Maureen Callahan discusses the lack of details in the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie's mom, slamming the Sheriff's media appearances for his inability to disclose information responsibly, and the mainstream media for their softball line of questioning. Then Maureen takes shots at Peter Attia for his crude emails to Jeffrey Epstein and his lengthy public apology that was littered with excuses. Maureen is later joined by Royal biographer and New York Times bestselling author Lady Colin Campbell to dish on former Prince Andrew's newly released Epstein file photos, Meghan Markle's soiled reputation, and Harry's desperation to make money through speaking engagements. Hello and welcome to the Nerve at Night. I am your host Maureen Callahan and as always, we have a ton to get to today. To begin, we are going to be talking about the Major, the only headline really that's happening right now. Today show host Savannah Guthrie's mother was abducted from her home. 84 year old Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home sometime on the night of January 31st or early that morning. And it is beyond clear a crime has been committed. This story has multiple layers and we're going to come at it as only the Nerve can. There is a major aspect of this case that is crucial and that the mainstream media has no choice but to avoid. They cannot comment on it. We can and we will. Then we will be unveiling our newest offender in the culture who has been caught up in the Epstein files. When I sometimes I think to myself, you know what? Everyone's in them. Everyone's in them. Obviously that's not the case, but this one surprised me. I shouldn't be surprised, but I was. And then later in the show, you guys loved Lady Colin Campbell, otherwise known as Lady C, as did we. And Lady C is back to dish on the Royals and she's got a take on the Andrew photos that were contained in the latest Epstein Epstein dump over the weekend. That shocked me, really, and one I wholeheartedly disagree with. But it's an interesting take and you've got to admire her spine for saying what she really thinks. Okay, troublemakers, are you ready? Okay, so we are going to begin today's show with a story that is just unbelievable, unthinkable, and it's the only story anybody's talking about. Today show host Savannah Guthrie's mother has been abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona. She's 84 years old. She is. She does not have dementia. The sheriff in this case, and we're going to get to him, has said publicly many times that the family has insisted that Nancy is as sharp as attack. This is not a case of an older woman struggling with dementia who wandered off into the middle of the night. And from personal experience, I know what that's like. This is not that. Okay, she was abducted. Now we're going to give you the latest, the latest updates in this case and then we're going to talk about what everybody else that's covering this case can't and won't talk about. The Daily Mail reporting on Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie's mother was dragged from her home and abducted. Terrifying new crime scene scene details emerge as cops hunt mysterious car. So they have a lead. Her apple watch. Nancy's apple watch stopped syncing with her pacemaker. So they know they have, they have a good time frame now of when this abduction took place. They're not saying what the timestamp is, but they're telling us they know blood was found inside the house. Law enforcement sources say that blood drops were found leading from the entryway of Nancy's house to her driveway. And a doorbell camera she owned was removed by the time investigators arrived on Sunday. So Nancy's wallet, cell phone, Apple watch and car were all still there, which means this is not a robbery. Matt Murphy, who knows what he's talking about. You may know Matt if you watch Dateline or 48 Hours or if you're a fan of MK True Crime, which I highly recommend. He was a prosecutor, a criminal prosecutor for years, and he has seen a lot. And he's now with MK Media. And he was on Megan's show on Monday saying what had occurred to me. I'm going to talk a little bit about what I learned while reporting American Predator. And my brain did not want to go there, but when Matt said it, I was like, yeah, you know, it's. This is probably sexual in nature and sexual predators, like nobody ever ages out for a sexual predator. There's no, there's no reason to kidnap an 84 year old woman from her home. It's not a ransom. What's the motive? According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, Nancy was last seen Saturday night around 9:30pm Dropped off at her Catalina foothills home following a dinner with Savannah's sister, Annie Guthrie. And Annie is thought to be the last person to see Nancy Guthrie before she disappeared. We're going to take a look now at what is a very crucial aspect in high profile cases like this, in cases where a clock is ticking, how law enforcement engages with the media. Now, of course, this is a national story and the national media is all over it. This case covers it's many realms here. You're going to see this case on the COVID of People magazine this week. It's going to be covered on Access Hollywood, on Entertainment Tonight as well as hard news. It's both. It's a celebrity story. It's as much as it is a true crime story. And it's a media story. This is what the mainstream media can't say the sheriff who is leading this investigation is for. Okay, he's Barney Fife. My opinion, he doesn't know what he's doing. He's in way over his head and he is causing real damage to this investigation, my opinion, and causing real damage to recovering Nancy as soon as humanly possible. And you want to know why he's out here talking to NBC News, Savannah's home, that's her network and News Nation and CNN and holding pressers. First of all, he's falling in love with the limelight. You can see it. And I'm going to tell you the tells, okay? And secondly, he's never, ever, you can tell, handled a case with this level of severity and gravity and consequence and danger, let alone a case that involves somebody so high profile because he's out here giving help to whoever took Nancy. Here he is. First of all, he's talking to Tom Lamas. But he told CNN when they asked him before, before these other details came out, you know, you could put it together. Oh, well, we absolutely know it's an abduction. How do you know that? Well, that crime scene must have been a mess. There must have been blood at the crime scene. What do we learn 24 hours later? There was blood at the crime scene. And they believe she was taken from her bed in the dead of night. And there is a case that I covered in American Predator that invest. Even the FBI was like, there's no way this happened. There's no way this happened the way the person they eventually caught for it said it happened and it happened. And it's the only thing I could think about when I heard about this. It was the only thing I could think about. You know, they always say in. In investigations like this, don't look for zebras among horses. Meaning you. Usually it's the simplest explanation is the most likely, but sometimes there are zebras. Now this guy, Sheriff Chris Nanos, he's a. He's asked, well, well, how do you know she was taken against her will again before any of these details came out? And he says to CNN, well, I've been doing this for 50 years. I have a gut feeling this, this tells you everything you need to know. This guy is falling in love with the media attention, okay? He's becoming, My opinion, my opinion. More interested in his buffering his own bonafides out here in the national media than the actual. He can't handle it, okay? There's a reason the FBI is involved, okay? The FBI is going to say we're in. You know why we're involved? Because, like, she could have been taken across the border. She could have been taken across the southern border. And you know what? We can federalize this now and we can come in and do the work. No, no, no. You know why I think the FBI is involved? Because this guy doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. That's why. Now he's on NBC Nightly News with Tom Lamas. This was the lead story. Of course it was on the nightly news. It's 8 minutes and 30 seconds long, this interview. That. That is a lot of time. That is a lot of time, okay? And I don't understand how media training, if it is not given to law enforcement leaders everywhere. It should be, okay? It should be, because this guy's doing real damage. Again, just my opinion, but I've got a lot. I've got a lot of history working with law enforcement, talking to the FBI, knowing how they run their investigations, what they do and don't tell the media. How, how, how. One slip to the media can be the ma. It can be life or death. Not kidding, Not Kidding. Now Tom Lamas asks Pima county sheriff Chris Nanos, does he have a message for the abductor or the abductors? Here we go. What would you say to someone who.
A
If they're holding Nancy Guthrie right now, what's your message to them? It's. It's not just my message. It's the community's message. It is the family's message. Just. Just call us. Let her go. Just call us. We family would tell you there's no questions asked here.
B
What criminal who may be sexually motivated, who's beyond a predator. This is an animal. Took an 80, kidnapped an 84 year old sickly woman from her bed in the middle of the night and dragged her out of the house. And there's blood on the floor. This clown thinks a vicious violent predator or predators like that are going to believe. Oh, hey, we could just drop Nancy off at the front of the sheriff's office and they're not going to ask any questions. They're just going to let us go. Is this guy for real? For real. Then he tells Tom, you know what, Tom? This stuff just doesn't happen in Tucson. It's just not typical. You know what, asshole? This isn't atypical crime, okay? Law enforcement at every level would tell you it is extremely rare for stranger abductions. Number one are extremely rare. Okay, Same with homicide. It's very rare. Normally it's somebody who is known to the victim. Normally it's somebody who has quite an intimate relationship with the victim. But this guy's sitting here with his thumb up his ass. Here we go. Here we go.
A
This is just a really sad for our community. I know it's sad for your team, but it's sad for our community too. Savannah is family to us. She's a big part of this community. Her family is devastated. The entire family. Just doesn't happen in Tucson. We don't. You don't see someone at 84 years of age go home, go to bed, and in the middle of the night, just disappear.
B
Well, sheriff Nanos, you do see it happen in Tucson because it just did happen in Tucson. And he says you don't see someone abduct an 84 year old woman from her bed while we just.
C
We.
B
It just happened. Okay, so why was homicide immediately called in? If you're trying to walk all this back and say you don't really know what the motive was and it wasn't a robbery. And I'm not going to say that we believe she's no longer with us. You know, Even though we've made it very clear to the national media that Nancy needs medication every 24 hours to keep her alive, that without said medication, she'll die. Why was Homicide immediately called to the crime scene? Here we go.
A
Well, you know, the call comes into me. I get them, like I say quite often me. And usually I get our homicide team out on these, unless there's a body found, and knock on wood, what. This one was an advisory that this 84 lady was missing from a residence. There was something else there that didn't click. And I don't want to get into all those details, but we clearly. I clearly knew.
B
I clearly knew here.
A
And we immediately started this in two separate avenues. One, the search and rescue mission. Our search and rescue teams, our helicopters, our airplanes, our drone, everything we threw at this, all our airlines.
B
It's not rescue if homicides are women.
A
On the ground, our volunteers, hundreds of people out looking for her. Then we also took the other approach, and that's we contact our criminal investigation team, Homicide specifically, and get them to look at the evidence that's in front of us that that's concerning to us. And so we've taken it in both ways. We're still not giving up hope. We still hope we can find her alive and safe, but we. It would.
B
It would be amateur.
A
Very bad for us to just ignore what we see in front of us and not proceed in a criminal investigation as well. This.
B
This guy is a total fucking amateur. I'm sorry. Notice he keeps saying I, I, I, me, me, me. It came to me. It came to me. He's the big dog. He's the big dog in this show. He's loving this attention, trust me. And by the way, we saw in that clip a still photo of Nancy Guthrie with her dog. So what about the dog? Tom, you should have asked. What about the dog? Was the dog found at the scene? Is the dog alive? Is the dog dead? I'm telling you, if that dog was killed at the crime scene, they know she's dead. You know, I'm sorry. They called Homicide in. I'm not trying to get ahead of the story here at the least, but what I'm saying is this. This guy, what he's doing right now is he's telegraphing to the animals who took Nancy Guthrie. Again, he doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. You know, they're now three days, four days behind this crime, and the more time that elapses, the harder it is to solve them. And he had the gall to say well, you know, yeah, we did call in homicide, but we did two arms of this investigation, and the first one is a search and rescue. It's not search and rescue when you believe that there's a homicide. It's a search and recovery. Every word matters. Now, Chris, who's warming to the cle of the camera, insists to all of us out here who know damn well Savannah, celebrity does matter here. It is relevant here. But he's going to say it's not relevant here. And then he also says that hundreds of tips have come in, which is not a good thing. Okay? It's also telegraphing to whoever took Nancy that, hey, we're buried under hundreds of tips. Because you know what happens when you open a tip line and hundreds of tips come in, as they always do, the cops got to run down every single one of those tips. And it's a time waster. It's a time suck. And he won't say why they immediately or he I, I, I, I immediately suspected homicide. But he does let this slip. Listen to this stand that do you.
A
Have any reason to believe this was targeted? You know, again, we would never rule that out, but we've worked with, with Savannah and her family, the FBI, the law enforcement in this community is so great. We, we work as a regional effort.
B
Are you should have found her by now.
A
This valley I am blessed to be able to have a team of law enforcement officers.
B
I, I, I, my team, I'm blessed over federal.
C
What gives a shit about you?
A
Reach out to me.
B
Me, me, me, me. Okay, now, before we get to his interview with Elizabeth Vargas, I want to talk a little bit about the case I mentioned earlier that was part of American Predator, which was the book I wrote in 2019 about Israel Keys, who was a serial killer the likes of which the FBI had never seen before, ever. And among his victims was a couple named Bill and Lorraine Currier. And they were taken from their very small community of Essex, Vermont. And one of the parallels that I see, and I'm in no way saying that this is what happened here, but there are parallels. And this is why the Keyes case should be better known among law enforcement especially so Essex, Vermont. Keys chose these small towns to commit these heinous crimes in because he knew that the police departments would have no idea how to even begin investigating and that they would be just it would be Keystone Cops and he would have plenty of time to put as much distance between himself and the crime scene as possible. He was always right about it. He was always right. So Bill And Lorraine disappeared from their home in Essex, Vermont in the middle of the night. And this was around, I want to say, 2012. And they were a middle aged couple, they were both overweight, which is just, it's salient, It's a salient detail. They didn't have a lot of mobility issues, much as Nancy at 84 has mobility issues. They seem to be age related. So there was no way they knew immediately. The family knew. There's no way she wandered off, went off on her own volition, like she, I think she needs a wheelchair if she's going to go any distance longer than 50 yards. So Bill and Lorraine, equally like they weren't nimble people, they were very sickly, they had a ton of medications and they just vanished in the middle of the night. And I spoke in depth to the local investigators who spearheaded that investigation and the lieutenant I spoke to who spearheaded it told me like his name was George Murty. M U R T I E they had no idea. They had not even a theory of the case to go on, not even a theory of the case. And this case went cold. It was just a cold case. And then the FBI caught, with the help of the Texas Rangers, Israel Keys down in Texas. He had been on a killing spree. He had killed all over the United states. And his M.O. is terrifying. It's all in the book. The point is, when they began talking to Keys, he said to them, I want the death penalty and I want it fast. And they said to him, well, if you want the death penalty, you need to give us more bodies because we need to be able to prove that you're someone who's such a danger that you should be exterminated from the face of the earth. And he said, okay. He said, I'll give you two bodies. I'll give you two bodies and a name. Now he's up in Alaska at this point. That's where he was living. He says, I need you to pull up a map. And so the FBI pulls up a map and he says, okay, I need you to go to Vermont. And they're like, vermont. And he says, I went there hunting. That's what he called it. I went hunting there. And I, I came upon this house. And he was a contractor. So he figured out, he figured out the layout. It was a modest, like, ranch house and it had an attached garage. And he was always careful to look for no evidence of children or pets. And he saw no evidence of children or pets. As he staked out the house, he cut the phone Line to see if an alarm would go off. There was no alarm. And he entered through the garage, broke into the kitchen. Bill and Lorraine were in their 60s. Okay, so again, Keys was a sexually motivated predator. And male, female, didn't matter to him. He said, from the time he broke in through the kitchen door, got to their bedroom, woke them up in the middle of the night, zip tied them, had them bound and hog tied on their beds, six seconds. And after Keys confessed to this, which, again, the FBI was in disbelief, they didn't believe it at first. It turned out he could have done it that way. He was trained in the army. He was special ops. Anyway, he then abducted Bill and Lorraine, he put them in their own car, drove out of their garage in the middle of the night, took them to a second location where he tortured and killed them, and left the remains. And the remains, to this day, have never been found. And so Bill and Lorraine, even though he confessed to the kidnapping, torture, rape, and murder of Lorraine, it's unclear if he sexually assaulted Bill. It doesn't seem like it. They, to this day are listed as missing persons, not victims of homicide. Now, the other corollary with the Keys case is that there was a prosecutor who grossly overstepped his role. And it was believed among the task force and the team that, you know, and this was my supposition, too, and it's the logical one. Cases like this can turn people into stars. It can turn investigators into stars, attorneys into stars, judges into stars. We all saw it with O.J. and the FBI also talked to me a lot about the media attention and how they had to navigate the media, and especially when it came to the abduction of Keys. Last known victim, who was a teenage girl named Samantha Koenig. And the local PD in Anchorage gave comments to the local media that helped Israel Keys. And Israel Keys knew. He knew. He told the FBI when they finally caught him. I knew that Anchorage PD would not be able to handle the likes of me. This sheriff, in my estimation, is a very dangerous guy. And if I were above this sheriff, I'd be yanking him right now from lead on this case. And I'd be yanking him as the point of contact for the national media. And I would be installing somebody who knows what the they're doing. Savannah Guthrie. You know, he's going to give details about her. He has no business giving none, in my estimation. Just my opinion. So here he is, Sheriff Chris Nanos. You know, nominative determinism. Nanos. Nano. Nothing. Zero. Here he is with Elizabeth Vargas on news Nation. And Elizabeth Vargas is asking some really good questions here. Really good. Okay. First she asks, well, if you're not going to say that this is a homicide or a violent abduction and that this woman was taken against her will, and you guys clearly think she's dead because you called homicide in. Why is a criminal team involved? Chris, Here we go.
A
We're going to do our search and rescue mission. We're going to find her. But I also felt like we need to get our homicide, our criminal investigation team involved early on because I just didn't like what I was hearing.
B
I didn't like what I was hearing. All of this, this, this self aggrandizing stuff tells me this guy is terrible at his job. Terrible. Okay, secondly, he says something you should never say. We're going to find her. He doesn't know that. How does he know that? They have no leads. They have no leads on where she is. Sorry, they don't. We would know. And by the way, he, this again. He's telling the people who took her we don't know what the fuck we're doing. Now he is going to tell us why, even though he just said this is a search and rescue mission. Again, that's only if they think the missing person is alive. Otherwise it's a search and recovery mission because you're recovering the remains. You hope. Now he's going to tell us why he thinks that Nancy Guthrie will not be found alive.
A
But I will say that I've been doing this 50 years and my team.
B
I've been doing this.
A
Sometimes I'm just wrong. My God, I hope I'm wrong. But there's some concerns there that says no shit. Typically we wait for a body to be found and then our homicide team goes out to that body and starts their investigation. This isn't that case. And I just felt like we need them to get started early on. Let's see what we can do to get this case going and hopefully the best happens where we do find her somewhere safe and sound. But we just can't ignore what's in.
C
Front of us, right?
B
How ineffectual is this guy? You know, I thought it was really best to get the ball rolling. You don't say? An 84 year old woman is taken against her will from her bed in the middle of the night and there's blood on the floor and you think it's best to get the ball rolling early? You know, it's not filing your taxes on time, it's not trying to get a jump on itemizations Chris, I can't even call this guy sheriff. He's such a joke. Such a joke. Now Elizabeth Vargas is advancing the story with her line of questioning. This is really good questioning. Here we go.
A
And a security team. We've spoken with them, and we're talking with Savannah and looking into any potential threats or any of that. And we just not. That's. That's not getting us there. We're not.
C
We don't.
A
Right now. Nothing indicates that to be the case.
B
Yeah, sadly. So what Elizabeth Vargas asked was, is there any evidence to point to Savannah being the target? In other words, that whoever did this, whoever took Nancy, was motivated by some sort of grudge against Savannah, vengeance against Savannah. And he says not only. No. So that's off the table. They have evidence that. That he's been talking. That law enforcement has been talking to Savannah's security team. And I'm so sure Savannah loves, now that America knows that she requires a security team, which means she gets threats, very serious ones. You know, Chris, why don't you stop trying to show how well you know TVs Today show star Savannah Guthrie and just stop running your mouth. Now he's going to tell the criminals, the violent predators who took Nancy. Predator predators, that they have no idea what's going on here. They don't have a theory of the case as discussed. Here we go.
A
You asked the very question that my team is asking. Why take this woman from her home?
B
Right? Yes. That is the question.
A
We'll find those answers.
B
God.
A
Through our investigative efforts in downloading some of the electronics and some digital cameras, whatever we can do, whether it's analytical work on cell phones, cameras, license plate readers, all of that is being done. It just takes some time. It's never fast enough.
B
Oh, really? That's so great for them to know. They still got a huge jump on law enforcement. You know, they could be across the border by now. Chris, because of all your warm encouragement, this guy shot the bed, and he's continuing to shit the bed. He needs to be removed immediately. Just my opinion. Just my opinion. Now, the other thing I'm going to say about all the mistakes that Chris is making. So I. I spent like a year and a half talking every week to an FBI agent who I believe has since retired, named Steve Payne. And Steve led the FBI investigation into the Israel Keys case. And he talked to me about the psychological warfare that interrogators engage in when they're up against a violent predator like this. And they don't have a lot of physical evidence. Clearly There is not a lot of physical evidence of the crime scene here. Because if there were, I think Chris would have told us. He said, listen, this the way I like to work is the less I know, the less I'm going to show you or tell you. And that some investigators really like to go into a scenario like that where law enforcement is on the back foot and they feel that the criminal has leverage, you know, because they don't have tons of physical evidence. That some investigators will go into a room with, like, a box full of paper and say, this is all the evidence so far that we've got against you. And of course, all of that paper is blank. Blank. But Steve is like, no, no, no, no, no. I think less is more. And what I'll do is go in with one photo, one photo of surveillance video of that person at the crime scene and say, this is just the tip of the iceberg, man. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what we've got. And when we're done with you, there's not a judge in the country that wouldn't sentence you to life in prison in a federal supermax. And there's not a security guard in those prisons who wouldn't turn their back and let those inmates tear and limb. But Chris would like to help and tell us everything he knows. He's very excited, very excited to have caught this major case. What a. Oh, my God. Now, Savannah's husband, who works as, like a publicity consultant, like an image consultant, spoke to Page Six. And I think this was a mistake. I think this was a huge mistake. Savannah Guthrie's husband. I'm reading from the report. Michael Feldman has broken his silence on the disappearance of his mother in law, Nancy Guthrie. Feldman, 57, exclusively told Page Six on Tuesday morning that he doesn't, quote, have anything new to report in the desperate search for Nancy. Again, this is helpful to the criminals, the predators who took this poor woman. The public relations and communications consultant. Okay, so that's his formal title I'm reading from the report. The public relations and communications consultant. Well, sir, I would never, ever, ever hire you after this. Added that he's, quote, just being responsive, but feels, quote, mostly unhelpful in the gut wrenching situation. This was not necessary, Michael. You should have kept your mouth shut. We here at the Nerve will continue to cover this story as it unfolds. And of course, we are all hoping for only the best outcome in what is an unthinkable tragedy. Coming up, we've got a new resident going to the woodshed and then we've got your feedback. We are back in a minute. When was the last time you truly trusted the seafood that you brought home? I'm really on the bubble about woodshed or wood chipper. Many of you probably know who this guy is, and if you don't, you're going to learn he's a relevant person in the culture. His name is Peter Attia and he wrote a monster book that still hits the bestseller list called Outlive. He has a very popular podcast called Peter Atia Drive. He's a doctor who never completed his residency and has never been board certified. But he's got a private practice and to get in to see him, he charges between at least 100 and $150,000 per year. I've heard numbers up as high as $200,000 per year. And he is a total thought leader in the space. He was just hired by CBS News by Barry Weiss to become a contributor. And guess who's in the Epstein files. And it's not just that his name or his contact info surfaced in the Epstein files. He was emailing with Jeffrey Epstein in a very, very chummy, sexually charged way. Now, Peter Attia has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing, but nonetheless, his name appears in the records released by the Justice Department hundreds of times. And his communications with Jeffrey Epstein are more extensive than previously known. Now, the Hollywood Reporter, they posted this yesterday. Tuesday, CBS News pulls 60 minute segment with Peter Attia from rerun after Epstein files revelation. There have also been reports in the wrap and other trades that CBS wants to cut Atiya loose. Okay, and the bari Weiss is really making a name for herself over there. Has been arguing to keep him. I don't think Barry's gonna get her way on this one. Call me crazy, but I don't. Okay, so we're gonna read a little bit of these exchanges and then we're gonna read a little bit of Peter's apology and explanation for what the fuck he was doing here. Okay? These are included in the documents released on Friday. An exchange from 2015 in which Atiya wrote a note, an email redacted by the Justice Department partly it bore the subject line, got a fresh shipment. Epstein responded, quote, me too, with a photo that was also redacted. Atiya responded, please tell me you found that picture online. Ellipses bastard. End quote. Epstein replied, afraid not. Atia wrote back that quote, the biggest problem with becoming friends with you, end quote, is that quote, the life you lead is so outrageous and yet I can't tell a soul. Keep that in mind when I get to Atiya's explanation as to what that meant, because Atiya says there was no nefarious intent there and absolutely no reference to the depravity and the criminality, the sex trafficking that Jeffrey Epstein was up to. Atia says it has nothing to do with that. Keep that. Keep that in mind among the messages. Well, first of all, I'll get to that later. Among the other messages in 2016, Atiya, again, this is a guy who is positioning himself as America's doctor, much the way Oprah, you know, is America's foremost thought leader. These people, they're dark. They're effing dark. I think Peter Attia is a dark, effing guy. Attia wrote to Epstein, forgive me for. I'm gonna. I'm gonna say the word and it's crass and I hate it, so I'm just warning you. But this is what he wrote, and we need to know. He wrote to Epstein. Attia did quote, pussy is indeed low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though. This is how these people try to impress each other. You know, we. He thinks he's. He thinks I'm going to make Jeffrey Epstein laugh. I'm going to make Jeffrey Epstein like me. Now, after this broke, Peter Attia wrote a lengthy apology explanation that he posted on X, which is really not the place, Peter. I mean, you know, it's for pithy stuff on X. But he wrote a very lengthy. Oh, God. So he said he wrote it to his team and he made it public so that everybody could know. To be clear, Atiya wrote, I was not involved in any criminal activity. My interactions with Epstein had nothing to do with his sexual abuse or exploitation of anyone. Remember that. Pussy's low carb. This three. I was never on his plane, never on his island, and never present at any sex parties. I'm sure that really bummed him out. Just my opinion, that said, I apologize and regret putting myself in a position, blah, blah, blah. Okay, now, as for the exchange where Atia says that when he wrote to Epstein, the problem with becoming friends with you, forgive me if this is not verbatim, is that I can't talk about it and I can't tell any of the outrageous stories that I would like to tell. That's the. That's the extrapolation, just my extrapolation. Here is what Peter Attia says he really meant by that. And I'm quoting, I'm reading from his apology on X right now from my laptop. At that point in my career, Atiya writes, I had little exposure to prominent people, and that Level of access. Sorry, I almost said excess. You know, he says access here. A, C, C, E, S, S was novel to me. Everything about him seemed excessive. That's with an E. Excessive and exclusive. You don't say. Including the fact that he lived in the largest home in all of Manhattan. Now I would like to know, because Atia says here in his enumerated list at the top of this apology quote, I was never on his plane, never on his island, and never present at any sex parties. Peter, I would like to know, we here at the Nerve would like to know, did you ever go over to Epstein's townhouse? Because as we've all seen from the photos that, that the DOJ has released of that townhouse, who Jeffrey Epstein was, was all over that house in the artwork, and it's even talking about it. I feel vaguely nauseated. You know, the sexual imagery that was all over that townhouse, you know, this guy had trophies everywhere. All criminals at that level, they have trophies, they have photos. You know, so if you're telling me, Peter Atia, if you're. By me, I mean the collective us, really, that, gosh, golly gee, you were just like a guy with stars in your eyes and you had never met anybody famous or prominent before and like somebody opened a velvet rope to you and what other choice did you have but to walk right in? I always quote Courtney Love on the red carpet back when, well before the Harvey Weinstein story broke and she was asked by an otherwise useless idiot over at like, Entertainment Tonight or whatever, hey, Courtney, like, do you have any advice for any aspiring actresses new to Hollywood? And Courtney, off the top of her head said, yeah, I do. If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private meeting in his hotel suite, don't go. You're going to tell me that Jeffrey Epstein, who did time in 2012 for sexual abuse of a minor child. This thing was covered, by the way, by the New York Post, relentlessly. Nobody really touched it. But the posted. He never. Okay, okay, sure, okay. Insult our intelligence while you're at it. I hope this guy's reputation falls off a cliff. And by the way, he's going to give an excuse that when we talk to Lady C, she's going to tell us something similar about the line that Epstein would throw out among all of these, like, high powered people, very powerful, wealthy, famous people as to why he did that time and what he said the misunderstanding was and that so many people really wanted to buy it. I mean, I don't buy it. It does not pass my BS meter Okay. I think people wanted to believe it and knew it was a line of bullshit. Just my opinion. Now Peter Atia goes on to say, the stars in his eyes, one of our foremost pedophiles and child sex traffickers wants to be friends with him. How flattering. How flattering. Now Peter, Peter Attia, of course, says he had no idea that. That Epstein was up to any of this, which, again, I find hard to believe. Now Peter goes on to say he was really impressed. The townhouse Jeffrey owned a Boeing 727. He hosted parties with the most powerful and prominent leaders in business and politics. I treated that access as something to be quiet about rather than discussed freely with others. One line in that exchange about his life being outrageous and me not being able to tell anyone is being interpreted as awareness of wrongdoing. That is not how I meant it at all. What I was referring to, poorly and flippantly, was the discretion commanded by those social and professional circles. The idea that you don't talk about who you meet, the dinners you attend, and the power of an influence of the people in those settings. What I wrote in that email reads terribly, and I own that. Listen, I don't buy it. I don't buy it. They all talk amongst each other. It's not like Peter Atiya had to keep his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein super private. I mean, he could talk to anybody at that level at those parties, at those dinner parties. Remember? No sex parties. No sex parties. No sex parties.
C
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
B
I think he's slinging a line of horseshit. I'm sick of it. Anyway, just my opinion. Now to your emails. This is from troublemaker Rhonda. Thank you so much for your supportive troublemakers Rhonda. Thanks. The. The thanks is all due to the troublemakers for the support of the nerve and what we're all doing here. Okay? Rhonda writes, I have been so alone, struggling to understand why everyone loves Hollywood so much when I hate it. I think they are godless, soulless people who don't care about anything but themselves and money. By you breaking down all the bullshit they are involved in, I realized that I was reading them all correctly. Let them destroy each other. I think we're safer that way. None of their movies are making any money because fans have turned away from them. You know, Rhonda, this is a salient point. So many people in Hollywood, whether they're front, your front, facing movie stars, dying movie stars, or the business end will say, you know, it's all been disrupted by streaming and we're all still trying to find our way around this new landscape. They are actively, deliberately, willfully denying that the culture is collectively turning its back. And if you guys did not listen to the conversation I had with Rob Shooter on Tuesday's Nerve about Justin Bieber and his self presentation performing at the Grammys and how alarming it is and how Justin was basically saying to a room full of his peers and bosses, you've done this to me. You've broken me. I am a shell of a human being because of you. That there's only one way to read that. Rhonda's right. Okay. Hi, Maureen. I tear up every time you mention listeners dogs on the show. They're my bad. They're the best. Agreed. This is troublemaker Nina. Speaking of Justin Bieber, I refuse to buy road products because I'm not a fan of Haley Smart. And our troublemaker includes a photo of her little doggie girl Kindle who we're showing here. Our troublemaker says she's so rotten. I know exactly what you mean. She means it with affection. I'm convinced she understands all of our conversations. We have to spell things out and now she understands that. Laugh out loud. You know, there was a study that was just released Troublemaker that said that dogs are like, they basically have like the, they understand language in much the way a two year old does. You know, they, they do recognize certain words. They're so smart. Are dogs okay? Hi. I was catching up on episodes recently listened to the two that covered Ashton Kutcher. I opened Instagram later that day and lo and behold, this troublemaker Mackenzie is because your phone is spying on you. The first video that loaded in my feed was a clip of a 25 year old Ashton. Again, this is troublemaker Mackenzie self report talking about 15 year old Hillary Duff in which he lists several of her accomplishments before stating that she was also one actress. That quick quote, we are all waiting to turn 18 along with the Olsen twins. For your consideration, a category on the Next Nerve Awards 2026 for the biggest pervs on our nerves. Marina, please take a note. Pervs on our nerves. And no offense, Marina. She writes that Bill Maher will have some competition. Okay, this is from troublemaker Amy. I love the name Amy spelled the way this troublemaker spells hers. A I M, E E. It's too bad Amy writes that you can't copyright a catchphrase. I hear people say allegedly reportedly a lot now but never heard it before you said it. It's so funny because I was just on Rob Finnerty show on Newsmax on Monday night. And before we went to air, he said to me, you know, I say, I. I said to him, rather I said, you know, I caught your show a week or so ago and I heard you say allegedly, reportedly, just my opinion. And I said, rob, you gotta be fair here and give the nerve the credit for that, you know? And he said, you know what? You're absolutely right. I really do. But, like, after I saw it, I sent him an email and I was like, I see you, troublemaker. I see you. Our final email Our final email is from a troublemaker who asks to remain anonymous. I will say this troublemaker is male, though, because it makes it funnier. If the lyrics below meet your approval, use them, but credit an anonymous troublemaker. I hope they give you a chuckle, too. Oh my God, did they give me a chuckle. This. These lyrics are to be sung to the tune of Frere Jacques, right? It's Frere Jacques, right? But it's Frere Jacques. But you sing it Frere Jacques, okay? The brilliance of the troublemaker community on display as ever. Where is Steadman? Where is Steadman? No one knows. No one knows. Oprah isn't talking. Gail's behind her walking. Where is he? Or is he dead? Marlene is laughing out loud in my ear. Keep your feedback coming. Email me at maureen devilmaycare media.com or DM me on Instagram at Maureen Callahan, writer, or at the Nerve Show. C
Delighted to be here, Maureen. Lovely to see you.
B
Oh God, I have to tell you, that pearl tiara is just exquisite. I can't get over it. I can't get over it. Okay, let's talk about the very, the biggest, I think, royal story. I know it was dominating and splashed all over the British tabloids this weekend. The photo of Prince Andrew from the Epstein files. The former Prince Andrew, current Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, hovering over a young woman or teenage girl who was on the floor, splayed out on the floor, face up. Her face was redacted. It's unclear whether she's conscious or not. And in one of the photos, he's touching her. He's barefoot. He seems glassy eyed. Lady C. We've heard as far as I know, as far as our reporting goes, Andrew has yet to say anything. What do you know and what does this latest disclosure mean for the royals?
C
Well, I think it's very awkward for the royals, but I have to say I've looked at that photograph and she can't be passed out because one minute, you know, one photograph her hand is on the floor, the next her left hand is up. So, so she can't have been passed out. And I thought then there's somebody fully closed behind. They're all fully closed. I mean, you're too young, but I'm not too young. I remember what the 80s and 90s were like and people used to clone around and horse around and that sort of thing. I mean, I'm not saying that, that everybody did it and certain certainly wasn't done in very sophisticated circles, but Andrew is not very sophisticated. He's a great clown and he's well known to be a bit of a bore B o o R as well as B O R E and I think it's most likely perfectly innocent. I honestly do not think there's anything sexual or. And I have no concerns about it, I've got to say, you know, I.
B
Think, yeah, I mean, that's an interesting take. I think, you know, here in America, we are shocked. We have been seeing photographic images of our own leaders. Bill Clinton, for example, in a pool with Ghislaine Maxwell and a young woman, the director of the Melania documentary, Brett Ratner, who had been me too ed out of Hollywood. This is meant to be his comeback. There's a photo of him in that dump with his arms around what looks like a teenage girl who is sandwiched between Ratner and Epstein. I think without the context of Andrew's close friendship with Epstein, of emails in which he's asking for inappropriate friends. What do you make Lady C of the emails between Sarah Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein?
C
Oh, I mean, talk about sleazy, you know, I mean, the woman has her begging bowl out in the most gross fashion. That's pretty dreadful. You know, it's inelegant, it's gimme, gimme, gimme. And also she's busy sucking up to him in the grossest fashion. I mean, I actually had had something against Jeffrey Epstein personally because. So I should declare an interest because he tried to steal one of my closest friends Belgravia platform under her in the early 80s. So he was a hate figure in our circle from the early 80s.
B
Sorry, Lady C. He tried to take one of your best friends?
C
No, he tried to steal one of my best friend's flats from under her.
B
Oh, flats. One of her apartments, yeah.
C
Yes, a Belgrave apartment.
B
Oh, wow. So very wealthy.
C
But he was. But the point I'm making is he always was dreadful and. But he was very charming and. But he. So once he did that, we absolutely loathed him in our circle. And I think the guy was a total sleazebag. But, you know, I honestly think that a lot of the photographic evidence that is being deployed. For instance, Bill Clinton in the pool with Gillian Maxwell. I'm sorry, I think that's perfectly innocent. I mean, there's nothing untoward about it, and I don't think there's anything gross about the Andrew photographer, But I think that Jeffrey Epstein used to set people up in the hope that he could spin things to their disadvantage if it suited him. I mean, the guy was basically a sleazebag and I think a bit of a blackmailer.
B
Oh, definitely a blackmailer. I think the issue is that these men, whether it's Andrew or Bill Clinton, whomever, were consorting and happily socializing with and engaged in, you know, to swim in a pool with somebody. It's a fairly intimate thing. You know, I don't go swimming with strangers in pools. You know, I just don't do it. But they knew that he had been. He had been sentenced to. Even though it was a very light sentence, to prison time in Palm beach for abuse of minor. Sexual abuse of minor girls. And I think that's where people cannot divorce an image, such as the Andrew image that broke this weekend or the Clinton images from who we all know Epstein to have been.
C
No, that's the thing, because I think that the sweetheart deal that Alan Dershowitz struck with the. With the Palm beach authorities actually allowed Jeffrey Epstein to go around telling people, which he did. Oh, it was all a terrible mistake. I didn't know that any of the girls were underage, and I thought they were prostitutes, because, remember, the deal was that he was soliciting underage girls for prostitution. That was the offense. And I think Jeffrey Epstein got a very. God knows how he got it, but he got the most amazing sweetheart. And I think on the back of that, and I'm not trying to take up for Jeffrey Epstein, by the way, I think the guy was a total sleazebag and deserved everything that he had coming to him. But I do think that he was then able to present to people because I know he did it, for instance, with Peter Mandelson, Lord Mandelson, who has lost his position as the British Ambassador to Washington as a result of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. But I know he did it with other people as well. He said, oh, you know, it was really all a terrible misunderstanding. I simply thought she was overage and she was underage and she was a prostitute in any way. And because of the way the sweetheart deal was framed, I think he was able to get away with that. So I think we need to have a sense of proportion and realize what happened when it happened and how he was able to play the system as brilliantly as he did to get away with things and to continue to get.
B
Away with things before we move off of this particular aspect of royal scandal and onto more lesser offenders, as it were. Lady C, I'm just curious, do you subscribe to the theory that many in America are coming around to that Jeffrey Epstein was a very high placed asset either among CIA and FBI in America or Mossad, or now there's rumors of KGB or British intelligence.
C
Well, he can't have been KGB because he tried to topple and helped to topple Putin in 2012.
B
Oh, I didn't know that.
C
Yeah. So he can't have been kgb. I have been told that he was Mossad and that he had strong links with the American secret services as well. And I think the way things were conducted up to the point when he was arrested suggests that he was being protected and he listened. This man functioned on the absolutely highest level with people all over the world.
B
Yes.
C
You know, and people seem to forget that. And they seem to think that all his dirty, filthy, nasty, sleazy, sexual stuff was out in the open. It wasn't out in the open with most people. It's obviously was in the, out in the open with his playmates, let's put it that way.
B
Ladies C, you've been told that he was high, he was Mossad and potentially and very highly placed in the American secret service. How would you describe your sourcing for that?
C
Pretty good. Pretty good.
B
Okay.
C
Also the evidence, because if the evidence contradicted my information, I would say, oh, that's rubbish. But the evidence shows that he was able, with alacrity and impunity, to go through life like a shark, just gobbling up people left, right and center and getting away with it.
B
Yes.
C
After, even after he was imprisoned, he was given, he was given what turned out to be actually a wonderful cover story for him, which was that, oh, basically I thought they, I thought they were overage and in any event they were just prostitutes because only a cabal.
B
Of evil men could come up with that qualifier. Oh, and either way, they were just prostitutes. They were subhuman. Who cares?
C
Well, but the fact of the matter is, they did come up with this. And I think it's inexcusable that they came up with it, but they did come up with it. And to me, the really intriguing thing is, why was he brought down when he was brought down, and by whom, and why? And that, to me, is a really intriguing fear.
B
You're absolutely right about that. Absolutely right. Do you have any theories as to why he was brought down when he was.
C
I do, but I'm not sure that this is the right. I think we should speak about this privately, and then we can speak about it publicly. I don't think I want to wade in publicly with it.
B
Fair enough.
C
Contentious.
B
Fair enough. Okay, let's move on to the Sussexes. The reports here in America are that they are having major financial problems. I actually read a report last week that they may be very quietly shopping their $14 million Montecito mansion, that it may be something of a pocket listing. Um, Megan has been dropped formally by Netflix, which announced. With love, Megan is done. Her podcast deal has been placed on ice. We all know it's done. Her business, as ever, seems to be failing. And Harry is basically going around the country pocketing about 200, 300k per paid speech to private corporations in North America. What are you hearing, Lady C?
C
Well, I'm hearing, first of all, that he only got 50,000 for Canada.
B
Oh, that is brutal. Brutal.
C
And he. You can now get him for. From 30 to 50,000 for smaller things, and it goes up to a maximum of 100 for larger things. That's what I'm hearing. Clearly, you're hearing something slightly different.
B
Well, the numbers are inflated here in America because I would bet your sourcing is dead on. 30K. That is so. That is a bargain basement royal for sale.
C
Precisely. When you stop to think he got a million from JP Morgan. I mean, that shows to what extent they have declined. I've been told that they are in big trouble financially, hence why they had to get rid of most of their expensive stuff. And also, I understand that things are very rocky with them at the moment. And of course, we have to have one tail, left eye in sympathy, one.
B
Tear, left eye go, Lady C. What are you hearing? Is the cause of the. Of the rockiness of the union? Is it the money? Is it that Harry is. Just as we have been told here in the States, the reporting is that he is so colossally miserable with his life in California. He misses his friends, he misses his family, he misses his sense of purpose. And Meghan is just hell bent like a laser on still breaking into a list circles in Hollywood. That's all she wants.
C
Well, it's not worked. And you know, Harry is very aware of the fact that he has been demoted from a position where six years ago, seven years ago, when Prince Harry walked into a room, everybody wanted to meet him. Now when Prince Harry walks into room, everybody wants to avoid him. Six years ago, Bob Iger, Beyonce, I mean Kris Jenner wasn't able to reach them six years ago. Great. They are sucking up to Kris Wretched Jenner. Give me a break. And he's, he's busy wanting to do more than sucking up to her. He looks as if he wants to suckle upon her.
B
Oh yes, that infamous photo which the nerve we crowned photo of the year. A seemingly drunken Harry leering at Kris Jenner's rack as Megan stood there like an idiot, just beaming. Yes, to your point. You know, he just, he seems utterly miserable. Now, did you hear anything? Because this was one of my favorite stories of the past week that Megan had been begging for an invite to Valentino's funeral in Rome.
C
Oh yes, and she was. But Valentino is the person himself who organized everything. The guest list, the flowers, who was going to be asked, who was going to be seated, where he organized the whole thing. And Meghan wasn't on the list and Meghan was. And they were never going to vary even one thing. So what does she then do? Stupidly puts out the story that she is considering going to the funeral. I mean, this woman has got to be nuts. I mean, how can you know that you cannot attend, there's no prospect of you being asked and you are saying that you might be attending, but anything to get her name in the papers, anything to just that day. And then the following day the caravan has moved on and it's another scene, another scenario. I think she's actually sick. I really.
B
Do you do you think there's something mentally like it's an illness, not just a personality disorder?
C
No, I think it's both a personality disorder and an illness. Nobody can be so addicted to publicity that they need on a daily basis to make an ass of themselves by announcing that they're going to go to a funeral that they know they cannot go to. She had to have known she couldn't have gone to it. I mean, did she think because she had scrubbed up an invitation from Balenciaga that she was going to be able to scrub up an invitation to Valentino's funeral. I mean, Balenciaga is not Balenciaga now.
B
Agreed.
C
You know, it's. I mean, and she's so ignorant, she wouldn't have understood that there's no way she could have scrubbed up an invitation to Cristobal Balenciaga's funeral, much less one of his shows. I just think the woman is tasteless, and I'm perplexed at her shamelessness. Now, I know it goes along with sociopathy, it goes along with narcissism, it goes along with Machiavellianism, it goes along with hysteria. But, I mean, you would have thought by now that she would have understood. But as far as she's concerned, as long as her name is in the paper, it doesn't matter.
B
Yes, bad attention is better than no attention. You know, I have two thoughts about the Valentino story, which really, you know, it takes a lot to shock me when it comes to Meghan Markle. And it shocked me not only for its utter ghoulishness, not only for the reptilian nature in which she regards any gathering of celebrities, even at a funeral for a beloved figure the likes of whom we will never see again a networking opportunity. Her father had had begged her to make an appearance at his bedside or to at least get in touch with him after his leg was amputated in the Philippines. And she basically said, never gonna happen. Leave me alone. What must a Thomas Markle be thinking?
C
Well, I know he's actually recovering rather well. I'm very.
B
We're all very happy to hear that.
C
I know he's recovering rather well, and he's. He has a wonderful character. Believe it. You know, I. I know he's not given credit often for a wonderful character, but he has a wonderful character. And I know this not only through his family, but I know this through Gigi Perrault, who. Who was a child star from a very top Hollywood family, who then ended up teaching Meghan drama because she's a friend of a friend of mine who put me in touch with Digi. And she said that Thomas Markle was one of the nicest, kindest, most decent people she had ever come across. And he. He has wonderful qualities, and I tell you, you have to respect them. The fact, for instance, that he had never betrayed one secret of Meghan's or Doria's, notwithstanding the tremendous provocation he has had to do so, and that he has also been very measured in the information he gave to his other children about Meghan. And about Doria, I mean, these are highly admirable qualities. And. But. But I know from Samantha that he is doing really rather better than she said he would do, you know?
B
Well, that is wonderful news. And yes, to your point, we all know that there is. It seems as though there is quite a bit of. Of. Of information Thomas Markle could have unleashed into the public square. To your point, Provoked so endlessly by his daughter and has shown extreme restraint and class and dignity in keeping his mouth shut. Same with Doria. You know, we here in America, there's a sort of press blackout. Nobody's allowed to ask what happened during that huge stretch of Meghan's childhood in which she was raised solely by Thomas. Can't touch it. Okay, fine. The other thing that occurred to me about vis a vis the Valentino scandal is, you know, it was Haute Couture Week in Paris last week, and I'm always watching who doesn't get an invitation to these things. Who didn't get an invitation to the Golden Globes or to the Grammy Awards. Who's not being asked to present. It's always Megan. It's always Meghan who is left off the guest list.
C
But do you remember a few years ago, she announced through her people that she was going to be presenting the Best Picture award at the Oscars?
A
Oh.
B
Oh, yes. You're so right.
C
I mean, again, we come back to this. She doesn't. She's shameless. She doesn't care that what she says is going to happen doesn't happen. As long as it's printed today, that it will happen tomorrow. When it doesn't happen tomorrow. The caravan has moved on. New dogs are barking.
B
Remember too, when she said, we don't know that it was her, but it seemed as though it came from Camp Montecito. She was going to become the new face of Dior, wishing and hoping and praying that they could get the likes of Meghan Markle to be the face of Dior. And Dior actually issued a statement and said, that is not happening. No.
C
And not only did they. Not. Not only did they issue the statement, but do you remember they actually gave Harry a suit which he wore?
B
That's right. Oh, that's right. In one of his many court battles. Right. He wore it for one of. Was that it or was it for.
C
No, I think he wore it to a funeral or some such thing.
B
It could have been the Queen's funeral, perhaps. I don't remember. We'll have to look it up. But that also reminds me, Lady C. So what is the take in the British press and amongst the British people regarding this latest court battle that Harry has been waging? You know, we read that. I think even the judge possibly rebuked him for weeping on the stand about how the media has made his wife's life such a misery. I mean, could you believe it?
C
Well, the whole thing was so ludicrous because of course, the time period covered has nothing to do with once he met Meghan, so Meghan's misery was of no consequence. But I know Mr. Justice Nicklene. Mr. Justice Nicklin oversaw my lawsuit against the Daily mirror, which. And Mr. Justice Nicklin is the top guy in defamation. And in that sort of scenario, anything to do with the press and I would be. And Mr. Justice Nicklin ticked Harry off not once or twice, but three times, telling him, excuse me, you know, you don't answer the question like, just say yes or no, your lawyers will put your case. And Harry actually snapped at Mr. Justice.
B
He did. What did he say?
C
Oh, I don't remember now, but it was sort of like. I mean, he snapped at him and.
B
He couldn't believe that a judge, a justice, was remonstrating him. He could not believe it.
C
Well, Mr. Justice Nicklin was trying to move on the matter without. Because Harry's feelings on this subject are neither here nor there. Because Harry also brought in his mother and his mother's death. His mother died in 1997, long before the period covered by the case, which is in any event out of time, because our statute of limitations is normally six years, but they managed to finagle it. And that might be a problem down the line because Sadie Frost, Simon Hughes, who is a barrister, so he's a lawyer, he was something to do with the Liberal Democrats, one of the three parties in this. Four parties now, but one of the formerly three parties in this country. And both he and Sadie Frost have sworn testimony to the fact that they had certain events happen when there is proof that they happened at another time as well, and that they were planting information through the byline times in which is. Which is a slut rag, yellow journalist sort of news agency in this country, which is very Harry and Meghan.
B
You would think that he would maybe consider cutting costs by cutting out all of this litigation. It's, it's, it's, it's unbelievable and it feels so gratuitous. And I just. I have to say that before we, we let you go, one of the things I do love most about you, Lady C, is your vocabulary. And in this segment alone. You have given us alacrity and impunity. Slut Rag, which I adore. And in your inaugural performance, a phrase that is going firmly into the Nerve lexicon regarding Meghan Markle. Insupportably dreadful. You have such a way with words. We just love you. Thank you so much for everything you've given us today.

Not kidding, Not Kidding.” | Maureen Callahan | | 12:26 | “What criminal... is going to believe... they’re not going to ask any questions?” | Maureen Callahan | | 16:02 | “This guy is a total fucking amateur. I’m sorry. Notice he keeps saying I, I, I...” | Maureen Callahan | | 27:14 | “I didn’t like what I was hearing. All of this, this, this self-aggrandizing stuff tells me this guy is terrible at his job. Terrible.” | Maureen Callahan | | 32:28 | “You should have kept your mouth shut. We here at The Nerve will continue to cover this story as it unfolds.” | Maureen Callahan | | 41:15 | “Pussy is indeed low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though.” | Peter Attia (reading email) | | 44:15 | “I think Peter Attia is a dark, effing guy... Insult our intelligence while you’re at it.” | Maureen Callahan | | 59:57 | “Andrew is not very sophisticated. He’s a great clown... most likely perfectly innocent.” | Lady Colin Campbell | | 61:55 | “The woman has her begging bowl out in the most gross fashion. This episode of The Nerve is a bracing, unfiltered ride through media, true crime, and royal spectacle. Maureen Callahan brings insider expertise and acerbic wit from start to finish—challenging the official narrative in the Savannah Guthrie case, skewering celebrity hypocrisy in medicine and monarchy, and welcoming Lady C for barbed, insightful royal commentary.
For listeners seeking depth, edge, and the conversation others won’t have, this episode of The Nerve delivers.
