Dusty is hitting the road to call some CFL action, so fan favourite Dave Jamieson is stepping into the big shoes alongside Lt. Eric and YouTube Trev for a loaded Thursday edition of The Nielson Show, streaming live on Edmonton Sports Talk! We started the show off by diving into Morning Announcements presented by Haddies Golf Shop to recap all the sports action from last night. In the middle of hour one, our first guest joined the show. Matt Taylor, the radio voice of the Indianapolis Colts stopped by to give a season preview on the Colts. What should fans expect from them, he touched on the changes they made in the offseason, what a real expectation for this team could be and the latest on Jonathan Taylor. We finished hour one by getting Fired Up for Gemco Fireplaces! We're fired up today about the Elks home game this weekend. We might be seeing a crowd we haven't seen in a long time.

We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia. It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda. In the middle of hour three, the boys determined the draft order for next weeks movie/tv death draft! This draft is absolutely stacked. We finished the show like we always do with The Wrap from William Huff.

The Baltimore Banner's Jonas Shaffer kicked off hour two on today's show! Jonas dove straight into Baltimore sports, breaking down the Ravens offseason moves, expectations on the field, and whether the Ravens are the clear-cut favourites to take the AFC North this season. If you wanted answers on the Ravens landscape, Jonas delivered. It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. After the break, Blue Jays insider Keegan Matheson joined the show! It's been a crazy, up-and-down season in Toronto, and Keegan broke down all the chaos—offering insight into whether the Jays will be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline, where John Schneider's job security stands, and what's behind Vladdy's roller-coaster year on the diamond. We finished hour two with some Free Advice for Damon Bunting. The boys are always giving their best advice.

Mid-week vibes are high in the studio! The usual suspects—Dustin Nielson, Lt. Eric, and YouTube Trev—are back at the desk for a jam-packed Wednesday edition of The Nielson Show, streaming live on Edmonton Sports Talk! From breaking down a struggling ball club in Toronto to getting an inside look at an NFL contender and handing out some much-needed life advice, the boys have a loaded broadcast ready to go! We got into last night's storm, Dusty then laid out the show. We briefly discussed next week's draft, which is the on screen death's draft and then got into Morning Announcements for the Rundle Park Short Course to recap some of the sports action form last night. After the break, it was time for The Weekly Bugle presented by the Edmonton Elks. In this segment, the boys dove into the most anticipated game the Elks have had in over sever years. We finished hour one with some Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel. Why hasn't Connor Ingram signed anywhere yet and what's everyones thoughts on the Sportsnet & Prime partnership?!

He joined us from his backyard before shifting the conversation to the CFL. We discussed whether the Edmonton Elks should be considered Grey Cup favourites, and whether Cody Fajardo's strong play has earned him a spot in the MOP conversation. Naylor also highlighted the remarkable season Vernon Adams Jr. is having, pointing to some of the unique things he's doing on the field that we simply haven't seen before. In the final hour of The Nielson Show with Hernan Salas and Wil Fraser, the guys discuss the local festivals around Edmonton before diving into some Blue Jays talk. After the break we got Beer Of The Week for Sobey's Safeway Liquor! Then it's the Wrap for William Huff to end off the show!

Can the Jays sneak into the playoffs?

The guys discuss Benny living at the studio and his 375 NHL 26 win streak before getting into the Morning Announcements for Rundle Park! After that, the guys talk about the Elks taking on the Lions tonight! What's the attendance like tonight? Then to end the hour, the boys got The Crack Pack for Wayne's Sports Cards!

Jamie Thomas was the first guest on today's show. He caught up with the boys as it's been a hot minute, especially with Wil Fraser. Once all caught up, they got right into the Jets talk. His thoughts on the Perfetti extension, what to expect for their top end prospect they drafted in this year's draft Viggo Björck and what the heck is going to happen with Connor Hellebuyck?! JT had all the answers. It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. After the break, we got into everyone's beefs from the week! Wil's beefing with Edmonton drivers, Dusty's beefing with fondue and YouTube Trev is beefing with his haircut… which apparently isn't that bad. Like always, Reid Wilkins capped off hour two with his beef, some soccer talk and finished with his thoughts on the Elks game tomorrow night. Do the Elks finally have the answer for Nathan Rourke?
