Hey everybody, I'm Dave Rubin and this is First Look. It's Monday, July 27, 2026. We've got a packed show for you today. Bombshell memo shows the Biden White House planned to leave President Trump with an even bigger immigration crisis than the one he inherited. Transgender dolls with interchangeable genitalia are headed to classrooms this fall for kids as young and movie fans are going to extraordinary lengths, driving hundreds of miles and waking up at 3am just to see Christopher Nolan's the Odyssey in true IMAX 70 millimeter. Let's dive in the Biden administration's last ditch attempt to sabotage Trump's immigration agenda A newly uncovered Biden White House memo from the administration's final days reveals a calculated plan that could have expanded Temporary protected status and TPS to more than 3 million non citizens. The goal was create a massive legal shield against the mass deportations President Trump promised and the American people voted for. Is supposed to be temporary relief for foreign populations facing real crises like political unrest or natural disasters. President Trump has tried to end these so called temporary protections for Haitians, Nepalese, Salvadorans and Sudanese. Lawsuits from pro migrant advocates have blocked most of those efforts. Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri obtained the memo and told Fox News Digital on Friday, my investigation uncovered that the lame duck Biden White House tried to keep millions of illegal aliens in our country by abusing the Temporary Protected Status program. After the American people voted for President Trump's promise to end the TPS scam, the Biden administration tried to subvert the will of the American people. This was mass amnesty by decree. America is for Americans and it is our home. It is not a permanent refugee camp. The memo itself is blunt. It argued that granting TPS will potentially protect many vulnerable people from President Elect Trump's planned mass deportations. They argue that these protections are likely to hold in court and they are prepared to litigate efforts to terminate or slow down down the implementation of TPS for specified nations by the Trump administration. It even admitted that earlier federal litigation during Trump's first term succeeded in halting terminations largely because the administration failed to build a strong factual record. The memo suggested that problem could be rectified. Schmidt got the document from Archivist of the United States Edward Forster through his authority as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution. He put it plainly, Biden tried to turn TPS into a 3.1 million person deportation shield, protect trende Aragua members and trap President Trump in years of litigation. He called it a direct betrayal of the will of the people who threw liberal Democrats out of power. The most disturbing detail. Biden's senior advisers recommended creating 2.1 million new TPS designees in the last few weeks of his presidency, even while admitting TTPs applications take six months. Luckily, that never happened and we have been deporting Ecuadorians and Guatemalans, schmidt said. One week after the January 2025 memo, which was erroneously dated 2024, Biden still extended TPS protections for nearly 1 million non citizens, so the document produced concrete mass migration action. A chart inside the memo estimated potential new eligibility for roughly 1.5 million Guatemalans, 600,000 Ecuadorians, 464,000 Nicaraguans, 455,000 Venezuelans, plus smaller groups from Ukraine, Sudan and Afghanistan. More than 3.1 million people total. The memo also noted that Biden's senior team had received requests for new TPS actions from a who's who of Senate Democrats Michael Bennett, Catherine Cortez Masto, Cory Booker, Richard Durbin, Maisie Hirono, Ben Ray Lujan, Tammy Duckworth and Alex Padilla. The full proposals were never implemented, but this memo gives us a rare look at exactly how Biden's team tried to handcuff the incoming president. Schmidt reminded the Senate floor that America should not be a get rich quick scheme for the Third World and that no American would tolerate squatters on their own property. Transgender dolls with removable genitals are coming to classrooms for 4 year olds first of their kind Transgender dolls complete with removable genitalia will debut in some Minnesota classrooms this fall for children as young as four years old. These are paper dolls with gender neutral names like Sam, Rory, Avery and Parker. They come with removable internal and external genitals, plus more than 100 interchangeable pieces of clothing, accessories and hairstyles. Think of it as a trans Mr. And Mrs. Potato Head. The stated goal, according to a therapist at the University of Minnesota Medical School, is for kids to learn about the different options and that exist for who they can be. The project was developed over more than half a decade and funded under left wing Minnesota governor Tim Walls. Researchers at the medical school's Institute for Sexual and Gender Health paid trans and gender diverse children and their parents between $20 and $60 to play with the dolls and talk about gender and bodies in groups. Prototypes were shown at a 2024 conference. One named Sam appears in what looks like a mid transition stage, with a detachable penis off to the side and a dress and girl's underwear within reach. The dolls, which the creators say will make gender fun, will be made available to teachers, school counselors, pediatricians and mental health providers through the commercial company Mygender Dolls. The website shows a boy doll wearing a dress and others in various states of sexual identity confusion. It is not clear whether parents or children can order them, or whether parents will even be allowed to opt their kids out of this therapeutic play. Two licensed psychologists who are professors at the medical school spun the university research project into the commercial venture. The University of Minnesota Medical School receives $15 million in annual state funding from Walls, money earmarked to increase the medical school's research capacity. The Institute for Sexual and Gender health has a $1.4 million research budget. The school refuses to say how much taxpayer money went into developing these dolls or paying the professors involved. Walls, who has pushed aggressive pro transgender policies, received the institute's inaugural Distinguished Sexual and Gender Health champion award in 2023, a title created just for him. He was photographed alongside medical school associate professor Nick Ryder, co founder of My Gender Dolls. Ryder uses they them pronouns and specializes in children and teen transgender health. The other co founder, Associate Professor Diane Berg, a member of the association for the Treatment of Sex Abusers, once boasted in a since deleted university article, everyone should be learning that there's diversity in gender identity and that what makes you real is not what your body parts are, but how you think and feel. She admitted using the dolls with her own patients between ages 5 and 10. Another therapist from the school, adjunct Assistant Professor Elizabeth Panetta, said they use the dolls to explore not just what our bodies are able to do now, but what we want our bodies to do and look like in the future. Critics are not mincing words. Dr. Quinton Van Meter, past president of the American College of Pediatricians, called it grooming. They will find anybody who's in trouble and use this as a tool to say this is why you're unhappy. This is absolutely grooming the younger kids. Many of them still believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy and you're then presenting them with paper dolls that kind of look fun and you can change clothing, hair, genitals. It's well beyond their ability to sort out fantasy from reality. It's profoundly inappropriate. A university spokesperson claimed no public funds supported the commercialization. When pressed on research and development spending and professors salaries, they told reporters to file a freedom of Information request. Walls office did not respond. Remember, this is the same Tim Walls that Democrats wanted as Vice President of the United States. This is not education. This is ideological grooming of the youngest, most vulnerable children paid for by taxpayers, pushed by the same people who lose elections and then double down on the culture war. Fans are going to extraordinary lengths for Christopher Nolan's the Odyssey in true IMAX 70 millimeter for Mike Rolfing to see the Odyssey this week, the 39 year old marketer from St. Louis embarked on a hero's journey of his own. He packed his wife and three kids into the minivan and drove approximately 900 miles round trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan, one of the few theaters offering IMAX 70 millimeter screenings of Christopher Nolan's adaptation of the epic poem. It's an incredible format, rolfing told cnbc. It was definitely worth it to me to travel such a long distance. He is not alone. A list names like Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are in the cast, but the real star is the large scale analog experience that Nolan and his fans love. Exclusive data shared with CNBC shows how dramatically the film has boosted demand for these higher priced premium large format screenings. An adult IMAX 70mm ticket averaged $27.77 on opening weekend, 81% more expensive than a standard ticket, imax CEO Richard Gelfand said on a conference call Thursday. IMAX 70mm film has become among the hottest tickets in the world. Fans are flying across countries, if not continents to experience The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm. Average 70mm screens hauled in a massive $153,000 one over opening weekend. The 70 millimeter run will continue for months. The problem is supply. Only a small fraction of IMAX theaters can handle the gigantic rolls of 70 millimeter film. IMAX lists just 25 theaters in the United States and 16 internationally showing the Odyssey. This way we could have more of them and we're exploring ways to do that, but in a way it's like a Rolls Royce, gelfand said. There are a finite number of locations that really can support the economics of it. This is also the first feature film shot entirely with IMAX 70mm cameras. Other directors have used the format for select action scenes. Even with limited screens, demand is explosive. Cinemark reported exceptionally strong interest in Colorado and Texas. Regal said it became the chain's top IMAX 70mm title. The Indiana State Museum Theater, the only one in the state, added an extra week in August due to historic demand. More than half the audience in the first days traveled at least 50 miles. The theater welcomed visitors from more than 20 states and fielded ticket requests from as far as Switzerland, manager Neil Johangen said simply, demand's never been higher. It's awesome. Getting a ticket has become its own ordeal. Theaters are running screenings around the clock, including early morning shows that still sell out. Some put tickets on sale a year in advance. Morgan Bernados, a 27 year old from the San Francisco Bay Area, couldn't get through the digital queue for her local theater. She switched to a screen 90 minutes away and finally scored Monday night tickets. It felt like buying concert tickets, she said, comparing it to the Taylor Swift eras tour frenzy. There definitely is a FOMO element. Ashton Jones in Georgia only managed seats for a 3am showing, the sole 70 millimeter theater in the state. He downed a Red Bull at the halfway mark of the nearly three hour film, drove an hour home and went straight to work. It was fun, he said. But I was hurting the next day. This is what happens when Hollywood actually delivers excellence instead of lectures. People will drive all night and cross state lines for it. And that's your first look this Monday. Quick recap.
