Wayfair Every style, every home. We have some important developments this evening that you need to be aware of. From today, Donald Trump is demanding that every single president and vice presidential candidate before they enter the race, take a cognitive exam. At the same time, Democrats are pledging to redistrict in states like New York, Colorado, Maryland and Illinois in response to the Voting Rights act decision from the Supreme Court that completed completely gutted Section two of the Voting Rights act in a major blow to black majority districts across the country. And today, Governor Landry from Louisiana announced that the primary election, which had already begun for many congressional seats in Louisiana, well, it's been officially, quote, suspended. Never before in modern history has a governor suspended an election for political reasons to make sure that Republicans pick up even more seats in the House of Representatives. It comes as we have new Epstein developments, including a suicide note that Jeffrey Epstein allegedly wrote and is currently under lock and key. Another person has taken their life and another person who is connected to all of Epstein's stuff. We're going to talk about that. Pete Hexseth was grilled on Capitol Hill today and even Republicans are no longer buying the Trump administration's argument on gas. This evening update is a bit of a kind of all over the place update. Truthfully, there isn't one major headline, but rather a lot of smaller headlines that you need to be aware of. I do want to say thank you to each and every one of you for supporting my work, to those who have subscribed to support my work, who have helped me build something different, something better. I don't know, I say it often, but I truly cannot thank you guys enough. And we have some big news coming soon, so stay tuned on that. And yeah, like comment, share, get the word out and if you can, please subscribe. It really does mean the world. This afternoon, Donald Trump is demanding that anybody running for president or vice president should be forced to take a cognitive examination prior to entering the race by doing so, we wouldn't be surprised that people like Barack Hussein Obama or sleepy Joe Biden getting elected, seemingly questioning the election of Obama now, not just the election of Joe Biden, our country would be in a much better place. I took the exam three times during my, quote, three terms as president. If he had really had three terms as president, he would be completely termed out, by the way, and aced it all three times, an achievement that even on a single exam, according to doctors, has rarely been done before. And it comes as Democrats today say, you know what? It's time to fight fire with fire. It's time to fight back. If Republicans are going to completely eliminate black majority districts across the country following the Supreme Court decision in Colias, the Voting Rights act decision from earlier this week, then you know what we're going to do? We're going to do redistricting in New York. We're going to do redistricting in Illinois. We're going to do redistricting in Maryland and in Colorado. And we're going to do it all before the 2028 election. Just because the census happens every 10 years doesn't mean we have to wait for that. And while Trump is responding to Hakeem Jeffries making that claim, saying Hakeem Jeffries just called the Supreme Court of the United States an illegitimate court. This is a low IQ individual, he says, who should not be allowed to talk that way about one of the greatest institutions, institutions anywhere in the world. He should withdraw the statement immediately. This is coming from the same man, Donald Trump, who has repeatedly attacked the United States Supreme Court. And it comes on the same day that we're getting new Epstein developments. The New York Times is now reporting that there is allegedly a suicide note that was found in Epstein's cell. A suicide note that is currently under lock and key in a New York City courthouse, has been for many years now, was never reviewed by the inspector general of the Department of Justice, who conducted a review of the circumstances surrounding Epstein's death. And we're also learning this evening, according to Julie K. Brown, the son of a Norwegian diplomat who is under investigation for financial crimes related to Epstein has taken his own life. According to various Norwegian reports, the diplomat Turge Rod Larson and his wife, Mona Jewell, a former ambassador, are both under investigation for possible corruption. So some more news on that front today on Capitol Hill, Pete Hegseth testified. And there was a key moment that I want you to be aware of. Take a listen to this moment and

I'll explain why on Iran, ultimately I would I would defer to the White House and White House counsel on that. However, we are in a cease fire right now, which our understanding means the 60 day clock pauses or stops in a ceasefire. So they're not in. That's, it's our understanding, just so you know.
Interviewer
Okay.
Legal Expert
Well, I do not believe the statute would support that. I think the 60 days runs maybe tomorrow, and it's going to pose a really important legal question for the administration there. We have serious constitutional concerns and we don't want to layer those with additional statutory concerns.
Political Analyst
I yield back.
Legal Expert
Mr.
Political Commentator
So what they're talking about is this 60 day clock from the initiation of military action that the Trump administration has to now go to Congress to get further approval for to continue that military action. Essentially, Hexseth is claiming that, well, we're in a ceasefire and as a result, military action, the 60 day clock isn't running. I would argue, however, that a naval blockade is an act of war, is not part of a ceasefire. And so even if you took that argument at its face value, which legally is dubious, still has some issues with it. And it comes as Trump's war in Iran is now more unpopular than the Korean War, than the Vietnam War, the war in Afghanistan, and the war in Iraq, and it's causing gas prices to soar to their highest point in over four years. And even Republicans aren't really buying the administration's argument on gas prices anymore.
Interviewer
Markets aren't friendly to the GOP's chances for holding the House. I mean, even the Senate is somewhat closer. I don't know if you put any stock in that, but there were some developments this week. No, it seems like negative developments in Virginia, I think, for, for Democrats, positive developments for Republicans in Texas, something happening in Florida. Now, what is your, do you think there's any way that your party holds on in November to the House?
Political Analyst
Absolutely. And look, it's a path that is focused on turnout, number one and delivery. What we've delivered to finally start turning this mess around that we inherited a year and a half ago. People will remember, you go back two years ago, we were paying almost $6 a gallon for gasoline. Right now it's in the threes. Obviously, we've seen a jump with the Iran conflict.
Interviewer
When were we paying 6 still 52
Political Analyst
and a half years ago, I think we were.
Interviewer
But if you look at, I wasn't
Political Analyst
the average look at where we are now. We're, we were over 30% below where we were just two years ago. Today, we are 30% below where we were two years ago. It's still going to go lower when Iran gets resolved in the Strait of Hormuz gets open. But at the same time, did anybody want a nuclear armed Iran? I think if you ask most normal people, they would say absolutely not. When they just slaughtered 30,000 of their own people. They were about to get a nuclear weapon and President Trump stopped that. But that's going to get resolved. President Trump's negotiating that right now. He's negotiated a number of peace deals. They're trying to get a resolution between Russia and Ukraine right now, too. So if you look all across the board, we are lowering inflation. Interest rates have started to come down. They're not where we want to be, by the way. We have a lot of work to do. But do you want to go back to the days where interest rates were in double digits, where inflation was 50% higher than it was today? So we're bringing things down so that we can make life more affordable, but we have more work to do and that's why we're going to hold.
Interviewer
The majority must have been on vacation in California, I think, I think two years ago in April of 2024, we were at about 365. So we're actually above where we were then. And I'm not.
Political Analyst
No, we were, we were well into the fives under Biden. Well into the, at one point, not
Interviewer
two years ago, we were shut down.
Political Analyst
Energy in the Gulf of America was shut down. Alaska was shut down. We opened that up, by the way, in the working families tax. Two years ago, the average was production.
Interviewer
Now exactly two years ago, the average was 365 to 367. I'm not saying that the $4 or whatever it is now that the just
