Very busy. Update this morning we have a lot of public health related information from a growing Ebola outbreak that the United States is now taking action regarding to the banning limitations on forever chemicals and drinking water to cyanide bombs used to kill wildlife. All while we have this fund, this $1.8 billion fund that the Trump Justice Department is establishing to give payouts to January six defendants and other allies of the President's. Attorney General Todd Blanche is facing scrutiny today. Even one top Treasury Department lawyer has now resigned following the creation of such a fund. So lots to cover. Make sure to like comment, share so people see this. And if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work, I do have one quick note. If there's ever any issue with any reporting I've ever done, just email me directly, please. I want to respond, I want to communicate with you all. I respond to every message, especially those from paid subscribers because I think it's important to build community. So if you can subscribe, gift a subscription, upgrade a subscription, I ask a lot, but I have to because we're not funded by billionaires or big corporations. And this afternoon I'm going to be speaking with Governor Mikey Sherrill from New Jersey, Governor Gavin Newsom from California. So lots of stuff happening right now. And if you think, by the way, if you want me to interview an Ebola doctor, someone who has studied Ebola, let me know because I think there's a lot of questions and concerns regarding the Ebola outbreak which we're going to talk about momentarily. So as you know that there are multiple public health crises on several fronts right now. The Ebola outbreak, as you may know, has now been declared a global health emergency by the WHO this morning, according to BBC reporting. It's actually spreading faster than we previously thought. People living close to the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak has now, which has killed 131 people, have told BBC of their fear. The World Health Organization warned cases may be spreading faster than originally thought. One man in the Democratic Republic of Congo's Ituri province says infected people were, quote, dying very fast, adding Ebola has, quote, tortured us. As of this post, 513 cases were suspected in the Dr. Congo. One person has died in the neighboring Uganda. The agency is actively investigating the outbreak. They're theoretically based on modeling. Could be thousands of cases right now given the fact that we just don't know how fast it has spread and the fact that we just learned about it after weeks of spread. Already, public health experts in the United States of America are growing increasingly concerned, especially ahead of the World cup next month. The soccer team from the Democratic Republic of Congo will be housed in Houston along with their fans and staff. And public health officials are preparing for possible Ebola here in the United States of America if someone were to bring it in by flying in. But American police and American authorities were are increasing screening for Ebola upon entering the country. So we'll see what happens there. But ultimately the concern grows from the fact that RFK Jr. And Donald Trump, they have essentially gutted the public health apparatus that dealt with Ebola. USAID was a primary tool used to fight back against Ebola and now it's been completely gutted. But that's not the only public health issue right now. In addition, we're learning today and over the past 24 hours that the Trump administration is moving to kill Biden era drinking water. Limits on four PFAS forever chemicals and to delay the implementation of standards for other compounds. The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing separate rules to delay and rescind the limits. The rules must go through an approval process that can take several years. But essentially, the Biden administration previously imposed limitations on how many of these forever chemicals can appear in drinking water in the United States of America. Now they say the Trump administration wants to roll it back to make America healthy again. PFAS forever chemicals are a class of at least 16,000 compounds most frequently used to make products water stain or grease resistance. They've been linked to cancer, birth defects, decreased immunity, high cholesterol, kidney disease and a whole host of other issues. But that's not the only public health crisis that people are talking about. The Trump administration is also rolling back quietly bans on the use of cyanide bombs to kill wildlife on public lands. The Trump administration has renewed use of the M44 cyanide bombs on lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The action, carried out discreetly and quietly, was outrageous to those who know what it does to animals. The M44 is an ultra deadly spring loaded cylinder trap that uses a scented beta tract and to entice its victim to bite or tug at its head. Once triggered, the M44 shoots a pellet of sodium cyanide into the animal's mouth, causing terror, pain, distress, suffering, injury and death. But the issue is, is that this can also be used to kill accidentally species that are endangered, for example, that may approach the cyanide device and accidentally take it. So it's a very serious situation. It's been rolled back. Another news the Trump Justice Department is facing new questions about this fund that it's establishing for Trump's allies. Overnight, the top lawyer at the Treasury Department stepped down in the wake of the creation of the anti Weaponization fund. Brian Morrissey, the general counsel for the Treasury Department, resigned just seven months into his job after he was confirmed just hours after the Trump administration announced the fund. So Brian Morrissey is out of his job now. He says he was grateful to work for Trump and Besson, but it happened so close in time that it happened right after the $1.776 billion fund was announced. And the Treasury Department and this lawyer would have been responsible for managing and depositing the funds for the account. And Todd Blanche today is facing scrutiny on Capitol Hill as he testifies to get more money for the Justice Department. About this fund.

Attorney General is supposed to be the people's lawyer and defend the rule of law and not act as the president's personal lawyer. But in this administration, the Department of Justice is solely focused on pleasing one man, no matter the cost. Lest anyone forget, huge banners with Donald Trump's face hang from both sides of the main justice building. This is the big banner of Donald Trump on one side of it, so that every single person who enters that building will see it and remember exactly what that man wants them to do. You're his former personal attorney and you know exactly what he wants. In fact, he often posts it right here on social media, his truth Social account. He wants to weaponize the department for his own political ends. And right from the start, you and your cohorts have worked to deliver what he wants doing his political dirty work. Two days ago, you even suggested that there was, quote, a ton of evidence that the 2020 election was rigged against Trump. And here you are at a budget hearing asking for taxpayer funds to pursue the department's mission when you're using those funds to punish Trump's adversaries, reward his friends, and pursue his personal vendettas.
