We have some news. This evening, Donald Trump is declaring victory in Iran again for what appears to be the fifth or sixth time that he has claimed the United States has won. He seems to be looking for an off ramp again by claiming that he is looking into ways to reduce United States military involvement in the region. But at the same time, the United States is sending thousands of Marines to the region and there are reports that boots on the ground are actually coming sooner than you think. At the same time, Elon Musk has been found liable for defrauding investors of Tesla prior to the 2022 buyout of the company in an effort to try to make the company less valuable prior to his purchase, Switzerland has banned all arms sale to the United States. And Donald Trump is praising none other than Brendan Carr, the man who is responsible for approving the massive nexstar Tegna merger that has fundamentally altered media as we know it. Because right now, if you missed it, nexstar came out following the merger, praised Donald Trump, praised the Trump administration and said that it will be the purveyor of anti fake news. Folks, this is the consolidation and monopolization of media in real time. We are seeing it happen right now in this moment. Independent media that doesn't sell to billionaires has never been so important. So make sure to subscribe to my substack, click the link below and like comment share to spread the word because it's important that people know what's happening right now. This afternoon, a grand jury, or rather a jury of Elon Musk's peers, has found that Elon Musk defrauded Twitter investors in his $44 billion buyout of the social media platform in 2022. A San Francisco jury deliberated for four days before unanimously finding for the lead plaintiffs Steve Garrett, Nancy Price, John Garrett and Brian Belgrave, all of whom sued Musk back in October of 2022 nearly four years ago, alleging that they suffered major losses when Elon Musk deliberately made false and misleading statements about the presence of spam bot accounts on Twitter. All done in an effort to drive down the company's stock price with the hopes that Elon Musk would be able to back out of the acquisition of Twitter or renegotiate a deal that was more favorable to him. Specifically, Musk said on May 13, 2022 that the Twitter deal was on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam and fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5 hours 5% of users. Musk followed up with another tweet saying that he was still committed to the acquisition, but Twitter ultimately sold to Musk at $54.20 per share, only closing after the company sued Musk to force the deal to go through. This did not discuss damages, although significant damages will likely be owed to these plaintiffs. A Bad afternoon for Musk at the same time the President of the United States, Donald Trump seemingly is trying to wave the white flag looking for an off ramp in Iran. Or so he claims. He says we're getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great military efforts in the Middle east with respect to the terrorist regime of Iran. First, he listed out five objectives. First, completely degrading Iranian missile capability, launchers and everything else pertaining to them. Second, destroying Iran's defense industrial base. Third, eliminating their navy and air force, including all anti aircraft weaponry. Fourth, never allowing Iran to get even close to nuclear capability and always being in a position where the USA can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation should it take place. And fifth, protecting our Middle Eastern allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the uae, Bahrain, Kuwait and others. He went on to talk about the Hormuz Strait, saying that it will have to be guarded by any other nation who chooses to use it, the United States does not use it, according to him, and that the United States will help should they need it. Now, it very differs, I often say watch what he says, or rather watch what he does, not what he says because he put this out on Truth Social and then he proceeded to say this when leaving the White House this afternoon.
D
Opening straight up for Moses is a simple military maneuver. Very simple. Yeah, but what did you mean by that? It's a simple military maneuver, it's relatively safe, but you need a lot of help in the sense of you need ships, you need volume. And NATO could help us, but they so far haven't had the courage to do so. And others could help us, but you know, we don't use it. You know, at a certain point it'll open itself at a certain point. But we've defeated the enemy and they are an enemy. There is sick group of people. The leadership is gone. The navy is gone. The Air force is gone. The anti aircraft equipment that they have, the radar they have is all gone. Everything's gone. The strait itself, the actual strait, how are you? The strait itself is. We're doing a good job. But it would be nice if the countries, including China, if the countries that use it, China uses it 90% of their energy. Japan is 95% of the energy. It would be nice if those countries would get involved.
C
He then followed up with this remark.
D
What did you mean by that? He said the war was militarily won in Iran. What did you mean by that? Oh, I think we've won. We've knocked out their navy, their air force, we've knocked out their anti aircraft, we've knocked out everything. We're roaming free. From a military standpoint, all they're doing is clogging up the strait. But from a military, military standpoint, they're finished.
C
We won. We won. Watch what he does, not what he says, because at the same time he's claiming victory and looking for that. Off ramp online. Several options currently under discussion to deploy ground troops into Iran, including deploying troops to Iranian ports or small islands in the Persian Gulf in an effort to mitigate the threat to vessels. Other options include the operation to retrieve Iran's highly enriched uranium or using troops to seize Iranian oil facilities to cut off a key financial lifeline and to attempt to extract concessions from the regime. The scale and duration of any deployment of US troops inside of Iran would depend on the type of operation. And it could range from hundreds of specialized forces operating on the ground for a number of hours, similar to the operation employed by forces in the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. And I spoke at the beginning about this next Tartegna merger and really the monopolization, the consolidation of media right before our eyes. Here's what the President had to say this evening regarding FCC Chairman Brendan Carr.
E
I also want to thank FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, perhaps the most powerful man in this room. You are doing some job. He's trying to keep the fake news. He's trying to make the fake news real and respect it again, which is not an easy job. But you're doing a really amazing job. First time that's happened in 25 years. So I congratulate you and everybody in the room, everybody in this whole country is watching what you're doing, and we appreciate it.
C
Everyone is watching what he's doing. We're watching the fact that he's actively consolidating the media under this pro Trump, pro White House umbrella. And right now, more than ever, we need independent media that will stand up, that will fight back, that will pursue the truth no matter what. And I'm telling you I will.
