My name is Mackenzie and I started a GoFundMe for the adoptive mother of a nonverbal autistic child. The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic child. So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills. So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis. And we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months. I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being very clear about what we needed, we had some really generous donations from people who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with.

GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform trusted by over 200 million people. Start. Start your GoFundMe today at gofundme.com that's gofundme.com gofundme.com this podcast is supported by GoFundMe. We have significant developments this evening. FBI Director Cash Patel. This may be the straw that breaks the camel's back because, folks, he spent thousands of dollars of United States taxpayer dollars, of your taxpayer dollars on a trip to Italy for the Winter Olympics. And tonight he was caught on video celebrating with US Olympians. Drinking, downing beer, partying. All while the FBI faces multiple critical investigations. From the Savannah Guthrie investigation regarding her mother to a Secret Service investigation into a possible attempt on the President's own life. And now this evening, FBI Director Kash Patel is facing resignation calls from folks across the political spectrum because of this latest video. I'm going to show you the video shortly, but before I do, make sure to like, comment, share and subscribe. The more you like, the more people see this. Subscribe to my substack, click the link below to support my work. Let me show you what Cash Patel was doing today after the US Olympian team, the hockey team, beat the Canadians. That is FBI Director Cash Patel for you. That is FBI Director Cash Pato. And while tonight he's facing critical resignation calls, he's facing a lot of pressure for using taxpayer dollars to go on this little trip. He's been criticized for blurring the lines between personal recreation and professional work, repeated repeatedly. And tonight, tonight is no different because imagine if any other FBI director, imagine if President Biden's FBI director was in Milan, Italy on taxpayer dime partying like that. The outrage would be crazy. As you can see, the video of a euphoric Patel, a devoted hockey fan who plays a sport himself, was posted on social media. Giving he was giving signs. He was cheering folks on, he was celebrating. But he was also drinking beer. And it's caused an embarrassment for the FBI. His trip to Italy came at a fraught and frenetic time for the Bureau and for Mr. Patel, who has shown little willingness or even conceal his jet setting. Trump and his advisors have been discussing preparations for an attack on Iran, a decision that could lead to threats to the homeland. Bureau investigators are still landing a hand in the urgent search of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of today's show anchor Savannah Guthrie. On Sunday, the Secret Service said law enforcement officers killed a would be intruder at Mar a Lago. The FBI is expected to play a role in the subsequent investigation. Now his own aides have downplayed the fun and games aspect of his visit to Italy. They said that it was a coincidence that the Games overlapped with security consultations he had planned months ago with European counterparts. The core purposes of the trip, according to a spokesperson, were to meet with Italian law enforcement officials and with the US ambassador to Italy and to oversee the FBI's involvement in Olympic security. Participated in all six meetings, but also had time to party. Mr. Patel is able to keep abreast of developments in Iran and other matters wherever he travels. But the optics of the trip could add fuel to critics already at odds with his leadership both inside and outside the Trump administration because he is facing increased skeptical rank and file at the bureau. Now, we don't know exactly how much this trip costs, Some estimates over $70,000 of your money to fly in because remember, directors must fly on government aircraft. So he has to have a private jet take him from the United States of America to Italy. Now, this isn't the first time he's under fire for using taxpayer dollars. Remember, he used a personal SWAT team for the protection of his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, a country singer and a right wing activist, as well as he has used taxpayer dollars for heavy use of federal resources for travel. That has appeared to blur professional lines. And well, it comes at a time where folks are asking, we need real, real leadership in this country. We need something different. Governor Newsom right now is on his book tour trying to do something different. He's going to run for president probably. But I want you to take a listen to this clip from Newsom. He's at a book tour stop in Atlanta today. Take a listen to what he had

to say on why crowds were. You know those crowds that show up for. Bernie understands this. You know, 10% of people, only 2/3 the wealth in this country. A 30 year old is doing worse than his parents. For the first time in American history that's happened on our watch. Society becomes how we behave. For things to change, we need to change. That's the approach. That's the mindset we've tried to take approach, the mindset we need to take through 2026. 2028 is interesting. 2026 is the whole game. It's the entire. Nothing else matters.

It doesn't matter.
Political Commentator
It just doesn't. We'll lose this republic. Trump's not screwing around. I was kind of screwing around with you a little bit. On but Putin. Trump believes in competitive authoritarianism. So does Putin. Putin got 87.3% by the way.

It's true. They love elections. They just wire the elections. That's exactly what Trump will do unless we take back the House of Representatives. He is not sure what we gotta do. Right.
Narrator/Host
So, I mean, I think it's a pretty interesting statement from the governor who, look, obviously is running for president of the United States. I personally don't have a stake in terms of who's going to win in 2028. I don't know. And honestly at this point right now, today, I could personally care less because there are elections coming up in November of this year that to me are more important than an election three years down the line. I could be wrong, you could disagree with me, but that's kind of where my head's at right now. But what the governor kind of said is something interesting to me, and it's that really the United States of America is lacking real leadership, right? Real leadership at home, lacking real leadership abroad. And it's time for something different. It's time for something different in the country. And I think that's a sentiment based on all public polling we've seen recently, that the majority of Americans agree with. They want something different. They don't want this constant chaos. They don't want this constant what the hell is going to happen next? What is the president going to say next? Are we bombing this country? Are we going after that country? And, well, you're going to start seeing more people over the course of the next many months, many years, from Newsom to folks like AOC to folks like potentially Josh Shapiro, JB Pritzker, Bashir. I mean, you name it, they'll be on the campaign trail offering their new vision. And I'm going to interview all of them. So get ready. Make sure to, like, comment, share and subscribe. Subscribe to my subset. Click the link below to support my work or send a Venmo to Aaron Parnas to buy me a coffee. Because this week, folks, it's going to be hell on earth, to say the least. We got multiple State of the Union addresses that I'm going to cover live for you, and much more. If anything, I'd rather be Cash Patel right now partying in Milan, Italy. But not everyone can be an FBI director traveling on tax paradigms. Have a good night.
