My name is Mackenzie and I started a GoFundMe for the adoptive mother of a non verbal autistic child. The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic child. So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills. So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis and we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months. I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being very clear about what we needed, we had some really generous donations from people who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with.

We have some news. Right now, the President of the United States has a problem. He claimed that the United States has won the war in Iran. And the problem is overnight, the Iranian military struck several commercial ships in the Gulf, struck multiple ports in Oman and elsewhere. And while the American people are spending billions of dollars footing the bill for a war that is ongoing, world leaders don't know what the end game is. A major Iranian hack occurred in the United States of America. And at the end of the day, the President may call what we're going through an excursion. But as I said last night, an excursion is something you do on a cruise ship. War is not an excursion. There are significant developments this morning that really put into doubt the where this war is heading and the viewpoints of some on the right regarding the war. Right now, I want to begin by showing you something significant. After a video call with heads of state for all members of the G7, French President Emmanuel Macron declared publicly what others have said privately. No one can tell what US President Donald J. Trump wants from this ongoing war. Israeli officials tell Axios their impression is that Trump is not planning to end the war in the next two to three weeks, but are Accounting for the possibility, he makes an abrupt decision if he concludes his objectives have been met. Both Trump and Netanyahu had hoped that the opening strike would rapidly destabilize the regime in Tehran. However, 13 days later, both understand that has not happened, and they still hope that cracks would begin to widen within the Iranian government. But a new report from Reuters says quite the opposite. A new report from Reuters confirms that Iranian leadership is largely intact outside of the killing of an 86 year old Ayatollah. Most of Iranian leadership, specifically the religious leaders, the clerics in Iran, have largely remained both alive and coordinated. And so today, you're going to have the new ayatollah come out and give his first public address. A new ayatollah who is more focused on building a nuclear weapon than his father was. A new ayatollah whose family was just killed in those airstrikes on his father, and a new ayatollah who is more hardline than his father was. And while Donald Trump claims that the United States has won this war, this is the messaging coming out of the Iranian government today. Trump has said we can take apart Iran's electrical capacity with one hour, but we have not done it well, if they do that, the whole region will go dark in less than half an hour. And darkness provides ample opportunity to hunt down US Service members running for safety and well. It also comes as you have scenes like this coming from Oman overnight. Commercial oil tankers on fire. You also have ports on fire as Iranian strikes continue. The war has not been won by the United States. It's actually far from over. Now, Trump made this claim about it being an excursion in history.
Donald Trump
And that number is going to be when you see the numbers by the end of the year. We did an excursion. You know what an excursion is? We had to take a little trip to get rid of some evil, very evil people. It should have been done. For 47 years, they've been killing our people.
Political News Commentator
Now he calls it an excursion. But last night I went on CNN and I made clear that this is not an excursion. Again, that will convince voters, No, I don't think so.
Political Analyst
I mean, I think the issue the president has is he says it's an excursion on one hand. One excursion to me is something you do on a cruise ship and then a war on another hand, which if you go by the Constitution, you have to get congressional approval for. He's done neither of those things. He doesn't have an accurate message. The White House press secretary says she's not ruling out a military Draft for people. I mean, when they say these things,
Political News Commentator
whether or not they're true or not,
Political Analyst
at the end of the day, the average American voter cares about whether they can afford gas tomorrow, whether they can afford to get groceries for their families. The longer they spend talking about what's happening overseas, you're going to, most Americans will just tune it out and will just not trust what the administration is saying.
Political News Commentator
And that's a big problem for the administration, is that right now, when you're spending $11 billion overseas on this war here at home, the American people continue to struggle.
Mackenzie
I'd figure 11, at least $11 billion in the first six days. And by the way, we're on day 12 of the conflict. How is that going to set with American voters?
Political News Commentator
I don't think the American voters are
Political Analyst
going to be too happy about it. I mean, Trump administration has a responsibility to prosecute this war to explain why they're putting Americans and American troops in danger in the Middle east and spending billions of taxpayer dollars doing so. And they haven't done it. Donald Trump himself hasn't explained why he's doing this properly. He hasn't given a plan for the day after. And right now, Americans are worried about can they afford health care, can they afford groceries? And they see us spending billions and billions of dollars on defense spending overseas and they're like, well, give me some of that. So I don't think it's going to go well for him at the polls in November.
Political News Commentator
I mean, give me some of that. That is what the American people want. You can't spend $11 billion overseas and then claim we don't have enough money for health care, groceries, et cetera here at home. And it comes as Iran is only escalating. There is a significant Iranian linked hacker group that is now claiming responsibility for a cyber attack on a medical tech company in what appears to be the first significant instance of Iran's hacking an American company since the start of the war. The company, Stryker is headquartered in Michigan, produces a range of medical equipment and technology. And, well, this company was likely hacked because a Stryker employee who requested not to be identified because they are not authorized to speak for the company, said that the employees work issued phones stopped working, grinding work and communications with colleagues to a standstill. The Handala team, which is an Iranian linked hacker group, has claimed responsibility for the Stryker hack and statements on its Telegram and Twitter accounts. The group routinely brags about its exploits on social media which have in recent days taken down previous versions of their accounts, specifics of how the hack was conducted are not fully clear, but public evidence of the hack points to the likelihood that hackers gain access to the company's Microsoft Intune account, which the employee confirmed Stryker's uses. From there, Handala appears to have wiped some employees devices back to factory settings. Quote they seem to have obtained access to the Microsoft Intune Management Console, a solution for managing corporate devices. One of the features is the ability to remotely wipe a device if it's lost or stolen. They trigger that on some devices. So Iranian hackers are targeting American companies, Ships and ports are on fire in the Middle East. The war is far from over here at home Right now the United States Senate is considering a bill to reopen the Department of Homeland Security right now. It's unlikely to pass because there have been no reforms to ICE that have been made. FBI Director Kash Patel has confirmed to deadline that the United States FBI agents, newly trained FBI agents, will be training alongside UFC fighters today. Taxpayer dollars spent on coordination between UFC and FBI and well, there's more because this week and next week is pivotal for Donald Trump's marquee piece of legislation, the SAVE Act. Right now it doesn't have the votes to pass, needs 60 votes, doesn't have anywhere near that, not even all Republican support at Lisa Murkowski, Senator from Alaska doesn't support it. And so the SAVE act is likely to fail. A marquee piece of legislation for the administration set to fail. So lots of news right now. Let me know if you have any thoughts in the comments below. Episode: Breaking: Iran Escalates After Trump Declares Victory and America's Allies are Left Behind
Host: Aaron Parnas
Date: March 12, 2026
In this episode, Aaron Parnas and a panel of political analysts unpack the fast-evolving situation following President Donald Trump’s claim of victory in the Iran war—despite ongoing conflict and dramatic escalations by Iran, including military strikes and cyberattacks. The discussion highlights the perception gap between administration rhetoric and on-the-ground realities, the ramifications for U.S. allies and domestic politics, and Americans’ growing frustration with government spending priorities. The conversation combines insider observation, analysis of media reports, and pointed critique of the Trump administration’s strategy and messaging.
On Trump’s Framing of War:
“An excursion is something you do on a cruise ship. War is not an excursion.”
— Political News Commentator (01:52 & 05:11)
Trump’s Public Explanation:
"We did an excursion. You know what an excursion is? We had to take a little trip to get rid of some evil, very evil people. It should have been done. For 47 years, they've been killing our people."
— Donald Trump (04:45)
On Voter Priorities:
“At the end of the day, the average American voter cares about whether they can afford gas tomorrow, whether they can afford to get groceries for their families. The longer they spend talking about what's happening overseas, you're going to, most Americans will just tune it out and will just not trust what the administration is saying.”
— Political Analyst (05:33-05:49)
Sharp Critique of Spending:
“Give me some of that. That is what the American people want. You can't spend $11 billion overseas and then claim we don't have enough money for health care, groceries, et cetera here at home.”

On the Cyberattack:
"They seem to have obtained access to the Microsoft Intune Management Console...One of the features is the ability to remotely wipe a device if it's lost or stolen. They trigger that on some devices. So Iranian hackers are targeting American companies, Ships and ports are on fire in the Middle East. The war is far from over..."
— Political News Commentator (07:16-07:55)
This episode underscores the widening disconnect between the Trump administration's optimistic public statements on the Iran conflict and the rapidly worsening reality, both in the Middle East and at home. Analyst consensus is that Trump’s messaging is inconsistent and unconvincing, particularly as voters focus on domestic economic stress and increasingly question the logic and cost of foreign adventures. Meanwhile, cyber and kinetic attacks from Iran intensify, and legislative priorities at home stall, deepening both uncertainty and political risk heading into the next election.
