We have some big news this afternoon. Things are moving fast and the public's pressure campaign on members of Congress seems to be working a little bit. Democrats and Republicans are both coming out and condemning Donald Trump's remarks about wiping away an entire civilization, a war crime. Now, over 50 members of Congress have come out in support of removing the president from office, either via Impeachment Article 2, Section 4 of the United States Constitution, or via the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution, putting pressure on Trump's Cabinet, putting pressure on the vice president to remove the president from office. It comes as JD Vance is overseas with Viktor Orban campaigning for him. And while right now we are just hours away from Donald Trump's APM deadline, a deadline that looks all but likely to be missed because while there are still some negotiations going on here and there, not much is happening right now. I want to begin by going through the list of members of Congress that are calling for Donald Trump's removal or for his impeachment. Do you want to start out? Congressman Ro Khanna, who's a 2028 hopeful, made these remarks today. Take a listen.

United States Congress has any life left in it. Every member of Congress and Senator must be calling for Trump's removal today based on the 25th Amendment. He's threatening the entire destruction of a civilization. He is calling Iranians animals. He is showing a total disregard for the humanity of people in Iran, in Gaza, in Cuba. This is a moral crime. It is a war. CR we need to be demanding that Congress convene today and we need to be invoking the 25th Amendment.

Let's look at the lawmakers who have called on Trump to be removed. I will read you the list, Congresswoman AOC Diana degetti, Sydney Kamlogar, Dove Mark Pocan, Summer Lee, Delia Ramirez, Sarah McBride, Yasmine Ansari, Ilhan Omar, former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rashida Tlaib, Seth Moulton, Melanie Stansbury, Ro Khanna, who you just heard from Maxwell Frost, Ayanna Presley, Johnny Olshefski, Julie Johnson, Sarah Jacobs, Bonnie Watson, Coleman Latifah Simon, Robert Garcia, Shelly Pingree, Ed Markey, Shri Thanadar, Rob Menendez, April Delaney, Nakima Williams, Steve Cohn, Joaquin Castro, Betty McCollum, Seth Magazine or Eric Swalwell Bernie Sanders, Joel Takuda, Doris Matsui in Adriano Espaillat, Dan Goldman, Pramila Jayapal, Lori Trahan, Jimmy Gomez, Mark Desaliener, Valerie Foushee, Val Hoyle. Val Hoyle, Zoe Lofgren, Morgan McGarvey, Johanna Hayes, Jan Schakowski, Christian Menifee, Scott Peters, and Hank Johnson. And my apologies if I mispronounced any of their names. Now, I do want to briefly talk about this, because I've gotten a lot of questions today. There is a big difference between the 25th Amendment and impeachment. The 25th Amendment is a function of the Vice President and the Cabinet. Impeachment is a function of Congress, codified by Article 2, Section 4 in the United States Constitution. Only Congress can call for impeachment. Only Trump's Cabinet can utilize the 25th Amendment for impeachment purposes. You need a majority in the House of Representatives to vote on articles of impeachment for the President of the United States. You then need a trial in the United States Senate and more than, I mean, two thirds of the United States Senate to come out in support of impeachment and conviction to remove the President from office. That is extremely unlikely. Extremely unlikely. You do not have any Republicans right now in the House or the Senate publicly supporting impeaching the President of the United States. So you have the 25th amendment. The 25th amendment is a function that could only be used by the Vice President, and the Cabinet cannot be used by Congress. Vice President and the Cabinet have the opportunity to remove a president who is not fit to serve if they come together and essentially agree it's a private event, it doesn't happen in public. And, well, it has, I believe, never happened in modern history. To go back and check in my history to ever for it to have ever happened before. But that also requires Vance to turn on Trump. That also will not happen. And so we're left in a situation where you have a Congress that won't do anything and you have a Cabinet that is so committed to the President, they too won't do anything. But that doesn't mean the pressure should stop. Because just because they can't impeach Trump today doesn't mean that members of Congress shouldn't be calling for his removal or his impeachment. That shows sign of life, right, versus just a strongly worded statement which folks across the political spectrum have become exhausted hearing from this Congress. And, well, speaking of strongly worded statements, at least we got one from a Republican, from Congressman Nathan Nathaniel Moran. The United States must always be prepared to use overwhelming military force when necessary to defend their national security interests and protect Americans at home and abroad. And a president should have the latitude to make decisions to that end, but only to the extent that those decisions are also consistent with the inherent authority of a Commander in chief under the U.S. constitution and the provisions of the War Powers Resolution. To date, I have supported the President's decisions relating to the Iranian conflicts because they were consistent with these authorities and the ultimate goal of protecting national security interests. At the same time, what sets America apart is not only our strength, but how we use it. Our nation has always conducted military operations for just causes and through just and moral means. This must continue. Otherwise we forfeit our legitimacy to lead the world. So let me be clear. I do not support the destruction of a whole civilization that is not who we are and is not consistent with the principles of that have long guided America. That is a break from Donald Trump and I spoke about JD Vance. Here's what Vance has been doing today.

Will you stand against the bureaucrats in Brussels? Will you stand for sovereignty and democracy? Will you stand for Western civilization? Will you stand for freedom, for truth and for the God of our fathers? Then my friends go to the polls in the Weeknd. Stand with Viktor Orban because he stands for you and he stands for all these things. God Bless Hungary and God Bless the United States of America. Thank you.

God Bless Hungary. God Bless the United States of America. He was in Poland today which is only a few hour flight from Tehran. If J.D. vance wanted to go on the ground and negotiate with any Iranian authorities, he is in prime opportunity to do so now. They are actively and feverishly negotiating behind the scenes not to get a deal done, but rather to get an extension and an extension of time to get a deal done. Because as all signs point to us right now, that 8 o' clock deadline will not be met with a deal between the United States and Iran. I'll have another update for you soon. Episode: Breaking: More than 50 Members of Congress Come Out in Support of Removing Trump
Host: Aaron Parnas
Date: April 7, 2026
In this breaking news episode, Aaron Parnas reacts swiftly to an unprecedented development: over 50 members of Congress, spanning both major parties, have publicly called for the removal of President Donald Trump. The movement follows Trump’s incendiary remarks, which have sparked accusations of threatening war crimes and the potential destruction of "an entire civilization." The episode covers the legal mechanisms for removal—impeachment and the 25th Amendment—while exploring the current political landscape, recent congressional statements, and the international actions of key political figures like JD Vance.
Aaron’s delivery is urgent, informative, and slightly incredulous at the speed of the developments. He seamlessly blends legal analysis with real-time political updates, stressing both the significance and limitations of the current congressional response. Throughout, he highlights the historical gravity and undercurrent of public frustration with institutional gridlock.
This episode of The Parnas Perspective gives listeners a comprehensive, clear rundown of the historic day when over 50 members of Congress publicly called for the removal of President Trump, following accusations of remarks bordering on advocating war crimes. The conversation dissects the available constitutional mechanisms, exposes their practical limitations, and underscores the symbolic importance of congressional resistance. Intertwined with broader geopolitical developments, such as JD Vance’s unusual campaign stop in Hungary, the episode expertly frames the intersection of law, power, and political theater at a moment of national crisis.
