We have some major developments this afternoon. For the first time, Donald Trump is now publicly admitting that the United States underestimated what Iran would do in response to the United States launching strikes on Iran. A stunning development and a stunning admission from a president who has for the past several days lambasted the media, including independent media, for talking about the fact that Iran's response was greater than than what the United States expected. Meanwhile, almost every single American ally has rejected Donald Trump's demands to come to the Strait of Hormuz to help reopen it. Or they just haven't responded to Trump as America really stands alone right now on the international stage. And while America may may soon stand even lonelier, as Trump is now claiming that he will soon have the, quote, honor of taking Cuba while the country has turned into an economic blackout with the electrical grid failing, major developments right now. I ruffled some feathers apparently within those close to the White House this morning by saying that, hey, even if we're going to report the truth, like if the truth is the truth, if Trump doesn't like it, pound sand. That's a direct quote from this morning. People weren't happy about that. So I'm going to continue reporting the truth. But I could only do it with your support. So subscribe to support my work. Let's jump right in. Right now, Donald Trump is making a stunning admission about the United States underestimating Iran. Take a listen.
Donald Trump
Look what happened in the last two weeks. They weren't supposed to go after all these other countries in the Middle East. Those missiles were set to go after them. So they hit Qatar, Saudi Arabia, uae, Bahrain, Kuwait. Nobody expected that. We were shocked.
Independent News Commentator
We were shocked. Nobody expected that. They weren't supposed to do it. Those are direct quotes from the President of the United States. And it comes as America's allies right now, as it currently stands, are either rejecting or not responding to Donald Trump's demands. He wants them to send ships to the Strait of Hormuz. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the U.K. japan, Norway, Canada, Australia and Australia have rejected or just said they won't do it. China, Netherlands, South Korea either did not respond or we don't have confirmation about it. Here is chancellor of Germany what he had to say. Take a listen. Now, that's in German. You may not understand it, but he's essentially saying that Germany is not here to help the United States prosecute its own war. This is the United States's war. This is not NATO's war. But when asked about who's coming to help the United States, here's what Trump had to say.

thank you, Mr. President. I'm not CNN, I'm Daily Wire. But thank you for the question. Numerous countries have told me they are on their way. Can you give us a hint what they are, what that entails, how soon
Independent News Commentator
they might be there?
Reporter
You mean who are the countries? Yes, sir, I'd rather not say yet. But we'll be announcing a Marco Rubio and the various people that are doing that will be announcing. And we do, I have to tell you, we have some that are really enthusiastic. They're coming already. They've already started to get there. You know, it takes a little while to get there. It's like in some cases you have to travel an ocean. So does it go that fast? But it'll go fast. And we have some that are fairly local that are doing it. But we'll be in that. We'll give you a list.
Independent News Commentator
He wouldn't say publicly who's helping because if you look at that list, almost everyone is saying no to the president. And while it comes as Cuba has entered an economic blackout this afternoon.
CNN Reporter
And breaking news into cnn, Cuba's electrical grid has suffered a complete and total collapse. This is according to the country's power power operator. It's the first nationwide blackout since the US Effectively shut off the flow of oil to Cuba.
Independent News Commentator
The first nationwide blackout since the United States effectively shut off oil flow to Cuba. And when asked about the future of Cuba, Donald Trump says he would have, he would be the honor, he would have the honor of quote, taking Cuba
Donald Trump
just with a fantastic person who is Cuban and made a fortune in sugar. You know, Van Huel family, right? And this family wants to go back to Cuba to visit it. They wanted, they haven't been back in like 50 years or something. They come from, largely come from Cuba. And we'll see what happens. They were asking me about that. They want to go back. Not only fan houl a lot of Cubans have said, oh, boy, would they love to go back. I think Cuba, I don't know in its own way, if, you know, tourism and everything else. It's a beautiful island, great weather. They're not in a hurricane zone, which is nice for a change. You know, they won't be asking us for money for hurricanes every week. But I think Cuba is seeing the end. You know, all my life I've been hearing about the United States and Cuba. When will the United States it? I do believe I'll be the honor of having the honor of taking Cuba. That'd be good. That's a big honor, taking Cuba. Taking Cuba in some form. Yeah, taking Cuba. I mean, whether I free it, take it. I think I could do anything I want with it. You want to know the truth? They're a very weakened nation right now. They were for a long time a very violent, very violent leaders. Castro was a very violent leader. His brother's a very violent leader. Extremely violent. That's how they governed. They governed with violence. But a lot of people would like to go back.
Independent News Commentator
The honor of taking Cuba. What he means by that is not fully clear. Will he try to make Cuba the first state like he's claimed to try to make Canada and Greenland and all of these other folks? I don't know. What does he mean by that? It's a good question. And while at the same time Donald Trump in these press conferences is actively contradicting himself, take a listen to what happened today.
Donald Trump
We have a needed help. They won't be there for us. I've just known that for a long period of time.
Reporter
We have some that are really enthusiastic. They're coming already. This isn't need.
Donald Trump
Need would be one of the big boys. And if we need their mine boats or if we need anything, any piece of apparatus that they may have because of a situation that they have, they should be jumping to help us.
Reporter
We want them to come and help
Donald Trump
us with the strait. My attitude is we don't need anybody. We're the strongest nation in the world. We have the strongest military by far in the world. We don't need them.

Just complete confusion on both sides right now. So there's a lot of question marks about where American foreign policy is heading, whether it's in the Caribbean with Cuba or in the Middle east with Iran. What we do know is that there is a lot of confusion coming out of the White House and the administration. But then again, if you look back over the past 15 months, since Donald Trump took office for a second time. Confusion really has been the name of the game, right? So that's where we're at right now.
