We have big news this afternoon. Trump's 250 celebration is struggling artists are pulling out en masse, with some artists even saying they were never contacted to perform in the first place. At the same time, the President of the United States is taking millions of dollars from national park entry fees to spend on the beautification of D.C. including his Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool project. And today we're learning he's spending $5 million of your money to make the horses in Washington, D.C. glitter. There are four horses near the Lincoln Memorial as you enter the city. He wants to make them sparkle because they're not sparkling enough. At the same time, the Treasury Department is saying it is preparing to possibly put Trump's face on the $250 bill, all while major Epstein developments ahead of Pam Bondi's testimony on Capitol Hill tomorrow. I'll be there with the survivors in the morning for you and then I'll be covering it throughout the day on Capitol Hill in Congress. Make sure to like, comment, share and if you can, subscribe to my Substack link below to support my work especially, I'm going in person tomorrow and we'll bring you coverage from on the ground. So stay tuned for that. Our next paid subscriber live on Substack is in a matter of hours around 6:45 this evening. You'll get a notification if you're subscribed this afternoon. This is what the featured performers list looked like for the Great American fair for Donald Trump's 250th anniversary. Well, the problem with that is that it's actually very different. A number of performers say they will no longer be performing at Trump's 251st Freedom Fair. First, Morris Day dropped out overnight just hours after this lineup was first announced. Now, Milli Vanilli told the Associated Press it also will not be performing. Milli Vanilli, the lead singer, Jody Rocco, says that neither she nor her sister Linda Rocco, nor any of the other group members had even been asked to come. Quote, my sister and I were shocked to see our name, Milli Vanilli as one of the performers. They weren't even asked and they said, why the heck are we on this list? Morris Day dropped out. And then also Young MC issued a statement saying that Young MC will not perform. They thought it was going to be some of them thought it was going to be a nonpartisan celebration, but Donald Trump is actually embracing it as more of a partisan affair. These singers don't want any part in it. Now, don't worry, Vanilla Ice says he will still perform. He's the only one who's doubled down on this so far. We'll see what happens next. But three of the nine featured performers have bailed and it's just been 24 hours since they were announced. At the same time, the president of the United states is taking $67 million from national park entry fees for the, quote, Beautification of Washington, D.C. that is your taxpayer dollars going directly, not to the national parks, which typically, typically they would you're going to. The first part is, According to notice, $5 million of your taxpayer dollars were given in a government contract to a Maryland firm to beautify this horse and three others. If you're ever coming into Washington, D.C. you would see this horse as you enter kind of near the Lincoln Memorial when you drive out of Virginia, past the Arlington Cemetery, over that iconic bridge, heading to the Lincoln Memorial, you see four horses. They're statues. They've been there forever, right? They've been there for a long time. Well, they're bronze and bronze gets rusty. And Trump apparently, according to notice, doesn't like the fact that they don't glitter. And so he has contracted with a Maryland based company to spend 5 million taxpayer dollars to put 23.75 gold carrot leaf paint on these statues. So that's happening ahead of the 250th anniversary. Also, you know this project that Trump is championing, the redo of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting pool. Yeah. Well, that cost about $13 million and that too will be money used from the national park entry fees to pay for this. Now, something else happening that we reported on this morning, the putting Trump's face on a $250 bill. Well, yeah, the Treasury Department is preparing for it.

So we have to prepare in advance. You can't draw something up the day before.
Casual Commentator
Politically.
Political News Reporter
Do you think it's a good idea
Casual Commentator
though, when people are struggling to afford gas and groceries?
Political Analyst
Look, I think it has, I think that it's bifurcated that. Do you think we should have a 250th anniversary via celebration?
Casual Commentator
Well, that's happening anyway because, but, no,
Political Analyst
no, no, no, no. But Caitlin, it's not happening anyway. It's happening because it's being funded via by private citizens, by the federal government, by state governments, by municipal governments to celebrate our country. And I don't think that there's anything untoward about having the President of the United States that the person who was President United states on the 250th, Ann.

So that's today from Treasury Secretary Scott Besson and there are real questions. Well, Americans are struggling. Americans are even getting kicked off their snap. Millions of Americans have been kicked off their SNAP due to the budget bill
Casual Commentator
today than ever before. So as we have moved about 4 million people off of SNAP, we don't have the exact data. How much of that is fraud? How much of that is people just moving into the American dream and off of the welfare programs. But we think it's probably pretty significant that, yes, this is the goal. And when we hear so much pushback that why are you moving? Why are you kicking people off if you are? And by the way, one of the most important pieces of the one big beautiful bill of the working families tax cut was requiring able bodied adults without small children at home to actually look for a job or perhaps work 15 or 20 hours a week to continue on that program. I say all of that because these programs should not be a handout. They should be a hand up.
Political News Reporter
And now some big news ahead of Pam Bondi's testimony tomorrow. A big, essentially ethics filing was made against Pam Bondi saying that she violated multiple ethics rules through her actions related to the Epstein files, that her misleading communications with third parties violate ethics rules, especially with the Florida Bar. And essentially she also violated the trust of the American public. Her testimony is tomorrow morning, sometime between 9am 10am 11am I'll be on Capitol Hill. There'll be a press conference with about a half a dozen survivors on Capitol Hill as well that I'll be at directly covering for you all. We need answers from Pam Bondi. She won't be under oath, but remember, lying to Congress is a federal crime. So we'll have to see, we'll have to see how tomorrow goes. And speaking of Trump World today, Ryan Fournier, the co founder and chairman of a group called Students for Trump, has been arrested in Washington, D.C. after he allegedly threatened a woman, according to documents obtained by the defector. According to the affidavit, it occurred late Monday night at apartments in City Center. These are very wealthy apartments. Started swinging his fist at her and struck her in the face when a closed fist changed two or three times. That is Ryan Fournier. He is, he has been arrested in Washington, D.C. so it's going to be a busy day. There's also some news about a possible deal with Iran and the United States, but I don't really believe on reporting on a possible deal until there's actually pen to paper because you know how things change over there. And we'll see what happens next. So as always, like comment, share and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work, I'll have another update for you very soon.
