We have breaking news right now. Donald Trump has officially fired the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noemi, the first Cabinet secretary to be removed by the President of the United States in his second administration. It comes after a disastrous hearing for Kristi Noem on Capitol Hill in front of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. And today she has been fired. She will be replaced by Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullen, who is one of a key Trump supporter in the United States Senate. He will be beginning Department of Homeland security secretary beginning March 31st. Kristi Noem will be moved to a different position. Meanwhile, Republicans on Capitol Hill have called for Tony Gonzalez, the Republican congressman who had an affair with a staffer who later lit herself on fire and took her own life, to step down from running for reelection. And Congressman Robert Garcia has confirmed that Attorney General Pam Bondi will release more Epstein files very soon. Make sure to like, comment, share and subscribe. Quote I am pleased to announce that the highly respected United States Senator from the great state of Oklahoma, Mark Wayne Mullen, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, DHS, effective March 31, 2026. The current Secretary, Christy Noem, who has served us well and has had numerous and spectacular results, especially on the border, will be moving to Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, our new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere. We are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Christy for her service at Homeland. Serving 10 years in the United States House of Representatives and three in the Senate, Mark Wayne has done a tremendous job representing the wonderful people of Oklahoma where I won all 77 out of 77 counties in 2016, 2020 and 2024. A MAGA Warrior and formerly undefeated professional MMA fighter, Mark Wayne truly gets along with people and knows the wisdom and courage required to advance our America first agenda. As the only Native American in the Senate, Mark Wayne is a fantastic advocate for our incredible tribal communities. Mark Wayne will work tirelessly to keep our border secure. First Shoe to Drop if you want to know why Kristi Noem was fired, let's talk about it. It's because of her disastrous performance in front of the United States House and in front of the United States Senate.
C
Let's talk about it after the two killings and Minneapolis. And I think. I think there's a lot of video on them, Madam Secretary. I think people can see the video and draw their own conclusions. Are you. You and your department conducting an investigation of those?
D
Sir, the investigation is being led by the FBI. HSI was involved. In fact, our HSI agents on the ground.
C
I'm sorry to cut you off, but I got so little time. I believe at the time, you. You said these were acts of domestic terrorism. Is that right, sir?
D
In answer to questions at the press conference that afternoon, it was that. It appeared to be.
C
Yeah, but you said it. These appeared to be acts of domestic terrorists.
D
And as I've said previously in this hearing. Is that first.
C
Madam Secretary, did you say getting information.
D
A chaotic scene on the ground and relaying information to the American people.
C
Now, again, those videos are. Are public. People can draw their own conclusions. You. I think it'd be safe to say you gotta. You got some pushback on that. Would that be fair?
D
Yes, sir.
C
And yet some criticism. I'm not saying the criticism was accurate or inaccurate. I think you just. You did. What got my attention was that you. You blame Those statements on Mr. Stephen Miller at the White House, did you not?
D
No, sir, I did not. And in fact, where you're seeing that is in a news article of anonymous sources. And anonymous sources say a lot of things, but it is. I've never said that at all.
C
Well, here's what you said on the record. I'm going to read you your words, quote, everything I've done, I've done at the direction of the President.
D
And Stephen, sir, where did you see me say that at? You read that in a news article with no sources.
C
You said on the record on January 27th of 2026. Did you. Did I read your words accurate?
D
I enjoy working with the President and with Stephen Miller. And that day we were working to get as much information to the American people as possible. That is what we'll continue to do, and as that happens, we'll go forward.
C
Do you think it was fair to blame Mr. Miller?
D
Sir, I did not do that. You're reading from a newspaper article with anonymous sources.
C
Are you. Are you denying that you said that?
D
Sir, I'm not going to speak to that situation that is relayed on anonymous sources, that no one has heard me
C
say that it was you.
B
No, but that's not the only moment that got her in Major trouble today. Here's the other moment that really, really set the President off.
C
How do you square that concern for waste which I share, with the fact that you have spent $220 million running television advertisements that feature you prominently?
D
Sir, the President tasked me with getting the message out to the country and to other countries where we were seeing the invasion come from, with, with putting commercials out that told them that if they were in this country illegally that they needed to leave or we would detain them and remove them and they not get the chance to come back to America the right way. That has been extremely effective.
C
Ask you to run these advertisements, is that right?
D
We had that conversation, yes. Before I was put in this position and sworn in and confirmed, and since then as well.
C
Okay. Did you, did you bid out those, those service?
B
So that first part of the question, she said she spoke with Donald Trump about these ads. Oh, put it this way, his recollection and hers are different. Senator Kennedy says after his conversation with potus, she's on her way out. And that's why now, meanwhile, Congressional Republicans are calling on Tony Gonzalez to step down. They said in a statement today, quote, the Ethics Committee has announced an investigation into Congressman Tony Gonzalez conduct and we urge them to act expeditiously. Congressman Gonzalez has said he will fully cooperate with the investigation. We have encouraged him to address these very serious allegations directly with his constituents and his colleagues. In the meantime, leadership has asked Congressman Gonzalez to withdraw from his race for reelection. And at the same time, on Capitol Hill, the Department of justice has announced that it has found documents in the Epstein files to give to the public. Quote, one day after we won a vote in House oversight with United Democrat members to subpoena Pam Bondi. The DOJ just announced that they plan to post more Epstein files. This is after they took down 50,000 files with no explanation. We are going to end this White House cover up. We will see what files they release. It's probably about a cache, about 47 to 50,000 files. Once we release them, once they have them, I will be going through them and I will provide you updates. We will see if the Trump administration decides to release the files as it relates to Donald Trump himself. I'm not personally holding my breath because as you know, they want to protect the President as much as possible, but we will see. Make sure to like, comment, share and subscribe. Episode Title: Breaking: Trump Fires Kristi Noem after Disaster Hearing
Date: March 5, 2026
Host: Aaron Parnas
This episode centers on the breaking news that President Donald Trump has fired Kristi Noem from her role as Secretary of Homeland Security following a contentious and widely criticized appearance before Congress. Aaron Parnas unpacks the reasons for her dismissal, details the shifting dynamics within Trump’s Cabinet, and touches on two additional major political headlines: Republican calls for Rep. Tony Gonzalez to withdraw from reelection amidst scandal, and new revelations regarding Epstein files.
Breaking News:
Official Trump Statement (Read by Parnas at 01:00):
Erratic Testimony and Deflected Blame:
Senators grill Noem on her department’s handling of two killings in Minneapolis.
Noem is accused of both overreacting by calling them "acts of domestic terrorism" and subsequently blaming her statements on Trump adviser Stephen Miller.
Memorable Exchange:
Senator presses on credibility issue, referencing a quote:
Noem repeatedly insists she did not blame Miller, but the senators are unconvinced.
Second Major Misstep – Border Advertisements Abuse:
Noem is pressed on $220 million in TV ads featuring herself ("wasteful spending" concern).
Noem insists Trump himself tasked her (“the President asked me … with getting the message out to the country”).
Parnas points out a disconnect between Noem’s account of these conversations and Trump’s recollection, noting, "Senator Kennedy says after his conversation with POTUS, she's on her way out." ([06:52])
Tony Gonzalez Scandal:
Epstein Files Announcement:
Rep. Robert Garcia confirms Attorney General Pam Bondi will soon release additional Epstein files after DOJ previously removed tens of thousands of files.
Parnas skeptically wonders if files relating to Trump himself will be released:
On Noem’s dismissal:
On spending and waste:
On deflection of responsibility:
On the Epstein files release:
Aaron Parnas maintains a fast-paced, analytical, and slightly skeptical tone throughout, straddling the line between reporting and commentary. He highlights inconsistencies and political maneuverings in accessible language, geared toward a younger, news-savvy audience. The congressional exchanges are direct and pointed, full of political tension and evasive answers, while Parnas adds interpretive context.
This episode delivers thorough, immediate analysis of Kristi Noem’s firing, unpacking both the political drama and the policy failures that led to her ouster. It also keeps listeners up to date on related Capitol Hill intrigue and the ongoing saga of the Epstein files. For anyone seeking a clear, concise breakdown of this major political shakeup, Parnas’s coverage is both informative and engaging.
