A busy morning already, so let's jump right into it. The President of the United States is reportedly, quote, irate and has been stewing for several days now over his America 250 concert. Overnight, another performer dropped out and the President of the United States is not happy that all of these quote Z list performers are no longer performing for him and his concert during the America State Fair. At the same time this morning, Donald Trump announced that Bill Pulte, the current director of the Federal Housing Agency and also a former home builder, will be in charge of the will be acting Director of National Intelligence. Which is setting off some alarm bells because Pulte has overstepped his authority to go after the President's political opponents and could very well go after journalists like me next as a result of his new position as dni. In addition, Trump lashed out at Prime Minister Netanyahu in an expletive laced phone call in which he essentially said to Bibi that if it wasn't for Trump, Bibi would be behind bars and much more. Like Comment Share and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work and really help me have the resources to fight back if and ultimately when someone like Pulte comes after me. Because this morning Trump announced that he is appointing the director of the Federal Housing Agency and chairman of Fannie Mae Freddie Mac, William J. Polti, to serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence. William has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the markets and over $10 trillion at Fannie Mae Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago. During this period, he will remain director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency and chairman of Fannie Mae Freddie Mac. Congratulations to Director Pulte. Director Pulte, why do I why am I personally concerned about this appointment? Well, because over the past 18 months in which Polti has been in the Trump administration, he has actually used his power as director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency to go after Trump's political opponents. He is the one who pushed mortgage fraud charges on Letitia James, the New York attorney general. He tried to push mortgage fraud charges on Adam Schiff, the senator from California. He is personally responsible for the ouster and the firing of the former Siebert, who is a former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. And that's just the start of it. He has actively used his position as this housing director in an effort to go after those Trump doesn't like. And while now he will have the power to do a lot more as the acting director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard is stepping aside come June 30, she says, to be with her husband, who is facing a serious cancer diagnosis. And now here we are. Bill Pulte will now take over the Director of National Intelligence position. It comes as the president of the United States, behind the scenes is reportedly irate over the fact that, as he says, Z List influencers have been canceling on his America 250 concert. This has been an issue for the president for several days now. And he has spent the past several days, quote, stewing behind the scenes over the fact that he could not get performers to come to his concert. The latest, Milli Vanilli, who says they will not perform during the state fair.
D
And we heard on Friday your team told us that you were still intending to perform in Washington, D.C. for the Freedom 250 concert. Is that still the case tonight?
E
It's not the case tonight. This is why I'm here. I'M here to talk to you about this whole thing. So, you know, at first when this idea came to me, I live in Europe, so my team in Europe received the date. We look at the date, okay, the Great American State Fair. And the cherry on Top was 250 years anniversary in America. I've learned a lot of lessons in America, hard lessons that I never forgot to this day. So you know the difference between working hard and working harder, thinking big, thinking bigger, resilience, believe in yourself. So for me, I felt like it was a special moment, you know, of a full circle moment. So it's excited and, you know, that's what it was, a state fair in Washington D.C. that's all it was to begin with.
D
Well, how was that told to you? They told you that it was going to be just a performance to celebrate the United States of America. What changed then?
E
Well, what happened is when I saw Young MC pulled out and I was like, oh, that's weird. Why is he pulling out? Because does he know anything that I don't know? What does he know that I don't know? I was thinking. So I was a little worried there. And then one after the next, people started to leave. But I was told by my team, who was told by another team, there's nothing. There's no political entanglement, there's no political alignment, is just a free show for the people. I was there to unite the people, to bring people together, to have them walk down memory lane, celebrate life. Some people that were there, that would be there, were there when my music came out. So it was a way to say, hey, I'm still here, you're still here, let's have a good time together. That's what it was for me. But throughout the week in turn into a circus, and this is not what I signed. You know, I'm here to, you know, to bring people together with music. I'm not into politics, so you hear it first year. I'm not attending June 26th celebration.
C
I'm not attending the celebration. It also comes as Trump says he had a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel and says that there will be no troops going to Beirut, Lebanon and any troops that are on their way have already turned back. Likewise through highly placed representatives. He had a good call with Hezbollah and they agreed that all shooting will stop. Israel will not attack them and they will not attack Israel. But behind the scenes, the truth is Donald Trump lashed into Netanyahu, accusing him of being ungrateful, calling him crazy. Asking him, what the f are you doing, saying you'd be in prison if it weren't for me, trump said. I'm saving your ass. Everyone hates you now. Everyone hates Israel because of this. And yet at the same time, it comes as we're learning that the House Armed Services Committee's proposed 2027 National Defense Authorization act would actually authorize a $1.15 trillion fund in U.S. military spending, a key provision of which Section 224 has been getting a lot of news, because it would establish a new U.S. israel Defense technology Cooperation Initiative aimed at deepening military and technological collaboration to the United States of America does not have something like this with other nations. It is unclear if it has the votes to remain, as many inside Congress are saying, we don't want this and we're going to strip it. And finally, Missouri Statewide Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program may stop accepting new enrollments on July 1, 2026 because of proposed state budget cuts would reduce funding for the library from nearly $6 million to just $2 million. The program has provided free books to children from birth to age 5, has distributed more than 4.3 million books in Missouri since 2023. If the budget is approved, currently enrolled children will continue receiving books only as funding permits, while new applicants would be turned away. So we're going to see what happens this week. I'm going to be interviewing Senator Mark Kelly. I'm going to be interviewing Governor Tim Walz from Missouri or, sorry, from Minnesota. If you have any questions for any of them, let me know below. As always, like comment, share and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work, I will have more updates for you throughout the day, into the night, as long as it takes, no matter what. So stay tuned for more.
