we have major developments this afternoon that you need to be aware of. The FBI has created a payback squad to go after people it does not like, specifically people against the Trump administration or the Trump administration does not support. It's already gone after people like James Comey, the former FBI director, and it could eventually be expanded to go after people and journalists that Trump doesn't particularly like, including myself. At the same time, Vice President J.D. vance has announced massive suspension of Medicaid funding to California, more than a billion dollars, and is preparing to possibly suspend Medicaid funds to all 50 states. It comes as the Trump China Summit is faltering. Before it began, a significant resignation occurred within the Department of Health and Human Services in protest of the Trump administration and much more. I have the latest for you right now. We're building something and it'll help me fight back in the off chance or in the chance that this payback squad ever comes for me. We're also going to have a paid subscriber live this evening. 650, so tune in on my sub stack if you missed it. We're going to have another one very soon, once a week, every week. This afternoon, according to notice. Notice has announced that the FBI has now put together a team of special agents that's being internally referred to as the Payback Squad, specifically put together to handle politically sensitive cases. The team is understood to be made up of agents who are willing to pursue political targets set by the Trump administration, with one government official noting that investigators are being tasked with building cases similar to those of the recent prosecution of FBI Director James Comey. The sources, which include two government officials, a former official and a fourth person familiar with current operations, differed on whether the squad is based out of Washington headquarters or New York. We've reached a point where your taxpayer dollars are now being used to fund and create a payback squad, a group of special agents who are willing to go after Donald Trump's political opponents. We're likely to see a significant uptick in prosecution of those who oppose Trump, but also those including journalists, who call Trump out in a sense of just sharing the truth. And right now there is a massive, massive criminal investigation being led by a Trump acolyte, Joseph DiGenova, in the Southern District of Florida, that not many people are talking about. That has sent over 100 subpoenas out to political opponents of the President's with the hopes of getting and securing this mass indictment against those who, who Donald Trump does not approve of. It comes this afternoon as Vice President J.D. vance announced a suspension withholding of $1.3 billion in Medicaid payments to California and is now threatening to suspend federal funding to all 50 states if they don't aggressively prosecute fraud in their Medicaid programs. Vance said the administration is targeting California because the state isn't taking fraud seriously enough. Quote, they are California taxpayers and American taxpayers who are being defrauded because California isn't taking its program seriously. But you also have people who have been prescribed medications that they don't even need. They've had drugs put into their bodies and they don't need because fraudsters have actually encouraged false prescriptions, he says. Vance went on to say the administration is notifying all 50 states that it could freeze funding to their Medicare Medicaid fraud control units if they do not aggressively prosecute Medicaid fraud. The units investigate and prosecute Medicaid provider fraud. We're also going to turn off money that goes to these anti fraud units, he said if they fail to do their jobs. He also warns if they continue to find problems, we can turn off other resources within their state Medicaid programs as well. When asked essentially about Trump's recent comments that he's not thinking about Americans financial situations regarding the war in Iran, here's what Vance had to say today.
Journalist/Interviewer
Thank you. And can I ask you, Mr. Vice President, when approaching the war with Iran, do you agree with the President's position that Americans financial situations should not be a consideration in that decision making process?
Vice President J.D. Vance
Well, I don't think the President said that. I think that's A misrepresentation of what the president said. But look, I agree with the president that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon. We're obviously engaged in a very aggressive and very engaged diplomatic process to try to ensure that that doesn't happen. And the president has a lot of options.

He says that he doesn't think that's what the president meant. Well, it comes on the heels of a critical Trump Chi summit in China, which is now being downsized as expectations have faltered. The meeting is now expected to be a limited, low impact summit focused on maintaining stability rather than major deals. Key topics include trade, Iran and fentanyl analysis. Analysts say that the United States has little leverage and Beijing is offering no clear agenda or concessions. Instead of a grand bargain, the talks are likely to yield only modest steps like extending trade truces and maintaining limited sector cooperation. Experts say shifting geopolitical conditions have strengthened China's position, making meaningful breakthroughs unlikely. It really does seem as though the United States of America does not currently have the cards. Comes as Donald Trump's poll numbers are even worse today than they were yesterday.

Just moments ago, a new brutal report on wholesale inflation. Way, way worse than expected. You can see that's the month to month increase at 1.4%. That was much more, more than was expected. On an annualized basis, it's at 6%. This after consumer inflation just surged the highest level in three years. With U.S. now, CNN chief data analyst Harrietten. So we've been talking about inflation. We've been talking about the president's approval on it, which is not good. Our new poll shows that people are very unhappy with the economy, with inflation, with this handling of inflation. On a historical perspective, though, how much don't they like how he's handling inflation?
CNN Chief Data Analyst Harrietten
These are the ugliest numbers I have ever seen on inflation. And it's not just one poll, Johnny Berman, it's many polls. Just take a look here. President's net approval on inflation. The five worst polls ever for any president. They all belong to Donald John Trump. And they have all occurred in the last month. The CNN poll, one of them, 48

worst in American history. And while it's led at least in one situation to Rich Denker, a senior HHS official announcing his resignation today in protest the Trump administration's policies specifically over the approval of Vapes. He wrote in a letter to the President today saying that he hereby resigns his appointment as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services. It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve one of the greatest presidents in American history in both of your administration. Senior HHS officials in the immediate office of the Secretary have in Recent months sought U.S. fDA marketing approval for e cigarette flavors that would appeal to children and expose them to nicotine addiction, lung damage and higher risk of cancer. Routine approval of these products would undermine the agency's flavored electronic nicotine delivery system. Premarket application considerations related to youth Risk guidance for industry standard issued March 9 with the support of the White House. He is resigning because, if you recall, Donald Trump actually pressured the FDA to move quickly to approve flavored vapes. Flavored vapes that many, including even some in his own administration, are now formerly from his administration say could appeal to young children across the country in these stores. So yeah, I mean, lots of, lots of news to cover right now and the Trump Xi Shumit begins tonight Eastern time. I think around 10pm or 11pm Eastern Time. What's going to happen?
