We have some major developments this morning from Epstein to Iran. On the Epstein front, there are more documents. Once again the Department of Justice is withholding concerning wealthy and powerful people related to Jeffrey Epstein. And it comes as Attorney General Pam Bondi has been moved to military housing because of fears from alleged threats that were presented by critics of hers who criticized her handling of the Epstein files along with threats from cartels and Maduro supporter. She's now living in military housing. Now on the Iran front, Iran launched its most, quote, intense strikes to date as the Trump administration misjudged Iran's response, specifically as it related to energy infrastructure and targets on oil, gas, etc. Significant developments right now. And while the Trump administration miscalculated Iran's response, the extent of the miscalculation was laid bare in recent days as Iran has threatened to fire at commercial oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic choke point through which all ships must pass on their way out of the Persian Gulf. In response to the Iranian threats, commercial shipping has come to a standstill in the Gulf. Oil prices have spiked, and the Trump administration has scrambled to find a way to tamp down the economic crisis in the United States. The episode is emblematic, according to the Times, of how Trump and his advisors misjudged how Iran would respond to a conflict that the government in Iran sees as an existential threat. And after this article was published overnight, we learned that three commercial ships were in fact already targeted near the Strait of Hormuz. Near the Strait of Hormuz. That is a significant development. Now, thankfully, there were no casualties on any of these commercial ships. But Iran is now likely targeting ships near the Strait of Hormuz, commercial ships. And Iranian leadership has issued threats saying if you're a ship associated with the United States or with Israel or with any of their allies, you are a legitimate target. Comes as this is currently trending, Operation Epstein Fury, because people are taking Operation Epic Fury and renaming it Epstein Fury. And, well, we're learning that the Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the former Ayatollah, was injured in the attack that actually killed six of his family members, including his father. He is injured, but he is safe. So he is still alive despite claims on the Internet that he may not be. And when asked about this oil crisis that's developing, here's what one Republican Senator, Roger Marshall, had to say.
