everyone, we got a lot of news to cover. But before we do, I do want to quickly start off by saying thank you. Thank you to each and every one of you for your well wishes, for your comments, those who have subscribed, who have sent a coffee. The love and joy that me and my wife have been feeling over the past 12 hours has been truly incredible and I wish I could respond to every one of you and I'm going to try. It's going to take a little bit now that I'm not sleeping as much with the newborn. I'm going to have some time. But I wanted to say thank you truly from the bottom of my heart. Baby is doing well. Mom is doing well. I stepped away for a bit. They're both resting and so I wanted to bring you a news update because the news is still not stopping and we have some big news about the war in Iran. We have a major settlement with the DOJ regarding Michael Flynn, Donald Trump's former National Security adviser. And to top it all off, well, Donald Trump just suffered a major loss in Utah that could fundamentally alter the future of the House of Representatives. So as always, like comment, share and subscribe, the more you like, the more people see and subscribe to my substack. Click the link below to support my work. Let's just jump right into it right now. Donald Trump is not happy. He's not happy because the war in Iran is not going to plan again. And while it's gotten to the point where he is lashing out at NATO, again, he is lashing out at America's allies. He's doing anything and everything in his power to avoid talking about the ongoing war, or rather to avoid talking about the fact that the United States has not achieved its objectives. We learned over the past 24 hours that Donald Trump every day receives a two minute long briefing of sorts, a video. And that video is essentially a compilation, a highlight reel of all the good things that the United States military has done in Iran. And when I say good, it's literally just a two minute video of all the successful bombings that the United States military has done in Iran. But the President isn't being shown are what the Iranians are doing and the other side to this conflict. And as a result, he has a kind of myopic but also an improper view on the war because the war is very different than what the President himself is being told right now behind the scenes by some of his advisors. So that's kind of where we're at right now. And also the United states submitted a 15 point plan to Iran to end this war. Iran responded says okay, here's our own plan. An end to aggression and terror guarantees preventing the reoccurrence of war in Iran, compensation for war damage and reparations, end of war on all fronts and against all resistance groups across the Middle east. Recognition of Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, stating that it's Tehran's natural and legal right. In addition, Iran expressed skepticism, saying it is clear to Iran the United States claim of negotiation is merely a deception project and that the Americans are pursuing several objectives under the guise of their claim to negotiate. First, deceiving the world by presenting an apparently peace loving image and a desire to end the war. Second, keeping the price of oil low globally and third, buying time to prepare for a new act of aggression via the ground invasion. And well, we learned over the past 24 hours that during a congressional briefing they were essentially told members of Congress that we are moving closer to a ground invasion, not further away. That right there is a major development. And while it comes as Trump is attacking NATO, he doesn't want NATO's help. He's mad at NATO for not helping again.

Missile went 2,500 miles. They supposedly didn't have a missile like that. They had no missile with that capability. But they shot the now famous Ireland, the island that the UK was very afraid to give us because they didn't want to get dragged in. But we don't want to get dragged into their wars either. You know one thing, we're very disappointed, I'll say it publicly, we're very disappointed with NATO because NATO has done absolutely nothing.
News Host
We're disappointed with NATO because NATO has done absolutely nothing. That's what the President is saying. NATO is one of America's closest allies. And it looks as though it's getting increasingly likely that Trump could soon pull out of NATO. But here's what he also had to say today.
News Analyst
Their neighbors were sort of like bystanders. They weren't involved very much. They didn't choose heavy sides. They didn't want to because people were concerned with Iran. There was a big black cloud over the Middle East. They were concerned. But all of a sudden, the worst starts and they start shooting at these five in particular five countries. They start shooting at Qatar, Saudi Arabia, uae, Kuwait, Oman. They start shooting at them. And they were, they were. Everybody was shocked, including us. You know why? Because they're sick.
News Host
Everyone was shocked, including us. And he says, you know why? Because they're sick. But the real reason why is because the United States actually underestimated what Iran's response was going to be. And it comes at another critical point, because right now, over the past 24 hours, the United States vetoed at the UN General assembly, voted against a resolution declaring that trafficking of enslaved Africans was the greatest crime against humanity, calling for reparations. Only three countries voted against it. It's 123 to 3 with 52 abstentions. The three countries, Argentina, Israel and the United States. And the reason the United States voted against citizen believe that those subject to slavery deserved rights reparations. And it also comes as the Justice Department has now settled for roughly $1.2 million, a lawsuit from Michael Flynn, Donald Trump's former national Security advisor. Michael Flynn, if you know anything about him, he actually pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with a top Russian diplomat. And while in response to him pleading guilty, Donald Trump eventually pardoned him. Gave him the pardon. It was all fine, all fine and dandy. And now Michael Flynn sued for malicious prosecution saying that the DOJ maliciously prosecuted him and he got a $1.2 million despite pleading guilty. He pled guilty, he admitted his crimes and well now he's getting paid 1.2 million taxpayer dollars. And finally in pretty big news actually, Trump backed effort to repeals Utah's anti gerrymandering law has failed after a grassroots campaign removed enough signatures to block it from the ballot. Republicans spent $4.35 million on signature gathering and brought in Turning Point action even to support the effort. The campaign was endorsed by Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. But it fell short. A major loss for Republicans in Utah, a major loss for the Trump White House because this, this could have fundamentally altered the House of Representatives, who gets elected, the makeup of the House. And yet Trump lost. So there's still a lot of news that is happening right now. I'm obviously a lot of people want to know, what's my paternity leave plan? Well, my paternity plan is kind of simple. We're just taking it day by day. My wife, my daughter come first. They're going to be less news updates, especially at the beginning. And then we'll kind of get back to our normal cadence in the next week or two. But for now, I'm going to just enjoy the time that I have with my wife and my daughter. The Parnas Perspective – March 26, 2026
Host: Aaron Parnas
This episode dives into the latest breaking U.S. political news and global developments, focusing heavily on Donald Trump’s growing anxiety over setbacks in the Iran conflict and a significant Republican defeat in Utah that could reshape the House of Representatives. Host Aaron Parnas threads these headlines together with insider analysis, emphasizing the high stakes and implications for American policy, party strategy, and international alliances. The episode also touches on a controversial DOJ settlement with Michael Flynn and American actions at the UN.
[01:31–05:45]
Trump’s Frustration:
Aaron details Trump’s dissatisfaction with the progress in Iran, noting that the President is receiving selectively positive military briefings—a daily two-minute video montage of U.S. successes in Iran. This filtered information may contribute to Trump’s “myopic” and “improper” view of the conflict’s actual status.
Escalating Tensions:
The U.S. recently submitted a 15-point peace plan to Iran, which Iran countered with its demands:
Iranian Skepticism:
Iran accused the U.S. of using negotiations as a “deception project,” claiming America’s goals are to appear peace-loving, keep oil prices low, and buy time for a potential ground invasion.
Congress Briefed on Ground Invasion:
“We are moving closer to a ground invasion, not further away.” (Aaron, [04:53]) This suggests heightened risk and escalation in the region.
Trump’s NATO Attacks:
Trump is publicly blaming NATO for “doing absolutely nothing” ([05:14]) and is reportedly considering U.S. withdrawal.
> “We're very disappointed, I'll say it publicly, we're very disappointed with NATO because NATO has done absolutely nothing.”
— (Trump statement, cited by Aaron, [05:14])
[06:00–06:38]
American Underestimation:
Trump and his advisors underestimated Iran’s retaliation and the spread of conflict to neighboring Middle Eastern countries.
> “Everyone was shocked, including us. And he says, you know why? Because they're sick. But the real reason why is because the United States actually underestimated what Iran's response was going to be.”
— Aaron ([06:38])
[06:38–07:24]
[07:24–08:18]
DOJ settles a lawsuit from Michael Flynn, Trump’s former National Security Advisor, for $1.2 million after Flynn claimed malicious prosecution.
Aaron highlights the irony: Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, was pardoned by Trump, and now is awarded taxpayer money.
> “He pled guilty, he admitted his crimes and well now he's getting paid $1.2 million taxpayer dollars.”
— Aaron ([08:18])
[08:18–09:38]
A high-profile, Trump-backed campaign to repeal Utah’s anti-gerrymandering law fails, despite $4.35 million invested and national Republican support.
Grassroots opponents successfully withdraw enough signatures to keep the repeal off the ballot—a “major loss for Republicans in Utah” and the Trump political operation.
The defeat maintains the integrity of Utah’s congressional districting, likely impacting the future composition of the House.
> “A major loss for Republicans in Utah, a major loss for the Trump White House because this, this could have fundamentally altered the House of Representatives, who gets elected, the makeup of the House. And yet Trump lost.”
— Aaron ([09:30])
[09:38–09:49]
On Trump’s View of the Iran War:
“The President isn't being shown... the other side to this conflict. And as a result, he has a kind of myopic but also an improper view on the war.”
— Aaron ([02:50])
On the Prospect of U.S. Pulling Out of NATO:
“It looks as though it's getting increasingly likely that Trump could soon pull out of NATO.”
— Aaron ([05:45])
