Good evening everyone. Lots of news to cover this afternoon from Donald Trump's large fund that he's establishing. We're learning more for his allies for January six defendants and more to Zoran Mamdani establishing the first public grocery store in New York City. To Trump calling off a major attack on Iran and a mass shooting in San Diego. A horrific, horrific, horrific mass shooting in San Diego that has left three people dead this evening and investigators are now currently investigating it as a hate crime. Lots to Cover Like Comment Share get the word out and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work to support independent journalism. I'm working on a really big exclusive story right now. Hopefully we'll be out first thing in the morning or sometime tomorrow about the Pentagon and the Department of Defense and a big war game that is currently happening behind the scenes. So stay tuned on that front and make sure to subscribe, to be the first to know and to support my work. This afternoon, Donald Trump doubled down on the idea of taking 1.7, $1.8 billion in federal funding, taxpayer dollars that you use that should go to you. To establish a fund to provide for his supporters for January six defendants and more. When asked about it, here's what he had to say. Justice Department has this new fund that was announced today, $1.7 billion. Why should taxpayers pay for the January.
Donald Trump
Well, it's been very well received. I have to tell you. I know very little about it. I wasn't involved in, in the whole creation of it and, and the negotiation. But this is reimbursing people that were horribly treated. Horribly treated. It's anti weaponization. They've been weaponized. They've been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly. They paid legal fees that they didn't have, they've gone bankrupt, their lives have been destroyed, and they turn out to be right. I mean, it was a terrible period of time in the history of our country. And they worked on it. I know the Justice Department, it's really been working on it very hard. There's been numerous other occasions over the years where things like this have been done, but these were people that were weaponized and really treated brutally by a system that was so corrupt, with corrupt people running it, and they're getting reimbursed for their legal fees and the other things that they had to suffer. Yeah, please.

So he is doubling down on this idea, saying, you know what, people really liked it, people suffered, and people should get this money. Well, the truth is, tonight, it actually is already in a little bit of trouble, because I do want to point something important now because. So if you know anything about the $10 billion lawsuit Trump filed, he essentially filed this lawsuit in the Southern District of Florida in front of a judge called Judge Kathleen Williams. Okay. Tonight, Judge Kathleen Williams said, quote, there is no settlement of record in the case that she has closed. Now, the Department of Justice is calling this a settlement agreement. So if there's no settlement of record and DOJ is saying it's a settlement agreement, something doesn't add up. And while that may mean could be in trouble, because here's what she said, quote, because the notice does not reference any settlement or include a stipulation of settlement. There is no settlement of record, but the DOJ has called it a settlement. So either this agreement is invalid or the DOJ is providing some type of workaround. So we'll have to see what that means. Same Time. This afternoon, there was a horrific shooting in San Diego at the Islamic center, the largest mosque in the county. You all probably have already heard of it. Three people have been dead, have been confirmed dead, including a security guard. Authorities are investigating it as a possible hate crime. The two suspects, age 17 and 19, died from apparent self inflicted gunshot wounds. Just an absolutely horrific, horrific afternoon in San Diego and Claremont. In addition, Donald Trump backed out, he says, of a serious strike on Iran. So that he was asked by the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE to hold off on our planned military attack of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was scheduled for tomorrow. And that serious negotiations are now taking place. And that in their opinion, as great leaders and allies, a deal will be made which will be very acceptable to the United States of America as well as countries in the Middle East. That's what he's saying this afternoon. Now, Vice President Vance was asked about fraud and the settlements and all that. I want you to listen to what he has to say.
J.D. Vance
When somebody steals $1.4 billion from the Medicaid program, that is theft from you, and that's theft from people who deserve to be able to go see a doctor. When people steal billions of dollars from the Medicare program, that that is theft from you, and it's also theft to the people who use the Medicare program to pay their bills.

Many people are saying that should also be applied to the $1.7, $1.8 billion fund that Donald Trump is taking for himself, shouldn't it? Here's what else fans had to say. He made a bit of a gaffe today.

D.C. who's in charge in Washington, D.C. right now, Vance and Trump control the White House. Republicans, right now, they control the House. They also control the Senate. So he says vote against them. Now. Today there was a moment in New York. Zohran Mandani was announcing the first publicly funded public grocery store. It's going to open up in the Bronx. He had a moment that has gone viral that I think you should see. So take a listen.
Zohran Mamdani / NYC Mayor
I cannot help but think of the words of our 40th president, Ronald Reagan. He famously said the nine most terrifying words in the English language are, I'm from the government and I'm here to help. It's a good quote, but I disagree. I think nine more terrifying words are actually, I worked all day and can't feed my family. We are going to use the power of government to lower prices and make it easier for New Yorkers to put food on the table. When government understands its purpose as serving the very working people that it has left behind time and again, it can make a difference in the most pressing struggles facing our city today. It's not just that government can help, it's it's that government must help. And our government will help.
