It was a significant night of elections. Elections that have officially been called and represent a major shift nationwide in Republican state after Republican state voters rejected Republican backed ballot initiatives. All while Donald Trump, the President of the United States faced humiliation over the fact that his endorsed candidate lost to someone who dropped out of the Republican primary in a congressional seat on weeks ago. A pretty stunning development. It comes as Trump is seeking to roll back the Endangered Species Act. The House Republican Caucus is coalescing around Max Miller despite the horrific abuse allegations and UFC lost a staggering $30 million staging the UFC fight on the White House South Lawn. Remember when 60 Minutes refused to air the interview with Senator Ron Wyden over this bombshell Epstein report showing where the money moved, who controlled it and whatnot? Well, we're going to interview with, we're going to sit down with Senator Wyden and he's going to tell you essentially what CBS refuses to air. We have election results across the country from Michigan to Kansas to Missouri to Washington. In Michigan, obviously the big results, Abdul El Sayed has defeated Haley Stevens literally seconds ago. Haley Stevens actually called El Sayed to concede. In addition, progressive candidate Lawrence William Lawrence won in Michigan's 7th congressional district. The only race that has yet to be called is the Sri Thanador Donovan McKinney House District 13 race. But I expect that to be called soon. Wesley Bell defeated Cori Bush in another progressive versus Establishment race. The establishment won out there, the progressives won out in Michigan. So it's a little bit of a wash in a way between the progressives and the establishment. They each won a little bit. But the big win is obviously the El Sayed win because he now faces Mike Rogers in November. But what not many people are talking about, truly but not many people are talking about is what happened in Kansas and Missouri. Two Republican led states where Republican backed ballot initiatives were rejected uniformly. In Kansas, this is about voters rejected a Republican backed constitutional amendment that would have replaced the state's current judicial appointment system with direct elections for state supreme court justices. Currently Democratic Governor Laura Kelly appoints justices from a list of vetted by a nonpartisan commission with justices then facing retention votes. Republicans pushed the change after the Court ruled in 2019 that the state constitution protects abortion rights A decision voters upheld in 2022. The campaign drew over $12 million in ad spending, with opponents outspending supporters more than 2 to 1, arguing that the measure would inject partisan money into the court system. And so this was an effort by Republicans to flip, to change the way they do Supreme Court justices. Why? Well, because if they were able to do this, then they could automatically remove certain justices quicker. And well, now, because voters rejected this Republican backed measure, Democrats will have a majority on the Kansas supreme court well into 2040, 2041 to be exact. When we talk about abortion, Todd Blanche was caught on a hot mic saying he's ready to ban abortions. Apply Dobbs nationwide.

No, this is a big part of our job, a big part of my job as the acting Attorney General. And Attorney General Bondi before me was restoring, bringing back regularity to the Department of Justice and the government when it comes to protecting religious liberty. And we're not done. We have a lot of work to do with some of the policies around pro life and some of the pro abortion work that the Biden administration and the Justice Department allowed to happen. Some of that is taking longer than we want. But rest assured that we're working hand in hand with HHS and the FDA and the White House and President Trump's team to get permanent solutions so that the Dobbs decision becomes permanent in every single state. So that means that if states are allowing, if states have said we are not, we are going to protect the unborn and we're going to protect every life from the moment of conception. We're putting practices and policies in place so that other states and other organizations can't attack that. And they can't, you know, do things like they're doing with mailing in mail order drugs and things like that. And there's, it's a process that takes a lot of time and that's why it's been 19 months and we don't have complete victory yet, but we will have victory and victory will be soon and it will be permanent. And that's an important thing to everybody to remember.

So that's where Todd Blanche is out. Now. Another major election news. In Missouri, two more Republican backed ballot initiatives lost the first Amendment. Four, the measure which proposed by the Republican led legislature would have required citizens initiated, initiated amendments to the state constitution to win in each of the state's eight congressional districts to pass rather than passing by a simple statewide majority. Why do they do this? Well, they actually just, they just gerrymandered Missouri to make all eight congressional districts conservative. And so this new amendment would have essentially changed the way initiatives pass. Abortion rights, marijuana rights, et cetera. 8020 rejection. Also 8317 rejection. An amendment to eliminate state income taxes, which would have made Missouri the 10th state in the country without them. And instead of raise essentially the state sales tax. So that happened. Another election news that not many people are talking about. This happened in Michigan's 8th congressional district. Thomas Smith doesn't even have a picture in NBC News. He won this primary. Thomas Smith dropped out weeks ago. Donald Trump endorsed his opponent, Amir Hassan. Amir Hassan is down 17 points, 17 points to a candidate who has no money, who has no campaign, who dropped out weeks ago. And, well, here we are, a major embarrassment for the President of the United States. Something else that was embarrassing for the President of the United states was this. UFC has lost $30 million staging its Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn in June, an invite only gathering for about 4,300 people, including Trump and Vance, marking 250 years of America's independence. And also was on Trump's birthday. Well, initial costs were projected to be above $60 million, partially offset by sponsorships and media exposures. And, well, the loss was anticipated, but it was much worse than it probably could have been. They did not expect to lose $30 million, and yet they did. In other news, Trump is seeking to roll back the Endangered Species act and protections for the endangered species in America, saying for too long, radical climate activists attempted to hold their great country hostage by drastically and unreasonably expanding the intended scope of the Endangered Species Act. This was complete and total regulatory overreach by unelected bureaucrats. They treated Americans very unfairly by stifling the production of important resources like oil, natural gas and timber and blocking the construction of our family homes and critical infrastructure. So they're going to be rolling back critical protections for endangered species. So that's the news right now. There's going to be more news soon for sure.
