Lots of news to cover this morning from President Obama calling out Donald Trump in ways we have not seen before, from former President Obama during Trump's term, saying that Obama occupies space in Donald Trump's head rent free and that what Trump says behind the scenes to President Obama is very different to what he calls President Obama publicly. At the same time, we have devastation this morning in Venezuela following two serious earthquakes, one magnitude 7.2, another magnitude 7.5, that have absolutely devastated Venezuela. Thousands are now presumed to be dead. Many individuals flocked and fled Donald Trump's rally in Washington, D.C. during the Great America State Fair early last night. And at the same time, Iran is calling out Trump again and we're learning more about plans to suppress mail in voting in the midterm elections. All the news right now. Make sure to like comment, share and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work. I know I ask a lot. I know it's annoying. But I rely on you, which is why I ask. So please bear with me. And if you can subscribe today, our next paid subscriber only live will be tonight at 7:45pm Eastern Time. I want to begin by talking about President Obama's latest appearance on a podcast where he actually spoke about President Trump in ways he had never done so before. President Obama Called out Donald Trump for saying one thing publicly and another thing privately, saying that he wouldn't dare tell me the things he says publicly, privately, and at the same time really called out Trump saying that he occupies a space in his head rent free. I want you to take a listen to this moment.

I'm not even worried about it.

And then. And I know, I know I kind of like it. I do worry sometimes. You know, I've heard some of the guys and, you know, talk about changes in the locker room now and how kids are, you know, some of the younger players. Instead of just talking or playing some bid whiskey or something, everybody just like talk to your phone on the phone. You know. The other thing I believe in and, and part of what we try to teach in our leadership training is I believe in face to face. I believe in conversation. So if this, whoever you were talking about was in front of me, which has happened a couple times, he don't talk like that because he knows better. It ain't never. And I think there is a. That filter of the phone creates a situation both where people just say kind of crazy stuff that they would never say to your face with no consequences.

And Trump says he knows better, or Obama says Trump knows better than to say some of the things he says online to him in person. And I tend to agree. Take a listen to this moment as well.

What it is that. The obsession. The obsession. I know what it is. Yeah. I obviously have a room in his head rent free. You do everything with grace. A sweep in his head. But the thing about it is that was always clear to me. Look, first of all, when I was president, the last thing I had time to do was worry about what somebody said somebody said or what my predecessor did. They're gone. I've got work to do. You locked in. It's hard to describe how if you're doing the job right, every day you've got five, 10 things that are real hard and you have to be constantly focused. The idea that I'd be worrying about came before somebody who came before and me trying to measure, you know, like, what's he done today? Look, constantly worrying about that is a strange thing to me. It shows me somebody who's not focused on the American people.

He's not wrong. Right. You're the President of the United States and you're spending your time on truth Social. You're not spending your time doing the job as president of the United States. And it comes. I want to show you this horrific video out of Caracas, Venezuela, downtown Venezuela, the capital. This is what. Look what Venezuela looks like today. A 7.2 magnitude earthquake followed by a 7.5 magnitude aftershock has devastated Venezuela. Venezuela to the point where thousands are presumed dead under rubble as we speak. It's a very serious situation. Jose Andres has pledged a million dollars to the relief efforts. The United States has sent search and rescue teams from Fairfax and elsewhere to try to help the people of Venezuela. Recovery efforts will take a long time because Venezuela's infrastructure was not built to sustain or to sustain these types of earthquakes. These are very dangerous, very serious. And it comes on the same day that we had serious earthquakes in California as long along with Japan. In Japan, There was a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in northern Japan. In California, there was the largest earthquake since 1940 in the Bay Area, 5.6 magnitude earthquake. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in either of those earthquakes. But in Venezuela, it is a very serious situation. And on my sub stack below, I'll have ways that you can help the people of Venezuela. And when we talk about the upcoming midterm elections, we talk about an upcoming ballot rule. The USPS is pushing forward with a rule to require states to provide information about every American living in that state eligible to vote to the federal government so that the federal government can create a massive database of your information. And if the states don't do it, they won't get mail in ballots. And the Postmaster General confirmed this in a new hearing today.
Government Official
So yes or no, if a state refuses to turn their absentee voter list over to the federal government, will the Postal Service still mail their ballots under this proposal rule? Under our proposed regulation, no. We would tell the state that we need the manifest in order to, you know, look, what, what we're asking, that, that's, that's the answer. You tell no. So the proposed rule basically coerces states to conform to these new requirements and hand over their absentee voter rolls or face the consequences of not being able to vote by mail. Some states, that's all they do. Oregon is completely vote by mail. If they say no, we control the list. The states control. We're not going to give it. Oregon has followed Kit 600 since the day they started voting by mail. This is a different issue. This will be a lot different issue. You're telling these states either give the federal government this information, trust the federal government, trust the Trump administration, we'll take good care of these. And if you don't do it, you can't mail absentee ballots. You're going to make a decision that people cannot vote by mail. That's unacceptable. Well, that does all that does, Senator, is make sure that we match the ballots that a state believes they're sending out to what actually gets sent out.

Right now, this rule is going to be subject to legal challenges. We'll ultimately see what happens on that front. Today, Iran is calling out the Trump administration, saying that America falsely claims unfrozen assets will buy their agriculture. Interesting. The only crop we're harvesting is what you planted decades of mistrust. It's organic, abundant and homegrown. But apparently the US Only exports GMO soybeans, broken promises and trash talks. And it comes as Trump is not too happy as this is what he saw last night during his Great America State Fair. Producer of oil and gas on earth,

And what you're watching are droves of people leaving his speech early. Now, the President is really keen on crowd sizes, really wants there to be a lot of people at his speeches. The speech was on the National Mall. It didn't really have the fanfare that he really wanted it to, and people just simply left early. So I have more updates for you throughout the day. As always, make sure to like, comment, share, and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work, I'll have another update for you very soon.
