Day 4th of July celebrations in Washington D.C. went off with a lot of hitches, right? There was a lot of weather delays, a lot of issues. Last night. The President didn't start speaking until past 11:00pm Eastern Time, more than an hour after he was supposed to speak originally. People in line were upset. It took a long time to get in in the extreme heat and weather. Then they were all forced out because of the extreme heat and weather and then they had to get back in. It led to an event that had smaller than expected crowd sizes. Even the President of the United States acknowledged that the crowd size was half as big as he thought it would be. And while that's upsetting to someone who really cares about crowd sizes, the fact that the President of the United States admitted that his crowd wasn't as big as he wanted, it just tells you everything you need to know. And this morning DC residents are waking up to a thick and unhealthy smog blanketing the city following the record breaking fireworks display on the National Mall. But it wasn't just fireworks that were and the DC issues that were a problem this morning. The United States of America is waking up to eight mass shootings. Eight mass shootings in the past 24 hours, blanketing the country. 215 mass shootings just this year. It's a clear reminder, a clear reminder that our nation has a long way to go. I have all the latest right now. Make sure to like, comment, share and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work, I'm getting you all of this news in real time. I watched the President's speech so that you don't have to. I want to begin by showing you the empty crowd in Washington D.C. during his speech. Because this morning this is what the President is unhappy about.
President Joe Biden
Tonight we come together for one of the most joyous and glorious milestones of all time. And you know what that is. 250-the-250, the 250th anniversary. And I do have to say this, one of my very people backstage said, don't worry.
News Reporter
As you can see, the crowd is relatively half empty or so. Now that doesn't mean that there weren't a lot of people there. Of course there were a lot of people there. There were tens of thousands of people there. But there weren't the amount of people that the President wanted. And he even acknowledged this in his speech.
President Joe Biden
No way we could be deterred. And they estimated they had 375,000 people before everybody had to leave. And they now have 150,000 people. It's the craziest thing anyone's ever seen, at least. And I want to just thank you. And I feel so badly about some people. They left and they couldn't get back. But you're very special people and we have a very special country. Thank you very much.

Started at 375,000, ended at 150,000 because a lot of people couldn't show up. The actual number of people that were in the crowds were far less than 150,000, even if the President doesn't necessarily want to admit it. But after the record breaking fireworks show, this is what DC Is waking up to this morning. It is filled with smog. Now for a long time leading up to the 4th of July, National Park Service employees were warning that this could end up happening. Today, Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas are under either an unhealthy or very unhealthy air quality warning. Purple warnings are in effect for Washington D.C. this morning. That is very unhealthy for every single member of the population, whether you're a part of sensitive group or not. Unhealthy warnings are for in and around the D.C. area, up north, in Maryland and elsewhere. This is what the results of the record breaking fireworks show were. And if you ask Stephen Miller, well, it was all a divine prophecy. Maybe it was. Stephen Miller says that putting Trump as President of the United States was as a result of a divine province, a holier than thou power and, you know, maybe the mother nature aspect of it all was some kind of divine prophecy to show Americans that, hey, maybe this isn't the way to go. Maybe this isn't the direction that our country needs to go. And when we talk about the direction of our country, not many people talk about the fact that there were mass shootings across America. Last night. Just in the past 24 hours, eight mass shootings gripped the United States of America. In Dayton, Ohio, four people were injured. In Centerville, Mississippi, seven people were injured. Two people were killed. In Brooklyn, New York, eight people were injured. In Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, seven people were injured. San Antonio, Texas, four people were injured. Radcliffe, Kentucky, three people were injured. Pensacola, Florida, five people were injured. Chicago, Illinois, seven people were injured. And this is just in the past 24 hours to this day this year, we're about halfway through 2026. 215 mass shootings, according to the Gun Violence Archive. That's more mass shootings than days in the year. And right now, a lot of Americans are sharing this clip of President Joe Biden to show a different vision for America's future. Take a listen.
Hillary Clinton
Not only do we have the largest economy in the world, we have the strongest economy in the world. We have the most productive workers in the world. And given a fair shot, given a fair chance, Americans have never, ever, ever, ever let their country down. Never. Never. Ordinary people like us who do extraordinary things. We've had candidates before attempted to get elected by appealing to our fears, but they've never succeeded. Because we do not scare easily. We never bow, we never bend, we never break when confronted with crisis. No, we endure, we overcome. And we always, always, always move forward. That's why. That's why I can say with absolute conviction I am more optimistic about our chances today than when I was elected as a 29 year old kid to the Senate. The 21st century is going to be the American century because. Because we lead not only by the example of our power, but by the power of our example. That is the history of the journey of America. And God willing, God willing, Hillary Clinton will write the next chapter in that journey. We are America, second to none. And we own the finish line. Don't forget it. God bless you all. And may God protect our troops. Come on. We're America. Thank you.

That speech, you may Remember, is from 2016 Convention for Hillary Clinton. And it's a speech that's going viral today over what America's future is and what it could be and the people that may lead it one day when we look at America's 250 as we look to the rest of the year. I think a lot of people are saying, who is this country working for? Is it working for me? Is it working for the middle class American? And a lot of people are saying the answer to that is no. And so we'll see what the rest of the year brings us. We'll see what the next 250 bring us this morning. What it is bringing us is a lot of smog and angst within the White House.
