You the American taxpayer will be on the hook for anywhere from 200 to $300 million to build Donald Trump's ballroom as new records reveal that the president of the United States is in fact lying about the fact that taxpayers would not pay for the ballroom. At the same time, J.D. vance was trotted out to sell the Iran deal to the public and, well, he hasn't successfully done so. Republicans say that the president is hiding the deal because it's not a good one for him. Right now, as we speak, workers on the White House, or rather on the National Mall, are pouring hydrogen peroxide into the National Mall. Into the National Mall. Yeah, hydrogen peroxide. You're into the video, into the reflecting pool because of all the algae growth that we're seeing. And while there was apparently a thwarted FBI terror attack involving explosive drones at Trump's UFC fight, Trump says he knows nothing about it. I want to begin by talking about Vice President Vance because he was trotted out on television to sell the deal for the war in Iran and, well, didn't really go to plan. Republicans now say that the Trump administration is actively concealing the terms of the deal with Iran because it's not good for him. Here's what Trump's campaign strategist David Urban had to say.

I agree with that. If it was good news, it would have been leaked. We'd all know about it. Donald Trump would stay around to sign and pass out pension. The fact that he is getting out of town does not bode well. Anyone with any shred of political sense knows that, you know, politicians and cameras go hand in glove, right? So if this was something good and going to be, you know, of global significance, Donald Trump would be there. I think that this is to be viewed Very skeptically. I do not trust the Iranians. They've given us. No, look, I know what act said that, you know, the Iranians kind of maybe put things on pause, but they have been exporting tariff through their, their, you know, their proxies, whether it's in Yemen and Lebanon, all across the Middle east. They've been nothing but an irritant to their neighbors. And an irritant is, put it mildly. I find it hard to imagine that somehow that they're now going to, you know, turn the page and the IRGC is going to be passing out flowers and, you know, even the money that we have sanctioned, I think it's somewhere. And the $100 billion range that we've, we've frozen since 79. The Obama administration released some of that. There's still, I think about 100 billion roughly. That's the kind of, the wild guess. I think this other number, this 300 billion numbers would be if they did all these things, you know, the Gulf nations would help cooperate in some sort of, you know, rebuilding there. But, but why would we want to help Iran in any way, shape or form with this hateful theocracy still in power is just beyond me, Caitlin.

It's beyond him. It makes a good point that if Donald Trump had a good deal, he would be out there parading the terms of the deal. Even Fox News recognized that this deal isn't actually that good for him.

The President says, he says their navy is at the bottom of the water. The Air Force is done. They've been degraded in missiles. However, we see Iranian missiles Fire at U.S. bases and fire at ships. They're saying that the strait is going to be open completely. Iran says something differently in how they talk about it.

Yeah, they're talking about still controlling the strait. And so the question I think the President may be discussing with our G7 partners is whether we can independently control the strait ourselves going forward so that Iran cannot in the future extort us.

It just really doesn't make much sense. It just doesn't make much sense. And ultimately JD Vance was responsible for selling this deal on television. He wasn't able to do so over the past 72 hours. And Republicans on Capitol Hill right now want to see this deal for themselves. They're a little nervous. They're saying, what is this deal and why essentially have we not seen it yet? Now it comes as FBI Director Kash Patel has announced that the, the FBI and law enforcement partners thwarted an event, a terrorist attack to the UFC America 250 in Washington, D.C. involving several individuals. That's what Cash Patel says. And essentially this terrorist attack, based on reporting from Fox and others, involved explosive laden drones and multiple sniper teams in, in an effort to try to blow up buildings near the White House, force mass evacuations from the UFC fight. As people ran in, sniper teams would storm the White House gates. That's what the FBI is saying. It's not me, that's the FBI. Now, that's a massive, massive terror plot, right? I mean, if that's a terror plot like that, the President of the United States would have to know about it, wouldn't he? I mean, see what he says.

I haven't heard about it, no, but I watched the attack. That I watched were the fighters. And he saw it too, by the way. He was sitting back home in his beautiful palace and he was watching it. And they were as good a fight as I've ever seen. The best fight. The best. That last fight was brutal.

And the two last, all of the fights, the two fights, it was all good. It was a great evening. It was very different for the White House, but I wish you could have been there. They, we built an incredible arena. Dana did a great job. Is there going to be another fight next year, Mr. President? Well, I don't know. I got away with it 250 years. Maybe in another 50, maybe 300.

The president had no idea there was apparently a terrorist attack. Now, when we talk about what's happening, you're watching here, they're pouring. Workers are pouring hydrogen peroxide now onto algae growth inside the Lincoln memorial reflecting pool. $14 million spent to fix the algae growth. And we've gotten to the point where we're now dropping hydrogen peroxide in an effort to try to kill the algae. Just letting you know. At the same time, five months after the demolition of the White House East Wing, Trump claimed that the project to construct a massive ballroom and a bunker in its place would cost up to $400 million, saying, quote, it's taxpayer free. We have no taxpayer funds putting up 10 cents, he said. But a detailed project summary prepared for the White House by a contractor more than three weeks before. The Trump comments actually put it at $600 million, not $400 million, with more than half coming from taxpayers. And by the time Trump made the comments, the federal government had already approved more than a dozen payments. The contractor overseeing the work, Clark Construction, totaling tens of millions of dollars in public funds. Since first announcing the East Wing project, Trump has repeatedly said the price tag would not exceed 400 million and that private donations routed through a nonprofit would cover its entire costs. That's not true. You, the American taxpayer will be paying anywhere from 2 to $300 million in an effort to try to build this White House Ballroom. So that's where we're at right now. It's going to be a pretty busy week. We have major Supreme Court opinions potentially coming this Thursday, by the way. Birthright citizenship, voting rights, I mean, you name it.
