lot of people ask me if we're reaching a breaking point, if the tide is turning, if Republicans are finally breaking from the White House. And every few months we kind of see this trickle effect of some Republican speech speaking out. But now it really feels different. After two US Service members died in Jordan, several more injured following Iranian strikes on an American air base in Jordan, Republicans on Fox News are even saying, what is the point? What is the strategy anymore? Republicans are increasingly shifting away from the president on this war in Iran, heading into a midterm election cycle that is meant or could be very, very bad for them. And at the same time, a Republican senator has come out and said she will not vote for the Save America act, the marquee piece of legislation for the President of the United States, in a stunning new development. Two American service members passed away in Jordan, as you know, over the past 24 hours as a result of Iranian strikes on an American base. The strikes were previously unreported and well, I had spoken to folks on the ground in Jordan at this base who told me that it was bad, that it was very bad. One person told me, quote, I saw bodies burning, people burning. That is how bad the strike was. And well, the American media never really touched on it until Centcom released a statement yesterday saying that two service members died. And now Fox News is coming out and saying, hold up, what are we doing anymore?

This Is not right, is favorable because of, you know, the neighbors in the region not wanting an escalated war because of backroom deals that might be made that could be better for everyone. You know, things like every time we knock a drone down in Ukraine, we have to take it apart because it's different than the drone before it. So the advancing of technology and how Iran is wrapped into that when it comes to our foes like China and Russia, all kind of answers to that. People at home don't get a chance to have those answers. They don't get a chance to understand if a nuclear facility is fully decimated because you can't get to the material easy, or if it's fully decimated because you've killed all of the nuclear scientists that were using it. Those are the nuances in this that we don't get a lot on and that we don't have an opportunity to understand. What we do understand very well is when two Americans are killed by an airstrike, that most Americans sit around and say, how's that even possible? Don't we have defensive weapons? Didn't we take out their missiles? So when we talk in hyperbole and we talk in grand statements, sometimes reality hits us in the face and we lose to Americans in Jordan, where most of us thought that wasn't really on the table anymore. And when I say most of us, I mean Americans, not necessarily myself. That is the balancing act that this administration is going to have to walk if they're continuing this war. And I don't mean continuing to escalate it. I think that that's something that Iran has done. We put an MOU on the table. We put parameters in place to get away from attacking anything, and they started attacking ships. But, you know, I often say that President Trump is speak loudly and carry a big stick. And right now might be the time that the big stick part of it matters most. Because simply dropping bombs from the air isn't stopping them from doing so.

But ISIS taking, wiping out ISIS also took years. Right. And those were a completely different group of people. I mean, they were, like, out there wearing flip flops. I mean, this is the irgc.

Yeah. I think that is the question, Aisha, what is. What is the big stick? I think, you know, I think the biggest thing they could do to show they mean Business is to retract fully from all diplomatic efforts. Pull everyone back. Pull all the comms back. Be incredibly strategic, not tactical, meaning picking your targets methodically, not just a bunch of them at once. And scaring the will out of the leaders of Iran. That takes time. And time is not on our side. We're running to November right now. We're running to 2028 right now as a country. Politically, we're also running away from the gas pump. And so it takes time. It takes a little bit of leverage. And both of those things. I think the President has less and less of.

The president has less leverage. Time is not on our side. That's what's coming out of Republican headquarters right now. That's what's coming out of Fox News. It is a stunning fall from grace for the President of the United States who had everyone behind him on his Republican side at the start of this war. They were fully gung ho. Bomb the hell out of Iran. Do it, do it, do it. That's what they were telling the White House. And now, months later, after American service members are dying and the President of the United States seemingly has no way out, the question is, are we really on the right track? Are we really on the right path? And many Republicans are saying, no, no, we're not, actually. And I really think this is the break that many people have been waiting for. This is the break that may send the President into a significant minority in the House and the Senate, but it's not just traditional Republicans. On Fox, it's maga. This is Marjorie Taylor Greene. Sacrifice. What the F are you talking about? They did not willingly sacrifice themselves. They were killed because of the war you, Trump and the admin are waging on behalf of a foreign country. You mean their deaths fuel your bloodlust for a senseless war? It's people like Tim Dillon saying this.

Take a look in the White House. They have the Congress, they have the Senate. They have the Supreme Court. It is them. It is now them. I don't want to hear about the deep state anymore. You're playing me for a fool. You're playing everyone for a fool. You brought in Cash Patel, you brought in that other guy, Dan Bongino. You threw him out or he laughed, whatever. You brought in Pam Bondi and then threw her out. I'm sick of hearing about this deep state. All of these people. You have to be one of the stupidest people in the world to fall for this shit at this point. This is. You are peddling the dumbest, most like by the way. I hate to use this word, but cringe. It's literally cringe. You watch this and you go, I feel so disgusted by the fact that they think people are still gonna believe this shit. Well, it's the deep state. It's the deep state. You guys covered all this shit up.

It's pretty stunning, right? We're really seeing a major break right now. And it's not just on these podcasts and it's not just on Fox News. Here's a Republican senator saying she's voting against the Save America Act. Lisa Murkowski saying, I believe in its objectives, but it's too draconian, especially for voters in remote parts of Alaska. Save America act is dead, folks. It is dead because of this op ed.
