If we had listened to those doctors during the COVID pandemic, we would have saved potentially millions of lives. There were therapeutics out there that were working. There were doctors that were having no deaths from COVID and treating, in some cases, thousands of patients. And we weren't listening to them. Instead, we were doing the opposite. We were shutting them down. And then, Dana, the other thing that I would say is that we need to protect our constitutional rights. That that is the primary obligation.

Well, during COVID we completely dismantled our constitutional rights. We began censoring people in violation.

The COVID vaccine prevented deaths. There is data upon data upon data. Let's talk.

Good on Dana Bash for pushing back. But I want to talk about a key moment from that segment right there where RFK Jr says we have to protect constitutional rights. He's putting constitutional rights ahead of public health. Now you could have an argument over what constitutional rights he's deciding. But wearing a mask is not. You don't have a constitutional right not to wear a mask. And in fact, I mean, I think he's talking about vaccines and getting a shot. Well, vaccine mandates do not infringe on. On one's constitutional rights. Right. You can just not go to work in person. You can just not go out to restaurants, you cannot go to bars, you cannot go to sports arenas. You cannot participate in society if you don't want to get a vaccine that's going to prevent the spread of a dangerous disease. I mean, it's that simple. And ultimately it's not a violation of one's constitutional rights. Now, I will even say one part here on the constitutional right part. Courts have held time and time again that certain emergencies, public health emergencies, national security emergencies, trump certain constitutional rights. And what's interesting to me is that RFK Jr would be okay for, for example, the suspension of habeas corpus under his belief that there is a immigration emergency and that action to strip immigrants of constitutional rights is more important. Right. Taking away their constitutional rights is more important. So he'd be okay in that regard, but he wouldn't be okay with it in a public health emergency. But it gets better. This interview. I want you to listen.

Trying to find out how it interacts with people's DNA. What's predisposed to have an autistic child. Are you doing both?

[RFK Jr.]

Yeah. But you probably don't understand this because you're not a scientist, but you're not either. Genes don't cause.

Do you understand why people are not getting measles vaccines? Because they're hearing you say that it could cause changes. I'm not. It's very much related.

Show me one of the studies that's been done on the first eight. The vaccines during the first six months of life. You will not find them. The National Academy of Sciences.

So if that's the case, why are you telling people to get the measles vaccine?

Because that is one of the vaccines that has been studied.

It's the only one that has been studied.

I don't. I'm not flustered at all. I am frustrated and honest. The reason I'm frustrated is because I. You are the hhs. You are the HHS secretary, and you are talking about things that. That. That lead to vaccine hesitancy in this country. And. And it is something that causes problems for people where there is not anything.

Let me ask you something. Do you see your job as ending vaccine hesitancy, or do you see your job as telling the truth to the American people?

I see my job as telling the truth. And the truth is that there is. Is study after study after study. It's one of the most studied things out there in science.

And it's like a parrot. You're repeating like a parrot. I've actually read the science. Let's use. You don't want to hear and debate the science.

What you got to do is repeat things that people told you and say, trust the experts. That's what you did during COVID Now, we know that Andy Fauci, who was the expert, was lying about everything. About mass, about social distancing, about natural immunity, about the transmission from the vaccine, about the source of COVID He was lying, and you were punishing people for not trusting the experts. And now you're rolling.

You just said what I said was inaccurate. What I said was accurate. We had the highest death rate from COVID 19.

There are. Now, there are other countries that at higher.

But you can go ahead about why we had that, but you. Nobody can tell you. We have, as you say, we have the highest chronic disease in the world. But Nancy Fauci was mismanaging the COVID pandemic, was doing it. Under the Biden administration, President Trump wanted to end the lockdowns. In effect, in Anthony Fauci's diaries, he talks about how President Trump is calling him every day, trying to get him to reopen the country.

Yeah, well, the lockdowns were done by governors. I mean, certainly Anthony Fauci and the president had opinions, but the lockdowns were done by governors. And largely because. And largely largely because they were hearing. They were hearing from hospitals saying that their ICUs were overrun and they needed some help while that was happening.

But I want to. I want that. Just. Not true. What you're saying is not true. No, they were doing it because Anthony Foundation. Fauci was telling them from the top, you need to lock down. There were ICUs that were empty all over the country, including in New York at the height.
