It's time to talk about the truth about Mitch McConnell, the Kentucky senator who has not been seen publicly in over a month outside of one Proof of life photo that many on the Internet claim was not to be true. Mitch McConnell has not been seen on video, on camera, anywhere. And his staff now are refusing to answer any questions weeks after that proof of life image was released. And here's the big kicker. Republicans inside of the United States Senate are demanding answers now. They're demanding answers from their colleague who has not been seen, who has not been heard of in weeks. No more 20 minute phone calls, no more. Hey, just checking in. None of that. Mitch McConnell is absent. And the question is, is Mitch McConnell alive? Some people think not. I was actually by the GW Hospital where Mitch McConnell is purportedly recovering. And well, well, you could see police officers out front, you can see Capitol Police out front, but you can't get in. And all the questions that we are asking, that everyone is asking about Mitch McConnell are going unanswered. And now Republicans are saying, Mitch McConnell, your time's up. It's time to get back to the Senate and it's time to be more transparent. We're at the point now where the dam is about to break. And I have the latest for you. And alongside that proof of life image, many Republican senators and Scott Jennings, a Republican CNN commentator, all came out and said the same thing. We spoke to Mitch McConnell for about 20 minutes. He's all good. Since then, Mitch McConnell staff is refusing to answer any questions. And when confronted on Capitol Hill, they are quiet.

Do you think he's put out enough information? Some people are saying he should put put out a video. And what do you think it says about the issue of age limits? That's what people are talking about for members of Congress.

Oh, I don't know anything about McConnell's health because I know zero I'm totally in the dark. And you know, I certainly wish him well and his family. I do think that at a certain point you have an obligation to your constituents in the country to tell them what's going on, you know, so I, I can't do that for him because I have. I have zero idea. I never have had any idea about any of this health stuff. But I hope that. I hope he recovers. But I also hope that they get the transparency out there and tell people, you know, the situation. I'm a term limit guy, so I'm all for that. I mean, and I just think, listen, nothing against colleagues who are older, you know, because, you know, you could be. I can think of some colleagues who are. Chuck Grassley, for example. I mean, Chuck is 90, I think, and, you know, heck, he's. He's sharp as tack and spry and all that stuff. So that's great. But I do think there needs to be term limits. People just come and stay here forever. And I don't think that's what the founders intended. I don't think it's what people want. So I've always been a big proponent of constitutional amendment for term limits. Listen, we're to be down a vote. I mean, there's not a lot of members of the United States Senate to start with. We've got a slim majority. And so it's, it's not easy, you know, I mean, it's a very, very slender thing. So I defer to Finn on what, how he wants to manage it. But I just hear a lot from leadership that, well, we don't have the votes for this. We don't have the vote for, like, voter id. We don't have the votes for that.

so, you know, we might want to do something about that.

He's had a tough couple of years, you know, from falling, hitting the spot, these hard floors and all that.

How long do you think it would have to go on? Like how many months before you guys. More senators might call for him to make a decision on his future?

He's gonna need to come back probably before the this three week session's over with because then we're off for like five weeks and you've got coming up. Yeah, yeah, we got some. And we're gonna need him because Democrats not gonna give us any vote.

We're going to need him. He's got to come back within this next three week session. I don't think he's coming back. Not based on what I understand and not based on what Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is saying today.

There's still a lot of talk regarding Mitch Paul's absence from the United States Senate. I know this week you said that the senator should perhaps release a video or two or call into a news station. Some agree with that take. However, some are saying that the senator is owed some medical privacy. So what are your thoughts on the situation and just checking in again, have you heard from the senator since?

I have not heard one thing from Mitch McConnell or his office. And everyone deserves a level of privacy on their health. But when you take on these jobs, when you represent the people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, you give up some of that. That's just what it is. That's what comes with the territory. And when you've been in a hospital for a month and you've missed all the votes, which is your job, I mean, basically you're not able to show up for work. You owe your boss, like anybody else out there who works, an explanation of what's been going on and when you'll get back. And that's all we're asking for from the senator. You know, it's been reported that he's had 17 and 20 minute conversations with different individuals. So call into a news station for five minutes, put out a short video. And it's not just me. Thomas Massie is asking for the same thing. You know, we all want him to be okay, but when you're in these jobs and there's just this rampant speculation all over, just a little bit more to assure people would be helpful.
