Chuck Park
Have you heard about Phil Weisner in Colorado, though?
Political Advertiser
No. Is he different?
Chuck Park
Yeah. A.G. weiser sued the Trump administration 65 times. He's beating Trump in court again and again. Things like protecting Obamacare against Trump's illegal tariffs and he even won against Ticketmaster.

So he actually gets results.

Discover what BetterHelp online therapy can do for you. Visit betterhelp.com today. Good afternoon, everyone. Let's discuss the news of the day. Trump, behind the scenes is growing anxious and more and more upset over the fact that soon the public may hear recordings about Epstein, Israel and more from right inside of the Situation Room, a breach so bad that could derail the presidency. And to this day, days after we found out that recordings may exist, he is growing increasingly upset. We have details about the Iran Memorandum of Understanding. United States is set to give billions of dollars to Iran and, well, we can look at the 14 points. The reflecting pool is still struggling and more. I also speak with Chuck park, who's running for Congress in New York at the end of this video. But before I do get there, as always, like comment, share and if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support my work, I think this will be my last news report of the evening. I am truly burnt out out today. Maybe it's because of lack of sleep with the baby, but in any event, to all those who have subscribed to support my work, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. We're going to do special paid subscriber only lives this week and next week and some major deep dives coming soon. In addition, you may start seeing this pop up on the Internet. But remember the report this morning from the FBI that a number of people were arrested as part of this alleged terror attack on the UFC fight. Well, one of the people they arrested reposted a number of my content in the past and Republicans are already kind of latching on to try to attack me. So here we go again. But we won't stop, we won't fight. We're going to fight back. So if you can subscribe to Support, I want to begin by talking about the President because he's not really happy right now because remember the Maggie Haberman, Jonathan Swan issue. They obtained leaked audio, possibly from situation or meetings about Epstein, about Israel, about more and how the White House is, quote, afraid that some of their most sensitive conversations were being recorded. Yeah, well, now we're learning that President Trump is, quote, furious about the blow by blow accounts. Because the question isn't just what do they have now, but it's also what can come next. And if they really have these recordings inside the Situation Room, the most secure room in the world practically, then very well, there could be conversations in there that could ultimately completely derail the Trump term and could eventually lead to evidence being presented these recordings in an impeachment hearing later on. So the President's not happy. He's right now at the G7 in Paris. They're going to Geneva, Switzerland to sign this agreement on Friday. In any event, not great for him. And when we talk about the agreement, Al Arabia has obtained the copy of the U. S Iran Memorandum of Understanding. I want to walk through some of the points together. The first is that Iran and the United States declare upon the signing of the memorandum, understanding a permanent end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon. That's an important point because Israel continues to bomb Lebanon to this day despite the fact that Lebanon is directly involved, directly involved in the ceasefire. Next, Iran and the US Undertake to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and to refrain from interfering in each other's internal affairs. That essentially says don't spy on each other. Iran and the US Undertake to negotiate and reach a final agreement within a maximum period of 60 days. That number is fluid. Trump already said it could be longer, it could be shorter. Immediately, the United States will lift the naval blockade and prevent any interference or obstruction against Iran. That's a pretty significant development. The naval blockade has been in place now for more than a month. The US Undertakes it will withdraw its forces from surrounding areas within 30 days. It's not really clear what that means. What are surrounding areas? Right. Does that mean that we're just going to withdraw forces from in and around, right around Iran? Does that mean we're going to completely pull out of the Middle East? Not sure what that means. Here's some of the interesting stuff. The US Undertakes, together with its regional partners to create a comprehensive plan agreed by both parties for the rehabilitation and economic development of Iran, while ensuring financing of at least 300 billion. The United States spent billions of dollars in arms to destroy Iran and now is spending billions of dollars to rebuild Iran. For perspective, President Obama gave the Iran as much as this one right here. In addition, the United States commits to ending on a schedule to be agreed upon all types of sanctions against facing Iran. That's pretty big. Iran says it will never produce nuclear weapons. Iran and the US have agreed that the fate of enriched material and the fate of all other mutually agreed nuclear issues, including Iran's nuclear needs, are adequately addressed in the final agreement. There's some more information there. And then finally, the final agreement will approve through a binding resolution of the UN Security Council, which is also interesting because the United States never really lists to the Security Council. So we'll see how that goes. Now, what's an interesting point that isn't in here is the Iranian ballistic missile program. That was a big kind of sticking point for a lot of people within the Trump administration. They wanted Iran's ballistic missile program to be dismantled completely. Doesn't look like Iran is going to agree to that. And while Iran reiterates it'll never get to a nuclear weapon, it doesn't explicitly say it won't, which is very interesting here as well. It comes at a very precarious time right now for the Trump administration here at home. One of the issues that the United States spent millions of dollars on was this reflecting pool. Here's what it looks like today. Hydrogen peroxide continues to be poured in as green reflecting pool. Literally. The pool itself is greener than the due to algae than the grass around it. So we'll see how that goes. I spoke with Chuck park, who's running for congress in New York 6 congressional district. He's challenging a Democratic incumbent there. Would love for you to check it out. As always, if you can subscribe to my substack link below to support. And I'll see you soon with another update. Excited to be joined today by Chuck park, who's running for Congress in New York. Now, Chuck, I gotta ask you, if no one knows who Chuck park is, what do you tell them?
Chuck Park
I'm a Korean kid from Queens running for Congress. That's who I am. Look up. My parents immigrated to Woodside, queens under the 7 train in the 80s. Started out in this country of street peddlers, lived the American dream, worked their butts off, raised five kids, started a small business, bought a home. I grew up to become a US Diplomat under President Obama and Then I quit to protest President Trump. Now I'm running for Congress to defend that same dream. That's who I am.
Interviewer
I gotta ask you, why do you want to be in Congress? I feel like if anyone talks about DC These days, it's just a cesspool of folks who go there, stock trade, never retire, and don't actually get anything done. Why Congress?
Chuck Park
Because that's accurate and it's shameful. Right. We deserve leaders who actually will have some basic moral conviction whether it comes to leaders who aren't corrupt, who don't take money from corporate PACs, who don't do insider trading while in office. I think we deserve to have leaders that we can believe in, who'll stand up to bring accountability for the Epstein files, who'll vote against these endless wars, who will vote to abolish ice. And so I think Americans are fed up. The Democratic base is absolutely fed up with the complacency, the complacency of our leaders in Congress. And so that's why I'm running. We got to bring some, some, some faith back in our system that there are people who are ready to fight for that dream.
Interviewer
And I want to ask you a bit about some of those points, but before I do, what is the state of play look like right now in the 6th congressional district in New York?
Chuck Park
Yeah, look, the 6th district is the beating heart of Queens, New York City. The state of play is. It's a David versus Goliath story, but we know how that story ends. Look, my opponent has three, four times my money because she takes money from corporate packs, from lobbyists for a casino, from, from, from defense contracts, or from all of it. So she will always have more money than me. That said, we are absolutely beating her on the ground, and we have one week left to knock out tens of thousands of doors to win this race. Election Day in New York, the primary day is June 23rd. And from door to door to door to door, we are absolutely winning this race. You know, the conversion rate, the excitement at the doors for change, and for someone who's actually going to fight back against Trump is incredible.
Interviewer
Well, I want to talk a little bit about fighting back against Trump, and I want to start by talking about the war in Iran. Trump signed this memorandum of understanding. It's not really a deal. What's your take on right now, what we're seeing overseas and American taxpayer dollars being spent overseas?
Chuck Park
My take is this is an incredible failure by this president. He went into this war with a jumble of stated goals, whether it was a regime change. It was getting rid of the nuclear material. He hasn't achieved any of it. What he has achieved is still skyrocketing gas prices, skyrotting cost of living in the United states, and what, 50 billion wasted and counting. This all could have been avoided. If we get stuck with the plan from 10 years ago. Obama had a nuclear deal, except his nuclear deal wasn't brokered in some basement in Pakistan under Obama. We had Russia, China signed on. We had the EU signed on to enforce it. We had the UN signed on to enforce it. Iran had already started giving up their nuclear material. We had a plan that was working until Trump encouraged Republicans to oppose it. And not only that, a lot of Democrats, including my opponent, voted against their own president's nuclear deal to oppose it. And so because of that failure 10 years ago, we're at where we are today. Another failure by Trump wasting our money, increasing our prices, you know, doing horrible things in a war that we should have never been in to begin with.
Interviewer
Now, you mentioned you were a diplomat when you were under President Obama. How do you feel about the Trump administration currently gutting diplomacy? As we know, when it comes to USAID with soft power, when it comes to just the amount of diplomats in the State Department today, I think over the past year, 2000 have either been forced out or kind of told to resign in a way. How does that make you feel?
Chuck Park
It makes you feel terrible. Look, these are people I know personally, people who are just dedicated, dedicated to public service. They're not paid particularly well. The life isn't particularly glamorous. It's hard work in tough, often dangerous parts of the world. And all they're doing is trying to fight for Americans well being, believe it or not, overseas. Whether that's helping a stranded American family in some distant country, or it's fighting for American exports, making sure American businesses can prosper, or it's building goodwill, spreading American culture, American values to foreign lands. And seeing that being gutted is disappointing. We see the implications of it, the consequences. With this Ebola outbreak, you're probably tracking this, but this is the worst since 2014. Ebola is a very deadly disease, very contagious. And many of the countries that are struck by Ebola are the exact ones where USAID had had to pull out of. Many of the people living there most impacted by this epidemic are still subsisting on supplies left behind by USAID more than a year ago, whether it's food supplies, medical supplies that are rapidly dwindling because there's no more usaid. And so this is a tragedy not just for the United States. It's a tragedy for every other country in the world. And so we need to reverse it. We need to stop it. These are trusted public servants who all they want to do is help their country. And I have faith that by 2028, we can reverse the tide and rebuild our diplomatic core.
Interviewer
Now, you're running in a Democratic primary against an incumbent who does have a pretty solid Democratic voting record, just based on votes in line against Trump or with President Biden. What would you be doing differently than Congresswoman Ming?
Chuck Park
So, a few things I'll be very clear. You know, one thing I would never sign on to a Republican resolution to thank ICE and to call for more state and local cooperation with ice, which is what she did last year. Last year when deportations were already underway in New York City and across the country. I think that is disqualifying for somebody who wants to represent Queens in New York City. That's one thing I'd do differently, too. I would absolutely call vocally for a pathway to citizenship. Again, there are hundreds of thousands of undocumented people in this city. My neighbors, parents at my kids school, people in our restaurants, grocery stores, all of our businesses. These are our friends and family. And so we need to be vocal about giving them a permanent legal status. She has never done that. Lastly, look, when it comes to the operation of a political campaign, one thing that I think all Democrats should be doing differently is rejecting the corporate money, rejecting the billionaire money. I'm 100% grassroots funded. It raised almost half a million on just real life, individual human beings. My opponent, like many other complacent Democrats, takes money from big pharma, defense contractors, hospital corporations, insurance companies, local power utilities, crypto companies. I mean, I can keep going. And so I think that leads to a basic conflict of interest. It's why our politics and government has been so stuck. It's because both Democrats and Republicans are bought. And we need to change that.
Interviewer
So folks are living in the district. What do they need to know between now and Election Day?
Chuck Park
They need to know that Election day is the 23rd. They know that they can vote. Early voting is happening right now, the 23rd of June. Tuesday is election Day. They have to show up because on this ballot is ice. On this ballot is war. On this ballot is this mega casino project right here in Queens. If you don't want any of that, if you want universal healthcare, universal childcare, and true pathway to citizenship for our immigrant neighbors and friends, then you gotta vote. You gotta vote. Chuck Park.
Interviewer
Chuck park, thanks so much.

Yeah, thanks for having me on, Aaron. It's a pleasure.
