Truth Social and Trump Media are on the verge of collapse. I'm not overstating this. I'm not hyperbolizing this. They just got some of the worst news to date. We learned the new financial filings filed by Trump Media's company, the parent company to Truth Social, which is the president's favorite app. Well, they lost hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars so far this year, and it's because of ill fated ventures in cryptocurrency and elsewhere. And right now, the Truth Social platform is on the verge of collapse. People are fleeing Truth Social at a record pace. Thousands and thousands of people are no longer using Truth Social. There are less people using Truth Social today than this time last year, and the president cannot be too happy about it. And it all comes as the President is facing massive ridicule at home and abroad for being put in a shipping container hiding from Iran as he tried to get away out of Turkey. Now, I want to make a couple of things clear here. I spoke with Congressman Susie Lee from Nevada about all of this and more because I think we just reached a very critical moment in our nation's history, a moment where essentially the President of the United States is hiding from Iran and at the same time, his own business ventures, which he claims made him qualified to be President of the United States in the first place, are floundering, are failing. Right now, Truth Social is on the verge of collapse. According to new reporting and according to new financial documents, Trump Media and Technology Group, which on NASDAQ is DJT, reported a $360.6 million United States loss on its cryptocurrency holdings for the year's first half. That's from January through June. The parent company of Truth Social also reported that its bitcoin holdings shrank during the second quarter of 2026. The company, backed by Donald Trump and his family, held 9,477 bitcoin valued at 5,557.1 million dollars as of June 30. That's down from 9,542 bitcoin owned at the end of March. The company's Bitcoin holdings declined by 65 tokens in the second quarter. A big share of Trump Media's bitcoin was pledged as collateral, with over 4,000 bitcoin pledged against convertible notes and another 2,000 or so tokens pledged for bitcoin operations strategy. In all, Trump Media and Technology Group reported A net loss of US$238 million for its fiscal quarter in 2026. That is significant. That is significant. A 200 plus million dollar loss for Trump Media and Technology company. And when you look at the stock for the company, it is not great either. On Wednesday, August 5th, just six days ago we were at $10. Today we're at about $9.10. That's a big decrease for a stock worth so little. It's about a 10% loss because of where we're at regarding the financial holdings of Trump Media. But when you look at Trump Media stock holdings over the past five years, or really over the past four years since its inception, it paints an even grimmer picture. At its inception, Trump Media was well above $80 at a point sometimes around 40, 50, 60, 70, $80. Today that graph just continues to fall. It continues to flounder. Over the past four years, Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. Stock has tanked, tanked substantially. And also, what are they going to do to try to fix it, to try to turn this company around? Well, I don't think they'll be able to, but they're going to try. And the way they're going to try to do that is by selling new access or early access to the President's Truth Social posts to folks on Wall Street. Okay, so what they're asking for is for people to pay anywhere from $60,000 to $100,000 a month for real time access from top Truth social accounts. More than 10 customers have signed up for its Truth API service. So about they're making about a million dollars a month now for folks to get early access to Trump's tweets, which many people say is just insider trading exemplified. Right. They're getting early access to what the President of the United States is going to say to move the markets. Now, right now the President is in hiding. Literally. There are images like this across the Internet. This is obviously a fake image, but people are ridiculing the President for hiding in a shipping container, in this catering container to get away from an attack on Iran. And while there's always a tweet, he said, Kamala Harris is hiding Harris. Well, Vice President Harris never hid inside a catering truck. Now I spoke with Congresswoman Susie Lee about all this and more. But before I do, a lot of people right now are worried about healthcare prices. Congresswoman, I gotta jump right in and ask you, I don't know if you saw, but Donald Trump, according to the Washington Post, was facing a possible Iranian assassination plot, was put in an air airport or aircraft catering truck and kind of just hid away from the press, the public, everyone involved. And we're just learning about this months later. What's your reaction to that reporting?

Well, first of all, let's just talk about the plane that was donated to him by Qatar that he flew to Turkey with $400 million of Americans taxpayer money being spent to refurbish it. And clearly it wasn't secure enough to get him home. And so but the fact that his location had been kept secret from the American public, even members of his own administration, for hours is deeply concerning to all of us.

Now, you are in the United States House of Representatives. When we go to war, typically you are required to vote to authorize sending America's troops overseas. Your opponent recently came out and said that he would in a heartbeat authorize this war. Will he even have the opportunity to authorize the war? I feel like they're not even coming to you all.

Well, listen, you know, we did pass the War Powers Resolution. However, I, I highly doubt that this administration will come to Congress to get authorization. But it's pretty clear that my opponent, Marty o', Donnell, you know, he, he campaigned before he even entered the race. He basically begged Trump for his endorsement and said that he would be a reinforcement for the president. So clearly, this is a guy that's never going to stand up to this president, even in opposing this very unpopular and very costly war in Iran. You know, since the war has begun. I mean, people have seen their gas prices almost double here in Nevada. I think we're pushing almost $5 a gallon for gasoline, not to mention all the additional costs associated with the restriction in travel in the Strait of Hormuz and what that's doing to products across the world.

So I wanted to ask you, how has the war specifically impacted residents in your district right now?

Well, listen, it's not just the war. I mean, clearly you're seeing the increased gas prices having a direct, you know, immediate, immediate and direct impact. But it's also this president's policies of tariffs that have increased costs. I mean, and not to mention the one big beautiful bill and all of the cuts to Medicaid and snap and you know, my residents in Nevada have seen their costs go up about $3,300 a year ever since this president took office. And this is just, it's a conglomeration of all of the unpopular moves that he has made that literally, it's just one thing after another. Whether you're talking about rolling back the ACA tax credits, that doesn't just impact the 22 million Americans who rely on those for affordable health care. It impacts everyone. Because many of those people, and especially people who now get thrown off of Medicaid because they didn't sign up for it in the six month iteration, they're going to show up in our emergency rooms for costly care. They're not going to be uninsured, they're going to forego insurance. Because, you know, like my guest for the State of the Union address, Katie, a single mother, she saw her health insurance go from $85 a month to 750. When you're on an $80,000 income, that cost is just unbearable. So people like Katie may make the decision to go without insurance and then we all end up paying for it. So my constituents, I have never seen such despair as I am seeing across. It doesn't matter what economic status that they just feel like, you know, they feel like they got one step forward and two steps back. It's, you know, their health insurance going up, their gas is going up, their utility costs are going up, obviously rents, I mean, you name it. And people just are feeling like, I just want, I just want a break. And I want people who are going to fight to lower my costs. And they're seeing a president who is more fixated on his arch, his plane, you know, the reflecting pool in Washington refurbishing all of Washington, D.C. and not worried about bringing down their costs. I mean, in fact, he sat on the housing bill and didn't sign it. I mean, this is like the, you know, one example when Congress actually got something done that helps people bring down costs. And he's like, I'm not going to sign this because I want the Save America act to be attached to it. So it's very clear where his, his priorities lie. And most importantly, the thing that's scary for my constituents is the guy who's running against me. Marty o' Donnell will literally sit by and allow Trump to continue to do the things that he has done to raise costs for my constituents.

Now, right now, you're running in a very hotly contested seat. Republicans are targeting you to try to flip this seat in November. Overnight, the president refused to rule out a declaring a national emergency to essentially try to seize control of elections from states across the country. It comes after his Oval Office address or White House address where he tried to say China is playing a part in meddling in America's elections. Are you at all concerned about the November midterm elections and what the president can and will try to do?

Oh, hell yeah. I mean, I think we all, I think every American should be incredibly concerned that this president's going to do whatever it takes to basically, I'm just going to say corrupt the election. And so the Democratic Party better be completely and fully prepared. I know that we are preparing for every type of contingency. You know, we have to remember the American public needs to remember that elections reside within the state's authority. And to have a president threatening to basically take over our country's elections is really putting us, you know, on the verge of not on the, you know, at the doorstep of authoritarianism. And every American should be incredibly alarmed. And I know that we within the Democratic Party are working every legal channel. And I know, and honestly, at the, at some point, I hope some Republicans stand up, too, and understand that this is our Constitution and our democracy at stake.

Well, I want to ask you because specifically, Nevada historically counts ballots. It takes a little longer to count balance in your state. And we've seen in the past, for example, recently, your Senator, Catherine Cortez Masto was down initially against Adam Laxalt, and then as ballots came in, she surpassed him and won her election in a very tight contest. Are you concerned with the Republican governor right now who has Trump's endorsement campaigns with Trump, that he may just allow Trump to come on into Nevada?

Listen, we do have a Democratic Secretary of State, Cisco Aguilar, who has been incredible and his team has been incredible in safeguarding our elections and making sure they're run fairly and hopefully we will get the count out a little sooner. You know, Catherine Cortez, master, what happened there? Obviously you have a longer time in counting the mail in ballots and that's where you saw her make up the difference in the final days of that race. And so listen, I, you know, I'm never going to say never on what this president will attempt to do when it comes to rigging elections. I hope that our governor, we'll stand up to that. But I know that we have a backstop with our Democratic Attorney General, Aaron Ford, who actually is running for governor, and of course, Cisco Aguilar. But most importantly, I think the people of Nevada would rise up and vehemently oppose any attempt to overturn our elections.

You mentioned earlier that right now Congress doesn't get much done outside of that housing bill. If Democrats were to win in November and say take over the House of Representatives, the Senate or both, you're still gonna have a Republican president in the White House with veto power and you're not gonna have a veto proof majority, no matter how much you may want that. How do you get anything done? And what does a Democratic led house look like in terms of policy, in terms of potential investigations with a Republican in the White House?

Listen, I think that when we do win the House, because I'm confident that the American public does want change in Washington. They've seen Republicans literally lay down and not oppose anything this president's doing. And they want to have some form of backstop to these crazy policies that are making their life completely unaffordable. I think Democrats will have a mission and the message will be clear that Americans are trusting Democrats with the economy first and foremost. We're going to have to come to some agreement on the ACA tax subsidies that were eliminated, continue our work on making housing more affordable. And you know, I do think that there are areas where we could work with this president. Child care, for instance. I mean, in the state of Nevada, it costs, it costs families more to send their children to child care for their three and four year olds than it does to college. And so that to me, I think is an area where we could find some common ground. And then again, you know, with respect to housing, I know that there's some movement on permitting reform, which is incredibly important in the state of Nevada, where close to 80% of our land is federally controlled. And so, you know, the one thing that's holding up the permitting reform is, is that Secretary Burgum and the secretary of the Interior instituted a role that basically said if you're solar or wind energy project, you have to get permitted and approved personally by him in his office. What that has done is it has held up significant investment in significant projects in solar energy here in the state of Nevada. And really it's a job killer. And so, you know, that's going to be an important thing to make sure that one we move forward. And get these. When you talk about bringing down the cost of energy, especially in a state where solar is abundant, this is the way to do it. And so I think we're going to have to really make some progress on that. And of course, if you do some reasonable permitting reform and it will help in making sure that you can transition some of that federal land into being available for affordable housing. So I think there's some opportunities to get some things done. Even despite the fact that Donald Trump will still be president.
