Hello beautiful people and welcome to our humble abode. The Thunderdome on this feel good. Friday, May 8, 2026 this sports program begins now. Sports are the greatest. We're so incredibly lucky that we get a chance to chat about them every single day. We hope you have had a fantastic week and I hope you're ready for the greatest weekend of your life. Why? Because it's the next one. Let's go ahead and enjoy the hell out of it. Sports are going to deliver for us all weekend just like they have all week. We'll have a couple recaps of the things that we like this week and the things that we thought were hilarious. This. We'll also chit chat about things that happened last night in sports world. Just know this, these Caniacs, okay, on a little bit of a run right now in the NHL. Feels like there might be a Carolina Colorado collision coming for the Cup. In just a matter of weeks, Hurricanes beat the Flyers 4 to 1. They have now won seven straight to start this particular playoffs. It's a special story in a special town with a special fan base that's excited to maybe lose their mind at a Stanley cup dream. Now how it all bode? We shall see. The Buffalo Sabres obviously have some things to say about that. Same with the Canadians. And in the west, it feels like the Avalanche are for real. But if you look at this hurricane steam, you think to yourself, well, they certainly got the talent, they certainly got the run. Do they have the gritness? Do they have the toughness? Do they have the togetherness? Well, let's just go to the end of the game, shall we? Let's go ahead and just see four one here. Time's running out. It's hockey though. Okay, up there, up on the boards there, about the middle of the screen there, maybe a little bit to the right. That's. Thank you, Evan. He's five, five foot eight guys by his third year playing for the Hurricanes. He led the Carolina Hurricanes in points in the first round of the playoffs. Number 55, Big Rossmus, Reese de Line and 6 foot 4, 205 go and shoots him. Then seller greens in. No, we're fighting actually. So St. Kevin was just standing there. Then six foot five guy comes over. Boom. Hits him and seller guy grabs him. No, you're actually worth fighting. Yeah, you think you're going to win 4:1 and nothing's going to happen. Now let's look to the left here. Okay, let's look to the left. Over here you have Shane Gost
B
who
A
played for the Flyers for a long time. Okay. Now he's tangling it up with big 55. Okay, big 55 because he just got into it. He had to grab somebody. Seller picked up his fight. They start fighting on the left side. This guy said, hey, we're done, we're good, everybody's good. Sellers trying to get some shots back. Stank Coven's like, you know what, you could just buy me like this. And then we got a Jake Snake ddt. Boom at the very end. Eat some ice. Okay. So I'm just talking about, okay. Old buddy Gastaspear came in, stuck up for his teammate.
C
Yeah.
A
Stankhoven, five foot eight, okay. Getting bodied there by six foot four guy. And then passed off to seller who jumps in and forces him to fight. You saw at the very end of that, Stankhoven throwing lefts. At the end we got Jake the Snake Roberts. Ddts happen. It feels like the Canes, huh?
D
Yeah.
A
Flyers are big, strong, tough, bully teams. Physical team. The Hurricanes, I think they're talented and obviously these boys are ready to brawl. I think that's what I saw after the as the game was ending. And anytime you get a chance to see one of these in real life, you know that boom could be dead. Uh huh. So we have no idea what the state of Rasmussen is after. His head obviously bounced off the ice there. But I like the Hurricanes a lot. I like the NHL and then in the NBA, Stuns continue to do what the Stones are doing. Yeah, the Stones, the Ston's, the Pistons. And we learned that it's mostly the what up there in Michigan saying it makes a lot of sense from areas that aren't necessarily Detroit on the Internet. But the Stones and the Detroit Pistons win again. Story of that one, James Harden's not good at basketball in the playoffs. What's the deal? We'll ask Kendrick Perkins here in a matter of moments. I'm sure he's going to have a lot of thoughts on that. And then last night Also, big story. LeBron and the Lakers are getting screwed by the refs. What? It's rigged against the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James for Oklahoma City. Big City OKC, Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James. It's rigged against them for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now if this was to be rigged in that fashion, I'd like to say to Adam Silver, congratulations on like rigging something for a small town that's good for sports.
E
First time ever.
A
That's good for sports and the Oklahoma City people deserve it. We've seen them show up in a massive way. Obviously there's like a 30 for 30 about how great they are as a fan base. And the Pacers fans and the Oklahoma City fans got a chance to really experience a great run there in the finals last year. But if they were rigging this for the Oklahoma City Thunder, that would be awesome. Just like that never happens seemingly to the small towns and the small fan bases and everything like that. But it certainly does look like this Oklahoma City team every time they play. There's a question on what's going on with the refs.
E
Yeah.
A
And it's not just fans saying this now. It's actual coaches and players coming out being like, hey, this is what it is. They're cutting back clips of people and they're having lip readers say this shit is whenever they're playing against the Oklahoma City team, are they better at getting fouls than everybody else? Are they better at embellishing it? Or do the refs like the small town story just naturally and all of a sudden they're starting to give it up for these guys. We'll ask Perkins about it all. It is a hot conversation in the streets. Speaking of hot conversation in the streets, Congratulations. Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Wow. Take a trip down memory lane. Talks to tables here at Boston Conner and one half of the Hammer Dad Cowboys, AP town. We watch that, we turn it on. It was appointment television shout out to both of them kind of going in there. It was a nice tell of tape there. Like the last 16 years, a lot of people have been trying to kind of emulate either Stephen A or Skip Bayless or both of them at the same time. A lot of shows, a lot of sports media personalities, and obviously whenever two master debaters. Master debate against each other right in each other's faces.
D
Yeah.
A
You know, you can get some really magical moments in there. They certainly created a lot of those throughout the times. There's a lot of people chasing those. I think there have become great debaters in sports television that aren't named Stephen A and Skip. But I think those two were so good at what they did back in the day in 2012, 14 years ago, that everybody else thought that was the only way to do sports television. So getting them back in the same room earlier, that was a good time.
D
Great time.
A
Let's get Bayless through some heat. Los Angeles fakers got him. Yeah. And they'll smoke you with pot.
E
Yeah.
A
Points off turnover.
D
I believe he also said playoff P, but he spelled it P, E, E.
A
Oh, it was good to S. E E, those two on my tv.
D
I will say it was good to see that because I forgot it. I was taking notes the entire time. So be prepared for a good show.
A
Yeah, be prepared for a good show. It was fun, man. Good for them. Hey, congratulations to you two old legends, man. Good run, you guys. Did it change the entire course of sports media television? And in doing so, obviously, I think both lived great lives, I think from my understanding, and also influenced sports. So good for them. I hope they had a great time and I hope the catching up was fun too. You know, anytime you don't really talk to somebody and maybe there's potential fallout or anything, animosity, nice for them to catch up and fun. Good for sport. Joining us now live from an attic in Ohio is a man who's a college football national champion, super bowl champion. I'm surprised we got him this early. Yeah, I thought he'd be scrolling those files that were just released.
C
He probably already did.
A
Ladies and gentlemen, AJ Hawk Standing. Those alien files.
C
Yeah, I mean, has anything new come out? Have you checked them out, like, in depth? I haven't seen anything new.
A
So what I found my. Because I've been eagerly awaiting this day for a long time. I think anybody that knows me knows that this is probably the one thing I've been thinking about, you know, from the beginning and openly talking about just wondering as somebody that did a lot of moon watching, you know, somebody didn't fall asleep much, was just looking up, just always wondered and obviously certainly had an open mind. And then you hear some people talking, it's like, okay, let's go. Let's go ahead and do this. And then to think we're alone in this whole thing would be crazy. It'd be crazy just with it, with how big it is. But if we weren't alone, that would obviously have to change. A lot of opinions and thoughts and religions potentially, and like, you know, everything in the world. So such a hot, such an awesome topic. I think just to kind of visualize from all different angles. And then when you run into somebody and they're like, I saw ufo, it's all gonna get chased us all thing, it's like, why would you lie to me? I don't know why you would lie to me.
E
Yeah.
A
Feels like you have a pretty important title. You're not a complete whack job. And then, you know, the Internet kind of does what the Internet does. And now you don't know what's fake and what is real. And then they put out this entire UAP on I dare. Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon files out. It's like, okay, what's real in that? What now? Who's gonna go. Joe Rogan's going through. Who's going through this to tell me what is real?
C
What's inside those craft? What's inside the craft that we see on the video? What? That's what I want to see. Like, show me what's inside.
A
Yeah. What if. What if we get a look inside and actually just like it's been right in front of our faces. There's 45 Wembies just in a bunch of these things.
E
Yeah.
A
Just kind of waiting to come down and just do whatever. What if he is an actual. His symbol is an alien. We've been watching him. He has to be guys hanging with monks and Kevin Garnett graphic and his logo is an alien head. What if in these files inside one of these things that they're showing us floating around in the United Arab Emirates over there by the nuclear facilities, all that type of stuff. What if inside is just a bunch of little baby. Little. Little Wendy's and they're just training their hands, training their feet, doing all that, and then they grow. What if the other one is just a bunch of little Elon Musk? Yeah. We're never going to know.
E
It's possible.
A
Well, we're never going to know unless who tells us.
D
I have a good idea.
A
Who's the guy from Blink 182?
C
Yep. He is.
A
Tom Delong. We need Tom Delonge to get in there and tell us if Wen Big is a part of these files. Please.
E
Sir.
A
If I was R2, we need his ass in there.
D
If I were President Trump on June or July, whenever it is, I would trot two of these things out for the UFC and co main event at the White House. Yes.
A
Maybe they've already been trained.
D
That would break everything.
A
Yeah. Maybe that's what this is all lead up to. Somebody has to go through those files. But also somebody needs to talk about sports and how the aliens will affect sport. And we will always be the ones to do that. Right, A.J. haven't we been pretty clear about this?
C
Yeah. From the jump. We have always said we will be that show.
A
And if. I will say if these aliens start to think they're tough. Remember, ain't none of them could be any of us in an Oklahoma drill.
E
No way.
A
So if we need to alpha these things.
C
Look at their baby little necks. Come on now.
A
Snapping them.
C
Could you imagine with your cobra seven inches around? Oh, yeah. Head and hands all day long on those guys.
A
Boom.
F
And.
A
And I think about just like, especially you with the way you were built. Like, think about the leverage we'll have on these things. Whether they're little tiny things or if they grow into their full size. They don't fucking get gravity. They're coming from a place that doesn't have wrong arm.
G
Right.
D
They can't set an edge.
A
No way.
D
Good luck.
A
And I had an affliction shirt. I could arm bar one of these things if I had to at one point.
E
Chokehold.
A
Right age.
C
Yeah. I mean, I cannot wait to see the first time that we have an encounter with a true alien and someone like Brock Lesnar chokes him out.
A
Yes. That's what I'm saying. That's. We have representatives I think, that we can send out there that will protect us. Now, if something in these files tells us we need to be worried a little bit, I would like to know. Somebody needs to go through these things. Okay? Somebody needs to let me know what I need to know. Now, that's part of the problem.
E
Yeah, exactly.
A
That's part of. Because now who's gatekeeping information. That's already been how it is.
D
There are a lot of issues here.
A
All right. I'm reading them this weekend.
E
Here we go.
C
Okay.
A
Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is a man who. I mean, hell, he probably knows more than we do about this entire thing because it feels like his league that he played in for 15 years filled with aliens.
D
Yeah.
A
All over the place. Yeah. Who knows? Straight out of high school, this guy, Big. Big boy. NBA champ. This guy. ESPN basketball pundit all day, every day during the NBA, ladies and gentlemen. Big perk.
E
Yeah.
C
Big per.
A
How you doing, Perk.
F
Yo. What up, what up, what up?
A
Anything about the UFO files? You think any. What if Wemby actually did pop out of one of those things and they got a file out of that thing? We don't know.
F
I'm trying to. I'm trying to. I was just listening. I got to catch up on all this, you know? I mean, I'm tunnel vision right now. Nothing in the outside world matters to me. Football,
G
I love that.
A
That's actually. Outside world. Yeah, actually. Yeah. I respect that kind of. Unless they're in our oceans inside of us, which is also part of the conversation, which you could. You'll dive into if you were to catch up. It's going to take a while. I think you should wait till after the playoffs. Let's talk about the playoffs. Oklahoma City team cheats. Oklahoma City team just Cheats all the time. The refs. The refs are rigging these games for them to win, to get more fouls. And last night, it did feel as if it was a showcase of being pissed off about the refs from the Lakers. Now, J.J. redick, former player, former fiery player. I think him being a head coach certainly doesn't help the fact that, you know, he probably operates a little bit differently with the refs, and maybe some other head coaches would to come up through the coaching ranks in a different fashion. I think he's a little bit more comfortable with knowing who they are, but it was certainly a display of, hey, you guys are ass. And then Austin Reeves afterwards, they circle these refs. Don't let them leave.
E
Yeah.
A
And say, hey, we got more to say to you, actually, before you get out of here. This felt like. Yeah, this felt like a really big deal to me. Perk. How did you view it all? And why is this always the conversation around these Oklahoma City Thunder teams?
F
Well, well, number one, let me say this. I love when jj, those. Those temper tantrums on the sideline, those are the classic moments. If we up a top 10 of JJ rants and his temper tantra moments, that would be great. Okay, that's number one. Number two, we have a problem. We have a serious problem right now. And that game last night highlighted it. You know, I believe that Adam. You know, I love Adam Silva. I think he's the best commissioner in sports. I love that. You know, he's a man of the people. And with that being said, he's going to have to listen to the people. They have a lot of upset fans that are on the Internet that were watching the game, that didn't like the way that that game was called last night. And I'm gonna be honest with you, I didn't like it either. Matter of fact, I hated it. Every single moment of it. It was nothing but complaining. It was a lot of flopping going on. It was a lot of no calls. And here's the thing, right? When you get players, and this has been a trend throughout the postseason, calling out officiating, you have to address it. And it's not just addressing the players with fines. That's one thing. But the officials got to have some level of accountability. And also, you don't want to get to the point where fans are sitting up here talking about the game is rigged, because we do have to take in mind that what's one of the biggest, you know, things that make the biggest money makers out there.
A
Yeah.
F
Betting Sports betting. So we don't want to start messing and, and having fans thinking that it's something going on with the integrity of the game. So you got to clean up this flopping nonsense. You have to clean it up. Last night, I thought it was extremely bad. I thought OKC all across the board, this was one of their worst moments, in my opinion. You know how I feel about okc, you know how I feel about Shay, but damn it, I gotta call it like I see it. It's facts over feelings.
A
Carry on. Kendrick Perkins. Carry on. How long do you think it takes to change that type of basketball? If it means anything? Because I remember there was a time not too long ago where the flopping was outrageous. I think, like, I think he got really, really bad. And I always point back to, like, watching James Harden. That's like kind of my first thoughts of it because of how good he was at it all. And then it kind of exploded. It felt like. Then we played in, like an international tournament.
D
Yeah.
A
And we got our asses kicked. I. It was a FEBA thing, I think, where they weren't calling stuff and we just, like, got our escape. Then it felt like the game changed a little bit, back to a more physical style with the less theatrics. Is that an accurate depiction over the last few years? And how do you stop it? How legitimately, how. How long does it take to kind of stop?
F
Well, you. You got to get back to enforcing the rule of finding guys for flopping. Because let's be real, let's call it. Let's call it how it is. Marcus Smart, LeBron James, SGA, Luke Dort, some moments, even chat. Last night, all of those guys didn't have moments of flopping. And so to me, when you talk about how do you fix it? The only way to fix it is for the NBA to do more work. Meaning that, hey, man, we got to get back to finding guys and put something in place for. For flopping. We used to have that. They kind of went away from that a lot over the, what, last three, four years. But when you get back to that moment of you're gonna find guys for flopping, then you clean up the game. I'm an old school type guy. I want to see physicality.
A
Yeah.
F
You know, I want to see guys get it, get it in the mud, get it in the trenches. Earn not given. Right. And so again, again, the only way to clean it up is that the league is going to have to do more work, meaning that they're going to have to take a deeper dive into this. Put the fines back in place for flopping, and I think it will work.
A
God, A.J.
C
yeah.
G
Perk.
C
We heard J.J. after the game talk about LeBron being, you know, so big and physical. He may be penalized at times because he is so big. And he did mention some younger guy or smaller guys, I should say, have theatrics at times on the court. Do you think LeBron, is that a situation? Like, is that real because he is so big and dominant, he may not get the fouls that he should.
F
Well, no. You know what? You know what LeBron is experiencing? He's experiencing, you know, the. The. The. The old. The old guy. Right? And when I say the old guy, I played with a lot of hall of Famers. I played with, you know, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, kg, and I started to see the same trend with them when they was on their way out the league. Like, as you tend to get older, you know, in Those, you know, 16 to 20 years played in the NBA, you don't start to get those. You don't get those calls you used to get when you was in your prime. That's just part of it. KG used to be mad. Paul Pierce used to be mad. And they used to say, oh, these young guys getting it. We see it. We see it. Yeah. And if you go and look at the history of the game, as guys got older, they wasn't getting those quote, unquote, superstar calls that they used to get when they was in a, you know, late 20s, early 30s. That's just part of it. It's part of the process.
A
So it's part of the league saying, hey, it's not your league no more, kid.
E
Okay.
A
Yeah. Watch what it's like to be the sixth guy. Yeah. And you're out of here. That's what this is like all of a sudden. LeBron, we appreciate your service to the league, though.
E
Keep going.
F
Absolutely.
A
And on that note, you ain't getting. You're currently nobody else on the team is when Luca gets back. Luca will get calls. Okay? So you just need that hamstring or whatever to heal as quickly as possible. Okay. Let's stay in the old man conversation, shall we? James Harden, Okay? Everybody says what they're saying. I love. I love James Harden.
F
Me, too.
A
Okay. I don't know him personally. I only know him from outside, looking in from his life, every moment that he has, basically that he's documented and gone viral. I've seen and appreciated everything from being in a sprinter, vet with the Christmas gifts Or the gifts whenever they said he was £400 to everything with. You know, him in France at the. The fashion show, his lady getting the
E
bouquet of flowers at the wedding.
A
Yeah, yeah. Everything about him. Okay. They're throwing a lot of numbers at me saying he's ass in the playoffs. Like, people are throwing a lot of numbers at me right now. So super stats people are telling me that this guy sucks in the playoffs, and I don't like it because I'd like to see James Harden go crazy. What's that?
E
Well, and just. Just to clarify on that stat, okay, Bob Cousy was basically the only one shooting the ball for the Celtics. All right? So let's not.
A
Well, hold on.
E
Shade towards him. Okay?
A
Okay. And before we get to James Harden, I guess we should talk about how sometimes there are some ricochet shots that do get taken whenever stats are getting dropped. Yeah, Perk has it. How's the week been? Have you been okay? Your name's getting thrown stat conversations. You don't even have a microphone in front of you at the time.
F
That's what I'm saying. I'm catching strays and I'm like, okay, cool, whatever, man. You know what I mean? I'm glad. Hey, you know what? I'm glad I'm on a mind. I'm living rent free. That's all I can say.
A
Well, certainly in the history books, and it should be that way forever with you. But let's get back to James Harden. They're throwing a lot of numbers at me, telling me he's ass in the playoffs. Why is that? Is it because, like, defenses are preparing for him? Maybe the. Why do you think he does see the downfall a little bit in the playoff time as opposed to regular season? And stones is this team, the Pistons, are they stoppable at this point with figuring out how to play basically, again?
F
So let me say this. You have guys that are built for 82 games, and you have guys that are built for 16 games for the postseason. And the postseason is going to expose those guys who heart pumps Kool Aid and who hearts pump blood. And right now with James Harden, his heart is pumping Kool Aid. And look, it's not. It's not really a knock on him. I think James Harden is past his prime. The person that I'm pissed off at the most is Kenny Atkinson. Because my thing is, at this point, why are you not putting the team first? And when I say putting the team first, if James Harden has been horrible over, I think, what, the last four or five Games straight. He's been horrible with his turnovers and everything. Defensively, all that. At some point, you have to make a business decision and do what's best for the team. At some point, you have to take him out of the starting lineup and put in one of those dogs that you have on the bench. Whether that's Dennis Schroeder, Tyson Ellis, Max Stru. Like you can. You can't continue to do a disservice to the ball club because you're saying, and this is his quotes after the game, I take full blame for it because I didn't get my future hall of Famer, my hall of Famer enough shots, meaning James Harden in the fourth quarter. And I'm sitting up here saying to myself, kenny, you and I must be watching two different games. Because it wasn't about James Harden being able to get shots in the fourth quarter. It's about him being a defensive liability. It's about him turning the ball over. And these are careless third, fourth grade turnovers. This is not like it's forced turnovers. These are careless turnovers. Turnovers that, that you look and you say, well, what the hell was that? So again, you're down O2. You know that physicality matters. You see that the others, outside of K. Cuddingham, Tobias Harris, he has been having in his damn way since this series started. Jenkins is coming alive. Duncan Robinson is flat out balling. And not just a shooter, by the way. Duncan Robinson is a damn good basketball player. Let me state that right now. So you see that happening, but you steady riding with James Harden, and I'm sitting up here saying, do we got secrets on your ass or something? Put his ass on the bench.
A
Okay, I understand what you're saying because he's obviously not performing to the level that the team deserves or he should be playing at. But do we know if he can still go for like 35, 40 at this stage? Cuz obviously he was with the Clippers for a while, right? Then the Rockets, and then there was the.
E
The Nets, Sixers and Nets.
A
Yeah. So, like, I feel like we have followed along with James Harden, and I always just expect James Harden to do James Harden stuff. I think I saw him the other night go off a little bit, but it's like, are we expecting him to go for like 30 one night out of nowhere?
F
No, no. But we're not expecting him to turn over the damn basketball at the rate that he's turning it over. Look, he's not the first option on this team. He's not the second option on this team. And a lot of times he might not even be the third option. I understand that. I'm not sitting up here saying that he should be a focal point or I expect him to go for those type of numbers. What I'm telling you is, Pat, he's been more of a liability than he is. Than he is a help. And at some point, Kenny Atkinson has to make that decision and say, I'm not saying bench him. I'm saying, hey, man, he needs to be playing limited. Bendis off the bench as a roll guy, as a bench player, not starters, minutes. And I'm gonna say this, too. I be damn if we're going to end this conversation and I'm gonna let Evan Mobley off the hook. I be damn like former defensive player of the year.
A
You.
F
You finished the game. You finished the game with one rebound in the series that, you know, you gotta come with a certain level of physicality. Can't have it unacceptable. And look, I don't want to hear. I know it's been a lot of complaints. He needs to get the ball more. He needs to get more shot attempts. But it's not all about scoring when you can impact the game. Wemby has showed us that. Wemby put on one of the greatest performances defensively that we've seen probably in our lifetime. So Evan Mobley, it's other ways to impact the damn game. Now it's on Coach Atkinson to get you the damn ball in position where you need to score. But finished in the game with one rebound. I could go get two rebounds right now. I know that much.
A
Well, is that because you got the Dennis Rodman eyes? It's going here, but if I was
F
staying, I would stay on one side of the floor.
B
Sure.
F
I ain't saying I'm gonna run up and down, but I know when they come down, I'd be able to get two rebounds.
A
And you're guessing what side person's gonna miss to. Is that also. Is that a big part of this? You're gonna let a couple go, they're on the other side of the rim. Right. You're just hoping.
F
No, it's about when you in the trenches. It's. It's about elbows, positioning, and who wanted the most, like you. It got to be a mentality. And that 7:1 with that type of athleticism, it's unacceptable for him to have one rebound coming in a playoff game.
A
Get your base down there. We need elbows, we need jabbing, we need. Bar it. We need a little Bit of this box out. We need to. We need to read on the ball. Oh, it's in. Fight. That's short. Let me go ahead. Oh, that one's going long.
C
Boom.
E
Dive.
A
Let's go ahead. Let's get some.
F
Let's do it.
A
Mobley, come on. Sick of my guy. James Harden's getting murdered right now.
D
Deservedly.
A
Mobley needs to a little bit more of this.
D
Agreed. The whole team.
F
He's the most important player.
D
There's a video fighting over screens and other. Other teammates not being happy about it.
A
Oh, I saw that. On the defensive side, there was just a full disgusting. I. I didn't like that either, Kirk.
F
Well, I mean, hey, listen, the one thing Donovan Mitchell talking about, what he said is no pressure, nothing like that. He don't feel pressure. You. You need to. And if I'm his teammate. If. If I'm his teammate, I don't want to hear that. I don't want to hear that because then it. It shows signs to me that you don't care. You should want to embrace the pressure because pressure comes with you having to perform. And if you do your damn job and play at all NBA level consistently, that means you're going to get wins.
D
And.
F
And I came into this season, into this playoffs and these playoffs, saying that the Cavs were under the most pressure. And coming into the playoffs, Donovan Mitchell was under the most pressure as any other player in the NBA coming into this postseason. A Donovan Mitchell led team has never been to a conference finals. A Donovan Mitchell led team has never been to a conference finals. That is a bad indictment on him, and he has to get it done. With the east being as wide open as it is, you look on paper, and I'm not saying this is no disrespect to the number one Detroit bad boys, the Pistons, where they call themselves the nasty boys. But if you look on paper and you say just going off, who by name, who has the most talent, you will say it favors the Cavs. But when they get between the lines, I see otherwise.
A
All right, so you think that Donovan Mitchell should take his team this year to a conference championship and maybe even a finals this year.
F
If he don't, it's another failed season and it's another huge disappointment.
A
I understand. I understand. Hey, that's the pressure that I think he is a nameless, faceless opponent guy. I think that's why he says everything's the same. I think that might be that I don't feel pressure because, you know, every day is the same. Every Game's the same. That is how he performs. I don't think you like that just by the look you were given there.
F
I don't, I don't pat. I don't pat. I. I want a guy that. That embraced that. Like, I want a guy that want that. Like. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like it's supposed to be. Let me tell you something. When you trying to win a championship and you trying to make a deep run in the post season, damn it, you supposed to have a lot of sleepless nights. You supposed to be stressed out, you supposed to be angry. You supposed to not want to deal with the outside world. It's a lot of stuff comes with. With trying to win a championship, damn it. When you finish, it's a reason why you see guys falling to their knees, crying, popping the bottles of champagne. Because it's a grind. It's a process. The only thing that matters is the guys in the locker room. It's a mentality. You got to have that dog mentality. You gotta want it.
A
What's going. I usually. I don't want to run through a wall for Kendrick Perkins. Hell yeah. That is.
F
Look, it gotta. It gotta be. It gotta be in you, not on you.
D
Hell yeah, perk.
A
And some say you're born true with it either in or on, pal. You know, that's what they say. But I've met a couple of the nameless, faceless opponent people who are super hippie that have become killers. But usually everybody that's a killer is exactly who you think they are.
C
Yeah.
A
And they go, is that right there what you just said? You know, Peyton Manning still is a psycho. That guy was an absolute psychopath. It is in a good way. These are good things. Nelly Corda, who might go down as the best LPGA golfer, she said the other day, I'm a psycho. You know, you watch the Last Dance with Michael Jordan, Psycho. LeBron James is 41 Psycho. Wayne Gretzky, psycho. Serena Williams, psycho. Tiger psycho. That. That is kind of what. And this is in the most positive way, but they are crazy in the competitive sense. That that is the psycho CIS that I am. Diagnosis. Seeing them with I think is the proper way to describe that, but it is a little what you just described there. I would like my daughter and future baby boy to listen to like, hey, this is this what you need to be the greatest of all time. Can Spidey get it done? We shall see. Let's go to the west. The guy that has all those things. It feels like Going con man.
E
Yeah, Perk. He's talking about Wemby and also possibly Ant. It feels like the Minnesota and Spurs kind of com of the two are that exact thing. And they both want that moment, want that pressure. What do you think about the series now? You said if Minnesota won Game 2, then they would probably sweep. They didn't. Spurs get it done. Is this probably heading to seven? We got game three tonight. What are you expecting? And do you think the spurs kind of go on a road, make another statement, or do you see a big bounce back for Ant man in the wolves?
F
Well, look, I believe we're in for a brawl for it all. I think this series is going to go seven games. And the most important thing that I took that I took away the biggest takeaway that I had from that game was they started talking noise. They started, you know, they started getting in the trenches and mixing it up a little bit. Like, you know, not. That's the energy you want to see. Coach Finch said they got punk. And then all of a sudden you hear Anthony, I was saying, hey, man, listen, we came out cool. They did what they were supposed to do. You know, basically, they kick. What? They kick they ass, right? They kick they ass. But I'm gonna tell you this, it's gonna be crazy in that arena in Minnesota tonight. It's gonna be rocking in there. It's gonna be. It's. They have done an outstanding job of establishing a dangerous place to play in. And I believe right now this is going to be the most exciting one of the most physical series that we're going to see. It's a lot of games and a lot of basketball left to be played, and this is going to be one of them, because I know Wimpy hates losing, and we saw his spirit when he bounced back in game two. But you know who else have a hatred for losing? Anthony Edwards.
A
Yeah.
F
And I need. Listen, looking at Julius Randall, Julius Randall has to come with it. If I'm Julius Randall, let me tell you how I'm wired. If I'm Julius Randall, I'm watching all the Knicks games, and every time I see Carl Anthony Towns go out there and have a great game, damn it, I get jealous. And I need to go and outdo him. I need to go and outdo him because that's who I got traded for. And I see him over there making a difference, damn it. I got to be the difference maker over here. That's how I'm wild. And it's okay to be jealous sometimes. You know what I'm saying it's okay to be jealous. It's okay to envy some people when you trying to get what they got.
A
I actually enjoy that I just got a stat dropped in my ear. Randle led the team in scoring in
E
game one, and they got the job done.
A
Yeah. So if he's able to do it again, maybe they go crazy. And I like the fact that you're like, hey, I'm going to be judged off of this trade on how he does versus how I do. You see him get one, I need to go get a couple out here. I love the Minnesota team. I love the Timber Wagon. I also enjoy the. The thought of Wemby going into that atmosphere, because I think he will.
F
He's not phased by this.
A
Exactly. I think you'll relish it. I think he'll relish that entire thing, like. And the. My only wish here is that I could get this into the YouTube TV. Four bucks.
E
Yeah.
A
Okay. Last night.
D
Yeah.
A
Today, hockey is on. Everything else. Prime is by itself. Got two games over there. This is certainly something. Their coverage is great. I'm not knocking the coverage. I appreciate the fact that prime is getting into sports and all that, but it is hard to, you know, whenever we got two playoff series going on at the same time, obviously going to be difficult. We got two big ones tonight on Prime. Perk, let's have you pick these games. Sixers favored by one and a half. Before you give that tone, has a question for you.
D
Yeah. A couple questions about this series. Obviously, OG with the hamstring is huge. What. What do you think that to the Knicks and especially on the defense, side of the ball. And then. Am I crazy? When I was watching game two and Embiid was out, does it feel like the Sixers offense kind of flows better when he's not on the floor? Or am I just crazy watching that?
A
You.
F
You're not crazy. Well, one.
A
Let me.
F
You're not crazy. I'mma answer this one first. You're not crazy. It does flow better the first, second and third quarter. But, you know, the 76ers lost their game in the fourth quarter because they couldn't make no shots.
E
Yeah.
F
Because Tyrese Maxey, he was exhausted. Paul George was exhausted. Right. And so when you think about what Embiid brings to the table, he brings that balance that when your outside shots are not falling, he's going to put and apply so much pressure on your defense that one, he's either going to get the bucket in the low post, make the 15 footer, or he's going to get to the free throw line because he's one of the most skilled bigs to ever play the game. He's unstoppable. Now, when you talk about OG Anunoby, one could argue that he is the most important player in the NBA for us to his team success. Would he his impact for what he brings offensively and defensively. I've been calling them this for about two years. He is our new era of Scottie Pippen. And if I'm, if I'm the Knicks, I don't even think about playing him. Games three and game four, I wait to see what happens. Because I wait to see what happens and then, you know, if it's in a must type win, I'm bringing them back for Game 5. But Game 3 and Game 4, especially with his history of hamstring injuries, I'm not rushing this and I'm not speeding it up. You're up too old. And on top of this, you know, Jalen Brunson is averaging about 36 to 37 points in Philly in the postseason. I know he was, you know, I know he. That's his second home because his Villanova days, but damn, he's averaging 36 to 37 points in Philly. Yeah, he's right now over the past two seasons. So he's very comfortable going into that arena.
A
Yeah.
F
So you gotta expect that big body Brunson and Carl Anthony Towns, even without og, they could go in there and steal one. I don't believe they get game three. I think Philly gets that one, but I think they got enough to steal one. And that would probably be game four.
A
Okay. So I appreciate you saying he's the most important player to his team. Okay. And then saying they still could win one without him when we got a Wemby existing out here. Okay. You know what I mean? Like. Yeah, I know what you meant.
F
But Pat, we pulled up, we pulled up some numbers yesterday. I don't have the graphic on NBA today. And it showed his impact on both ends of the floor or something like some, you know, some real nerdy numbers. You know what I'm saying? But it caught my. And it showed his impact on, you know, what he brings offensively and defensive. I want you to think about this for a second. There's no knock to Wimby.
A
No, no, we're complimenting both guys. Yeah.
F
So. So I want you to think in game two in the second half, Mike Brown chose to go with a small ball lineup when Carl Anthony Towns was out the game. You know who was at the center position? OG Anunoby. And he did an outstanding job on both ends. Like, he is one of those guys. Like when you talk about the ultimate three and three and D guy, he's that, he's that, he's that.
A
We need to put a little bit more respect on OG Anunoby's name is what Perkins was just saying. There they, they are.
F
Quick over here.
A
Yeah.
F
Shout out to the production crew.
A
Hey, Bruce. Also the guy in charge of flipping through the Hembo stats here, Massive Knicks fan. So he could not wait.
F
Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.
A
This thing had been sitting in queue here for about, you know. Yeah, most underrated player in the league, OG Anova there. It is not what the graphic said. Well, yeah, no doubt. Highest true shooting percentage by 20 point per game score in playoff history. Injury says OG Anunoby. Good luck to him in his recovery. I also appreciate the fact that you're saying, let's go ahead and rest that guy for the long term. Okay, so who do you got? What are you? Let's. Let's hear your picks then for. For tonight's games.
F
You like, I got the 76ers. I got the 76s. Yeah, they go protect the crib, even though it's gonna be infested with a lot of Knicks fans. Okay, I got the 76ers. But then in that Minnesota game, I got Minnesota. They coach called them out. It's gonna be rocking. He said they got pumped. They will respond. Anthony Edwards, even though he gives the best post game interviews that I've seen in a long time, he had a little smirk on his face, but he was pissed off. I think it's going to be close, but I think, you know, Anthony Edwards in the Minnesota Timberwolves. Go pull it out. The role players, Bones Holland, you know, Terence Shannon, they're going to make shots and play better at home. They're going to feed off the energy of the crowd and Minnesota is going to go up 2:1 after tonight.
A
All right. We appreciate the hell out of you in a robe right now. What are you.
F
I mean, I'm in the green room. I'm in the green room. I tried to get my lighting together, but, you know, sometimes, you know, with the half cut, you know, I ain't got my makeup on yet. You know, sometimes it just don't work. But hey, look, you don't need one thing.
A
You don't even.
F
You know what they tell me? Hey, you know what they tell me? Like my church lighthouse, right? Come as you are come as you are all welcome.
A
We appreciate the hell out of you. Carry on. Ladies and gentlemen. Kendrick. Yeah, He's a legend.
D
The best. The best.
A
There was a time where he was potentially in our studio once a week. Do you remember that?
D
He came once.
A
Oh, yeah. First week he had it. That would have been incredible, him in here once a week. Just experiencing Kendrick Perkins would have been phenomenal. What a home run. He'll say it.
E
He doesn't care.
D
With his chest.
A
He will say it. How do you describe Burke? Open. Yeah, I think he. Wide open. He is. He is very willing to kind of say, which is why we enjoy him. And he'll always have some hilarious angle in which why he is speaking the gospel and why he is right and you are wrong. I think a lot of people didn't necessarily love his delivery because it isn't like straight out of a journalism playbook. So I think they wanted to hate him. I'm telling you. Hard to hate perk, you know, unless you are directly being attacked by him, which I could see how current players would certainly hate him. Donovan Mitchell could certainly hate Kendrick Perkinson. Yeah. I could see how he would potentially
C
be like Julius Randle.
A
Julius Randle. Potential, just like the team in scoring in game one.
B
Okay.
A
He could certainly do that. But for all of us, it's like Perk willing to say it does the research, does the work and delivers in his own unique style. And He's a champion 15 year player. It's like we love Big Perk.
E
Yeah. Growing up, Kendrick Perkins was the guy for the Celtics as far as like enforcer and guy that's just going to go out there and body people.
A
That was not about that. It was. I just saw the view of the person that's about to join us right now. I'm so, so. We love Perk. I love Park. Wait. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now, senior NFL Insider for espn, Adam Schefter.
E
Yeah, Chef D. What's going on, guys?
A
Oh, gee. Where are you, Chef? What do you got going on here, pal? You're under an umbrella of sort.
G
Yeah, I'm in. I am in Florida right now. There's a Michigan event here, I guess a fundraising event through the champion circle. And they've got all these Michigan players, coaches, football program, basketball program. And there's a function tonight to raise money for the program. And so came down here emceeing a conversation out at a football event. I mean, I can show you the field. I'm off to the side right now. Otherwise we Would have had some surprise guests, but we are now in the shade. So that's a good thing and happy to discuss football today, by the way. Pat, breaking news. Breaking news. It looks like the NFL and the NFL RA have reached an agreement. We should hear word of that fairly soon, but that's going to come down soon. Let the league will be able to avoid replacement officials. But there's some information going around right now that agreement has been reached and I would imagine we're going to hear about that very shortly.
A
Thank you for the news, Chef. You're at a Michigan let's fund a better football team event happening down there in Florida for the refs association to ratify the vote. I believe the. The poll, the voting hours or window open last night because I thought we'd get an answer last night. I guess it was just a window opened. I don't know if it was via email to all of its members, but there was a window closing for when the vote ended. We didn't know when we were going to get a response on that. We thought if they went to a vote, that means they were going to approve it. You're saying they have. That is gigantic news. I don't think, especially with the number of eyes that are on the game now, with the amount of countries that are in on the game, the amount of gambling that's in on the game right now. What happened before with the replacement refs was an embarrassment to our sport, to our league, to everything. It could have ruined everything. And I know that the refs knew that. So the fact that they kind of bent and gave in whatever the NFL was looking for and the fact that the NFL did the same for the refs to make sure they get this done early, I think here, this is a couple weeks early. Congrats to all parties. Shefty Legit. That is huge for us as football fans. That is gigantic. And I don't think people really understand how big that really is at this date of time.
G
That's a huge deal. And they're able to avoid replacement officials and they get the CBA done. And there obviously have been a lot of discussion about how dire, dire talks had been in January, February, March. Oh, we're getting texts about it right now, it looks like. Yeah, there it is. Yep. Okay, here we go. Here we go. Okay. The NFL. Oh, yeah. It's official seven. Seven year collective bargaining agreement.
A
Congratulations. Congratulations. NFL and the NFL Ref Association.
E
Huge.
G
Seven years.
A
You have agreed to keep the game. The game. The league, the league to keep the integrity of the game. Together, you two great entities have come together to become better officials with more accountability and a little bit more advancement of technology. And you as a league, having the best officials in the world would be a great thing to happen. So you two agreeing to do that, Congratulations and thank you.
E
Hell, yeah.
A
It's official, said Chef Dion on a beach down there in Florida next to a football field.
F
It's official.
G
In fact, Pat, we're gonna tweet it out right now as we're going. We're gonna put it on the ESPN alert. You're gonna get all the news here on all the platforms as we're doing this, because this is what we do. We try to multitask. So we're gonna send out all the information everywhere.
A
Well, how's the WI fi down there? The WI fi's bad. Wifi's.
H
WI fi's all right.
A
The tweet is up. The NFL and the NFL Referees association
C
have a good picture.
G
Keep going, Pat.
A
Well, I was gonna read your tweet there that you were either typing up or you had your talk to text, which is why you were talking in a text form whenever you told us. Breaking whatever the case, seven year deal. The current deal was scheduled to expire on May 31st. It goes through 2032. Congrats, all parties. And I love the photo you chose to use there.
E
Yeah. Good compromise. They all look kind of pissed.
A
Yeah, kind of pissed. But also understand they got to work together.
E
Yep.
A
Yeah. And I think everybody's happy here. This is good news for the league. This is good news for everybody. This is good news for Ball.
E
Yes, it is.
A
Congrats to football.
D
Congrats.
A
Football. We won today.
G
Football.
A
Okay, let's talk about some other football news as you're standing next to a football field in Florida about to raise millions and millions of dollars for the Michigan athletics program, which is not just football, by the way, a lot of Olympic sports. And you can act like it's a good thing and for the future and all that, but what they're doing right there is showcasing why they are going to be able to continue to compete in athletics in college and some other places won't. This comes fresh off the news that the University of Michigan were one of the initial investors of OpenAI. And now their investment is worth $2 billion. The University of Michigan invested early in OpenAI. Okay. I don't know how they have an investment fund at a University of Michigan, but obviously they do. That makes sense that they have. That they found this. They get in on it, because the networks, that is now $2 billion in profit. Who knows if they pull that, if they have that. But that could certainly help you get a quarterback.
E
Pretty good investment.
A
That could certainly help. Schefter certainly doing all he can. Good luck to you guys over there in Ohio. Aj now, let's keep it moving in the NFL conversation. AJ Has a question for you. Michigan, man.
C
Yeah. Chef dejuan Jennings signs with the Minnesota Vikings. I guess.
B
How.
C
How did this come about and what other teams were possibly in play for Jennings?
G
You know, the interesting thing, AJ is I was told that there were a few other teams. I could go back and get the exact list. I think it was the Dolphins, the commanders. There was somebody else that was interested. The Vikings were the only team that I believe he wound up visiting at all. That was the only one. The other team. Oh, the Chiefs and commanders also were interested in. Juwan Jennings also expressed a little interest. Washington, Kansas City. But ultimately he got a one year deal for Minnesota worth up to $13 million. It's about $8 million in base pay. And so look, I think that ideally you want to get these deals done as early as you can in free agency, but he was able to salvage a pretty good situation. And now we got a. We got a lot of JJs in Minnesota. JJ McCarthy, who's out here right now. We're going to talk to him in a little bit. JJ McCarthy, Justin Jefferson, another JJ. Juwan Jennings, another JJ. Like if you are a JJ, JJ spawn might wind up playing for the Minnesota Vikings this year for all we know.
A
Yeah, J.J. watt maybe comes out of the game. I mean, there's a chance that a lot of these JJs could potentially go. Craig.
G
Exactly.
A
For the Minnesota Vikings. You just mentioned J.J. mcCarthy there, who we saw at a wild game a couple nights ago going crazy with the lads and also incredible a you know what I want bang. Okay, so we talked about this. Actually, the way he took his hand and put it to Ray here, it was pretty evident what he was looking for. Okay, this is a one dap slapper here that everybody in the world understands that no matter how much chaos is happening here, my guy right next to me shows me this. I know what's coming. Everybody knows that's a bang and a boom and a pow and we're out of there. Okay, I like that he's doing that. That's good communication. Okay, that's good. Nonverbal communication from this guy might lead to better awareness on the field as he continues to grow as an NFL Quarterback. There's others that give you a little halfy here. Okay, Is that a fucking handshake or a high five or a dap up? What are we doing here? I don't know. Some people, you know, go with the fist bump straight ahead, then open hand, then back to the thing. You're not letting me know what you need. JJ handles the moment perfectly, I'd say with a, hey, you know what's coming. I'm smacking the out of your hand guy that has a button down tucked in at a hockey game. So, I mean, that is just good stuff. Let's explore that conversation a little bit more. Go ahead to.
D
Yeah, Chefy. With seeing him with the boys being here at the game, it was. It just rattled my brain. Like, is. Is Kyler definitely going to be the starter? Is this an open competition, you think, going into training camp?
G
Well, I think that we have. We have more. We have more news. Oh, more news.
A
Oh, jj.
G
The NFL has confirmed that the schedule release will take place on Thursday. This a week, six days from now, Thursday, May 14th. The NFL schedule will come out in its entirety, Pat. So we can begin to get ready for next Thursday. There it is, the news. Like, who would have ever thought Friday at 1285 that the news is going to be pouring in here? But that's what's going on right now.
A
Well, Shefty, listen, The NFL is 24 7, especially on Friday news dump days. We know we're in the the middle of or one of those. May 8, 2026 in the spring. Got a big weekend of sports ahead. Oh, yeah, and a bunch of NFL shit's about to be dropped on everybody's
D
boardlands and Hanta Fonta.
A
Yeah, yeah, you're right. There's a lot of stuff on Internet going on. Shout out to the schedule coming out next Thursday. There was a little bit of hubbub about them potentially delaying the schedule release because not knowing what platform the game is on or maybe they don't know which games are when. Our source says at the league said that was not the case. They was just, you know, we're just still trying to figure it out. There was a comment made on a podcast before the draft by somebody was like. And that got kind of taken out of context. Now it's official. It's coming out on Thursday. Excited to see what games are when and where. Remember the division games? Okay. The placement of those are always big conversation pieces early and late. Used to be division games are kind of as you worked in because they're the Most important games. The NFL wanted to start with a bang with division games. So a lot of teams are having their most important crucial games at the very beginning of the season, which gave us better football but had very big, big possible ripple effects very early in the season. I'm excited to see what the schedule masters do this year. Now back to the question. You can't say J.J. mcCarthy is not going to be the starter because he's 10ft away from you.
G
More breaking news. The Green Bay packers have released Brandon McManus, their kicker, after they drafted the kicker from Florida in the sixth round. And they paid Brandon McManus a lot of money. They gave him a three or fifteen million dollar deal last offseason. They paid him his one million dollar roster bonus in March. But they have already moved on from Brandon McManus after drafting Trey smack in the sixth round last month. So there'll be a new kicker in Green Bay. So much for the competition that they thought they were going to have. They have now moved on from him. So again, a lot, a lot of news here. All of a sudden we got a new kicker in Green Bay. We got the NFL schedule next Thursday. We got a seven year labor agreement between the NFL RA and the NFL itself. And, and we have Jason McCarthy out here to go talk to you about the Vikings quarterback competition, which I'm happy to get back to if you'd like to.
A
Okay, so let's expand on Brandon McManus there because he started with the Indianapolis Colts. I know him, super bowl champion, has done incredible things in the NFL. Missed more kicks than he would ever like or have on his entire resume. I assume he'll bounce back, go somewhere. Anytime. They say there's a competition between two kickers. That's always one more roster spot that's getting taken up by a kicker, especially in this offseason as you're trying to accrue numbers and create things. I assume McManus understood the situation whenever this guy was drafted out of Florida, this guy that got drafted out of Florida, bombs balls. We watched him kick. Hopefully he's good. Hopefully McMan continues to go on 70 year ref agreement. That is awesome. Schedule release coming out Thursday. Spectacular starting quarterback for the Minnesota vikings, Michigan man J.J. mcCarthy, who's 10ft away from you or Kyler Murray. Is that an actual competition? How do you see that going?
G
Listen, I'm not ready to write off JJ yet. Look, Kyler Murray's got a great opportunity in front of him. It's probably as good of an opportunity as he's had in a long time. When you look at all the talent surrounding Kyler Murray, he's got Jordan Mason, he's got Aaron Jones, he's got T.J. hawkins, he's got Justin Jefferson, got Jordan Addison, he's got Juwan Jennings. Right now, there's a boatload of talent in Minnesota, and that doesn't even include a head coach who's obviously adapt and proficient at getting these offensive plays in and having the offensive production that Kevin o' Connell has. I think. I don't know how you handicap it. Look, I think a lot of people believe that Kyler is going to wind up as the starting quarterback, but I think JJ Is going to give him a run. Still, I don't think the Vikings are rated a willingness to give up on J.J. mcCarthy just yet. I think they've got two good quarterbacks there. I mean, these are two high draft picks, so it'll play out. But I think a lot of people believe Kyler's gonna prevail and win the job. But again, I'm not ready to give up on J.J. just yet.
A
Okay. I'm excited to watch it all unfold. Obviously, Kevin OConnell's offense is one that is spectacular. They're able to sign another wide receiver who had other options and Juwan Jennings with telling him who the starting quarterback's going to be. That's how prolific that offense can be and should be. Hopefully, JJ can continue to get better. And if Kyler ends up the quarterback of a Kevin oconnell offense as a diehard Vikings fan for his entire life and has a full resurgence of being the guy that maybe we thought or hoped he could be, that's a great story, too.
E
Yeah.
A
Good luck to all parties. The Vikings are currently interviewing for a gm. When's that going to happen?
G
Say that again.
A
Feels like Juwan Jennings just signed there. They don't got gf. So, I mean, are they going to get a gm or is Kevin o' Connor running things? Like, how does that kind of all go over there?
G
No, they've got about six, seven guys that are on the list right now. They've submitted. They've got Turnkey, a search firm helping them to identify the right candidate. If they've got a situation where they've identified all these candidates and they're going to interview them, go through the process, and we'll see where they get the information from, but who they wind up hiring. But I think it'll. It'll play out here pretty quickly. Rob Brzezinski is the current Interim gm. He's done a great job there, and I think somebody that has been overlooked there for a while, they'll have an opportunity. But they've got some really interesting candidates on their list that they've reached out to arrange interviews.
A
Okay. I cannot wait to see how it works out there. Grigson also potentially in their former coach, general manager, who had, you know, not necessarily the greatest ending in Indianapolis, but did have winning teams, kind of seemingly had to go back, earn his way back up to a position to be in interviews again. I had a nice chance to catch up with him. Feels like he's a different person where he's at now. Second opportunity is normally good for people in the NFL or completely asked both times, but I don't think that'll be the case. There's so many good talents out there. Only 32 jobs, just like in coaching, but there's only one senior NFL inside, and that's this man down in Florida. We appreciate the hell out of you, Shefty.
G
Pat. No more things today. I gave you all I got today. That's all I got today.
A
Well, tonight you need to go give it a little bit more. I think there's a lot of money in that room, Shefty. Let's be smart.
G
Oh, there's. There's a lot of money in that room tonight, Pat. A lot of money.
A
Okay. All right. All right. That's Adam Schefter, ladies and gentlemen.
E
Yeah, Chef.
A
Yeah, I think there is. I think I know where he is.
E
Probably a cool event.
A
I don't know. I don't know.
C
He's like. He's the emcee of the whole thing.
A
Yeah, one of the MCs. It sounds like it's a Michigan. Do you go to Michigan? Do you have any tie to Michigan? Can you afford to buy a plane right now? If you have to, why don't you come down here? And Schefter's like, they asked me to have him see you. I guess I'm there. I'm there. Go. Yeah. This feels like a good room to be in, pal. He loves that he's a part of the Michigan. Like, he loves them. There was a chance he was going to be the guest picker for game day for Michigan, and he called me 30 times a day just like, is this happening? Is this happening? I'm like, I don't know. You gotta ask other people. So he's gotta be so pumped, as are we. We're back in three. Take care. Sports are the greatest. That's A.J. hawk. He's the all time leading tackler for the Green Bay Packers. The toxic tables here at Boston. Connor and one half of the Hammer Cowboys. AP Ton Ty Schmidt. We love you, buddy.
D
Love every time.
B
Yeah.
A
Congratulations. The boys in the back. You guys are absolutely crushing it this week. I think we should do a weekly recap thingy.
D
Yeah, for sure.
A
Don't you think we should recap the things that we like and the things that we think are hilarious? AJ Is that not something we should do on Fridays?
C
Oh, that sounds amazing. Yes.
A
Do you want to go with the bad or the good on feel good Friday first?
C
AJ I say you start with the good.
A
Oh, I like that. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for five things that aren't.
D
Yeah.
A
From this week in the sports world. We looked around the entire globe in the sports universe and found our things that we think should be spotlighted as definitely not being ass. These things are so far from being ass that they're actually being celebrated for not being ass. Let's start in Madison Square Garden, Timmy for three at msg, known superfan Timmy Chalamet, who's about to come out with an splashy splash. Does that look game time there? He almost called it. Obviously it looks super cool. He doesn't dress like too much of an asshole. Certainly has a little bit of moxie and swag, but it certainly played hoops before, which is what we like to see out of megastars. A.J. hawk.
C
Yeah. I don't even care if the ball goes in. I don't. Like, haven't you seen guys where they take a shot but they shot put it, and they're not basketball players, and it goes in and people freak out? And I'm like, no, it's a terrible looking shot. So for Timmy, not only to make the shot, but to hit this sweet little step back and look like he's played some ball. Like, I am very impressed.
A
You stack this on top of the game day thing.
D
Yep.
A
Where a new ball, clearly understood ball. The way he acts at games, how he crushes everything, the ping pong shit. I mean, it's like Timmy's an athlete who happens to be a superstar. And on that note, we're pulling for you, Timmy.
E
Keep going, Timmy.
A
Timmy for three. Cash msg. That feels so good, by the way. Worst camera. Holy. Thank you.
C
Not bad D. Not bad defense either
D
by his buddy, even if he was by himself. Like, if there was no D, I'd be like, that's good.
E
Clean shot.
A
That's definitely non ass. Let's go to another thing that isn't. San Antonio Spurs. Timberwolves shot clock dwindling. Ooh, Vassell. A no dip tip three to lead the spurs as they continue to do their thing down in San Antonio. The timing, the effortlessness, the cleanness of it makes you wonder, like, how difficult is that, actually? Well, we tried it out with Tyrese Halliburton, who's in the middle of a recovery from an Achilles yesterday, and, I mean, he banked home, but I'll tell you, it was not, like, clean. No, it was not, like, clean. And now, granted, Tyrese is coming out of an Achilles, and he's not necessarily the biggest jumper whenever he shoots it, but him describing it and him giving it a go, it was like, oh, that was an incredibly impossible shot that guy took. And how about the perfect timing of jumping and basically the ball just kind of coming into his hands as if it was like a video game glitch while he's jumping.
C
AJ I mean, this is a playoff game in the NBA, too. Like, this isn't some backyard game you're playing with your bud. So, yeah, when you hear other professional athletes talk about how difficult of a shot this is, yeah, you. You can't help but be impressed.
A
It's a no dip tip.
E
Yeah, no dip tip. No big deal. And also, a lot of people are recreating it and stuff. And even Tyrese, it's like this guy was not prepared for this whatsoever. It's just like, hey, situation. One second to kind of react. Buries it. That's incredible.
A
Yeah. The pass was also money.
E
Yeah, right.
A
I learned from me and Halle trying to do it. The past certainly matters.
D
Yep.
A
The past Certainly matters. A.J. you know, you can really kind of dictate whether or not that's going to go in with the pass.
C
You kind of gave him the laces, though. It looks like you gave Tyrese the laces.
A
Thank you. And also the location. Yeah. Because if that thing's a little bit right, obviously we're jumping sideways. We're doing this number here. That. That pass that the Vassell got from Champagne there was like literally right in. It was as if the ball was dropped. Dropped into his hand in the middle of a shooting. Unbelievable stuff all around. Can't wait to watch them tonight. Let's go to another thing that wasn't asked. Let's go to the NHL, shall we? We talked about this goal already, but how could you not showcase it again? Whenever you're trying to showcase things that are certainly not asked. Hockey. So fast, so beautiful, so physical, so filthy. Absolute filth from Doc right there, aj he loses an edge. He loses his time. And then he drops an absolute dime top ched over the goalie shoulder, and the goalie's thinking to himself, wow, lad, can't believe you did that.
E
Yeah.
C
You know, this is the first thing I thought of when I saw this was something I talked about in this program a year or so ago. The little frog getting eaten by the duck or whatever, and he's all the way in his mouth, but his hands are coming out. Strangled him and says, never give up. That's kind of a definition of what this play is.
A
Yeah, you're right. I assume that Doc had the duck and frog poster in his house. Growing up in his bed. Just like you, AJ had to.
C
Had to make a play like this. Yeah, for sure.
A
Yeah. The resiliency, the never say never, the no play is over mindset is certainly what Doc is doing. And that frog that was getting swallowed by that long necked bird thought that, hey, this ain't over just yet. If I can get these big, powerful legs around the neck and then maybe I won't be able to go down. Turns out I think they both die in this situation. Doc is the winner. And the. There it is. There it is right there.
C
I think there's no way they're both. There's no way they're Both dead.
A
I mean, I don't think the frog
C
can breathe well, but he strangles them before he. He loses all of his life.
A
But I think duck ends up not living.
C
Yeah, lockjaw for. The duck's dead for sure. But the frog, the frog was. Was close to death, but I think he made it out.
A
I don't think there's a duck either.
D
More like a crane.
C
Yeah, it could be a crane.
E
Yeah, crane.
G
Ish.
A
That's a big frog. If that's a crane, that's a big frog King frog. I mean, think about the deepness of the ridge. Ribbit. This would have.
D
I mean, geez, these things are pretty big, right?
A
Yeah, that would.
C
If this was a ribbon, would keep you up at night.
A
Yeah, it would. Certainly.
D
I think the frog wins this one though.
A
Yeah, you think frog just holds its breath while it does this.
D
I mean, frogs, you know, frogs, they live underwater.
C
So true.
A
They live on.
D
No, they don't. They can be.
C
They can't swim.
A
Yeah, no, they live on those cool little things.
D
Well, different type. You have toads and, and bullfrogs. Frogs and. And poisonous frogs. You never know.
A
Yeah, we're talking about that big tree frog right there. That's a bullfrog.
H
See his face?
D
I can't, I can't identify it, to be honest.
E
Based on the legs.
D
Right.
A
Because it could be like an Andre the giant version of like a little frog.
D
Yeah.
A
It could just be the biggest.
D
If it's a bullfrog, it wins.
A
Feels like a standing 10 count. I think they both drop dead. And what a fight they both put up.
D
Yeah, they did.
A
And we, we certainly respect that. But Doc lived is what we're saying for that Canadian's goal. And that's certainly not as much. Another thing that's not asked. I don't know if you saw this on Monday night. 330 pounder flying through the. You ever seen a missile? European uppercut. Pa. Yeah, that's what.
C
Oh, he's doing this to Otis, dude.
A
And watch him just. What, Literally shot him.
C
Goodness.
A
Yeah, Just kind of throws him around and Oba's not done yet. Hey, that 400 pounder that you guys love. Yeah. Low center of gravity. How about we take him to the sky and we take him down? Oh, I. One, two and over three.
D
I don't like that they did that to Otis.
A
Like, did what? The Otis, they fed him to Oba.
C
Just. Yeah, like he's nothing.
A
That's not ass, dude. He's flying. You see him? That's a Randy Orton oh, no, I
D
know, but I mean.
A
Hey, Brock Lesnar.
D
Oh, this is the best man.
A
No, he's not.
E
Not anymore.
A
Not anymore. I'm not talking the best. Is that guy here, though.
D
This is why I gave on this. This thing.
A
What? This thing?
D
The business, whatever you guys call it.
A
Look, you don't think I did that. What are you talking about?
D
Come on. Crushing all your great people, man.
A
No, they're not crushing anybody here. They're building. They're lifting. Just like Oba does to anything he sees. That's certainly not ass what you're trying to do right now. I don't like it one bit.
E
Gonna help Otis too.
D
I love Oba.
A
Doesn't sound like it.
D
I love Otis too.
A
All right, let's travel to another world as we we talk about college softball and things that are not asset. Oh, here's Brie Ellis. We saw this from the SEC network social media account. Let's see what type of pitches she gets all game here. Oklahoma versus Georgia.
E
Yep.
A
Okay. Or Arkansas.
E
Arkansas.
A
Arkansas versus Georgia. Sorry. Arkansas. Patty Gaso actually gave a great promo after her team lost the game. Arkansas's Brie Ellis is up to bat here. Gets hit. Okay, so that's nine straight balls. They do not pitch to her. Let's not. Let's make sure there's no balls in the strike zone because if there are, she'll do this. Boom. Walk off grand slam. First pitch. That was in the zone all game. Briellis hits a walk off grand salami against Georgia. That had to feel so good. Just the amount of patience all game. I assume this happens to her a lot. We should follow along. I assume they know that if you deliver anything that is reachable for Bree, that thing is taking a trip out of town. Walk off grand slam after not seeing a strike all damn day. That's certainly not ass, AJ For Briellis, it is not.
C
And I don't know, the only thing Briellis can do now is use like a 96 inch bat, I guess, and try to get some of those balls that are way outside.
A
Yeah, maybe. You know, the thing about it is her plate discipline is one of her best skills.
E
Second to none.
D
She was the softball player of the year in 2025.
A
So run that back.
D
Yeah.
A
Did you see Coach Patty? Guess so.
E
Oh, yeah.
A
She's not happy.
D
Always she's not happy.
E
Back to basics.
A
Hands bleeding.
E
Crisp.
A
Hands bleeding. We need to work. I don't think we should run just because I don't have enough walls to run through. Okay. Just know college Softball is starting to heat up, and it's certainly not ass at all. And those are five things that we thought were not ass. Hell, yeah. Yeah. Now do we want to go to the things that are ass?
C
I think so. Yeah.
A
All right, well, let's hop on a train, ladies and gentlemen. It's time to hit the oh, no train. Joining us to host oh no, ladies and gentlemen, it's football aficionado for espn. Dan. Oh, no. Dano, how you doing? We were hoping it was an ou. Yeah. Type day, but it feels like it might be an oh, no, Dan. No, no day, if you know what I'm saying.
H
How do I. How am I a part of this? What did I do?
A
Well, this.
E
You're kind of the face of it.
A
Yeah. This is supposed to be done six minutes ago, but obviously it carries this long because we want to celebrate all the things that were not asked, but we also have to celebrate the things that were maybe. Oh, no. Worthy. And if you're waiting on hold there, we need to bring you in because you have been a part of a couple. Oh, nos. We all have.
G
Have.
B
Yeah.
A
We all have been a part of some old.
D
I've definitely been a part of small.
A
We're not going to show you're all your biggest. Oh, no. Yeah, you are. Oh, no, we're not. We're not going to do that.
E
Big games.
A
No, we're not. We're not going to do the Fernando Mendoza. We're not going to do any of that. Okay. We're not going to dive into it. We got time for that. We just would like you to help us describe what you were watching in this week in sports for the oh, no Train. Believe it or not, you are not getting dunked on this time.
E
Phew.
G
Huh?
H
It's a good day for me, then.
A
Well, actually, ladies and gentlemen, the first. Oh, no. Comes from a few years back. Daniel, the quarterback of the Detroit Lions, being chased by legend.
D
It's my first time.
C
Daniel, he gets credit for the sack, right?
A
Absolutely.
H
I think so. I think. Thanks. Thanks for that. I think that's the most important part of that, AJ Is who got credit for the sack.
A
You got credit for the safety for sure. For a long time. He got credit for the sack. And also he's a hall of Famer potentially because he's scared of safety into the other team. And, Dano, I'm on your team here. If I was in that position, which I certainly never was, NFL quarterback, I don't know if I would ever get to that position where Jared Allen is over there. But sometimes you're so locked in you're just not worried about how far back it goes because we're trying to go all the way that way for a touchdown. I'm not worried about backwards. Spaceships don't come equipped with rear view mirrors. They dip. You aren't looking back, you're only looking Forward for a 98 yard touchdown. So you're such an optimist. You look like an. It made everybody say oh no. All right, let's go to this week, shall we? Let's go to a game for the.
D
No.
A
Would you like to comment Dan? Oh no. Would you like to turn this into a Dan. Oh no. Pot session or what?
B
Do we not.
H
Go ahead, go ahead. Go for it.
A
Please, please, please.
C
Yeah.
H
One, you said spaceships, aliens aren't real. Two.
A
The eight sided. I just saw an eight sided thing while I was going to the bathroom. Had a three minute break. People are going through the files. I saw an eight sided thing. I saw an eight sided thing.
H
Nah, dude. Floating around the storylines of that play in that game. We lost that game 12 10.
D
Oh no.
H
Gus Perrot who was the kicker for Minnesota, Brian something.
A
He was good. Yeah.
D
You lost 12:10, Brian Griesy.
H
We lost 12:10.
A
I'm bummed out about that.
H
On a game winning field goal that was also the Owen 16 season.
A
Oh no.
E
So you basically caused that.
A
I don't want to die, Dan. Oh no. We should not have done that. Okay, we're gonna put that to bed. But all those bad days kind of led you to here though, right? Both Lions fans. Now you guys are super pumped up about your players going to Pistons games and sitting courtside and having celebrity row and looking super cool, right? Yeah. We went on 16, we drafted Matthew Stafford. He had about 12 great years in Detroit. Ended up trading him for Jared Goff and now we got Jared Rid Goff, Jared Goff, Hutch, Gibbs, St. Brown, all the boys, mcdc, you name it. So yeah, Dan, that play pissed me off at the time. But now that we're doing this, thank you for running out of the back of the end zone there. Thank you.
H
You're welcome.
A
Thank you for doing that for all
H
of Detroit team guy, team guy.
A
From the Stones fans to the, to the Tigers fans, all the way to the Lions fans and the Lions players sitting courtside. Aiden Hutchinson looks so cool.
E
Yeah, he's Detroit's Oba.
H
Did you see always.
A
Did you see how cool he looked yesterday?
H
Yeah, he looked good. He looked good. Good looking dude.
A
Yeah. Look pretty jacked too. Had sunglasses on. Even gave a. Excuse me. Let me hear it for me, please. One of these, you know, Hulk Hogan. Come on. Let me go ahead and get that. I. I love that Hutch and the boys are supporting the team. I like that Jameer Gibbs is there. I like that. The city of Detroit's coming together around this number one seed Detroit Pistons. Are the stones about to rally the city. Are the stones about to go on a real run here? Foxy, is life good all because. And remember we don't have any of this. If Dano doesn't run out of the back of the end zone back then. Is that not something we need to talk about a little bit more? That's a hundred thousand percent correct, Dan. If I were you, I would be taking all the credit for all of this. The Pistons are back. The Tigers are back, back. The Lions are finally good. For the first time in my lifetime, the Red Wings still kind of stink. Let's not talk about the Red Wings. But all of this is because you ran out of the back of the end zone.
F
Thank you, Dan.
D
And Ryan Longwell was the kicker.
A
Ryan Longwell.
H
Ryan Longwell.
A
He was a great. Yeah, a great kicker.
H
Game winner. I'm not going to take all the credit. I will say that Detroit is an awesome, awesome sports city. And like the whole sports complex that they have. I don't know where the Pistons new arena is, but the football Ford Field and Comerica are right next to each other and they're sick like that whole little section or stadiums on top of each other. You guys were there for the draft two years ago. So you know it. It's, it's. It's a great city.
A
Also Greek town, right? Is that the Greek town? And then Little Caesars arena is also downtown now which, which is where Pistons and Red Wings play. People are very happy about all. Hey, congrats Detroit. All because of this guy Dan. Oh, thank you, Daniel. Okay, let's go to some oh nos happening now, shall we? Dano, is that better to talk about others doing?
F
Oh no.
H
Instead of you doing make fun of other people.
A
Okay, we're not making fun of. We're just pointing things out that are happening. Here's a Cleveland Guardians fan. I assume he'd been a fan of the team since they were another name. He goes to the Athletics game in Sacramento, drops the ball, spills beer on date worst case scenario, absolute oh no situation as the Athletics fan comes in and goes shut your fat ass up and grabs the ball away from him as he walks off. AJ That's a Cleveland Guardian fan. Two of them. And I'll tell you what. Ohio representing, well, out there in Sacramento, it appears.
C
No, there's not a Cincinnati Reds fan. We know that. I mean, at least catch the ball. If you're gonna the fear all over your girl, at least catch the ball in your left hand, man, what are we doing?
D
She was smiling, so that's.
H
Why is he jumping for the ball.
A
Catch it. I liked everything up until execution. I like that he didn't think about putting the drink down. I liked that he thought blindly. With the amount of optimism in athleticism that is currently in his body. The last time he did something athletic, who knows? Decades, we're thinking, yeah, probably him immediately thought to himself, I can do this. I like it blindly. No thought of gravity and inertia and all that shit with the cup. Just golden shower.
D
He's seen others do it.
A
Golden shower.
E
Complete golden.
A
Just a beer. Golden shower all over the date. We want to let them know we appreciate you guys and her laughing about it all. That's great. Guy taking ball, even better. All those things. But it's certainly in the moment. As soon as you see it, you can't help but say, oh, no. Sounds like you're starting to get it, Dan. Oh, you see it. Let's stay in baseball, shall we? Let's go to the bottom of the 10th. Man in second. Cannot give up a hit right now. Cannot at all. Michael Bush hits a ground ball up the middle. Oh, hell no.
H
Keep your body in front of the ball.
A
Trapper style. Sounds so easy till you're in the bottom of the 10th with all the pressure in the world on your Cubs in the middle of a win streak and all of a sudden, gone ball is, oh, Cubs win. They have now won nine straight.
E
I believe so after yesterday, Right?
A
Nine straight games. The Cubs have won. And on the flip side, the Reds, they haven't won either. I think they've lost seven straight or something like that. It has been a tough go. This has been a part of both sides of the story. And as soon as you see it, you go, ellie, you're so cool. But, oh, no, let's stay in baseball but mix in football. Dan Orlovsky decided to get your take on this. Malik Willis, new face of the Miami Dolphins franchise. Go pitch one for the Marlins. Oh, no. Guy could hit the broadside of a barn, Dan. Oh, what the hell's going on down there?
H
That's a tough one. Looks like he has a baseball background, too. Like, if you Just watch the wind up and the step back. You're like, this dude's done this before. Matt misses by 20ft.
A
Yeah. AJ brought a glove with him, which we like. We like that he brought.
H
Was he trying to throw a hook? Like, is he trying to throw a break?
C
I think he's trying to throw it up there. Dano. He just didn't want to bounce it. I think he's trying to throw it up there. I don't think he was really worried about throwing a strike.
A
He almost took a guy.
H
This is by 20ft.
A
He almost hit a guy in the head back here. I mean, there's a. There's a light blue shirt. I assume worker. I mean, he's right.
C
Oh, you're right.
E
Barely dodged.
A
And maybe that's. Malik thought he was supposed to throw at the neck guy.
D
Sure.
A
There was. There was a chance that maybe he just didn't know who he was. He didn't want to hit the check down.
D
He wanted to hit the post.
A
But as soon as we saw it, we're aggressive. You know, who knows how that's going to go down there in Miami. But as soon as you watch that, you go, oh, no.
D
Well done.
C
All right.
A
You're not bad. A little dramatic, little theatrics. Kind of hanging on to the. Oh, a little bit longer than he should starting a little bit later than he can. But yeah, we'll continue to get better and better. Let's go to soccer, shall we? This is AC Milan goalie Michael Minan. They just got a huge win. Go ahead and enjoy yourself. Let's go get after. Actually, it was a 00 draw. And we're down. I thought. I thought a team won. That's on me. It was a 00 draw. It soccer. Obviously, this guy just had a shutout.
D
You rarely fall forward down the steps.
E
Yeah, like that.
A
I think his cleat got caught maybe on the edge of that step, and then it just kind of. Kind of lost it down there.
E
Gravity.
A
What the.
H
What are those steps? Just like your traditional stairs down.
A
I don't know. They might be a little metal. Is it in Italy?
E
Because they. Yeah.
H
This doesn't look like a good. Great instruction setup.
A
Okay. And also thin stairs. It appears. Thin stairs. You know, those thin stairs will get you because you slip off the bottom. He got stuck, I think, with his cleat and kind of ate after having a shot out game. Good for him. Aj, doesn't Lambo have, like, some sketchy situation where I'm going down some, like, cement stairs and cleats Was that. Is that Lambo?
H
Yes, yes.
C
Oh, yeah.
H
Like that wide.
A
Yeah, that's sketchy, dude.
H
You got to go down sideways.
A
Yes, exactly. That's right before game about to play in Lambeau. Here we go. This is the coolest night of all time. And then you get there and it's like, don't bust ass coming down this thing. You got cleats on everything slick. Now, obviously we got magnan going. Oh, no. All right, let's head to Liga Portugal. In soccer, Sporting CP knocks it around and then Zeno da Bost, who's not ze best. Boom, bang. Let's go ahead and pass it back to the goalie. Actually, let's go slide this one right by.
E
Oh, geez.
A
Own goal out there. Zabost eventually knocks it in for an own goal. Vittoria SC ends up losing five to one. So this was just an ass beating altogether and not being on the same page. And quite a little slot there by the own goal. You know, the goalie had no chance to get there. You want to talk about own goals?
F
Let's see.
H
I think that's on the goalie. Don't you think that's the goalie's fault? Once he passes it forward, he just kind of hangs at the that right post. Why would he be hanging at the post and not. Is that a goal? Is that a stagger thing?
A
Yeah, I don't know. And also he should make himself available, I think would be what the coaching point would be here. You know, like, hey, if somebody has the ball, make yourself available. Can he get the ball right there? I think he probably thinks so. I don't know. I don't think you need to go right back to the center of the goal because he's a part of that play there. He's passing it. You know, they're part of that entire triangle. He can't pick it up because it was passed back to him. So he's part of the ball on the ground. Yeah, it is a little triangle stuff. I don't know. Could be on the goalie. Let's do this next one. There's another one, Dana, that might be on the goalie. Let's head to Suda Americana, a team from Brazil, Vasco da Garma has taken on a team from Chile and.
H
Oh, no, I mean goalie. Come on, dude.
A
Exactly. That's Alan Saldivia, who puts a sneaky pass pass his own goalie to give Autox Italian though. He looked like he was running in mud there. Yeah, he did that one's on the goalie. That one's on the goalie.
H
Know the feeling.
A
Yeah. Dano, you were running the mud. Yeah.
E
Jesus.
A
That's tough, though.
H
We gotta be. We gotta be more explosive. The place is packed, by the way.
A
Yeah. Places. This is Brazil taking on Chile, obviously. People everywhere. Soccer.
H
There's no one there.
A
No. It's the world sport.
C
You just can't wait. Was this during COVID Yeah.
A
Okay. Potentially, ladies and gentlemen, as you watch it, you can't help but say, oh, no, that was not during COVID I believe that was it in the last week. Although they got.
H
I was gonna say Covid.
E
There's not many fans.
A
Nobody there. Dan, we get it. Okay. Let's go to Garnet Hathaway. He goes to back it up on somebody. I'm gonna check you. Ah, actually. Oh, my God. Banana tailpipe sitch. Pause. That's tough. Boom. Worst place that he could potentially be going for an ass check and end up at. I mean, that's a situation there that could potentially be long term. I assume you got to get that checked, but you're certainly walking around a little bit like this for a while. He's skating like this for a while. I think people would say, Dano, when you see that, is your first reaction not. Oh, no. Don't you think, Dano?
H
Yeah, absolutely. My first reaction is I have no idea what the hockey padding setup is like. So I don't know if there is an actual pad on the back there.
A
There's no balloon knot. Doesn't look like it.
H
I don't know if they have no tailbone protector. I don't know. I don't know hockey like that.
A
I don't think it's a tailbone we're worried about there. Is it? I think we're worried about more so south.
B
Yeah.
H
Who didn't shut that door on the
A
team for not shutting the door.
E
Locked that thing.
A
And that's what he said, I think. Come on. You saw my ass coming. Yeah.
H
We need a double or triple padded.
A
Whatever the case, when you look at that, you can't help but say, oh,
C
no.
A
All right, let's just stay in hockey. Let's go to Avalanche. Parker Kelly in the middle of a little bit of scrum there with boldy. Who can eat it? Oh, the ref. The ref can get it right in the. The face. Engage.
H
He doesn't blink, though.
A
Yeah. Well, that's hockey, and that's why we're punk.
E
Boom.
A
And he takes a shot at him. Shot.
H
Chief. Shot.
A
Well, hockey says any Shot's a good shot, I think.
E
Square it up.
D
Little face wash. Boom.
A
FA punch to the ref. You can get it, bie. You can get it. Oh, you're breaking us up, huh? That's cute. How about this? Boom. Left hook around the guy. I'll tell you what, the entire situation for the linesman makes us go, oh, no. And obviously, Dano, you know this from go. Every once in a while, the sun's going to make you look like an asshole. Seb Strauca says, hey, you know what? Everybody take a look at this. Whoa. Oh, no. Sepp, you know, got to get some lotion on that. And then let's go to South Korea, shall we? This is an MMA league organization down there. That's basically like South Korea versus the world. No, it's Felipe Pereira, who's going to be doing a lot of the antics before the fight, and then as Hyuk Min Ji, who does a lot of the dancing afterwards. That's a big one there. You better win.
H
Who wins the fight.
A
Anytime this comes up in the sporting world. That's two. Boom. That's three.
G
Boom.
A
That's four. And then also, remember what you did earlier? Yeah, a little bit of that. Hey, Felipe. All that talking when he got into the action, it was one big. Oh, no. I like selling the fight, though. I do appreciate it. Fantastic. And that was the oh, no train there. Thank you for joining us there, Dan Orlovsky. And that's about all the time we have for you today. I'm joking. I'm joking, Daniel. Okay, let's dive into some football talk after the. Oh, no, I got nothing going on.
G
You're good.
A
Yeah, you tell me. Well, you're saving the world by fighting the alien files. It sounds like. Yeah, sounds like that's what you got going on for the next, I don't know, month or so of your life.
H
I just don't believe aliens are real. I used to argue with Stafford about this all the time.
A
Stafford says, hey, Dano, you know, Stafford's
H
a big space guy. I don't know exactly where he stands on aliens, but he's obsessed with outer space, but. Or intrigued by it.
A
Yeah, I think a lot of us on this particular show are as well. So obviously, stat. Stafford's like that. Obviously. That's our mvp.
D
Makes sense.
A
That's our mvp. He's thinking like that.
H
Our mvp, huh?
E
Not all of ours.
A
Yeah, I mean, he's our MVP. He's the NFL's MVP. That's. We view ourselves as NFL people. It makes sense. That he's a space guy in the entirety of it all. What if somebody showed you direct evidence that they were real, though? You would still have to not believe it. Is that how you are or you.
H
No, no, no. I could get into that, but we don't. To my knowledge. I'm not the smartest person. I don't think we've ever seen direct evidence.
D
Kind of right.
H
That aliens are real.
A
I don't know. The alien files are out today. Department of War said, hey, here they are. What's coming out? We don't know. I saw a bunch of this, though. I saw a bunch of these things just out there. Yeah, there it is right there, Dana. It's right there. Yeah.
H
I don't know what that is. I. I don't.
G
I don't.
H
What is that?
A
Clearly what it is. Yeah, that's what we're saying.
D
I do want to see them. I need to see them, though. It's. I. Great. This is their ship. Whatever.
A
Yeah. I need to see what's inside. Yeah.
E
Get one of those.
A
Yeah. I need to shake one of their hands. You know, I want high five in
D
Times Square in a glass bot box.
A
I want Oklahoma Drill. One of these things.
E
Yeah.
A
You know. Yeah. Maybe a show.
D
I want an alien zoo.
E
Every main city needs one in a box that everyone can go and look
A
and ask questions to.
E
Yes.
A
And it has to because even a video now.
H
So your. Your team. Your team aliens are real.
A
Me, I'm team. They're definitely possible. Yeah, definitely.
D
More likely than not.
A
Yeah.
H
And then are you team, like they are, like, from the movies visually, or they're people on Earth?
A
I don't know. I don't know. There's been so many things, like the gray people conversation, you know, like that whole thing. There's been a lot of that. Yeah. That is a tiny little jug there.
G
I don't know.
A
Make sure you don't get enough hydration. There's just a lot of conversation about them, a lot of different descriptions of them. I don't know. Hopefully these files will lead to us seeing them. And once again, I would like to think that if they're so damn sophisticated and educated that they can get to us for files to even be open, that if they did want to wipe us out, they would already done that. So I would like us to potentially, if they do exist, which I'm open to the idea that they certainly do. I'm certainly open to that idea. I would just like us to work with them. You know, this is like, AI inevitable. Let's work with AI, you know, and let's remember that we can unplug AI Right.
D
Did you happen to see the old X Files episode that was going around this week?
H
Oh, I hated X Files.
A
Did.
D
Did you see what was going around? Scully and Mulder, dude. In one of the episodes, the aliens released a virus.
A
I don't want to hear it.
D
Guess what the virus was. Guess what the virus was.
F
See haunt them.
A
No, that's real. I don't want to be haunted by these haunted stories. That's just an explanation because I think I saw. What was it? What NFL player tweeted Tyrone Matthew. Tyrone Matthew tweeted hantavirus in 2020 or something like that. Let's. Hey, football, please.
D
I'm not worried anymore.
A
With that being said, I would like the Colts to sign one of these things if they are out there. Oh, sure, sure. Because I know they can figure out the Alien draft.
D
Draft, like supplemental draft would be cool.
A
Yeah. Think about them getting to the quarterback.
D
It has to be a separate boom
A
all of a sudden. The culture winning the Super Bowl, I mean, this is what I'm here for. Let's move to NFL.
D
Even with it Alien, they probably still would.
A
You see what they did? They disappeared. They came back. Magic Man. Now you see me, now you don't. Somebody goes put their hands on. Yeah, absolutely. Tough to block. Yeah, that's. That's what we're talking about, though. That's what I'm saying. That's why we need to learn. That's why we need to talk. We need to keep these open minds because our football teams might get better from this. And if we win a Super bowl because of an alien, I'm cool with it. I'm still going to the parade. Now, speaking of parades, Pittsburgh Steelers. The hell's going on over there, Dano, in your eyes? There was mixed reports going on, a lot of mixed reporting going on within Pittsburgh. Doran Dickerson scorn. Doran Dickerson went to Pitt, played in the NFL. He's part of 93. 7 the Fan. He reported yesterday morning that he heard that Aaron Rodgers was coming in this weekend. And I don't know if he reported the sign or not. Sign. Ian Rapport quote tweets goes. Yep, they're planning for him to come out there and do it. Then we're hearing reports that, no, it's not happening. With all this being, it seems like Aaron Rodgers going to be the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, but it is not beneficial and we have no idea. What are your thoughts on the situation that's brewing over there and are the Pittsburgh Steelers with Mike McCarthy who are definitely in win now mode. I think with the higher going to be able to do as such next year.
H
No, what's best for the team is that Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback. What's best for the organization is that anybody but Rodgers is the quarterback.
A
Okay.
H
I think with Aaron, with Aaron as their starting quarterback, they are a fringe playoff team. They're not going to be better than Buffalo, New England, Baltimore, Cincy, Houston, Jacksonville, the Chargers, Denver. So you gotta hope that one of those eight or nine teams doesn't play well and you kind of shoot over your skis. I think they're a nine win team with Aaron and that's why I say with the team. Yeah, like I get it because there's Pam Hayward and TJ Watt and Jalen Ramsey. Some of these, you know, long obviously two longtime Steeler veterans, Hall of Famers, all three of them, they want to win now. And so for the, this, this team, this 2026 version, the best thing is to have a quarterback as good as Aaron playing. But for the organization it's not because you're just going to be picking at 20 again. Tone, you may know this. It blew my mind. The Steelers have had two top 10 picks since 1990.
A
Yeah. Winning season.
H
And so it's great. Two top 10 picks since 90 and one of them is the 10th pick. And so I just, I can understand and appreciate the history of the organization and the consistency of the organization. But what's best for them is to fall back this year and to not be good and try to gather a top 10 pick and figure out the long term spot at quarterback.
A
Okay, so you think they hired Mike McCarthy, they still have TJ, Cam Hayward, all the vets on the build in the building. Right. All the olds, they still got a lot of the olds that have been around for a long time to kick it in a year.
H
No, I don't. I said this to you guys a month ago. Aaron's going to be deserting quarterback. I said write it in pen. That's happening. But that's what's best for the team is not what's best for the organization. This is one of those situations that what is best for the team is for Rogers to be the quarterback because that group can win. But what's best for the organization long term is not.
A
Okay. So I can understand where you're coming from strictly because a lot of of Steelers fans have been feeling this way about Tomlin. You talk about the two top 10 picks. That's because they're always winning enough games. But they never win enough games and they never lose enough games. So they've been there in the middle of the draft, literally for 20. It's like purgatory. But do you think the team next year, no matter who is in purgatory, does Aaron keep you in purgatory? I guess, is what Dan Orlovsky is saying. But what if Dano. What if Dano doesn't realize that? Maybe because Honda. Maybe because everything going on at this Aaron Rodgers in Mike McCarthy's offense.
H
Hunter.
A
Exactly. I love what you're doing. Just keep doing what you're doing, bro.
E
Tunnel vision.
A
Don't worry about anything at all. Just. Just don't worry about anything. What is this? Hunt this guy.
E
Wake up.
A
How. Where. How big is a rock? Is the rock come with the house that you live under? Like, I don't understand.
H
Am I supposed to know?
A
Nope, you're not. You're supposed to know.
E
Everyone knows that.
A
It's an entity for sure. And I think you'll just go ahead and sit back. Just sit back. Make sure you stay back.
D
We are on the Internet a lot. I talked to a group yesterday. I was the only one that knew what it was.
A
Okay. So I guess, yeah, that is the difference. We found ourselves.
C
We.
A
We know we live on the Internet, so we. We kind of hear everything happening. You live in film, so we'll keep you updated on stuff. Just know the haunted thing.
B
Thing.
A
Yeah, there it is. Dan, where do you live? Down there.
D
Patrick Star's house, right?
H
Isn't that SpongeBob?
D
No, SpongeBob lives in a pine. Pineapple under the sea.
A
Dude, I did not know that. I would have. Right there. I believe that's his neighbor.
D
I believe it's Patrick Starr's house.
E
Or I guess he's two down. He's next to Squidward.
A
All right. Anyways, don't worry about anything, but let's talk about this Steelers team. Do you think they can win at all? Because if you can win another super bowl, that's the only thing that matters. That's literally the only thing.
D
I agree with the majority of what Dan said. I. I do think they will be a better team this year with Aaron because of the coaching change. Will it be enough to get to the Super Bowl? Probably not.
H
No.
A
Geez.
D
I said that, Dan. I just said that. There was a lot of gingers and me included. When, you know, Aaron, like, when he's still not back, but was like, hey, let's fuck it. Let's go with Will this year. Either you find your quarterback for the future, he surprises people, Dan being one of them, or you win four games and you get your quarterback of the Future in the 2027 draft, which is supposed to be much better. A lot of people were hoping for that, but the coaches don't want that. The players do not want that. I don't even know if the organization wants that at all. So we'll obviously not. Because, you know, they wanted Aaron back. But no, I agree with a lot of some of the teams that he said would be better I didn't agree with. But you know, a lot of with what he said was right.
A
Yeah. And he left off the Colts, obviously. The AFC is certainly, certainly stacked. AJ Your thoughts on your friend Aaron Rodgers being in the middle of a conversation around the Pittsburgh Steelers yet again? It feels like this is back to back years of this. And then it was the jets before that that it was Packers. Like anything Aaron does is always going to be a conversation. I think he knows that. I think we all understand that. But this one has become so dynamic, I think because the way the fans who are die hard and loyal and would be if you want, are at the point of feeling like if this guy who already knows what the building's like, already knows who the coach is, already knows everything, doesn't want to come back. What are we waiting around for? And I think Mike's waiting around and I think Omar's waiting around. I think the Steelers are waiting around just like they were last year. But fans can't really comprehend that.
C
It feels like AJ Yeah, well, fans aren't talking, having conversations with Aaron and his representatives as we've seen. Omar has said that and coach Mike like since he's been on the job, I guess so they obviously feel like from their dialogue they have had with Aaron and his side that, that he's gonna, you know, they're gonna figure things out, I guess. Doesn't it seem like that we're almost in June right now and it's still up in the air, so.
B
Yeah.
C
And I know Dan says it's not best for the like the organization of the franchise, but I guess it's just short term. Long term, right? Like short term. It's obviously better for him, but I just don't know how it can be a plan though. Hey, we need to lose enough games to where we get to pick high enough to get our next franchise quarterback. I think that's hard to sell to anybody.
A
I don't think Steelers fans are Necessary. I mean, they talk about it in theory, but then doing the season, I
D
mean it hasn't happened in 20 plus years. Rookie minute camp starts today and then mandatory minicamp starts June 2nd. So I mean we're. We still have a few weeks before mandatory minicamp and. And other guys getting reps isn't necessarily the worst things, but we'll see.
A
Okay, so Omar Khan did a Westwood One interview earlier today. Omar Khan on Aaron Rodgers to Chris Mack on Sirius. Okay. Also serious, I don't know where specifically
D
Aaron is in the world.
A
I think that's kind of what that could be. I can tell you that Aaron and I and coach and Aaron and Aaron's representatives have had good conversations since season ended and since Mike got hired. It's been positive. But yeah, I don't know where he is at this moment. Okay. Could be in the building. Maybe he's downstairs. Equipment room.
D
Oh, could be.
A
Maybe he's in a bathroom. Maybe he's in a locker room.
D
Probably. He's probably up to his ears in these areas. Alien files. If we're being honest, he was probably gonna come and then he heard that the files were getting released and he's like, well, I don't have time for the Steelers right now.
C
He's had the file. See you tomorrow.
A
Yeah, he already knows a lot. I'm a little bit worried that if you are on the Internet, you know a lot of these files that are potentially getting released. So I'm a little bummed.
D
But Aaron's not on the Internet. Remember, he's always there. He gets all of his info from Mia, his sister.
E
Come on.
A
In law.
D
In law.
E
That's. Which is also your sister in law now.
A
You son of a. Yeah, because you're.
D
Well, he hasn't signed yet, so
A
let's talk about more things that happen around the NFL world. Joe Burrow looks super cool out and about. He also was training with the Bengals just yesterday. He had a. A full sled on as they are continuing to work out during the spring. They have the. The sports bra catapult sports bra.
E
So cool.
A
But he has the black shirt underneath it so it looks cool and off. Obviously Joe Burrow is going to look cool whenever he does anything. Running full speed, obviously seems to be pumped. Do you think Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have a big bounce back this year, Dan Orlovsky?
H
I do right now. That would be my pick to win the division. I think it's obviously a huge year for Cincinnati for Joe. That's why they make the trade for Dexter Lawrence, a bunch of new starters on defense that just have to pay off for them two years ago. Joe Burrow has this historic season in NFL history. It's one of the great quarterbacking and offensive seasons we've seen. And they don't get into the playoffs because the defense is equally historically bad. I have very little doubt that if everyone's healthy on this offense, it'll be a top five offense. Now, part of that's got to be Joe. Joe has to own some of the health of his own career. They've got to protect him. I thought the offensive line was better last year, but it's still a challenge, right? Like, it's still been. The narrative is they haven't kept him clean, but if he's healthy and this defense just gets a little bit better. Yeah, this is the. For me, the pick to win the division and absolutely matter in the AFC playoffs. I think that it's a fascinating year in Cincinnati and in Philly for the quarterbacks because, you know, they're three straight years without the playoffs. They don't go again with what they've invested now into the team and kind of given Joe what is needed and wanted, at least by reports. Yeah, you could absolutely see it getting very noisy and. And him wanting. Him wanting out.
A
Okay, last question before we let you go because we got Action Bronson on the other side.
C
Whoa.
A
Cannot wait to talk to him. Chef, rapper, actor, content creator, respecter of aliens.
E
What?
D
Yes.
A
Unlike who we're talking to right now. These things are listening everything.
H
Thousands of years. We got no evidence.
A
They just released all the files.
C
What about Dan? Might be a hybrid. He's trying to throw us off pyramids.
E
Oh, yeah, for sure. An alien would run out of the back of the end zone.
D
Maybe to throw us off.
A
An absolute burial. There was no reason for that. Holy shit.
E
That's on aj.
A
That was so quick and so rude.
E
That's on aj.
A
So quick and so rude.
C
You're right.
A
Complimented Aliens buried Dano.
E
That was on aj.
G
Jay.
A
Jay. You know what, Dan? Have a great weekend, man.
H
Honestly, it was a great time.
D
You didn't have fun doing? Oh, no.
E
That was not part of the plan.
A
You're a part of the show. You're a part of the show.
H
No, great time, Great time.
A
What do you have this weekend? You watching May Mayhem?
H
No, I got bunch of sports tonight. Wife's going out for a girls night in New York City.
A
Whoa, nice. Big night for Dana with the kids.
D
Thought you were lacrosse guy. You're not going to watch.
E
Yeah, what the hell?
H
This weekend I'll be at. I'll be at games all day tomorrow and Sunday, so. Mother's Day Sunday. Don't be an idiot, boys.
D
Don't be an idiot.
A
Good call. Actually. That's a great call. Reminder to everybody.
H
Mother's Day Sunday.
A
Yes, it is.
E
Oh, Mother's Day.
A
We thought about these things because we appreciate them. Yeah, Mother's Day.
C
Thank you.
H
Mother's Day.
D
Mother's Day.
H
I think my son's play Fairfield on Sunday. Connor.
E
Oh, look out.
A
That's a strong program.
E
Tell you what, they know how to play.
A
How old? What are we playing?
H
Very good. Eighth grade. So my sons are four months from last week. Dude, last week we had a lot of change in the Orlovsky household. Wednesday afternoon all three boys got braces. And then the next day I had to pay off the bet with them. And they got cell phones on Thursday.
A
Oh, huge. Holy hell. You got to be monitoring that thing. You better have eyes on all these phones.
H
Yeah, yeah, I'm all over it. I'm all over it.
G
It.
A
Once Haunta gets in there, maybe this is how you learn about the world.
H
So is this like an Internet thing?
E
Yeah, yeah, everyone's doing it.
C
Do the.
A
Don't do the Haunter. Do the hana. We don't want to do the Haunter.
H
I'm not doing anything.
D
Dude,
A
Don't do the Haunter. You don't want to do it, Dan. Just keep it in your little bubble and we respect it. Ladies and gentlemen, that's Dan Orlonski.
E
Yeah, Dan.
A
Oh, he's a 12 year old boy.
D
Yeah, he is. He just got a cell phone too.
A
Yes, he did. He's about to learn a lot through their phones. But he's not gonna know how to wash their phones. I mean there's. Somebody's gonna have to walk him through that whole. Ladies and gentlemen, a man joining us now has another album released today called Planet Frog. One of the greatest brains that I've ever encountered. I know him from the hosting shows. That's delicious. Watch along of ancient aliens amongst many workout stuff amongst my. Also rapper, obviously. Album released today.
E
Yep.
A
Actor, Massive New York Knicks fan. Ladies and gentlemen, legend, Action Bronson. Yeah. What's up, Chef?
B
What's up, fellas? How are you guys?
A
Hey, life is good for the Knicks right now, huh? Looks like you guys are really going to go on a run. You got an album release release. The Knicks don't look like ass. This is a good time for Action Bronson, I would assume. Oh, no, he's Gone. Oh, God.
E
Jeez.
A
That's Action Bronson football right there, by the way. Exactly.
C
Yeah. There's a Matt McConaughey movie right there. Inception. Oh, is that Matt McConaughey?
E
No. Yeah, that's McConaughey.
A
Okay, so. No.
E
Oh, it's not.
A
That's legal, is it?
E
Oh, I thought you said interstellar. Inception.
C
Interstellar. I'm thinking interstellar.
A
Exception is the. The dream.
E
Yeah.
C
Leo with the little top.
E
The dream inside a dream inside a dream.
C
Yeah, that's right.
A
What is severance? Is severance a dream? No.
E
Severance.
C
No.
E
Severance is a choice. It's an operation itself.
A
But is that what you are when you drink? Ladies and gentlemen, join us now, fresh out of the Action Bronson.
B
Oh, some called me just now and broke it all up from Portugal. Sorry.
A
No, hey, no problem. Anytime you're getting calls from Portugal, we know that's a good thing. You know, Action Bronson's cooking up all over the world. You got to do what you have to do. Can you tell me about life right now? For you, other than getting Portugal calls in the middle of a conversation? Album drop. Knicks are for real. How's life for action right now?
B
I feel great, man. Inside, I'm battling demons, but on the outside, I'm happy.
A
Well, at least you got music to kind of let the demons speak for themselves. Obviously, Triceratops started taking gh. You did.
B
I want to.
A
Well, hold on. So what, are you gonna get jacked? Because you do have moments where you get super jacked up, especially with the working out.
B
Fully jacked.
C
Bam.
D
Properly jack.
B
Look at this thing.
A
Yeah, I mean, we go full screen on that thing, so we can see. Go ahead. You need to get up in the. In the screen a little bit. We didn't get to see the full thing. Nah, wait until.
B
Wait until. You'll know when I'm on the G. You'll know when I'm on it. Not yet.
A
What is your head gonna. What do you think will go most? The head's gonna be giant.
B
Barry Bonds. I'm gonna. I'm gonna hit 75 over.
A
Tell me about this Knicks team this year. Action. You think you can actually win it all with your squad or.
B
No, I like the way they look. We have a deep bench. I'm telling you, the guys got heart. They want to win. I mean, we have a path. It's going to be a rough one, but I'm.
A
Every year.
B
When is it ever easy for us? It's never easy.
A
Well, I think tournament's not Easy for anybody, you know, it's the best teams out there. Action sounds a little dramatic. The New Yorker saying, you know, Knicks fan saying it's always going to be your. Your garden. People say the hardest place to play or best place to play. How do you feel about the Mecca and why is it viewed that way?
B
You think Mecca is. It's. It's intimidating to people because, you know, some. Some of the. The greatest sports ventures ever have ever happened in there. Classic fights, the motherfucking Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus pulls up, you know, house shows, WWF 1987, WrestleMania 10 things happen at the Garden. One of my favorite things that I've ever watched was Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler was one of the craziest fucking. I can't even believe that that was the. One of the loudest times ever. It's just an intimidating place, but it is the most electric arena there is.
A
And I think that's been on display every single NBA playoffs. The Knicks inevitably break the heart parts at the end. Is this the year that Brunson goes absolutely crazy? Tell me about the album release. Action. So what is today? Doing a lot of chat about the album, bouncing around, letting it just kind of hit send and let the world kind of deal with it. What is life on album?
B
Yeah, that's. I just. I let. I'll let it hit send. Let it. Let everyone deal with it. I'm just talking to you. I only have capacity for one.
A
Tell me about your life. It seems like you pick and choose to do whatever the hell you want at this stage. How long has it been like, this
B
is the way it is, you know, like I broke my leg and stopped, you know, like something unlocked was like DMT straight to my neck. Like Nuke, RoboCop too, you know, like bar right up. It's like it was inserted and then I haven't stopped since. I just feel great. I'm ready. I'm just ready. I'm ready to run through a wall right now, to be honest.
A
Well, you look fantastic. We've been reading through some of your lyrics and the way your brain pieces work together. Absolutely love. Can you tell me about the alien files being released? I watched some ancient aliens alongside you and your friends. Plenty of nights on my life. How do you feel about the files getting out there? How do we feel about it?
B
I don't know. I don't. I don't like to read files, you know, I like to see substance. I like to see things.
F
Yes, yes.
B
At the end of the day, I I've been places. I was just in Teotihuacan, you know. I was at the Temple of the sun giving praise. I was at the Temple of the Moon giving praise. Like, literally, this was. I've seen. I've been. I've been to the other side too many times to not believe. You see behind me. You see that? Hold on. That should. Right. I can't even get it. Nice. There's five frogs.
A
Yep.
B
That's like the five. That's like the five Italian families.
D
Yes.
A
Okay. You know those five frogs?
B
Five Meo.
A
Okay, I like that. Lucchese. What?
B
Gambino.
E
What?
B
Banano.
A
What? You know what I mean.
B
Genovese.
A
Why?
B
I just smoked some crazy hash.
A
Yeah. Okay. Got it. We nailed it. As soon as we started the Watts, you knew you had to finish it. You didn't know when you were going to be able to get there. I respect the moment. I respect what just happened there.
B
I'm with my man Connie, Gorgeous, right now. We used to drive uptown to 172in autobahn 6 times a day with 10 on it.
A
Shout out. Connie, you guys made it. You guys made it. Connie, you guys made it. Too.
B
Crazy. Any car we could find.
A
Yeah.
B
Now we're here.
A
Look at.
B
Now we're here, baby.
A
Look at you. Five frogs, smoking hats, dual G99 M5s.
B
One sedan, one Taurus.
A
You're the best. Action. Connor has the last question for you, sir.
E
Yeah, actually, it's incredible.
B
I'm going to be at UFC on Saturday. Yes.
A
Okay, thank you. Any other. Any other scheduling?
B
I was at Chamayev. Yes.
A
Oh, well, okay.
E
Good to know. That's a little bet on everything you say. Sounds like a lyric. It's probably the coolest thing I've ever heard in my life. Is it hard for you to stay locked in on one thing because you can basically do so many other things?
B
Yes, obviously. That's an obvious fucking thing.
A
Yes.
E
So how do you. How do you handle that when. When you can do so many things, but you have to kind of lock in on one?
B
You sit and do nothing. You just let it settle for a second. You just take patience. It's like Lamaze. You just have to breathe through it.
D
I'm good.
B
Lamaze class, you know, like every good sniper should take Lamaze classes. Control the heart rate, you know this.
A
Control the body.
B
You know this.
A
Do you want to do a Lamaze class right now? Maybe. Do you want to lead us in a little breathing exercise?
B
I just did Ty Ball with Billy Blanks. Remember the Last boy Scout. Yeah, I remember the last boy scout.
A
Yeah.
B
That's all I cared about. I was just like, yo, it's bugging out. Because I watched him and Bruce Willis, Damon Wayans, every day. I love that movie. I got it on vhs.
A
Did you do double. That's a great movie. Yo.
B
I have 2,000 VHS tapes. That was my. That was my inheritance from my grandfather.
A
Shout Out. Rest in Peace, by the way. To the legend. Fiddler's list.
B
Fucking RoboCop. One, two, three. Walt Disney. Mute. Like the King and I. Yeah.
A
Home Alone.
B
American me.
A
Home alone for sure.
C
You got a VTR still.
A
You gotta be still.
B
Home alone. I mean, you kidding me? Like, let me think about what else every. Lethal Weapon, duh.
D
Die Hard, three Ninjas.
B
Die Hard, Cyborg.
A
Yeah, the Matrix.
B
Depressed it.
D
O. Heavyweights.
A
You got 2,000. We're gonna be here for a while. Crazy.
B
I told Ben Stiller I needed to be in heavyweights, too.
A
He a lot of traction about this. We talked to him yesterday. He said he'd be interested in having heavyweights, too. I think you'd be great in it, obviously.
B
I mean, bro, I lived it, man. I could. I could get candy anywhere.
A
Are we gonna. I thought we were gonna potentially go through your 2000. VHS is right there. I thought we were going to potentially.
B
I mean, I know the whole top row of my mother's dresser, right?
A
You're the greatest. Okay.
B
It's like Showboat Beaches. There's a lot of Bette Midler.
A
Yeah, Bet Midler. Legend, by the way, Back in the day, obviously. Vhs.
B
Serious, serious.
A
Imagine dropping into the VHS era and tell them about what we have now. Now, on that note, one thing that
B
you crush own, by the way. Gary Busey. Wesley Snipes, baby. That was right next to Beaches, okay?
A
Gary Busey's been through it, you know. Gary Busey's been living some great moves.
B
He was also great in Under Siege, too.
A
Oh, yeah, he was underrated there. Under. When you watch.
B
That's a huge one.
A
When you watch the VHS. Is that in 360? Like 380. How's the quality?
B
It's. It's on the TVs on a stand and then the VCR set up underneath it. It's like a little metal thing. And then I have a rewinder next to it. Yeah, it's like one of those pieces of that they used to roll into the classroom.
A
Yeah, I got you. Yeah. Yeah. I got those good days. Substitute teacher days. Okay, let's talk about something I'm not
B
trying to mess around with it. Because these are precious pieces of film.
A
That's right. They are precious pieces of film. That was back when they were filmed, actually. You know, as opposed to digital.
B
I mean, it's on actual tape. It's on. It's on tape.
A
That's because you respect the art, obviously.
B
I really do. I'm of the arts. I'm of the land and of nature.
D
Oh, yeah.
A
I mean, you really are. I think that is something we would all.
B
I mean, I'm a seaman. If there's anything. I am.
A
Yeah.
B
I am a semen.
A
Yeah, you certainly are, Coxman.
B
Semen. We're all semen.
A
Well, at one point, but I'm gonna.
B
I'm truly a water man.
A
Okay. Out there in the. In the lakes or the rivers.
B
No, on ocean. In ocean, I need lots of waves. I need. I need sets from Tibet.
A
Of course.
B
I need to be out. I need to be out during the hurricane when it's 18 degrees with Western.
A
Are you going belly up or belly down?
B
No, no. Me, I only boogie. I'm a sponger. I'm a dick dragger.
A
Yep.
B
I write, I write. I ride a boogie oui board, AKA a bodyboard.
D
Yep.
B
I'm head first like a crocodile. Only see now around. Who the hell is this?
A
I'm saying Portugal. Is that a call for Portuguese?
B
This is the second. I. I didn't. Hold on. Nah, this. I.
A
Let me hold on.
B
There it is.
G
All right.
F
Boom.
A
All right. Boom.
B
We. We made it. Good, though. Someone's. They're always trying to catch me.
A
Never.
B
No one calls me when I'm not doing anything. And then when I'm doing something, this is what happens.
A
Okay, we got about a minute and a half to a hard out. You are a chef as well, which I assume people picked up through this conversation we've had here thus far. Tone has the last question for you.
D
Yeah, you are action. And we talk. We talk about.
B
I think they would have picked that up from this.
D
Yes, definitely. Because you're a man of culture. You're a man of the world. You do everything. Action. We always talk about, hey, which country has the best food? Who has the best cuisine? Why is it Italy?
B
Recently, I've been. Recently, I've been chasing the Silk Road. A lot of the stands. Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan.
D
Sure.
B
Uzbekistan. Good stuff.
D
Kazakh.
B
Some of my favorite kebab. Just interesting animals under the ground. Some of my favorite stuff.
A
Okay, last question here. Connor has it for you.
C
Yeah.
E
Actually, I have to ask, what are your thoughts on artificial intelligence? It feels like it is something that you would have some sort of take on that you've thought about deeply.
B
I mean, there's really not that much of a deep thought. Like, just think about this. Like, what the fuck are we doing right now?
D
Well said.
A
Who knows?
B
That's all you really need to think about. And then think about it is all this shit is ridiculous. It's all silly.
A
It is, it is. Everything's silly.
B
You gotta. You have to adapt to life. This is where we're at. You either fight for your right or you lay down and die.
A
See y' all Monday. Goodbye.
B
You good, baby?
A
Hey, that was a perfect wrap up there.
C
You're the man.
A
Action Buzz. You're the man.
C
He's amazing.
A

Bucks. I should have expected that. I. No, I do not put much thought into what that segment was going to be like. I just thought, man. I know. Action. Pretty good. I feel like we should be able to bop this thing around. I should have known he was coming in here. Brain wide open.
D
Did we know that he made the not my chair, not my problem video?
A
Yeah, it could have been him.
D
That's his voice tying kn. And that's his brain. I promise you that's him hanging on to every word. All I could think about the entire time.
E
Unbelievable.
A
Believable. Not my sidewalks.
D
Yeah, that's him.
E
Oh, Mr. Walk down me, Mr.
A
Walk down me. I'll lead you to Mr.
E
Path.
D
Think about how he just talked. His voice, his brain. And that video.
A
How about Connie, too? Back beside the. Behind the camera they used to drive that thing upstairs. Whatever. Whoever can get it.
E
Got sets from Tibet.
D
I loved you asking. You have problem? You got any issues sticking to one thing?
E
Yeah, obviously.
A
Is anybody watching this? Yeah. Hey, I feel like people could pick up that. You were a chef. You think they could pick that up from this? Yeah. No.
C
That's a valid question from him.
E
Got over 2000 VHS's.
A
I thought he was gonna list them all.
E
Gifted from my grandfather.
A
Inherited. Yeah. Rest in peace to the grandfather. I knew my mom's entire top row. She fucking loved Bette Midler. Gary Busey. God, I can't wait to relive.
E
That was incredible.
A
Hey, his album's available now and I'm
E
going to listen to the whole thing.
A
Five frogs, like the five families. What do you say? Fuck. I can't get out. You see it?
C
Yeah.
A
Oh, man.
E
Gave praise at the temple of the
A
moon and at a sun.
C
Yeah.
A
Action quickly into the Mount Rushmore of conversations on our show. Yeah, he was perfect. Feel good Friday.
F
Yeah, I was.
A
Action Brunson's name was mentioned to the program. I think it was like, Wednesday, dude. I was like, we're packed Wednesday. We cannot. We're so sorry. But we like Action Brunson, please. We would like him to know that we would definitely like him on a program. And we pitch. We appreciate you pitching somebody like people pitching people is very abnormal. So, like, we're very, very thankful for that. So then they're like, yeah, he's doing. It wasn't him. It was like people, you know, they're like, he's doing. He's got his album released, but he's also Knicks fan. We're trying to get him to do stuff. That's basically what they're saying. Think about trying to rally him. Oh, yeah.
C
Impossible.
E
I can't believe he was on.
A
So then they were like, Thursday. We could try to rally him in like the noon hour or whatever. I'm like, I think we got. I'm so. Please tell him Friday with him would be amazing. Anytime he's good on Friday. We would love to have him on a Feel Good Friday. 140 happened to be the perfect time.
D
Yeah.
A
Going right into the end of that.
D
Maybe 205 that time.
C
But it. Try to rally him. You said his people trying to rally him.
D
The amount of times we said, well. Well said.
C
Oh, yeah.
A
The amount of times that's been said to him.
D
Well said.
A
And I just love that he completely knows too. Like, uhhuh. Yeah. Think about what I just said. We got anything else to talk about? Nope, didn't think so. Let's keep it moving, man. Chef, rapper, actor, liver. Absolutely a liver beast. He's living.
H
Yeah.
A
There's a. About right now.
E
Just rolling through the Silk Road.
A
All the stance. He left one off, a couple off that I immediately thought of. I'm happy he didn't go there.
E
Might be closed off.
A
Let's make some picks on these games. Sports are up right now. Sports are up right now.
E
Sports.
A
We go to that graphic of the. The. Yep, right here. Hell yeah. Sports. We would like to celebrate this. This is certainly not ass. Sports are way up. Honestly, it makes us all wonder what. What. What people are doing before watching sports. You know, if all these people are becoming or coming back to sports or becoming sports fans or more people are getting access to watching sports. Whatever the case, we appreciate everybody diving into the sports world and we're very lucky to be a tiny part of this entire thing, aj but it feels like sports are up into the Right, pal?
C
Absolutely. I mean, we're in an awesome time for sports right now, especially since all like there. Every sport seems to deliver, especially when it comes to playoff time. So. Yeah, we are. It is true. Like, what do you do if you don't any sports? Like there are people that don't watch anything.
G
Like for.
C
When it comes to.
D
I think they read books.
A
Yeah. I. Is that it?
D
I think so.
C
Or like what kind of TV do they want? They watch stuff.
D
There's people that don't have TVs in their house, which is.
A
I. I assume you know those. What's that? Like trash tv? I say trash. I used to watch people.
C
No, like reality tv. Oh yeah.
A
Yeah. Like all that tv. I think the genre is actually trash tv. I'm not calling it trash. You're talking like lizard lick toeing.
D
No, no.
A
Like that would classify as old school. We're talking rock of love.
D
We're talking summer house. We're talking all that stuff.
A
Jersey Shore. All that type of stuff.
D
All my friends that don't watch sports, they. That is what they watch.
A
But you have a lot of friends that don't. That's interesting because I've been trying to figure out who in my life would I be able to ask information from about Don't. But I do think it's all those shows.
F
Yeah, they.
D
Yeah.
A
Addicted to those shows like Netflix has a bunch of them. Peacock has a bunch of. It's almost like the new soaps, like soap operas used to kind of carry the afternoon for everybody. Now it's like all these different series games and realities and shows from all these platforms. Because there's some of these platforms that I think are probably seeing magnificent spikes whenever one of their series pops off. When nothing else pops off. I watch my wife go over to like some platform that have not been on at all just to watch some show. And it's like they're just trying to create ways to get people to place. Sports have always reigned king, seemingly still king. But I like that there's some other shit kind of drawn attention around there for content. But sports up into the right is. Is a wild thing. Whenever you think about like the amount of money that's being spent on all this, the licensing, the contracts, the streaming platforms that seemingly have a bottomless pit of money trying to get into the game. And then news comes out. It's like YouTube might not have any, in effect NFL games. Netflix actually might pick up more NFL games. Amazon Prime, Are they going to get another game? It's like we're now in a world where every platform is trying to get in, at least on our league. And as these numbers continue to grow up, every one of these sport things are going to be the most profitable thing on television until television's no more. I mean, that's just kind of how it is. And I'm lucky I grew up only in the sports world, to be honest with you.
E
Yeah. Especially when, when we're talking about some of the biggest stars in all these sports. Like we mentioned the mlb. The MLB with the world baseball classics. One thing like having a player as fascinating as Shohei Ohtani in the league and you know, a Paul Skeens who's setting records that have gone back hundreds of years. Like even just that as an attraction. I, I don't like the Dodgers, but if Shohei Ohtani's on, you're gonna go watch him. It feels like there hasn't been a draw like that in the MLB in my lifetime. At least like there is right now.
D
Home run race.
E
That's in a bunch of sports. Yes, it's the home run race.
A
Yeah. Shout out to sports. Let's have a great weekend of sports. Let's make some picks for tonight. The NHL has two games. Canadians at Sabre, 7pm Eastern on TNT. Gold Knights at the Ducks, 9:30 on TNT. AJ who do you like? How do you like it in the first one In Buffalo.
C
I have a hard time picking against this Buffalo team. Obviously, everything they're doing on the ice, off the ice, I am a fan of. So give me Buffalo here.
A
Fresh off of Matthew Kachuk saying that the Buffalo Blade Gang could beat up all the other groups from all the other different places. Go ahead and consider me all in on the Buffalo Sabers. I like the Sabers. I like them to win it again. Congrats to them going up 2.0in our eyes, even though these Canadians are not going to go down lightly. Golden Knights, ducks, 9:30pm Eastern. We know Ty will be up. Yeah, we know Ty will be up for that kind of thing. Ducks or Knights, who do you like? How do you like it, A.J.
C
i mean, I like the Gold Knights. I've been riding with them since the beginning. I will continue. Jack Eichel and the boys will get it done.
A
I love the Knights as well. Give me the Ducks. They got Lorax as their coach. I love everything about the Ducks, especially them being at home up there. I think it's gonna go well. Let's go to the NBA tonight on Prime Knicks at Sixers. Knicks have been beating the hell out of everybody. The Hawks then into the six Sixers. Joel Embiid gets hurt. That kind of changes the entire storyline. Spurs at Wolves 11 tie. Ant man went into San Antonio, stole one. Wemby and the boys answered. Vasselle did a trick shot in the middle of a game. AJ who do you like in Knicks versus Sixers?
C
You know what? I'm gonna go with the Knicks here. It's Embiid is out, correct?
D
I believe questionable at the moment.
C
Question. Okay, I'm taking same. I'm taking the Knicks. I know Kendrick thought the Sixers were taking this one, right? I'm going to ride with the Knicks here.
A
Okay. So you, you wanted to point out publicly that you're opposing Kendrick Perkins.
D
Yeah, he did.
C
I honestly. It came out that way. It did not mean it to come out that way.
A
I love park, by the way. By the way.
C
I mean, he's amazing.
A
He is outrageous. Action Bronson needs maybe a once a week. Mike Foss, who was the connection between Action Brunson's group and us, really said this is both the best best and worst potential booking I've been a part of. And I said, no, best by far. We need more Action Brunson. I don't think everybody can pull off Action Brunson, but I like that Action Brunson's Action Brunsoning. So I think it's Spectacular. Do we have shams on Shams? Sharonia, ladies and gentlemen.
E
Yeah, Sh. No, we can't hear you.
A
What you said. We can see your face.
J
I took my AirPods off.
A
Hey, se. What you say?
J
I took my AirPods off.
A
Hey, Joel Embiid. What's he doing tonight? Is he playing or we. I think we read questionable is what we heard. But should we, we assume that questionable means out or should we assume questionable means in for Joel Embiid?
J
I think right now it is a situation where he's gonna probably end up going to the arena, warming up and then seeing how he feels. I can't tell you there's hope inside that Sixers building right now that he's going to be able to play, but they're not going to know with a guy like Joel Embiid until he gets the arena, sees how he feels. Not one on one, two on two. But with Joel Embiid, it's always about how he feels.
A
Okay, we appreciate. How about Spurs, Timberwolves, anything we need to know about there?
J
And Edwards in IO Dusumo in right now? I mean, I think this is one of the most physical and competitive back and forth series I think we're going to get. Obviously game two was a, was a blowout, but I think as it shifts back to Minnesota, I think we're gonna, we're gonna be in for, I think, think two very competitive games.
A
Okay, Knicks OG Anunoby, Kendrick Perkins said, let's rest him games three and games four. I think you reported he's day to day with a hamstring. What is the actual diagnosis as we sit today?
J
Yeah, I think a lot of people look at a hamstring strain and say, whoa, whoa, whoa. It's not like a day to day situation. But I was told by multiple people that I trust around the situation that this is a tweak of the hamstring. It's considered to be on the minor side of hamstring strain. This is not a severe hamstring strain. So he's going through treatment today. We'll see if he can play today. We'll see if he can play in game four. If he can't play tonight. I think the hope is that this is going to be a game to game, day to day thing, not a week long thing, which is good news for the Knicks and OG Anunoby. But the good news for them, it's not considered to be a serious strain and he's, he's trying to play tonight.
A
Okay. All right, well, we appreciate the hell out of you. Shams. You're even better when we can hear you. Ladies and gentlemen, with a drive by Senior NBA Insider, espn. Sham. Sh.
E
Yeah. Sh.
A
All right. So you like the Knicks tonight?
C
Yes, I do. And I think I agree with Perk that OG should sit out the next couple games for sure.
A
Hamstring's tough. Obviously, we don't. It looked bad. I mean, anytime you pull up, like, it's something, like, your body's not just doing that for no reason.
C
You can't, like, tough it out. Like it's an ankle spray. Like, you rolled it. Ankors.
E
And he tried to, like, right here. After he kind of tweaks it, he tries to die.
C
Yeah, he's awesome.
E
Yeah.
A
Yeah. We obviously are bummed out for him, but if the Sixers win tonight, then it gets hit. Is he back? You know, because. Wait a second. Do I want to take the Sixers tonight? No. Action Brunson. Give me the Knicks. I like the Knicks.
E
Bridges.
G
Scary for a little.
A
Bridges. Bridges. Ben Stiller. I mean, shrags. This is coming to New York by a show.
J
Don't love that.
A
You guys kind of took over our shit. We're out here in Indiana trying to stay away from these coastal elitists, and all of a sudden we got Action Brunson acting like he's not a coastal elitist. What was that? Was not. He's not supposed to be that likable. This guy's a New York Knick fan. This guy is supposed to be hateable. And then Ben Stiller comes on and goes, I didn't think it was going
G
to be a big deal.
A
Honestly, I did. I don't know what the big deal. I'm not even invited to the Met gal. I'm trying to get with a friend. It's like, Johnny, are we kind of carrying the New York Knicks water over here? Because we're kind of becoming a fan of them. Is that. Bruce, what the hell is going on with this program over here? And is. Is this partially because of you, you think? Is it? I will say, yesterday when Triggs was on In a. In a Knicks ball cap and we were FaceTiming Ben Stiller, I. I did think, wow, we are kind of doing it supporting the New York Knicks a. A little bit. Action Bronson's the man. And Mitchell Robinson is back as well tonight. He missed. Missed game two with an illness.
F
He's back.
A
So if Joel Embiid does not go, then we got two centers and they got one and Andre Drummond, and that could become A potential issue that covers up OGB now. Okay, sounds good. I appreciate the optimism coming from the Knicks fans. Action. Bronson knows there's a game tonight. I can't wait to see what his picks are. I'm going with the Knicks as well. Plus a point and a half. Spurs at Timberwolves. How do you see this going, AJ who do you like? How do you like it?
C
So I would not not mind seeing Minnesota win this game. But with that being said, I think the spurs will win and cover minus four and a half.
A
Yeah, I think Wemby loves going into that. Minnesota Timberwolves have not lost in Minnesota in like 14 straight or something like it. I forget the number. Tough barn. Tough barn.
C
And they're gonna need about 30 out of Go Bear.
E
Now you're gonna need 30 from eight.
A
Who you like? What do you.
C
I'll get it.
E
I. I like four and a half.
A
Compie. Who do you like?
D
Which one? I like the Timberwolves here.
A
It's kind of. Spurs always win after a loss. That's just what happens. Win and cover.
J
I like T Wolf at home.
D
That place is going to be rocking tonight.
A
All right, I'll go with you guys.
D
I'm on Spurs. Just want to get that out there.
C
Okay.
A
Foxy, who do you like? Yeah, Timberwolves home court advantage. Bruce, who do you like? I'm on the Spurs. Although I do love Julius Randall. I'm going with Timberwolves plus four and a half. Okay, great work in the back there this week, boys. Way to go. Good week, boys.
E
Good week, boys.
A
Graphic design, boys. Way to go. GDB way, baby.
D
Gbbs talk.
A
Way to go out there. Talk. Tell good, good stories. Bill, way to go with YouTube.
D
Hey, Bill Z.
A
Way good to our guests that stopped by. Thank you so much to everybody that sent me a text message telling me happy birthday. Thank you so much. Okay, I would like this message right here to be my response to your text message. I've. All week I've tried to slot some time. Like, okay, that's when I'll go through the text messages and respond and say thank you so much for the messaging. And then all of a sudden something comes up pretty big.
C
You don't need to.
A
We are in the middle of a gigantic up to something season right now. This might be the biggest up of something season of all time actually.
E
Probably.
A
Like, actually it's a lot, A lot has happened very quickly here. I mean, we have found ourselves in quite an up to something season. I. I mean we are prime up to something season we have prepared for this up to something season that's kind of dropped out of nowhere here. It's a lot of phone calls. A lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of. A lot of Shout out to the graphics, making graphics for these phone calls. Shout out to graphic makers on our phones, making sure graphic designs. You've seen some of the work come in through the group text, aj.
C

C

J

If you haven't tuned in, you missed a week-capping episode loaded with legitimate sports insight, breaking NFL news in real time, and the show’s signature blend of banter and unpredictability. Kendrick Perkins was in classic form delivering NBA playoff fire. Adam Schefter dropped breaking news while live at a Michigan fundraiser. Dan Orlovsky, for better and worse, became the unwitting mascot of the show’s “oh no!” segment and a skeptic in alien debates. And Action Bronson, living, rapping, and boogie boarding his way through the universe, closed the week with nearly indescribable energy. As Pat says: "We love that we’re alive right now." And sports, at least according to this show, are bigger, wilder, and more entertaining than ever.
