This is the Players Box.
C
Hi everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Players Box. I'm Desiree Krafczyk alongside Jenny Brady, Madison Keyes and Jess Pagula. A friendly reminder to give our podcast five stars and subscribe to our YouTube. As always, we very much appreciate it. All right, let's get into our unforced error of the week or winner of the week. Jessica, start us off.
D
Well, I had one, but Jenny told me the cutting my finger was boring. So I just did slice my finger for the third time in 10 days. But I decided to go with this one. So you remember how I asked you guys if we could start start at 6:30 because I had a photo shoot. Well, that photo shoot was is tomorrow, so we actually could have started at 6. And I don't literally did not realize that until I texted you guys five o' clock. And I was like, hey guys, we can still start at six if you want.
B
And I was like. And then.
D
Jenny in our other chat, it's somehow whatever. So then I had to out myself and I was like, I messed that up. So that was mine, Maddie.
B
So today I was hitting and I was taking volleys and I do not have Dez's reaction at the net. And the ball clipped the top of the net and hit me in the boob.
Tried to play it off and be like, no, it's fine. Like it's fine, but. But it hurt so bad. Like two minutes later I was just like standing there just in the middle of the court, like rubbing my boob because I just how it hurts.
That's rough, Des.
Well, I have a winner of the week.
C
I had to go to the DMV and get my California license renewed and.
B
I passed so that was my win.
E
That was today.
B
That was today.
C
And I was doing as I was sitting there waiting for my number to be called, I was like, okay, I better go look on Quizlet Online and just see what the questions are. Because, you know, it's. It's been a long time. I was 18 when I lasted my test and I went into my or. I texted you guys the pic or the question was like, what do you do when a car cuts you off? And I was like, well, honk. Like, of course. So. But, like, this was just a question of. Just, like, I don't know. On Quizlet Online, but my actual test, there was a question that says, when in these situations will you honk? And I just started laughing. And the lady was like, why are you laughing? This is a test.
B
And I was like, oh.
C
Oh, nothing. Like, I know the answer.
B
And I was like, what is the answer?
C
But it was just really funny because we were talking about honking. So that was my win. I passed. Just waiting for my license. So go me, Jenny.
B
Jenny has the giggles today. No, my favorite is no. When.
E
Okay.
B
Okay.
E
So when we were in Buffalo at Jesse's charity gala, there were dogs there. There were puppies. And so first thing I did, as soon as I walked in, saw puppies, and we went over to the puppies, and I was like, oh, look at the puppies. And they're like, you can hold them. And I was like, oh, great. So I picked one up, and I was holding him, I think, and he peed on me within the first, like, three minutes of stepping foot into.
Into the gala. And I was like, but it wasn't. It wasn't, like, a lot, you know.
C
So an excitement pee.
E
Yeah, it was. He was excited for me to hold him. I don't blame him. But.
Yeah, he peed on me. And then I was like, oh, I think he peed. And then like 10 minutes later, 15 minutes later, I was like, oh, my gosh. I was just, like, sniffing. And I was like, I smell pee. I was sniffing my arm. Like, I was like, smell. Smelling my armpits. And I was like, where is this pee? And Jesse's friend. I was like, I think the dog peed on me. And she's like, oh, okay. Like, let's go get perfume. She had perfume with her. So she, like, sprayed, like, my entire body, like, entire dress, which was Jesse's dress. So she sprayed Jesse's entire dress. And then, like, I was. I found the spot. Like, it was, like, right on my chest. And I was like, it literally just reeked of pee. So then we went back and she literally just sprayed that spot, like, three times. We were like, okay, I think we're good.
D
She just came up to me in the middle of the party and she's like, jenny got peed on. And I was like, what? A dog peed on Jenny and it smells so bad.
B
And I was like, what do you.
D
Want me to do about it? Like, I don't know. And she's like, I just sprayed her with perfume. And I was like, okay, see you.
B
Thank you.
D
Like, I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Yeah.
C
So, okay, who won? Wow. We got some good unforced errors this week, to be honest.
B
Yeah. I mean, I think Jenny, I feel like.
C
Yeah, well, yeah, but getting hit in the boob, I mean, that doesn't.
E
Yeah, that's not.
B
At least I didn't walk around a party smelling like dog pee, so.
C
Yeah, that's true.
E
I was pretty funny for four hours.
C
But you got that one. You win that one.
E
Yeah. Jess, did you ever get that dress dry cleaned?
D
It's literally sitting by my front door because I need to go take the dry cleaned, like on the floor. It's trash right now.
E
Well, Mabel might think it's, you know.
D
A spot to be. I know. You know, I thought about that. I think I maybe put it in my car then because it was by my door and I was like, oh, I don't want her, like, peeing again on this. Like, she's like, oh, this is where you're supposed to pee be.
C
No, I think we need to give a honorary unforced error mention to Serena Williams of the headline of her being reinstated into the tennis anti doping testing pool. And the tennis media was going bananas because of her potential return to tennis, but I think she shut that down and said she's not coming back. Was Wildfire is crazy. Everyone just went nuts about it. But anybody have any thoughts on that headline?
B
Well, I think the unforced error goes to, like, the tennis media that, like, totally ran with it. And she tweeted like two hours later and was like, no.
E
Yeah, yeah.
D
It was wild though.
B
We didn't do fact checking.
C
Maybe.
D
Yeah, yeah.
B
Everyone just really excited.
D
Yeah.
C
Assumed.
D
I think everyone assumed when they saw she was registered back into the. That anti doping. But also, why was she registered back in.
E
We don't know.
Maybe they're onto something.
D
But actually, I. We. I guess we don't know. But she literally just said, this is crazy. No chance. So I guess we Gotta go with that for now.
C
Maybe she just wants to like, do a big announcement and they just gotta, you know, caught up to her on that, but who knows?
B
Well, also like, maybe she wants to do it on her own terms. Yeah.
D
And get outed.
B
Not get outed.
C
So maybe she was just checking the boxes and making sure she was in the portal and, you know, getting everything situated.
B
But maybe she just wants to keep her options open.
E
Maybe she just wants to get drug tested.
B
Yeah, maybe.
E
Maybe not come back.
D
Yeah, she'd be the first person ever.
Maddie, do you want to explain the.
What the testing, like what the ITA said all these players are in this pool and then her name was like in the pool. And they said they had paperwork of it, but people were kind of confused on what the whole thing that was posted basically is.
B
Well, I think it's. I think it has. I think you have to be in the testing pool for six months before you can re enter tournaments if you've signed your paperwork to officially retire. So when you officially retire, you're removed from the testing pool and it's like done deal. They don't knock on your door at 5am anymore. But I think if you want to come back or even have the option of coming back, I think you have to re register six months in advance and be in the pool where they could randomly test you, the whole thing, do all of your whereabouts and all that so that then you have the option to even play. Because I believe I want to say it was Andy Roddick, like years ago. He was going to play doubles with Marty Fish when Marty was coming back from a break. And they couldn't do it because Andy didn't re enter the testing pool. Or if he did, he like didn't do it early enough. So I'm a little shaky on all of the exact rules, but I know you have to be in the testing pool for months ahead before you can reenter tournaments.
D
Yeah. And then there is such thing as like officially retiring, which it seems like is what she. Some people like just don't play and some people actually officially retire. So it seems like that's what she did. And that's why when they posted this whole list of players which I think probably had all of our names on it, it was like all the Americans that are registered for drug testing, which you have to be if you're a current player, so. Interesting.
C
Well, it seems like I kind of feel bad for all these tournaments that are doing like the flowers and the cakes and like, oh, they're not retiring.
B
Like, what are we doing? There's so many people coming back.
E
I mean, the flowers and the cakes isn't really that expensive, but obviously.
B
But it's just the.
Well, I guess. Speaking of cake, we had our own, like, I guess we'll call it Pie Gate on the podcast. And one of us is going to out themselves officially. If you didn't listen to our last episode as the person who eats the apple pie with cheese on it.
E
Yeah.
B
And it's not speak now or forever hold your peace.
D
It's me, Jesse. I eat cheese on my apple pie. I've always done it as a kid. My grandparents are Canadian, and they told me it's a Canadian thing, so I always. That's how we. That's how we ate it. It's. Yeah. It's insane. I also. So someone on our team for this podcast didn't believe me, so she actually tried it last night and she's like.
B
How do you heat it up?
C
Yeah.
D
Video evidence. She's like, well, how do I heat it up? And I was like, I don't know. Just microwave it. And then people also thought that was alarming. And I'm like, well, I don't know. That's what I did at my grandma's house. You put a piece of cheese. Cheese on it, throw it in the microwave, and then you eat it.
E
But it's not just. It's not just cheese. It's cheddar cheese.
C
It's like the slice.
D
Yeah.
C
Like Kraft cheese.
D
No, it's not Kraft.
E
It's not craft.
D
Not the Kraft Singles. It tends to look like that.
E
That's from. That's from Google.
B
The problem is, is that once it's melted on top of your apple pie, it looks like a Kraft Single.
D
It looks like Kraft Singles. Yeah. That was kind of weird, but no, it's actually really tasty. But I understand if people think it's diabolical, which is mostly everybody is diabolical.
B
Also, Jenny got the most votes for who people thought would eat that.
E
Yeah. And I wonder why you said it yourself.
D
Yeah.
E
Because it's weird.
C
But then we thought about it and we were like, well, no, it's just. Just you're very particular.
D
So Jenny would never. You would never eat that.
E
Yeah. Like.
A
Yeah.
E
Like, this group would be like, no chance Jenny would eat that.
D
Yeah.
E
Right.
D
Yeah. Yeah.
B
Yep.
D
Never chance.
E
Like, no chance.
C
Yeah.
D
It was all me.
E
Multiple people asked me like, are you the one? And I was like, no, not me. Not me. It's Jess.
B
But other than. Other than cheesy. Apple pie. Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving?
E
Yeah.
D
Yeah, everyone had a great. Yeah, it was great. I had a good Thanksgiving.
E
Yeah, it was great.
D
Shout out. My sister got engaged the day before Thanksgiving, so she's very excited about that.
E
Kelly. Hey, Kelly. Shout out to.
B
I was dying that dez, like, outed it. And then today, her story where all of her pictures.
I didn't even think of that. I was like, oh, my God.
C
Well, she put it so in the photo. We were at the savers game and she's like. And I was like, well, I'm gonna post this.
B
Okay.
D
So she kept doing it. Every picture I have of her is like, for the entire week. And I'm like, well, I can't. Like, we can't edit this out. So you're just. You're getting hard. Launch with the engagement.
B
Yeah.
C
So you're welcome.
E
Clock it.
C
I had a good Thanksgiving. I actually went home to the desert for a few days before heading to Buffalo. But it was nice to see my family and friends that I grew up with, childhood friends and just kind of just hanging out and. Yeah, no, it was really fun, Jenny.
E
Yeah, it was just me and my mom. It was nice. We just had a small little gathering.
B
Of the two of us.
D
How was her stuffing?
E
It was good. It was good. Yeah, it's good. It's always good. So. But we just did. We just did chicken and we kept calling it turkey. The whole time we were like, oh, gotta check on the turkey. Like, oh, is the turkey done? Ooh, that turkey is so good. Like, the whole time we kept saying turkey, and then we were like, oh, I mean, chicken. Like, because it's Thanksgiving and you're used to eating turkey and we just, like, did a chicken instead. So. But yeah.
D
Maddie, how was.
E
You were in Pittsburgh after a long.
D
Week with the in laws.
E
Good.
B
Hung out with the in laws. We actually had a very good turkey, which I know sometimes people. Yes, like an actual, real turkey, not a chicken. I know some people complain that they don't actually like turkey, but it was delicious. Ate far too much, ate lots of desserts. And now we're, you know, back on court trying to burn off all the extra cows.
E
Join the club.
D
Yeah. Seriously. Oh, my gosh. Well, speaking of the holidays, there was a little, I don't know, viral moment over the past week of Aaron Andrews, the sideline reporter that kind of got a lot of heat from. For talking about the sacrifices that she has made because of her job.
It was on, I think, her own podcast. Is that right? Or On, I guess on someone's podcast.
C
It was on her.
D
It was on hers, right? Yeah. And she was just answering a question, and it kind of went viral because people thought she was complaining. But if you watch the. The whole thing, you can definitely tell she's just answering a question.
E
So.
D
Yeah, it was interesting. So what? I mean, we all obviously have made a lot of sacrifices for tennis, and obviously we're super grateful to be able to play our sport and travel and all this stuff, but it is a lot. Especially when you have either a job or a career or you play a sport where, like, holidays don't really exist. But anyway, she said you have to love what you do to work in sports because it requires missing out on. Quote out or Sorry. Quote out on a lot of holidays and other events, like weddings, obviously. We know, birthdays. We were talking about how I never went to prom, homecoming, all this type of stuff. So what do you guys think about, I don't know, some of the sacrifices you've had to make or maybe some stuff that you wish you didn't?
E
Well, I'm happy I was playing tennis, so I didn't have to go to promote. But.
D
I kind of want to see Jenny's prom take, though.
B
Oh. With her corsage and that would have been so good.
D
Oh, God, that would have been amazing.
E
No, that stresses me out just thinking about it. I was crashing out before the Buffalo gala.
I'm sorry. Crashing out hard.
B
Yeah.
E
I mean, I've missed a lot. I mean, you miss a lot of things. I mean, I've missed a lot of weddings. Just like being at tournaments, being, you know, thousands of miles away. Like, you're in Italy and someone's getting married in California. It's like. Like, don't think I'll be able to make that one. Like, for the weekend, we'll be able to go and then come back. But, yeah, it's. It's. It's hard, but I think it's a part of what we do. I mean.
C
Yeah.
D
Yeah. I think this is something you have to know. Right. Like, you have to know kind of what you're getting yourself into, and then I think it's okay. But when you're talking about. Yeah, for 15 years, you've missed Thanksgiving. Like, that's tough. Like, you know, or Christmas or as your friends get older and they get married and they have kids and there's holidays and all this stuff, it definitely gets rough.
E
Yeah.
C
I think, like, even in the juniors, for me, I can see for myself. But we traveled for every Thanksgiving, like, you were gone. Even for Christmas, we're doing, like, caravanning for winter Nationals, and, you know, you're not home to do that. And it's just. It's really hard, you know, to do that. But I feel like you have to make those sacrifices. And like, you guys have said about weddings, and you sometimes lose friends in that situation, and, you know, you hope that they understand, but it's really. It's hard. You do want to be at those events, and it's such a big event, and. But, yeah, you. I think, like, she said, like, you love what you do, and. But it comes with the territory.
B
Yeah. I've basically given my friends. I'm like, look, I'm very happy for you. You're getting married. It's amazing. If you would like me at your wedding, here are the six dates that, like, I can make work. So I'm really sorry that you're scheduling your wedding around my day, my life, but it's kind of just, like, the reality of my life right now. So. I actually have really wonderful friends that are super understanding. A lot of them also work in sports, though, which I think helps a lot. So they. They get it. But when I was first dating, it was an nightmare. It was literally like, I'm just not gonna date anyone because they would. They couldn't understand.
D
Yeah.
B
Or I'd be like, oh, like, we can go out tonight. But then I'm actually gonna be gone for eight weeks, so I'll see you when I get back.
D
It's so weird. I feel like some people literally just, like, have. No, they don't, like, get it because they're not in that world. So it's so tough. I mean, my sister, who I just said got engaged, is like, okay. I. She was looking at these wedding venues, and. And she. Well, she was looking at wedding venues before she got engaged, but that's a different story. Sorry, Kelly. That story is not going to make any sense unless I say that. And she was like, she knows that. Like, if I'm going to be there, it can't be during the U.S. open. It can't be during Wimbledon. Like, it has to be in a reasonable range. And I always have, like, a hard time with that. I remember when I first started playing on tour because I felt so bad, and I felt bad that my friends would ask me for, like, major things and, like, schedule it around me because they wanted me to be there, like, some of my really close friends. And I always feel terrible because I'm like, you're planning your Schedule around me, but they know that's. That's how it is. Yeah.
C
But, yeah, like, I lost, which is sad, but I lost a really. Like, she was my best friend in college and very close family friend, and we lost our relationship because she had a wedding.
Around the French Open. It was my first French Open, first slam situation, and she was like, I want to try and plan this around you, but I didn't know at the time that I was going to make French Open. So I was, like, on the cusp. But she had moved her date to, like, I think, June 1st, and that's, like, in the middle of French Open. And I think that's when we played Jesse. And I was like, I really. Like, I can't make it. Like, I. Like, I felt so guilty because I was a bridesmaid. We were so close, and I just was, like, crying over it because I didn't know what to do. Like, I didn't. In that. In the moment, I just didn't know what to do. Like, do you lose your friendship? Like, you hope that they understand? And. I mean, she played tennis as well. Like, it was hard. You would hope that she would understand, but we lost our friendship in that, and it was really sad. And it. You know, you have to. You have to make sacrifices, and it's like, imagine if I didn't play French Open, what would have happened? Like, we made third round. That makes. That's money, that's points, and you have to make those sacrifices, and you just hope that if someone is that close to you, that they would understand. So it is tough, but, yeah, you do. I mean, it's hard.
D
Yeah, definitely.
C
Are there any, like, hard, like, any holidays that were the hardest for you guys to miss? Like, growing up, like, Christmas or Christmas?
D
For me, yeah. Like, big Christmas. People missing Christmas was, like, an absolute. Like, it was horrible for me when I was younger, but I usually tried to make that one work.
E
Yeah.
C
Like, even now, it's nice. We can leave. What? Sometimes we can leave a day after Christmas. Like, this year, you can leave a day or two after Christmas. Other years, it's hard. You either leave Christmas Day or Christmas Eve to get ready for that first event in Australia.
E
So.
C
So it is hard.
D
Yeah. I think two years ago for United cup, when Coco went to play. Or was it last year?
E
Yeah.
D
I remember Taylor was like, you didn't. Like, you're not playing. Like, he, like, texted me, and I was like, dude, I'd have to leave before Christmas. I'm sorry, but I'm not spending Christmas with you.
In Australia, Like, I just, like, couldn't get my head around it because I was like, no, like, absolutely not. Like, in the year before, I pushed it and went late and that's when I played. Remember how, like, sick I was? I was so not used to the. I was so not prepared. And we played in Perth and it was so hot. I was like, never again. And then next year was, like, even earlier because I think we got the early date. And I was like, they're literally like teams, like, together in Australia. Like, I was like, I'm not doing that. I'm sorry.
E
Yeah, they were like, having.
B
Celebrating.
C
Like, it's like when we did New Year's Eve or. And we just celebrated, you know, on the balcony fireworks, like, get another match the next day. And we're like, yeah, okay, let's go at 9pm.
E
Yeah.
B
The amount of times I've been, like, on a plane either, like, the day before Christmas, on Christmas, like, you're by yourself, or I'm, like, looking out the window and it's, like, so depressing. And I'm, like, fighting back tears because I'm like, another one.
C
It's lonely too, though. Yeah.
D
I think one year I missed Christmas. I flew over it. And so you lose a day that's going to Australia.
B
The worst to me, I feel like I'd rather be on the ground somewhere, like, by myself, but have the day.
D
And I thought that the plane would, like, do a celebrate. You know, sometimes the flight attendants, like, they'll get into a holiday or try to, like, be nice. There was nothing. And I was like, no. Wow, this is, like, really sad. Like, I just. I totally miss Christmas. Just flew right over it.
E
One year in Brisbane, I went to Lizette Cabrera's house and it was, like, the best. It was so fun. And it was like her whole family was there. And, like, because after moving to Florida, like, when we were young, like, it was just like, me, my sister, mom and dad. So it's always so much more fun, like, around the holidays, like, Thanksgiving and Christmas, like, with, like, giant family, like, the whole family, you know, it can be, like, kind of hectic, but at the same time, it's so much more fun. So I was like, oh, this was, like, awesome. Like, I want to come back next year. Like, you know, I was like, this was so good. Like, the food was so good. Like, they had games, different vibes. Yeah, it was just really fun. Like, whereas, like, our Christmas, like, it's like, okay, like, open up your presents for, like, five, 10 minutes. And then it's like, all right, now what?
C
Yeah, that's like, me. I mean, I was the only child growing up. It's just like, presents. Let's have dinner. Okay.
E
Yeah.
C
Happy. Merry Christmas.
E
Like, I see that Christmas tree behind you, Des.
C
There it is. Ready?
B
I feel like, because we're gone before or on Christmas, I'm, like, the earliest decorator where it's literally like, Halloween is over. And I'm like, christmas, it's time.
Yeah.
D
You made a good effort, though. Last year. You took down all your decorations before you flew out. And I was like, no chance I'm doing that.
B
I always take my decorations down before I go to Australia because it's, like, my worst nightmare to get home. And it's like, the end of January and everything is still up. Although I will say I'm pretty sure my mom left her Christmas tree up all year long because she likes to leave it decorated and in one piece. And she just. Her and my sister, like, carry it down the stairs and put it in their storage closet.
D
That's actually amazing.
B
And she couldn't. She couldn't do it by herself. And my sister's been really busy, and so she hasn't been able to help. So it was, like, September, and it was still up. And my mom was like, whatever, we're just gonna leave it up. So she's had it up for. It'll be a full, like, 365 days.
D
That's amazing.
E
Oh, my gosh. That's so good.
D
Incredible.
C
I remember when. When I never. Because I go to Australia early, and I get there December 1st, and I'm just like, okay, let's go by the tree. I'm putting it up. And Andrew's parents are like, oh, my God, you're putting it up already. Like, December 1st. And I was like, yeah, like, they didn't put a tree up before. Like, before we started dating. I was like, this is so depressing. You guys are like the Grinch. So I got bought a tree, and I just. They had, like, a tiny, like, puny tree, but, like, just put tinsel around, and that was it. And I was like, this is so sad. So I went, bought a tree, got my. Brought my ornaments from la, which is extra, but whatever, and decorated the whole room, and they're like, wow, we celebrate Christmas, like, so much more now. And I was like, oh, my gosh.
D
That'S actually kind of cute. Yeah, you're spreading your Christmas Christmas cheer.
E
Cheer. Then you're going to go do Christmas carols.
B
Yeah. So.
C
But, yeah, but going back to that, I feel like even, like, missing these events and holidays, weddings, friends, you know, I don't know, birthday parties, whatever. But I feel like you do get desensitized to it because this is your job. And what do you. It's like, you can't miss it.
D
Yeah.
C
You can't miss a tournament, but, yeah, it is what it is. Comes with the territory, like we said.
D
Yeah.
B
I feel like it's almost. You're more surprised when you actually can make something work and you're like, I can go. Yeah, that's amazing. Like, oh, I shouldn't be there.
D
Yeah, it is. It's, like, crazy.
B
Yeah.
C
And you're. Yeah, it makes. It makes a difference. There's only two times where you can go after Wimbledon or end of November or mid November, everybody.
D
That's why if everyone wants to know why every player gets married or whatever on, like, two times of the year, it's because of this reason.
C
And sometimes you might. Sometimes you have two people that have the same wedding on the same day. Like, you're gonna have to pick and choose, so that'll also be tough.
E
Oh, yeah.
B
Yeah.
E
True that. True that. Well, speaking of Christmas in winter wonderland, we were just in Buffalo. In Buffalo. And it was full on blizzard, actually. Also, Desiree, I am very proud of you for driving in the snow, because you come from the desert of.
Palm Desert.
C
But.
E
Yeah. So who wants to. Well, all of us went. Maddie, unfortunately, couldn't make it. But did anybody have a favorite part or.
Want to talk about their wing experience? I mean, I guess all of you were giving me crap for how I eat my wings, but I wouldn't say.
C
We were giving you crap. I think it was just. We were. For me, I was very impressed. Like, Jenny was really cleaning these wings off. Like, we went to a couple wing spots. We went to Eddie Brady's. Is that what it's called? We. Eddie Brady's takeout from Duffs.
D
Yeah.
C
And they were great. Very, very good. But, like, there was a table Jenny was sitting at.
B
There was.
C
We were at a big table, a bunch of us. And then Jenny's at a tiny, like, table. Kids table. And you don't hear her talking, so you're like, for sure she's eating wings. And she is just cleaning this bone, gnawing it. Like, just like. Like, not even talking, but she is gnawing on this wing and cleaning it. And I'm just like. I don't know how she does it. Like, I was just very impressed with your wing eating skills.
E
You just.
D
I think everybody was.
E
Yeah, I know at one point I literally looked over and was, like, eating my wing. And everyone's like, how are you doing that? And I'm like. And they're like, oh, my God. It was like, they've, like, seen a robot or.
B
I don't know.
C
Buffalo was so fun. I never been. I didn't know what to expect. I think, obviously, the people and the event itself was just so much fun. That was what made it really special. We went to a Savers game. They didn't win or score, sadly, but.
B
We saw a fight.
D
Yeah. Yeah, we saw a really good fight.
E
Like, the first five minutes, it was so good. Yeah.
B
Like, let's go.
D
And then we lost five. Oh. I was like, okay. Sorry, guys. Didn't. We didn't quite show up today, but it was fun. Thank you guys for coming. It was. It was wild. You guys got to see literally, like, two snowstorm. Like, two really snowy days, which was really cool. Cool.
I'm trying to think what. Yeah, we. We went and we ate wings. We got. We played tennis.
E
Yeah, we. Saturday. That was so fun. We went to the gym. We went to John's Gym.
D
Squeeze.
E
We went to Squeeze Shout out to.
D
Squeeze Juicery in Williamsville, New York. They and everybody else are obsessed.
E
Best smoothie I've ever had.
B
I also got a picture Jenny sitting at a table by herself eating dinner. Second dinner. And DEZ was, like, pulling cake out of the fridge. And there was, like, five cakes on the kitchen island.
D
I had all of these cakes from my friends giving on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. And. Because, you know, like, when everyone gets lazy, it doesn't. There's really one guy that was making all the food. So everyone's like, whatever, I'll just bring a cake. I'll bring a cheesecake. I'll bring whatever. And so they're all like, why do you have so many desserts in your fridge? I literally have, like, four. Two cakes and two cheesecakes. Cupcakes. Yeah. It was wild. So.
C
But yeah, Jess. Jess was leaving for the airport, and we had a later flight, and we were like, oh, we're not gonna get out of here. Because it was com. It was snowing. Like, yeah, it was snowing, and I was.
D
It was ugly out that day.
B
Yeah.
E
And that was stressed. Des was stressed when she was.
D
Andrew was stressed because he was like, I don't want to fly out in this.
B
We're like, it's okay. The turbulence is so bad.
C
But anyways, yeah, we. I don't know. Jenny Was eating something, and I was.
B
Like, I'm just going to try all.
C
The cakes in here. We don't want to go to waste. So I just had, you know, a little cake sampler for myself. And then we threw it out. But that was the picture Matt got of us.
D
So did you guys. Did you guys like the wings? Did you feel like they were better than other places? You also had the blue cheese.
E
I only had the first time I.
C
Yeah, I had blue cheese for the first time.
Honestly, I. I thought it was good. I could have done without the blue cheese because some of the wings were very saucy. So I was like, oh. But then there were wings where, like, if you just, like, inhale, like, you're coughing because it's just so strong of, like, the medium or hot flavor.
B
But, Jenny, I'm very good.
E
Well, I only had the wings from Eddie Brady's. I didn't try the ones from duffs, But.
I gave them, what, seven, nine. I thought about it, and I think I would give them an 8.1 now.
C
Wow.
D
Yeah.
E
Yeah, I know. I actually really, really like them. Like, the more I thought about it over the last few days, I was like, those wings were really good. And my favorite was the medium. And I am a blue cheese girl. Like, ranch is disgusting and hot tapes. Sorry. Come at me in the. In the comments.
Yeah, I don't like ranch.
B
I love.
C
I love ranch.
D
I feel like the wings in Buffalo are really good, but you don't realize it until, like, because I don't go back like, that often. And then, like, you have other wings, other places. And then I go back to Buffalo and I eat them, and I'm like, wow, these are so much better than anywhere. It's like, you just don't think about it. And then you're like, huh, wow.
E
My favorite's medium. Medium is my favorite.
D
I thought you liked the mild and you dipped it in the medium sauce. Yeah, but that's what Aaron was doing. That's what. Good move, though.
E
Yes, that's what. That's what we ended up doing because we ate all the mediums and then there were only milds left, and we just asked for a side of medium sauce and then put it on the plate. And then we just, like, dip it in the plate. And then.
D
Did you try the beef on weck?
E
Yeah.
D
It's not my thing, to be honest.
E
Wasn't it?
C
Do you like wings?
B
I mean, I like wings. I don't think I've ever sat here and discussed and dissected types of wings.
E
Me and Jess are, like, getting really serious over here.
B
I've, like, just been like, yeah, it was good. I've never gotten to the nitty gritty of wings.
C
Well, Jenny was wanting to do a whole wing tour and she's like, we're gonna go here, we're gonna go here. And I was like, whoa. Like, I wish we went to Barbie at night.
E
Yeah, Eddie Birdies was good, though. Duff's, Brady's.
C
And then she was like, she was like, we're gonna go to another wing spot, right? And then after she was eating, she's like, no, we're not going to another wing spot.
D
Because she's like, I'm going to bed.
E
I was like, I'm going to bed. Yeah, it was like 9 o' clock and I was eating, shoveling, like fried wings in my mouth. Like, it was like.
C
But all talk overall was really.
E
Was really bark.
C
No bites.
D
Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
C
No, it was great. Experienced all of it. Puppies, wings, snow.
E
Yeah, it was so fun.
C
Yeah, it was a good time.

It's our group chat out of context and we have to guess who said it.
First one. We told Maddie we had it taken care of. We do not.
E
I'm gonna guess Jess.
B
I think that was Jess.
D
I was gonna say Jenny does.
E
Oh, Maddie, who do you say.
B
It was? I. I think it was Jess. Yeah, it was, in fact, Jess.
E
Yeah.
B
First ever attempt at scheduling a recording. Oh. When Jess and Jenny were trying to decide the time, we were all in different time zones. And Jess messed up. Like, she was, like, 11:00am Eastern, like, 5:00am Pacific. And I was like, I don't think that's the math. Okay.
D
I was also, to be fair, I think that was when I was in China.
B
That was when you were in China.
D
And then, like, Des at one point was in Japan, so I was. She was like, in Japan. I was in China.
E
Four different time zones.
D
Yeah. And the people we work with are west coast. And then you guys were east coast. And I just. And I thought I had it botched it completely because.
E
Sorry, go ahead.
D
No, I think you and I were the only ones like.
E
Like.
D
Oh. Like, on the chat at the time. So we were, like, going back and forth, and we were just getting it wrong. Right.
E
No, it was. Maddie would be the one who would say, okay, I was in charge of doing all of the time zone, 2pm Pacific. And then me and you, I think, were like, oh, yeah, we could do the time or whatever.
B
Yeah, you and Jenny. Jess and Jenny were like, yeah, we got this. It's this time. This time at this time, and we're good. Whatever. And I was hitting, and I came off the court and just did some wild math. I was like, that's not right.
Let's rewind, everyone. We should schedule this again. So. Yes.
D
Okay.
B
Okay. The next one is I want to see my hamster spin.
Jenny statement.
D
It has to be Jenny. And I have no idea what the context is.
B
Jenny, Pretty.
E
I think it was when I don't even remember that it was something that I was thinking about, like. And I was like, yeah, I want to see, like, my little hamster spin. Like, like, your head? Yeah, like my brain is a hamster's running.
B
And it's like, you were, like, trying to. You were trying to, like, remember something.
D
Did someone send, like, a picture maybe? Like, were you making a face? And it looked like you were like, oh, no, wait.
B
No, no, you. Okay. You were asking Mark, who does all of our editing, to clip. To make a clip of all the times that you, like, freeze and you try to think about things.
You said, I want to see my hamster spin.
D
Yeah.
C
Yep.
B
Okay.
That was a good one. Oh, in her defense, she chugged her cortado in two sips. I said that.
E
That was Maddie.
D
Yes, you said that about Jenny talking.
B
About me the whole. The Whole Foods snack where she left the bathroom.
E
Yeah.
D
Yeah. Remember that?
B
Yes.
E
When I had to use the restroom at Whole Foods because I chugged my cortado in two seconds.
D
Yeah.
B
It's not great for Whole Foods. Okay, You Googling it doesn't make it better. Also, what I said when. Justin. You Googling it doesn't make it better. Yesterday, when you were trying to defend your cheese on pie, I was starting to question myself.
D
I was like, okay, I need to Google this to see if other people do this.
B
But, yeah, you sent, like, a screenshot of, like, the Google AI where it was like, yes, people do do this.
D
It started in the seventh. It was like the 1700s in England at originated. And I was like, oh, my God. I was like, whoops, this isn't helping.
B
Okay, the next one. I love how Jenny's stories are never exaggerated. They sound like they would be, but it's literally exactly how it happens.
D
I feel like I said that.
E
Jesse.
B
Jess said that. Jess definitely said that.
D
The context is a story.
E
It's literally Jenny texting everything Jenny says, everything I say. I'm never sugarcoating anything.
B
That was specifically when you were describing your absolute crash out on the court. And then you sent us the video because we thought you were exaggerating.
E
Yeah, everyone thought I was exaggerating about my crash out on court when I was like, spot on. No.
And then I felt folded over the net.
D
He's so dramatic.
B
Okay, controversial take. I don't like Reese's. That was me.
E
Wow. Yeah.
B
I think they're overrated.
C
That was quick.
E
It's Reese's.
B
Reese's. Oh, sorry, Reese's.
E
Reese's.
C
Not Reese's.
B
Reese's.
C
We kept saying Reese's.
E
Yeah, and crap for that.
D
Yeah.
E
Someone corrected me, and my cousin yelled at me.
Because I'm from Pennsylvania and they're from Hershey, Pennsylvania.
B
She was offended.
Okay, are we sticking with the meth?
E
Jesse.
B
Jesse. What? No, I said.
D
I know someone else said it, but I. Obviously, this whole story was mine.
B
Yes.
D
Whatever.
B
Yeah.
D
I don't. How do we explain this?
E
I think I can explain this. I think I can do this.
D
It's controversial. Go.
E
Yeah. So there was a headline that some kid got banned for doping from methyl methamphetamines. Methamphetamine. And we were talking about it, and we were maybe gonna Talk about it on the pod. But then we realized that.
It'S not the meth. That.
Some of us were.
B
Jess and Jenny heard methamphetamines and were like. And we thought meth.
D
And I'm just like, no, no, the pr. Okay, wait. The chat. Our producer said, I think it was for meth. And so I didn't even. I mean, obviously, it was probably methamphetamines. It was probably, like, something that was in something, but I was like, meth? I was like, how does that even happen? This guy's, like, doing meth. And it became this whole thing. We edited it out because we were like, are we actually somebody over this? That's where this whole.
B
No, I was like, you're gonna get sued because you're going around saying this, dude.
E
Yeah.
D
I was like, I don't know. Breaking Bad meth. Like, that's just where my brain went. Straight to Jesse Pinkman and. Yeah, but who said it?
E
You.
B
You said it.
D
No, but I said that specifically.
E
Are we sticking with.
D
No.
E
Are we sticking with the method? As in, are we sticking with the meth story? And we did. We stuck with it. We filmed it, and then we edited it.
B
And then I said, someone's gonna sue you because he wasn't on meth.
D
And then now here we are talking about it again.
B
It's all full circle, full circle. Love it. Okay. With a. With a snap. As. Now I'm tongue tied because I'm laughing.
With the snap of his finger.
Does Desiree.
D
Des, I thought you were gonna keep going. And I was like, does.
C
I was like, wait, is this.
E
As soon as you said snap, I was like, des, when did I say this? With a snap.
B
Of his Harry Potter.
D
Harry Potter reference.
C
Yeah, but when did I say. No, but when did I say it? What was the contest?
B
Thanks. You were talk. We were talking about Jenny being dobby.
She's a free elf.
C
With the snap of his finger.
Now I remember.
B
There you go.
C
It's turning the hamster.
E
The hamster's spinning. I see the hamster.
B
I have the opposite of a poker face. Pretty sure.
E
Madison.
D
Yes, Maddie.
E
Yeah. Like, it just fits. Every time we film.
D
Anytime Jenny talks.
B
Oh. Oh.
No. It's worse is I get pictures from press, and someone will ask me a question that either don't, like, don't understand, whatever. And someone will take a picture, and. And it's literally as someone's asking me a question. I'm like. And it's like, everywhere. And I'm like, great. I'm so glad My face is everywhere, looking so confused.
D
You're like that the couples with the videos when you gotta fix your face and they like, fix their face.
B
Yes. Or it's like. Cause I think I actually captioned it in Australia this year. Cause it was big where it was like, we listen and we don't judge. And I said, we listen and we don't judge. And then I posted a picture of my face and I said, yeah, my face doesn't listen to me.
But I'm glad. She seems like a nice lady. Lmfao.
D
Me.
C
You say LMFAO a lot.
E
I'm me. I say lmfao.
D
I feel like me and Jenny are the only ones that say it.
E
She seems like a nice lady.
B
I think it's me.
C
I feel like it's Jess.
B
Yeah.
E
I feel like, oh, you have to turn away.
B
This is so funny. I'm sweating, I'm laughing.
It was Jess after sending 87 texts about why she's not a Taylor Swift fan.
It was your final. Your final text after.
Book why you're not a fan. Yeah. Was this in our big chat?
E
Yes, yes.
B
It was so funny. Oh, my God.
D
I was like ranting on like usual.
B
I just ended it with.
D
But she seems like a nice.
C
And Jace and I were like, oh.
E
My God, we love her.
B
Okay, I think we should just let Jenny yell next. Like she does when she's listening to the radio.
E
Des.
B
I think I said. I think I said that. I think we were talking about.
Trying to move on. We all podcast segments. I was like, we should just let Jenny, once she gets overstimulated, just be like, next. Yeah, Jenny.
C
Because for those of you haven't known Jenny or didn't listen to our other podcast, Jenny cannot listen to a full song. So she will just click, click, click.
D
I feel like we all thought we said that because we all have experienced that with Jenny. So we're all like, oh, we've said that before.
C
And then she's clicking next, next, next.
E
Guys, it's the 10 second roll. If you don't like the song within the first 10 seconds, you won't like the song. Yeah.
C
But even when you do like the song Espresso, you would still. You still don't want to listen to the whole song.
B
That's because she's played it 437 times in the last day and a half.
E
Yeah. And I don't want to listen to it ever again.
B
Okay. The next one is. It's a guideline. Jennifer.
E
Desiree.
D
The. Jennifer gave it Away.
E
Yeah, sounds like something. And I know exactly what it's referring to. I know.
I know. It's the chat. It's the chat in the podcast. And whenever the producer says, okay, we're at 37 minutes. Maybe move on to the next topic. I'm like, okay, let's move on. And Des is like, no, we're not moving.
C
We're still in the middle of what we're talking about. And Jenny's just like, oh, my God, we must.
E
We need to move on. We need to move on. And Des yelled at me, saying, it's just a guideline.
Jennifer.
B
Oh.
The next one getting roasted out here. Pretty sure Jess said that.
D
What was that about?
B
I don't remember why she was getting roasted. But you were getting roasted.
D
Yeah. Oh, no, this could be a lot of things.
B
Oh, actually, I was wrong.
E
It was. Was it us for talking over Jess when she was lagging?
B
No. Which.
D
Oh, that was a good one.
B
We have gotten roasted about that. But it was DEZ because we ganged up on her because she said wood was her favorite dealers. Oh, my God.
C
It was a nice lady, though.
Thanks, guys. Getting roasted out here.
E
Just go listen to Taylor Swift.
B
Okay. She looked like one of those faces that is blurred out because she didn't sign the release form.
C
What?
E
Wait, what?
B
I have no idea Who. Which one of us said that she.
E
Looks like one of those faces?
C
Jenny would say that.
D
Maddie.
B
Jenny talking about Jess lagging.
E
Oh, my God. That's actually so funny.
D
That's what I looked like.
E
Yeah, you look like one of the faces that were blurred out perfectly because you didn't sign the release form.
B
Okay, I was going to continue, but I thought I'd lose you after 33 seconds.
D
Maddie, wait.
B
Feels like something I would say, but I don't remember saying that.
It was Jenny sending a 33 second voice note, just laughing.
D
Oh.
We love it, Jenny.
C
I feel like that's happened a couple times.
D
Yeah. I wonder what it was from.
E
Oh.
C
Okay.
B
Our last one.
D
Who?
E
Yeah, it was.
B
I literally thought you were trying to type out Ostapenko.
D
Oh, I. I said. I said that. Right, because someone said.
B
You said that someone was trying to say something in Japan.
Oh, it was.
D
It was Mark. He was trying to say, try this fish. And it was like an. It looked like. I thought he typoed. Oh. Like he was trying to say, oh, penko. Into the typo.
B
Opa kop. Oh, my God.
D
Yeah. Opa kopaka. He kept telling dad to try this fish. And we're all like, what? And he's like, you got to try. It's the best fish ever. And he sent this picture. And I'm like, I. Initially I thought it. Yeah.
E
Oh, God.
B
And then the image just went crazy. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Okay, well, that. That concludes our out of context in the group chat.
D
I'm not sure if anybody is even gonna comprehend us.
B
They're gonna be like, oh, giggling. Just giggling.
D
Yeah.
B
No, the rant about why you're not a Taylor Swift fan, then you end with it. She seems like a really nice lady.
E
Lmfao.
B
Like.
E
I'm gonna start.
B
I'm gonna start doing that. Anytime I'm, like, ranting about someone, I'm gonna be like, she seems like a nice lady, though.
D
Yeah.
C
It softens the blow a little bit. Okay, well, Jess and Maddie, you guys are doing a few exhibitions. I feel like, Jess, you're doing a couple more exhibitions in the next couple weeks, but can you guys tell the fans and us where you guys are going? Maddie, let's start with you.
B
I am playing an exo in Charlotte in a couple of days, and I'm really excited. I'm playing Venus, and the boys are playing after us, Taylor Fritz and Francis Tiafo. So it'll be a fun time hanging out with everyone. I am doing just the one exhibition this year. Kind of being a homebody, very excited, Just gonna train away. And Jess is picking up the slack, playing all the other ones, like, every day.
C
Renovations.
D
I thought I was gonna be doing the same thing, and then someone pulled out of the exhibition. So I'm playing two now back to back with Amanda and A. Samova. We're playing both back to back nights, the seventh and the eighth. So the seventh, we play at the Prudential center in New Jersey, and then we play at the Marlins Field in Miami the next day.
C
That's cool.
D
So it's gonna be in the actual field. In the field, which is kind of why I said yes, because I was like, wait, that actually sounds kind of cool. And I'm interested to see that. So I was actually gonna try and only play Miami because I could be home. And they were like, we want someone that does both. And so I was like, sure. Like, didn't really take much to convince me. So I was like, I guess, whatever. And then I'm doing two kind of local exhibitions. One is somewhere that I'm a member at, and the other is a place that I like to play golf at. So I have to make sure I, you know, give back to the club. I swear, half these exhibitions I do are literally so, like, Taylor can play golf there. So it's kind of like a. Like, it's like I'm doing it for him. It's like a Christmas present.
C
How does that work in a way? Like, you. Do you guys reach out to the organizers or is it kind of just like, hey, like, we need you.
B
Like, would you be available?
C
Because obviously it's your off season and like, finding, you know, exhibitions. Like, is that. Is it on your resistor. It's like your agents.
D
Agents? I would say yeah. Except for the two local ones. I know the, like the. The head of the tennis. And so they usually just text me because I know them really well and I practice at both the clubs, like, all the time when I'm here in Boca. So they usually just reach out to me and are like, hey, do you think you'd be available this time of year? But other than that, like, the big ones, I mean, I would say it's always. Usually through my agent.
C
Yeah. And like, I feel. I feel like watching exos, you're kind of like, oh, they're trying. Like, are you guys trying to make it close? Because sometimes you're like, oh, it's seven, six, six, seven, like, or goes to a three set. Like, is it. Do you feel like you need to, like, play full out? Or it's just kind of like a hit and giggle.
B
Like, I played Jenny in an exo one time and it was literally like my fourth day playing and she had been training and she was going full and I was like, jennifer, wait, I don't. We are not playing in the finals of the US Open. Chill.
E
Where was this?
B
Naples.
E
Oh, yeah. I'm kind of all or nothing.
C
Oh, okay.
B
Yeah.
D
I feel like I usually. I try to, like, I'm not good at, like, like making it look cool. Yeah. So I try to just play full and then. But then also, like, try and not, like, not full. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, you try for like a couple games and then you try and, like, keep it close. You're not like, stressed trying, like it's real because it's not. But you kind of have to trick yourself in order to, like, make it good.
C
Like, are you like, oh, I need to. I need to at least make it a four ball rally. Oh, okay. Three ball rally this time. Like, you know, like, are you. No, people aren't thinking like that.
E
Yeah, yeah. But I feel like the fans, like, want to watch tennis, so it's like, like, I'm not Paying to go watch an exhibition. Well, anyways, but.
B
End statement, I wouldn't.
E
Anyways, but.
Like I'm not gonna go and like watch like someone hit like 50 mile an hour serves and like just like bunt the ball back. Like I want to watch actual tennis. So like, I mean, no, I definitely.
B
I'm definitely like trying, I think.
C
Yeah.
B
Like, I think it's also a good opportunity to like, if you're working on stuff in practice, to try to implement it in like a competitive match play. But like Jenny said, like, people are paying, they want to be there and like, obviously you want them to see a good product. So I absolutely go out and I'm like trying.
D
Yeah, of course.
B
It's just maybe not as. I think maybe it's just not as. It's like the level of stress obviously on there.
C
Yeah.
B
So I think it just seems a little bit more friendly because, you know, we're not trying to like kill the other person, but we're definitely still trying.
D
Yeah. And I think sometimes, I don't know, fans get kind of like, oh, like they pulled out of this tournament or whatever, but then they're. They're going to go play these exhibitions. But that's the thing. Like, we're trying, but like the stress level is way less than you playing a Grand Slam or like a big 1000 or a tournament. Just like the everyday stress. Like one, you're not there every day for two weeks. You're like. There's not all this chaos going on. It's just you show up and you play the match and you entertain and you have fun and you know, go and play. But there's. It's definitely not as stressful as.
C
Yeah.
D
An actual tournament.
E
It's more intimate.
C
Like. Yeah, like you said, less stress and.
D
There'S not like points in line. Yeah, it's more fun.
C
Yeah, you'd hope it's fun.
D
Yeah.
E
Yeah.
C
Unless they wouldn't ask you back or. Yeah, but I think that the. Do you guys have any thoughts on the battle of the sexes match between Sabalenka and Kyrgios?
E
So what's the situation here? Like what.
What'S. I heard something that. About the court size. Well, they have the same agent.
B
They. So Sabine has a bigger court to hit into. Nick has a smaller court. I think Nick has one serve or maybe they both have one serve.
D
I don't know.
B
I don't know all the details, but there's like a lot of. There's like some stipulations. It's not just straight Up.
D
Yeah.
E
It's definitely not Smaller chord on Sablinka's side. Yeah.
B
One serve per player.
D
Best of three sets with a 10 point tiebreaker.
B
Whoa. It's best of three. Whoa.
D
That's a lot.
So two sets, one serve per player. Totally. Like, that definitely evens it out a lot more because Nick's serve is insane.
B
Yeah. But Nick also goes for first serves on a second serve in normal matches.
E
And the scoring is normal.
C
Or it could be an underhand.
E
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, that actually, I don't know, like.
D
What shape Nick is in. Like, we haven't seen him in a while. I have no idea. But I mean, he's just so talented.
C
I feel like he'd definitely be interesting.
D
Yeah.
C
I don't know what to expect.
D
If he had two serves, I think that would have been like. I mean, because I mean, guys don't break him. So, like, I. I would think the two serves is a huge advantage, but if it's one, I think maybe a little bit more even.
E
So two sets in a 10 point breaker. Yeah.
D
When are they playing it?
E
Yeah, I don't even know when they're playing it. End of December.
B
End of December, I think before they go to Australia. Hong Kong.
D
Yeah, Hong Kong.
B
Oh, is it?
D
Yeah.
B
Or is it in Macau?
D
Hong Kong. I think Macau is a separate.
B
Macau is a different one. Yeah, there's too much going on. I fully checked.
C
It'll be interesting. There's a lot of exhibitions going on, but it'll be fun to watch. Tune in to watch Jess and Maddie play their exos.
E
I don't know where you tune in. Maybe just buy a ticket.
B
Tennis Channel.
D
We know Jenny won't be buying a ticket.
E
Yep, she apparently is.
B
Tennis Channel. Thursday night. You can tune in and you can watch. Take notes and I expect, like a coaching email.
E
Oh, perfect. I will.
B
Friday morning.
E
Oh, great. Jenny's done.
B
I'm blocked.
D
Unlocked.
E
Tennis Channel. I've got it.
C
Let's go sign her up.
E
Yeah, I'll be watching.
D
Should we talk about another giveaway? I think we should ask the fans what they want.
E
Yeah, reasonably what they want. I want a million bucks. I want to win the lottery.
C
Yeah, you know, like something.
B
Should we. Should we send them Jesse's wired headphones?
C
Imagine.
Sign wired headphones.
D
Ew, so gross.
B
And an apple pie or cheese covered pie.
E
Oh, my gosh.
C
Instacart it to the house.
E
Yeah, maybe. Yeah, the fans can comment if you.
C
Guys have any ideas. Leave it in the comments. Drop a comment in the YouTube of what you want? Because, yeah, we'd love to do another giveaway around the holidays. And, yeah, hopefully you guys will enjoy it. But please, yeah, leave your addresses if you do win it.
E
Not on YouTube, though.
B
Publicly post your catch.
C
I meant for our last giveaway. They didn't even give us the information, so they missed out on that.
D
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
But, yeah, so we had our little who am I? From last week. Does. Do you want to tell everyone who your player was?
C
Yes. For everyone who guessed it was Sonny Cartel, that was my player. Congrats to you guys.
D
I saw some people got it in the comments.
E
Yeah, well done.
C
Yeah. Who. Who did get. Just. Just sent me a couple, and she's like, dang. I thought it was this person. Dang. For sure.
D
I didn't really get it.
E
I mean, for sure. I thought it was like, Jack Draper on the first try, but then I.
C
Was like, no, this is that Jenny.
B
Oh, that's weird, because they both wear Fiore.
D
That's weird. I also said their first name.
B
That's what I texted her.
C
She's like. She's like, for sure it's Jack Draper. And I was like, no.
B
She's like, what?
C
Someone like you.
B
I know, I know.
D
I was like, wait, wait, what?
B
Like, come on. I had to make it less obvious.
C
Okay, guys, you know. Yeah, so that was mine, but, Maddie, go for it.
B
Okay. I typed out my little.
E
Okay, I need to be all ears.
B
Okay. Retired. Already interrupting.
Retired at number one in the world.
Won major titles on all surfaces.
And for my little riddle, gray dust after heat.
D
Whoa.
B
What?
Yeah.
C
Gray dust.
Yeah. I'm not a riddle person. Jeez, that threw me off.
E
Can we, like, dumb down the riddle?
B
No, you'll figure it out. I have faith. Say it again.
E
I'm gonna ask ChatGPT to read it.
B
All of them. Don't cheat.
C
No.
Cheater.
B
Okay. Do you want all of them again? Yeah. Or just one?
C
Okay.
B
Retired at number one in the world. Won major titles on all surfaces.
Gray dust after heat.
C
I got.
D
I gotta sit on that one for a while.
C
Same. Jeez. Well, while we sit on that.
B
For the next.
C
While we sit on that, Jenny can do her fan questions.
E
Okay, everyone's favorite time of the week.
Let's move on to some fan questions. Okay, so.
I think we only have time for one question this week, so from. Oh, Christmas free 417. Wow. Shout out Orlando area code. Compare each other to an ATP player, either game, style or personality.
Jesse, would you like to go to first?
B
How?
E
Like, compare yourself to.
D
Oh, I don't want to go first.
E
Okay.
C
I don't. I. I don't know.
B
I literally. I've been thinking about this all afternoon. I can't think of it.
C
Compare.
E
Okay, I'll go first to an ATP player.
C
Although we did talk about one of them.
E
Yeah, I would say Mato Baratini.
C
And why?
E
Because we have the same birthday.
B
Oh, is that all.
C
That's not where I was.
D
You're gonna thought that's not why.
E
Well, that's not the real reason. The real reason is because. Because we are calves or kind of similar.
C
Is that a dis to Mateo or.
E
No, that's. Yeah, that's insulting for him, so.
But yeah, we both have smaller calves.
D
I guess you guys do have, like, big forehands, too.
E
Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. I would say, I mean, yeah, like. But he slices a lot more than I do. But, yeah, his forehand's a joke. Yeah, like, huge forehand, huge shirt. You were hacking it this weekend with the slice.
C
You were crushing.
E
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Jess was getting me a couple times on those slick indoor courts.
C
I guess I cannot think of it.
D
I said Mackie because people told me that one time that I like the female Mac.
B
Oh, my God. I see that.
D
Because we hit very flat and it's very. I don't know. But Jenny didn't like that. Not like my answer linear.
E
I don't see it.
D
Like, keep starting off.
I'd have to. Yeah. Anybody.
C
That was a tough question. I.
D
Anybody that thought about that flat.
E
Dez, you don't have at least like. Or like anybody like personality. I mean, you're close with all the Brits.
C
Doesn't mean the same personality.
B
I also like how it does his slowly. It's just like mattress. Like, straight darkness.
E
Yeah. It's like dark outside.
C
Five o' clock here in la and.
B
It'S just completely pitch black.
E
And I'm like, literally watch. Watch the sun set.
D
I'm trying to Daz his face. I feel like Maddie maybe kind of like a. Like Lindsay used to play.
E
Okay. But she's not on the atv.
B
That's where I got messed up.
D
I totally forgot about that.
B
I like, don't really watch men's tennis unless it's one of the boys.
D
Who'S a guy like, freaking like.
B
Like Francis Taylor. Ben.
C
Yeah, Tommy.
D
Who do you. Tommy, I feel like there's a guy that you play.
C
Like.
We'Ll have to sit on this one.
E
Marat, Safin.
C
Let's just bring him in every single time.
Maybe he'll finally listen and watch to our YouTube.
D
I would die, Jenny, if, like, you come to a tournament at some point soon and he just, like, he saw this, but then, like, sees you, I want to be there.
B
He would make so much fun of you. No, it would be so funny.
E
No, literally, I would just melt. I mean, I literally, like, just freeze up. Yeah, I froze up this weekend.
B
What else?
D
She's just like.
B
She gets so shy.
D
So funny.
C
Oh, bark, no bite.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tough, tough question from oh, Christmas.
E
Brie. Really getting in the spirit.
D
Yeah.
C
Oh, Christmas.
E
Okay.
Well.
