Madison Keys
This is the players box.
Desiree Krafczyk
Hi, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of the players box. I'm Desiree Krafczyk alongside Jenny Brady, Madison Keys, and Jess Pagola. Please remember to give our podcast five stars and to subscribe to our YouTube. As always, we very much appreciate it. All right, let's get into our unforced errors of the week.
Jess Pagola
Error.
Desiree Krafczyk
Jenny.
Jenny Brady
Well, I had a couple today, actually. I got a little frustrated on court today and smashed my racket. And then I was tired, and I'm still tired and hungry. I just got back to the room, like, yeah. Oh, for Des. I just got back to the hotel like, 30, 40 minutes ago and tried to open my room with my car keys instead of my room key. And then I just got out of the shower and had a bloody nose. And I thought it was just a big snotball, but it was blood. And I never get bloody noses, so that was a bit weird. What about you, Maddie?
Madison Keys
I have had a pretty good week. Uneventful, I'm gonna say. I had a winner of the day. I was flying home from Charlotte and I got on standby and I got on my flight. We didn't have to check bags. We got home, like, an hour and a half early, and it was, like, the easiest travel day of my entire life, which doesn't happen that often, so big winner.
Jenny Brady
Wow.
Jess Pagola
Great job.
Madison Keys
Jess.
Desiree Krafczyk
Jess.
Jess Pagola
I had a wild last 18 hours. No, it's, like, really? It's, like, not great. It's a little sad, but it's okay. It ended okay. Maddie. My dog had this eye thing going on the last couple days.
Madison Keys
Thank you for clarifying the dog.
Jess Pagola
Trust me, you're going to want. We're going to want clarification for this story. So last night, her eye was really bad. So I'm like, okay. She was in a lot of pain. Took her to the emergency vet. She has, like, glaucoma. Basically went blind in her eye. Literally had surgery today. Her eyes. They removed her eye. Her eyeball is gone. Like, yes. I didn't even tell you guys this because, well, one, I wanted to make sure she was okay. She's fine. Taylor's on the way home with her now. Like, all good.
Madison Keys
But she literally.
Jess Pagola
It's not funny, but, like, they took out her eye.
Madison Keys
Oh, no.
Desiree Krafczyk
She's just like this.
Madison Keys
Yes.
Jess Pagola
It's just, like, sewn shut and, like, shaved. He just sent me a picture. I'm like, oh, my God, My poor girl. So last night, though, part of the unforced error was that I guess when you have glaucoma, like, the pressure builds in your eye and you need these eyedrops that, like, immediately help drop the pressure. So they didn't have any of those. Called another place. They didn't have any. Called another hospital. Didn't have any. It's like 2am at this point. I was like, this is a disaster. I don't know what's going to happen to her eye. Blah, blah, blah. They finally found some. They had to send somebody to drive, go get it. Finally got the eye drops. She. I got home, I probably went to bed at like, 4am 7am doping comes. I was like, you're joking, right? Does doping ever come when you have, like, a normal night's sleep? Like, it never. It never happens to me. They always come when I'm, like, out late. I get back from a late flight, emergency situation, whatever. So 7am doping comes by 8am though. I was driving her to the eye specialist by, like, 10:30. They tried to fix the eye and they're like, here are your options. You can either remove it or do this. Whatever ended up on removing the eye. So then I drove back home because it was going to be a while. And then my hand has fallen apart this week in practice, and I have. So I hit with Spencer today, my hitting partner, for, like, 40 minutes just to hit and, like, not think about Maddie, like, going into surgery. I was like, I just need to kill, like, an hour. And my hand was so bad. So then I am, like, calling Quinn. I'm like, quit sending her pictures in my hand because I. I've, like, literally never gotten a blister I'm like, I don't know what to do. But I play Amanda Sunday night and Monday night, and she's going to be ripping backhands, and my hand is going to fall off. Like, it's going to cut. And literally today, my callus was literally, like, ripping off. I play with a leather grip, too, so it's like a bad combination when you get one of these. So then I literally just ran. We started this podcast at 5. I was just at someone's house, and they were taping me, like, 45 minutes ago. And then I drove here, and now I'm here. But it ended okay, because Maddie is fine, and my hand is taped, and I fly to New Jersey tomorrow, but all is fine. Everything's fine. Insert the meme of the guy drinking the coffee with burning in the back, but it's fine. So that was my. That was my. I don't even. I don't even know. It was like an unforced error of the last. My entire 24 hours straight. Unforced air.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Wow.
Jess Pagola
I don't know, guys. Did you go yet?
Desiree Krafczyk
No, but I don't know if I.
Madison Keys
Like, I feel like it's just kind of like I should have went. We should just, like, cut there. Let's just move on.
Desiree Krafczyk
I don't even know if I need to go because, like, I think you win.
Jess Pagola
Okay. But you can still share if you need to get it off your chest.
Desiree Krafczyk
Well, I don't really have an unforced error myself to top years off, but I think I need to just give an unforced error shout out to. I know some of you guys watch Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but this whole fruity pebble gate of one of the husbands drinking pee that tastes like fruity Pebbles.
Madison Keys
Wait, what?
Jenny Brady
Yeah. Do you not.
Madison Keys
Do not.
Desiree Krafczyk
My algorithm is just, like, skewed. It's like, yeah, tons. I think Maddie knows what I'm talking about.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. Yeah, Yeah.
Madison Keys
I don't.
Jenny Brady
Well, they touched on it in season one. They talked about it in season one, but now it's like, what is happening now? It's, like, really?
Desiree Krafczyk
Like, my whole algorithm is just, like, completely skewed. And it's just like, can you believe Brett Aang? Whatever. And Demi? He drank Ker pee. It tasted like fruity Pebbles. It was the weirdest thing.
Jess Pagola
Oh, I. Okay.
Desiree Krafczyk
I think that is just. Remember, that is just an unforced air in itself. But, yeah, that was mine. But I think. I think. Jess, you win. I think we can all agree on the unforced error. And I think.
Jess Pagola
Thanks. Thanks, guys.
Jenny Brady
Oh, my gosh.
Jess Pagola
I'm running on, like, three hours of sleep. I've been grinding, and I still made notes in the freaking stupid notes thing for this episode.
Madison Keys
I was still.
Desiree Krafczyk
Like, you said, I'm grinding.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, I'm grinding right now. I'm literally making all these notes. I'm so over stimulated. I'm gonna crash later.
Jenny Brady
Maddie the dog, you just need some cod and you'll be good.
Jess Pagola
How about a honorable mention for Maddie playing her Charlotte exo? And the ball was out, but it was in.
Desiree Krafczyk
Okay, that was insane, guys.
Jenny Brady
Yes. Yeah. Can you explain that, please?
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, we need to talk about that honorable mention of that tweet.
Madison Keys
Okay, so we were.
Jess Pagola
Sorry. Not honorable mention. Honorary. Unforced error.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah.
Madison Keys
So we're playing. We're playing the match. First set, whatever. I hit a return. It's close. I can't tell. They put the review on the board, and it comes up. The ball is on the line, but it called it out. And I was like, wait, what? I'm confused. So then I went to the chair, and I was like, okay, it says that. That it's in, but it also says that it's out. And the chair was like, well, the. We have to go with the ruling. And I was like, the. The ruling is confused. So, like, I don't know what we're talking about. And she's like, well, we have to. We have to go with the review. And I was like, I don't know if I just didn't understand her, but she was like, the light went off and I saw space, and. And we have to go with the call. And I was like, they just showed the call was on the line. She was like, no, I don't know. Just like.
Desiree Krafczyk
You know what's funny is that Brett Haver, he was like, oh, Maddie, don't lose your cool there. And I was like, oh, no, please, Maddie, don't lose your cool.
Madison Keys
It's just fun. But it was just funny because you.
Desiree Krafczyk
Were, like, trying to laugh it off, but you're like, wait, no, but who actually wins the point?
Madison Keys
Like, but I was more so. Like, I was more so. Like, wait, back up. If this happened in, like, a real match, I'd be losing mind and being like, what are we doing now? I don't trust any of the calls. Like, I'm gonna start challenging everything or, like, asking to replay every single call, but I genuinely don't know, like, what happens.
Jess Pagola
Like, but that's why I was confused.
Desiree Krafczyk
Was interesting.
Jess Pagola
I was that's what I. That's when she said I saw space. I was like, but the screen isn't showing space. It's on the line. Like, how do you. I don't know what happens.
Madison Keys
That's why I was.
Depop Advertiser
Well.
Madison Keys
And she kept. She kept saying, we have to go with the call. And I was like, I understand that, but the call is saying two different things.
Desiree Krafczyk
Do you not a supervisor.
Madison Keys
I should have called Carolyn. Speed dial.
Jess Pagola
Pam, where are you?
Madison Keys
I need. I need to call. I need to call one of our WTA supervisors and ask because it's gonna.
Desiree Krafczyk
Be interesting to see what they say.
Madison Keys
Because, like, the calls are made off of the ball, like, where the ball lands. So if the camera picks the ball up and is replaying it, as in, I don't know. I got really confused. I was mostly just like, I'm really confused. And she kept. What I felt like was she was trying to gaslight me and say that she saw space. And I was like, there's no space, but there's no space. Like, you're telling me that we have to, like, believe this, but this thing is saying two completely opposite things. So, like, I'm confused. So, yeah, that was, I guess, the unforced error of automatic line calling and, like, tennis players not knowing what the actual rules are.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. Which I'm shocked about. I feel like Maddie knows all the rules. Maddie's like, the person to text, but.
Desiree Krafczyk
But that, like, doesn't happen. Like, it's never happened, probably.
Jess Pagola
But imagine if it did. Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
You'd have to replay the point. Right. To be looking at the screen and.
Jess Pagola
Being like, that was out.
Madison Keys
But also, I feel like if it happened in a match, you wouldn't trust any calls.
Desiree Krafczyk
No.
Jenny Brady
No.
Jess Pagola
Well, do you know what system they use? Is it a system that we've used anywhere else that.
Madison Keys
I don't know. I don't know if it's like an approved tournament level system or if it was just. Just one of the new systems that they're, like, trying to become approved. I have no idea. Again, it was just an exo, so I wasn't gonna, like, get into the nitty gritty of it, but you best believe it was a real match. I would have been like, supervisor now.
Jess Pagola
I mean, for sure.
Desiree Krafczyk
What happened? Did you replay the point? Did you guys. Did, like, who got the point?
Madison Keys
Well, Venus was also like, wait, no, it's in. And I was like, that's what I'm saying. So she was like, we'll just give you the point. We'll. She was like, we'll just replay the point. So we replayed the point.
Jenny Brady
Oh, nice.
Madison Keys
I won the point.
Desiree Krafczyk
Okay, so it's all good.
Jess Pagola
Oh, my gosh. That's funny.
Madison Keys
It was super fun. I got to play Venus, which is always amazing. We have played a handful of times in our careers, but it was super fun to be able to play in a less stressful environment. So it was really fun. We both kind of got to be a little bit more playful. She definitely knows how to do an exo and, like, played up the crowd, and she was a great time. And it was really fun seeing the boys. It's been a minute. So to catch up with Taylor and Francis was really nice. So kind of just had a little 48 hours with some of my pals.
Jess Pagola
You played it last year, right?
Madison Keys
Yeah, I did play it last year. Yes. So Francis and I both came back, and then Taylor and Venus were the new additions.
Jess Pagola
Gotcha.
Desiree Krafczyk
And then did you have to come, like, early? Like, did you do, like, any of, like, the charity stuff before? Like, a day before or anything? Could you, like, sightsee or anything in Charlotte, or was it just such a quick.
Madison Keys
We went. We went the day before, and we got to kind of meet some of the people that were kind of like, a part of the exo. So we did that the night before, and then the day of, we had a press conference, and then we had a clinic, and it was really fun.
Desiree Krafczyk
Actually.
Madison Keys
Charlotte is a massive tennis community, which is really fun to, like. I think it's always really fun to go play in cities that love tennis because they know everything that's going on. Everyone is a player. They're all super competitive themselves. So we played a little, like, king of the court situation, and everyone was so good. Like, I know sometimes it's like you get a little nervous because you don't want to, like, run someone too much or hit too hard or whatever. But everyone was so good, so it was super fun.
Desiree Krafczyk
And I saw you were a little bit of a barista. I saw you making. Were you making coffee or. What was that?
Madison Keys
I was just drinking the coffee.
Desiree Krafczyk
Oh, I thought you were just making them and, like, chatting with the fans.
Madison Keys
No, no. I met two very nice women, so we got to kind of chat. They are both. They're both, like, content creator influencers that, like, go around the city and kind of, like, talk about what's going on and all of the new things that are, like, popping up. So it was kind of like an interview, but not really because it was more so just like, three women getting to like, talk about random things. And they told me that Summit Coffee is, like, one of their favorite places to go. So they brought it to me, and then I got to drink it there, which is great. I was like, you guys know the key to my heart. But, yeah, it was super fun. And I actually really liked the concept of having, like, a less formal interview, especially because it. They. It wasn't, like, tennis specific questions, so it didn't feel like you're walking into, like, another press conference. So, yeah, it was super fun.
Desiree Krafczyk
It's probably nice to have the men there, too. I didn't watch much of their match. I did see a clip of Francis. He brought out one of the kids that he was hitting with at a clinic or something, which was really cool. And he was actually really good. He was hyped.
Madison Keys
It was.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, it was.
Desiree Krafczyk
It was fun.
Jess Pagola
That was cute.
Madison Keys
No, everyone is. Everyone is, like, an avid tennis player. Like, there's Francis brought out him, and then he brought out one of the. I want to say he's a former Hornets player. And then he also brought out the Panthers quarterback, Andy Dalton.
Jess Pagola
Yeah.
Madison Keys
And they're like. They're all good. They're all so good.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
That's so funny. Yeah, that is cool.
Kelly Clarkson
Hey, what's up, y'?

Madison Keys
Well, my exos are now done. Jess is an exo queen, so she's got a very busy schedule. I think the rest of us are kind of, like, deep into preseason training. So what is everyone's, like, workout routine during off season? And, like, do you do anything Differently from normal training does.
Desiree Krafczyk
Well, this is like, my first week fully into preseason. Last week I kind of took it easy because I took a month off of training with the whole egg freezing cycle and stuff. So I needed to take it easy. And even just doing body weight stuff was really tough for me. So I was like, this is so nice to even get into the gym and get into a routine and just get in. Just, like I said, into routines. So this is my first full week and it's been good. It's been nice to.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Hit again and gain some. I don't know.
Jenny Brady
Get some gains.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, gain some gains, but.
Jess Pagola
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Jenny, how are you doing?
Madison Keys
Oh, oh, oh.
Jenny Brady
Go ahead, Jess.
Jess Pagola
I was just gonna say I'm getting into my exos. So I've been training and practicing this week, and I always feel like I never. Every year is different or when you take a break or maybe you have an injury break or. Or like, whatever it is, I always come back differently. I actually have felt okay this week. I don't know why. I think it was our hit in Buffalo that really just, like, locked me in.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
Because there's been some years where I am, like, I'm so bad. Like, I'm never gonna trust you to, like, fix this. For the first week. You just feel, like, really bad. I've actually felt okay this week, which is good, besides, like, the hand situation, but I've actually felt pretty good. So. Yeah, I have my two exos in New Jersey and Miami. Sunday night, Monday night with Amanda, back to back. So we'll see how those goes, but hopefully it'll be really fun. But kind of just like 10 days into my training, like, not super far.
Desiree Krafczyk
How much time did you take off?
Jess Pagola
I think I took off almost three weeks.
Desiree Krafczyk
Nice.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, it flew. Flew by.
Desiree Krafczyk
How much time did you take off, Maddie? I think it just depends on how.
Madison Keys
You feel, but about the same. Yeah, I took, like, a full. Well. I was also, like, low key on my deathbed post Saudi. It was so sick, like, walking up and down the stairs. When I got home, I was like, I can't do this. So once I felt, you know, somewhat recovered from that, I started working out again, like, a few times a week, but just at home by myself.
Desiree Krafczyk
And.
Madison Keys
I think I. From tennis, I think I took, like, almost three weeks off. And same as Jess. I think the first day that I started hitting, I shanked, like, every fifth ball. And I was like, will I ever be good again? Will I ever find it ever again?
Desiree Krafczyk
Well, so I know Jenny's in She's, she was locked in practice at Buffalo because Jess and I were just. Oh, wow.
Jess Pagola
That was our first hit basically.
Madison Keys
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
And Jenny was ready to like train.
Desiree Krafczyk
We're like, what, like acing here left and right. Like.
Jenny Brady
Well, I did take like a year and a half off, So I've been grinding. Yeah. So it's a little bit different when you have three weeks versus like 18 months. It's a little bit different on the body. Some things that you never thought would hurt, hurt. But yeah, you know, in the, in the preseason off season, whatever you want to call it, training. Yeah, it's going good. Going good, guys.
Jess Pagola
I'm excited to be back into a routine. And I will say I'm so much like sleeping so much. Not I was sleeping bad, but going to bed when you feel like fatigued and you worked really hard is the best feeling.
Jenny Brady
Oh, there's nothing better.
Jess Pagola
And you eat like a good meal and like you go to bed, you're like, oh, this feels like. I feel back to myself.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
I also really love off season training because it also. It's winter, so it gets dark way earlier. So you like finish dinner, it's pitch black. You get on the couch and it's like 7:15 and you're like, I'm so excited to fall asleep at like 9:30 tonight and get like a full nine hours and wake up tomorrow and like be right back at it.
Jess Pagola
Yeah.
Jenny Brady
Yes. Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Like being in routine is such a big thing for me. I feel like that helps so much and then you just like have everything set in stone. But I feel like sometimes people switching gears don't think like preseason versus off season. Like, what is the difference? Some people say off season or like preseason. Is there like an off season to the preseason? Like how does that, how do you differentiate the two?
Jenny Brady
It's like literally 11 months out of the year. So there really is no off season, which is.
Desiree Krafczyk
No, I know. It's just fun. Everyone intertwines the two. So it's like, well, what is what?
Jenny Brady
Yeah, I guess off season is like your time, like your week before, like your one week vacation or whatever you want to call and then you're back to the grind. Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
So people have like other sports have three months off and here we are.
Jenny Brady
Oh, well, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like every.
Madison Keys
But also we're all so insane and also have done this for our entire lives. That like two and a half weeks that I took off, I was like, what do I, what am I gonna do?
Jess Pagola
Like, yeah, no, literally I'm like I'm so bored. Yeah, we just complain about, like, God, the year's so long. And then we're like, oh, we're so happy to be back in our routine and, like, be back.
Desiree Krafczyk
What do I do on the couch?
Madison Keys
Or does anyone else have to, like, fight the, like, anxiety, like, voice in the back of your head where you're like, I haven't hit for 10 days. Well, I know how to play tennis again.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, it's.
Desiree Krafczyk
It's just a clean cycle.
Madison Keys
I've played for 26 years, but this whole week off, like, it'll be gone.
Jess Pagola
It'll ruin me. That was like, Jenny, she's like, can we hit in Buffalo? Because I'm gonna take four, five days off. And then, like, Saturday, obviously, after the event, like, Sunday, she's like, yeah, I don't. I'm like, yeah, Jenny, us not hitting. Not hitting Sunday isn't gonna, like, make or break our 20, 26 year.
Madison Keys
Like, we'll be okay. But that was even so last year. Last year, when Bjorn and I got married on whatever the Saturday, we drove home on Sunday, and Monday morning, Bjorn was like, I think we should go hit. And I was like, dude, I'm wrecked. Like, good for you. That was a crazy weekend. No, we ended up being like, you know what? It'll be good. The weather's so nice. Like, we'll just go to the park and hit. Like, it'll be a super casual hit. Everyone was like, yeah, I think we'll feel better after we do it. And it was, like, 10 minutes in, and we were both like, should we just go home and, like, play?
Jenny Brady
Yeah, that sounds great.
Jess Pagola
Sometimes that's, I think, the better answer.
Madison Keys
Yeah, definitely.
Desiree Krafczyk
Rotting on the couch.
Jess Pagola
Great.
Madison Keys
Is anyone else? Have. Have we done any other fun things? Do we have any fun things planned for our off season slash preseason?
Jenny Brady
I mean, other than going to Buffalo, going to a Jonas Brothers concert, infiltrating Jesse's life. That's pretty much my three answers.
Desiree Krafczyk
Tough.
Jess Pagola
But now you're back in Orlando, so you can infiltrate Maddie's life.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. So, Maddie, I'm coming.
Desiree Krafczyk
I'm going to Hawaii for five days, which will be so nice. Oh, I'm excited. Oh, have not been to Hawaii for a while. I'm meeting up with Andrew out there for five days from Sunday to Friday. So I will actually be seeing Lindsay out there because I asked her to feed me some balls.
Jenny Brady
Oh, my gosh.
Madison Keys
Oh, you're going.
Jess Pagola
No.
Madison Keys
You're going to the Big Island?
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, I'm going to Kona. So she's like, I heard you're coming. And I was like, yeah, I'm coming. And she's like, we gotta get margs. And I was like, okay. Like, after tennis or before maybe.
Jess Pagola
Can you elaborate on who?
Madison Keys
Like what?
Desiree Krafczyk
Lindsay, you're talking about Lindsey Davenport. Yes, that's who's gonna be there. But, yeah, Lindsey Davenport, our captain for BGK Cup. She's actually gonna be in Kona, which I heard is the Big Island. I've never been, so I said, let's hang. Can I have some tennis lessons and marks? Sounds great.
Jess Pagola
Sounds fantastic.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, it'll be a lot of fun. I'm excited.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, that'll be fun.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. Nice.
Madison Keys
Look at us. Well, I think we're all very looking forward to Christmas, obviously. And should we. Should we, like, throw together our, like, version of a gift guide, since that's a very Instagram influencer thing to do? Okay. So our gift guides, our favorites. Favorite beauty product.
Desiree Krafczyk
Oh, I'm gonna go.
Madison Keys
La Roche Posay sunscreen.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
Or like, the LED face mask.
Desiree Krafczyk
Is this your red light one?
Madison Keys
Yes, it is.
Jess Pagola
I've been a big fan of the little silicone face things. You ever seen those? They're, like, antibacterial because they're silicone. They're like the little tiny.
Jenny Brady
Oh, do they vibrate and.
Jess Pagola
Well, they can like the foreos. But you can buy them where they don't vibrate and they, like, stay, like, relatively.
Madison Keys
Oh, like a facial cleanser.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, yeah. You wash your face with it. It's like a silicone brush, basically. Those are really cool and easy to travel with. I always feel like they help.
Jenny Brady
I have one of those for my body.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, same. I have, like, a body.
Desiree Krafczyk
I've never heard of this before.
Madison Keys
I don't know why. Then Jess is just, like, nice.
Jess Pagola
But, yeah, they have face ones and body ones. I like those ones a lot.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, those are nice.
Madison Keys
Okay. Favorite travel product. I think we kind of all have the same answer at this point.
Jess Pagola
Yeah. Maddie's pick.
Madison Keys
It's the Coop camping pillow that I influenced everyone to buy.
Jenny Brady
I need to get on the train.
Madison Keys
When I mentioned it in a previous podcast, I got lots of DMS asking for the link, so we will make sure that we link it for you. Anyone else have any?
Desiree Krafczyk
Oh, wait, you have to add the little vacuum seal thing for it if you are traveling, because that was. That's clutch.
Madison Keys
The vacuum seal. Yes, the vacuum seal bag. It's like a Ziploc, and then you just roll it and the air comes out of it. So it squishes your pillow down. Also, I'm very bougie and only sleep on silk pillowcases, so I got a travel size to fit on mine.
Jess Pagola
Oh, to fit on your pillow. The travel pillow.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yes.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, that's like, next level.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. I keep forgetting to put my silk pillowcase on.
Jess Pagola
Do you know how many times I've traveled with them? And I leave them on the pillow.
Desiree Krafczyk
Really?
Jess Pagola
Like, at the hotel. I've done it.
Madison Keys
Okay.
Jess Pagola
Probably three times. And I was like, I got a.
Madison Keys
Bright pink one, red and pink striped ones, so that I always see it.
Jess Pagola
And I don't get it.
Jenny Brady
Oh, yeah, that's smart.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah. It's like, hey, don't forget me.
Madison Keys
And in case. Because sometimes when housekeeping comes, they strip the bed, and they're obviously not thinking that you're switching pillowcases. So if you do a white one, it'll end up in laundry.
Jess Pagola
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah. Oh, good hack.
Jenny Brady
Putting it on now.
Madison Keys
Best dog items.
Desiree Krafczyk
The ring camera.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, the ring cameras.
Desiree Krafczyk
Stalking Pluto. This.
Jess Pagola
Do you have any today?
Desiree Krafczyk
Today I actually caught him on the table, and I was like, pluto.
Madison Keys
And he goes.
Desiree Krafczyk
And I was like, oh, my gosh.
Madison Keys
I don't know.
Jess Pagola
So he heard you through the. Through the camera?
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah. Did he actually get a ring camera?
Depop Advertiser
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
So you. I have a ring camera just for my living room. He actually hasn't barked us yet, but it shows everything, and you can talk to it. And he just. I just saw him. I was looking for him, and usually he's in his bed, and he was on the table, like, just searching for food. And then when I said something, he just went, like, looking. He got off the table when I just started yelling because he was looking for me. But it's a great thing to have if you have pets. Yeah, it's my favorite.
Jess Pagola
Do you have any of. What are my faves? Are the. The benny bones, the chew bones. They're like flavored hard bones that you can get for puppies. I don't know if you chews a lot, but my dogs like to chew on stuff, and they're like, incredible. And then also the other thing I was telling you about before is the bark boxes.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
There's like a subscription, and they're so cute. They send you, like, this subscription box, and they have a theme, and they just, like, usually theme it around, like, holidays and different things, and they have, like, this. It's really, really cute. But they make really good also gift ideas for people with pets.
Jenny Brady
My sister does that.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, they're so cute.
Jenny Brady
Boyfriend.
Madison Keys
Favorite home Hacks.
Jess Pagola
I. Okay, I had a home hack, but it's not really a home hack.
Jenny Brady
It.
Jess Pagola
It's more like a sleep hack. But I feel like people need to have it in their home. But also Maddie influenced was the eight sleep.
Madison Keys
Oh, yeah. Sleep.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
But I'm like, it's a home hack because it's just like something you should have at home.
Madison Keys
It changes your life. Yeah.
Jess Pagola
So that was.
Desiree Krafczyk
I am a very hot sleeper. So, like, when I can change the temperature, it is amazing. And it just. I don't have to lift the sheets over and like, let my one leg air out because I'm so hot.
Madison Keys
So it's great.
Jess Pagola
I love being so cozy in the morning.
Madison Keys
Yeah. Yeah. I also, I guess, like, on a total different. It's not a mattress, but I have the little outlet plugs that have the remotes, like, all over my house. So like any lamp, you can like plug your lamp into it and then you plug that into the outlet and then it's connected by remote. So like when you walk into a room, like, I'll command strip them to the walls and stuff so you can, like, turn them on and off. But like my lamp that's on my nightstand, I have it attached to one so I can just flick it on and off with a remote instead of having to, like, get up and do the twisty thing.
Jenny Brady
Oh, yeah.
Madison Keys
And all that.
Desiree Krafczyk
Wow.
Jenny Brady
I do.
Madison Keys
I have that.
Jenny Brady
But with the Alexa. With the Alexa. So I say, hey, Alexa, turn the light on. Or hey, Alexa, turn the light off. And she does.
Madison Keys
Thank you.
Jess Pagola
I'm always acting that out. Thank you.
Jenny Brady
If I was. If I was at home, it would. It would turn the light on and off when I said that. But I'm.
Desiree Krafczyk
Is that what it does about, like.
Madison Keys
Alexa and Siri listening? I like, turn all of that off.
Jenny Brady
They definitely don't mind. Every now and then Siri goes, go ahead. And I'm like, I didn't say anything.
Jess Pagola
Also, quick shout out command strips. That's a great command strip.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
I just got a bunch for, like, Christmas decoration stuff.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
And especially, like the Velcro ones.
Jenny Brady
Yes.
Madison Keys
So good.
Desiree Krafczyk
It's also great for, like, hanging stuff, like your picture frames. You can just move it around.
Madison Keys
You have to.
Desiree Krafczyk
To put holes in your house, so. Love that.
Madison Keys
Okay. Best cooking appliance.
Jess Pagola
Mine is my KitchenAid rice cooker.
Jenny Brady
Oh, love a rice cooker.
Jess Pagola
It's water controlled, so it just like you put water in the tank and it controls for other different kinds of rice, oatmeal, grains.
Jenny Brady
Love it. Yeah. I've seen it at your house and I was like. At first I thought it was like, like a tank of water for like a hamster.
Jess Pagola
It looks like, like a fish tank or like. Yeah, it's a little. I mean, it's not small, but I mean, like when we eat, when we were talking about eating like rice and steak every night, like just throwing it in there and it keeps it warm and it's time, like has a timer and all. It's amazing. I was actually influenced by watching Jennifer Garner's Instagram cooking videos.
Desiree Krafczyk
Well, I was influenced by Jenny for.
Madison Keys
Cooking videos with the Breville.
Desiree Krafczyk
The Breville oven that Jenny was like, oh, my God, you have to get this. So it's great. I just can throw things in there. You can actually throw in a whole turkey in there. But it's just easier for me to do that instead of starting the whole oven and waiting for that to warm up. This Breville oven like, does everything.
Jenny Brady
So yeah, air fry. You name it. You name it.
Desiree Krafczyk
Anything.
Jenny Brady
Oh.
Madison Keys
Okay. The most comfy travel sets.
Desiree Krafczyk
Well, I love my Fiori dream knits. Those matching sets are so soft.
Madison Keys
So I.
Desiree Krafczyk
Those are my favorite. But I gotta say, the Nike. The Nike pants.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, I'm always the Nike pants.
Jess Pagola
We were influenced by Maddie don't have those for obvious reasons, but I'm sure they're, I guess, soft.
Madison Keys
I basically Adidas probably has softer ones.
Jenny Brady
Babylon has the softest.
Madison Keys
Travel. I always travel in like the. Just the biggest T shirt and sweatpants. Like, just. I mean, I literally look like I rolled out of bed every time in an airport. But that's how I prefer to travel.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, I don't really know if I'm traveling around in like a cute set. It's more like, oh, does looks like a set.
Desiree Krafczyk
I'm usually wearing black because she gets sweaty rushing through the airport.
Jenny Brady
You know, I'm never sweaty in the airport. I'm always cold.
Jess Pagola
Oh my God.
Desiree Krafczyk
I'm like so, like overstimulated and like, oh my God. Make sure you got everything and check your gait before and then, you know, then go walk around. I'm that person.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, I do that too.
Madison Keys
Okay. Favorite tennis racket. I think Jess and I have the same answer.
Desiree Krafczyk
I think Jenny and I have the same answer. Arrow.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
Up top. Jenny's going like this. Favorite headphones, the open ear Bose ones.
Desiree Krafczyk
These beauts. Here's a little closeup.
Madison Keys
Yes. I love those headphones.
Jess Pagola
I have the ultra open. I have those.
Madison Keys
I influenced someone to try them and she. Because they were on Black Friday sale. And she tried them and she sent me a picture that her toddler is obsessed with them. So I was like, I'm now influencing toddlers, so melt the brain. I've moved on to a different age group of people I can influence.
Jess Pagola
They're so good, though. I do really like them. When I bought them, I didn't really even know, like, what they were. It was like I bought them in the airport because my headphones broke and I was, like, desperate before a flight. And it took me, like, a second to figure out how they work because they're different. But then once I figured out, I was like, these are incredible.
Madison Keys
You can hear the ambient noise. So they're not, like, noise canceling, but I find them to be very comfortable. I don't really like having headphones in all day, but, like, for calls.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
And stuff like that. They're so comfortable.
Jess Pagola
And sometimes I literally have stuff in, Right?
Depop Advertiser
Yes.
Desiree Krafczyk
It's a gift from us. Open.
Jess Pagola
Yeah. Sometimes I've left them in and I, like, forget they're in my ears, and I'm, like, sitting down with somebody and I'm like, yeah, yeah. And then I, like, go like this. It's like. And I'm like, like, oh, my God, I left them in.
Jenny Brady
It's like I have the same feeling with my 9.99 headphones from Walgreens. Those ones you're wearing 9.99 wired headphones from Walgreens.
Jess Pagola
We'll make sure we link those in the. In the gift guide.
Desiree Krafczyk
Those do not stay in my ear for whatever reason. They just.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, they don't. Yeah. I don't know.
Jess Pagola
Because they're 9.99.
Madison Keys
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah.
Jenny Brady
But they say in mine. Okay.
Madison Keys
Okay. Final things. Favorite hair tools.
Jenny Brady
My. Oh, that's the Detangler hairbrush.
Madison Keys
The detangler. Which one?
Jenny Brady
The Detangler Hairbrush. I was influenced by one of the Kardashians. It's like $20 for a hair.
Madison Keys
What brand is it?
Desiree Krafczyk
Do you have it with you?
Jenny Brady
It's called the Detangler.
Jess Pagola
Go grab it.
Desiree Krafczyk
Is it in the.
Madison Keys
You didn't.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, I have it.
Madison Keys
Yeah. Can we see it? And while Jenny's gone.
Jess Pagola
Continue.
Madison Keys
Love the. The Kristen S. Curling iron. Oh, is so good.
Desiree Krafczyk
Should you have one?
Madison Keys
Yes, it's so good. I have had it for five years.
Jess Pagola
Oh, I love the Dyson air straightener thing. The one that, like, blows and straights. I never do my hair, so I'm like, a bad person.
Madison Keys
Oh, a tangle teaser.
Jess Pagola
Oh, yeah, I have that.
Desiree Krafczyk
Oh, you got. You Need a new one, girl.
Madison Keys
Good hairbrush.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, she's been Christmas present.
Desiree Krafczyk
On your way.
Jenny Brady
She's still. She's still fine.
Desiree Krafczyk
I love the shark. I bring that with me everywhere. I think I use it everywhere.
Madison Keys
It's.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, I hear that.
Desiree Krafczyk
Blow dryer.
Madison Keys
And then.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, I love doing my hair, so.
Jess Pagola
Or.
Desiree Krafczyk
Or Jenny's hair.
Madison Keys
Okay, final category. Favorite tracking device. I wear an aura ring a lot.
Jenny Brady
Oh.
Madison Keys
I was, I don't know what Jenny was thinking.
Jenny Brady
I was thinking like Apple air tag.
Desiree Krafczyk
That's what I just said. I love those.
Madison Keys
Oh.
Desiree Krafczyk
I mean you can track my bags.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
I guess that counts. You're tracking something else, not yourself.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, I love seeing where my bags are.
Jess Pagola
I like app called time shifter that does jet lag. It's kind of cool. Oh, it's like I don't like strictly follow, but I feel like when I have a really long travel day, I always like to input my flights and kind of like see what the best case scenario, like what I should do for the best case scenario.
Jenny Brady
That's smart. So like if you should sleep on the plane or not.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, sleep. And it tracks flights so it'll tell you like sleep on this flight for this amount of hours. Caffeine, like get extra light. Don't get extra light. No caffeine.
Desiree Krafczyk
Cool.
Jess Pagola
Yeah, it's kind of cool.
Jenny Brady
How often do you follow it?
Jess Pagola
I feel like for the first like the flight part I try to follow maybe like the first day, but I feel like I kind of know what I need to do. But I just like seeing it like mapped out.
Jenny Brady
It's.
Jess Pagola
I don't know, fun.
Jenny Brady
Makes sense.
Madison Keys
I also love like a Garmin watch, but I feel like it's like a love hate relationship because it'll tell you that you were like unproductive or you're like detraining or whatever. So it, it's a little mean sometimes, but it's also like very convenient and it's like a good way to travel or track like load. And it also, I think it also does the jet lag stuff. So.
Jenny Brady
I love my Apple watch.
Desiree Krafczyk
I love my whoop. Best feature is the alarm. Love that feature.
Jess Pagola
The vibration thing.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Just so you don't like wake someone else up or if you're rooming or someone like. It's not that blaring apple one where you just like panic when it wakes you up.
Madison Keys
Oh, I like the hatch alarm for like wake ups.
Jess Pagola
I was just thinking about the hatch.
Madison Keys
I love that thing.
Jess Pagola
It doesn't really wake me up though. I kind of just lay there and like I'm like half asleep, like in between. Like, am I awake or am I just like, oh, this is nice music.
Madison Keys
Do you do like the, do you do like the sunrise?
Desiree Krafczyk
I have that, yeah.
Madison Keys
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Except sometimes when I forget to change my alarm system on that because I do it on my whoop. It like wakes me up like at 6:15 when I'm trying to sleep until 8 and I'm like. So it's hard to go back to sleep. But it's a night. I like it. Yeah.
Madison Keys
That wraps up our gift guides. Also check out Instagram. We'll do some like personalized. Each one of us will have our own gift guides and we will try to provide as many links as we can. So check that out.

This message may be shocking to many millennials. If you are one, you might want to sit down right now. Loads of people are searching the following on depop. Low rise Jeans, halter top, velour, tracksuit, puka shell necklace, disc belt. You likely place these in the dark of your closet in 2004, never to be seen again. But if you can find it in yourself to dust them off, there are.
Jess Pagola
A lot of people who will give.
Depop Advertiser
You money for them. Sell on Depop, where taste recognizes taste.
Jess Pagola
Anyways, moving on to year end awards. Our player box WTA year end awards to be specific. If only us four could vote. I'm gonna name a couple categories. Let's start with Match of the Year. Does anybody have votes for their match of the Year?
Madison Keys
Roland Garros Men's final.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, Men's final.
Jess Pagola
Same. Best slam moment.
Jenny Brady
I was gonna say me winning Maddie Winning Australian Open.
Jess Pagola
Yeah.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
I feel like I personally enjoyed the only answer.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, we all did. We all cried.
Jenny Brady
I think we all did. Yeah, I cried.
Jess Pagola
Definitely.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
Best tournament moment for 1000s.
Jenny Brady
I think Ben winning Toronto, that was pretty cool. Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
I thought.
Jess Pagola
I was gonna say we're doing well.
Madison Keys
Was.
Desiree Krafczyk
Was a cool run though, too.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
I saw. I thought Mira winning Back to back 1000s was pretty crazy as well. Yeah. Best tournament moment for 500. I picked myself for one in Charleston.
Desiree Krafczyk
Okay. Yeah.
Jess Pagola
I also had Maddie winning Adelaide because then she won Adelaide and then one ao. So I feel like that was like an insane run.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
Back to box.
Jess Pagola
Yeah. We were just giving ourselves all the awards.
Desiree Krafczyk
Might as well give ourselves the alkaline.
Jess Pagola
We love that. Most improved men or women? Or you could give one of each. Maybe one WTA, one ATP.
Desiree Krafczyk
I want to say Ayala or like, even woman mentioned Imboko. Like she.
Madison Keys
Yeah, I was going to say that's just.
Jess Pagola
I feel like imoko Winning a 1000 is pretty insane, so I'd have to say her. What about the men.
Madison Keys
Most improved? Ben.
Desiree Krafczyk
I mean, Ben seemed to be rising.
Madison Keys
I thought Ben so quickly.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. But it's like. It's hard because he's like.
Jess Pagola
Already.
Madison Keys
He went from, like. He went from like 12 to 8. 8.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, yeah, of course.
Jess Pagola
I thought him or Jack since he got to like three.
Jenny Brady
Draper.
Madison Keys
Yeah, yeah.
Jess Pagola
Made finals of Madrid and won it. Didn't he win Indian Wells last year?
Jenny Brady
Oh, we were doing WTA.
Desiree Krafczyk
We're doing WTA. Year end, guys.
Jess Pagola
Well, we talked about doing men and women, so this.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, yeah.
Jess Pagola
Title's conflicting.
Madison Keys
Being gaslit.
Jenny Brady
We're doing WTA and AVP.
Jess Pagola
ATP PlayerBox Awards. Yeah. It's just.
Madison Keys
Your show, not mine. Okay.
Jess Pagola
Comeback player of the year. We're doing men and women. I've decided.
Madison Keys
Oh, Ben.
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah. Yeah.
Jess Pagola
I had Benchich. Belinda.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
On the men's side. I don't even. Who came back from like. I just remember the people who got injured come back.
Jenny Brady
Player of the year, Marin Chilich.
Jess Pagola
Oh, that's a good one.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jess Pagola
I like that one. Newcomer of the year, Ayala.
Desiree Krafczyk
I think we've mentioned a few.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
For the men.
Jenny Brady
Fonseca. Yeah.
Desiree Krafczyk
I feel like learner. That's a good one. Learner.
Jess Pagola
I mean, learner, I feel like is a good one.
Desiree Krafczyk
What is he, top 20 now?
Jess Pagola
Didn't he win another tournament at the or May finals? Maybe end of the year?
Desiree Krafczyk
Yeah, for sure.
Madison Keys
Made the finals.
Jess Pagola
Sportsmanship award. I always vote for Blinky Blink of it.
Desiree Krafczyk
Or you always vote for yourself or yourself.
Jenny Brady
So you'll find out.
Jess Pagola
December 19th. Coach of the year. Bjorn.
Jenny Brady
Bjorn.
Madison Keys
Yeah, we'll say Bjorn. I know.
Desiree Krafczyk
Give us a little credit.
Jess Pagola
Doubles team of the year. Oh.
Desiree Krafczyk
Ronnie.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Jess Pagola
I mean, they were just like.
Jenny Brady
I mean, Irani's like, doubles player of the year in the mixed doubles.
Desiree Krafczyk
I mean, for her to come in class.
Madison Keys
Yeah. Or Taylor and Cat. I felt like they kind of crushed it off.
Jess Pagola
Yeah.
Jenny Brady
Yeah.
Madison Keys
Player of the year, Amanda.
Desiree Krafczyk
I got a few of these.
Jess Pagola
Oh, I had Maddie and Amanda.
Madison Keys
Or, I mean, Rybakina had, like, an insane. End of the.
Jenny Brady
End of the end of the year. Yeah. Like, the last, like, two months. Yeah.
Madison Keys
She's been crushing it.
Jess Pagola
And I also thought samples of everything. Every slam, and then won the last U.S. open, so.
Desiree Krafczyk
And also Amanda backing up, like, her bad loss to come back and just do that again. Like, kudos to her strength.
Jess Pagola
I mean, I think I just. So many.
Madison Keys
Yeah. Sabalinka. I mean.
Jenny Brady
Yeah. Player of the year.
Madison Keys
If you finish one.
Jenny Brady
I feel like, literally say, like, I don't know, someone ranked, like, 900 suicle. Player of the year.
Madison Keys
Like, we did it, guys.
Desiree Krafczyk
All right, Jenny, time to shine.
Jenny Brady
Who am I?
Jess Pagola
Jenny, why are you screaming?
Jenny Brady
I'm flustered because I didn't. Because I didn't know I was up. I didn't know we were scared skipping that.
Desiree Krafczyk
I thought you were looking at the chat.
Jenny Brady
Maddie, would you like to announce who your player was from last week?
Madison Keys
My player from last week was Ash Barty.
Desiree Krafczyk
I did not get that.
Jenny Brady
I texted Maddie this morning, and I was like, what does your. What does. What was it. What was the last gray dust after heat? I said, what is gray dust? After he And I said.
Madison Keys
And then I said it. Sometimes it falls from the sky. And she went, I got it.
Jenny Brady
Yeah, that. That was, like, way more helpful.
Madison Keys
Well, I didn't want to make it too easy.
Jenny Brady
All right, are you ready for mine?
Desiree Krafczyk
Ready.
Jenny Brady
Okay, who am I? I read number. Still not. Okay.
Jess Pagola
Jenny's so flustered right now.
Madison Keys
She's amazing.
Jenny Brady
My voice is gonna fleet again. Okay, who am I? I reached number one in the world. I won a 2008 silver medal and two siblings at the top of the game, but only one lifted major trophies.
Jess Pagola
I think I have an idea.
Madison Keys
Two siblings.
Jenny Brady
Jesse's laughing, but I think she's wrong.
Desiree Krafczyk
Wait, say them again.
Jenny Brady
Okay. Reached number one in the world, won a silver medal in 2008. Two siblings at the top of the game, but only one lifted major trophies piece.
Madison Keys
Oh, I know who it is.
Jess Pagola
You have to Resend it in our text later and I need to soak it in.
Jenny Brady
Okay, well, due to the longer episode this week, we are skipping fan questions. But.
Madison Keys
What?
Jenny Brady
But we will do a mini episode with fan questions, so please stay.
Madison Keys
Wait, wait, run it back. You gotta redo that.
Jess Pagola
Oh, my God.
Madison Keys
Jenny's brain is, like, stuck.
Jenny Brady
I get. I get, like, into a groove and like, without the fan questions, I lost my groove.
Jess Pagola
My hamster's on overdrive right now, spinning.
Jenny Brady
It's about to, like, pop a fuse. Break a fuse.
Madison Keys
Oh, my God.
Jenny Brady
Okay, due to the longer episode, we aren't doing fan questions this week, but stay tuned. And we are going to do a mini episode with fan questions, so please make sure you watch that episode. And.
Madison Keys
Jenny, your voice is like.
Jenny Brady
It's like when I call. When I call customer service. Hi, this is Jenny.
Jess Pagola
Please.
Jenny Brady
My voice goes 10 pitches higher. Okay, just close it out like you normally.
Desiree Krafczyk
One more time. You got it.
Jenny Brady
Oh, no. I'm gonna walk in. Okay.
Desiree Krafczyk
All right.
Madison Keys
Do you want someone else to do it this week?
