26 I oh, let's go. I oh, let's go. Okay, We've been in Europe for a while now and it's been hot. It really makes me miss AC being cold at night in my Quince bedding because it's always light, breathable and genuinely comfortable.
D
It's luxury without the markup, so it's the perfect balance where everything feels elevated but still effortless.
E
It's time for a summer upgrade and I love that they have duvet covers in seasonal colors and timeless patterns like stripes and soft neutrals.
F
Their 100% European linen embedding is woven from high quality flax and somehow just gets softer every time you wash it. If you're more of a cotton person, their organic cotton sheets are incredibly soft and breathable. Plus they also make mulberry silk pillowcases and eye masks that help keep your hair smooth and your skin hydrated overnight.
D
Everything at quince is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. They work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middleman so you're paying for quality, not brand markup.
C
Everyone knows I love my sleep. I have the European linen duvet and it really has elevated the quality sleep I get. It makes being on the road even harder.

this is the players box.
E
Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the players box. I'm Desiree Krafczyk alongside Jenny Brady, Madison Keys, and Jess Bagula. As always, a friendly reminder to Please Give our podcast five stars and subscribe. Subscribe on YouTube. We are midway through Wimbledon and we have had a crazy few weeks. We will do a recap of our live show, give a little behind the scenes information on our snack haul with the fellow Americans in London, and we will go over some Wimbledon updates. But first, let's get into our unforced errors of the week. Jenny.
D
I got in my car this morning and went to Publix.
F
Oh, my God.
D
Oh, God. It's not bad. Well, I don't know. Okay. So I was driving to Publix, and
F
then
D
once I was just a couple of minutes into the ride, the low tire pressure light clicked on in my car and I had a little bit of a panic. But I had a winner because
F
I
D
took out Jessica's best friend. And my friend, by default of infiltrating her life, gave a unbelievable Christmas gift and basically, like, pumps up your tires. There's a bunch of other things, but. And I took that out of my car before I dropped it off at the dealership to get fixed from my little accident the other week. So I took that out and was able to pump up the low tire after doing that. So now we're all good. And I actually just filled all of them while I was at it. So we're good.
C
A car winner.
D
I got a car winner for the first time.
E
Wow.
D
So I'm. I'm taking that, Jess.
F
I have a couple, but I'm gonna use the one from last night. I have these. Well, we're in London. It's very hot. I think we've maybe. I don't know if we've talked about it, but we have these AC units and there's a hose that, like, goes out the window, and you plug them in and it's kind of like a whole ordeal over here. So I am lucky enough to have one in my bedroom. And so last night I was like, I like sleeping when it's cold, even though it wasn't too hot yesterday. And so I turned it on and I, like, wasn't getting that cool. And I was like, what? Like, why does this not feel as cold as, like, the other days? And I thought maybe, like, I just overdid it because, like, I've been using it so much lately. So anyways, I wake up in the morning and I'm like, gosh, it's hot. In my room. What's going on? And so I realized that when I left, I actually decided to shut the window because I have a crazy amount of bugs in my room. So the hose was never out the window. So it was just blowing hot air in my room while it was also blowing cold air or attempting to blow cold air to cool me down. So I wasn't, like, completely hot, but I was like, oh, that's why. So the hose was supposed to be out the window, and I was just blowing hot air into my room the whole night. So that was a fail. But I didn't have any bugs. So I guess there was a slight.
D
Win some, you lose some.
F
I have so many bugs in my house. You saw all the bugs?
D
Yeah, yeah. There was a. Yeah, yeah.
F
Dead bee.
E
That's.
F
I still haven't picked it up.
D
A dead spider. And then you actually texted. You woke up at the other night at like 1am and you texted. And we're like, yeah, I'm awake. There was a bug flying around. And then I got up and turned on the light and then saw a spider, so I had to kill the spider. And it was like a whole thing.
F
But yeah, yeah.
D
I mean, when you keep the windows
F
open, it's a battle.
D
It's not a marriage, Maddie.
C
But at least you have ac.
F
Yeah, well, if I use it properly, that's true. Or I have hot air. Maddie.
C
The other day, I was leaving site and just, like, coming from Eastbourne and then getting to Wimbledon and only having, like, a day. I was, for whatever reason, just, like, super out of it, and my brain was not firing, and I was leaving for the day, and I just walked out, like, straight to the cars. And they had cars available, and they're like, oh, you can go to the first car. And I was like, great. And I put all of my stuff in there, put my bag in. And she was like, it's so weird. You're not coming up, like, on the tablet. And I was like, oh, I'm an idiot. I actually forgot to go to the transportation test.
E
Oh, my God.
C
She was like, it's okay. You can keep the car. Just, like, go back inside. So then I have to go back and skip back into the building, go to the desk. And they're like, oh, it shouldn't be that long of a wait. And I was like, no, I have a car. Actually, I did this backwards.
E
I secured the car first.
F
That's kind of genius, though.
D
Yeah.
C
It was like. I kind of accidentally, like, luckily there was no one in line, but then by the time I actually booked the car, there was a line, and I was like, I'm really sorry, guys, but I kind of accidentally cut the line.
F
Sorry. I just won Eastbourne, so.
C
Yeah.
F
Yeah, I'm gonna get in any car that I want.
E
I'm gonna pick this one.
F
Yeah, they're all the same does.
E
Oh, well, it's another shoe story for me, I guess. I. So beginning of the tournament, usually there's no, like, time for doubles players to go and practice on site because of singles warm up. So I usually leave my tennis bag in the locker rooms, and I end up bringing it home with me. So I went and trained at Drains park, which is about 15, 20 minutes away. And get to site. I'm getting to warm up, getting ready, and I forgot my tennis shoes. And it's like, you can't play on grass without tennis.
C
Yeah.
E
Again. So it's just. I need to just remember. And now I have this, like, fear that every time before I go to practice, it's like, do I have my. My grass court shoes? Do I have my grass court shoes? And I check, like, multiple times. It's like when you go and check your boarding. Your boarding pass to make sure you're at the right gate kind of thing. Too many issues with that. So it's an unforced error that I need to stop happening. It needs to stop happening.
F
Don't you just keep them in your bag?
D
Yeah, no. Why?
C
Where do you leave?
F
Where do they go?
E
They go underneath the little. On the shelf with all the other shoes.
D
Maybe you should keep your spares there, supers.
F
Do you have spares, Desiree?
E
I do have spares.
C
Jessica, do you also, do you have spare hardcore shoes in case it rains and you need to.
D
But I know for sure Des would do that.
E
Yeah, Yeah, I have. Because I've learned since the one year at Wimbledon that it was raining every single day. But I do have a spare. I just leave my shoes out so I can air out. You know, I don't want to be stinky in your tennis bag.
D
And that's what the extra pocket in the back is for.
F
But you're right.
E
But anyways, so I forgot my shoes.
D
I'm right.
E
Well, hey, I'm good at admitting when I'm right or wrong. Don't worry. But, yeah, that was my unforced error. But we do have a collective winner. We have officially reached 50,000 followers on Instagram. So thank you to everyone that supported us and just loved all our content and our funny moments, bloopers, everything. So thank you for following along. Yeah, thanks.
D
50K, baby.
F
Let's go.
C
We're.
E
We promise we're really excited. Just, you know, it's a little. It's a little late right now.
D
That's all from Maddie saying. Yep. Make sure you like and subscribe.
C
Like and subscribe.
D
Let's recap our live show from London. What. What is. Well, it's like, I didn't get pa. I didn't get to look at Master Wheel.
C
Oh, no. Did my wi fi just cut out?
D
Does everyone want to give their thoughts on how they feel about having a few live shows under their belt?
F
I think we're pros.
E
I think we crushed.
C
It
F
was really fun.
E
We did a really good job of eating in front of everyone. So, I mean, that's like a double whammy of just, you know, winning in that department. But, yeah, it was really fun.
D
Yeah.
C
Jenny made me laugh so hard the
E
other day, so good.
A
We.
D
We. You all made me laugh. It was so fun. I think our chemistry and camaraderie really flows, and it's so easy to just be up on stage and, you know, talk.
E
Yeah. Like, piggyback off each other and kind of just go with the flow.
D
Yeah. Because we know each other so well, so it's like we. We're not gonna speak over each other, and I think we do better live than we do not live.
C
Well. It's hard. It's hard.
F
You mean the awkward silence we just had?
C
Yeah. Yeah, it's hard one, because now I feel like we've all, like, corrected too hard, that there's a lot of awkward pauses when we're talking to each other on, like, online, because we don't want to talk over each other. And it's way easier to tell in person when we're done. And also when we're online, we're all battling Internet all over the world, so
D
someone is usually lagging chronically online.
F
I rewatched it, and I was like, guys, we're actually really good at this. I was like, we crushed it. I'm obsessed.
E
It was such a fun episode. Like, just the food and just, like, what we were talking about. Jenny was just hilarious, to be honest.
F
The crowd was really funny. They had great questions, and they engaged a lot, which.
E
Which helps, you know, get the vibes going.
D
Yeah. That's also, I think, more fun in a sense of, like, when I'm saying a joke and then, like, nobody's laughing. Whereas, like, when I say it live, like, at least, like, a couple of people will be laughing. You Know, the only people that are laughing on here are in the chat. Does. Did anyone find any challenges of doing a live show as opposed to on Riverside?
F
We have way more challenges with Riverside. Love you, Riverside. Sorry. And thank you for giving us this platform, but we love it.
C
I think I like Riverside, though, because I'm getting, like, instant feedback of, did we forget something? Should we move on? Are we lingering too much versus in person? I'm like, we're just going on full vibes at this point, so good luck to us. Yeah. But in person is also. It's diff. It's just, like, different when you're actually talking to each other instead of talking to each other through a computer.
D
That's right.
F
And wasn't the live. We didn't have anybody else watching in, like, we were kind of alone, and
E
I think the deep end.
F
Yeah, we did pretty well on time. Like, we didn't have anyone telling us what time we were at or, like, wrap it up or you're going too fast. But I think we actually did a really good job, I will say. Yeah. Riverside recording. You can always edit something out, which the live show. I mean, if we can edit the live recording. But the people that were there, you know, they're there.
E
Good bloopers, though. Good bloopers, though.
C
Yeah.
D
Yeah, I think we did edit. But does anybody have a favorite part of a live show?
C
Well.
D
Well, I mean, I think I can answer for Desiree here in specifically talking about the London live show. The matcha lemon. No lemon. Yeah, but it was lemon matcha. The little Mars Battenberg cake.
C
Yes. Wow. Good memory.
D
Yeah, yeah.
E
Well done. It was really good.
F
All the desserts. I was very impressed.
C
Chef ovi.
D
Shout out to Chef ovi.
F
Why didn't we take any of those home? We should have said because they took it away.
C
They took it away from us.
D
Yeah.
C
I was sitting on stage staring at the cinnamon roll, being like, would it be weird if I take it off the plate, put it in a napkin, and put it on my chair a little to go? Box.
E
Like your Haribo stash.
F
I was very sad when they took it away.
D
Yeah, yeah.
E
Just the presentation and, like. Yeah. Again, going to the matcha marzipan, it was just so pretty.
D
Everything was delicious. That tiramisu bonbon was very good. Oh, my gosh.
E
Imagine having that for breakfast every day. Oh, my gosh.
D
Yeah. Yeah, that was really good. It seems like everybody did. Yeah, Everybody in the crowd was already, like, raised their hands.
F
Yeah, we are.
D
We love the cinnamon roll.
F
We had it this morning. Great.
D
Is there any self critiquing that each of you would like to give or any thoughts on what you think you could have done better in the live? Or are we just that good when we've only done two?
E
I'll say. My first live, I was definitely nervous, like, because it's different when you talk with your friends, and when you're nervous, you just go. And you just don't realize there's a. Like, you need to pause. So I think that was one thing that I took self critique for myself, but I think I also. Well, there was one point in the live in London I was like, so, yeah, we got some new merch. And then I kind of, like, paused. I was like, maybe they'll chime in. And I was like, anybody want.
C
No.
E
Okay.
C
Three quarter zip.
E
So at that point, I was like, okay, that was bad. But I think we just got better every time. I mean, I don't know. And like you said, the crowd definitely helped. Like, the engagement of that made you feel more comfortable and, like, welcoming in a way. I don't know how to describe it. Does that make sense?
D
Yeah.
E
Yeah.
F
They laughed, and it kind of was an icebreaker because it was funny. It was kind of awkward.
C
Or not.
E
We're not funny.
F
And you were like, come on, guys. And we all just, like, started laughing or something. I don't know. It was funny.
C
Yeah.
E
That's my self critique. Oh, I guess it's just me.
C
Jess is like, okay.
F
Yeah.
C
That was pretty fantastic.
E
I was phenomenal.
C
You crushed it, actually.
F
I wish you would have said the
E
whole full name of the chef.
F
Yeah. Chef Ovidius Denelaviches.
C
Oh, that was pretty good.
F
Still remember? I don't know. I think that. I don't know. I think that I wish I would have maybe, like, had him more in the conversation.
E
Yeah.
F
Like, I wish I would have bounced off instead of, like, I'm so used, because he was on my right side alone, and then you guys were all three to my left, so I was just more focused on you guys. And I wish that maybe I would have just bounced to him, like, in between. I kind of did at the end, but then I felt like it was awkward, like, oh, I forgot about him. I'm gonna go to him.
E
Yeah.
F
Like, I should have, like, panned back and forth better a little bit. So making. Making my guests feel more comfortable, I guess, is my. Oh, that's criticism.
D
When we were in the room waiting to go on the stage,
E
you have to tell everyone this whole thing.
D
So we're great. We show up to the Park Hyatt, and we're sitting in this room, like a grand ballroom. Yeah, ballroom. But we. We're in a separate room, and the doors are closed, and we're just waiting for them to, you know, get all the guests set up, sit down and. And set up the stage. And Maddie and I are sitting in these two chairs up against this wall. And then Chef Ovi is sitting in the chair next to Maddie. And then DEZ and Jess are sitting, like, in the middle of this room and in these two chairs. And then Jesse's agent, Chris, and Des's boyfriend Andrew are sitting in two chairs. So th. Those four, they're, like, facing each other, having conversation. And then me and Maddie are having a conversation, and then Chef Ovi is just kind of sitting there, like, I don't know, maybe, like, three or four feet to the right of Maddie. So I guess DEZ decides what. What? Like, no.
E
Also, Andrew was like, hey, make the chef feel welcome. You know, he's kind of just sitting there by himself. And I was like, okay. So then I just turn around like a little kid, and, like, she turns
D
around, puts her hands, like, over the chair, and is just staring at us. And I'm like.
C
And there's just no.
E
No one's talking. And Jenny's like.
C
It was.
E
Can I help you?
C
Awkward turn, too.
F
Yeah.
C
It was so fast. Just look at each other.
F
It was so abrupt. She literally just turns around like. Like, kneels on, like, the couch. Jetty just goes, can I help you? And then I heard what Andrew said, so I knew what DEZ was, like, about to do. But then I just hear Jenny say it, and then DEZ is like, no.
E
And then what did I ask him?
C
What did I ask?
F
Do you like tennis?
D
So do you like tennis? And I was like, what?
C
I literally was like, no.
E
So do you like tennis?
D
Yeah. And then I just look at Maddie, and I'm like, what is happening?
E
I was trying to make him feel more comfortable.
F
It was such an aggressive turnaround. And then Jenny's. Can I help you? Was so aggressive. And then does. No.
C
I guess it's like sisters looks to Chef Ovi.
F
So do you like tennis? So funny. So funny. Yeah, it was, though.
E
It was great.
C
It was a great live episode.
F
So, yeah, it was very fun.
E
Whoever wants to hire us for their next live will be here.
D
Yeah. Maybe my self critique is not be so hostile towards Des before our live performance.
F
That's actually a good one. Yeah.
E
Were you besides that part?
F
Probably at some Point, probably.
E
Yeah. Thank you. I appreciate that, Jenny.
C
I think mine was. I got so stressed about having to eat in front of people that I kind of tweaked out for a second.
F
That's valid, though.
C
When they set it all up and it was just sitting there, and I was like, I don't think I want to do this in front of an audience.
E
Honestly, didn't even think about that part. I was just like, don't take. Like, don't eat the whole thing, is what I was thinking.
C
Just take a bite.
D
Yeah.
F
They were also awkward things to eat. They weren't the easiest. Like, they were very cool and very pretty and very artsy, and we were just kind of like. Like, do we use the spoon? Do we just use our hands? Like.
E
Well, there was no fork knife, but we. I just ripped mine, and I was like, okay, little tiny bites.
C
Just be.
D
You know, there was only just a tiny little spoon. And I picked up.
E
For the strawberries and cream.
D
Yeah. And I went to pick up, and I saw someone. One of you grab the spoon, and we're trying to cut into the tiramis soup.
C
Try to.
D
Yes. It was Maddie. And then I was like, oh, my gosh. Are we supposed to use the spoon? Like, I was just gonna use my hands, and then.
C
No, that was during. That was during my internal melt work.
D
Yeah.
C
You were helping an eth in front of people.
E
I know.
C
What are they doing?
D
Yeah. And I was like, mukbang. And then nobody. What? Yeah, nobody. Like, what does that mean?
E
What?
D
It's like. It's like those videos of mukbang. Mukbang. Oh, it's like, when people eat in front of. They, like, they literally film themselves eating, and people watch. So I was like, oh, this is our, like, mukbang. Like, but nobody in the crowd, like, was.
E
I don't even know what that means.
C
Yeah, I don't know what that is.
F
I don't know what that means either.
D
What, do you guys not watch food videos?
E
No. Okay.
F
Only not as much as you.
D
Yeah, I know.
F
All right, well, in other exciting news, Princess Kate watched Maddie play today.
E
Jealous.
F
DEZ also saw her walked. Or. Sorry. Float by.
E
Floated past me as I was, like, waiting for opponents to come out. She, like, passed by, and I was like, oh, my God, there she is. And I was too late to grab my phone, so I texted you guys instead of taking a photo of her.
C
Yeah. I found out after my match. They were like, did you see who was in the crowd? And I was like, no. Who was it? Oh, I missed that. Is she still here? No, she's gone. Cool. I lost my moment.
F
I didn't see her at all.
E
I do appreciate that she goes on the balcony still and, like, meets the ball kids, because now with the new building, a lot of the celebs and, like, VIPs, they'll come through the Millennium Building underneath, so you don't get to, like, really see them on the Bridgeway Cafe Terrace area. So. But that was nice.
F
Taylor Fritz wearing a scarf onto. Was he on center? He must have been.
C
No.
F
Why would he be on center? He was on court one, though.
C
He was on court two. He wore Court one. Court one.
D
He wore this.
C
He wore it. He wore it again. Suit and today.
E
Right.
F
Yes. But there is a scarf, so. Sorry. He wore a scarf in a heat wave in Europe.
E
It wasn't that hot, actually, though, not that day.
F
It was cooler that day. I just wanted to make it sound worse. But, yeah, his look was a. It was. It actually, I think, looked great. But, like, I feel like, unless you're Roger Federer, it's like.
E
It literally reminded me of Fed. That's.
F
It was like, oh, it reminds me of Fed, but it's not Fed. Oh, I did it better.
E
Sorry, Fritzi.
F
But we appreciate the fashion, but it looked good.
C
It was very Hugo Boss.
E
Yeah.
D
Well, he for sure will want to, like, back it up, too.
C
Like.
D
Like, if I were him, like, if I'm walking out on court with that, like, I'm like, I better not lose, you know? Yeah.
E
If you're going to wear something like that, you get. You got to win, you know?
F
Well, I think he said something like that. He said, but if you show up in a full outfit and you get snipped in the first round, you kind of look stupid. You look really stupid, honestly.
D
Yeah.
F
So, you know, that's in the back of his mind is, like, motivation, for sure.
E
Extra motivation.
F
That was like me when I walked out in my really cool outfit.
C
I didn't want to say it either. I didn't want to say it.
D
I don't remember the bad memories. I was typing it in the chat.
F
Never again. I tried so hard. They're like, please, can you wear something different? I'm like, okay, fine. I remember I sent you guys all pictures of the outfit. I'm like, should I do it?
E
Yes.
F
You're like, yeah, do it. Jenny, you're gonna hold in like, 47 minutes later, I'm like, on a flight home, guys.
D
I shouldn't have done it.
C
You. Yeah. You texted afterwards, and you're like. And I walked out in that whole thing. Yeah. Worse.
D
It's so great.
F
Oh, it's so tough.
D
But then you're like, at least you looked cute.
F
Yeah. I saw.
E
Exploded on the court.
F
And I floated off really quickly. Floated away.
E
Floated her way home.
F
Yeah. Floated back home. I did see. Fo did kind of what like, I wish I did with my pants last year, but he had the button. I don't know what they're called.
C
Snap away pants.
F
Yeah, those. And he actually, like.
E
He did it well.
D
Sick.
F
And that was kind of cool. He did a good job. I wonder if he practiced that. We gotta ask him for sure.
C
We. Nike had a pair, like, years and years ago, and Laura and I were like, we should wear these on Court at U.S. open and, like, do it. And we were like, we have to practice. We couldn't get it. Like, we kept pulling them off, and they would get, like, halfway stuck. And it was like, I'm not doing this.
E
You're like, no, this was clean.
F
It was a clean.
E
He for sure had to practice.
F
For sure. Naomi also had an interesting kit. She had the kimono. Full kimono look. And then her dress. I like her dress with the flower.
E
I love the dress.
D
Yeah.
C
Is it supposed to be like origami? Oh, is that the inspiration?
F
It kind of like it now that you. I don't know that up possibly, but that would be.
C
Maybe I made that up.
F
You're envisioning it because they look kind
C
of like paper flowers.
D
Yeah.
C
Yeah. It's really cute.
E
It's beautiful.
F
I do like.
E
And she has on her bag and does she have it on her visor? I don't know. I could be making that up too. On the back of it.
F
Or maybe if we're in her hair.
E
In her hair.
F
I don't remember. I haven't really. I can't remember, honestly. Haven't really watched much of her play. I just see the pictures of her.
E
Yeah.
F
Walking out, but. So Bad Bunny happened the other day last. Last week. End of last week. Yeah.
C
Yeah.
F
Yes.
E
Saturday.
F
And I saw Novak went. Coco went. Sinner went. I think a bunch of other people went from the tournament, but those are just some of the bigger names. Nobody here went. I don't know if I could do a full Bad Bunny concert.
D
Asia went.
E
No.
F
Oh, she did. How?
E
Juju went as well.
D
She said. I didn't know one single word.
E
I bet you the vibes were so good, though.
D
Yeah, she went for the vibes. Yeah. She went for.
E
The music is just so good.
D
Yeah. She said it's Just like you're just
C
gonna dance for, like, three hours, but you don't know what anyone is saying.
D
Yes.
E
Some people had went to Harry Styles with Shania Twain opening up.
F
Saw that.
C
I would have known Maddie would have
D
went for Shania and then left. Yeah.
C
She opened.
F
I heard that his Harry's. I don't. I have no idea if this true, but someone told me Harry's mom was a big Shania fan. I told. Because now. Oh, you told. Okay, you tell the story.
C
No, you got it. Now I'm doubting myself. What you told me just made it up. I was told that on the way to Phantom of the Opera.
E
No, I was told that he. His mom was such a big fan of Shania Twain, and then they ended up being close and they introduced each other, like, long ago. And then he was like, wow. We kept in touch with Shania for so long that he really wanted her to open up for the show. So that's where she's doing. And she lives in London.
F
Yeah, yeah. Or spends a lot of time here or something like that. I was like, wow, that's actually pretty cool.
E
Who's your source?
C
Oh, that's true.
E
Who's my source?
C
Cite your source magazine.
D
Yeah, please.
C
And it can't be Wikipedia. Yeah. Chat gbt.
F
What was up with sinner's bloody toe? Did anybody see that?
D
Okay.
F
Oh, my God. I wish.
C
It was tough.
D
I was watching, and I was like, wow, Wimbledon let Nike put that much red on his shoe.
E
Oh, my gosh.
D
I didn't know he was bleeding until the encore interview post match. And I was like, why is. I was like, that is so interesting. Like, why is there red just on that area?
E
The.
D
Yeah, he had that look.
F
Was it a blister?
C
I can't believe he. I can't believe he didn't stop.
D
Yeah.
E
And also, he said he didn't want to stop because. Because of his. He was like, no. Like, I just. I wanted to go with momentum. Like, he didn't want to stop. And he knew.
C
I mean, kudos to him. But if I'm looking down and I see blood coming through my shoe, I'd be like, I'm dying. Someone get help.
F
I feel like I wouldn't actually get it looked at if I was winning. I feel like it's fine. It's good enough. I don't want to know what's going on under there.
D
Yeah. As long as he can move.
E
Yeah.
F
He was still sliding, and.
E
Yeah, that's doing his thing.
C
The amount of men that know how to Slide on grass now is a joke.
F
I mean, the hitting guy I was hitting with today is just sliding in the corners.
E
I was like, it hurts to watch.
C
Why?
E
I'm like, how are you guys doing that? Why? Save it for the clay or the hardcore?
F
My, like, my knees, like, every part of my body when I see them do it, I'm just like, oh, no, no, no, no. Yeah, can't do it. It hurts.
E
Just makes me think of a hyper extended knee, too. Like, I. No, there's no way.
F
Last but not least of tennis headlines, thoughts on Serena's return. How did you think Maya handled the situation? I think we can say safely. She handled it pretty. Pretty well.
E
Yeah, she played well. I mean.
F
Yeah, she played great.
E
Go out there and play Serena. I mean, I thought she did a great job. We were watching it the whole match, and we were watching with some of the Aussies and some of the Aussie coaches, and they were like, for. Especially because Maya's been struggling a little bit to go out there and win. I mean, she did a great job.
C
I thought it was really impressive that obviously Maya has been struggling, and I thought she was playing really well and then obviously got nervous trying to close out the match, which is to be expected when you've been kind of struggling. But it was also so impressive that Serena is just, like, back and competitive.
F
Yeah, it's crazy. I felt like I was in a time warp
E
that we'd be in a draw with Serena.
C
I'm, like, just saying that as if we haven't played her well.
E
I haven't, like, just for me. And like, I went to call. It's just different for me because of just. I never thought she'd be playing while I'm still.
C
Yeah. But she only retired a couple years ago.
D
She was playing in 20, 23 years ago.
E
I'm just saying for myself, like, being in a doubles draw with her like, that, I think is just crazy. Well, I mean. Yeah.
F
What would you do if you guys. If you had to play her first round?
E
I'd probably myself, but, yeah, it'd be cool. Opportunity playing for. You're playing a goat. Like, that'd be the coolest thing ever.
F
Yeah, I thought she. She looked pretty good. I mean, I don't know what I was really expecting because it's been a while, but also, like Maddie said, it hasn't, like, been 10 years.
C
Yeah.
F
Since she's played, but I thought she looked good and she seemed, like, very relaxed. I felt, like, towards the end before, like, when she retired, she was like, maybe more emotional because she knew she was stopping or something. So I don't know, it like, I felt like she was really relaxed when she was out there.
E
Like she had nothing to prove in a way.
F
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's. It felt like that. It felt like she was just like, I'm just here to, like, have fun for my daughter and have fun and show my family and like, come out here and compete because I love it, like, but I felt like I could see that difference this time around.
E
She has that competitiveness still. Like, she's still fighting and, you know, doesn't want to lose.

Okay, we are going to play a little game in honor of the World Cup. It's red card, yellow card or no card. So I think we kind of all know the answer to the first one when they say they could have gone pro.
D
Red card.
E
Red card.
F
Immediate card.
D
Yeah, like sit down.
F
Even though my husband does that.
D
Sit down. Taylor.
E
Taylor.
F
I tell them just, yeah, sit down.
C
A facetime with no warning.
D
No card.
E
Yellow card.
C
Yellow card.
E
If it's only from Jenny. No card.
F
Yellow card.
E
No card.
C
Cheering during a point.
D
Like, yellow, yellow, yellow if I lose a point.
F
Red card if you miss it. Because they were like, yeah, like, or they clapped before.
C
Oh, Jenny, I thought of you the other day because I double faulted and the whole crowd went, aw. I was like, I don't need this. Hopefully you laugh. You should have said thanks, guys in my head. I was like, I gotta tell Jenny about that one later. I love it when your pants don't have pockets. Red card, red card.
F
And dresses so I don't get bullied in the chat.
D
Yeah, we're not going to this. Back to this debate.
F
Just say red card if you know.
C
You know says pickleball is harder than tennis.
E
Oh, my God.
F
Oh, my gosh.
C
Red car.
F
Rejected from the game. Like, suspended for five games
C
when they start talking about their podcast.
E
Oh, no card.
D
If there are.
C
We plug the pod. We love it. No card.
F
Yeah, no card.
C
Doesn't return the shopping cart.
D
Yellow card.
F
Yellow, Yellow.
C
I was gonna say red card. I always return the shop.
D
Yeah, say red card.
F
So do I.
C
Red car.
E
I mean, I do too.
D
I don't leave it on the thing in the grass.
E
Have you ever left the shopping cart, like with like, you prop it up
C
for Jenny to say, I always take it back too. And there was suck.
F
No, I. I put mine back, but if I saw someone, like, not put it back, I wouldn't like, totally be red card.
C
I would just be like, no, you wouldn't be the petty person that like, puts it behind their car so they can't back out.
D
Can you do that, Maddie?
E
Maddie's in the camera view and be like, excuse me, you forgot.
C
I've never done that. I've watched videos of other people doing it and I laugh. Calling every close ball out from the stands.
F
Oh, red card, red card.
D
Get out.
C
Red card. Don't do that.
D
Are you watch from the couch.
C
Says, I'm bad at texting, but is always on their phone. Red card, red. Choose with their mouth open.
D
Red.
F
Oh, red, red, red.
C
Leaving after the first set.
E
No card. Depends if you want them to leave.
C
Depends on where they're sitting.
D
Depends if you're sitting.
C
It depends.
D
Yeah.
C
Threw a thumbs up at them and they were like, I'm leaving.
E
Yes.
F
There's a lot of. There's a lot of context. Yeah. Okay.
E
If they're in the box, leave.
C
Leave after the first set and they're in the box.
E
Meh. Yellow card. Depends who it is.
F
Yellow, like, it's noted. But Like, I don't really care, but, like, if something happens. And like, yellow.
E
Okay. What if someone's late to the box?
F
Write a card.
D
Is this like, are you adding your own?
F
Yeah, she's just.
E
I just added one. Yeah.
D
I was like, I don't see that one.
C
I'm not even looking at it.
F
I think that's a red card.
C
Yes.
F
I don't care. But it's like, show up on time.
E
Yeah. Probably you're getting a ticket to the box kind of thing. Yeah.
F
But also depends on who it is a little bit.
C
Yellow card sends 14 voice notes instead of one text.
F
Red card, red card.
E
That's a. That's a lot. 14's a lot. Like, seven's fine, but 14's a lot.
F
Red card.
C
I don't even listen to voice notes half the time.
D
Yeah, me either.
E
Really? I think they're so funny.
C
And then I have to figure out. Because they always mess up the words and I have to just figure out what we're trying to talk about. Doesn't replace the toilet paper roll.
D
Red.
F
Red card.
D
Like, what?
F
Oh, DEZ said that, like, it was deep.
E
Some people do it at the. At tennis, at the locker rooms. Like, or when you're sharing with roommates. Like, they just don't.
D
Roommates or significant other roommates.
E
Like, I'm thinking of college too. Like, people will just literally leave it on top and it's like, why it's not.
C
Yeah. When people leave it on top of the empty roll. That's a red card.
D
Yeah.
E
It's not that hard.
C
Watches videos at full volume in public.
F
I heard that. I will give them the cards.
D
Yeah.
F
That might also be like, ejected from the game.
C
Possibly orders a well done steak with ketchup.
D
Oh, that sounds disgusting. Who puts ketchup on their steak?
F
I used to when I was like 10.
D
Okay. I used to order well done steaks when I was 10. But not ketchup.
E
But I'm gonna say yellow card. Yellow card.
F
I'll say yellow.
E
Wow.
D
I'm going red.
E
It's not that deep.
D
Meh.
C
Underarm serves. No card.
F
No card.
C
No, I love it too.
E
Good. Respect.
C
I gotta. We have to pull it out one day.
E
Oh, I should have done today just
F
for, like, the content.
D
Yeah.
C
Yeah.
D
Dang. You should have. Just.
E
Today would have been perfect.
C
Says that they hate fireworks.
E
No card, no card.
F
Who hates fireworks?
D
I don't know. They can be scary.
F
Dogs.
D
Yeah.
C
People with dogs hate fireworks.
E
I mean. Yeah, I guess. No car.
C
Okay. Well, speaking of fireworks, Happy fourth of July, everyone. This Comes out, I think, right after Independence Day. Does anyone have any, like, amazing Fourth of July memories or. We're typically here playing in college.
E
Yeah. Great times, Fourth of July on the beach in Newport.
C
I lost one year here on 4th of July and had a flight the next morning, but went to a club that was having a Fourth of July party, and it was very fun.
F
Wait, that sounds so fun.
E
That's great.
C
Yeah.
E
Isn't it? America's 250th birthday.
C
Yes.
F
Wow.
E
Fun fact for you all.
F
I think when I was a kid, we used to, like, My family would, like, buy fireworks and set them off.
D
Yeah.
E
I used to do little pop. Pop rock things. Like, I don't know if they're called pop rocks, but.
D
No, that. You eat those?
E
No, like, you throw my grinders. It's like a. It's like a little, like, firework, but, like, it's safer for kids.
F
Yes. I like Asian markets.
E
Like, I buy them all the time with my mom. It's great.
D
I like the little snakes,
F
which. What?
D
They're like, snakes.
C
What snakes?
F
What snakes?
E
Real snakes?
D
Like fireworks? Yeah.
C
Snakes on a plane. What?
E
What?
D
Wow. You guys, like, don't know anything, but describe it.
E
I don't know what my book is. And, like, bang, whatever, same thing.
D
It's like a little snake on the ground, and you, like, light it and it moves.
F
Well, there you go.
E
At least maybe you had a better Fourth of July than we did.
C
I've never heard of that. Okay, last thing. If you could celebrate here with any sort of American food, what would you choose?
F
A hot dog.
E
A hot dog.
F
Like, a good one, like, hot dog.
E
And like, some sour cream, like. Or French onion dip with Ruffles chips.
D
Oh, wow. Wow. Yeah. Like a hot dog, but it has
E
to be so good.
D
Nice and charred with a Martin's potato roll.
E
Martin's potato.
C
I would kill for my mom's, like, cold pasta salad. O. Oh, I love that. In the summer.
E
Wow. I'm trying to think what else, honestly, Just on the beach or the water or the. The.
C
What are they? The fireworks? Popsicles. Where they're, like, red, white.
E
The rock, the rocket, the ro.
C
Yeah, those are good. So good. Is that what they're called?
F
I. I don't know, but I think so.
D
Rocket pop.
E
Rocket pop? Yeah. Rock pop. I don't know.
F
Oh, wow.
E
Totally made that up.
C
Yeah.
F
Sounds like a great day.
C
Okay, we're moving on to who am I? My clues from last week were TikTok famous, named after a football legend and known for twerking. Des got it, right. It was Zizu Biggs, I thought. I mean, yeah, too early. Easy.
D
I got it.
F
I also got it, but I cheated on accident.
D
Yeah. Jess, can you tell us how you got it?
F
So, yeah, we were talking to Zizu after he won Eastbourne in dining, and me and my coach were like, oh, congrats. Great week. I was like, yeah, I can't believe you play, you know, Ugo again, Humbert crazy. And he's like, oh, I heard I'm gonna be on your podcast. I was like, what? And he's like, I'm gonna be on your podcast. And I was like, oh, you are like, I didn't know that, but that's great. And he's like, yeah, yeah, Madison. I talked to Madison. And I was like, oh, he's talking about the who am I? And then I was like, oh, my God, the twerking. And he's like, yeah. She asked me three facts. What are three facts about myself? Like, three fun facts or something like that. And I was like, oh, it was you. You're the human. Who am I? And he was like, oh, was I not supposed to tell you or something like that? I was like, oh, no, no, it's fine. It's perfect. Now I know he saw me.
C
He saw me yesterday. And he was like, I told Jess. It's fine. I'm so sorry. I told Jess. Well, then I didn't know it was a secret. It's too hard to explain. It's fine.
D
Yeah, well, then Jess came, and we were eating, and then she goes, oh, I know the who am I? But I kind of cheated. And I was like, oh, like. And I said. And then I started naming people, and then she said, no, it's a he. And I was like, then you got it right away. I was like, oh, Zizu. And the only clue I knew was twerking, because I his tiktoks, and he's like, twerking, and it's really funny.
F
The first person that came to mind when I just heard twerking was Daniel Collins, though. And then I realized it was a he, but I was just like, it's not Danielle. Who is like. If it's not Danielle, who is it?
E
Yes.
F
All right, so it's my turn. So my three clues this week are. I don't know if these are going to be hard or not, but reached a career high of number six in the world would work with animals if he wasn't a tennis player. Favorite team is Fiorentina, which is a Football club in Florence.
E
Reached a career high of 6.
F
Said he would work with animals if he wasn't a tennis player. Favorite team is Fiorentina, a Florence football club. So you guys can make your guesses.
D
All right, thanks for the who am I? Clues and for your answer, Madison. Let's get into our fan questions from Ferris. Are there any new and upcoming tennis players that might not be in the top hundred that you guys think are exciting and has potential to win big in the future, either in men's or women's?
C
Well, Robin Montgomery just won her first 250. I'm a big Robin, Stan. So huge.
D
Robin, Stan. We love Robin.
F
Yeah, that's a good one.
C
Think.
D
Who else? Yeah.
F
What's her ranking gonna be now after that?
C
I don't know. She also qualifies. She qualified for Wimbledon as well. She was on like a 10 match winning streak or something and then almost be Palini and then played Paolini first round and played a very, very good match. Who else? Tyra Grant also qualified and she won her first round at Wimbledon. Who else?
F
I feel like all the young ones I know are already doing so well.
C
Yeah, every young person top 20.
E
His last name is Busey.
D
Oh, is he pretty young?
C
He was seated 31.
D
Yeah. He's already in the top hundred.
F
Yeah, I was gonna say I think he was seated.
E
I thought he just. Yeah, I feel it was a fault because I saw him do really well at one tournament and then didn't know if he.
F
Yeah. Isn't he the one that won Houston?
E
Yeah.
F
Yeah, he beat Tommy in the finals.
C
Was that boost.
E
Was it Houston?
D
No, it was right before French Open.
F
Yeah. He beat somebody.
C
Oh, yeah. He won something before Roland Garros.
F
Okay.
E
Yeah, well, top hundred.
F
Yeah. Honestly, all the young girls, I feel like they're like not in the top 100 for like a hot minute and then they're already there.
D
Yeah.
F
So I feel like there's a ton of young girls that have a lot of potential, but they're already kind of doing amazing. But Robin's a good one because she's been kind of in and out with injuries and she's always been like very good, like a big game. So that's a good one.
C
Oh, Claire V. Is also. I think she is back from. She's back playing from. She was injured as well. I think she played Wimbledon. Qualities.
D
