One of the most overused buzzwords directed toward women is "self-care."

Each time this term comes up in popular news outlets or social media, it comes with to-do lists of assorted treats to purchase or New Age activities to try.

I have a very different view on this important topic.

Self-care is at the core of my everyday routine. It's one of the things that fuel me to achieve big goals and has generally made me a happier person.

It's worked for me, and it can work for you, too. Let's talk about a new way to think about self-care.
