Can I say that you shouldn't need to cheat with this. It's not too difficult, but you've got to get, as we always do, in the top 10. So I've got a list of names below me here, and the theme of this particular quiz is the top scorers of the Champions League in history. Now, some of the names will be very easy. They'll come to you at the start. But don't forget, once again, they've got to be in the top 10. So, Michael, you've got a question. Fire away.

Just the Champions League. That is correct. Not the. Not European cup history. So, okay, who wants to go first? Me. Of course you do. I very much doubt either of you will make a mistake the first few. But who knows? Let's find out. It might get a little bit tricky later on. Alan, first pick is.

Absolutely right. He's. He just sneaks in with 141 goals in first place. Yeah, 141 goals. Nice, easy start, Fran. I mean, Cristiano is in Saudi now, and there's been that little bit of rumpus around whether he should have been playing in the World cup or stuff, but what an unbelievable career he's had. Obviously won the Champions League trophy on many occasions. Ballon d'. Or. Numerous Ballon d'. Ors. But an incredible goal scorer.

Unbelievable. I mean, to keep going and going and going and going every single season. The desire, just immaculate.

[Gary Lineker]

I mean, obviously, he's unbelievably talented. Cristiano Micah. But I think one of the great things about him is that extraordinary drive that he absolutely obsessed with, with numbers and scoring goals. Isn't he?

[Micah Richards]

You know what? It's a little bit of a shame. So the new generation on social media only know him for scoring goals, but when I played against him, he was one of the trickiest wingers ever. He had stepovers, he used to run down the line, he had pace and he could finish. But obviously, once he moved to that center forward position. Yeah, I mean, his hunger for goals is just phenomenal. Whether you like Messi, whether you like Ronaldo. I know we're all big Messi fans, but what he's done in terms of his drive and commitment to the. To the game is second to none.

I think it's okay to think Messi's a better player, but without disrespecting Cristiano, because he's up there in the greatest players of all time as well. Absolutely fantastic when it comes to goals, though, in. Absolutely right up there. Micah.

Oh, my word. Right over. Well, word on Messi. Oh, well, we spoke about Messi for. I mean, two decades of joy he's given me as a football fan. And it's not just the goals with him, is it? Because what I like about watching him play is not even when he's. He's incredible assists. And we all know he's got this just unbelievable vision for the game and he's. He's deafness of feel and he's. But for me, it's the little bits where he gets a ball maybe on the Halfway line. He's got three or four players around him and you think he get out of there, but he nearly always does. And a truly remarkable.

You mentioned the. The ability of these two players. What equally is impressive is the mentality.

[Gary Lineker]

Yeah, absolutely.

[Alan Shearer]

Mentality. I mean, they are just the mentality monsters, aren't they, the both of them? And they've definitely driven each other on over the years.

[Gary Lineker]

Yeah, I think that's probably true.

[Alan Shearer]

Yeah.

Back to you, Alan Benzema. Well, Benzema, Alan, is in fourth place. Fourth. Fourth place. Which is, I mean, really quite high. I'm not going to tell how many goals if obviously, again, who's. You got it. So you pick first, Alan.

I'm gonna guess 70.

[Micah Richards]

No, it's more than that. I seen a start a couple. He was on. He was on 85. I'm gonna say 87.

[Gary Lineker]

Very close. Micah. 90. 90. Nearly a bonus point. That's. You've been close on both of them. I mean, Benzema was the player that he didn't sacrifice himself for, Ronaldo, but he used to fill in on that side, didn't he? Drift out. He was such an intelligent footballer and great. Great for the team.

[Alan Shearer]

You would have a lot more as well, wouldn't he, if. I mean, not specifically playing for himself, but having to do that role of helping or sacrificing myself, as you said.

[Gary Lineker]

Well, he showed that, actually when Cristiano left, didn't he, that he suddenly started scoring more goals. Understandably. So he's went from provider, I think, to actually goal scorer as well. Shows how, you know, multi talented he.

[Micah Richards]

Was technically, was amazing the way, you know, used to drop off. I think Kane does it really well. Kane drops a little bit deeper, but when the ball was wrapped into him, his first touch was immaculate. And I said that thing a couple of years ago that I think Kane's better than him and Benzema score as much goals because Ronaldo's there and I got hammered for him. But yeah, he's a top player all round. Top player. Remember that game against Man City a couple of years ago? Do you remember when they had that. That big comeback and he scored that goal? Oh, yeah. Top player.

Yeah, he really is. Okay, on to you, Micah, your turn. So easy so far and understandably so.

Everyone knows who Big Meeks is. Come on out. But honestly, they got some really good players. They've got a tricky striker, a good midfielder and a good center off as well. Really good lads. And yes, I went down there. I won't give you the score, guys, I won't give you the score, but let's just say we was playing some scintillating stuff.

Can you improve them, Micah, you know what, what can you do? Because you're big on your tactics.

[Micah Richards]

Yeah, no, I do, I do love it. I do love the tactical, but Sunday league players.

Especially once they're at the.

Bottom of the league, the pocket is space. What I'm talking about overlaps what I'm talking about. They look at me like I'm speaking a different language. But in terms of what I can do is just bring that, that energy, that belief, have that one on one sort of coaching with them and get them to believe in themselves because, you know, when you. We've all, well, I've been relegated. Oh, you've been relegated as well, haven't you?

So you know what it's like when you're down the dumps. You need a little lift and that's what I'm there for. Luke is doing the majority of the work. The manager, like I said before, is really good. But I'm there just to give him a little bit of a lift, you know, give them that confidence.

I hope they haven't looked at your coaching record in the Bowler league this season.

[Micah Richards]

Oh, hold on, hold on, Alan. Just so you know, last year for Depot Trio, I won the league. We've had a little bit of bump.

Can you coach players at that level?

Can you improve them in terms of improving players? Of course you can. And they have to be receptive and. And they are. And they've got to enjoy it.
