Welcome to the Ringer NFL Draft Show. My name is Danny Heiferson. I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Korolbeck and we are going over the off season vibes for all 32 teams. Greg, we're going to draft some vibes
Danny Kelly
today for for a show called the Ringer NFL Draft Show. We do very little drafting of things but that changes. Today we will be drafting all 32 teams based on vibes over expectations from last year. That sounds kind of confusing. It's basically just when the season ended last year, the most recent season versus right now, how much have the vibes improved and we're drafting teams. Yes.
Danny Heiferson
Or decreased. We can, we're going to. We were talking about basically who was winning the off season. But what does winning the off season even mean? It's really, it's like, ah, how much happier have the fans gotten since? And it's like, you know, if you're the super bowl winner like the Seahawks, you really can coast off it. But yeah, so it's just, you know, value vibes over expectation. DK's the vibes king.
Danny Kelly
We each have our own big boards here. I love, I love a fucking big board. I got my own big board. Of all 32 teams. Each of us have our own. We're going to draft like NFL draft style where we're going to go 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1st, 2, 3. We're not snaking nothing.
Danny Heiferson
It's not a science. It's an art. And DK's the vibes king. But I think that the key is we're excluding everything. So a good example is there's free some. In all seriousness, the reason we do this is DK I think you pointed this out at first a few years ago that we kind of look at the offseason in silos. When the draft happens, we look at the draft and when the free agency happens, we look at the free agency and then the coaches happen. What we're trying to do is capture everything that's happened so far. So people look at the charges, free agency, and it's like, well, it's no good. It's like, well, they hired Mike McDaniel. That's pretty awesome. Mike McDaniel working with Justin Herbert is bigger than just about any signing that's happened free agency. So we're looking holistically at It's McDaniel, it's John Harbaugh, it's the Max Crosby trade happening, snip, snap. It's everything happening of how you feel entering the season. So with that said, though, there are a couple pieces of news I want to hit first and also caveat we we are recording this on Friday, March 27, so if Kirk Cousins signs or AJ Brown's traded or something in the next couple days, we'll hit it later in the week. The owner's meetings have started by the time you're listening to this on Monday, March 30th or whatever. So we wanted a couple things that are going to be talked about on Monday with the owners meetings. Starting with the NFL is going to threaten to use replacement referees again.
Craig Korolbeck
This. Again I thought we're done with this.
Danny Kelly
What year was that?
Danny Heiferson
2012.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And it famously ended with the fail Mary the Seahawks packers game, which dk. You could explain the referees literally just
Craig Korolbeck
like they got it right.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, they got it right.
Craig Korolbeck
I love it. I still just seared in my brain. One guy signaling touchdown, the other guy signaling like turnover. So good.
Danny Heiferson
It's a complete. The total lack of. You see what the lack of authority looks like in a sports game. You're like, oh, someone does need to be in charge of this. They put Ed Hockey on the COVID of Sports Illustrated. Roger Sherman had a break breakdown of this at the ringer a few days ago that, that I read on the 10 year anniversary, I forgot that another replacement ref thing that happened. Which again, just so you know, the NFL owners locked out the refs. They're like screw it, we don't need you. And they hired all new refs that weren't in the union. And then the referees in overtime of a Titans game gave the Titans 27 yards and a 15 yard penalty because it was assessed from the 44. They put it at the wrong 44. And the Titans were like, cool kick the field goal. Won the game. Like it was a mess.
Danny Kelly
That is tricky math.
Danny Heiferson
It's. You know, there's two forty fours. No one talks. So confusing.
Danny Kelly
It's hard. You got to go to 15 and start counting back down. It's confusing.
Danny Heiferson
Ref or 60. Imagine at 60. They can't.
Danny Kelly
I didn't know the Fail Mary. Also the other nickname for it is the inaccurate reception. I didn't. That's great.
Craig Korolbeck
No, no one says that. That was.
Danny Heiferson
Dude, that was. Yeah, it's. It was. It was ridiculous. And here's the thing. This is kind of all fun and games.
Craig Korolbeck
Correct call.
Danny Heiferson
But the other thing I want to point out though, about that past lockout. So the NFL literally went into an NFL with fake referees that year. In 2012, Roger Goodell was making $44 million a year. And this is a great thing Roger Sherman pointed out in his tenure anniversary column@theringer.com if you want to read it. So Roger Goodell's making 44 million. How much do you think the NFL owners lock the refs out over? How much more all of the referees were asking for? Collectively to 5 million, $3 million.
Craig Korolbeck
Why does Roger Goodell make so much money?
Danny Heiferson
He makes a lot of money to not give other people money, but like sick ass job just to give people an idea of the scale. The NFL is so militant in how they do this that they were actually like, were told all of the referees to fuck off for $3 million. I don't know the exact number they're arguing about now. It's more. I actually can't remember the last time the NFL was like really in a bad leverage spot. But like, I think this is all posturing. The NFL going to replacement referees with all the gambling stuff going on is insane. Like the end of like the idea that they will have replacement refs when everyone is like, the NBA has gambling stuff. College basketball, we're making it through the tournament. How many college basketball players were indicted on counts of point shaving this season? That went under the rug. But like the NFL has actually kind of handled it better than some of the other leagues. Major League Baseball had Emmanuel Clashe and like the Cleveland players, like that might go to prison. Like there are. The NFL has actually kind of stayed out of it. Referees I think would have such a big, like the perception that a replacement ref is gambling on a game is such a bigger deal than a player actually doing it. To me that, that I think this would be crazy for the NFL to let this happen.
Danny Kelly
Would replacement refs bring scoring up or down?
Craig Korolbeck
That's a good question. My first thought is they would just call more shit.
Danny Kelly
Or are they too afraid to. They just kind of let it. Let it go?
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah. I don't know.
Danny Heiferson
I think it would be crew to crew. They're so incompetent.
Danny Kelly
I think my. My initial instinct is that scoring would go up because I have to imagine if I was a replacement reference, I want to be on television and speaking as little as possible. So I'll just let things happen, which
Craig Korolbeck
is the opposite of normal refs.
Danny Kelly
If I'm not speaking, people don't notice me. Right. So I would probably just let things go.
Danny Heiferson
Can you imagine, like throwing like it's. You always see players working the refs on Monday. Can you imagine throw it at you?
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, yeah.
Danny Kelly
I've just let everything happen.
Danny Heiferson
Mahomes and Kelsey are screaming, you.
Danny Kelly
That's.
Danny Heiferson
That's unnecessary roughness. And you're like, oh, my God, Taylor. He's going to tell Taylor Swift.
Danny Kelly
I wouldn't even. I would leave the flags in the locker room. I wouldn't even bring them out. No whistle.
Craig Korolbeck
Have a clean game, dude.
Danny Heiferson
Godspeed of these repl. Guys.
Danny Kelly
I want a clean game.
Craig Korolbeck
All right.
Danny Kelly
Really. I. I really don't want. I really need it.
Craig Korolbeck
I need it bad.
Danny Heiferson
I've always wanted to see a world where, like, players in some sport have to ref themselves. Like James Harden, if he tried to call that stuff, like prison rules. I'm like, okay, you're going to get the kicked out of you. I've kind of always wanted to see what would happen.
Danny Kelly
Yeah. There's nothing worse though, when it's. You call your own fouls. And some. It's like there's always one guy who just calls every foul, trying to call everything.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Charge.
Danny Kelly
There's honor in taking a hit to the arm and not calling a foul. There's honor in that.
Danny Heiferson
You know, that's how I feel anyway, so I. The. Yeah, we could go to it, but no replacement refs, please. The other just thing from the owners meeting is they're not going to try to ban the tushbush that I'm going to try. Look at that. The Eagles lose in the playoffs without winning even one playoff game. The NFL doesn't care. It's almost like they were sore losers the entire time.
Craig Korolbeck
Which is ironic because the irony here to me is, like, I was against banning it last year and now I'm for banning it because it's a boring, stupid play and I'm sick of it.
Danny Kelly
Well, yeah. Well. And also maybe the Eagles are going to take even more advantage of it this year if we have replacement refs because they're not going to know how to call the false start situation. It's probably going to be even worse, dude.
Danny Heiferson
It's funny because the refs now at least have the wherewithal to. They make up where the. The spot is, but they know how to pretend because they. No, none of the other refs can see where the ball is. They're all making it. And then there's no replay help. No. The replacement refs trying to manage the tush push.
Craig Korolbeck
Can I just say, I just need
Danny Kelly
to see like five to 10 teams spamming the tush push effectively every week for me to want to ban it. If one team is doing it, I don't think we should ban it like
Craig Korolbeck
multiple plays in a row.
Danny Kelly
If it just becomes a huge epidemic where it's. It's like every third and fourth and one is the tush push, I think we could then reconsider.
Danny Heiferson
But. But yeah, it's funny because it's still quarterback sneaking. Like, it's just like, shut. It's like. And other teams have their tight ends. The Seahawks with A.J. barner, they like, it's funny. When Mike McDonald hired Clint Kubiak the coordinator last year, the only thing he like insisted on Clint, he was like, I'm not going to tell you anything. All I want is I want us to have AJ Barner have a tish push back. He was like the only. Which I'm like, that I joked about this last year. It's like, it's like IQ test of your head coaching coordinator of whether you try this or not. They're like, it's so effective, they might ban it. And I just judge the teams that don't try so hard.
Danny Kelly
But it's a great spot for like the backup tight end on every team now. They're like, cool. I get to score like maybe three touchdowns this year.
Craig Korolbeck
I also just wanted to add that I think it's funny that. Or I don't know what that. I don't know what it is. But the NFL has now turned. They're so good at mastering the calendar, the actual human being calendar, that the owner's meetings are like. We talk about the owners meetings. Like, Jesus Christ, give us a break here.
Danny Kelly
They're like, we're gonna win early April with the coaches meeting.
Craig Korolbeck
We gotta own this weekend.
Danny Heiferson
Last year, like, yeah, last year's baseball's opening day in the Tushbush were like side by side.
Craig Korolbeck
Ridiculous.
Danny Heiferson
Crazy. Well, we'll get to baseball at the end of the show. Maybe we're in a fantasy baseball league, which we'll talk about that. But let's get to the Vibes draft. So again, we wanted to kind of holistically talk about how every team's doing vibes wise, like who's winning the off season, who's losing the off season. It's Craig. You probably can explain vibes over expectation better. But the point is it's the Bills and the Giants. The Bills are way more likely to win the Super Bowl.
Danny Kelly
But that's not just which teams are better than the other team. It's not that. It's how much. How do you feel going into the next season based off last season?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, it's like, it's like those little stock charts of the stocks up or down. It's like if Apple goes red and like is down, like, you know, $10 on their stock, they're still higher than almost every stock.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
But if you pull up the chart from January 1st to now, well, Apple's red and another company is green. We're looking at the charts. We're like, how. How green? How up are you? How down? That's what we're looking at. Trend lines from give or take January 1st.
Danny Kelly
If you, if you think your three win team is now going to win nine games, that's a massive vibes jump. Compared to a 12 win team. That might go down to a 10 win team.
Danny Heiferson
Yes. So with this extremely scientific process, the
Craig Korolbeck
fact that we've had to expl. Like we had to talk for about
Danny Kelly
five minutes, I think people get it
Danny Heiferson
figuring out, I think who's. Who's winning the off season with good vibes.
Danny Kelly
So we're going to determine first pick with a trivia question, Correct?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. So we have a trivia question here.
Danny Kelly
Whoo, man. So off season trivia Hyphetz won trivia this year, right?
Craig Korolbeck
No one remembers.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, no, I remember because I won the year before that.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, well, I'm just dominating things with no rewards or punishment. We won Ringer 107. I won the trivia when there was
Danny Kelly
no thing on State for trivia 107.
Danny Heiferson
Man, we should have got the trip to Vegas.
Craig Korolbeck
Vegas, baby. Vegas.
Danny Kelly
We crushed, dude.
Danny Heiferson
We annihilated them. It's love of the game.
Danny Kelly
Also when you factor in how little time we spent on it. We won even. We won by a million.
Danny Heiferson
By a million. Oh, my God. Okay, this one is from J Bone.
Craig Korolbeck
J Bone breakfast.
Danny Heiferson
Two black coffees and a joint. That's funny. All right, that's a.
Danny Kelly
Two black coffees and a joint.
Danny Heiferson
Okay.
Danny Kelly
J.
Craig Korolbeck
Bone smoking a J.
Danny Kelly
He's like. He's like Leon Wolf of Wall Street. He's like, two coffees to wake me up, joint to mellow me out.
Craig Korolbeck
Hell yeah.
Danny Heiferson
That open. All right. The Leo opening scene in Wolf of Wall street when he throws the drink is unbelievable.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, it's. Is it the OJ and the champagne glass, or is it a mimosa?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
The best moment I've ever had in a movie was looking at my watch during Wolf of Wall street and realizing there were two hours left in the movie.
Danny Kelly
You're like, oh, my God, I Wish There were 10.
Danny Heiferson
Like, oh, my God, this is so not close to over. Holy shit. Okay, jbones trivia question. So dk, a couple weeks ago, just had no idea what incrustable was.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Craig was bewildered.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, I was.
Craig Korolbeck
So now I know.
Danny Heiferson
Okay, well, let's see if you really know, because Jay Bones question is, on average, how many uncrustables are consumed by all combined NFL teams over the course of one season?
Danny Kelly
By NFL teams?
Danny Heiferson
Like, all the. Well, all the players and NFL teams.
Danny Kelly
How is he quantifying that? Or is it just. He's just taking the amount of people and averaging it out.
Danny Heiferson
I think they're trying to take some research that's been done.
Danny Kelly
Is it just about how many people in America eat uncrustables and they're just using that and as a parallel to NFL players? Or is there a specific NFL players focused study?
Danny Heiferson
It's NFL team. It's like someone put together the. An estimate on how many teams. How many. Because they all buy a lot of uncrustables because it's like peanut butter jelly, quick snap. There's protein in it. Guys, like, eat it out of the weight room. Like.
Danny Kelly
Okay, so how many uncrustables are consumed each year by. By NFL players?
Danny Heiferson
By all NFL players on all teams in a season? It's from an athletic article. Okay, but I. Look, it's hard for you to do the fact checking without finding out the answer. Okay?
Craig Korolbeck
You gotta write the answer down immediately and then look it up.
Danny Heiferson
I should have, but I'm 22 during the season. But I'm rusty. So I just opened the email and really quickly closed it. Hence why I didn't know it was breakfast.
Craig Korolbeck
All right, all right.
Danny Heiferson
Three, two, one.
Danny Kelly
22,000.
Danny Heiferson
I said.
Craig Korolbeck
I said 15,000.
Danny Heiferson
15. I said 50.
Danny Kelly
I said 20. 2,000.
Danny Heiferson
Okay. The answer is.
Danny Kelly
Come on.
Danny Heiferson
You could also. There's.
Danny Kelly
Wow.
Danny Heiferson
We have per team numbers. That's incredible.
Danny Kelly
Wow.
Danny Heiferson
80,000.
Craig Korolbeck
It's a lot of.
Danny Heiferson
We were all kind of in the bull park, though. That's a ton. The Saints. Bengals only had 50. The Broncos ate 700. DK Seahawks had 320, second most in the NFL.
Craig Korolbeck
320 sandwiches are they.
Danny Heiferson
Is an uncrustable sandwich?
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, I thought, okay, now maybe I
Danny Kelly
don't know what an uncrustable. Wait, they only had 320 all year.
Craig Korolbeck
How did it get to 80?
Danny Kelly
80,000.
Danny Heiferson
Hold on. These numbers don't make sense.
Craig Korolbeck
What kind of math.
Danny Heiferson
Oh, sorry. It's a weekly. Sorry. That's 320 a week. The Broncos eat 700 uncrustables a week. 320.
Danny Kelly
I mean, you're right.
Danny Heiferson
That doesn't add to 80,000.
Danny Kelly
Don't they just make 700 a week is basically one a day for every player.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, roughly. That makes sense because I bet half the players eat them. And. And you ever seen how much an offensive lineman. Have you guys ever been to training camp? The plates these guys eat off of are huge. They look like serving plates for families.
Danny Kelly
Dude, how many uncrustable flavors do they have?
Danny Heiferson
I actually have no idea.
Craig Korolbeck
I thought it was just peanut butter and jelly.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, I'm sure they have other. I'm sure they're different jelly flavors. They have almond butter.
Danny Heiferson
You know, I think there's grape and there's grape and strawberry. I thought.
Danny Kelly
No, I see. I see a bunch here. I see peanut butter and grape jelly. We have peanut butter and honey spread. We have peanut butter and raspberry, chocolate, hazelnut and peanut butter and strawberry.
Danny Heiferson
Dude, Smuckers is one of those companies that. It sounds exactly like what it is. Smuckers should make jam, butter and jelly. That's perfect.
Craig Korolbeck
The Smuckers family needed to get into jelly.
Danny Heiferson
What are they up to now? What are those kids, you know what emails about tycoons.
Danny Kelly
I want to Crazy rich.
Danny Heiferson
Unbelievable. All that jelly. All right, so I found out that you're last.
Danny Kelly
I'm second if it's his first.
Danny Heiferson
Oh, yeah. Okay. I actually kind of didn't want the first pick.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, I didn't really want it either. That's why I guess wrong.
Danny Heiferson
Okay.
Craig Korolbeck
All right.
Danny Heiferson
So I go first pick. And I get the first pick in every.
Craig Korolbeck
Let me guess, let me guess, Let me guess. Who are you going to pick? Who are you going to pick?
Danny Heiferson
Well, I'm okay to talk this out.
Danny Kelly
No, first pick. Make the first pick.
Craig Korolbeck
Just make your pick. We know it's going to be the fucking Giants. Just make the pick.
Danny Heiferson
Dick is the second pick. No, I. I think.
Craig Korolbeck
Follow your heart. This is not a thinking man's game. This is.
Danny Heiferson
I think I'm going to take the Raiders.
Craig Korolbeck
All right.
Danny Heiferson
Because the Raiders, you know, it's a crazy pick. They. Well, the. Look, the Raiders, we said they won the off season last year, right. But the Raiders actually won the off season this year. They have Clint Kubiak at head coach. They're going to get Fernando Mendez at quarterback. And then the Max Crosby thing's weird because when they traded him, then you have the two first this year, next year, like, it's pretty sick. It's a little weird. But him coming back is kind of awesome because you're reunited.
Craig Korolbeck
Feel so good. Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
It's like you kind of. The Raiders fans kind of become defiant. Everyone's on their side. They're like, yeah. And it's like now you're rallying around it. So you have Max Crosby. I mean, they signed a bunch. They have Eric Stokes. They signed Taryn Johnson. Like, they signed both Georgia linebackers, Nicole Beat and Quay Walker. You could pull up the Georgia. Like. Like, that's fun. They signed Tyler Linderbaum to too much money. But, like, that's a great signing to pair with Mendoza. I mean, to be totally.
Craig Korolbeck
They managed to get someone to give them a pick for Geno Smith.
Danny Kelly
Yes.
Danny Heiferson
And so I look at it and I'm like, you could argue for. There's two other teams I think you could argue for. But if, like, you're a Raiders fan, I think even compared to last year when we kept being like, hey, Geno Smith's good. He was 35. Fernando Mendoza is immediately the best quarterback. The prospect the Raiders have had in 20 years since Jamarcus Russell. And I don't think Fernando Mendoza's a lot calm that Jamarcus Russell. So, yeah, I do think the Raiders won the off season. Like, the Raiders have been horrible and now they're. This is. This is a great off season for them.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, this is fine. They were third on my board. I totally get it. I think. I think bringing in Clint Kubiak is big. The number one pick. There's a lot to be excited about. I totally get it. I think it's fair.
Craig Korolbeck
Also, the beginning point was as low as you can get.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Would you say Evans, Michael Jordan was third in some teams board, so I'm fine with him being third in your board.
Danny Kelly
Okay.
Craig Korolbeck
All Right. You're up.
Danny Heiferson
So Craig's up.
Danny Kelly
I will take the Giants.
Danny Heiferson
I'm shocked by that.
Danny Kelly
I think John Har going from being a mess and day ball and the coaching carousel and all of this to now having John fucking Harbaugh as your head coach. And you are now going in with Jackson Dart Malik, a quarterback you actually believe in. And you, you have hope in Malik. Neighbors, you have the fifth pick in the draft. You're going to get Sonny Styles or Jeremiah Love. You have a last place schedule. You in a division you think you could take advantage of. I think they are this year's Cinderella team.
Danny Heiferson
I mean, obviously, I mean, you guys. So, I mean, I, I, I'm obsessed with John Harbaugh and I'm obsessed with the, with the Giants and everything they've done. Like, it's great. And I think at the very least, if John Harbaugh doesn't succeed as the Giants coach, pulling out the family and friends process that the ownership had put a lot of family and friends in places around the own, the organization that frankly, they kind of had jobs that were unfirable. It's like you just, you know, they,
Craig Korolbeck
they're turning it back into a football team.
Danny Heiferson
Yes.
Craig Korolbeck
Not a family business jobs program.
Danny Heiferson
And no offense, like a good example. We haven't talked about this, but the head trainer for the Giants was, was hired in 1978. Like, he'd been the head trainer for 48 years. Do you know how much medicine is trained in 48 years? I think women could still smoke while pregnant, according to the surgeon general in 1978. Like that. You know what I mean? Like, you could smoke on airplanes.
Craig Korolbeck
No tariffs.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Just no tar.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Just toasted cigarettes.
Danny Kelly
Virginia Slims.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Like, and now we have 20, 26. We knew how much Alvin Camara's hamstrings weighed like six years ago at this point. Like, and so little updates like that.
Danny Kelly
Yeah. We still don't know if milk's good for you. Milk good or bad? We don't know.
Danny Heiferson
Well, eggs too. The cholesterol for eggs. Every 10 years they change their mind.
Danny Kelly
Okay. Is milk good for you or not? Do you know? Yes, it is.
Craig Korolbeck
Yes.
Danny Kelly
Everybody should drink milk.
Danny Heiferson
I'm not terrified of drinking, but.
Danny Kelly
Right. But pasteurized milk is good for you.
Danny Heiferson
Craig, did you ever see the Seinfeld episode where K drinks so much milk he gets kidney stones?
Danny Kelly
I've watched every episode of Seinfeld.
Danny Heiferson
I stopped, I stopped drinking milk as a child because I saw that Seinfeld. I didn't want kidney Stones.
Danny Kelly
And your parents weren't like, you're fine.
Danny Heiferson
They. I didn't trust them.
Danny Kelly
I was like, every mammal didn't trust them. I trusted Kramer.
Craig Korolbeck
Every mammal drinks milk the first whatever days of their life or months or years. Yeah, it's got to be good for you.
Danny Kelly
I mean, you can't even have water for the first six months of your life.
Danny Heiferson
My dad was like, it's fine. And I was like, well, didn't you have debilitating kidney stones at Mets. At a Mets game? And you had to walk around Shea Stadium for like, like all game? And he was like, yes. And I was like, so you don't know what you're talking about.
Danny Kelly
All right, D.K. go. You're up.
Craig Korolbeck
All right, I'm gonna go with the Minnesota Vikings.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Who got a. A starting caliber quarterback for nothing. And pair that with. Especially pair that with the fact that they let the super bowl champion quarterback leave on their own. They. They allowed that to happen. That's tough. Seeing him go to Seattle, win a Super bowl after winning 14 games last year. The vibes probably were not super great at that point. The outlook is not super great with JJ McCarthy. He was horrific this last year. What are we going to do? They're kind of just in a quagmire, and then all of a sudden, Kyler freaking Murray falls into their lap for $1 million. $1 million. They were. I was looking over what the Vikings did in the off season. There was very few moves this team made. It was like basically nothing. And then they got Kyler Murray. I mean, they. They retained Aaron Wilson. They. Sorry, not Aaron Wilson.
Danny Kelly
Eric Wilson, the linebacker.
Danny Heiferson
Aaron Wilson is the reporter, covers the Texans.
Craig Korolbeck
And who is the running back? I'm blanking on the name Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones.
Danny Kelly
I brought in Eric Wilson.
Craig Korolbeck
Right. I. I like, transcribed those wrong.
Danny Heiferson
He probably posted the news you saw, so I guess.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Anyways. Oh, that's right. Yeah. He's a reporter. So anyways, I just think the Vikings, especially compared to right after the super bowl when we were like, God, we let this super bowl winning quarterback go and we just. And we backed the wrong horse. Now they have another chance to get back in it. I mean, they could win. They could. They could be one of the most competitive teams in the NFC next year.
Danny Heiferson
So I docked Minnesota a little. I agree that if just Kyler in a vacuum, at the end of the day, they got the biggest upgrade of the entire year at the most important position in sports. And they could argue that.
Craig Korolbeck
And another team is paying him yeah,
Danny Heiferson
they're like, someone else is paying. Like Kyler Murray is getting a million dollars. And again, the biggest leap you can make is other than average quarterback to elite is the worst quarterback in the NFL, maybe to average or above average, like J.J. mcCarthy to Kyler is a huge upgrade in a vacuum. I agree. They're top tier vibes. I actually had the Vikings second tier because getting Kyler and then the Vikings also signed Carson Wentz is an admission that, like Kevin O' Connell does not believe in JG McCarthy. And not only is he not the starter, we don't even want him to be the fucking backup. Like, if Kyler gets hurt, Wentz is playing. And so you get like, let's be honest, this Darnold won the Super Bowl. That stings. Vikings fans watching the run. You're like, oh, my God. Then you're like, well, you've talked yourself in a J.J. mcCarthy. You're like, oh, my God. Kevin O', Connell, the GM is fired, by the way. The Vikings gym gets fired. And Kevin o' Connell's like, I am out on this guy.
Craig Korolbeck
Vikings fans are talking themselves into J.J. mcCarthy at this point.
Danny Heiferson
Of course, they all had been like, he's your quarterback. You think they give up on the quarterback after one year?
Craig Korolbeck
Starting after the year it was over. Anybody? People don't give during the season. Sure. At this point, you got to. You got to see the writing on the wall.
Danny Kelly
I think that the Vikings belong in tier one. My tier one was Vikings, Giants and Raiders.
Craig Korolbeck
And I think it's funny. Same with me. I feel, yeah.
Danny Kelly
The reason here's why the Vikings should be there. Last year with JJ McCarthy, if you asked a Vikings fan in week 10, do you guys have a shot to win the Super Bowl? They'd say, no fucking way. Now if I said, do you have a shot to win the Super Bowl? They'd say, yeah, yeah. And how many teams can say that?
Danny Heiferson
That's super fair. So that's super fair.
Danny Kelly
Then, like, would I be shocked if the Vikings were in the Super Bowl? No, because I think their roster and their coach and everything is good enough and Kyler theoretically is good enough that they could be in the Super Bowl, I think.
Danny Heiferson
And to that point, we talk so much about quarterbacks and rookie contracts, like Fernando Mendoza, how valuable it is. You can take that money, spend it elsewhere. Fernando Mendoza for the Raiders, he's still going to get like 12 or more than that million dollars this year. KYLER Murray is 1/12 that price. Like, this is the new version is like, you get These former top picks who've had more experience on a short deal for very little and then have. You know what I mean? It's. It's in a way the new thing. So anyway, my pick then I'm going to take the other team I was thinking about for the first pick, which is the Seattle Seahawks. Crazy. A little interesting.
Danny Kelly
Crazy pick.
Craig Korolbeck
I don't even have them even remotely in this zone.
Danny Heiferson
Most teams the, like good vibes won the off season. I get it. But if we're being honest, the super bowl vibes linger. It's like the best offseason ever of your life is after you won the
Craig Korolbeck
super bowl, breaking the rules of this whole project. But that's.
Danny Kelly
No, I get it. I get what you mean.
Danny Heiferson
Everything you see like you're on jack. Here's.
Craig Korolbeck
Here's things like we didn't do fucking jack shit in free agency. But you know what?
Danny Heiferson
You, you kept your entire hard. You kept Jackson Smith and Jigba, the offensive player, year to a six year team friendly deal. They put 40 million out here in the media. It's $30 million a year. It's a six. He's under contract for six years. He's only 24. You have him for his entire 20s. You kept Jake Bobo, who's like your team master. I don't like time you kept.
Danny Kelly
You're throwing out Jake Bobo here.
Danny Heiferson
My God, how much does your fans love Jake Bobo?
Craig Korolbeck
Okay, but I know I look, people like, it's kind of like a meme thing, but like, they like Jake Bobo
Danny Kelly
because if his name is Jake Smith
Craig Korolbeck
and like a very specific role player, his last name is Bobo. When he was cool as hell 9 and 40, he was on pardon my
Danny Kelly
take, and he was awesome. I like Jake Bobo.
Danny Heiferson
Well, yeah, because, yeah, I, I understand cheating a little with the off season part, but.
Danny Kelly
No, no, it's okay.
Danny Heiferson
Super bowl champion is it. They literally won the season. You do also kind of win the off season when you win the actual season. If your teams want a championship that lingers and they accept the important parts in defense.
Craig Korolbeck
The reason I didn't have them hired, one of the main reasons I didn't have them hired is like the, the vibes were so elite at the end of the season, it's hard to like judge the Delta. Like, you know what I mean? We're talking about the difference between what people were feeling at the end of the year and what they're feeling now. So that's why I think I was in like the middle. But speaking as a Seahawks Fan. Seahawks fans are very confident still. And what happened this off season, of course, you know, the core still together. You know, they got Rashid Shahid back. He's been such a crucial part of their offense and special teams.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, you lost, boy. Mafe. Kenneth Walker, Kobe Bryant and Reek Woolen.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, which.
Danny Kelly
Which is not enough for the.
Craig Korolbeck
Like, three out of four of those guys are pretty much expected. We. I think Seahawk fans, sober Seahawk fans, would have expected. We keep maybe one of those guys. But losing all four, a little bit disappointing. I was most disappointed in losing Kenneth Walker, personally, but he's a running back, so you can kind of, you know, talk yourself out of that.
Danny Kelly
Okay, I'm up.
Craig Korolbeck
All right. Craig's up.
Danny Kelly
I'm taking the Los Angeles Rams.
Craig Korolbeck
The Rams.
Danny Kelly
Yeah. I think the Rams have good vibes. I think even though they got close last year, and I'm sure they thought this is our chance. I think heading into the season, I think. I think you have to trust Matt Stafford and a lot of that is hope that he can stay healthy. But he did last year. But they basically are just like, running it back. Fuck it. Yolo. We're leaning all the way in again. We're trading. We took both of the Chiefs corners. We traded a first for Trent McDuffie. Who cares? We have Jalen Watson. That was our fuck that picks. That was our biggest hole in defense. Cool. We got two good corners. We. We still have the 13th pick in the draft. The Super Bowl's in LA this year. YOLO. Fuck it. Let's do it again.
Craig Korolbeck
Counterpoint. Puka to Kua having a horrific off season.
Danny Heiferson
Why? What happened?
Craig Korolbeck
DK just your superstar receiver is so stupid. He's like sabotaging stupid star his own contract.
Danny Heiferson
At this point, I will say I think Pukinaku is having a number one receiver offseason.
Danny Kelly
He's having an I'm really famous now off season.
Danny Heiferson
Yes.
Danny Kelly
And I don't know what I'm doing with my. With fame off season.
Danny Heiferson
I. Puka is obviously. He just was accused of biting a woman like you saying crazy shit. I will say the. The things he's saying. I. I don't even. It's kind of like Camp Scato. I can't say I care necessarily what Puka thinks about the world. He's a pro athlete who just ate jack in the box on the way to work every day and the way for dinner on the way back. But the flip side is no judgment. I mostly have been there. Well, you're right. You've played Great. I also just keep thinking about all the other athletes that, man, they're so lucky they weren't on live streams, YouTubes in the 90s. Can you imagine, Michael. Michael Irvin once stabbed a teammate in the neck at training camp. Like, I'm not trying to excuse Puka, but I'm like, really?
Craig Korolbeck
How do I not know that story?
Danny Heiferson
You don't know.
Craig Korolbeck
Okay, stab someone in the neck.
Danny Heiferson
You don't know this with what, a scissors? What the. So you know, how do I not know this story? So. Because it didn't come out. Because there was no.
Craig Korolbeck
Because there was no social media, because
Danny Heiferson
they weren't live streaming everything. Like, we all know too much about each other. Like, what? Michael. So the Cowboys had a barbershop near training camp. And this is from a book by, I think, Jeff Pearlman. And so Cowboys had a barbershop in your training camp. And rookie defensive lineman, like, the first round pick was in the barber chair. Michael Irvin comes in late and he's like, rookie get up. Seniority, which is a real. The realest thing right, in football. But the D linemen are all there. They're like, fuck that. He was late. You stay. So the rookie lineman, veteran D line is saying, sit down. Mike Lirvin's like, get the fuck up. D line is like, you got to roll with your guys. And he's bigger than him. So he's like, I'm not moving. Michael Irvin takes a scissors, stabs him in the fucking neck.
Danny Kelly
And Jerry Jones helped settle it and basically got. Gave the guy hundreds of thousands of dollars to.
Danny Heiferson
Yes. To shut up about it.
Danny Kelly
Stabbed him in the neck.
Danny Heiferson
I am not excusing anything Puka has done. I'm just like, all the. All these other guys from the past are just lucky there was no YouTube live streams.
Danny Kelly
Also, the guy who got stabbed is lucky. He barely missed his artery.
Craig Korolbeck
I know.
Danny Heiferson
Yes.
Craig Korolbeck
Christ.
Danny Heiferson
So, like, yeah, there's always. There's always one insane receiver in the NFL, and right now it's Puka.
Danny Kelly
But all right. So anyway, despite that, despite otherwise antics, I'm taking the Rams.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Well, Cowboys won this. The Cowboys win the super bowl that year. What year did he stop? What year did Mike Lervin scab the guy?
Danny Kelly
It was 98.
Danny Heiferson
Oh, no. They. They already. No, they didn't win 98.
Danny Kelly
98 was Denver.
Craig Korolbeck
I feel like there's a little bit of a teardrop here, A cliff, if you will.
Danny Kelly
I'm feeling really good about giants and rims. I'm going to win.
Danny Heiferson
Rams are a great pick because right Trent, they're trading picks to go for first. I also quiet thing on the Rams Miles Garrett tweaked his contract. Part of me thinks the Rams trade for Miles Garrett. I'm not saying that does happen. But if the Browns did tweak Miles Garrett's contract language, they pushed his money in the future. If they, if the Browns decide to trade Myles Garrett, which I don't know if that's going to happen, I think the Rams aren't letting anyone else do that. They're like, we're fucking doing it.
Danny Kelly
I also love that they want another receiver. I love that they're like, we might take Jordan Tyson to 13. We might trade for A.J. brown.
Craig Korolbeck
Like, why do you think that is? Because their superstar receivers do a dumb constantly won't stop fucking doing dumb.
Danny Kelly
I don't think that's why. It's because they want a third option and devontae is old and they're both hurt all the time.
Danny Heiferson
We need to put the Ocean's Eleven beam on Instagram and like, like Sean McVeigh is just distraught and then like
Danny Kelly
he's you want one more?
Danny Heiferson
You want one more?
Danny Kelly
We should get one more.
Danny Heiferson
We'll get one more.
Danny Kelly
We'll go
Danny Heiferson
like, that's just Leslie McVeigh. Be like, you want another receiver?

Danny Heiferson
Okay, so next up. So my teams, we have the Raiders, the Giants, the Vikings, and the Rams are off the board. DK and the Seahawks. And the Seahawks are off the board. Oh, no. Am I up now?
Danny Kelly
No, DK's up.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm up. Look, this is about the Delta. This is about the change. This is about the difference between what happened at the end of last year.
Danny Kelly
Don't caveat right now. Don't caveat.
Craig Korolbeck
The fucking New York Jets. It's the new. We got Sean Fantasy out here tweeting good things about the Jets.
Danny Kelly
I am. I am. I am gobsmacked by this.
Craig Korolbeck
Craig, when was the last time you saw Sean Fantasy say anything good about the Jets? Have you ever?
Danny Kelly
Have you ever. It might have been so.
Craig Korolbeck
Have you ever heard him say a nice thing about the Jets?
Danny Kelly
The jets are 31st on my board.
Danny Heiferson
I have them 30th.
Craig Korolbeck
It's no. Have you ever?
Danny Heiferson
It's a vibe.
Craig Korolbeck
You're basing it on fantasies.
Danny Kelly
Misunderstood.
Craig Korolbeck
You misunderstood the whole exercise here.
Danny Kelly
What are the vibes?
Craig Korolbeck
Difference.
Danny Kelly
What are the vibes?
Craig Korolbeck
Sean Fantasy is hopeful.
Danny Kelly
Okay?
Danny Heiferson
Sean, during Oscar season when he's very busy, was like, is it making Fitzpatrick good? And then we have no.
Craig Korolbeck
This could be fun.
Danny Kelly
Okay.
Danny Heiferson
The jets fired a third of their coaching staff, including their.
Danny Kelly
No, no, no. Let DK explain, please.
Danny Heiferson
I already did.
Danny Kelly
That's it.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm putting.
Danny Kelly
Tweet.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm putting my.
Danny Kelly
I'm putting.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm trying to put myself in jets fans shoes.
Danny Heiferson
Can you at least read Sean's tweet?
Craig Korolbeck
I don't have it in front of me. All I know is he's excited.
Danny Heiferson
He's excited.
Craig Korolbeck
Sean is my personal avatar for jets fans.
Danny Heiferson
So. The Jets.
Craig Korolbeck
First time I've ever seen him say anything good about the Jets.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Are you gonna explain what the jets did or am I doing? The jets tagged Reese Hall. They traded for Gino Smith, who they drafted 13 years ago, and they got a good.
Craig Korolbeck
They got a better quarterback than they did before.
Danny Heiferson
Okay?
Craig Korolbeck
They got. They signed everybody in free agency. People are like, hey, maybe we can actually be competitive now. I'm not saying I believe in the Jets. I'm saying the purpose of this exercise was to talk about the difference between how it was feeling at the end of the season, which I don't think. I don't think. And again saying, this is for jets fans. I don't think anyone. I don't think jets fans were any lower ever than they were at the end of this last season. I. We're going. We're doing the Delta.
Danny Heiferson
I.
Craig Korolbeck
You picked the Seahawks, won the Super Bowl.
Danny Heiferson
I don't know any jets fans that are actually that hopeful. Well, that's.
Craig Korolbeck
Okay. Well, I don't. Maybe Sean fantasy doesn't count. I guess we're just putting a lot
Danny Kelly
of stock into Sean's tweet.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, one tweet he said six weeks ago.
Danny Kelly
He's like, hell, Ricky, I'm not.
Danny Heiferson
Tweeted that we could be 29th.
Craig Korolbeck
You know what?
Danny Heiferson
30th.
Craig Korolbeck
This is the first time jets fans have felt anything in 10 years.
Danny Heiferson
I actually want to know who one of us is. Right. Jets fans. Email it@ringerfantasyfootballgmail.com because there's no shot that
Danny Kelly
jets fans are like, we are among the top seven teams with best offseason vibes.
Danny Heiferson
And DK is leaving out that they have. Well, DK is leaving all this out. It's offseason vibes. Delta dk, you're doing a terrible job pitching this. They have the second pick. They have the 16th pick. They have another second round. They have two first next year. Like, they have a lot of picks.
Danny Kelly
They have a good offensive line. You could talk yourself into Gino, you have Garrett Wilson, you have Bree Hall.
Danny Heiferson
I guess having said that, you said all this stuff.
Craig Korolbeck
You're right about the, you're, you're right about the draft picks. I mean, hell, they, they could get Arval Reese, one of the coolest players
Danny Kelly
in the draft, who's. Who's an off ball linebacker.
Danny Heiferson
I also. Can I tell you guys, actually, after
Craig Korolbeck
the pro day debacle, who knows? Can I tell you guys, maybe I'm wrong on this?
Danny Heiferson
As much as we're joking about the Ruben Bane prote thing or Valeries for having reasons nothing to do with that, I do think the jets might take Ruben Bane number two. I think it's more possible than people think because I'm not trying to do an Arlovski, but like, I do think people are underrating dk, who is the most prominent recent number two pick, defensive end who had short arm issues but was fucking incredible. And we were wrong to talk about the arms.
Danny Kelly
Hutchinson.
Danny Heiferson
Aiden Hutchinson, who coached Aiden Hutchinson for four years. Aaron Glenn.
Danny Kelly
Aaron Glenn.
Danny Heiferson
It's not crazy to think that Aaron Glenn is going to look at two players. One, Ruben Bane, who was actually insanely productive in college. And Aaron Glenn's like, well, we dealt with all this with Aiden Hutchinson, and I saw firsthand as his coordinator, how to deal with this. And then Arville Reese, who is a crazy athlete, but he played linebacker. Like, he didn't play pass rusher at Ohio State. He's a linebacker. And I'm not saying he can't be pass rusher, but it's not insane to think Aaron Glenn's like, I'll take this guy. Like, it's more possible, I think, than people think.
Craig Korolbeck
The more that I think about it, just the more I feel insane. But yeah, still I'm standing.
Danny Kelly
This is why I love, I love drafts like this in Premises. Yeah, this is.
Craig Korolbeck
Here's the deal.
Danny Heiferson
I.
Craig Korolbeck
The way that I was thinking about this, the bottom line is, for the first time in forever, jets fans kind of looked up and were like, wait a minute.
Danny Heiferson
Jet fan. The one Jet fan, you know. All right, find me a second one. We'll come back.
Craig Korolbeck
I mean, look, Roger Sherman, I, I've talked to him recently about the Jets. He just doesn't even think about them anymore. Maybe this caused him to think about the Jets.
Danny Kelly
See, I would argue, I mean, the year that they drafted Zach Wilson, I would say hope was probably through the roof. I would say that even last year when, when they brought in Aaron Glenn and Justin Fields, it was like, may, maybe.
Craig Korolbeck
No, I Know, but at the end of last year, I think maybe the lowest they've ever been.
Danny Kelly
I, I, it's higher now than it was in January for sure. I'll take that in the draft. I'll take that.
Danny Heiferson
Craig, the draft is good. They will draft good players.
Craig Korolbeck
Hold on.
Danny Kelly
Before we move on, I, I got
Craig Korolbeck
out over my skis.
Danny Kelly
I need to scroll down for a while to find the Jets. Hold on.
Danny Heiferson
So true. I, Dude, I have them 31st.
Craig Korolbeck
Look, you know what? I'll, I'll take the L on this. As long as Heifers admits his Seahawks one was stupid, which I should have waited around.
Danny Kelly
He's not.
Danny Heiferson
Are you happy? Actually. You Never.
Craig Korolbeck
I mean, it's good. I'll take it. But the. I can't. The Delta and vibes like we just won the Super Bowl.
Danny Heiferson
It's, it's cheating. I had, I had.
Craig Korolbeck
My dad was texting me during free agency, apoplectic about how much the Rams were doing and the Seahawks weren't doing it.
Danny Heiferson
That's fair then. Honestly, maybe I should have took the Rams over the Seahawks. That's fair.
Craig Korolbeck
Anyway, okay, so I'm continue.
Danny Kelly
Yes, you are.
Danny Heiferson
This is hard. This is a tough spot. Can I talk this out with you guys?
Craig Korolbeck
I don't want to talk to you anymore, pal. But. No, let's do it.
Danny Kelly
I'm going to lead you astray away from what I want.
Danny Heiferson
Okay. I am kind of wondering. I'm between two things. I am kind of wondering. I think I'm going to take.
Craig Korolbeck
You have no idea who you're.
Danny Heiferson
Chargers. Which is a little insane, but it's because of Mike McDaniel. And we're a little far from it now. So the Chargers didn't do stuff.
Craig Korolbeck
Craig wanted the Chargers, I wanted the Chargers.
Danny Kelly
If I compiled Rams, Giants, Chargers to start my draft, I would have just probably packed up, gone.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, well, we would ended it. The Chargers, the free agency stuff, they did all this responsible, mature stuff. Like they got Tyler Biotish, his center from Washington, for a quarter. Literally a quarter. The price the Raiders gave Tyler Linderbaum.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And he didn't even cost them a compensatory pick because he was cut, not a free agent. So they're like. They got Alec Ingold, who was the Fullback for Mike McDaniel in Miami.
Danny Kelly
They got the beefing up. They got Charlie Kohler and Cole Strange. Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And on top of it though, they have Mike McDaniel running the Chargers offense. Used to have Greg Roman, who now is on the Giants staff, which bothers me. But like Mike McDaniel with Justin Herbert and then you have the two tackles back. The Chargers, they'll get hurt, whatever, but the Chargers. The off season is the Chargers time, always has been. Mike McDaniel, Jim Harbaugh, they're going to have conversations. I like picturing them talking to each other. That's just funny to me. But I think Mike McDaniel and Herbert is like, honestly one of the. You could convince me Mike. Mike McDaniel is the most significant person, player or coach that was hired for this season all year.
Danny Kelly
I couldn't agree more. I was going to pick them next. If you didn't, they were sixth on my board. The prophecy might finally be fulfilled with Mike McDaniel and he might be the prince who was promised. It's been six seasons of what a coulda shoulda with Justin Herbert and offensive line fucked him. Coordinator fucked him. A combination of the two fucked him. This is, this is fine. Every year we do it, but there's more hope this year, I think than ever.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Okay, so Craig, who you take. And now that I took the Chargers.
Danny Kelly
Oh, hell, is it crazy that I think I'm just going to take Denver?
Danny Heiferson
No, no. They were hard for me to do.
Danny Kelly
I'm gonna take Denver. They didn't do a whole lot and obviously Bonix like broke his foot and they could have, they probably should have been in the super bowl. But. Yeah, you know what I mean? But so. I understand. So, but so coming off that vibes were low because it was like we, we were. We disappointed in what we did in the playoffs. Bo Nicks got hurt. Bo Nix and Sean Payton are fighting and they have like this weird cold war among the two of them. But I do think bringing in Jalen Waddle and not making a ton of moves in free agency just kind of proves they didn't lose a lot. It's just like we're good and, and we have a quarterback on a rookie contract and we're going to go out and bring in a difference maker star wide receiver that we think can actually get us to the next level. And I have to think if you're a Denver fan right now, you're like, we are as in the mix as you can be to win a Super Bowl.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, I think Broncos fans were actually pretty upset with their offset. Like if we did this draft a week ago, I would have had the Broncos net negative bottom half of the league because I think Broncos fans were actually upset that Sean Payton had basically decided, we're running it back. We should have done it Last year and we're going to just bring the same group back, not letting anyone go, which is kind of what you do when you win. But like Bron, the Broncos brought back Alex Singleton. I don't think Broncos fans like him as a linebacker. The Broncos, they didn't. I think the Broncos wanted Travis HN8 ETN, the running back from the Jaguars. But the Saints, Mickey Loomis, who used to work with Sean Payton in New Orleans and Denver, I think they got into a big dick contest and the Saints just like, fuck it, and they took Travis Etienne. So The Broncos brought J.K. dobbins back and fans are like, what the hell? J.K. dobbins could have retired four years ago. So they were upset. The Jalen Waddle tree to me is enough that the Broncos are good pick here because adding Jalen Waddle. I know we joke about the Broncos and Sean Payton's receivers, but Jalen Waddle with Cortland Sutton, and then you have Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, and then Matt Pat Bryant. That's the deepest receiver group in the NFL. Maybe, maybe they don't have a true number one like a Puka Dukua or A.J. brown, but that is the deepest group in the NFL in Denver.
Danny Kelly
It's now a well rounded skill position group and Waddle fills a lot of needs that allows other players to do what they do best.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, it's a good pick.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, they were up there on my list too. I think outside of not doing a whole lot, like trading for Waddle was super exciting.
Danny Heiferson
I mean, I think they still haven't signed.
Craig Korolbeck
Really exciting. Yeah.
Danny Kelly
All right, dk, your fourth. Your third pick.
Craig Korolbeck
God, this is tough. I'm going to go with. And I'm trying to. I'm hoping I didn't forget anything major here. I'm gonna go with the commanders.
Danny Kelly
Oh, interesting.
Craig Korolbeck
Because again, this is relative to, like how you feel at the end of the year. Obviously this was like a lost season for them. They finished five wins, five and 12. This was coming off a year where they, you know, felt like a team that could go to the Super Bowl. Injuries to Jalen, Jaden Daniels, they should say, and I don't know, to me it's like getting a healthy Jaden Daniels back, doing some of the things they did in free agency where they're kind of addressing some of the biggest holes. I mean, look at what they did in free agency. They got Odafe Owe, Leo Chanel, Chiga, Conquo Amik Robertson. None of these are huge names, but
Danny Kelly
I mean, Rashad White.
Craig Korolbeck
Rashad White. Nick Cross, Caleb on Chase on Charles
Danny Heiferson
Omenahu, running back, tight ended like eight defenders.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, yeah. They, they basically they, they signed enough people in free agency where they don't have like one glaring thing that they need to do in the draft. There's people that are connecting them to Jeremiah Love. I like they get Jeremiah Love. It's wheels up again for the commanders. I think so. I, I think there's some excitement with what's happening in Washington. I think we're in the point in this draft where no obvious teams stand out to me at least because you could kind of go both ways with it. But like coming off of a. A lost season maybe, maybe mostly due to injury. I think there's probably good vibes going into next season. Especially what they did in free agency.
Danny Kelly
I probably had them a little bit lower than I should have because you're right, I'm. I think just natural bounce back from last year to falling somewhere in between the first year for Jaden Daniels and last year for Jaden Daniels with all of the defensive people they brought in in the seventh overall pick in the draft. I do think that that is momentum.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Okay, so I'm up now.
Danny Kelly
Not top 10 for me but yeah,
Craig Korolbeck
there's three teams I high Fitz, what say you?
Danny Heiferson
I think it's fine. I had a couple teams. I think you're right about Washington. Overall they added in quantity, not quality but like quantity is nice. Definitely always quality but like they needed quantity. So Washington the oldest team in the NFL. They're not anymore. So the next pick here, there's two I would look at but I'm going to go a little off the beaten path. I'm going to take the Saints because the Saints. There is a special thing in the air when you just in the off season when you discover a franchise quarterback and when you enter an off season. Tyler Shuck.
Danny Kelly
Is that what they did? Is Tyler Shuck a franchise quarterback?
Danny Heiferson
I think Saints fancy though. He played really well. I would argue more like we want to see this year if he's a franchise quarterback. But Saints fans feel that Tyler Schuck is like pretty good. I will admit I made a ton of fun of him this time last year because he's 26 or whatever and if he didn't get an slightly younger Derek Carr. Yeah, he's too old to be on his parents health care. He played way but the Derek Carr things they made fun of him for, he was better than I thought which was pocket management against pressure, willingness to take Hits. Tyler Schuck was better. Is he some long term injury guarantee? No, he's up. But I think the Saints spending money in free agency to go and get David Edwards a guard and then signing Travis ETN and then announcing his HN to replace Alvin Camaro. Like the Saints offense is quietly very stacked. They need a receiver behind Chris Olave. Otherwise they have a first round left tackle, they have a first round right tackle, they have first round guard. They signed a big guard. They have Travis etn. Like they have a real offense. And I think there's a special thing when you start to be like, holy shit. This is an actual environment for Tyler Schuck. We can win the fucking NFC South.
Craig Korolbeck
I know they're. And they're in a. Not a very good division.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, no, they're in a bad division. And when you have an ascending quarterback in a bad division, like that is an exciting thing for a fan base. So I, maybe I could have gone in a couple other directions, but the Saints are quietly good. They're better vibes than it's been in New Orleans for a minute. And also maybe kind of sort of maybe getting out of this weird cap situation. They've been. They might get out of this Ponzi scheme.
Danny Kelly
I think the division piece is smart to use a Bill Simmons ism the division piece. It's a winnable division and good vibes around Shock. I understand they were in the top half of my, my, my list as well.
Danny Heiferson
It sounds weird, but I think it is key that they, the Saints could win the division and you wouldn't be shocked. You're like, oh yeah, Chuck's playing well. Like that's a huge. It's not, it's not a leap. All right, Craig caught you. I can tell he did.
Danny Kelly
Things are getting tricky. I'm between one team that barely made the playoffs and another team that's. That's terrible. I think I'm gonna go with the Titans.
Danny Heiferson
That was the other team I was between with the Saints.
Craig Korolbeck
I think I have them 30th.
Danny Heiferson
What
Craig Korolbeck
I'm projecting my own.
Danny Kelly
You have three seconds. Tell me who the Titans coach was last year. 3, 2.
Craig Korolbeck
Interim guy. Interim guy?
Danny Kelly
No, no, but who's the guy who got fired? Like, who was the coach?
Craig Korolbeck
Oh, Brian Callahan.
Danny Kelly
There you go. Like, I think bringing in Robert Salah and D ball with your two.
Craig Korolbeck
Two New York coaches. See what, see what we got to do. Going the two worst teams.
Danny Kelly
Salah was a good coach in the. Jetson is a fantastic defensive coordinator. And Brian Dabble can Call.
Craig Korolbeck
This has convinced you he was a good coach.
Danny Heiferson
Seven games with Zach Wilson for the entire season. Who else could have done that?
Craig Korolbeck
Seven games, wow.
Danny Heiferson
Went down on the fourth play of the game. Who the else?
Danny Kelly
You're betting on Aaron Glenn again in year two. What are you talking about?
Danny Heiferson
Like, really, right now, on seven games total?
Danny Kelly
I think Robert Sal is projecting my opinion.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm projecting my opinion of their offseason on their fans. Maybe that's probably fair, but I think they had a horrible off season.
Danny Kelly
I think, well, there's a little bit of, like, quantity versus quality going on. But, like, I mean, Wanda Robinson, 19 million. I'm not in love with that. But cam Ward, Year 2, Robert Saul and Dabal. There is like, a joking about the Giants being like, they're a professional football team now. There's a little bit of that with Tennessee where I'm like, they've brought in enough. It's like, they have real players. John Franklin Myers, they brought in Jermaine Johnson. They have won Dale Robinson. They have the fourth pick in the draft. They have Jeffrey Simmons. If they draft Ruben Bane, you now have Ruben Bane, Jeffrey Simmons, and John Franklin Myers. Or they could, I guess, take a Jeremiah Love or something like that. They need offensive help a little bit, but I think there is enough. You know, the idea of the year two leap with a quarterback that showed signs in his rookie year, Cam Ward, I think that is actually a lot to put together of, like, this team could win seven or eight games. And I don't. I wouldn't be surprised if Cambord takes a leap.
Danny Heiferson
If I'm being honest, I kind of wish I'd taken the Titans instead of the Saints because I actually believe in the Titans more. I dk. I get what you're saying. I think both things can be true. This is actually a good example of what this exercise is to me, which is vibes versus, like, we've all experienced how, like, a national. Like, the national coverage of the NFL says one thing about your team, but you kind of feel a different way. Like, I hated when. When everyone was like, eli Manning's bad. I'm like, shut up. That's. I love him. And, like, you know, we all feel that way about our teams at times. Titans fans are like, we spent a ton of money. We had all these better players. We have good coaches. This is good. And I think people like us, we look at it and we're like, well, you probably spent way too much money in free agency. A little cynical about why maybe you want to open a stadium 19 million to Wanda Robinson. You paid all these guys that you used to work with and like it's not going to work. I think the truth is in the middle when you spend that kind of free agency money, the teams do get better immediately for a year or two. It's not necessarily a long term strategy. But the Titans just bought a cornerback room like Alante Taylor, Cordell Flot, Joshua Williams for the Chiefs. That's a legit cornerback room. The jets guy that the Titans traded for. I think it makes sense. Daniel Bellinger and Wanda Robinson overpaid. It makes sense. But the point is, if you bootstrap Cam Ward to be Kirkland Brand, Matt Stafford, it doesn't fucking matter how much you paid for one D. Robinson. The point is every quarterback that Brian Dable's ever coached has gotten better. Like Jalen Hurts. And two at Alabama, that was maybe the best they've who has ever played was that Bam with Brian Dable like Daniel Jones had his best thing. Brian Dable won three games with fucking Tommy DeVito in four weeks.
Craig Korolbeck
He kept fire because he kept getting his quarterback hurt every year.
Danny Heiferson
Brian Dable got fired because he was an emotional head coach. Every issue I have, he knew what
Danny Kelly
it took to win the game.
Danny Heiferson
Exactly. He knew what he helped himself.
Danny Kelly
He's like, we have the best chance to win if Daniel Jones is a kamikaze. And you know what? That's what it's got to be.
Danny Heiferson
All of Brian Dable's issues were managing the organization emotionally. No one had any issues with the offense he was running. He obviously was very gifted offensive guy and he made Jackson Dart look great. The problem was he was too emotional to lead the team and he made a lot of emotional dumb decisions. And Robert Salah, I will argue, name me a defense Robert Salah touch. That got worse.
Craig Korolbeck
Okay. I don't know.
Danny Heiferson
I just think he's a good coach. I just think Robert solid gets. He was like. Well, he was the jets coach. He didn't fire. They didn't give up a touchdown on defense. Yeah.
Danny Kelly
Dk, we forget who was the offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills for the first four years of Josh Allen's career.
Craig Korolbeck
Day ball bang for the first four years.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Was helping.
Craig Korolbeck
And again, I understand what you're saying. I understand this argument. I. I do have some problems ascribing credit when you're talking about Josh Allen who's like one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL.
Danny Heiferson
I agree.
Craig Korolbeck
You know what I mean? Like, who gets credit for quarterback. I think is like One of the most complicated questions.
Danny Kelly
Do you give credit to Phil Jackson for coaching Michael Jordan, right, Or no, the Z Master?
Craig Korolbeck
Well, I give credit for. For keeping that there.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, fair. But what's the pattern? What's the trajectory of Jalen Hurts and two under Dable? Really high. The trajectory of Josh Allen under Dable is about as straight up as it goes. Daniel Jones, with Dable, had the best season of his career by far. And until last year, everyone thought Daniel Jones sucked. And it was like, the. By far the best he's done Tommy DeVito. But he won three out of four games. Like, you know what I mean? Like, you go through and through. And I'm like, well, every quarterback Dable's worked with has played some of the best football of their career.
Danny Kelly
I know.
Craig Korolbeck
I understand. I understand all those arguments. I'm still very dubious about this whole thing. I. I think when I looked at the Titans, what they had the opportunity to do this off season, what they did to me was some underwhelming shit. That's all. Maybe that. Maybe I'll. They'll prove me wrong and they'll be awesome.
Danny Kelly
But do you feel worse about them now than you did two months ago? No way.
Craig Korolbeck
I don't feel much better. I think that my point of view is the potential for what they could have done after kind of like cleaning house or whatever. And then what they did, I was like, okay, so now, to me, they're like, about the same.
Danny Heiferson
I don't know if it's an interesting question. This is like a whole episode, but it's like, kind of like, how are you supposed to build a team? I actually think it's okay to do these kind of, like, free agency. We're going to overpay to competency if it's the build around Cam Ward. Because you want Cam Ward to improve and you need the people around him to be good enough to improve, you're paying for competency. I actually think what people wanted the Dolphins to do, which is like, you got to invest. So Malik Willis, it's like, no, Malik Willis is an experiment. You got to rebuild from the ground up because they don't have a franchise guy. I think it's okay to pay in free agency, to, like, get Cam Ward developed and then he's the guy, and then you move the resources away. I think that's fine. Like, I. But I agree with you.
Craig Korolbeck
I hope they prove.
Danny Heiferson
I see what you're saying.
Craig Korolbeck
They prove me wrong. I hope they.
Danny Heiferson
I don't.
Craig Korolbeck
I want. I want. I like Camward and I don't know
Danny Kelly
if it doesn't sound like you do.
Danny Heiferson
Okay.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm worried about his health now, though, because.
Danny Kelly
Oh, relax. Geez.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm worried about you, man.
Danny Kelly
You're up.
Danny Heiferson
That's fair.
Danny Kelly
You're right. Yeah. Jesus Christ.
Craig Korolbeck
I hate. I even. I don't even want to pick at this point.
Danny Kelly
Flip your board mirror, flip it upside down and make it.
Danny Heiferson
What's the kid.
Craig Korolbeck
My God. To me, this is a big morass of just, like, a whole bunch of stuff. I am going to
Danny Heiferson
morass.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Kelly
There's just more ass here.
Danny Heiferson
It's more ass here. The middle.
Craig Korolbeck
Here's. Here's what I'm gonna do for sure. And this is maybe. And Pete and the fans of this team can tell me if I'm way off on this, but I'm gonna pick the Baltimore Ravens.
Danny Heiferson
Oh, I was. If you didn't take them, I was gonna take them.
Craig Korolbeck
Here's the deal. Because I know that the Max Crosby debacle doesn't, like, reflect well, but, like, Craig's reaction to the whole thing actually made me kind of realize that this. The Ravens. I think in Ravens fans in particular, like, we did. We did, like, the right thing for the franchise here. We. We didn't end up trading two for two first rounds. Genius for a guy with a knee. We ended up, you know, dealing behind everyone else's back with Hendrickson and. And doing that whole thing. It looks pretty shady to me, but, like, who cares? It's good for the franchise, so we didn't break the law. So there we go. And also, I think Jesse Minter brings a lot of excitement after basically spending, you know, a decade plus with John Harbor. How long was Harbour there for? Like, a really long.
Danny Heiferson
18 years.
Craig Korolbeck
18 years, almost.
Danny Heiferson
I mean, Jesse Minters only the third coach the Ravens have ever had.
Craig Korolbeck
So, like, a infusion of new ideas and infusion of youth in the coaching ranks. You know, they didn't do a lot in terms of what they added, and they lost a lot of players. But I think just overall, the vibes are still good, especially because everyone's going after the Ravens, and I think fans are like, fuck you guys.
Danny Heiferson
I agree there's a defiance among the Ravens fans because the. The Raiders feel like gathering around the victimization. Everyone's like, we were wrong, but the Ravens fans are like, fuck, yes, fuck you. But Even though Ryan McFadden had a great report at ESPN this week about how the Max Crosby trade fell apart, and he just has this good quote about it about basically did The Ravens know or not. And there's a source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN that, quote, the Ravens had access to imaging and the doctor's reports on Crosby's name, end quote. Which is like the idea of one where, like, it's allowed, but bush league because it's. Why did they trade to first when you had all the information? Like, they can go anywhere. But they knew. They probably. They probably do.
Danny Kelly
They let it happen.
Danny Heiferson
But I actually would have taken the Ravens here, too, because I. I think Ravens fans were done with John Harbaugh and Jesse Minter has the potential to be a home run.
Craig Korolbeck
That. That was kind of the. Yeah. The foundation. I think people. Ravens fans that I've talked to about it and that's like a couple. But it's. They were just kind of like, sick of this. Sick of the status quo.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, it's a good pick. All right. I was going to take them, so I think that's the right pick. All right. This is where I'm kind of upset. This is actually where I think there's a big teardrop. Wow.
Craig Korolbeck
I can't believe how far apart we are in some of these.
Danny Kelly
It's funny. It's great.
Danny Heiferson
Beauties in the eye of the beholder. This is. God, there are some flawed teams here. Okay, I'm gonna go with the Falcons, which is bizarre. Oh, on one hand, I got the Falcons. The single worst thing that's happened whole off season is The James Pierce Jr. Arrest and the situation around that, it's like the single worst vibes that any individual team's had all year, which is weighing them down. But if that hadn't happened, I'd actually have the Falcons kind of high because they have two of for a million dollars. And then I think Kevin Stefanski is one of the better head coach hirings of the cycle. A lot of Browns fans and Browns players don't like Stefanski. I'm like, I don't know, maybe it's the Browns, but Stefanski is head coach. Tommy Reese is the offensive coordinator. They got Bill Callahan as the offensive line coach. That's great. They kept. They kept Jeff Ulbricht as the defensive coordinator. That, like, everything with the Falcons is good. Matt Ryan is the vice president of the team running football operations. Like, that's great. Like, I think everything about it's great. And I would have had him high.
Craig Korolbeck
The vibes are good.
Danny Heiferson
And then the vibes are good. The team are good. And then will James, your best defender, might go to jail. I don't know that's the guy that
Craig Korolbeck
you traded a first rounder. They haven't.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Like, you know, the first.
Danny Kelly
Because no. First. You don't know if your quarterback's good. And your last first round pick might go to jail. Yes.
Danny Heiferson
You know, for pretty. You know, he was basically.
Craig Korolbeck
And then you. And then you signed Tua.
Danny Heiferson
And then you signed Tua. Yeah. Well, it's flawed. I'm going to take the Patriots or the Not. What am I doing here? The nine.
Danny Kelly
It's hard because the Falcons have cool players and you're like, yes. And Stefanski is a good coach and they have cool players. So you're like, oh, if you just kind of don't think about it, you're like, I'm excited. But you kind of look under the hood.
Danny Heiferson
You're like, all four NFC south teams. You're like, you know, we. We could win the division. You know, like, I don't know. It's other teams. I think hiring Stefanski is a better move for Vibes than a lot of the other teams have made in this group. But then Pierce weighs it down, so I don't really know.
Craig Korolbeck
I think he's waffling on his pick already.
Danny Kelly
Are you done? I was going to stay in the same division with my pick.
Danny Heiferson
Do it.
Danny Kelly
I'm going to take the Panthers.
Craig Korolbeck
Can I admit something? I accidentally left the Panthers off my list originally, so that's how I feel about that.
Danny Kelly
Just completely.
Craig Korolbeck
I don't even think about you.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Can I admit something? When I first started here at the Ringer, which was like a decade ago, I had individual listed notes on every team, team. And I found out after two years that I had never made one for the Titans and that they didn't come up right about them. I didn't pitch anything on them and no one had asked me. And like, I just. It never even. I. Literally no one asked me about the Tennessee Titans in any context for two years.
Danny Kelly
That's great.
Danny Heiferson
Extensive notes on 31 teams. And I was like, oh, my God,
Danny Kelly
I'm taking the Panthers. I'm taking the Panthers. Just because last year was such a pleasant surprise, I think, for them. Winning the division and then almost beating the Rams in the playoffs, beating them in the regular season. And I think you could make the case they overspent on a couple guys and free agency like Jalen Phillips, who has a ton of injury concerns, and they brought in Devin Lloyd. Rasheed Walker at a tackle is like, I think a good move. But. But I kind of just think like the Falcons roster now, like, they were doing things two, three years ago that we were like, well, okay, you know, you got to start somewhere. You're bringing it. You're, like, taking first round offensive linemen and you're doing your best to build in the trenches. They're like, a couple years into that now, and I think we're starting to see a couple pieces pop. And Bryce Young seems to be the guy you want to make a bet on. Tet. McMillan was a hit, and I'm kind of like, all right, I think this is a real team now, and I think, like, maybe we could win the division again and win 11 games this year instead of eight. And so I'm kind of just like, they're putting professionals together. They're taking bets. But, like, you only take bets when you have, when you think you have a shot.
Danny Heiferson
The Panthers are a good pick. Bryce Young being better is good. I think Jalen Phillips, it's the perfect example, what we're talking about, where Jalen Phillips is a good contract if he plays and is healthy, and he's a terrible contract if he gets hurt. And in the off season, you're like, well, he'll be healthy. And the Devin Lloyd thing, the Panthers are the worst linebackers in the NFL last year, and it's the same thing as Kyler Murray with JJ McCarthy to Kyler Murray at quarterback. The Panthers going from the worst linebackers to even above average with Devin Lloyd is. That's a huge upgrade for defense. So I, I, I agree with this. I don't, I don't hate this. I think the, I think it makes sense.
Danny Kelly
I like. It's just the Panther. We are now in the world where the Panthers are like a relevant, good football team, which it's been a while.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, you're probably right. It's probably. Panthers pump, but than Falcons.
Danny Kelly
Falcons have cooler players, though.
Danny Heiferson
Stefanski, though, it's, it's the.
Danny Kelly
You know what it is. But I like Canalis.
Danny Heiferson
But, yeah, Stefanski and Bijan, and you're a Falcons fan and you're like, oh, my God, what's he gonna do?
Danny Kelly
Yeah. Drake London. Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Brian Robinson. Okay. Dk, you're up. I don't envy you. This is a hard part.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, I'm, I'm, like, looking at my list and I don't know who to pick.
Danny Heiferson
Can talk it out if you want.
Craig Korolbeck
I think I'm going to. Tentatively pick The San Francisco 49ers.
Danny Kelly
Yeah. Okay.
Craig Korolbeck
Because I think Mike Evans is doing some heavy lifting here. But that's a sexy pick. It's A sexy signing and it really makes like cause for a lot of excitement what they can do with their offense. And then it doesn't feel like there's been a whole lot other happening with the 49ers, to be honest. Like there's this quasi holdout situation happening with Trent Williams, but they paid him as his. His bonus. It sounds like he's probably going to be back. They'll figure that out, you know. But they're basically reloading. They signed, they traded for OSA Dugizua, they signed Christian Kirk. Like these are veteran additions that are going to help them win right away. They're still a very good team if they can just stay healthy.
Danny Heiferson
Which I think is who is the defensive tackle from the Cowboys who's pretty good. They actually just extended him and now he's on the Niners, which is the Niners needed. Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
And so and I think the only like question mark is what's going on with Juwan Jennings? Is he going to be back? Is he going to hit free agency, whatever. But I don't know. They just feel like another team that's just ready to reload and be good again in 2026. And so I feel like the vibes especially after disappointing into the season are probably really high right now for 49ers fans.
Danny Kelly
Kittle Tours Achilles. That's a thing.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah. That hurts.
Danny Kelly
I. I agree with you that I think Mike Evans is. Is carrying a lot of weight here.
Danny Heiferson
But. But it's okay because I think this is like an up the middle of the fair. I mean it's what is the 16th pick or 15th pick? It's exactly halfway middle of the fairway is well offseason vibes like our team signed Mike Evans. It's pretty cool for like a good contract.
Craig Korolbeck
They didn't even have to give him all that much. They got like awesome player who goes over a thousand yards almost every year.
Danny Heiferson
It's. It's Mike Evans with Shanahan is really cool. I think Cody Alexander at match quarter substack was talking about. I think the X is back. I think a lot of teams, I think it's a copying what the Rams did with Devonte Adams where you like Pukinukua beating zone. You do want these outside receivers to be able to beat man. Like you do like it's kind of a cheat code and like we kind of like a world where Jackson Smith and jig was not a traditional outside boundary receiver and he's like offensive player of the year. Teams haven't needed those six foot Five monsters. And I think the Niners are like but it is nice to have if they're sick and yeah it's just cool to have Mike Evans. That is. That is.
Craig Korolbeck
It's going to look great in a 49er uniform. I don't know. I like those that matters.
Danny Kelly
You're right, it does.
Craig Korolbeck
I think also by the way like Seahawks. Seahawks winning the super bowl at their home stadium. That's not great vibes. And so the compared to that now
Danny Kelly
like they forgot about it. It's been two months now they're told us.
Craig Korolbeck
No, I'm saying the relative from that moment to now.
Danny Kelly
Sure.
Craig Korolbeck
Pretty big difference.
Danny Kelly
All right. If it's Europe, I think this is this the 16th pick. This is the the middle of the road vibes team in the NFL.
Danny Heiferson
Like exactly the exactly the middle of the seesaw. I. Oh there's two. Can I talk this out with you? Because it's almost like if we can correctly calibrate this entire exercise.
Craig Korolbeck
Are we helping you pick your thing then or what?
Danny Heiferson
Well in between two teams they're both kind of wild.
Craig Korolbeck
Okay.
Danny Heiferson
My head is saying one the. My head is saying the Eagles because AJ Brown still being there. They're in limbo and I didn't know how to give them a grade.
Danny Kelly
Okay.
Danny Heiferson
But I'm not going to pick them. I'm picking the Kansas City Chiefs.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh yeah. I'm fine with that.
Danny Heiferson
You got the video of my homes. He's throwing again which I don't know why that always but people proof of life when guys he's out there.
Danny Kelly
I think this is a great pick. I have them seven. I have them right smacking them.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
I was gonna say I have the homes.
Danny Heiferson
You signed Ken Walker.
Danny Kelly
Justin Fields is like a fun idea.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Justin Fields with the touch pusher. Like let me get it straight. We can do quarterback sneaks again because we took five years off from that six. And then you have you signed Ken Walker the Super Bowl MVP and which is incredible. And then you're like just it's. You lost a lot of guys in the secondary but you trade Trent McDuffie, you got a first round pick for Trent McDuff. Like that's phenomenal. And so I the Ken Walker thing. Solak. Our beloved Ben Solak who's now at espn. I had a stat this week in an article that blew my socks off which was the so explosive run rate which is how often do you have a run for double digit yardage. The 2025 Chiefs had the lowest explosive run rate on running back carries of any offense in 25 years. And then now that you signed Ken
Craig Korolbeck
Walker, which is the.
Danny Heiferson
It's so funny because it's what you want in an advanced stat which matches the eye test which is the Chiefs running game is no juice because they've Kareem Hunt and fucking Isaiah Pacheco off a broken leg. It's seventh round pick off a broken leg and Cream Hunt who would be out of the league if not for Kansas City. And now you have Ken Walker who dk. What does all Ken Walker do too?
Craig Korolbeck
Explosives, baby.
Danny Heiferson
Explosive plays.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And I think the vibes combined with Mahomes coming back, I think the vibes for the Chiefs, it's pretty good actually.
Danny Kelly
They have picked.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Kelly
And the 20.
Danny Heiferson
I didn't mention that. They have a nice kick in the draft.
Danny Kelly
They have 9, 9 and 29. I mean they could go take an awesome offensive lineman to help them run the ball and then go get like denzel Boston at 29 and give them like a big wide receiver. That's different than anything they have. Also like I. I know he's way past his prime. Travis Kelce returning from a Vibes perspective as a fan favorite, I do think makes a big difference.
Craig Korolbeck
Also still going to be in like.
Danny Heiferson
Yes. Taylor's still there.
Danny Kelly
It makes you feel like you're still in this era of Chiefs dominance if it's still Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
Danny Heiferson
Also this is the highest pick the Chiefs have had in 13 years since Andy Reid's first year in 2013. Like even Mahomes was the 10th pick. Like the Chiefs picking nine. This is the highest pick they've had in a decade. More.
Craig Korolbeck
I also wrote down they dropped Matt Nagy like a bad habit.
Danny Kelly
Sure.
Danny Heiferson
Which fans are like the enemies back? This is my quibble with the. The Craig thing about the Giants being so high.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Ravens fans were kind of done with John Harbaugh. They have Matt Nagy who Chiefs fans are happy to see him gone. Titans fans are happy Brian Callahan's gone and Chargers fans and Ravens fans are happy Greg Roman's gone. Those are the guys on their staff on one hand. A lot of experience on the Giant staff like crazy. Over Brian calling's an overqualified quarterbacks coach. You know what I mean? Matt, you know the offense, everyone's overqualified. But a lot of coaches on offense that fans were happy to let go. That's all. Craig, you were up.
Danny Kelly
I'm taking the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh, yo.
Danny Kelly
No, you're wrong.
Craig Korolbeck
I wanted to. I wanted to Snipe Craig on it.
Danny Kelly
So I'm getting him. I'm getting him 17th, which I think is. Is totally appropriate and maybe even underrated. Here's what I said.
Craig Korolbeck
They're gonna win nine games. They're gonna get their asses kicked in the first round of the playoff.
Danny Kelly
The Mike Tomlin vibes for the last five years have been bad, and the joke is that they will drag their way to nine wins. I think with Mike McCarthy, could it be a fucking disaster and they win four games? Yes. And that is something that I didn't think was possible with Tomlin because of his consistency in his track record. But do I think there's a chance that the offense is the best it's been since like 2017? 18. Ben Roethlisberger. I do. And they were awesome in free agency. They did a great job. I think the Michael Pittman deal is good. They brought in Rico Dowdle, who's a great rb. Two Jamel Dean and Jaquan Brisker, very good signings. Sebastian. Joseph Day is a defensive tackle. Like, I think the Steelers roster is pretty good. And I sure, I think Aaron Rodgers is going to be the quarterback and he's 42 years old and the whole thing, but Mike McCarthy trying to actually make this offense different, even if it's not better. I think it being different and, and the team being offensively focused for the first time is exciting and, and feels different. And there is something about, like, change being exciting in a. In a hope perspective. They're 17th, I'm 17th.
Danny Heiferson
I. It's so funny because in a way, this entire exercise is. I can't really argue with you. It's kind of to quantify how you're feeling and the cope that happens with fans in the offseason.
Danny Kelly
But also I have them 17th. Is this that crazy?
Danny Heiferson
Do you remember the text you sent when they hired Mike McCarthy? You said, I'll root for the Chargers. Rumor came out that they had hired Mike McCarthy. You said, I'll root for the charges if they hire Mike McCarthy.
Danny Kelly
I have them 17th, not fourth.
Danny Heiferson
That's average. That's not. Rooting for another team is as bad as it gets.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm going to defend Craig a little bit on this one because I think when you. If you look at what happened when they hired McCarthy, if you just looked at that, you'd be like, this sucks. This is stupid. What are we doing here? I'm gonna root for the Chargers. But I actually really like all the moves they've made this off season.
Danny Heiferson
The moves are good.
Craig Korolbeck
So I think like the free agency and trades that they've done, I'm like, I can see the vision. I think they're getting better. I think they're going to have a better offense than they did last year.
Danny Kelly
I, I wanted them to bring in a young exciting coach like Jesse Minter to start fresh and they're not doing that. They're like actually we're going to try to win right now and like, like from a day to day play calling perspective. Mike McCarthy's not a disaster but to me it feels like we're trying to just hold on to something that's died. However, if I'm looking at just this year alone based on what they did in free agency, I'm like it's not terrible.
Danny Heiferson
Well it's, it doesn't have to be just this year. I think that's, it's funny because I ranked. I'm not disagreeing with you because I think the point is to capture you
Danny Kelly
are you had them 29th.
Danny Heiferson
Because I was trying to guess how I thought you'd feel and what I thought you were going to say was that they got rid of Mike Tomlinson because it's always the same but that Mike McCarthy's 10 years older than Mike Tomlin and is the same kind of coach with the same kind of ideas. The offensive version where he's good, good in purgatory. Good enough that you'll never be bad. Bad enough that you'll never be great. Not really going to be a serious contender. But frankly the roster is way worse than anything Mike McCarthy to work with in Dallas. And so the question is can it work now? If they'd added a quarterback it'd be good vibes. You still don't have a real quarterback plan for someone under 42 years old.
Danny Kelly
Just assuming Aaron Rodgers is the quarter quarterback.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah but he's 43. You still don't have a plan and so I thought you were going to be like it's going to be Rogers and Mason Rudolph and Will Howard again. But I want if it's that but sometimes you just want something different also
Danny Kelly
I want to factor in that their defensive coordinator Patrick Graham might actually you take advantage of the great talent on the Steelers defense. Way better than Mike Tomlin.
Danny Heiferson
Okay. All right. So I, I will. Okay. So Steelers should something better. I agree that Tomlin had probably won at his welcome more than I think
Danny Kelly
think most people understand as like as like my football. Like, like family member like my football father. I love Mike Tomlin deeply but I was things were Growing stale.
Danny Heiferson
Okay. You surprised me, but I'll accept TK what do you think?
Craig Korolbeck
I mean, I had them right there. Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
We give you next pick.
Craig Korolbeck
Okay. God, where are we now?
Danny Kelly
I'm glad I got the Steelers.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
We're at a point now where there's a lot of teams that either didn't do anything or we.
Danny Kelly
We could start moving through these a lot.
Danny Heiferson
I was gonna say we're tilting toward teams who did nothing.
Craig Korolbeck
This is just like. I'm gonna tick one off here. I'm gonna say the Cincinnati Bengals, they signed some defensive players that are exciting, and so maybe their defense won't be horrific anymore. Like, that's kind of.
Danny Kelly
They got boy mafe, Jonathan Allen, Brian.
Danny Heiferson
I think it's neutral if you're a Bengals fan. I had them as net negative off season because I was like, you know what? There are some moves you're happy about. You're mad they didn't get a veteran linebacker because the Bengals started two rookie linebackers last year, and it was a disaster, and they added no veterans. But I was like, if you're a Bengals fan and you're watching these videos on Instagram of this flag football game and, like, Joe Burrow is somehow taking hits, looks actually getting collided with in a flag football game that was supposed to be played in Saudi Arabia, and you're like, motherfucker, like, can you just stay healthy? And I think you got to be angry. Daddy, chill.
Danny Kelly
It's an even year, and the Bengals are good. An even year. So I think you have to be excited about that.
Danny Heiferson
Fair enough. Okay. Oh, I'm up. Wow, that sucks. I will take the. That sucks. It does suck.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Let's move through these until we get to the teams there at the bottom.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, we can start scooting a little bit.
Danny Heiferson
I'll take the Bears because I think that it was sucked that Drew Dalman retired their center, but they did trade for Garrett Bradbury, who I think is a downgrade. But they got a second round pick for DG Moore. And I don't think even the Bears thought. And it's, as Craig said, it's a 60th pick. It's second round picks. A little deceptive, but they did get the 60th pick for DJ Amore. And then the afterglow of Caleb, like, the. The excitement and everything like that does linger to the off season. But, yeah, getting it. Getting extra second for DJ Moore is, like, a good thing. And teams after this, a lot of them had bad off seasons.
Danny Kelly
They lost a lot. But you can just kind of like just being excited about year two of Ben Johnson, I think is enough.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Year three, Caleb. Yeah.
Danny Kelly
I'm gonna take the Cowboys.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Kelly
Who. I think you could talk yourself into them potentially just quietly being the best team in the NFC East. I think you could. You could see a world in which they just win the NFC east this year. They're like quietly piecing together their defense. They brought. They tagged Pickens and it's like the offense is going to be good. Maybe the defensive line is going to be good. And you can kind of talk yourself two first rounders.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
12 and 22 good first rounders. I think the Cowboys, The Cowboys offense is crazy underrated. Like, I don't think people realize that the trend trajectory the offensive linemen are on. Dk, like, you got Cooper BB at center, you got Tyler Guyton at left tackle. I mean, all. They're all named Tyler. Every goddamn lineman on the teams named Tyler. And they're all under 25. And they all. If they all get better, like, actually could be like very quickly an elite unit with Pickens and CD and Dak and if they make a couple good defensive picks. I agree. Craig. I think all the fans are like, make good picks. Then I'll talk myself into it. They need a linebacker desperately. They have three linebackers on the entire roster. Yeah. But after the draft, the Cowboys will be very high.
Danny Kelly
Yep.
Craig Korolbeck
All right, I'm gonna go with the. And I agree with that. I'm gonna go with the Jags, who have done, like, absolutely nothing.
Danny Kelly
No news is good news.
Craig Korolbeck
They're just taking the off season off. You know, they're resting up, recuperating, getting healthy. This is a 13 win team from last year and they're not really gonna. They're not planning on changing a whole lot. They gotta. They got Chris Rodriguez in free agency, and I think that's like maybe the only notable move they made. And he is just kind of a early down hammer type type of running back. Yeah. And they've, they've, they've said no to all trade requests for Michael, for what's his name, Brian Thompson Jr. And they're going to keep, you know, they're going to support him and put their faith behind him. And they literally are just like the most neutral team this off season.
Danny Kelly
I think it's, it's just like we said with Ben Johnson where it's like, all right, year two now of Liam Cohen. Let's see, like, how much better Trevor Lawrence.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, yeah. Jags. They lost Travis Hn The ATN now they lost Devin Lloyd and frankly Travis Hunter being like a cornerback now probably hurts the spirit. But I agree DK that like the Jags are they could win the Super Bowl. Speaking of which, I'm going to pick a team in the division with the same thing. I'm going to take the Houston Texans.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Who I think got better. C.J. stroud is like the afterglow of that is pretty tough and you still bad taste in your mouth with CJ Stroud. But otherwise I think Reed Blankenship is safe to replacing CJ Gordon Johnson's a really good move. David Montgomery, running back, kind of too many picks but Texans are going for it, which I like. They jumbled the offensive line kind of like Craig with Mike McCarthy and Mike Tomlin. It's like I don't know if the Texans line's better, but it's different and different you can talk yourself into in the off season. So I think that the O line is the only thing left for Houston. Everything else is taken care of and it's very easy to commit yourself in a line. It'll be good. So the Texans could be a Super bowl team.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, I think that's about right. I'm gonna go with the Patriots.
Craig Korolbeck
I know I've got all these teams
Danny Heiferson
right in the same had no idea
Danny Kelly
what it there the Patriots. I think people were a little bit disappointed that the receiver they brought in was Romeo Dubs who I like and I think is underrated. They brought in Elijah Vera Tucker who has a lot of injury history but is like a all pro level talent at guard and if he's healthy that will significantly improve the offensive line. And I, I, I, you know, I kind of think this is just like a We made the super bowl once. Once again let's see what year two looks like in this system now.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, yeah.
Danny Kelly
And we trust this team.
Danny Heiferson
It's I, I really think the best insight I had into the entire year last year was that the super bowl was not a must win game for the Patriots. Like I can't think of a Super bowl loss that seems to have impacted the coach, the players and the fan base less. No, not saying that players don't care, but it's, let's be honest, like it didn't scar anybody in this fan base at all. And they're like, yeah, they probably did deserve it. It's fine. Like just reeling from the ass kicking. Dk, you're up.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh man. I'm gonna go with the this one's kind of tough. I Think I'll choose, I'll choose the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even though they lost Mike Evans, which is kind of a big hit, they're basically just, you know, relying on their young core of guys that are come up after that. And people I think can be excited about a mecca. Buka jalen McMillan is still good. You know, Chris Godwin still in her contract. So they're still okay on the, in the offensive skill player position group or whatever. And they have have Kenny Gainwell, they signed him in free agency. They retained Sean Tucker. So assuming Bucky Irving gets healthy, like the running backs group is fine. To me, it's just this was kind of a, a push of an off season. They did fire their offensive coordinator and hired Zach Robinson. I don't know if that's like a great thing, but, you know, I, to me, they're just kind of a neutral off season and they're working on, you know, Baker Mayfield's contract and all that stuff.
Danny Heiferson
I, I had the Bucks much lower. I think, like, you zoom out. I think fans hate Todd Bowles. Fans are done with him. They lost the best offensive player in the history of the team, Mike Evans, who should have been a one jersey guy, and you let him go. And that, that was, I think, a bad decision. But I think Mike Evans and Todd Bowles were at odds. And then Levante David's the best defender the bucks had in 20 years and he retired. And even if he probably was older, like that sucks. And I think net net Bucks ends are kind of upset because they really had like a stranglehold on the NFC south. And now they're like, honestly, they could come last. That be wouldn't to be shocked.
Craig Korolbeck
So maybe now we're dipping into the bad vibes.
Danny Kelly
I think this is the 24th pick. So it's like we're kind of, it is, it's dipping negative now. Maybe we need to spin it as to not why we think they have hope, but why they don't.
Danny Heiferson
Then I, I, I think the last ones you can spin. I'll take the Eagles now because I think the Eagles didn't do as much. It's like a little negative, but I think the Eagles, it's, they always negative. I think they're either keeping A.J. brown and that's I, I don't hate the idea they keep AJ Brown. Like everyone's like, oh, he has to go. I'm like, maybe. But also I think the Eagles can get a first round pick for AJ Brown either during the draft, maybe a week after the draft or right before the season. The Eagles structure his contract in a way to get a first round pick from A.J. brown. And I think they will. It's weird because he's in limbo. It's like, if the. How would you have graded the Bears before? You're like, well, they'll probably trade DG Moore. We don't know what they'll get. I otherwise, like, they got Dallas Goddard back, which was a nice surprise. They lost Jalen Phillips, which is a bad surprise. Hollywood Brown, it's funny because they have such a type. Everyone they sign is like, Hollywood Brown used to be a first round book. Elijah Moore, who should have been a first round pick. Like, pick Arnold Debaket, He's a pass rusher who's like almost a first round pick. Like, they're just taking swings on talented guys who've kind of washed out. But Tariq Woolen is just side speeds head case. So I think you could talk yourself into like, how he has all these moves to come.
Danny Kelly
Their quarterback got sacked by Logan Paul.
Danny Heiferson
It's like, dude, I brought that to my Eagles fan friend. And they were so mad. And I was like, you're gonna pretend like this doesn't bother you? I was like, imagine if Daniel Jones and the Giants had been sacked by Logan. Logan Paul in a flag football game.
Danny Kelly
I had the Eagles 28th. I'm like, yeah, you lost Jeff Stoutland and agent and, and their quarterback.
Craig Korolbeck
I literally, I was like, my notes on the Eagles. I had them 30th and I have. Or, sorry, no, 29th and I have Jets. Jeff Stoutland left because Nick Sirianni is so annoying. Jalen Hurts is out here throwing picks in flag football.
Danny Heiferson
I knew I was forgetting something. Jeff Stoutland saying, I, I didn't want the title of run game coordinator because I was like embarrassed to, to have my name on the run game. It's. It's pretty bad vibes.
Craig Korolbeck
But I will say in your defense, if we're talking about the Delta vibes are always horrific in any of these
Danny Heiferson
teams left could win the Super Bowl.
Craig Korolbeck
They're always fucking pissed about something.
Danny Kelly
Well, there's a couple teams left that could win the Super Bowl. We haven't talked about Buffalo yet. I'm going to take the Lions next, you know. Yeah, they're, they're doing their best to rebuild. They, they got Cade Mays, the center on a decent deal. They're trying to rebuild the offensive line. They have Isaiah Pacheco to replace David Montgomery. I don't know. I don't have A ton there. It still seems like the window might have been closed for Detroit, but I think the idea is, like, there's still a lot of good core pieces there and a lot of high level talent on this team. And you could get hot one year. And this is the year after the year after this team was super hurt.
Danny Heiferson
So the last 10, eight teams we took, I think are all in the bucket of. You can talk yourself into it or make two more moves and I'll talk myself into it. Like the Lions. Talk yourself into the Eagles, Bucks, Patriots, Texans, Jags, Cowboys, Bears, Bengals, Steelers. Like, I can talk myself into this. We're running out of those, though. Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah. I'll go with the Packers, I guess here. Lost a lot of dudes in free agency.
Danny Heiferson
The most of any team.
Danny Kelly
Lost 3,000 snaps on defense.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah. So things are not like, I don't think the vibes are super high in Green Bay, and they didn't do a whole lot in free agency, which is kind of norm normal for them.
Danny Kelly
Lost Romeo Dobbs.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah. Yeah, that's it. And the guys, they signed Siobhan Hargrave, Zaire, Franklin, Benjamin, Saint Juiced, and they
Danny Heiferson
lost Jeff Halfley, their defensive coordinator, and they got Jonathan Gannon, who's a good defensive coordinator. But, like, you did lose Jeff Halfley, and also Michael Parsons is coming off a torn acl and you're like, he'll be fine. But you're like, yeah, sucks every time. You're like, Michael Parsons returning from 20 ACL kind of hurts you a little.
Danny Kelly
Yeah. Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
So they're the things. It's not great right now for the. For the packers, even though I think they'll be a good team still.
Danny Heiferson
Okay.
Danny Kelly
We have how many. I think we have five teams left.
Danny Heiferson
Five teams left. I'm gonna just. I get to skirt away from this bottom four. And I'm taking the Indianapolis Colts, which is a mixed bag because I don't love the idea of how much money, but they did. Like, the truth is, you, like when you keep players and like Daniel Jones, the Colts have just been wandering through this quarterback desert of, like, I forget how many. I think I can't keep track anymore. Seven week one starters in the last eight years. Like, it's always. It's like Andrew Luck to Jacoby Brissette to Phil Rivers to Matt Ryan to Carson Wentz to, like, it's just unbelievable. And so they brought Daniel Jones back. Lot of money for a guy off of torn Achilles who's a mobile quarterback who never could stay healthy before he had an injury to his Achilles, who had a broken leg before that, and then a neck injury and all the torn ac. All these things. And then they signed al Pierce to $28 million a year, whatever the real number is. So it's a lot. But also, this is the 28th pick. And I do think at this point, I'm okay with the Colts being the sixth. Like, it's probably. The Colts aren't this bad, but
Danny Kelly
we're getting down to it. I'm gonna take the Dolphins.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh, really?
Danny Kelly
Yeah. I mean, we have four teams left. I'm taking the Dolphins. I guess we should start saying, I am taking the Dolphins above the Browns, Cardinals and Bills.
Craig Korolbeck
Right.
Danny Kelly
Because the Dolphins have two first round picks. They have a new coach. They got. They got rid of their gm, they brought in a new quarterback. Two was gone. Like, it is a cleanse. And it's probably nice to have. To not have to deal with TUA anymore. And I'm kind of just basing it off.
Craig Korolbeck
That's a funny point. Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
In Miami, I think that it sucks. It sucks to just get rid of all your good players. They got rid of Tyree Kill and Jalen Waddle and Bradley Chubb and all these players, and they cleanse the McDaniel thing. But I will say, I do think what Miami's doing is response. I think fans are pissed that Malik Willis is signed, but then they're like, well, Malik Willis doesn't have anyone to help him. And like, how do you expect him to succeed? And I'm like, Malik Willis is not a reason to do this the fast way. Like, you have Drake May in the Patriots, you have Josh Allen in the division. Like, you got to build this slowly. And I think get. I think what the Dolphins did is difficult to convince an owner to do, but it's right.
Craig Korolbeck
Right?
Danny Kelly
They got rid of Chris Greer. It's like two is gone, Tyreek's gone. It's like, okay, at least I can convince myself that a new era is beginning. Even if we're going to suck this year, it's so.
Danny Heiferson
I think Dolphins are the kind of off season that when it first happens, you're like, it's denial, anger. But eventually when you reach the acceptance, you're like, oh, it's a multi year rebuild and it'll be. It's fun to be like, oh, wow, look at all these picks. If fourth, third round, the Dolphins have never had this many picks. I can't remember it.
Danny Kelly
All right, dk, you have three. You could pick the Bills, the Cardinals, or the Browns, dude.
Craig Korolbeck
Do I think that the. The question here is are the vibes better in Buffalo or in Cleveland? Which tells you a lot about how things are going in Buffalo. I feel like the vibes in Arizona are the dead last.
Danny Kelly
So I have. We should just talk about all three of these.
Craig Korolbeck
Do that. Yeah.
Danny Kelly
I have Cleveland dead last.
Danny Heiferson
I have Cleveland just as always. Well, okay. I mean, it started with coaches being unwilling to even interview with them.
Danny Kelly
Right?
Craig Korolbeck
No, there's no. Because they had to fucking write essays.
Danny Heiferson
Horrific vibes.
Craig Korolbeck
The GM is making people write essays. He's like, fucking guy. We're. We're football coaches here.
Danny Kelly
I don't care that they have two first round picks. Deshaun Watson might be playing for them
Danny Heiferson
this year off a torn Achilles that he then retour for 46 million a year when he was the worst quarterback in the NFL when he was healthy. Or Shadur Sanders.
Danny Kelly
And also they have the oldest first time head coach ever.
Danny Heiferson
Oldest first time head coach ever. And the was the only good part of the Browns last year of the entire team. It was the rookie. It was running back. It was Quinshaw. Judkins looked great. He broke his leg. It was like. It was Harold Fannin looked good. And then it was just the defense. Miles Garrett set the sack record with Jim Schwartz who coordinated the defense. They. He wanted the head coaching job. And it's like how many people want that job? And they told him to go himself.
Craig Korolbeck
And he's not writing your goddamn essay. So you've been here for years.
Danny Heiferson
So Jim Schwartz is not being allowed to run the team. He won't return. And now Miles Garrett. We'll see what happens. But there's a chance.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
That Miles Garrett's mad. They told Jim Schwartz to fuck himself.
Craig Korolbeck
Right.
Danny Heiferson
I mean the Brown also, all the linemen they signed are just the guys on the other worst lines in the league. That those teams. Zion Johnson is the only healthy charger. And they were like, goodbye Kevin Jenkins. From when the Browns cast Ben Johnson was like, no way is Devin Jenkins playing for me. They like, it's all these misfit pieces from other bad lines.
Danny Kelly
I've never heard of the Browns new
Craig Korolbeck
defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg.
Danny Kelly
I don't know who that is.
Craig Korolbeck
Have you heard of their offensive coordinator Travis Switzer?
Danny Kelly
Switzer, no.
Craig Korolbeck
All right. I'm gonna pick the Bills solely because they traded for a receiver. And so they're. There's at least some good vibes happening there. But otherwise, like as. As we've laid out, they fired Sean McDermott for and kept the GM that all the fans wanted to fire. Or maybe. Maybe I'm. I might be projecting that on their fans, but that's kind of what my impression was.
Ad Read (Home Depot and Viori)
Was.
Craig Korolbeck
And then they did this whole thing and just hired Joe Brady, who was in house. So it's a little bit funky. And then the. The owner tried to throw Sean McDermott under the bus in the introductory press conference, and that went to hell. The vibes are just horrible relative to, like, where they should be, I think, is what is kind of the deal.
Danny Heiferson
It's a good example of, like, if you take the off season, it's hard to draw the line, but vibes. But if you look at the stock chart of how Bill's fans felt entering that Jaguars game, where you're like, oh, my God, Ravens are. Lamar in here. Mahomes isn't here. Like, we can win this.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Entering that. Or not entering after the Jaguars game, and they're entering the Broncos game to like, even 10 days later, like, Bill's fans are like, what the. Like, they really believed in the. In the direction of the team. And then they're like, wait, we blame Brandon Bean. He got promoted. We like Sean McDermott. He got. It's just. It's a mess. So obviously the Bills are like the best team down here. I think it's fine to take him third to last. So who's left? It's Cardinals.
Craig Korolbeck
Cardinals versus Brown.
Danny Kelly
It's Cardinals and Browns. We could. We could stop the draft here because all of us have an even number of team. We each have 10 teams, and we could just leave the Cardinals and Browns out.
Danny Heiferson
I think the Cardinals are. I. The Cardinals are like the Dolphins where they're like a true long term rebuild.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And like, it was sad. The Cardinals are like the 10th team to get. They're like the Browns. The last thing to get a coach, Michael Flair is like, you know, it's not the preferred coaching candidates. They're late to everything.
Danny Kelly
You're just banking on getting the best quarterback next year.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. They're sending Gardner Minshu to compete with Jacoby Brissette. Like, she's very transparent. Yeah. And then the Browns, I think, are way worse than the Arizona.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh, the poor Browns.
Danny Heiferson
Brutal. Okay, so I'm looking at all my picks.
Craig Korolbeck
I have one regret.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. I was gonna say, as you look
Danny Kelly
at this, was it the jets as your second pick?
Danny Heiferson
That's crazy.
Craig Korolbeck
By the way, I texted Ryan o' Hanlon during the show, and he's a Jets fan, and I. And he. And I asked him, like, how he's feeling about the Jets. He's like, I don't understand what they're doing. And I'm like, okay, well, I was wrong.
Danny Kelly
Here's the deal.
Craig Korolbeck
Sometimes coaches or people in jobs or whatever rely a little bit too much on one person's opinion. I think I relied solely on that one tweet by Sean.
Danny Kelly
I like that you did.
Craig Korolbeck
It's not representative.
Danny Kelly
I like that you did it. It made the show much more interesting.
Danny Heiferson
Thank you.
Danny Kelly
All right, we'll tweet these or we'll put these on Instagram. People can read it. Oh, God.
Danny Heiferson
Put this on Instagram.

Danny Heiferson
Couple other things we get out of here. First of all, I want to just talk. We're in a fantasy baseball league.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, thank God. Thank God.
Danny Heiferson
I have a league with my friends. We're back from home and it's like this now. It's some friends from college that they went to or college their friends from college and stuff. And then we had two spots. We. I convinced you guys to join for a variety of reasons, including because Craig, lifelong Dodgers fan as of September 15th last year.
Danny Kelly
Man, you guys catch that World Series last year?
Danny Heiferson
The entire baseball world is about to like, split into like, literally maybe a
Danny Kelly
lockout because of the, like, these Dodgers are fun. LA is buzzing.
Craig Korolbeck
I can get behind these Dodgers.
Danny Heiferson
Craig's like, you seen this guy? You see this tiny guy yesterday?
Craig Korolbeck
I've heard of them. Did he win an mvp? A couple. Wait, this guy won an mvp, too?
Danny Kelly
Wait, he pitches and hits. Yesterday, cooking dinner, Liz is like, opening day. You want to throw in the Dodgers? I'm like, yeah, I do. Oh, we're back. I only drafted Dodgers and Padres because I wanted to support west coast baseball.
Danny Heiferson
So I was good.
Danny Kelly
We're back. I got.
Craig Korolbeck
That's your team name.
Danny Heiferson
So you guys put. Again, you guys. Deacon, you're trying to get back into the Mariners. Craig's just, you know. Well, yeah, Craig has a legit reason to ditch.
Craig Korolbeck
Well, I'm back into the Mariners, but I'm trying to do the thing where I actually pay attention during the regular season instead of jumping on at the end.
Danny Heiferson
But, yeah, and so DK just puts in on opening day. And I know it's Monday, so things have happened since then, but on the first, it's. I don't know which one's. Opening day. The Giants and the Yankees played on Wednesday, but Thursday, DK puts in a video. Video of Mike Trout hitting a home run. He's like, fantasy baseball's easy. Just take Mike trout, like, the 11th round. I don't know what you guys are doing.
Danny Kelly
It's.
Craig Korolbeck
It's so classic. It reminded me so much of what we talk about all the time, where your friend who's never played fantasy football comes in and is like, oh, wait, I thought this guy was good.
Danny Kelly
Travis Kelsey. Why is Travis Kelsey available?
Craig Korolbeck
Why is he going so late? And. And that was me, truthfully, like, about, I don't know, six or seven rounds into the draft. I'm like, I have never heard of any of these people. I don't. I literally don't know who any of these people are.
Danny Heiferson
Are.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm Googling them on the spot during the draft. Be like, tell me something about this person that I could get excited about. And then I see way down the list at like, 250, Mike Trout. Like, what. What is Mike Trout doing down here?
Danny Kelly
This guy, like, modern Ted Williams. Why the. Is someone.
Craig Korolbeck
As someone who knows only five things about baseball, Mike Trout, baseball player ever.
Danny Heiferson
You're like, well, he must be 41. You're like, 3400. Not that old.
Craig Korolbeck
What the fuck are we doing here? So I picked him, like, eight rounds too early. And I was like, you guys are.
Danny Kelly
Was this guy top 2 in MVP voting for, like, a decade, Dude?
Danny Heiferson
And then you're like, well, he must be really hurt. You're like, oh, says he's the Healthiest he's been in five years. I'm like, this is easy.
Craig Korolbeck
So I dropped. I dropped him into my lineup. He hit a home run on opening day. Got walked like three times. I'm like, hell, yeah.
Danny Heiferson
I am so mad that you got Trout played his most games last year in five years, but fantasy football's like this, too. Oh, God. And then you know what? I could. Craig having all those thoughts because Craig got Mookie bets at fucking 30.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh, yeah.
Danny Heiferson
The 30th pick. And I was like, I know Craig is bewildered that that just happened.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And I'm like, he. I saw him click the button, and I'm like, God damn it. And I had. The actual thing that flashed across my head was last year, Bets got, like, food poisoning on the way to Japan for opening game, opening day, and he lost, like 14 pounds in two days. And he just wasn't right all year. And then this year, he's working with Yamamoto's trainer, the guy who got Yamamoto to close the World Series. And Best movement Guy, he said that his life. He said his body feels completely different. And he's like. He says this 95.
Craig Korolbeck
Best shape of his life.
Danny Heiferson
Yamamoto's got a 92 year old trainer. And he was like, this man's changed my life. And I'm like, I can't believe Craig just got him.
Danny Kelly
I. I took a guy in the second round. I've never. I've literally never heard of Corbin. Corbin Carroll.
Danny Heiferson
He's. I don't know, Brian Thomas Jr. After his rookie year.
Danny Kelly
I don't even want him. I. I'll. I'll trade him to somebody for a Dodger.
Craig Korolbeck
Oh, I have.
Danny Heiferson
I have Yamamoto. We'll talk after.
Danny Kelly
You have Yamamoto?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, I have Yamamoto.
Danny Kelly
You want to go straight up? Straight up. Oh, no.
Craig Korolbeck
You guys are doing trades right now?
Danny Heiferson
No, I have. Wait, I'll give you. Oh, my God.
Danny Kelly
Because he was taking. Yamamoto went right before Carol. I was pissed. I. I debated just doing straight up Carol for Yamato.
Danny Heiferson
No, I don't guy. I'll. I have Angels. They're good.
Danny Kelly
That's kind of la right there.
Craig Korolbeck
We go west coast.
Danny Kelly
Close enough stuff.
Danny Heiferson
It's funny, the other thing that I.
Craig Korolbeck
I sent to High Fitz, but I was like, not. I didn't text the group because I don't want them to think I'm super annoying. But I. I read. I. I followed a handful of baseball accounts on Twitter, and I was like, this is Wednesday or Tuesday or something.
Danny Kelly
Who was it? I'm not following.
Danny Heiferson
This is.
Craig Korolbeck
This is My edge. These are, this is my inside sources here.
Danny Heiferson
This is why, this is why the biggest problem with our show is even when we help people, they're like, I'm not telling you what show is.
Craig Korolbeck
So anyways, I, I, I followed a couple baseball people and I was like, all right, I don't know the last eight people on my team. I'm going to make some moves. And two players that were, that made their major league ball club for the first time, rookies Chase the Lotter and Kevin McGonagall. Undrafted free agents on Tuesday. Mashing on Thursday.
Danny Kelly
Hell yeah. Third.
Craig Korolbeck
I have, I am back in on baseball, baby. I love fantasy.
Danny Kelly
Fantasy.
Danny Heiferson
It's so funny.
Craig Korolbeck
I'm a golden God.
Danny Heiferson
DK's whole thing is I want young players. Kevin McGonagall, I believe, is the third youngest player to ever have four hits in opening day.
Craig Korolbeck
And then Chase the Lotter hit two home runs against my Mariners.
Danny Kelly
Dk, ultimate sell high. Be smart.
Craig Korolbeck
I know. Give me, you know, mookie bets.
Danny Kelly
How about for, I do like fantasy baseball. It's fun. The only thing I, I, that it's annoying about it is like, you can kind of like arbitrage the amount of games you can, your players can, can play. Like, yeah, it's, you can just, you have to be like, adding and subtracting people constantly to try and spam, like, at the, to get as many at bats as you possibly can and as many innings pitched. I don't like that.
Danny Heiferson
It's weird. And I probably should have set up the league better, but I, I had to prep for the show, so I
Craig Korolbeck
had to do my job.
Danny Kelly
It's just always like, oh, I can drop a pitcher and then add a pitcher because he's starting. And I, I can drop this shortstop and add the shortstop because he's playing two more games and, you know, this
Danny Heiferson
week you can the, but we know how fantasy works, which is if you put in the middle amount of effort, you're, you have to put in the last, the least, or the most, but you can't put in the medium or you're gonna, you're screwed. Yeah. Okay, so this is fun. We'll, we'll give baseball updates periodically. We're in on baseball emails. I want to do a couple emails and get out here. Speaking of baseball, we have an email,
Craig Korolbeck
but from Charles C. Bone.
Danny Heiferson
Chaz Craig talked about wanting to throw the first pitch at a baseball game.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, that'd be sick.
Danny Heiferson
Charles emailed breakfast bowl of blueberry frosted mini wheats in a Starbucks double Shot
Danny Kelly
Vanilla blueberry, frosted mini wheat. Sounds great.
Danny Heiferson
It does. It does sound great. Charles's email is, I am the on field host for the Columbus Clippers AAA baseball team. And if Craig ever makes his way to Columbus, Ohio, you are welcome to throw out the first pitch.
Danny Kelly
Damn. When are we gonna be in Ohio next?
Craig Korolbeck
Hell yeah.
Danny Heiferson
I don't know. How far is it from Indianapolis? We're in Indianapolis every year.
Danny Kelly
Where? Columbus.
Danny Heiferson
Couple hours in February.
Craig Korolbeck
Can't.
Danny Kelly
What?
Craig Korolbeck
How far could it be?
Danny Kelly
A couple hours to 2 hours, 45 minutes.
Danny Heiferson
California. It's the closest you are for sure.
Danny Kelly
Three hour drive. Columbus to Indy.
Danny Heiferson
February, though, there's no baseball.
Danny Kelly
Damn.
Danny Heiferson
Okay, so he recommends. So we have an open invite. So minor league baseball teams is his recommendation. It's easier than pro. So, Craig, maybe we find a AAA team in la, work my way up.
Danny Kelly
Yeah. And then I get called up to the big leagues.
Craig Korolbeck
Another one is you just got to throw it as hard as you can.
Danny Kelly
Craig, just absolutely wreck my shoulder.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
The last thing I wanted to bring up here, we were talking in the last episode, just people who claim they invented things. And it's like Dusty Baker says he got the first high 577.
Danny Kelly
Give me a break.
Danny Heiferson
It was the Dodgers. Craig, who's on the Dodgers?
Danny Kelly
You know what? That might be right?
Danny Heiferson
Dodgers claim they invented the high five. Well, we were joking. This is one of my favorite email bits we ever did is like someone's grandfather was like, I invented the turnaround jumper.
Craig Korolbeck
It's so specific.
Danny Kelly
No one else had ever had their back to the basket and thought to shoot it.
Danny Heiferson
No, like, it's one of my favorite things ever is is email more if people listen to this. Who didn't send it last time? Email us things. I love ringerfancy football. Gmail.com emailing. Like my dad, my grandparents, whoever claims they invented this. So someone alerted me after this Dusty Baker high five conversation. You guys know Raise the Roof? Yeah, like, I feel like huge, Tony. Like, raise the roof. You know?
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
Our ringer colleague Joel Anderson claims that him and his friends invented Raise the Roof.
Danny Kelly
What.
Craig Korolbeck
What does raise the roof come from?
Danny Heiferson
Because I guess that Joel says it's from him. Okay.
Craig Korolbeck
But I thought it was from something in popular culture.
Danny Kelly
Like, I assumed it was like an, like an 80s song or something.
Danny Heiferson
It's. It started. So here's the lineage.
Craig Korolbeck
Joel started it.
Danny Heiferson
He said. So it started. I guess the first people claim to invent it are the Houston Comets, which was a Houston Comets, which is like a WNBA team in Houston. In the late 90s. And they claim to have invented it. And then it's like raised the roof and obviously it just became a huge thing. It's in a bunch of songs. Joel claims that he went to high school in Houston. Well, he did. That's not a claim. But he went to high school in Houston. And he was saying that.
Craig Korolbeck
Is that your real name, Joel?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah. Who knows? And he was saying, I forget the exact story. He told it on Ringer Tailgate with Van and Tate, and we got to get them talking about this. And he claims. Joel claims that his. They would. He just did it on a. I don't know if it's a basketball game or something. They were walking to sand his high school and they did. It was kind of like this.
Danny Kelly
He claims.
Craig Korolbeck
And then he. That he invented this.
Danny Kelly
The doing this.
Danny Heiferson
Doing this.
Craig Korolbeck
Not.
Danny Kelly
Not the raise the roof motion.
Danny Heiferson
Started with one arm, and then they did it back, and then it became this whole thing.
Craig Korolbeck
And. Okay, I can kind of believe this.
Danny Heiferson
So then he was in high school, and it molded, but his friends started this, and it became like every time they do it, they'd see this. Then they get older, and I guess they're in clubs in Houston, and then they'd start doing this to each other from across the club. And he says this spread throughout Houston.
Craig Korolbeck
Amazing.
Danny Heiferson
And then five years later, Houston Comets, WNBA team is doing it on the court when they're winning, and then it spreads into popular culture. And he's like, that was fucking from us.
Craig Korolbeck
I started it.
Danny Heiferson
He's like, that's our thing.
Craig Korolbeck
I invented the piano key necktie.
Danny Heiferson
I invented it.
Danny Kelly
I invented it. Google Gemini has weighed in. Okay, and this is fascinating. So you have to listen to the entire response here. According to Google's AI overview, raise the roof originated as a mid-1800s US Southern idiom, meaning to make loud noise or cause an uproar. While the phrase itself is old, the popular hand gesture and modern usage in the 1990s are often linked to teenagers in Texas. That's according to Google. Gemini. Wow. Texas, dude.
Danny Heiferson
I think Joel invented the race the roof.
Craig Korolbeck
This is incredible.
Danny Heiferson
That's crazy. Please email us more stuff like this. We might have to break Joel.
Craig Korolbeck
I can't prove that he didn't is the point.
Danny Heiferson
It's when he said it. So someone sent me the video of this. I didn't know he said this in December during your tailgate. And I was like, what the is Joel talking about? Then he explained it. I'm like,
Danny Kelly
is that George?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, George Bar George. Just like raised the roof.
Danny Kelly
George is pissed. Did you guys watch the Harry Potter show trailer? Yeah, I've never watched Harry Potter. I've never read Harry Potter. So I want to know from people who like it if you're interested in what your thoughts were. How does it look to you, dk? Are you a Harry Potter fan?
Craig Korolbeck
I. I am a Harry Potter fan. I don't really know. I don't quite understand why they're making a show too. It's like, didn't we make the movie? Sorry. George is barking and he's. He's. He's also into this.
Danny Heiferson
People know what dogs sound like. It's okay.
Craig Korolbeck
No, the thought I had during the whole trailer was I thought there was a movie. They did they didn't they make a movie? Well, that being said, I'll probably watch
Danny Heiferson
the show of everything. There's so many remakes now. There's so many everything. I will say Harry Potter is a great thing to make a TV show because there are a lot of stuff in the books that the movies leave out. Right. And honestly, it is well suited to it. I will say this the trail. I haven't seen the trailer yet, but I've always said the biggest beef ever with the sixth Harry Potter book. I was spoil it now. I'm sorry. Turn it off. You don't want to hear the end of Harry Potter. But the sixth book, they forget obviously it was a huge thing. Like the original book spoiler at the time is everyone like Dumbledore dies at the end of the sixth book. And everyone's like huge. But everyone forgets that the biggest to that point scene in the entire series had happened, which is that there are basically wizard Nazis fighting the teachers at Hogwarts. And it's fucking crazy. This is happening and it is this like crazy battle scene that is unfolding and it's like people are dying like in school. Like it's crazy. And they cut it from the book. The movie. It's not in the movie. It is the biggest set piece ever. Because I think they had to make two movies out of the seventh book and they were worried about watering it down. And they're like, well, the big set piece we're building to is battles at Hogwarts. We don't want to water it down and show it already.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
So they invented this scene. You guys see the movies, I think?
Danny Kelly
No, I haven't seen them.
Danny Heiferson
Dk. That scene with the wheeze, you know when they set. Like there's a big fire at the end of the Sixth movie, like the Weasleys, their house burns down. That doesn't fucking happen. That never happened in the books. Or if it did, it was way lower scale. Like the whole, like, oh, they're running through the cornfields. They made that shit up and took out the. To that point, the coolest thing that ever happened in the books. So that's just. There's a bunch of examples like that. And Craig is now regretting me talking about it, but. No, I think they should make a TV show.
Danny Kelly
I see what they do. The criticism online. I saw the New York Magazine called the trailer Muggle Slop. Because it's basically a. Well, it's just like all these characters look exactly the same, but they're just different actors. Like, everything is just exactly the same.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, that was what I thought. That's funny. That's literally what I was thinking while. But it's just like they had the
Danny Kelly
movie that it's like. But there's a little more lighting on everything. Everything feels a little grayer and a little more cgi. And all the characters look the same, but different. And everything looks the same, but different. And it's like, what are we doing? I believe it's the most expensive television show ever made. Or it's. It's the second most behind the Lord of the Rings show, which is. Which didn't work. But it's curious. It's like. It's like the ultimate bet on millennial nostalgia working, you know?
Danny Heiferson
Well, they try to make Harry Potter a universe. And, like, I don't think that works. Like, the difference between Game of Thrones is like, Game of Thrones did build a world. And I will watch other shows about Thrones. No one gave a. About the rest of the Harry Potter.
Danny Kelly
I mean, jury is out on Game of Thrones. I would say that's been a huge success.
Danny Heiferson
I mean, House of the. I don't know how much cost to it, but I think people watch House of the Dragon.
Danny Kelly
Yeah, I think they're, like, moderate successes, but I would not say it's like they've effectively built the MCU with Game of Thrones.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, but I think that, like, even the Game of Thrones stuff, like the other Harry Potter spin offs are like, It's a Dumbledore prequel, basically. Yeah, it's like fantastic beasts. It's like, all right, animals are kids.
Danny Kelly
Kids.
Danny Heiferson
Game of Thrones, they're trying stuff with. They're not related. There's no other characters from the show. It's like the family members, the ancestors. It's like, it's different story, but the.
Craig Korolbeck
Like.
Danny Heiferson
It's a hard thing to do because everyone likes the movies and everyone likes the books. Like, people hate Thrones because. Or people are upset because Thrones ended badly. No one's ever complained how Harry Potter ends. Like Harry Potter. People love it because it ended perfectly. And then the movies did a pretty good job. People, and they're always Harry Potter weekends on, and everyone loves the movies. It's hard. It's hard. It's a very high bar.
Danny Kelly
Are you guys. Is this, like, appointment viewing? Are you going to watch, like, the night the pilot comes out? Are you watching it?
Craig Korolbeck
Not for me personally.
Danny Heiferson
Where I am with TV now is I wait for people. Unless I'm really into it. I wait for people to tell me if it's good. I did watch the Peaky Blinders movie Appointment. Oh, did you? That was so upsetting.
Craig Korolbeck
Not good tv.
Danny Heiferson
I always suck. Like, I. It's the way Craig feels about Happy Gilmore 2. It's not quite that, but, like, like, love to Netflix. We're huge fans of Netflix here. Turn us on before you leave your pets at home. But the Peaky Blinders movie is an abomination.
Danny Kelly
I didn't really. Jesus.
Danny Heiferson
It's weird because I feel like, for
Craig Korolbeck
the record has very strong takes on random things, so.
Danny Heiferson
No, no, it's. It's. It's. I had all these thoughts and I was worried people would like it, and I went on. People hate it. But it's.
Craig Korolbeck
It's.
Danny Heiferson
It's. I Hate Blinders planned to end with the movie for 10 years, and it looks like they had to do it in one year. It's bizarre.
Danny Kelly
I didn't watch the Sopranos movie for this reason. I didn't watch the Breaking Bad movie for this reason.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, it's weird because I get when something's bad because they just threw a check to make more Peaky Blinders. I'm like, I feel like you were building to this the whole time and it was part of the plan.
Danny Kelly
Yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And then it just, like, wasn't.
Danny Kelly
There's too much expectation behind it. I think it's. It's an impossible bar to set when a TV show announces they're going to make a movie. Like, I think you're just setting yourself up to fail when you.
Danny Heiferson
Well, can I. Can I. Do you want any spoilers or anything or.
Danny Kelly
No, no, don't. I. I'll probably never.
Craig Korolbeck
Don't do spoilers. It's actually. It is actually too soon.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah, yeah.
Danny Kelly
Don't spoil it. For anybody at home. Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, well, he already did, but that's fine.
Danny Heiferson
What did I spoil? I hate it.
Craig Korolbeck
You told it. You told us that it was an abomination.
Danny Kelly
That's not a spoiler.
Craig Korolbeck
That's an opinion. Yeah, okay, well, you spoiled. You spoiled my opinion on it.
Danny Heiferson
What's. What's worse? Jets at.
Craig Korolbeck
You poisoned the well.
Danny Kelly
Jets at six.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, that. That's the real question.
Danny Kelly
Jets at six is crazy,
Danny Heiferson
dick. You just saw one tweet was like, they're doing great.
Craig Korolbeck
You know what?
Danny Kelly
That's the new limitless at 16. Jets at 6. Number six jets vibes ranking. You know what?
Craig Korolbeck
Don't worry. Don't worry about that little guy. All right?
Danny Heiferson
I had the jets at 20, and I was like, it's a vibes ranking. Their bottom three.
Craig Korolbeck
I think all. All my other takes are pretty good, though.
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
No, so, you know, if you're looking at, like, the overall hit rate, I'll take it.
Danny Heiferson
Shout out to our disc. The people join our Discord. We can put the link in the episode description. The ringer Discord is the people who alerted me to Joel's take that he invented raised the roof. So shout out to the Discord. So funny. All right, thank you to dk. Thank you to Craig. Thank you to Cam. Thank you, Abu. Thank you, Austin. Thank you, Carlos. Thank you, everyone, for listening. Thank you to Joel. Man, I. I kind of think he did invent that. Emails, if you at ringer, fantasy football, gmail.com, other things that people, parents, whoever claim they invented. That's so good. Email us. Jets fans, email us if you think DK's right. In which case, Craig and I owe
Danny Kelly
a big number six Jets.
Danny Heiferson
And I actually do want to know from fans which ones you disagree with. Like, I, I. It's like I had the Steelers low and Craig is like, it's in the middle. And I'm curious if. If fans, any fans, vehemently disagree. I. I'm open to hearing from you. DK and Craig won't read them, though.
Danny Kelly
That's right.
Danny Heiferson
Will you?
Craig Korolbeck
No. You never know.
Danny Heiferson
Thank you, Lord.
Danny Kelly
Lord.
Craig Korolbeck
Thank you, Luke, who famously sang Raise the Roof. Billboard top hot 100. It peaked at number 26.
Danny Kelly
I don't think I know that song.
Craig Korolbeck
Yeah, I'm not sure I do either.
Danny Kelly
Okay.
Craig Korolbeck
But I did. I just. I knew there was a song. There might be more than one song.
Danny Kelly
The song is called Raise the Roof by Luke.
Craig Korolbeck
By Luke.
Danny Heiferson
Or song that I. I learned I most thought from is just hot here by. By Nelly.
Danny Kelly
Do they say Raise the roof.
Danny Heiferson
It's getting hot in here, so raise the roof.
Danny Kelly
Oh, yeah.
Danny Heiferson
And I kind of just thought. I'm not saying he invented it, but that's just definitely where I heard it from.
Danny Kelly
Dk, I believe the song Raise the Roof By Luke is 29 seconds long.
Craig Korolbeck
Is that right?
Danny Heiferson
Yeah.
Craig Korolbeck
There's no way you just go on Spotify. Well, on YouTube, it's longer, so I don't know. Depends on how long you want to listen to it, I guess.
Danny Kelly
Put it on repeat, you know, no shame in that.
Craig Korolbeck
29 seconds long, it's all.
Danny Kelly
Sometimes 29 seconds is all you need. Yeah, 29 seconds is long enough for me. For you, you know, any longer than that, you're playing with it.
Danny Heiferson
It.
Danny Kelly
George agrees.
Danny Heiferson
George is like. That's out of pocket.
Danny Kelly
