you are about to hear the most interesting, informative, thought provoking and funny show in America on air and on the World Wide Web. This is the Rob Carson Show. This is the Rob Carson show, our number TWA of the show. And we have much to get to. Much, much, much, much. 10 hours of show prep for a 3 hour show. My goodness. The effort that I put in here is, is admirable at best. Sarah Bedford, investigative editor for the Washington examiner, is going to join us at the bottom of the hour. Always a very informative and entertaining segment on the show. So looking forward to checking, you know, what's going on with the Washington examiner, one of the great papers of record here in Washington D.C. of course, obviously the Washington Post isn't. Thank you very much. I haven't read, I haven't read the Washington post in probably 20 years. You know, when I lived here, I mean, what was the point was I had friends in Maryland who, that was their bible. If I, if it was in the Washington Post, it had to be right? And I would just laugh at them. These, these are, these are my liberal friends who don't talk to me anymore, by the way. They don't talk to me at all anymore. They used to ostracize me in conversations and then when I would, I would dare blaspheme the Washington Post was, it was this laugh, it was just laughable. So we'll talk to Sarah at the bottom there. Abigail Spamberger lands at the bottom of Virginia Governor rankings ahead of a gerrymandering vote because they're trying to steal representation from the state's Republicans. And here's the thing about Virginia. Fairfax and Loudoun county won the election for Abigail Scamberger. And I wouldn't doubt that there's all sorts of chicanery and bull crap involved in the election. 100%. I don't believe. Yeah, I'm not, I'm not afraid to say it. I doubt, I doubt the elections. By the way, Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Grutters said that the RNC and Wright Pack have filed a lawsuit challenging a Virginia law that allows non residents to vote in the state elections. Really? How did Abigail Spamberger get get elected? People who have never lived in Virginia or lived in the United States should not be voting in Virginia elections. Virginia officials are ignoring the Virginia Constitution, allowing ineligible voters to cast ballots. The RNC and Wright Pack are taking this action to enforce the law to and ensure non residents are not diluting the votes of Virginia. Virginia is a proud state. Virginia is an old state. I was born in Iowa, not an old state. I lived in Missouri, not a really old state. But out here, I mean, this, this state has been around since the 1700s, even earlier than that, Jamestown before that. And there are a lot of people here who hold very dear their patriotism and their love of the United States of America. The streets where I live are all named after Revolutionary War heroes. They still are. They tried to destroy them, but they're not. People are proud here. People are proud gun owners. People are proud constitutional conservatives. And they don't like this WOKE bullcrap that they pulled in Fairfax and Loudoun counties. Fairfax county was ground zero for WOKE nonsense. Fairfax and Loudoun county was where the FBI sent agents to go school board meetings or write down license plate numbers of Americans who went to protest WOKE nonsense and LGBTQIA plus nonsense at school board meetings. Okay, so this is a very patriotic little state here. And people are really, really mad at Abigail Spamberger because she lied about who she was to become elected. And since the Democrats have gone into power here, they have proposed 80 new tax increases even though Glenn Youngkin left the state with a $2.3 billion surplus. They want to tax dog walking. They want to tax any delivery to your home, your Amazon delivery, just getting an Amazon delivery, they want to tax it. They want to get rid of gas powered leaf blowers. And if you buy a leaf blower that's electric, they want to tax you on that. It is insane. It is nonsensical. And this woman, I've already signed a petition to have her recalled. She needs to be recalled from office. And also what she's doing with sanctuary cities, she is allowing or telling the local law enforcement to not go after, to not cooperate with ICE. Thus far, 75% of the murders in where I live here in, in Fairfax county have been committed by illegal aliens who had been arrested numerous times. Numerous times. So she is going down in flames. Nick Minack has, He works for ABC, ABC 7 locally. And he, he is covering this story about her. I mean, this is the most precipitous drop in popularity of any governor in modern history election.
Sarah Bedford
Our Nick Minoc joins us live with this story. So, Nick, what seems to be behind Spanberger's declining numbers?
Nick Minack
Hey, Michelle. It seems as though registered voters are concerned that Spamberger is not governing from the center.
Rob Carson
Yeah, she lied about where she was from. She never in her platform proposed 80 new tax increases. She never said she wasn't going to work with ice. The Democrat Party has a platform. They have to present it to you before an election so you will know who to vote for. They lied. This is an illegitimate regime. I'm going to tell you right now. Talk to many legal experts about this. And I said this from the very beginning. You cannot decide on a platform and then unveil a new platform in office. This is why communists don't get elected. If they could do this, then a communist, well, I guess she is the communist can say, oh, yeah, we're going to, we're going to be in support of great schools or we're going to all of this and then unveil all of this when they get into office. This can't stand or fulfill her pledge
Nick Minack
to reduce the cost of living. Whatever the reason, these numbers send a very clear message. A new poll from the Washington Post and George Mason University shows Virginia Governor Abigail Spamberger's approval rating isn't where it should be so early in her administration, especially after a decisive win last November.
Sarah Bedford
I just think it's so exciting to have our very first female governor.
Rob Carson
Oh, that's really neat. I voted for a vagina. That's really brilliant.
Nick Minack
Been in office for two and a half years.
Rob Carson
I wanted a vagina in office.
Nick Minack
Munce, how do you think she's doing?
Sarah Bedford
Great.
Rob Carson
Could you just be a guy and just say you're a woman? Honestly? Really? Is this really historic? You know, is it really historic?
Nick Minack
Former governor, you Ms. Glenn Youngkin?
Rob Carson
Absolutely.
Nick Minack
Last November, Spamberger won election with 57% of the vote.
Rob Carson
Yeah, because of Fairfax and Loudoun county. Because government employees were starting to get laid off. By the way, good news on that. Government fraud and government employment is way down, which is good for government employees because you can work in the private sector. It's absolutely awesome. The federal government shed 18,000 jobs in March, down to 2.2.66 billion, the lowest since 1966. That's why she's in office. Because government employees who, by the way, left to work from home during COVID and never returned 95% of the time suddenly had to go back to work. And those who didn't go back to work were relieved of duty. That's why they voted for this crazy cat lady.
Nick Minack
Right? Now, while 47% of voters approved of the job she's doing, 46% do not, which UVA political scientist Sabato says is bad news.
Tim Burchett
A drop of that margin is stunning,
Rob Carson
and it should be greatly disturbing to the governor and the governor's staff if it's repeated in other surveys.
Nick Minack
Some Democratic strategists tell 7News internal polling shows the same trend. Governor Spamberger campaigned as a moderate, but some of her first acts in office were to block state law enforcement cooperation with ICE and promoting a divisive redistricting campaign, which would all but eliminate Virginia's Republican representation.
Rob Carson
Yeah, so Virginia residents, including me, will not be represented in Congress. Instead, we will be represented by radical leftist Democrats. That is taxation without representation. If not mistaken, there was a war
Nick Minack
started over that in Congress. And after running on affordability, state Democrats introduced a flurry of tax increases instead of. Which may be why most voters surveyed believed her affordability agenda will either have no impact or actually make things more expensive.
Rob Carson
And that's an example of where the Spanberger team has to change directions. Well, they. They probably won't, but I'm going to encourage a recall petition of this governor for not doing what she said he was going to. I don't consider her. I don't consider her. Her governorship legitimate in any way, shape or form. And, And I don't. I don this Democrat majority in the state of Virginia legitimate in any way, shape or form. It is an insult to a great, great state. Lands at the bottom of Virginia Governor ratings ahead of the gerrymandering vote. And I said earlier on, I said, if this continue, we continue down this path, I will move from the state of Virginia. I don't want to because, see, I lived in Maryland for a dozen years, and I watched Maryland descend into hell, by the way. Oh, and their governor who is more concerned about running for president? The fresh prince of Maryland, West Moore. He's now underwater. Nick Shirley has visited Maryland, and it looks like the same sort of fraud has been happening in Maryland. So it looks like some things could happen in Maryland. I know several of the candidates who are running for governor in the state of Maryland. I don't think it's out of the question, considering Larry Hogan was the governor a few years ago that a Republican is elected. But I think that Maryland has been ruled by the Maryland General Asylum for a very long time. And I think maybe perhaps the people of Maryland who live in the hinterlands, who live outside of Baltimore, who live outside of the, you know, Montgomery county near Washington, D.C. have had a belly full of this nonsense, this woke nonsense. And I'm sure that when it comes to Maryland, it will be shown to be as corrupt or more than states like California are being are being shown. Let's take a break and come back. This is the ROB Carson show. This fall, you're invited to experience Washington, D.C. in a truly unforgettable way with me, Rob Carson and other Newsmax listeners. A lot of good news happening, obviously, the rescue of two fighter pilots in Iran just in time for Easter, the possibility of freedom for the Iranian people, flying to the opposite side, the dark side of the moon, seeing pictures that no human has seen before. You lived through this. Do you know how many people lived in homes with dirt floors and farmed a few acres and hunted for their food and never got to see anything like this? Do you have any idea how glorious and how fortunate you are to live in this country and live at this time. Oh my goodness. It really is amazing. It really is amazing. I never lose my sense of wonder. I look up at the sky. I look at this phone in my pocket here that I can do so much. Where they can access. I've got the Library of Alexandria times a million right here. We have a million ways. You know, you used to sit around a fire if you're lucky and read a book. And that was your entertainment after a long hard day of trying to feed your family. And tonight, you know, you can go home and you can watch 10,000 movies. You can choose 10,000 movies or documentaries or any side of streaming content or play any sort of online game or interact with anyone in the world. I've got a good friend I've known who lives in Japan. He's been in Japan since we graduated from college. And I could just talk to him whenever I want. Just text. Hi, Greg, how are you? There's no space between us. There's no space between us at all. It is remarkable, but one of the weird things that's happening right now is a lot of talk about how we may have been visited by aliens. Space aliens. Now I've got a lot of thoughts on this. I put a lot of time into it. I like to without getting too much into the weeds, because I can get into the weeds on this. I know my stuff. I'm a total science geek. You have no idea if in fact the universe is 15 billion years old. We exist on a, in the time spectrum of the universe, an eyelash on a 10 mile stretch of highway. That's where we are right now. So other civilizations could have come and gone a billion years ago, which would mean that they've gone through some of the same progression. We have started sending radio waves, broadcast waves, etc. Into the universe to travel at the speed of light to wherever. So you would think that there is other life in the universe. It would be teeming with the communications of those beings. But there's nothing. There's nothing. We hear nothing. Which makes me wonder if we are alone. There's a movie, Contact came out years ago, one of my favorite movies, Carl Sagan book. And you know, if we're alone, it would be a terrible waste of space because we exist on a. Not even a grain of rice. I mean, we're so tiny. I mentioned that the furthest distance from the Earth, which we just experienced a round trip, is going to be 685,000 miles. It takes light 3.6 seconds to go that far. The distance of our Galaxy, the Milky Way would take the speed of light 150,000 years to cross. You can't begin to imagine how small we are. You can't even begin to. The amazing things that we consider here on Earth are so tiny in the grand scheme of everything, and there are billions of galaxies. It's almost too much to comprehend. But it is amazing, mystifying. And through it all, no matter what I discover, no matter what I learn, I have never questioned my belief in a creator. Most important thing. There have been some times I've strayed a little bit, but I believe that there is an intelligence to the universe. Timber. Chet was on TMZ talking about the possibility that we've been visited by aliens. This is Tim Burchette, Congressman. It is a man. He's commonsensical guy. He echoed the same thing he said with Rob Finnerty on Newsmax last week. Listen to this. What I want to make sure I'm understanding is a member of our government has told you and others, I guess, that there is a form of alien life and machinery which maybe brought this living creature here that interacted in some form with people.
Tim Burchett
Yeah, they have and they've. It's just, it's. It's pretty wild. I know, I know, but it's. I'm just.
Rob Carson
This explains Rose Delaro and James Carville
Tim Burchett
telling you, I'm not going to lie to you. I'd take a lot. You won't put me on a polygraph. I'll take it. But, you know, this is what the guy told me. I mean, I've had a. A very high ranking naval official describe. You know, I've talked about this before. Underwater craft, something big as a football field moving at over 200 miles an hour, that they. And there's no fish in the ocean that would do that. We don't even have a sub that'll probably do 40 miles an hour under the. And the last thing he said before he left my office was he was kind of weird because he didn't go out the. He went out the side door, which nobody ever uses. And he looked at me, pulled me up close, he said, tim, they're real. And that's the last thing he said.
Rob Carson
Okay. Okay. Here is Rob Finnerty talking to the congressman last week. I don't have the tinfoil hat on just yet, Congressman, but I'm wondering, you know, Finnerty's ready for a punchline here. Listen, kind of how you react to that, because you are connected. You're on the UFO subcommittee.
Tim Burchett
I mean, I'm Just wondering what you make of that. Have you heard anything like that? Well, I'm still a member of Congress, so I can't really comment too much on what Matt said, affinity. But I will say this.
Rob Carson
Wait, seriously, are you being serious or that.
Tim Burchett
I've been 100% serious. I've been 100% serious. I've been briefed by just about every Alphabet agency there is. And I'll just tell you this. If they would release the things that I've seen, you would stay up, you'd be up at night worrying about or thinking about this stuff.
Rob Carson
We just needed to finity. On Newsmax, Rob Finner, he's freaking fantastic. He's gobsmacked.
Tim Burchett
Close to all. I'm sick of it. You're. Well, I was, I was brief. I'll just tell you this. I was brief last week on an issue, or, excuse me, two weeks ago, and it would have set the Earth, this, this country would have come unglued. I think if they would have heard all that I heard, they would, they would demand answers and they knew we need to. But, you know, it's, it's never going to get. Unfortunately, it just keeps getting covered up and.
Rob Carson
Well, I know I'm, I'm the same way. Israel Space Authority ex member told Ms.
Chaim Eshed
Now this Chaim Eshed is making the extraordinary claim that the United States and Israel have been in contact with a group of aliens for years. Not immigrants, but extraterrestrials. He has called them the Galactic Federation of Aliens. And he says President Trump is aware of the existence.
Rob Carson
And James T. Kirk has had sex
Chaim Eshed
with all the females, these aliens, and have been on the verge of revealing their secrets, he claims, but was asked not to do so by the Federation in order to prevent what he calls mass hysteria. Well, the retired general says the US and Israel have kept it from the public because humanity isn't ready and the aliens don't want to reveal themselves until humanity can evolve, he says, and understand what space really is.
Rob Carson
Mind kind of blown. Kind of blown. I don't know how to think about it. I've, I've spent a lot of intellectual currency on this issue over the years. I have read copious volumes about this and it's always been conspiratorial to think about it. My mind is still not made up, to be quite honest. I wouldn't understand why they would not want to keep it from us, why they would keep us from us. I don't think that other life in the universe is going to shatter my belief in A creator. I'll just tell you that. Maybe that's one of the issues. Anyway, some things to think about. Well, you know, with one eye open as you try to fall asleep tonight. All right, we're gonna take a break and come back more with Sarah Bedford from the Washington Examiner. On the other side of the break. Don't go anywhere. Hey, guys, it's Carson. I just got a ghost bed. Yeah, pay attention here because I've been sleeping on a foam mattress since I moved to the Washington, D.C. area, which is like sleeping on the sponge in your sink. Ghost bed doesn't build mattresses like furniture. They build engineered sleep systems. Their beds are serious health equipment. Beds designed for relief and recovery, not looks, not fluff. Your body should be healing while you sleep, not fighting for comfort. I have been sleeping past seven in the morning on my ghost bed. It's unbelievable. If you wake up stiff, you toss and turn. If you sleep hot, even reaching for a pain reliever before bed, hoping tonight will be different. That's not aging, it's your mattress talk. Another great thing I love about Ghostbed, you get 101 nights to try it at home. If you don't like the difference, you can send it back risk free. Ghostbed is offering my audience their lowest prices of the season plus an extra 10% off. Go to ghostbed.com Carson. Use promo code Carson. That's ghostbed.com Carson. Promo code Carson. You are gonna love your new Ghostbed. You're here. As we surpass the furthest distance since humans have ever traveled from planet Earth. We do so in honoring the extraordinary efforts and feats of our predecessors in human space exploration. We will continue our journey even further into space before Mother Earth succeeds in pulling us back to everything that we hold dear. It's pretty remarkable week in history. And I was curious, actually. Sarah Bedford is an investigative the investigative editor of the Washington Examiner. You know, my generation, I'm a Gen Xer. I'm not old enough to remember the lunar landing. So this is kind of like wow to me too. Sarah Bedford, what do you think about all of this this week in the United States?
Sarah Bedford
Well, it's such an amazing testament to American innovation and what America is really capable of when they're unleashed to achieve like this, it's so rare that they're. There's not that many monocultural moments where everyone is united and cheering on the same thing. And so it's cool to see everybody, young and old, you know, liberal, conservative, being stoked about the moon mission and
Rob Carson
to see the dark side of the moon made famous by Pink Floyd. Thank you very much. Gen X right here. But it is remarkable to see photos that. No. To see images that no human has ever seen in the history of mankind. That's just kind of crazy, isn't
Sarah Bedford
is? I mean, for so long, space exploration just wasn't anywhere near the list of top priorities for the U.S. nASA was sort of defunded. And anyone who talked about wanting, you know, a moon base or more space exploration was kind of written off as a loon. But. But here we are celebrating this achievement.
Rob Carson
Have you watched Tim Burchett lately talking about how if we knew the things that Congress did about space aliens, we wouldn't be able to sleep at night? Have you been paying attention to this at all?
Sarah Bedford
That kind of thing is always freaks me out. I don't think about.
Rob Carson
I've seen too many movies where it ended very poorly for mankind. Although in Independence Day, we came back and kicked their butts. Did you see, by the way, off subject, did you see out of nowhere, the gift to the Nutella company from NASA that happened in space? Did you see that when it happened?
Sarah Bedford
I did not. What happened?
Rob Carson
Okay, so we're watching this and Nutella got. You like Nutella, right? Who doesn't like Nutella? Dear God in heaven, it's fantastic. So in the middle of the. The live shot from NASA floats a jar of Nutella that one of the astronauts got and Nutella froze. Frame it and put it up on all social media. The greatest advertisement for Nutella that could ever, ever, ever exist.
Sarah Bedford
For real. I bet they were.
Rob Carson
Oh, God, I gotta. I can't have Nutella in the House. It's just crazy. Let's move on to other stuff. Abigail Spamberger's precipitous fall from grace after basically lying to become elected, getting a lot of support, obviously from Fairfax and Loudoun counties, and now lands at the bottom of Virginia governor rankings ahead of this attempt to gerrymander the state of Virginia and eliminate Republican representation. What are your thoughts on this, Sarah?
Sarah Bedford
Well, I think that the fact that her popularity is tanking doesn't surprise me, but it does surprise me how quickly that happened. I mean, it shows that more people are paying attention because the policies that she started implementing on day one after her inauguration are just totally different from what she ran on. She ran on affordability. She ran on being a unifying force and a centrist and someone who would represent more or less continuity with the moderate Republican governor who just left office, Glenn Youngkin. She did not position herself as someone who was trying to take the state in a different direction because people were mostly happy with how things were going under Youngkin, who was term limited. And so, you know, it's crazy to see how quickly that's happened. She's only been in office for three months. In fact, I think it's actually less than three months. And yet her, her favorability has taken a sort of historic nosedive.
Rob Carson
Well, she, she came in because Trump had entered office. He was getting rid of a lot of government employees. Right now we have the lowest number of government employees since 1968. Fairfax and Loudoun county loaded with those employees. 94% of government employees left work after Covid and never came back. Donald Trump said, get your butt back to work. So there was a lot of that. There was a lot of that. You know, Fairfax, also known for its wokeism in its schools, they've lost a lot of. It was ground zero for parents going to school board meetings and being tracked by the FBI. A lot of weirdness there. All of that happened. And here comes Spamberger. She gets into the office of governor and then, and does this. And what I'm wondering about, Sarah, and I said this from day one. You cannot as a party present one platform and then unveil another platform when you're in office. That this way the communists could say, oh yeah, we want low taxes and a closed border and get into office and then unveil. No, no, we're, we're the opposite of that. So I don't think it's, I don't think, I don't. But who am I to say I don't think her, her election in her governorship is legitimate.
Sarah Bedford
Well, you certainly can't do that if you hope to be reelected or if you hope your party continues to do well in the future. And I mean, Spamberger is term limited. And so there are critics who could say that sort of thing creates perverse incentive for governors who know they don't have to worry about a reelection in four years and can sort of run the table that way. But I think that her lack of popularity, her tanking favorability numbers could really put her gerrymandering effort in jeopardy.
Rob Carson
Well, I saw a poll that said 76% of Virginians were against it. That's pretty dramatic, right?
Sarah Bedford
I mean, it's the, what she has going for her is that Democrats right now are more motivated, they have higher enthusiasm levels. And this sort of off year referendums tend to have low turnout. So they tend to be dominated by Whichever side has the most enthusiasm. So she does have that going for her. But early numbers show that you do have higher turnout than usual than you might expect in the rural red areas of Virginia. And like you mentioned, it's a deeply popular idea.
Rob Carson
Well, and also unpopular. Exactly. Because you're taking away taxation without representation. I believe that Virginia was part of that, that original sin that caused the Revolutionary War. You've also got a dramatic and unprecedented grab of the Second Amendment in the state of Virginia. And Virginia is to be trifled with when it comes to the Second Amendment.
Sarah Bedford
That's right. I mean, people in D.C. experience Virginia as being sort of urban. And this is the highly populated northern part of Virginia isn't really doesn't have that much culturally in common with the vast majority of the rest of the state, which is culturally southern. A lot of it is rural. There is a huge gun culture outside of the Washington, D.C. suburban area. And again, this is not something that she advertised as a priority of hers when she was campaigning and when she might have gotten some of those crossover votes.
Rob Carson
I wonder what the cause. I've seen a couple of recall petitions circling and I would absolutely 1000% be behind that. I wonder if that's going to be a possibility down the road. Let's hold on to it. Sarah, can you stick around for the next break?
Sarah Bedford
Sure. Thank you.
Rob Carson
I want to talk about. I want to talk about Eric Swalwell. It appears he's in a little hot agua with his behavior as a congressman and young women, among other things. On the other side of the break again, investigative editor, Washington Examiner, Sarah Bedford. Sarah C. Bedford on Twitter. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show.
Cheyenne Hunt
People have questions about why I decided to make public comments about allegations of sexual harassment against Eric Swalwell before a major news outlet published the story. So let me be as clear and transparent about that as I safely can be. I personally working with a group of women who want to come forward and share their stories. I am also aware of a much larger group that is also in this process that I am not personally working with. We have secured pro bono legal representation for them and they are in the process of sharing their information with major outlets while ensuring that their legal and physical safety is protected.
Rob Carson
That is a young woman named Cheyenne Hunt, an attorney, former congressional candidate and executive director of Gen Z for Change. She has been working with a number of young women who claim that Eric Swalwell has, has pressured them for sex, has had the involvement with with women, obviously you are innocent until proven guilty. This on the heels of a relationship that he had with a presumed Chinese spy named Fang Fang. We remember that. And then of course, rumors of some untoward behavior on Capitol Hill. And Sarah Bedford, have you heard much about this by the way?
Sarah Bedford
I've been, you know, following some of the updates on social media and yeah, really curious to see what the, what this unnamed media project in the works is.
Rob Carson
Yeah, yeah. Well, you know, they were being. There was a report last year someone had listened to a conversation that Swallowell had at one D.C. restaurant and he was very braggadocious about his sexual conquest. And of course that's just hearsay, but whatever. I mean it would be rather uncommon for men to take advantage of young women in Washington D.C. on Capitol Hill. This would certainly be a first, wouldn't it?
Sarah Bedford
Well, that's the thing is that it's just such a regular occurrence. I know, perhaps it's not shocking to anyone.
Rob Carson
It's so bloody sickening. It is so bloody sickening, honestly, that so many young women, it's like, it's like a feeding frenzy on Capitol Hill. Many young women have left Washington D.C. careers ruined because they wouldn't cooperate. It's just ridiculous. I wanted to bring it up. We'll see what happens with this. I want to mention something else. You know, Nick Shirley opened up, you know, can of worms in Minnesota, went to California. Now we're hearing upwards of a half a trillion dollars in fraud in California hospice and whatnot. I had heard, and it wouldn't surprise me that there's a good deal of corruption in, in the state of Maryland. And I had also heard a couple weeks ago that Nick Shirley was in Baltimore. Have you heard anything about the possibility of investigation with regard to the state of Maryland and some of the fraud that has been exposed in Democrat run states.
Sarah Bedford
It's, that's not shocking because anytime decades of one party control of government, you don't have the same types of levels of accountability as you do when you have competitive races for state legislatures and for statewide offices like the governorship and state attorney general and things like that. So it's not shocking that that might be the case. And just this week a judge ruled in the Minnesota lawsuit that Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison brought. He said to Trump, you know, hey, you can't cut off our Medicaid fund, that's unconstitutional. And a judge said actually it's not. When you have fraud problems, the federal government has every right to withhold that money. And so, so that could be a pretty important Precedent as these blue states fight to keep the dollars flowing if it's, if even the courts are affirming that the federal government has this power.

Did you see also that Wes Moore, I like to call him the Fresh Prince of Maryland, who spends more time in Lake Como with George Clooney than he does caring for the people of the state of Maryland. Of course, we also know the Key Bridge, two years down, about a hundred yard, part of that expanse has been rebuilt. He's underwater, like, like the bridge. Actually, it appears that he is. He's losing popularity among Marylanders. That's kind of a big deal.
Sarah Bedford
It's certainly a big deal if, as is rumored, he has 20, 28 aspirations. And yeah, there's already a sort of some black marks against his record, some of which have to do with him being credibly accused of having embellished or even fabricated parts of his, his resume and personal history. I mean, that's the sort of thing that especially presidential primary voters don't look too kindly on.
Rob Carson
I'm just hoping that, you know, I lived in Maryland for a dozen years and watched the Maryland General Asylum propose things like taxing you for the square footage of your roof, for the amount of rain that fell on it, you know, because it might affect the Chesapeake Bay. Just idiotic, nonsensical BS and watched Maryland, descended it. Do you live in Maryland or Virginia or. Or DC where do you live?
Sarah Bedford
Yeah, I live in Virginia, the free state of Virginia.
Rob Carson
Well, I know, I know. And listen, I used to drive across the Potomac and look at Virginia as Oz because it was just beautiful compared to Maryland. I mean, in Germantown, Maryland, where I used to live, the mall that I used to take the kids to has been abandoned for 10 years. It's still abandoned. And that's Maryland. It's a metaphor for Maryland. Frederick Maryland has really descended. It used to be a vibrant, wonderful, artistic, kind of cool community. And now it's just, it's, it's not the same as it was. Virginia, unless they get it turned around, I'm afraid is going to go down the same path. I hope not.
Sarah Bedford
Sarah Bedford that's certainly a risk. And, you know, I think people are waking up to that reality.
Rob Carson
I do, too.
Sarah Bedford
Any time in previous years, I think the quality of governance and the failure of democratic governance in particular has become a sort of live issue for voters who look around and say, you know what, it doesn't need to be this way. I mean, look at Trump. He's proven. And you can just do things if you want to govern well. And I think Democrats are going to start, especially in 2028, facing more calls for accountability for their governing failures.
Rob Carson
Yeah, 100%. All right. Well, I appreciate you being a real delightful conversation. I really enjoy having you on, Sarah. Washington examiner, of course, is a great news source. Where can people find your work? And the great work of the Washington Examiner.
Sarah Bedford

Things are growing out of control, growing with this show. And we're going to be adding radio stations and more streamers and all of this. Why? Because we're the only show that entertains, informs, motivates people to do good, and uses humor to make a point. Uses humor to make a point. Nobody else does it. Nobody else does it. And the reason being is because conservative comedy is ascending, because the left can't be taken seriously anymore. It has never made more sense than now, right now, for conservative comedy. Gutfeld is an example. My show was around three years before Gutfeld. Rob Carson's what in the World? And last weekend, I wore a pink bunny suit, for God's sake. When the dollar's convertibility into gold ended in 1971, gold was fixed at 35 bucks an ounce. Fast forward to today. The US dollar has lost 85% of its purchasing power. This is why a new car on average costs 47,000 freaking dollars and a new house costs $420,000. And we're $39 trillion in debt. Meanwhile, gold has increased in value by 12,000%, literally 100%, in the last three or four years. 2,600. It's 4,600 now, just a year and a half ago. Central banks are buying it. Big firms like Vanguard and BlackRock are buying it. It's great to have in your portfolio. It's not your entire portfolio, but it's there. Why not? It's been valuable since the day we dug it out of the ground. But it starts with education. Birch Gold just announced their Learn and Earn Precious Metals event. This free event rewards you for learning the basics of investing in precious metals. Sign up, get free silver on your next purchase. Get even larger incentives as you go. Text my name, Rob to 989-898 to join Birch Gold's Learn and Earn precious Metals event by April 30th. Text Rob to 989-898 today. There you go. Do and also I want to mention this one more time. We're going to see all the sights if you've ever dreamed of seeing. I still get goosebumps when I go to the Washington Monument or the Lincoln Memorial. And I remember Martin Luther King Jr. S words on those steps looking out of the reflecting pool. You will be there with me. We will share this together. So travelwithrob.net get on it today. Book it. It's historical and it's going to be glorious. I'm taking days off work to be with you. You got me here. Join me here. Travelwithrob.net God bless you. America is founded. This episode is a fast-paced, sometimes biting, yet ultimately accessible deep dive into the state of American—and especially Virginian—politics. Carson and Bedford provide both entertainment and information, with featured segments that range from the fate of embattled state leaders, to whispered scandals on Capitol Hill, to the wonder (and comic possibilities) of humanity’s space exploits and rumors of alien contact. The mix of expert commentary, first-hand skepticism, and snappy soundbites make it both informative and highly entertaining for political junkies and casual listeners alike.
