In America on air and on the World Wide web. This is the Rob Carson show.
Rob Carson
And by the grace of God, it is finally Friday. This is wow. Already the 16th of Jeanvier 2025. You know, I was listening to news at the top of the island and what news you have on our local affiliate. But you know, you got all these polls that say Americans don't want us to take over Greenland. And you hear Lisa Markowski going, Americans don't want us to take over Greenland. And then I realize, oh well, because Lisa Murkowski in the national poll say Americans don't want to take over Greenland, that we should take over Greenland. It's not about taking over Greenland. Quit your frickin whining, okay? It's about an island that is a very strategic location and surrounded by Russian and Chinese destroyers and submarines and a path to sending goods around the globe that's shorter than going south through the Panama Canal. All right? And right now the Denmark government sitting on their arses doing nothing with it. And there's a real possibility it could slip into the control of China or Russia. So how about shut up and quit being such. Oh, they don't want it, we don't want it. It's the most unpopular thing that Americans have ever wanted. Shut your mouth whenever it gets that big. Where, oh yes, this would be the worst foreign policy disaster in American history. Americans have want this less than anything in world history. I realize, oh my God, you're so full of crap. Then there's Iran. I understand your and my impatience because we hate to see people being slaughtered. But what is really amazing is that I don't think any of us expected Donald Trump, the playboy, the, you know, guy who was featured on the most popular show in America, the Apprentice, and you know, has been in every tabloid for years now he's, you know, obviously being president and president for the second time. And we're seeing him as a seasoned world leader who has A great deal of temperance with regard. Oh, but he says this and he flipped that guy off at the Ford dealership and Elbow or the Ford factory, you know, shut up. That doesn't mean anything. That's just reacting to people being complete douches to him. Okay? That's just, that's just a text. That's just response to the 98% of negative nonsense. That's when he, that's when he gets out the boxing gloves. But he's very deliberate on everything he does. That's why the, the Venezuelan extraction of Maduro went so flawlessly. Did you notice they started parking ships off the shores of Venezuela months ago? Have you noticed there are no drug boats being blown up lately? Maybe because there aren't any drug boats. Isn't that amazing what happens when you do something? But we hate to see people die. We hate to see people who are screaming, come and rescue us. Come and help us, please. America, we depend on you. We depend on you. Don't let us down. And then sometimes we get wobbly and we doubt Donald Trump. We think that he might do the same thing that one of the Bushes would do or Obama would do. And then we realized, no, because you know what? He's never done that. He's never done that. He's got a strategic plan. You just can't arrive and pull off a well thought out mission where there aren't American boots on the ground. It has to be strategic. You've got to strike targets, you've got to weaken the regime and then let people handle the rest.
Military Analyst
The US Military had presented strike options for President Trump to consider, but could not guarantee the regime would be overthrown. The President reportedly wanted assurances that any military action would be swift, decisive, and not lead to a.
Rob Carson
So we don't get into a 20 year war like George W. Bush did.
Military Analyst
Wider war in the Middle East. The US Military posture in the Middle east was not ready for a decisive strike. It had no aircraft carrier in the Middle east for the first time in years because the Pentagon.
Rob Carson
Did you know what he did to stop the killing? Did you see what he did? He said, I'm going to put the heavy on you and I'm gonna strike you unless you stop it. And then, of course, they talked a little smack and then they stopped it. Okay. And then you're seeing the, the, the protests start to die down around the country. You're like, oh, my God, the Ayatollah is gonna take over again. No, no, no.
Military Analyst
Ordered the USS Ford to the Caribbean. Just three destroyers and three littoral combat ships were in the Middle east as of Wednesday. Half the number of U.S. warships currently stationed in the Caribbean near Venezuela. Any aircraft carrier would take one to two weeks to get to the. The US Also removed some of its anti missile batteries out of the Middle east following last summer's strike on Iran's nuclear sites. Those could soon be returning. As for what the US Military options look like, experts say the President still has a lot of firepower in the Middle east, including an Ohio class submarine capable of firing up to 154 Tomahawk missiles.
Rob Carson
And Israel is going to have to step up too, by the way. Come on now. 100%, the Ayatollah can't stay in power. That's it. You, you, particularly after murdering so many of the people. And then also what Iran has done to us over the decades, killing tens of thousands of Americans and others around the world. 50,000 terror attacks around the world. The, the, the, the bombing of the US Marines barracks in 1983. I remember that. It's time for the son of a bee to be booted out. Here's Jack Keane. Think about what Donald Trump is doing to drive the Ayatollah out of Iran.
General King
But you have to consider what else Iran's ability to retaliate. Who would they retaliate against? US Bases and Israel. So one, let's make certain that the defense of those systems are as good as they can be.
Rob Carson
There you go.
General King
And that has to be taken into consideration. And then what do we do about the target set in reducing Iran's capability to conduct those retaliation attacks? These are all things that are laid out to the President and making he's.
Rob Carson
Already killing the Iran economy decisions. And you see the dinar, which is the, the currency in Iran used to be 70 dinars for a dollar. Now it's like 1.4 million options.
General King
And obviously that means we would have to expand the target set to make certain we take down some of Iran's ballistic missiles. I assume at target best. What would come of this is we put the Iran regime on a pathway.
Rob Carson
Yes.
General King
To its collapse. This is a process that's taken place. We're focused on holding the people accountable for what they have done and then putting it on a pathway to so weaken the regime, which is already politically, economically and military, the weakest it has been in 45 years.
Rob Carson
Absolutely. And what is next, General King?
General King
We're trying to squeeze Iran in terms of ability to sell more oil than it's been selling. That has taken place. That's not decisive in itself, but it's an enabler. Yes, we're likely helping the protesters communicate better given the Iranians have shut down the Internet and that's a covert operation to do something like that. Cyber operations likely being conducted against Iranians command and control systems, their telecommunications ability for the IRGC and the Bashi militia who are on the streets to communicate effectively. Also cyber operations against their surveillance capability of the population itself. All of those are capabilities the United States has that are second to nobody. We are likely conducting information operations against the oppressors because if and when, and I believe it's when, yes, kinetic operations are conducted against that organization, against its leaders, we want divisiveness in it.
Rob Carson
Yeah, it's got to end. It's gotta end. They wanna make sure it's done. No prolonged war, no bullcrap, no billions of dollars over decades. And then a is unbelievable irresponsible withdrawal from Afghanistan, leaving $85 billion of equipment and allowing young girls to once again slip into bondage with no future whatsoever. That's how deliberate this man is. Here's Tom Cotton. Senator, talking about how Donald Trump wages war.
Tom Cotton
If you look at the most consequential, bold and audacious actions he's taken, the killing of the ISIS leader in Syria, the killing of Iran's terrorist mastermind in Iraq, the strikes against Iran's nuclear programs last year, and the masterful apprehension of.
Rob Carson
Nicolas Maduro, got a pretty good track record, don't he?
Tom Cotton
Just a couple weeks ago. These look nothing like the Iraq or Afghanistan war. They were not commitments of tens of thousands of troops.
Rob Carson
Do you hear that? Do you hear that? Iraq, Afghani war veterans. Do you hear that?
Tom Cotton
On open ended missions, these were direct, bold strikes that advance clear national security priorities. And of course Iran has been terrorizing the United States and the civilized world for 47 years. As I said, they've got the blood of hundreds of Americans on their hands. And unless there's a fundamental change in the behavior of, of the ayatollahs, the only way Iran will stop.
Rob Carson
I think we need to put a patriot in is a. Hola. Here is Ted Cruz finally on this with a message to the Iranian people. Hang on. Help is on the way.
Ted Cruz
I want to take a moment to speak to the people of Iran and to the people of Iran. I want to tell you America stands with you. President Trump stands with you. And you are fighting to topple a dictator. A theocratic lunatic who regularly leads mobs chanting Death to America. And unlike in 2009 when Barack Obama was president and the people of Iran tried to rise up and Obama sided with the regime and against the people. We have a president who is standing on the side of freedom and encouraging the people of Iran. They're showing incredible courage to take out the tyrannical regime and that would make America much, much safer.
Rob Carson
I have fantasized about this moment for a very long time, all my adult life. And also that freedom would reach Cuba and it is reaching Venezuela. And I told you that 2026 is going to be a historic year for freedom. It's going to be a historic year economically and the left who have been in control the the action that has required the reaction of us, the yin and the yan. We are the yan and, and the left is going to spin into hell, kicking and screaming, dying like movie vampires dragging, trying to grab us, pull us down with them like they're trying to do in Minneapolis, in other places. And we're not frickin going. This is going to be an amazing year and we have to stay focused and we have to do battle at the ballot box. We have to do battle every day with joy and patriotism, not take their bait and make them look ever smaller every single day. That's what I'm going to do. That's what you're going to do. 250th anniversary. It's going to be the best year ever. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show. This is Rob Carson, Joe, Christian, Toto going to be talking to the bottom of the hour about a number of things. I'm going to see if he checked out Pluribus. Pluribus is this streaming show. It's one season. It's really compelling and really interesting and I do occasionally binge watch when I take the time to actually do something other than show prep. So we'll talk to him at the bottom of the hour. I want to go to Salmon. Selleyville, is it? Selleyville, Delaware. Hello, Sam. Welcome to the show. What's on your mind today?
Caller Sam
Yeah, when you and Mary were talking about books like Biden and Kamala and Jill.
Rob Carson
Yeah.
Caller Sam
Years ago, before I went to work for Department of Defense, I used to.
Caller Jason/Bill
Work for recovery firms.
Caller Sam
And you know, I was a cpa. I still am. And I so I went to work for a recovery firm and what we do is we, we get people's contracts and we tell them, you know, corporations and we'll tell them if we can't find any heirs in your contracts and get money back for you you don't pay for anything. You don't. You don't pay for our travel or anything.
Rob Carson
Okay.
Caller Sam
And that usually gets us the job. And at one point, they sent me to Random House in Westminster, Maryland.
Rob Carson
Really?
Caller Sam
And I was just getting ready to start the audit, and I was talking to the payables manager, and it was just around the time that Bill and Hillary Clinton's books came out.
Rob Carson
Yes.
Caller Sam
And I said to him, do you really think you're going to make 6 million and 4 million on those two books? Because that's what it was out in the news, that. That's the advances they got.
Rob Carson
Yeah.
Caller Sam
And he said to me, we might. We might get close to the 6 million of bill, but we're definitely going to lose money on Hillary. And he said, it's not. We do that for the status of writing their books for the. Or publishing their books for them. But he said, we make the money back on F. Scott Turow and David Baldacci and the leadership of Random House. And most book companies want to do this for the politicians.
Tom Cotton
They'll.
Caller Sam
They'll make donations when they're campaigning, and when they retire, they. They give them a big advance, knowing they're not going to get it back.
Rob Carson
But. But don't they. Let me ask you this, but don't they also. Aren't there the political groups that will buy up books to fluff the numbers, the sales numbers?
Caller Sam
He didn't mention that, but I imagine there are.
Rob Carson
Yeah, it happens.
Caller Sam
They want them to look better, but, yeah, they do.
Rob Carson
There are. There are packs that buy books to fluff the numbers. There are. I wonder. I wonder how many real books that Kamala Harris, the failed presidential campaign candidate, with her book 100 Days of Failure. I wonder how many books she actually sold.
Caller Sam
Well, it's probably a couple hundred thousand or more, but I doubt pay more than that.
Rob Carson
All right, bro, well, listen, I gotta run. Thanks for the phone call, Jason. Columbia, South Carolina. What's on your mind today, Jason? Did Jason drop off? Huh? What?
Caller Jason/Bill
Hey, I'm here.
Rob Carson
I'm here. Jason, what's going on, man?
Caller Jason/Bill
Yeah, hey, sorry I missed the call initially.
Rob Carson
Go ahead. I've been listening to you for about 20.
Caller Jason/Bill
Yeah, you've said about 100 patently false things the past 20 minutes, bubba.
Rob Carson
Boy, I knew you were a serial caller. Bill in Southern Delaware. Hello, Bill. Welcome to the Rob Carson Show.
Caller Jason/Bill
Hey, Rob, I haven't talked to you in a while. Fantastic show as usual.
Rob Carson
Thank you.
Caller Jason/Bill
Listen, you know, I want to say something. I am. I am for everything Trump is doing. I really am. Everybody I know is for what Trump is doing. But I just want to say something rad.
Rob Carson
What's that?
Caller Jason/Bill
A couple weeks ago, when Trump addressed the nation, he said he's going to help the people of Venezuela with the oil that they would get. Yes, that's a great idea. But I wish Trump on top of that, would have been the icing on the cake if he would have said, look, we're also going to take some of that money and help the American people also, because it's massive, massive disposal, disgusting fraud that they're seeing just in Minnesota. And I would bet my life that that's a drop in the bucket that they're.
Rob Carson
Oh, of course it is. Well, Bill, what I propose it, and I don't know if Donald Trump has really explained what he's going to do with the money. The oil revenue, they're giving him 30 to 50 million barrels of oil. I suggested an oil dividend once things settle down. And we can assure that the Venezuelan people get the money, make sure that they get it, because they've lived in poverty and misery. Could you imagine what a check for $1,000 would do for the average Venezuelan? Be a drop of the bucket, wouldn't it, bro?
Caller Jason/Bill
Yeah, absolutely. I want to say one more thing.
Rob Carson
Yeah.
Caller Jason/Bill
I'm on a construction site, moving around a little bit. One more thing, Rob, and that is this, that, you know, knowing that there's so many illegals, so many illegals in Minnesota.
Christian Toto
Right.
Caller Jason/Bill
I mean, that's a fact. Right? So doesn't that mean that Tim Waltz election is illegitimate and Jacob Fry's election is illegitimate? And the other thing is, where's the handcuff, dude? So many people that I work with and just everybody I talk to are so disgusted. So disgusted. They love what Trump's doing.
Rob Carson
Love it.
Caller Jason/Bill
They love the guy. They love his brashness. They love how bold he is. Love everything he's doing. But where's the handcuffs he is about to get?
Rob Carson
I know it's a process, not an event, and I understand your impatience. I completely. Because I've got it, too. Yeah.
Caller Jason/Bill
Amazing.
Rob Carson
I believe in this man. I believe in this man because he suffered so much. Anyone else, dude, Anyone else in world history get shot in the ear while you're giving a speech? You'd be like, I'm done. I'm out. I'm going to Mar a Lago. See you. Good luck. Right?
Caller Jason/Bill
Yeah.
Rob Carson
It's an extraordinary human being. Hang on, bro. That's all I gotta say. I keep hearing from People. I heard my friend Grant Stinchfield tell me the other day he has friends on the inside and he says that accountability is coming and it's got to happen. And by God, if there's nobody above the law. And by the way, these are Democrats. Democrats, including Hillary Clinton. Nobody's above the law.
Military Analyst
No one is above the law. No one is above the law.
Rob Carson
Nobody is above the law.
General King
No one is above the law.
Rob Carson
No one is above the law. Nobody is above the law. No one is above the law. No one is above the law. No one is above the law.
Caller Jason/Bill
No one is above the law.
Military Analyst
No one is above the law.
Rob Carson
If you truly believe that, then that means Bill and Hillary should spend some time.
Caller Jason/Bill
I hope it happens before the midterms, I swear.
Rob Carson
Me too, bro. I want to see, I want to tease. Tim Vaults marched out of the governor's mansion in shackles. I think that'd be glorious. That would make my day. Thanks for the call, bro. Appreciate you. Love me some Delaware, baby. Love me some Delaware. One of these days I'm gonna get a tiny house or I'm gonna park an Airstream trailer in Sussex County. That's where I'm gonna get it. And I'm gonna head up there and then I'll go to the boardwalk in Rehoboth and I'm gonna get some boardwalk fries and some, some Grotto pizza. And I'm gonna live the life. I'm gonna live the life up there in Delaware. Delaware is Iowa meets the ocean. You gotta go there. It's something else. I know it sounds boring. It's actually pretty cool. Let's take a break and come back. Christian Toto from Hollywood in Toto comes up next. Don't go anywhere. Hey guys, it's Carson for Relief Vector. You know, I saw an ad for Relief Factor a while back and I saw a guy literally in tears with how he talked about the pain that he was experienced was gone. It happened to me too. Oprah Winfrey (referenced)
All these years I thought I was overeating. I was standing there with all the food noise, what I ate, what I should eat, how many calories was that? How long was it going to take? I thought that that was because of me and my fault. Now I understand that if you carry the obesity gene, if that is what you have, that is what makes you overeat. You don't overeat and become obese. Obesity causes you to overeat. Obesity causes you to have all of that food noise. And what the GLP1s have done for me and I know a number of other people is to quiet that noise.
Rob Carson
Yeah, I'm not so sure Oprah is the person I want to listen to on weight loss advice. You know, I'm just saying, I'm just saying she's, you know, she's gotten so good at yo yo dieting. She's doing tricks, you know, walk the dog, butterfly, things like that. Christian Toto, Hollywood in tota. How are you, my friend?
Christian Toto
I'm good, thanks for having me.
Rob Carson
So she's doing the GLPs. A lot of people would be doing the GLPs if you had a you it's gulp, by the way. But the GLPs apparently are pretty miraculous. I know this is Hollywood related. Certainly Oprah is. And one of the big stories of her entire life is her, you know, pension for gaining weight. Losing weight. We all do it, bro. I did it when I moved here, got divorced And I gained 15 pounds. I hate myself. But what do you think about Oprah Winfrey and her latest weight loss jag?
Christian Toto
Well, I hate to disagree with the Oprah, but Jillian Michaels was talking on a different show recently about how the amount of Americans who are either obese or overweight in the maybe early 1970s was around 7%. It was a very low number. I don't remember the exact figures. And then today it was around 70 or some extremely high number. That's only in 30, 40 years.
Rob Carson
Well, you know what else? Go ahead.
Christian Toto
Yeah, I don't think that our biology has changed in that last 40 plus years.
Rob Carson
Well, let me, let me explain something to you. A calorie is a unit of heat, which is a unit of energy. And your body burns the amount of calories, a certain amount of calories to keep everything going. And if you eat more than that amount of calories, it's going to be stored as fat. That's just the way it is now. It is a real B word to, you know, not eat a lot. Listen, I remember back in the 80s when I was a teenager and well before I, you know, had eating issues, you know, Dexatrim and all of these, you know, whatever and you know, try whatever to do and then it moves on to whatever. And then, then they started replacing stuff with fake stuff. So fake sugar, a dozen different kinds of fake sugar. Fat free this, fat free that. And guess what we did. We got fatter. And you know what they're saying now? This is something I've been saying literally for 30 years. Life's too short for fake cheese. And fat free cheese. Eat real stuff. Just eat less of it. GLPs apparently help you eat less of it.
Christian Toto
Yeah, listen, weight is very, very complicated. The temptations. I do the food shopping in my family. Just walking to the aisles is brutal. There are so many things that want to throw in the cart and devour when I get home. I get it. And listen, there are people who are severely overweight and they're struggling and I don't know, I think these weight losses drugs may be their last line of hope. I don't know.
Rob Carson
I think so too. I think so too. Hey, listen, it's better than a gastric bypass, for God's sake. That's horrific. A gastric bypass where your stomach is made the size of a thimble and if you eat one gram too much, you throw up all of it. I mean, listen how nuts we've gotten on this liposuction. This, maybe this, it's just not easy. What I'm doing is I'm really looking at labels and making sure that if it's got more than 10 ingredients on the label or artificial colors, it's gone. I just don't do it. That's just what I got to do.
Christian Toto
So, yeah, I've been doing that too in last few years. It wasn't a major life choice. It just seemed like the right thing to do. And I, I Think you can't go wrong that way.
Rob Carson
Did you watch Pluribus? I'll bet you didn't have.
Christian Toto
And I've been so.
Rob Carson
You don't listen to me at all. Damn it.
Christian Toto
I listen to my wife too. So, I mean, sadly, it's all right.
Rob Carson
That's all right, that's all right. I want to share something with you I thought was funny. American hotspot slapped with the worst tourist designation in a new global analysis. Where do you suppose it is? I'll tell you right now. It's in California.
Christian Toto
Oh, Hollywood. LA LA Land.
Rob Carson
Hollywood Walk of Fame. Listen, anything that has a Ripley's Believe it or not museum on it, it's not going to be the highest class place in the world.
Christian Toto
What a shock.
Rob Carson
They say that located 23 miles from the airport, the Sidewalk of Fame is the lowest Google ratings because of a couple of things. It's pricey, it's not safe. A lot of homeless people. I've been down there many, many times. I broadcast from there. And I've been from the Roosevelt Hostel. I've stayed there and I've been right there. Man's Chinese Theater and down to the Oscars a number of times. And everything in LA is smaller and smellier than it looks on television.
Christian Toto
That's a great advertising. Smaller and smellier. Come see us.
Rob Carson
But it's gotten worse. It has gotten worse, hasn't it? Yeah.
Christian Toto
What hasn't gotten worse? In society today? We are the frog in the boiling pot of water. I think they keep turning up the heat very slowly and we don't seem to kick and scream.
Tom Cotton
I don't know why.
Rob Carson
Absolutely. I'm looking at Hollywood in toto. You've got a bunch of things in the entertainment world and it doesn't look like any of them are good this week. You're looking at the 28 years later. I don't know. Tell me about that.
Christian Toto
Yeah, you know, obviously it's the ongoing saga with 28 days later. That was about 20 plus years ago.
Rob Carson
Yeah, I know, I know. Equal.
Christian Toto
Last year I thought it was mostly successful. It kind of, you know, brought that franchise back from the grave, so to speak. No pun intended.
Rob Carson
Yeah.
Christian Toto
This new one is getting raves on Rotten Tomatoes and even the Critical Drinker.
Rob Carson
Really?
Christian Toto
I think he liked it. I watched the beginning of his episode and he seemed to be a fan. I just don't get it. I enjoy the last film. I love zombie movies. This is. This is like has me written all over it, but I found it disjointed, clumsy, I didn't care about any characters. There wasn't any real development. And people are reading profound thoughts into this movie. I was staring, looking, examining it. I just couldn't see it. Like the same old, oh, humanity is even more. More evil than the zombies. That kind of thing.
Rob Carson
Yeah. Also, you said, wake us up from dreamy sound of falling. What's that all about?
Christian Toto
Yeah, you know, this one is a contributor, Barry Worth, to that review. It's a. It's a very artsy film. It sounds like it's very interesting and different and maybe something kind of, you know, not the usual cookie cutter story following this family over a bunch of years. But it also reminds me a lot of the movie here with Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, which was a real clunker from a year or two ago where it's basically looking at one scene in a house. So, yeah, my guest critic didn't like it that much. It seemed like one you'd really want to avoid. Maybe catch on streaming one day. That's about it.
Rob Carson
Yeah. I noticed that the Golden Globe ratings were once again down. I thought Nikki Glaser is a hot be. Funny not enough to save the Golden Gloves.
Christian Toto
Yeah, I don't think it was. I don't think it was her finest hour either. I agree on both counts. Active. And I think she's very, very sharp, smart, very funny, very sophisticated, edgy at times. You know, listen, you're reaching out to the Hollywood community. You're not really reaching out to America. And so a lot of the jokes were kind of aimed in that direction, you know, poking fun at CBS News dare they want to actually have some balance to them, that kind of a thing. So, yeah, it's. It is what it is. And I didn't know how the ratings don't drop even more than they actually do.
Rob Carson
You know, there is. I don't know about you. I think you're a fellow Gen Xer like me. I've never understood Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass movies. Even when I was much younger, I always thought they were pretty stupid. And only movies you notice. You ever notice that women never make Jackass movies? But he's got Jackass 5 coming out here. Johnny Knoxville says he's way over my limit for concussions after announcing Jackass 5. And then he's got that new series. It's an upgrade of Fear Factor. Did you see that?
Christian Toto
Yeah, I know. It's coming soon. You know, he seems like an affable guy who's made a career. I know, unique spin on Hollywood and I don't get it either. Listen, I'm not a, I'm not a princess. I don't, I can, I can really appreciate rough and tumble comedy. I don't mind slapstick. There's something about those movies that just doesn't work for me who love them.
Rob Carson
Putting a giant bungee cord on either side of an outhouse that's full of human feces and strapping a human being into it. I just don't think it's funny.
Christian Toto
It's not fine art, that's for sure, but there's enough people doing it. But listen, Johnny needs to be very careful because he's risked death a lot. Like you mentioned, the concussion issue, that, that, that ain't nothing, man. I hope he retires after this movie for his.
Rob Carson

But I want to tell you right now why precious metal investment in 2026. For the past year, the price of gold was sitting at $2,700. Last year at this time, $2700 an ounce. Today I looked at it. What was it at? 4,588 with gold in particular. Reading from this article from CBS News, There are also central banks around the world to consider. For the last several years, central banks have been buying gold in droves, which is a good sign for investors who are eyeing it. Over the past decade, ending in 2024, central banks increased their gold holdings by roughly 21%. And from 2022 to 2024, central banks added 1,000 tons of gold per year on average, a pace well above historical norms. It's becoming more precious. You see the precious. And so if you don't have it in your portfolio, I would recommend doing that because I don't think your 401k has performed like this. Going from 2,700 to nearly $4,600, that kind of grant, that's like what, 40, 40%? Pretty gigantic. Pretty gigantic. Until the 30th of this month. Birch Gold. If you're a first time home gold buyer, I should say you will get up to $10,000 on qualifying purchase of gold. Okay, so if you want to get the ball rolling again, just text my name to Rob to nine eight nine. Just go right there in the text, put in the number 989-898 in the body of the text Rob. You'll get a response and then you'll get a text and they'll get in touch with you. And then you'll get a phone call going. There's no obligation. But I would suggest considering the price of gold and how much it's gone up meteorically, every day that ticks away is a day that you're not making money with gold. So text my name, Rob to 989-898. Rob to 989-898 for Birch Golden. Remember, $10,000 for qualifying purchases as a rebate by the end of this month, which is the 30th, which is flying by pretty quickly. Here's something kind of interesting. You know, I think you grew up with vinyl records, right? I grew up with vinyl records. Then cassettes and then CDs and now MP3s, you betcha. Taylor Swift Life of the Showgirl album is helping to, to help vinyl sales in the United States continue to climb. I go to Walmart, right? I go to Walmart, I go to Best Buy. It's Not. It's not like back in the day when you had, you know, album stores, but there's a lot of out. There's a lot of vinyl out there. A lot of classic vinyl like Prince, Purple Rain, a lot of Pink Floyd, the Wall, but also new stuff too.
Christian Toto
It's amazing. And I thought it was a fluke. Maybe five, ten years ago I started hearing about this where albums were making a comeback of sorts. I thought it may be kind of a hipster. A hipster choice and that was it. But yeah, it's enduring and it flies in the face of common sense in a way because we can get everything digitally. But people love that sound. It's a warm sound.
Rob Carson
Yes.
Christian Toto
The audio files describe it as such. I don't disagree. And I just. This, the COVID art and the feeling, the tactile nature of it is special. And I'm actually really curious how young people connect with it besides anything, any sort of audio sensibility. Do they enjoy the fact that it's in their hand? They can look at it. They can kind of read the liner notes and stuff. I don't know.
Rob Carson
Well, we all know the. The album. I mean, I grew up with the album. You, you, you listen to the album experience not so often. Was an album great back to, you know, beginning to end. The, you know, Pink Floyd, Dark side of the Moon. Perfect record. Perfect record. And there it rushed 2112. I'm dating myself here. But, you know, Princess Purple Rain was pretty perfect record. Can you think of any others?
Christian Toto
Oh, gosh, you choose. War, I think is pretty.
Rob Carson
Oh, yes. Oh yes.
Christian Toto
Pristine from start to finish as well. But you're right. But listen, it doesn't mean that the album isn't great. I mean, there's always a clunker or two. That's okay, actually. Oddly makes it more special. Maybe you go back and re. Appreciate something that you thought was just not worth your time. Maybe it is now as you get older. So it's. It's amazing. I just think that kind of listening, like an album side, the way the songs roll together, there's something magical about that too. The way one track goes to another track to another. The way an album starts and where it ends. It's almost like a lyrical nature to it.
Rob Carson
Yeah, it's pretty cool. It's pretty awesome. And the album cover, I mean, you know, we remember album covers and album cover. You always look for the album cover. Album cover is a big deal. Especially like, you know, remember the. The in Spinal Tap when they decided to go with just a black cover. Remember that?
Christian Toto
Is that none more black?
Rob Carson
Exactly. All right, Christian, that's going to do it, man. I appreciate you being on the show today. Where can people check out your podcast and all the other stuff you do?
Christian Toto
Well, it's all about Hollywood in Toto. T o T o. You can punch it in YouTube. You'll find my podcast there. Or just go to Hollywoodintoto.com.
Rob Carson
All right, I appreciate you. Thanks for the phone call and have a glorious weekend. Alrighty, what do we want to cover here? Before we go to the break? Let's cover a new piece of comedy from Jim Gossett about the insurrection in Minneapolis with Donald Trump singing. For those of you who grew up with Schoolhouse Rock, you'll appreciate this.
Rob Carson (show intro)
Minnesota is a big mess.
Ted Cruz
A problem.
Rob Carson (show intro)
Tampon Tim water my new direction.
Rob Carson
Get ready, guys.
Rob Carson (show intro)
My latest election is to declare an insurrection.
Rob Carson
Insurrection Act.
Rob Carson (show intro)
Voke it. Don't voke it. Send the military and tell Tampon Tim to take a hike. Insurrection Act. We need it now.
Rob Carson
Come on.
Rob Carson (show intro)
Ice is doing their job well. Yes, they are. Minnesota's gone straight to hell. It's out of control. It's taken a toll. That's the definition of insurrection. Insurrection activated. Chickle heated gimbals being put in cups is something that we'd like to see. Lock them up and throw away the key.
Rob Carson
That would be nice, wouldn't it? It would be nice to see some accountability. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show. I don't do enough listener viewer mail. I get a lot of notes and I appreciate that. I just don't. I don't really do them as much as I should. Here's a delightful one from Tina. Rob, it's beyond words that you and President Trump are each uniquely qualified. Do exactly what each of you are doing. Such precision. Extraordinary genius. Both ordained exponentially. Can you. Can you figure out why I shared this one? What you do is at the highest possible level of possible and impossible. Just such exquisite insight. Facts and delivery and results. Thank you. Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck were discovered at age 37. I didn't get discovered until 54. And guess what today is? My six year anniversary. Six years ago, I was still selling cars and I got discovered by a man named Chris Ruddy of Newsmax. And he saved me. And then God saved me. By the way, get a Newsmax plus membership. Honestly, you gotta. You gotta watch Newsmax in prime time. It's. Anytime is great, but I watch in the morning. Then I watch Schmidt Infinity and. And Greg Kelly And Carl Higby, it's just so good and true to form. And Chris Ruddy is a star maker and brilliant man. Six years, guys. Six years. Six years I've been with Newsmax Incorporated. 54 years old, I was discovered by Chris Ruddy. I was a wretched drunk man selling cars and he saw something and he gave me a shot. I tell you what, I'll never be able to repay him. Hi, Rob. Congratulations on your work anniversary. Your dedication and success are truly commendable. How do you balance health, well being and mindset with the current role? Do you have any special practices or returns that keep you at your best? Dude, you know, I am beginning to be more solid, you know, solid on solid ground. I really thought I was on my way and then my wife threw a divorce at me and my family kind of, you know, fell apart. And that was really hard. And the last year has been really, really hard. It is really hard. But I never gave up. Every day I make my bed. That's an interesting thing. Every day I make my bed. I've got control over that. I focus on my mental, physical and spiritual self. Every day I say a prayer before bed. And I am blessed enough that I do what I do for a living. For the first time in most of my adult life, I'm doing what I do for a living. And I know the reason why I'm doing it is because we arrived here together. We arrived here together. Those of you who have been with me for six years, I know, you know, you've seen the progression. You've seen what's happened. We went through this all together, and we're all in this together. We're all in this together. You know, I. I slip. I gained a few pounds when I got here. I'm still working out, but I would say every day, listen to some music, be grateful for what you have. I put a video on social media this morning and I said, you know, for as much as maybe you have rough things today, I'll bet you Scott Adams would change places with you if he could. Right? Right? Yeah. So God bless him. God bless you, America's founder, Donald Trump, and what he's doing for this country. And to hell with the. The people who are doing a death spiral in the hell, the Democrat Party and what I watch my TV show, Rob Carson's what in the World this weekend, Sunday night, 8:30 on Newsmax. And until Monday, do not catch the stupid. I love you guys. Thank you for everything. I can't thank you enough.
