Show in America on air and on the World Wide Web. This is the Rob Carson Show. This is the Rob Carson Show. Hour number two. Hour number one was pretty darn hot. Pretty darn hot. A lot of stuff going on. Investigations of Barack Obama weaponizing the DOJ against Donald Trump. 30 subpoenas issued in Florida. So finally, the feces is hitting the fan. Investigation resumed of Hillary Clinton and her crooked charity. That never did anything good for anybody but made the Clintons rich. And they got. They got $150 million from Russian oligarchs, for God's sake. Right after the Uranium One deal, the Clintons, I mean, I swear to God, it is. It is just remarkable. Remarkable and not surprising at all, by the way. And they say the government shutdown is going to end in a day or two. So that's good news. And I am so sorry for those of you who had to suffer without a paycheck and those of you who went to work without a paycheck, thank you for what you do. I know a lot of the times we, we, you know, like to tease TSA agents and, you know, all of that, but, you know, you do. You do a job that I wouldn't want to do and to show up for work, even when you're not getting paid, you owe a lot, certainly you guys in the control towers. Donald Trump's talking about giving you a $10,000 bonus for staying in the control tower. And I say, hell, yeah, why not? Why not? Why not? So anyway, that's. That's going on, this kind of. I saw this report this morning on, you know, the Democrats, they like to say that they care about the American people and all this, but you remember when Joe Biden was the president and we opened the southern border wholesale to anybody who wanted to come across, even if they were murderous, and there was no doubt about it at all. Venezuela emptied their prisons into the United States. Trinidad. Had you ever heard of trend before Joe Biden was the president? No, you didn't? Then they. They set up camp in places like Colorado and New York City, and crime rates went through the ceiling and. And you were told that you couldn't go send your kid to school and your business couldn't open because of COVID You had to wear stupid masks to work every day. What? Ridiculous. Just utterly ridiculous. Now we find out, apparently, apparently, while Joe Biden was the president, Illegal aliens. I can say that now without being censored. Illegal aliens. Were given a whole lot more on their SNAP benefits than American citizens. C each migrant will get approximately $12.52 per day to purchase food and baby supplies. But that's about 40% more than what the average low income American got per day in government food stamps or snap benefits in 2022 at $7.59. Well, that is amazing. That's in New York City. They were given 60% more to illegals because they wanted to load up the illegals with free stuff. Because, you know, if you're coming from, you know, Hell Hole Central and you go to the United States and somebody give, you know, $5,000 on a, on a Visa card or, you know, $5,000 on a SNAP card, it's like heaven, baby. You're going to vote Democrat the rest of your damn life even if it's legal and not legal. I should say. Yeah, yeah. That's how the Democrat Party, that's what they think about you. And unfortunately they're, they're shut down and the government did not work. Oh, I want to mention this. Jasmine Crock is not a very smart person. I don't know if you knew this. She's kind of a dim wit. D E M wit. She's very concerned about a voting machine company being purchased by I guess somebody who's affiliated with Donald Trump. And I'm just going to play the sound bite. The voting machine company is called Dominion. But listen, it's not. It's about her pronunciation. Here's how dim she is.
C
We do know that one of his friends has purchased Dominion. So it's going to be really important for us to educate all states that we can to make sure that their Secretary of States are like, we don't want the Dominion machines.
A
Yeah. You know what those Dominion machines believe, boy?
C
That that ally purchased Dominions. Dominion potentially play with the machines because we know that they're trying to cheat by changing the lines for the midterms. And I think that they're trying to solidify their cheap position.
A
Yeah, you don't want to have anything to do with those Dominion machines. So fantastic. So fantastic. I, I found this this morning on the Interweb talking about Obamacare and how Obamacare did nothing but enrich insurance companies. Bernie Marino spoke to an empty chamber all the Democrats had left and he brought up some facts about all of the money from Obamacare that didn't make your health care cheaper, but made a lot of insurance executives who give a lot of money to Democrats. A lot of money.
D
If you're a union Worker in my state, Ohio?
A
Yes.
D
Do these Biden Obamacare Covid era subsidies lower their health costs?
A
Absolutely not.
D
If you're somebody on Medicare, no matter where you are in America, do these Covid era Biden Obamacare subsidies lower your deductibles?
A
Absolutely not.
D
If you get private insurance through a small business like the one I used to own, yeah. Do these Biden era Covid subsidies lower your health care costs?
A
Does nothing to benefit those people you're describing.
D
If you're unfortunately somebody who is having a tough time and you're on Medicaid, you're disabled children.
E
Yeah.
D
Do these Biden era Covid subsidies lower your deductibles or your out of pocket costs?
A
No. Well, the nation's health insurance companies have seen good business since Obamacare was passed in 2010, fully implemented in 2014. This is just the news, by the way. This has come in no small part because the federal government subsidies to the insurance industry, which government now estimates total $1.8 trillion in 2023 alone.
D
So none of the people I just mentioned, not union workers, not people on Medicare, not people on Medicaid, not people on private insurance, not unions that negotiated incredible rates, none of them will see lower health care costs. Am I accurate in that?
A
You're absolutely accurate.
F
Wow.
A
Just the news. Analysis of public financial records from four of the nation's largest health insurance companies found that net earnings ballooned about 216% from 2010 to 2024. UnitedHealth Group in particular, which dominates the industry with a market share of 15%, saw the largest explosion of profits. The other three companies, Elements Sentient and Cigna, also experienced a marked growth in net earnings after the implementation of Obamacare. The healthcare legislation was also a boon. These companies stock prices. One study found the weighted average of these health Insurance stocks rose 1,000% from 2010 when the law passed and 448% from 2013, the year the legislation's key provisions were implemented. This performance far outstripped the most popular S&P 500 exchange traded fund, which grew 251 and 139%, respectively. This is better than Nancy Pelosi. My God in heaven. Donald Trump put out on truth. Democrats claim to be working for the little guy driving down your health insurance. But the Obamacare scam goes right straight to their best friends in the insurance industry. They are making a killing while coverage only gets worse. And I know this because I just tried to get insurance and I ended up, I told you I went with this faith based healthcare sharing which, by the way, blown away. Blown away by how the service is unbelievable. And they have the thing where, you know, I'm paying like 500 bucks a month. I'll just tell you 500 bucks a month. And if I, you know, go in my blood work and they show everything is rocking and rolling, cholesterol is low and all that, I can save $100. And if I went through regular insurance, $900 12, almost $12,000 a year just for me with a $7,000 deductible and I'm healthy. If Democrats get their way again, they're in for a huge payday at the expense of the American people. No deal. Republicans could should give money directly to personal health savings accounts that I expand with our great big beautiful bill. That's what Donald Trump said. Here's more from Bernie Mori, who stands.
D
To gain by the federal government writing a check for $26 billion to do what the Democrats want in order to open the people's government.
A
Well, insurance companies most directly. And there will be law.
D
But just to be clear, the money goes directly.
A
Yes.
D
To the insurance company.
A
Correct.
D
It doesn't go through the pocket of the consumer. So if I, if, for example, I want to go find a doctor that's going to offer treatment for less money because my deductible is too high.
A
This.
D
Doesn'T help me because I'm not getting the money, it's going to go to the insurance company.
E
Correct.
D
And Senator, you're so smart on this topic and you're, you're the chairman of the Health, Education, labor and Pensions Committee, is that true?
A
Correct.
D
Who was the previous chairman?
A
Bernie Sanders.
D
Bernie Sanders.
A
Bernie Sanders has four houses. Did you know that? He's a socialist. United Health care group contributed $742,000 to Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, dwarfing the 158,000 received by Trump. Individuals associated with Sent in contributed 225,000 to Harris, 22,000 to Trump. It's a form of corruption. It's a form of corporate welfare to very profitable insurance companies. Has to go. This, according to Representative Marionette Miller Meeks of Iowa. More importantly, it doesn't bring down health care costs. It may take it more, make it more affordable for one person, but it doesn't have any incentive for insurance companies to bring down health care costs. About a third of all subsidized Obamacare health plans go unused by the insured, meaning these plans translate into pure profits for the health insurance companies. President Joe Biden signed into law a bill that enhanced the Obamacare subsidies broadly as an emergency measure, which opened the door for such over coverage. It also raised the qualifying income cap for tax credits to 400% of the poverty level. 40% of these policies have never had a single claim applied to them. It's amazing. It shows that they are phantom policies. People aren't using them. They aren't making Americans healthier. Instead, they're just checks written to insurance companies. This is why Donald Trump wants to do this. And this would be competition.
B
I hope that we're going to be able to have a health care where Lindsey and I were discussing it, Jim and I were discussing it, and Katie, we discussed it. We want a health care system where we pay the money to the people instead of the insurance companies. And I tell you, we're going to be working on that very hard over the next short period of time. Where the people get the money. We're talking about trillions and trillions of dollars. Where the people get the money.
A
Yes, please, that would make sense. And also, by the way, then they could shop around. They can go to the insurance company and say, hey, here's the deal, you know, and the insurance company have to say, all right, well, if I want to get your business, I've got to play. I've got to play. The expansion during the Obama or the Biden administration often resulted in federal taxpayers footing the bill for all, nearly all premium costs for silver and bronze plans as well as gold plans. Large insurers benefit greatly from phantom enrollment as they collect billions of taxpayer dollars to cover individuals without costing anything. The data shows that nearly 12 million enrollees, about 35% of all people enrolled in the Obamacare exchange, are actually zero claim enrollees. This means that their health coverage did not translate into actual healthcare. You got hosed. We've been getting completely, totally, completely bent over and, you know, taken advantage of. Unbelievable. But does it come as surprise, does it, does it come as a surprise to anyone? And then, of course, Donald Trump, what they, what they really wanted to do and what they did, you know, is provided healthcare for elite. Again. This is another perk, like the, you know, 60% more for food stamps in 2022 in New York City because they wanted to keep illegals there. They did the same thing with health care. Major cash cow. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show. Poor little Democrats. Are you guys okay today? I came in to check on you. Every time Trump does something good, you guys see fast out. Would you guys shut up and let him work.
D
Bernie Sanders was chairman when again, just to be clear, for last Congress, which would have been through 2024.
A
Yeah, he's for two years.
D
And the Biden era Obamacare subsidies were made extended in 22, is that correct?
A
Correct.
G
I think that's right.
D
To expire in 25.
A
It was fired in 25.
D
So who voted for the expiration date of 2025?
A
Not Republicans, rather Democrats.
D
So just to be clear, the Democrats voted to have these subsidies expired this year, Correct?
A
Correct.
D
To your knowledge, was there a hearing last year in 2024 in which the Democrats got together and say, whoa, these Biden era Covid Obamacare subsidies, we set them to expire in 25, we should really make them permanent or extend them. Was there a single hearing in your committee about that topic?
A
There was not. Now you know the reason why the shutdown took place. It was meant to hobble the Trump economy. It was 2025's version of COVID That's what they wanted to do. They're doing anything to turn you against Donald Trump. The subsidies were scheduled to expire. They voted to let them expire. And all of a sudden it became a big deal when they decided and they tried to get another $1.5 trillion out of us, tried to extort $1.5 trillion out of US so illegals could get health care, among other things. That's what it really was all about, guys. That's what it was really all about. It was all a false flag event.
B
Well, the country loses a lot of money when they do this and they're not getting much, but nobody gets a lot of. But it's terrible. What they really wanted was one and a half trillion dollars for people that came in illegally, people that came in through and out of prisons. You know, we had like Venezuela. They emptied, they dumped their prisons.
A
That was all exaggerated.
B
Oh yeah, I know it's exaggerated. They wanted one and a half trillion for health care from people that were in some cases, 11,888 exactly. Murderers, many of whom murdered more than one people person. So they came in.
A
Your Democrat party really cares about you. Really, really cares about you. Here's Elon Musk was interviewed by Joe Rogan last week talking about the, the Democrats in this $1.5 trillion. What they've done with health care. It's a massive slush fund to keep illegals here voting Democrat.
H
They were also giving out like debit cards with $10,000. So it's not just about medical care. The Democrats mention the medical care because they're trying to prey on people's empathy as much as possible. And then they imagine, oh wow, somebody has a desperately needed medical procedure and shouldn't we maybe do, you know, take care of them in that regard? But what they do is they divert the Medicaid funds and turn it into a slush fund for the states that goes well beyond emergency medical care. And New York and California would be bankrupt without, without the massive fraudulent federal payments that go to those states to pay for illegals.
A
Wow. I told you. You know, for the four years of Joe Biden, they, they raided the treasury, they, they emptied out the vaults for illegals and for their cronies. And certainly we've already seen that with the major insurance companies health premiums gone through the ceiling, but they've made a fortune off of our tax dollars without it impacting the price at all. They've actually. They've increased our premiums by what, three, three times? Four times. Yeah. You totally got screwed, man. Unbelievable. I don't like to do deep dives on this stuff because I have the attention span of a fruit fly. But. But I do. I do. And it causes me to focus on things like this. And I don't think there's any other show that's bringing it together like this today. I don't think there are. Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing a radical activist organization for unlawfully registering illegals to vote in Texas. Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the radical open borders group Jolt for its role in orchestrating a systematic unlawful voter registration scheme that is designed to sabotage Texas election integrity and allow illegals to vote. And it's happening in California because they don't pursue charges of illegal voting in California. They do not. It is a stand down order across the board. They don't care. They will not investigate a single instance of voter fraud in California. That's. That is a. An order from the top. JOLT is a radical partner partisan operation that has and continues to knowingly attempt to corrupt voter rolls and weaken the voice of lawful Texas voters. An investigation by the Office of Attorney General uncovered that JOLT operatives were stationed outside the Texas Department of Motor Vehicle locations. They were providing instructions that directed violated provisions of the Texas Election Code. JOLT and its volunteer deputy registrars correct and coordinated the scheme to recruit and solicit individuals to submit unlawful voter registration applications which could be designed to register illegals who lack proper identification. This is why they don't ask for identification. It's racist. Right? Because they want illegals to vote and they know that illegals will vote for Democrats, here is Brit Hume talking. Brit whom? Brit Hume talking about the fool's errand that was the government shutdown.
E
Well, this whole shutdown was a fool's errand from the start. This strategy has been tried a number of times. But before where you try to use the government shutdown and the pressure to get the government reopened as a lever to get something done, you couldn't, you couldn't get done by the normal process.
A
It was for extortion and to hurt the Trump economy.
E
Didn't have the votes. It has never worked. It was never going to work.
A
They tried to pin the expiration of the, the Obama era subsidies on Trump, but the Democrats voted for that.
E
And you know the Democrats, yes, there was some polling that indicated that the Democrats were less, were getting less of the blame than the Republicans. But remember this, key elements in the Democratic Party, American association, the American Federation of Government Employees, the Teamsters union, the airline workers union, pilots union and all.
A
They were all, all the unions turned.
E
Against the Democrats urging that the Republicans measured a temporary measure be passed. And of course, as the, it is.
A
A pretty amazing thing when the Teamsters and when the pilots union turn against the Democrat party and look at the Democrat Party as the reason why shutdown happened, there's a lot of pressure on Democrats. You think that Tuesday election last week was some sort of momentum changer for the Trump administration? You're high. Okay. You are absolutely high. We've got much more coming up. Some good news. Good news. We got our winning jingle ready to go because inflation is coming down. Also, Donald Trump is going to sue the BBC for a billion dollars. Don't go anywhere. Hey guys, it's Carson. G
I'm fine, Rob, and thank you so much.
A
It looks like our, our government shutdown is coming to an end. Does that have impacted where you are?
G
Actually, not for a number of reasons. But we've been lucky. Yeah, we've been, we've been very lucky because I know a lot of Americans have suffered because of the shutdown.
A
Yeah. I live in the belly of the beast here in Northern Virginia. And you know, it's, it's real. I commend government workers who went in to work even though they did not get paid, particularly air, air traffic controllers. I mean, you talk about a job that's stressful enough anyway, right?
G
Yes.
A
Yeah.
G
Yeah. So you want those guys to be at their top form all the time?
A
Of course you do. Well, it sounds like Donald Trump is investing in new equipment for air traffic towers. He talked about that yesterday. They're, they're spending a lot of money doing that. And of course, our military is really starting to invest. You, you got the Department of War. It looks like China has responded to that. I noticed on your feed today, on your Twitter feed, China talking about a next gen super carrier and they're excelling construction for it. Is this in response, do you suppose, to, to the change in the war stance of the United States?
G
Well, China has always wanted aircraft carriers and we're going back decades. So I don't think this is in response to President Trump or President Biden or President Trump before him. You know, it just this is China being aggressive because it wants to project power around the world.
A
Well, I saw and heard yesterday that China wants to have a completely modernized army by 2035. So clearly they are making some steps in that direction. I was just curious as to whether or not that may have been magnified by some of the tough talk that Pete Hegseth has been doing and by our, I mean, obviously if they're a world superpower like us and you see what the United States is doing and it is a pretty major Change versus Joe Biden as the President. Recruitment is at an all time high. Going through the ceiling, having to turning, turn away troops, calling it the Department of War. I would assume this sends some chills down the spine of Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin at some point.
G
Oh, well, that's for sure. There's no question that they have taken notice that there's a new sheriff in town. You know, it was like strikes on the Iranian nuclear facilities and taking out the drug boats in the Caribbean. This is really important because it shows that the United States isn't going to put up with very much.
A
Yeah. You mentioned also in your Twitter feed that China is going to dishonor the October 30 trade deal with President Trump. What is going on there? He made some major, major progress with regard earth minerals in several Asian nations. What is China preparing to do and what are they doing?
G
Well, first of all, there is a White House fact sheet dated November 1 which outlines the agreements that were reached on October 30 when Trump and Xi Jinping met in South Korea. Now, you can whatever, however you interpret what the White House wrote, the Chinese now are going to restrict, at least from all the reporting, they're going to restrict or prohibit the sale of rare earths to companies that are involved who are US Military contractors.
F
Wow.
G
That clearly is a violation of any version of the agreement that we have seen because there are a number of versions of the agreement. So really my point was that, look, we negotiated a January 2020 phase one trade deal with China.
B
China.
G
The Chinese immediately violated that. It looks like they're going to violate the October 30th agreement that I just talked about. And so the question that I raised is a simple one. Why are we negotiating with the Chinese when they don't honor their agreements?
A
Yeah, yeah, 100%. Why even, why even bother? I noticed also a headline today. China's car sales have started to slow down quite a bit. They were doing very well. I would imagine they've really made some advancements in the EV technology in the United States. There are companies phasing out EVs. They're talking about getting rid of the Ford F150 Lightning altogether. Do you suppose that is having an impact on Chinese car manufacturing and sales?
G
Couple things. First of all, in China itself, Chinese consumers just can't absorb all of the production of the super efficient Chinese EV factories. And so they have to export abroad. Now they've been able in the last several months to export more, but other countries are starting to resist Chinese imports, such as Brazil, which is a Chinese friend. Earlier this year they put on heavy tariffs on imports of EVs from China. So I think really what we're seeing is the inevitable slowdown in China's sales because they just, they can make the stuff, but they can't sell it either in China or around the world.
A
Yeah. And as we onshore some of these, this manufacturing, it's going to impact them even more. How is China's economy doing right now? You've been talking for a while about the coming collapse of China. You've written books about it. How is their economy doing? And how is Xi Jinping? There was talk that he was essentially kind of a shell leader of China. How is the Chinese Communist Party and Xi doing? And how is the economy in China right now?
G
Well, Xi Jinping is doing a lot better than he looked like several months ago in both the Chinese military and also in Communist Party civilian circles. But we really don't know the true state of play because the regime is even more opaque than it's normally been. But the Chinese economy, your other question, it's not growing at the 4.8% pace that they claimed for the third quarter of this year.
A
Here.
G
When we look at the deflation in China, especially in the factory sector, it suggests that China is not growing or it's not growing very much at all. It's basically hovering around zero either, a little bit below, but it's essentially a stagnant economy.
A
Wow, that's. That's pretty remarkable actually. Our economy's going along about 3 point something percent and accelerating and China's is slowing down. We shall see. Gordon Chang, great to have you on today, my friend. I appreciate you. Where can people find all of your.
G
Glorious work on Twitter or X at Go R D O N G C H A N G And I archive all of my articles for free on my website, which is www.g o r d o n c h a n g dot com.
A
Gordon, I appreciate you have a glorious weekend.
G
Okay, you too. And thank you so much.
A
You bet. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. The Chinese EV sales, that was kind of a big deal. And the they. I just heard this by the way, the other day and you know my, my thoughts on AVs. I don't have a problem with EVs. You can have an EV if you want it. I thought it was ridiculous to invest so much in EVs. EVs cannot subsist without massive subsidies from us. And it's also stupid. You know, I lived in Kansas City and, and you, you buy an ev, supposedly because you environmentally safe and all of this. And the power for that EV to charge that EV is made at a coal fired plant south of town. So it's, it's ridiculous. But yeah, Ford is talking about, I guess discontinuing the F150 Lightning mostly because when you put a trailer on the back of it, the, the mileage goes way down. You can't pull anything with it and it underperforms in cold weather. Other than that it's a great deal. Other than that, it's a great truck. Yeah, okay, whatever. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson show.
B
We much better than normal because we're buying the most sophisticated avionics and you know, technology for our control towers. And we didn't have that. We had a guy named Buttigieg. Boot edge edges is the best way. Just say two edges like off the edge of a cliff, which is where they were taking us by the way. Boot edge edge was the Secretary of Transportation.
A
Yeah, they found that like knob and tube wiring and stuff in America's air traffic control towers. Which makes you kind of wonder what the hell did Pete Buttigieg, why was he even there? What did he do? What did he do as the transportation Secretary? Basically everybody in the Biden administration did nothing. Kamala Harris was the border czar. The border was opened up wholesale. Trojan horse stuffed with our nation's enemies to the tune of 20 million people. Nothing was done. Nothing was done. Anthony Fauci, what did he do other than create a virus, pay for it and unleash it in the country and then force everybody take a vaccine? I mean, what did the, what did the Biden administration do? What did the Biden administration do? The prices went through the ceiling. The price of groceries essentially doubled. The price of homes doubled. The price of mortgages tripled. I have a mortgage in Kansas City at 2.9%. I got that 2005. Six years ago when Donald Trump was the president. There you go. Now they're talking about a 50 year mortgage. Are you nuts? A 50 year mortgage. If I knew I was going to live to be 100 years old, maybe, maybe I don't want to live in a house for 50 years. Do you want to live in a house? Maybe you do, maybe you do. I got friends who've been living in the family house for decades. The house has been in the family for 7,500 years. Most of the time, you know, that, that's fine, you know, but 50 year mortgage, not a good, not A good thing. Financial analysts say longer term loans would increase cumulative interest and potentially drive up home prices. Yeah, this is, to me this is like a 10 year car payment. They've, you know, they extended it 60 and 72 months and you know, cars only last so long and all you're doing is you're paying for a lower payment but you're ended up paying a lot more interest and you're doubling the cost of the car. Trust me, I know. I sold cars. You see, I sold cars. Financial industry Experts responded a 50 year mortgage proposal with skepticism, noting it would likely come with higher interest rate than a traditional 30 year mortgage. True, longer duration would increase cumulative interest. The drawbacks of a 50 year mortgage, other than living in the same house for 50 years is almost double the interest payments of a 30 year mortgage and no longer path to meaningful home equity. You know, listen, I just turned the big six zero. You know, it'd be pushing it right now for me to sign a 30 year mortgage, you know, I mean I, I'd like to be in good health at 90, but you know, usually doesn't end that way. The 6.2, assuming a 6.25% interest rate on a 50 year mortgage and a 30 year mortgage, total interest on a 50 year loan would be $816,000 compared to a 30 year loans interest, $438,000. So you know, you might as well rent, right? You might as well rent. I live in Washington D.C. now where home affordability is nuts. It's nuts. The average price of a home where I live in the Northern Virginia area, $700,000. $700,000. And if you go toward the Potomac in the Alexandria area, start at for a thousand square feet, a million two and it goes up. I walked into a place the other day whenever you see as the real estate sign instead of a century 21 or long and Foster or whatever and it says Sotheby's. Yeah, just be ready, just be ready to do a spit take when they hand you the flyer for the, for the house. So, so it's a brownstone, you know, one of the brownstones near, you know, a block and a half from the Potomac. It's got a one car garage and, and I walk in and I, you know, walk around and it's, it's small, it's got three stories, you know. And they wanted 2.3 million. No, was it 3.2? Might have been 3.2. But I tried to act cool, you know. You're trying to act cool, you're trying to be like, oh yeah, expose. If you want to pay that little for this amount, I'm looking for something much more expensive. And honestly, I couldn't slum it in a $3.2 million house. I mean, come on. In the meantime, inside, I'm going, oh my God, get me out of here. Get me out of here. Don't call me, don't ever call me. Don't even look. I'm trying to be cool. Literally, there's someone walking in. I said, you know, this is nice, but there's no place for my riding lawnmower. And of course, they were liberal, so they didn't the joke. They're like, well, you won't need a riding lawnmower because there's no lawn. I said, you know, I didn't even bother. I should have. I, I didn't say it's a joke. I just kind of let it go. They should know it's a joke. It's no riding lawnmower. Get it, get it, get it? But even 50 years, even 50 years, I am buy a million, whatever house. People who buy those houses, they pay cash for them. Anyway, I think I got some good news. I think it's time to do some good news. Time to get out the winning jingle. Because, yes, the Trump administration is win. We love to win. Winning, winning.
B
So much winning.
A
It's lots of winning, Lots of winning, lots of winning, lots of winning, lots of winning, lots of winning. It's oh so good. So a door dash analysis published Monday found a number of key goods, including breakfast staples. I hate breakfast food. I'm not a big fan. I know what you're thinking. You look. What, you don't like bacon and egg? No, not really. No. No Pancakes?
B
No.
A
No, no. French toast? No, not really. I don't need it. I'd rather have a piece of pizza. I'd rather have a turkey sandwich. I honestly, honestly. But anyway, breakfast tables, computers and accessories, toys and outdoor equipment have declined in price since 2024. The DoorDash Breakfast Basics Index. By the way, I never get doordash. Are you in nuts? Who are you? McDonald's is a half a mile away. You're going to pay somebody to bring you McDonald's at twice the price? Are you out of your mind? I've never ordered doordash. Never, never. Anyway, three eggs, a glass of milk, a bagel and avocado is down 14% since March, roughly 1.7% over a 12 month period concluding in September 2025. In March, the National Breakfast Index registered at $5.07 nationally was brought down to $4.35 in September. There you go. Prices are coming down. Thank you very much. Most Affordable breakfast, Arlington, Texas, $3.21. Most expensive, Honolulu, Hawaii, $6.60. Computers and accessories are listed as down from 95 to $93, 2024 to 2025. Phone accessories have declined by about 44 cents. Laundry is down. There you go. And then the Thanksgiving turkey index, the Walmart Thanksgiving bundle that feeds 10 is running for slightly under $40, which rounds out to about $4 per person. Yeah, good luck with that. Good luck. You know, Please, please. Yeah, look at Mike. Might make maybe $200. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show. Are you ready for some words of wisdom from, of all people, Billy Bob Thornton?
F
I, I think, first of all, unless you have really studied stuff and really know about a subject fully, who the hell would want to listen to an actor or a musician talk about politics? You know what I mean? It's like, are we supposed to follow this? I mean, if we are, what if they lead you down the wrong road? And you know, and politically, I'm not a, I call myself a radical moderate. I'm like very strong in my opinions, but, but my opinions don't belong to any political party. And you know, I just look at what makes sense and I think we need a common sense party in this country. That's actually what I think we need. Just figure it out. It's pretty easy to figure out what this is all about, you know, a.
E
Non ideologically captured party.
A
Yeah, common sense. What was the 2024 about? I told you, it's about returning to common sense from nonsense. It really was, I mean, just about common sense. I was afraid that common sense was dead. I really, I really thought it was. I thought it was gone. The day that you start saying the boys can become girls and competence girl sports is the day that common sense is dead. But no, it's not. It's not. That's actually, you know, that's, that's, that's very astute, Billy Bob. Cyber crime spikes during the, the holidays, especially around Black Friday. I'm getting these spam emails saying that my payment method needs to be changed. On my cell phone, I'm getting notes from people writing me, hey, it's Caroline. How you doing? Episode: How Obamacare Became a Gold Mine for the Elites
Date: November 11, 2025
Host: Rob Carson (Newsmax Podcasts)
Main Theme:
This episode of The Rob Carson Show explores how the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") and subsequent Biden-era healthcare subsidies disproportionately benefited insurance companies and political elites, rather than ordinary Americans. Using humor, pointed commentary, and guest insights, Rob Carson scrutinizes government spending, elite profiteering, health policy failures, and the interplay between shutdown politics, immigration, and the healthcare economy.
Rob Carson discusses:
“About a third of all subsidized Obamacare health plans go unused by the insured, meaning these plans translate into pure profits for the health insurance companies… 40% of these policies have never had a single claim applied to them. It’s amazing. It shows that they are phantom policies. People aren't using them. They aren't making Americans healthier. Instead, they’re just checks written to insurance companies.”
— Rob Carson (09:44)
“They tried to pin the expiration of the Obama-era subsidies on Trump, but the Democrats voted for that.” (13:01 - 14:12)
“What they really wanted was one and a half trillion dollars for people that came in illegally, people that came in through and out of prisons... Venezuela, they emptied, they dumped their prisons.”
— Rob Carson (14:31)
“Unless you have really studied stuff and really know about a subject fully, who the hell would want to listen to an actor or a musician talk about politics? ...I think we need a common sense party in this country.” – Billy Bob Thornton (37:17)

This episode of The Rob Carson Show breaks down the ways Obamacare and recent Democratic policies allegedly failed to reduce costs for regular Americans but made health insurance companies and political allies fabulously wealthy. Through comedy and sharp critique—supported by guests, statistics, and colorful storytelling—Carson presents a view that government healthcare expansion is rife with inefficiencies, corporate welfare, and serves as a slush fund for elites and blue states. Listeners are urged to see recent shutdown politics as performative and self-serving for the political class, not the public.
Bottom Line:
According to Carson, Obamacare and its extensions became a gold mine for insurance giants and political insiders, all under the guise of helping “the little guy”—with everyday Americans left paying the bill.
