Show in America on air and on.
Doug Burns
The world wide web. This is the Rob Carson show.
Donald Trump
Tonight, after 11 months, our border is secure, inflation is stopped, wages are up, prices are down, our nation is strong, America is respected, and our country is back stronger than ever before.
Rob Carson
I'm not sure exactly. That was echoey. But anyway, welcome to the show. I'm getting a little. Yeah, back in my ear here. Welcome to the show. Please come inside. We've got so much to get to today. Donald Trump delivered a, an 18 minutes beat last night. I was kind of like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Was already over. It's already over. Very direct, very, very awesome, very positive and all of that. And it was a little slightly over modulated at times, but, but an enjoyable speech, a great speech. And it definitely set the, the, the pace for the next year. And then on top of that, today it looks like inflation is gone down. Oh, no. Oh no. Basically, everything that Donald Trump is doing is exactly what needs to be done to make the economy great. And anybody who knows anything about economics would know this. And the only people who would say otherwise are people who just hate Donald Trump. That's basically it. Yeah. Here is a, here's Donald Trump talking about all of the crap that Joe Biden put us through. And let me just say this real quick because, you know, you lived through it with me, I lived through it with you. We know what we went through when Joe Biden was the president. It was a bleep show. It was a Charlie Fox trot, to say the least. When we saw inflation go to 9%, I remember how agonizing it was to go to the grocery store and go, oh my God, look at this. And there were prices that went much higher than 9%. They went much higher than 9%. Things got all sorts of expensive. I remember going to the grocery store, being able to fill the bottom of the cart at Walmart for $200. And then, and then you could not do that for $200. Actually, you could fill the dag cart for $200. And then it got to filling the bottom for $200. I watched it in real time. I watched the price time I do all the shopping, I severed it with you. I saw people having to work two or three jobs. It was ridiculous. You cannot write that off. And the American people know it. They knew it then, they know it now. I sold cars and I remember when you could buy. What I like to say is what was $35,000 is now $50,000 when you buy a car, maybe $55,000. And I was thinking about this yesterday because literally five years ago, four years ago, you can get a brand new, fully loaded, really cool TRD Pro Tacoma. All right, that's the high end TRD Tacoma. It's a Toyota race development, really cool truck. 53 grand. 53 grand. And at that time, four or five years ago, that was a hell of a lot of money. That truck cost 70 grand. Okay? If you want to buy a tundra, a 1792 tundra, that used to be 60 grand, 62 grand, it's 85 grand. Now it's $85,000. So I watched all of this happen. I saw the price of used cars double. And they did double. You could say they didn't, but they did. The, the, the price of a home doubled when Joe Biden was the president of the United States. Interest rates tripled. I got a house for the low 200s in, in when Donald Trump was the president last time. Low 200s, four bedrooms, three baths needed. Got in for I think three something on the interest rate. And now that house is 450. That house is at least 450. And if you want to buy it, you're not going to get under 6%. So I watched all of this. There was no, there was no doubting any of this. And this is what we are trying to recover from as we go forward. And the Democrat Party would like to say, not affordable. It's not affordable. I hate to do this, but Joe Biden made it unaffordable. And right now we are digging out of the hole that he dug here at home.
Donald Trump
We're bringing our economy back from the brink of ruin. The last administration and their allies in Congress looted our treasury for trillions of dollars, driving up prices and everything at levels never seen before. I am bringing those high prices down and bringing them down very fast. Let's look at the facts. Under the Biden administration, car prices rose 22% and in many states 30% or more. Oh yeah, gasoline rose 30 to 50%.
Rob Carson
I remember when Joe Biden, the first year he was president, it cost me $94 to fill my truck. $94, I think it was a 16 gallon tank.
Donald Trump
Rates rose 37%. Airfares rose 31%. Now under our leadership, they are all coming down and coming down fast. Democrat politicians also sent the cost of groceries soaring. But we are solving that too. The price of a Thanksgiving Turkey was down 33% compared to the Biden last year. The price of eggs is down 82% since March and everything else is falling rapidly.
Rob Carson
I know, I know.
Donald Trump
And it's not done yet. No, we're making progress.
Rob Carson
Yeah, we are making progress. And the inflation report came out today. And what did it say? What did it say? The Democrats are sure it's going to keep going up. Donald Trump is making the nation unaffordable. The number of the morning, the cpi. Oh, maybe coming in a little bit better than expected. 2.7%. A little light here. I'm not calling, I'm just reading the headlines here. Year over year to 7x food and energy core to 6. So 410 off. That is a very good number. What? And it really. I have not looked at the internals. I'll look at them now. But it suggests that the internals are good as well. Let's see. Year over year over the last 12 months. There is no month to month but some guys will be able to calculate seasonally adjusted index for all items as food energy rose 0.2%. Wow. Holy hell. That is CNBC. And isn't it amazing what happens when you make energy affordable? Isn't it amazing what happens when you close the damn border and people who are legal start leaving self exporting 2 million of them out of here by rents go down. The cost of everything goes down. Here's another great report.
Doug Burns
I mean I was surprised.
Johnny
It was a better number than anyone was expecting.
Rob Carson
I didn't look.
Johnny
Inflation's been very high.
Rob Carson
It's still for four years when Joe Biden was the president high, it has.
Doug Burns
Not been coming down.
Johnny
But you know, people were expecting it to be above 3%.
Rob Carson
I didn't.
Johnny
Well below 3%. Yeah, I mean I think the President will take this as good news. The investors will think that interest rates.
Doug Burns
Will get cut more so you know it was, it was a positive news.
Johnny
There's no other way to spend it.
Rob Carson
Now the, when the inflation rates go or when the interest rates go down, when the Fed chair is replaced in May, that's when things are really going to take off. And then you've got the big beautiful bill, the tax on tips, the tax on Social Security going away. The, the ability to write off all the equipment for your new business. You know could be any of the, the, the, the equipment you what not gonna be able to write it off for the next three years. Write off the interest on an American made car. You have never seen anything like what is going to happen. I'm going to predict it again because generally and I you know most about 98, 99% of the time I'm right because I have you know life experience. I do a whole lot of show prep and I have common sense numbers.
Johnny
Brand new numbers on inflation. You can see the annual rate of inflation down a little bit in November. It was at 3% the last time we got a reading. Now it is tick down cooling slightly to 2.7%. Let's get right to CNN's Matt Egan for the latest on these numbers. This is below expectations, Matt.
Rob Carson
That's right Johnny, only your expectations.
Johnny
Only some good news on the number.
Donald Trump
One economic issue, the cost of living.
Rob Carson
So there goes another arrow out of the qu Democrat party. Unbelievable. And then of course there's gas prices. Listen to the this report from Vegas.
Johnny
Five cents a gallon, that is a pretty big deal. Now if you would have just filled up a 20 gallon tank compared to a month ago you would have saved more than $9 a tank. And if you have two to three cars and you fill up several times a month, that is a lot of savings.
Rob Carson
It is.
Johnny
You might be doing a double take at some gas stations around town. Regular gas for less than three bucks a gallon.
Rob Carson
Lot cheaper in Colorado. It's like a buck what we found.
Johnny
At the Kwik Trip on low C.
Donald Trump
It's not as painful at the pump. It's always nice to have cheaper prices.
Rob Carson
Do you ever have to call your, your sig other and say hey honey, can I fill the car with gas or should I just put $20 in for payday? I had to do that like five, six years ago.
Doug Burns
But you know, so as a new.
Rob Carson
There are a lot of people who had to do that when Joe Biden was the president Uber driver. This helps me save a tremendous amount of money.
Johnny
With the prices what they are right.
Rob Carson
Now, I could probably sa roughly about.
Johnny
60 bucks a week.
Rob Carson
That's what I think I'm doing. Wow, that's like enough to buy groceries. That's an extra $60. I got nine children, so $60 go a long way.
Johnny
Arco on South Jones, Costco's and Sam's Club and some Murphy Express stations are in the top 10 list of cheapest gas prices in town. On GasBuddy.com AAA says gas is the lowest it's been in four years. One reason gas is typically cheaper to make in the winter than.
Rob Carson
Yeah, and also drill, baby, drill. Unleashing American energy and whatnot and doing smart things for the economy like a businessman does. This is Jim Gossip on the Rob Carson Show. Liberal heads, they're exploding Their tiny brains are imploding yeah, Trump has a mandate the media hates living in a maga wonderland Democrat popularity plummeting Lefties filled with dejection because they suck since they lost re election got beat really bad and now they are sad Living in a maga wonderland that's kind of cool, isn't it? Mark Kelly is gonna be indicted. Oh, let's hope so.
Doug Burns
Seditious 6 as nervous as can be.
Rob Carson
They should be trouble for themselves they all invited their careers will soon be history My heel on Omar Chris Ray's future is so dire Jerome Pow. Yeah, bye bye. Trump will fire in May and the deep state make America great Living in a mega wonderland it's gonna be a great Christmas Thriving in a mega wonderland Warrior dividend coming, winning in a maga wonderland Got a little bit more from the speech, including the 1776 warrior dividend for American soldiers. And of course, the left is saying, well, that's not enough money. Not very much money. $1,776. It is to me. I think it is to most people. $1,776 would certainly take care of Christmas and then some. We've got that coming up. This, my friends, is the Rob Carson Show.
Johnny
Are voters feeling about Democrats right now? Yeah, I mean, Democrats in the minds of the American public are lower than the Dead Sea. What are we talking about here? Well, let's take a look at the net approval rating for Democrats in Congress. You said okay, Baldwin, the lowest ever. Look at this. Overall, they are 55 points underwater. Their approval rating is south of 20%. It's even worse when you look at independents. Look at this. Negative 61 points. That means that their approval rating is 61 points lower than their disapproval rating. Quinnipiac has been polling this question for the better part of the 21st century. They have never found Democrats, at least those in Congress, in worse shape than they are.
Rob Carson
I cannot figure out why Americans would not like Democrats.
Doug Burns
We have to Trump.
Rob Carson
Please don't tell my children that I just did that. You get your musty hands off of our money or go to mouse cow you muster.
Donald Trump
They're trying to rob you and they're probably a minor.
Johnny
I'm shaking right now. I don't want to be here.
Rob Carson
I'm sorry.
Johnny
Am I taking too long, pleading for my life?
Donald Trump
Which side are you on?
Doug Burns
Which side are you on?
Rob Carson
Awful people.
Johnny
See how afraid of Trump I am. Can you wrap up, please?
Rob Carson
Yes. Department of Government Efficiency. You just remember it is the Department of Government Evil.
Johnny
What is the problem with those? What is the problem with.
Rob Carson
I speak as both the B and.
Doug Burns
The T in the lgbt. I do not want to be in your email inboxes.
Rob Carson
You know why the Democrats are not popular? Because they're freaking insane and they're childish and they've been throwing a temper tantrum forever and they suck and they're not patriotic and they look like complete fools and they do stupid crap like say, oh, I like the narco terrorists don't blow up the drug boats. And the American people are going blow up the drug boats. I think it really kicks butt. I love the fact that they're blowing up the drug boats. I love the fact that. That now we're not just giving lip service to war on drugs or actually getting something done. I love the fact that they are uncovering massive, massive, massive fraud, which no one ever even wondered about. I said this. I said, this is going to get so big. We are going to find out that we are more corrupt than the Soviet Union ever dreamed of being, except for we had $7 trillion to play with. The Democrat Party increased the size of the government, 40% on Covid, and they looted the Treasury. Nothing ever gets fixed. We've got a guy in the White House who, for the first time since Reagan, is doing what he said he would do when he got into office. And they tried to kill him. They tried to take him off the ballot, they tried to put him in jail, they tried to impeach him, they raided Mar A Lago and it all failed. And this is what you are now. We are now reaping. We are going to win. We are going to leave you into the dustmen of history. I told you that the Democrat Party is spiraling into the pits of hell. Did that poll not give you an example of that? They are spiraling into the pits of hell. I have told you that the Democrat Party needs to reinvent itself or disappear into the dustbin of history. They chose after 2024, after every signal said you've got to turn toward the middle, they chose to go the other way, into the dust bin. Do you not understand that yet? Because I've been saying it. I've been saying it since they put Kamala Harris in for putting for brains. And I laughed out loud and said, there's no way she's going to be president. And people laughed at me like, are you kidding? And they spent $2 billion on that. And nobody wanted to eat that crap sandwich. There you go. And here we go again. Donald Trump is doing everything he needs to do to spur the economy like we've never seen before. The entire world knows that the United States is the place to put your money right now, to the tune of $18 trillion. And the only people who are saying the other the opposite are Democrats in the United States of America. We're about ready to start being proud to have a sticker on the product you buy saying made in Americ again. And it's been a long damn time. It's been a long time. And then last night, here is Donald Trump talking about what he's going to do for our troops.
Donald Trump
Tonight. I am also proud to announce that more than 1,450 thousand. Think of this. 1,450,000 military service members will receive a special we call Warrior Dividend before Christmas.
Rob Carson
And how much is that?
Donald Trump
Warrior Dividend. Yeah, in honor of our nation's founding. And it's kind of funny because when.
Rob Carson
Joe Biden was the president, enlisted personnel on, on army bases had to get food stamps just to pay their groceries.
Donald Trump
76. We are sending every soldier 17 $76. Think of that. And the checks are already on the way.
Rob Carson
Wow. Can you imagine that? You know, see, because I'm, I'm one of those guys who, you know, watch the prices, right? And, you know, if you want $1,000, that was kind of a big deal. And I'm the kind of guy, you know, if you get like a. You find a $10 bill in your pants in the wash, you freak out and go, oh, my God. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. But not. Over on News Nation, here's one of their Democrat panelists saying, 1776 dollars ain't that much.
Johnny
And he can promote 1776 costs all he want. And giving out a check that worked for him the first time. 1776, that's less than a rent check in D.C. i don't even know what the impact of that is going to.
Rob Carson
It's less than, you know, honestly. Wow. It's less than an rent check in D.C. will. You live in D.C. fool. And your money don't go very far in Washington DC. But I'm going to tell you right now, $1776 is going to cover your Christmas for your kids like you never had before and then have enough to buy a month worth of groceries. So it ain't enough to cover the cost of a studio apartment in DC. Well, most people don't live in DC for God's sake. $1776 is a hell of a lot of money. For the rest of us who look for yellow stickers at Walmart when they want to, you know, buy sandwiches and stuff because they're about ready to go bad, you know, I look for the yellow stickers. Hell, there's a Whole Foods near here. I look for the yellow stickers. I was there this morning. I bought half price sandwiches. I loaded up on half price sandwiches because I shop like I'm poor, because I've been poor. $1776 is a hell of a lot, particularly for our military members. And God bless them. I hope you have the best Christmas ever. And you should because it's pretty darned amazing. 100%. Here's a little bit more good news from the President.
Donald Trump
Last night a major factor in driving up housing costs was the colossal border invasion. Yeah, we have never been invaded. This is the worst thing that, frankly, in my opinion, the worst thing that the Biden administration did to our country is the invasion at the border.
Rob Carson
Treason.
Donald Trump
The last administration and their allies in Congress brought in millions and millions of migrants and gave them taxpayer funded housing while your rent and housing costs skyrocketed. Over 60% of growth in the rental market came from foreign migrants. At the same time, illegal aliens stole American jobs and flooded emergency rooms. Getting free health care and education paid for by you, the American taxpayer.
Rob Carson
They did. Yeah.
Donald Trump
They also increased the cost of law enforcement by numbers so high that they are not even to be mentioned.
Rob Carson
Now, by the way, for the cost of putting up an illegal at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan for three days, that would be about $1776, around $500 a night. And they put illegals up there for six months or even longer and then gave them SNAP benefits and all that. So there you go. Let's take a break and come back. The one and only Doug Burns joins us next. Don't go anywhere. My nightly ritual now is a little ice, a little vanilla yogurt, banana, a little milk and a scoop of chocolate brownie beans. I don't review those documents. So you're asking me to look at documents that I haven't for the first time. What I can tell you is that I'll give you allowed Mr. Wade to bill 160 hours a week and then Mr. Wade would be the first one in the office making sure that my staff arrived. He corrected their behavior. They thought that 8:30 meant 8:30. He 8:30 means 7:45.
Rob Carson
Wow. I tell you what, after an evening with you, Fanny, that's not a lot of sleep. My God. Doug Burns, former federal prosecutor, joins us on the Newsmax highlight. How are you, my friend?
Doug Burns
Good, Rob. Great to be with you.
Rob Carson
What'd you think about Fonny Willis? She was a little belligerent yesterday, wasn't she?
Doug Burns
Well, she was defensive, she was hostile, she was angry. And going to the third one angry, it's perfectly obvious why. In other words, you don't have to be a psychiatrist to know, Rob, that, that, you know, she brought this big RICO case against Donald Trump and the media lapped it all up. I had to sit there with a couple of liberal pundits on a BBC TV episode and they're lecturing me, including the anchor, that, oh no, this is a perfectly appropriate use of rico. That's completely absurd nonsense. And the thing blew up in her face because a she assigned her boyfriend, who had never done a RICO case, to the case. B, they spent all kinds of money, as I've heard you say. C, 10 times. More importantly, they went to Washington, D.C. and it seemed like there was coordination there. So when this thing just blew up, of course she's angry, obviously.
Rob Carson
Well, she had no idea how much her budget was, how much they spent on this case. And so there are a lot of questions here. And she's clearly defensive. And I think it's more than that. I think that she's running for her life. I think she's scared out of her wits about the truth coming out. And.
Doug Burns
Yeah, if I may jump in, I. Sorry to interrupt you. Rob, real quick, Very important. I mean, I'm a lawyer for 40 years, and I'm not trying to be corny or on a soapbox. My late father was a lawyer, and he took it really seriously. He felt that being a lawyer meant something. She and Wade both came in and just glibly lied under oath in a court proceeding. That's a total disgrace. You know, the point is, she should have come in. It's very interesting. Again, to be corny. I've been in many situations where people had lost informally, and then they come into court and the judge puts them under oath, and then they tell the truth. And it's kind of a solemn thing. So she should have said, yeah, I did have the relationship with him, yada yada. Instead, she just flat out lied.
Rob Carson
Yeah. And she said that Nathan, what? He. He billed 160 hours a week, which would mean he worked 22 hours a day. How does that work?
Doug Burns
Well, that's like the old joke. This is a good one. Guy dies, he's 47 years old, he goes up to heaven. He goes, I don't understand what happened. He's a lawyer. I forgot to add, in a lawful firm. And they go, well, we reviewed your timesheets, and according to them, you're 91 years old. And the point is, that's an old joke. Again, my dad, I keep mentioning him.
Rob Carson
I haven't heard that one.
Doug Burns
I have never heard that joke. But the point is, you know, lawyers sometimes can take liberties. 22 hours a day is a ridiculous amount to Bill. But the bottom line, again, broken record real quick, is their conduct was just completely and totally embarrassing. Okay? They spent a lot of money. She paid him a boatload of money. He was not qual to do the case. And on and on it went. Okay. And then they both came in and lied under oath. Unbelievable. As a lawyer, the last thing you should be doing is lying under oath in a court proceeding.
Rob Carson
Yeah, exactly. Here is John Kennedy yesterday talking about the raid on Mar A Lago, which apparently was not necessary, not warranted.
Johnny
I want to find out what happened. My Democratic friends, I don't put all of them in this bucket, Will, but they talk about the rule of law, and we got to follow the rule. And I believe in the rule of law. How come it doesn't apply to the Biden and Justice Department? And how come when we bring it up, they say, well, well, you're just vengeance retribution? No, it's not. Whether it's President Trump or anybody, if the FBI said, look, listen, meathead, you don't have probable cause to conduct the raid and the doj, DOJ did it anyway, I want to know who made that decision and why they did it anyway. And by the way, they're subject to lawsuit under section 1980.
Rob Carson
I've never seen anything like it. I remember the day that the raid, they ordered that the cameras be turned off. They. Alina Haba was there. They sent all of his representation out of the. They. They went in, they laid out folders that said classified, confidential, top secret, all that, which didn't match the documents. It was at 100% set up. And there were people in the FBI saying, you don't have probable cause to do this. What happens next?
Doug Burns
You do not have to be an assistant United States attorney for nine years, as I was. And I'm not being glib, just hear me out. There is absolutely nothing to debate here, okay? The way in a white collar case and multiply that by 10 in a political case, then multiply it by 100 when you're talking about a former President of the United States, okay? There's absolutely no way in a million years that you do a search warrant, okay? There are other alternatives. The memos that are being released show that the FBI, to their credit, was arguing. You have to be kidding me. First step is you interface with the lawyer and you work out the production of the material. The next step, step, if that's unsuccessful, is a subpoena. And by the way, if you tell the lawyer, look, if we can't work this out, we're going to have to issue a subpoena and then the lawyer will probably come around. The last resort reserved for serious, real criminals, real ones, not fake, phony, bogus ones, that's made up political nonsense, would be a search warrant. And the grounds, what you need, forget probable cause, put that to the side, because that's a light standard, but. But what? The grounds are, the stuff is very likely to be compromised, destroyed, moved. This venue's under 24 hours United States Secret Service protection. When my wife. Because you referenced the day of it. So I'll tell you a quick anecdote. She says, you know, Janie just called. She said that the President's house in Florida is being raided by the FBI. And I said, joanne, this. There's no way in a million years that that's true, okay? And that is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. I have a friend who was associate Deputy Attorney general that's, you know, assistant to the dag. And I called them and I said, look, if two FBI agents came in to see you guys and they said, we want to search George H.W. bush's home in Kennebunkport, what would you say? He said, get the F out of my office. Are you kidding me?
Rob Carson
I remember when it happened. It was the first time in history it's ever happened. When that was happening, I knew that this was something like we'd never seen before. This was, show me the man, I'll show you the crime. It ties in with everything else they tried to do. And Donald Trump is the only person who could have survived all of it. It's remarkable that he did. Isn't. Is.
Doug Burns
But at the same time, it's not surprising that something like that, that would backfire because you've heard me say a million times. And I'll say it again, because it's important. You know, I've been in front of juries for 40 years, and jurors are really, really smart, okay? And they catch stuff. And you can't pull the wool over jurors eyes. And they have common sense. And the fact of the matter is, is that the vast, vast, vast majority of people in the United States of America had to have said, you issued a search warrant for the President's estate.
Rob Carson
What?
Doug Burns
Are you kidding me? I just heard, you know, Doug Burns, Andy McCarthy, Greg Jarrett, calmly express Professor Dershowitz that that's just beyond unusual. Rarer than hands, teeth. Because you would either work it out with the lawyer, if I may repeat myself, or issue a subpoena.
Rob Carson
Wow. I'd like to talk to you on the other side of the break. The case of Nick Reiner, Rob Reiner's son, and also what's going on at Brown University. There's a lot of chicanery there, and I have theories about it. Love your thoughts as well, Doug Merns. That's cool with you?
Doug Burns
Absolutely.
Rob Carson
Sure. All right, let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson show.
Doug Burns
And someone who has a, let's just say, familial connection to one of the people that have been involved in this case. And the information that we've received, story.
Johnny
That'S come out of there is that.
Doug Burns
This was, in fact, targeted, that the.
Johnny
Assailant came in and fired multiple rounds directly at Ella Cook. And that the story that is coming.
Doug Burns
Up, that's being told at least by students on campus and people who are.
Johnny
Directly involved in this is that seemed like she was the main target and everyone else was incidental.
Rob Carson
That is Jack Bosovic. He's talking about Ella Cook being targeted at Brown University. And a lot of people are beginning to echo that. Not necessarily mass shooting. And even though two people died and, what, nine others were injured, the killer was able to escape. A mass shooter supposedly was able to escape due to a number of factors not caught on any quality video because there were no video cameras behind the building where this person got in and killed Ella Cook, among other things. There's so many balls in the air on this one. Doug Burns, what have you have noticed about this? And I know you've. I know. I know you personally have probably been spending a lot of time on this.
Doug Burns
I have. And here are my takeaways. Number one, there are serious, serious questions about cameras because we saw in the Mangion case, the nypd, you know, phenomenal work. We saw in the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk. Surveillance cameras all over the place. So the first question is, wait a minute. What is going on here with cameras? You hate to have politics enter legal discussions, but it's. You can't avoid it here. And there's a lot of talk, you know, it's no secret, you know, that Brown University, you know, way, way, way left. And that may be reflected in this camera issue. The next issue is these press conferences. You know, I've been around the block for 40 years, and I've been at a lot of law enforcement press conferen, obviously. And, man, some of the stuff I'm seeing is really pretty shocking. Obviously, you know, one hand not knowing what the other's doing.
Rob Carson
Yes.
Doug Burns
Them coming out, by the way, Rob, and saying, you know, I just want to assure everybody there's really no threat. What, are you kidding me? This is an active gunman who's armed and still at large.
Rob Carson
Doug. They had a candlelight vigil. The mayor talked about, you know, my feelings and everything. And they did a Candlelight vigil with the gunman on the loose. Are you out of your nut?
Doug Burns
Absolutely. And then the president of the university, you know, who's obviously, you know, far, far left figure she comes in and this was a semantic nuance. You know, I'm not being sort of pompous, but not everybody might at court. I know you did, because I saw also conservative media was talking about it last night and she's like, you know, gun violence, that's idiotic. Okay? The gun doesn't kill people. People. The person kills people. So this is a total embarrassment in an unbelievably far left woke venue. I'm not happy about that, obviously, but I'm just saying it is reflected in what's going on. God only knows whether they're going to catch this guy, to tell you the truth, because the last bullet point real quick is that, you know, like Mangione and like the Charlie Kirk tragedy, they're going to need the public's assistance. And by the way, there was stuff about like they weren't aware of who was in the classroom. You have to be kidding me.
Rob Carson
They didn't know yesterday how many people were. And they hadn't talked to anybody yet yesterday, Doug.
Doug Burns
That's insane, Rob. And the point is, that's exactly where you're going to get the critical, critical information to apprehend the person.
Rob Carson
Yeah, and I'm going to mention this because I'm not afraid to, because I can speculate. This. This guy, Mustafa Carbouch, has been erased from the student profile amid the search for the, for the gunman off of the university's profile. Now, he also has been known as a radical pro Palestinian activist who has literally confronted and attacked conservatives on campus before. And he fits the description and the body build of the suspect. And I would certainly think, you know, obviously you don't convict anybody, but at the same time, when you are wiping the profile of this individual off of the university, you know, whatever page, then is that a little bit coincidental?
Doug Burns
Well, I'm not going to give a conclusion, but I frame the issue. I always do. And the issue is it is entirely reasonable at this point to discuss the fact that they may very well be trying to hide stuff that doesn't fit political narratives. And that's unbelievably disgraceful when you're talking about a criminal investigation.
Rob Carson
Listen to this. Listen to this guy yesterday. This, this guy at the press conference yesterday. Check this out.
Johnny
We're asking the public to please stop referring to him as the Brown shooter as this has an inherently Islamophobic connotation. And Brown because of Brown University, not because of the color of skin. Right, right, right. We are also asking the public to please stop posting photos of Mufasa Carmack. We would, for the sake of diversity, really like to pin this on. Wow. A different ethnicity. Because it is unfair to keep blaming Islam for every violent act they commit. Let's do better.
Rob Carson
He literally said, we've got it. We've got to target another ethnicity, not radical Islam.
Doug Burns
Who was that person speaking about, I may ask?
Rob Carson
I don't know who he was. He was an activist. He took the. He took the. The microphone yesterday in the presser.
Doug Burns
Right, right, I get it. No, no, no. Again, you know, things happen for a reason. You know, they don't just happen out of left field. And the fact of the matter is, is that, you know, they created this environment. You know, you don't need police, it's not necessary. And it's really embarrassing how it's blowing up in their faces. But again, I'm not happy about it because two people have been murdered. Multiple, I think nine or more people injured. And I wish they. This guy. But what a woke environment. That is unbelievable.
Rob Carson
Before we go, get your thoughts on Nick Reiner. I don't think he's going to face the death penalty. I think they've got an insanity defense or. I don't know. He just does not seem of right, of sound mind and body. What are your thoughts?
Doug Burns
No way he faces the death penalty. You're exactly right for two different reasons. Number. Number one, he wouldn't face it even if they, you know, enforced it out there. But number two, there's a moratorium on the death penalty in California, so that's not going to happen next. You're right on the money. Of course, this case has a very, very sad, tragic dynamic to it.
Rob Carson
Okay.
Doug Burns
Normally when somebody murders two people right away, everybody's like, this is a monster and an animal. It's a different situation. This is a drug addict with huge problems, escalating violence. It was an accident waiting to happen. And tragically, it did happen. I've already predicted that. I don't think you're going to see a trial, Rob. I think what you're going to see is, you know, an immediate referral for a psychiatric examination, obviously. And it may very well go down the road of not so much, oh, he's not guilty by reason of insanity.
Rob Carson
No.
Doug Burns
But more like, oh, he really can't face trial and he's going to be in a psychiatric Hospital, something like that is my.
Rob Carson
Yeah, he's going to have to stay there.
Doug Burns
It has no drama to it because we all know what happened.
Rob Carson
Absolutely. Doug, I appreciate you so much, my brother. I, I want to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. It's such a wonderful to have you on this radio program and I look forward to an incredible 2026 with you.
Doug Burns
Really appreciate the kind words.
Rob Carson
Great H. God bless you, brother. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show.
Johnny
I want to bring up the part that no one's willing to talk about here. And I'm not going to use the name because we don't need another Richard Jewell. You remember the Atlanta Olympics, the guy who found the the bomb. They, the Atlanta Journal Constitution accused him ruined this guy's life. He died of cancer. But there are reports of this, this student at Brown, Class of 2027 fits the description of the suspect. He is a Palestinian activist and his profile has been scrubbed again, allegedly, reportedly from the Brown University University website. John, what can you tell us? Bob I actually had an encounter with that individual I was covering. It was a pro Hamas rally when a bunch of the students took over the Rhode Island School of Design. And there was, you know, whenever I go to those types of things, I don't go as much anymore because they'd surround me. They started to figure out who I was. And there was one individual and I mean like 0 to 60, his temper flew up and he was swearing at me and screaming at me in Arabic. And the only reason I really remember that that one was because one of his friends pulled him away. And I'm not going to say the name, but he said it and it reminded me of Lion King. And I actually said on live, you know, yeah, move Lion King away from me. And when I saw the individual you're talking about, that is the individual that approached me and I mean 0 to 60, hot temper, they had to drag him away. And from what I understand, they cannot locate that individual.
Rob Carson
Yeah. Can locate the individual whose name will not be spoken, but he looks has the same gait and the same body type and height and everything as the shooter. So we'll see, right? We will. We don't want to William Jewel the person, but his social profile has been erased from the university's website. So there you go. There's that gold up another 20 bucks today. 4328. It was 43, 4308. Yesterday it was 40. It was another like 60 bucks lower no $200 less last week. So gold is on the run right now. Silver is doing very well too. And with birch gold they're going to give you free silver with you gold. And all you have to do is text my name Rob to 989-898. They're going to give you a free silver round. An ounce of silver which has gone up 120% this year when you buy $5,000 of gold, when you invest in $5,000 in gold. And gold was $2,600 last year. It's 4,328 today. My goodness, you better get on it before it's $5,000 an ounce free silver with gold. But you got to text my Name Rob to 989-898 for your eligibility for this offer. Get some information.
