And not only that, just so you know what it like, genuine nice person Rob Carson is, he lets me do his fill in. He always asked me like, I want you, you do it absolutely as so sweet. Then he sends me a gift to thank me for sitting in the chair for him. Like, are you kidding? I'm so happy for the work. That's gift enough. But he always sends me a gift to thank me for sitting in the seat for him.

So.
Mary Walter
What a super thoughtful guy. I mean his. All right, let's face it. His decorating choices, probably a little dicey. I think we can all agree it's very Austin Powers. But that aside, he has a good heart. He's a really, really sweet guy. Okay, Coming up on the show, Ken did a good job here. Lieutenant Colonel Tony Schaefer will be joining us next hour. And in the last hour of the show, we'll be joined by Sarah Bedford from the Washington Examiner. She's an investigative editor there. We're going to get the Epstein files. We'll probably get into them before she comes on. So you and I, we can, we can talk about them. And because I do want to know what you have to say about a lot of things. So we'll talk about those. And with, with Tony Shafer, we're going to talk about Venezuela and the gunboats and the oil and what's going on and the security risks we are now facing as a result of Joe Biden's open borders. You know what's going on in this country. And not only that, not just the security risk, but the fraud. Which the fraud is a security risk, is it not? I think so. So, okay, let's get going, shall we? As I said, I do open. I do appreciate your comments. You are free to disagree with me. You do not have to agree with me in order to come on. No, I'm okay with you disagreeing with me. That's fine. As long as we do it in an adult manner and we're, we're word nice to each other. You let me talk, I'll let you talk we have a nice back and forth, a nice steady exchange of ideas. 800-922-6680 is my number. 800-922-66 80 if you want to jump in now, if you can't, you know, make a phone call, you say, I can't do that time. You can always reach out to me on X. Just look for Mary Walter Radio. There's no S because there's only one of me. So Mary Walter Radio and tag me in a post. Don't DM me. I'm never going to see it until after the show because I can only multitask so much. So tag me in a post and I will try to get to your comments in a timely manner. All right? And also with the phone calls and if you're going to call in, let's try to keep it to the topic at hand. All right? Shall we? That would be great because sometimes people call in with stuff from out of left fields. I'm like, no. So. And I, I love this audience. I love when you guys call in. We always have such good conversations. So I'm looking forward to the next two weeks. Oh, I forgot to tell you one more thing before we get started. My podcast, which Rob has been a guest, as you know, on my podcast, more than once. My podcast is live on Tuesdays at 7:15 Eastern Time. In the evening, 7:00pm, 7:15pm Eastern Time. It is a live cast where you can participate. You can ask questions of the guests or if it's just me, if we don't have guests and it's just us, you guys can throw out topics to talk about. So it's very interactive. We have a really good group of people, of regulars. They're very welcoming. And it is live on rumble, YouTube and getter. Just look for Mary Walter Radio. The audio is available afterwards on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Spreaker. And when I say afterwards, it's when I get to edit it and get it up. So it will not be up by Wednesday. I'm just telling you that now. My guest this week, you know, I'm Hans Von Spakovsky. You know, we all know Hans. So when I was working in Washington D.C. i would, I would work, I always work during Christmas because my co host had a kid, so I had work. So I would work during Christmas and Hans would always fill in for my co host at the time, would always fill in that week. So Hans and I kind of have a tradition of working Christmas week together at some point in time. So he does my podcast with me on the Tuesday of Christmas week. So we will do that tomorrow night. So we may do a little bit of some serious topics, but then we'll also have some fun. Hans and his wife are insane bakers, so I told him to have a plate of Christmas cookies ready to show us all of their handiworks. And we'll do some other things, too. So that will be tomorrow night. All right. Shall we? Let's talk about turning points. America Fest, also known as AM Fest, and it started on Thursday, it ended on Sunday. And I don't know how much of it you saw. I did not see a lot of it. What made me stop yesterday was something we're going to talk about was Nicki Minaj, because I did not have Nicki minaj on my 2025 bingo card. As having her come to Jesus moment when it comes to Trump, because she campaigned for Obama, for Hillary, for Bernie Sanders, she was all in. And now all of a sudden, girl is in for Trump. And the way she spoke and the things that she spoke about, I was like, wow, like you are. You're actually really smart. And I think I gave her short shrift, of course, because, you know, she's shilling for socialism because both she and Bernie are millionaires. The two of them are shilling for socialism. And I thought that's a little hypocritical. But it seems as if she has. Has changed her mind. And she talks about that. She said, you know, one thing I think we need to learn how to do is accept people changing their minds and allowing people to change their minds. So that was one of the highlights of AM Festival. However, Erica Kirk comes out and God bless that woman. Oh, my gosh. I mean, first of all, she's beautiful. And she doesn't ugly cry. She doesn't ugly cry. She somehow keeps it together and she manages to, you know, ball her eyes out, as she should. I mean, her husband was assassinated three months ago on national television. And when she cries, she just dabs at her eyes with her tissue. And it's like, oh, she's amazing. And she's so strong. So she's out there. She made sure that this went through, this amfest happened, and she's out there. And she was the first speaker to speak, of course. Well, the second speaker to speak was Ben Shapiro. And Ben Shapiro, there's a guy who's super divisive on the right named Nick Fuentes. I don't know if you're familiar with Nick Fuentes. He kind of came to notice when, during in 2017 in Charlottesville. He was part of the right wing Christian nationalist group. You know, he's anti Semitic. They were the ones who were there. He was one of the protesters there and that's where he kind of came to prominence. And as I said, he's known for anti Semitic comments that are, that are really out there, severely out there. I. And so he was not invited to AM Fest this year. With good reason. Charlie didn't want him there, as I think is good. I'm a fan of free speech. I'm a fan of exchange of ideas, especially ideas that challenge, which is always why I invite you to call in. If you disagree with me, that's fine, but it has to be done respectfully. Charlie would always put his, say his piece and then put his microphone down and listen to the other person. But when someone is spewing, I'm sorry, what, What I believe to be hatred, I do believe in saying, not at my party, you know, I'm throwing the party, you're not. I'm sorry, but your speech is not invited to my party. That being said, Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens and the rest of them all going at it. I think it's a bad look for the party. You don't fight your battles on a public stage, in my humble opinion. But I also think it's good to hear differing views at the same time and show the world that we, we do sometimes disagree and it's okay to have differing views. Alright, so Candace Owens, she's another one. I don't know what's going on with her. She comes out and she's asking a lot of questions and she's, she's saying things and she. Regarding her problem right now, besides her problem with Brigitte Macron, which Candace, what were you thinking alleging that Brigitte Macron is a biological man. Now, does she look manly? Yes. And that doesn't help because the pants suits she wears makes her look very Austin Powers, you know, like very mesh. Makes her look manly. She's just unfortunately built. Try to say it as nicely as I could do. I think she's a dude. No. And if I did, I'm smart enough not to say it on the air. Right? Like that's something that you say with a friend over beer, but not on the air. So Candace gets on and she's talked about that. So she's being sued over that. Okay. Which she had to see that coming. But she started talking about Charlie's assassination and she started pondering that, you Know that she believes that Israel had a part in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. And then she talks about, you know, some of the people there, some of his. His associates and things, and how the story changed. And I also don't know if the story would change if I was there. When a friend of mine is gunned down, what I initially say versus what I think about and then say later may change. But regardless, all of that. All right, Take all of that out. There's something called grace, and we have lost how to be graceful in our society, both men and women. And I'm not talking around. I'm not talking about, like, being graceful, like, flitting around, anything like that. I'm not talking about that. Sitting with your legs crossed, gentlemen. Don't do that. It's very Gavin Newsom. Don't do that. What I'm talking about is having a sense of when something's appropriate and when something is not appropriate. And for me, when you're not even, what, a month and a half out from the assassination of someone who's supposedly your friend and his widow is still grieving and his children are dealing with this, I don't think you start to ponder conspiracy theories and ponder about the people in his entourage or his associates, that kind of thing. You may have legitimate questions, and you may have legitimate viewpoints. I just think that you have to have grace and offer people something, space. So for me, it's time and place. So many people don't know time and place. Pajamas at the airport. Wrong place. Okay? There's a time, and there's a place for everything. So in my opinion, I think Candace is wrong in her choosing to ponder all this stuff loudly. You know, less than three months after Charlie Kirk's assassination on national television. That's what bothers me there. And I know she and Erica met, but why? Why did she have. Why did Erica Kirk, a grieving widow, have to take time out to meet with Candace Owens to get her to stop what she's doing? Candace should have known better. And the first time that Erica publicly asked her to please stop, she should have stopped. So you got that going on. Then you get Ben Shapiro. So I'll tell you what struck Ben Shapiro kicked it off. All right? So Ben Shapiro kicked it off, and then it went downhill from there. But at the end of this, I'm gonna bring you, believe it or not, for some actual something that's gonna make you feel good from Nicki Minaj at the end of this. At the end of this hour, by the end of this hour, you're gonna feel okay about this. We're gonna talk about the upheaval and the uproar on. On the. On the Republican side. If you Want to comment, 800-922-6680. Then we go to Nicki Minicki, Nicki Minaj to make you feel better. That's coming up on the Rob Carson Show. The Rob Carson show podcast is everywhere. Go to Newsmax.com listen for details. There we go. That sounded like Christmas music to me right there. Nothing says Christmas like that. I'm Mary Walter in for Rob Carson, and I'm with you for two weeks. Very excited. You guys are a great audience. All right, so we're at Turning Point, and we talked about Candace Owens, we talked about Fuentes to kind of, like, lay the groundwork. So there's all of these little, like, rivalries bubbling up. Now, Tucker Carlson had Nick Fuentes on his podcast. Fine. There are some people who are like, listen, Charlie was all about free speech. Charlie was about exchanging ideas and challenging ideas that he thought were bad. So Tucker having Nick on his show shouldn't be a bad thing. And there are others like, no, he. He didn't condemn him enough. He didn't judge him. And he was. It had everything to do with the questions he's asked. So there are others who thought that what Tucker did was a bad thing. So. All right, enter Ben Shapiro. Now, let's start with cut 10. This is Ben Shapiro. Now, he gave. He came on stage right after Erica Kirk. So he was the first one out. Ben Shapiro, co founder of Daily Wire, it's conservative outlet. And he talked about Candace Owens and said Candace Owens has been vomiting all sorts of hideous and conspiratorial nonsense into the public square four years. Then he goes after Tucker Carlson for having Nick Fuentes on his podcast. Here's a little bit about what Ben said about Tucker.
Ben Shapiro
There is a reason that Charlie Kirk despised Nick Fuentes and indeed even chided Dinesh d' Souza for debating him. He knew that Nick Fuentes is an evil troll and that building him up is an act of moral imbecility. And that is precisely what Tucker Carlson did. He built Nick Fuentes up, and he ought to take responsibility for that, just as he ought to take responsibility for glazing pornographer and alleged sex trafficker Andrew Tate or for mainstreaming fake historian and pseudo Nazi apologist Daryl Cooper as America's best and most honest popular historian. Hosts are indeed responsible for the guests they choose and the questions they ask those guests.
Mary Walter
So you go so he. He's going after Tucker for the questions that he asked or didn't ask of Nick Fuentes. So there we go. So that starts it. So then you get Tucker Carlson, about an hour later, not even an hour later, gets on stage, and instead of giving his speech, he mocks Ben Shapiro's attempt to, what he said, deplatform and denounce people who disagree with him. And he said, I watched it. I laughed. Ben Shapiro is like a cancer, a cancer that spreads. So he goes. He goes after Ben Shapiro. Then Ben Shapiro, well, oh, and Candace Owens, even though she was not invited, she was not there, obviously. And he went after her and said that Candace Owens, as I said, has been vomiting all sorts of hideous and conspiratorial nonsense. She is now on her podcast saying that she called Shapiro a miserable imp. She comes back at him. So Shapiro also had things to say about Megyn Kelly. He said that Megyn Kelly is guilty of cowardice because she refused to condemn Candace Owens for spreading what he called unsubstantiated theories about Kirk's death. Now, all of this is like an episode of the Real Housewives Jersey, of course, because that's my favorite. And you know, Ben Shapiro. Shapiro just came into dinner and flipped a table a la Teresa Judici. Right? Like, he just came in and flipped a table. Again, you do that in your house. You don't do that at a restaurant a la Teresa. But Teresa's getting paid for her antics. Ben Shapiro is not. Not the same way. So now. Now he's got Megyn Kelly upset. So when it's her turn on stage, guess what? Megyn Kelly comes out and bashes Ben Shapiro. She said he was a marginal figure in the conservative movement. She said their friendship is over. I resent that. He thinks he's in a position, a position to decide who must say what to whom and when. And part of me agrees with her on that. If Tucker Carlson wants to give a platform to N. Fuentes, you can say he's a dangerous, horrible person. But you know what? I'm willing to bet if people, all of them, Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly could go back in time and interview, you know, Pol Pot or Hitler or Mussolini. They probably would do it in a heartbeat because they want to be able to ask those questions. Should they be condemned for giving those people a platform? I think there's a fine line here. And if you want to disagree with me, feel free. 800-922-6680. Or maybe you agree with me, but that's fine, too. So then of course, Steve Bannon gets in on this and he because he spoke and he accused Ben Shapiro and others for staunchly supporting Israel and say they're part of the Israel first crowd, not the America first crowd. So then JD Vance has got to come in for cleanup and try to bring everybody back together again. And I'm just curious your take on all this because this just makes me really sad. We have the midterms coming up and the midterms are going to be a disaster if we don't start to stick together. So coming up, believe it or not, Nicki Minaj brings the love. And so did Scott Jennings. Going to share that next on the Rob Carson Show.

Yay. That's more like it as much. More like it. Thank you so much. I'm Mary Walter in for Rob Carson. Yes, I'm with you for two weeks. It's so exciting. It'll be like we're in a relationship by that point. All right, I just quickly want to go to cut nine. This, this is Scott Jennings and giving his opinion on the whole Ben Shapiro and the feud with everybody else and everybody piling on Ben Shapiro. And here's part of this that bothers me. There seems to be a very big anti Israel movement among young men on the right. And I think this is a very dangerous thing. And I think Tucker and Megan and Steve Bannon all piling on. Ben sends a very bad message. I think we need to have freedom of speech and let people decide for themselves. But they didn't do that. All right, so here's Scott Jennings on cnn.
Scott Jennings
You know, as a Republican, I always tell people we're a political party. We're not a sponge. You know, we don't have to absorb everything that oozes in under the door. I mean, if you had a political party meeting, Republican meeting, and somebody came in and said, hey, I have an idea. Let's raise all the taxes to 100%, you'd beat them up and throw them out. So if somebody oozes in and says, hey, I have an idea, deny the Holocaust. Let's, you know, turn our back on Israel. Let's attack the Jews and blame them for everything going on in our world, why wouldn't we treat them the same way? This is our ally. This is a Democratic ally of the United States. We have a shared Judeo Christian heritage. This is the underpinning, the pillars of Western civilization that we're upholding together. And you want the conservative movement to attack all that and turn against that. So. So my view is the Republican Party and the conservative movement very much can tell the difference between right and wrong. I think the left in this country is having a real trouble with that. But we cannot fall victim to the same thing. I do think some people are dabbling in this to make money, to get attention. And I think in the case of Candace, what she has done to a grieving widow and forced that poor Erica Kirk to pay attention to her, to meet with her to say the things about this also, she can make a few extra bucks on some kind of a podcast. Is nothing short of disgusting and vile. And I'm sorry Erica Kirk has had to go through that. The turning point, folks are trying to keep an organization going in the wake of a horrific murder. And here you have somebody coming along and making it about themselves and in the process, smearing the Jewish people and smearing Israel. It's disgusting.
Mary Walter
I agree with Scott Jennings. It is disgusting, and it's just wrong. In my. Again, in my humble opinion. All right, again, if you want to chime in, 800-922-6680, or you can also reach out to me on X at just look for Mary Walter Radio, which, by the way, I have to pull up. Let me pull up X, because I don't have X. Up in case you do want to reach out to me, I will be able to, to get. Oh, my gosh, look at all these notifications. All right, I'll have to do that during the break anyway. Let's go to Nicki Minaj now. Now, I don't have all the Nicki Minaj cuts that I thought I had, so let's, let's go with what we got, shall we? So we'll start with cut five. This is Nicki Minaj. Now, remember, this woman campaigned for Obama, Hillary and Bernie Sanders. Now, she did, she did put in for Trump. She started to come to the right. She was with the Trump administration when she, when Trump was discuss discussing possible action against Nigeria because of the slaughter of the Christians in Nigeria, she appeared courtesy of the administration at the U.N. talking about that, talking about that horrific injustice. And so she worked with the White House, she teamed up with the Trump White House to speak at the UN to raise awareness about the persecution against Christians in Nigeria. Now, on November 1, she posted a screenshot of a Trump truth social post where he said, Christianity is facing an existential. I can't say that word, threat in Nigeria. And she wrote, she posted it, reposted it, and wrote, reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. And she went on to say, we don't have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other. Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror, and it's dangerous to pretend that we don't know to. And she thanked, quote, the president and his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let's remember to lift them up in prayer. And she also has been attacking Governor Newsom over his stance on transgender children. All right, so let's go to cut five. This is. Nicki Minaj is starting out talking about President Trump and J.D. vance.
Nicki Minaj
I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president. He, he has. I don't know if he even knows this, but he's given so many people hope that there's a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact. He's from Queens, New York, like me.
Mary Walter
So.
Nicki Minaj
But what it's shown me personally is sometimes, you know, even at, even in the worst feeling times in your life, you think that you're never going to come back from it, but you do. And our president shows that he's been through every single thing a person could be through publicly having to constantly be lied on. It's not really that funny. Until you are in that person's shoes that's being lied on, you'll never understand what it feels like. That person is a human being. They have a family who has to read those lies. And that's not. And it's just not fair. But this administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them. Our vice president, he makes me. Well, I love both of them. They're both powerful men. Smart, strong, all of that. But both of them have a very uncanny ability to be someone that you relate to. I can relate to them. When I hear them speak, I know that they're one of us. Like, I know that they're not. Don't you guys agree? They haven't. They haven't lost. They haven't lost touch of the world. You know, they're still connected to the world and what's happening in the world with the younger people and old people, with the richer people and not so rich people, they have the ability to still connect and be real and make us feel proud to be American.
Mary Walter
Yeah. And I thought that that was so interesting. Here's Nicki Minaj. Couldn't come from a more different world than Donald Trump or J.D. vance. Right. And actually more J.D. vance than Donald Trump. And she's saying they have the ability to connect with people. And that's so true. So, so true. And here's Nicki Minaj, who I can't connect with at all. And here she is. And I actually stopped what I was doing yesterday because it was on the television, and I just heard it, and I was like, who is this? And I turn around, I'm like, who is this? And I'm looking, I'm like, oh, my gosh, is that Nicki Minaj? I was like, whoa. It really blew me away. And here she is having this conversation with Erica Kirk, and she's getting cheers from this audience. All right, a little bit more with Nicki Minaj. We've got that coming up, so don't go anywhere. And if you want to join me, 800-922-6680 here on the Rob Carson Show. Yes. Who does not love Trans Siberian Orchestra? These people. You know, you got to hand it to them. Trans Siberian Orchestra has somehow managed to make a career only off of Christmas concerts. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I mean, I guess they'd go into New Year's, right? And. And I assume they have other songs that they play besides the ones that we all know. But I do love their music. I don't know if I could listen to, like, I don't know, do they have singers? I like their music from the Christmas stuff. But, you know, kudos to them. Good for them. They found a niche. I love it. All right, let's go to cut six. This is Nicki Minaj. She was asked about how she deals. You know, Erica Kirk was talking about, you know, because Nicki Minaj said something about having the right to change your mind. And she said, you know, we have to. People have to learn that it's okay for you to change your mind. And I agree with that. When people say, oh, well, Trump or even Obama or. But Biden change his mind. So, okay, my bad. Obama. You know, any president or famous person comes out with a different opinion, I think it's okay to do that. Because a lot of times, if you hear an opinion that challenges yours, if you're not. But if you're not emotionally based, if you're mentally based and not emotionally based, then you are able to handle something that challenges your ideas, and you're able to then maybe grow and change your mind from it. Right. If you present it with new evidence, you change your mind. I think that's a healthy thing. I don't think that's a failing. So Erica Kirk asked her about how she deals with the haters because she has changed her mind because she was supporting Obama and Hillary and. And Sanders. And now she. Here she is at Amfest and praising President Trump and J.D. vance. How does she deal with the haters? This is a cut six, Brian, you are getting a lot of backlash from your own industry.
Nicki Minaj
What is your reaction to that? I didn't notice. Amen. I feel the same way.
Mary Walter
When people are like, what do you think about them?
Nicki Minaj
I'm like, I don't think about them. Bingo. We don't even think about them. We don't have time to.
Mary Walter
We're too busy building.
Nicki Minaj
Right? Yeah, we're the. We're the cool kids.
Talkspace Sponsor
Okay?
Mary Walter
The other.
Nicki Minaj
The other. The other people, they're the ones who are still just disgruntled, but really they're just disgruntled with themselves.
Mary Walter
They.
Nicki Minaj
They are angry with themselves, you guys. So you can't wake up and think about somebody who is determined to just stay mad.
Mary Walter
Yeah, you can't. And. And I think that's great, being able to ignore haters. It's a hard thing to do. It really is. But you know what? If we're Being honest, some point in our life, we've all been the victim of a, like a little bullying in school or being made fun of. You know, I got glasses in second grade. That was really rough. Although as an adult, I now have 2020 vision. No Lasix people. 2020 vision. So, you know, it's hard. I think we all remember being made fun of because of an outfit we wore to school that we thought was really cool, only to find out it was sadly not really cool. And you, you called your mom and she was like, no, I'm not coming to bring any new clothes. It's not happening. That was my mom snag. No, I had my white go go boots that I got in sixth grade and I thought they were the best thing ever. And somebody who was popular made fun of my boots. I. And I was like, destroyed. But when you realize that that stuff never really matters later in life, I think it helps you couch it in a certain way that, like, you don't matter to me. You just don't matter to me. And it's a very freeing thing. And also when you're Nicki Minaj or Erica Kirk, you can look at people and go, you don't matter to me because you are so high, so much higher above these people that I think it's a little bit easier. Let's go to cut seven. She was asked about role models for young men and the young men on the Republican side are going to make or break the party. I really thought they were going to make it. But with this movement towards Nick Fuentes and this anti Semitism, I fear that they may break the Republican Party, I really do. Or the conservative move, the MAGA movement, not necessarily the Republican Party because I don't think they're registering as Republicans. I think they're more maga and I fear they may break it. But here's Nikki talking about role models for young men. You think about for young men.
Nicki Minaj
For young men and for young men. Don't be new scum. Yes. See, dear young men, you have amazing role models, like our handsome, dashing president. And you have amazing role models, models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president. And when I say that.
Mary Walter
When I say that she was like, like, and what she described were alpha males, which is everything the left hates. I don't like the use of her word assassin, you know, on its stage with Erica Kirk. Poor choice of words. But I think, you know, when he debates, he is, you know, he's an assassin with the facts and the words. I don't know if that's what she meant, but that was an unfortunate choice of words on her part. Lastly, which I don't have, she did speak. She was asked why she spoke out on Nigeria and she said, you know, we have to, every time we pray in fellowship, we have to remember the people that are right now in this world hiding so they can pray in fellowship. She was talking about there, they're not coming on for, for just them. There's an attack on Christianity all over the world. And she went on to talk about the censoring of Christians in this country to shine a light on that. And she said, we absolutely cannot let people who have a problem with us worshiping God, we cannot have them in power. And she alluded to past people in power in this country who absolutely tried to sent who absolutely tried to censor Christians. So good for her. I was very happy with her. So good for that. So a good note with Nicki Minaj. All right, we're not done. We're coming back right after this on the Rob Carson Show. I'm Mary Walter in for Rob Carson. How are you? You? You doing good? If you're just joining us, where you been? Been having a good time. All right. We're going to talk a little bit of Jeffrey Epstein. You want to do that? You want to talk about Jeffrey Epstein, so. Oh, before I do that, just let me remind you, you can find me on X at Mary Walter Radio. There's no S in that Mary Walter Radio. There's one of me. So many people put an S on it. Walter. So carrying out a fine tradition of about two years. And you can catch the auto on Apple podcast, Spotify and Spreaker. I'll again look for Mary Walter Radio. Okay. We took care of the business. Let's talk about Epstein, shall We. And I want to hear from you. 800-922-6680. I gotta tell you, I think this is much ado about nothing. So here's what I think happens. There's gonna be no bombshells. There's. Because I don't think there's bombshells in there. If there was a bombshell about President Trump, which is what Democrats are just like, we got him this time. You know, they're Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner, and every time they think they got him, Donald Trump just goes beep, beep and runs off. So I just don't think there's a bombshell in there about Donald Trump. Because if there is. Right. A bombshell in the Epstein files, and I don't even know what the files are. It's pictures. It's. It's what I don't. If there's bombshell in there, it would have been leaked out. Obama would have leaked it out during the, oh, Biden years. Because we know that President Pudding Pants wasn't running the show. We know that, you know, Barack Obama was running the show. So he would have leaked that out. They would have leaked it out to keep Donald Trump out of the race when he came down while the escalator was 2015 and Jeffrey Epstein wasn't. Wasn't arrested into 2019. But I would have been leaked out to keep him out of the race when he was running against Biden. Right. Like, that's what, that's what would have happened. So I don't think there's anything in there about Trump. And there was a, one of the lawyers for one of the victims said that there's nothing about Donald Trump. She never heard or saw anything about Donald Trump, negative about him. And here's a, here's my problem with these files is we have to be super careful, and we're not being super careful in the left's zeal to get Trump. There's a lot of people who can be smeared by this. And the, and the criticism is that, first of all, Pam Bondi didn't release it all when she was poster. There was a deadline. And I'm like, since when does the left care about deadlines? Like, that's new. But they put out, like, 400,000 pages. Nobody's gonna read them all. If they dumped them all, you'd complain that nobody can read all of this that quickly. And, and there's a lot of redactions. Like, there's some pages that, like, the whole thing's redacted. I Find it hard to believe that that's all about a victim. Like, why can't you just take the victim's name and black that out and whatever the rest of that is, put it out there, as ugly as it may be, Right? But I think we may smear some people in the process. Just because there's a picture of Bill Gates with a girl with her face blacked out or Bill Clinton in a hot tub without a shirt on with someone next to him who's got her face blacked out doesn't mean anything untoward happened. You know, how many times. How many times have you been to an island? You walk around and you rarely go, like, in the back, away from the water, away from the activities and the restaurants and stuff. You go back, there's like, employee housing. There's all sorts of, like, little huts and buildings and everything. And you just assume it's infrastructure. It's the kitchen or it's. Or it's, you know, the utilities or. Or the laundry room or whatever. You just make that assumption. You don't know what's going on in there. So just because you were at that resort doesn't mean that you participated in, you know, sex trafficking or something else that may be happening there. So we think we need to be super careful. And I'm afraid that people that lives will be destroyed if we're not. That being said, if the law says we got to put it all out there, Put it all out there. Redact the names. That shouldn't be that hard to do. You know, give somebody a black, you know, sharpie and just have them go through and redact the names. It can't be that tough. So. So I think we. I think we need to do that. So anyway, Scott Jennings. God love Scott Jennings. He was on CNN with this, and he. They were criticizing, of course, the dump, because there were pictures of Donald Trump that were on there, and then they were taken out. And there was like, a picture of Donald Trump and Melania with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Okay? There was also. It was on a debt. It was on a death, like a credenza type thing. And there was a draw open. And there were pictures in there, too, But John Paul II's picture was there in a frame. So am I supposed to believe that the Pope's indicted? The former Pope's indicted in this. What? Again, we have to be careful. Here's Scott Jennings talking about what was redacted and maybe why. Scott, don't you think that because they are not releasing everything that Congress and the president signed to say you have to release this in 30 days. Doesn't it give more fodder for the conspiracies that exist? I mean, they're not following the law.
Scott Jennings
Well, look, they've released how many documents tonight? 200,000?
Mary Walter
More.
Talkspace Sponsor
More.
Nicki Minaj
410% of that.
Scott Jennings
So a good faith effort is being made to release files tonight.
Mary Walter
Really?
Scott Jennings
They're obviously doing that. And I think as it relates to redactions, my impression is, is that there's a whole lot of names of victims in there and minors and other people that you probably wouldn't want to release and they do need to be redacted. Regarding Bill Clinton, I'm sorry to tell you the reason that Bill Clinton's picture is in the Epstein files is because this has always been a story about Bill Clinton and not Donald Trump. We should call it the Clinton files, not the Epstein files. That's what we're learning tonight. This is the Clinton files. This is the blowing up in the face of the Democrats over this. It's Bill Clinton. This is a story about Democrats and Bill Clinton and it's always been that way.
Nicki Minaj
Pictures of Donald.
Mary Walter
He's right. And we have, I mean, several people have come forward and cautioned and said this is not going to play out the way Democrats want it to play out. There's, they just refuse to listen to any kind of, I guess any kind of opposition say, you know, you're not going to get Donald Trump in this one. And they're just so convinced that Donald Trump is guilty that they've got him. And that's why, that's why it hasn't been released before. But when you ask them, well then why wouldn't Joe Biden release it? They leaked out his tax returns. Why wouldn't they launch instead of, instead of leaking out the, the pictures of anything against in the Epstein files, instead of leaking that out, they chose to instead hire a foreign agent to come up with a fake dossier on Donald Trump and then work it through the FBI to get it to the media and get all these people involved to get Trump. They chose that instead of just leaking out the, some damning Epstein files pictures, etc, that's what they chose. I didn't make any sense. And then they can't wrap their, their tiny little brains around it and they just call you a horrible name and block you. And that's how it goes. So, okay, so what happened is over the weekend actually put this dump out on Friday and over the weekend the DOJ didn't say anything, but they quietly removed 16 photographs from the website that they created that they've been putting the Epstein files on. And the removals, like I said, there was no notice, there was no explanation. And there was that picture inside a credenza draw in Jeffrey Epstein's Manhattan home. And there were other photographs in there. And there was a picture of JP2, and there was at least one of Trump. The other 12 that were removed. 12 that were removed depicted Epstein's third floor massage room, which is a central crime scene in the federal investigation. So that can legally be removed, but it shouldn't have been put out there anyway. And some images of the same room, though, are still public. Others have disappeared. So what the left is all upset about is they're saying that Congress did not authorize a rolling review. It was all supposed to be out by a certain time on Friday. The Epstein Files Transparency act compels the Justice Department to release all Epstein related materials in its possession. It imposed a mandatory disclosure obligation, and it permits only limited redactions to protect victims. It granted no authority to retract, revise, or curate records after they were released. Once the department published those materials, the law required that they remain available to the public. Removing them place the department in direct conflict with the statute Congress enacted. So, in other words, they can't make a mistake out of how many thousands, hundreds of thousands of pages? There can't be one mistake. Because if you make a mistake and like, oh, my gosh, we didn't redact that name and you want to take that name out, can't do it. You put it up there, can't do it. So now, of course, the left, instead of looking at the contents they want, they're going to have to pay on bonding. She must be impeached. She must be removed because she took down pictures after they were already published and she didn't put everything out at the right time. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we ran the government that way all the time? Wouldn't that be awesome, you know, if we made sure that, oh, I don't know, only people who are supposed to vote in our elections actually did that? People who aren't supposed to vote in our elections don't. And if they do, they're punished. Or if people who raise their right hand and swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth in front of Congress and then don't, are actually punished for perjuring themselves, that would be awesome, too. But. But the. The outrage over not following the letter of the Law. Exactly. Seems to be very small. Like it's a very narrow window. It's a very narrow tolerance for, for not doing that. All right. Also, you know, the other thing too is you got to be careful because in these files, a lot of supposedly the victims are upset because they named names. And to, to the investigators, I think you have to be careful with that because again, a victim can name a name, but without an investigation, I don't think you have the right to publish that because people aren't going to read allegedly in front of it and lives are, could possibly be ruined. I don't think that's fair. And listen, I may think some of these people are pretty scummy. I may not like them. I may be glad that, you know, Bill Gates and Bill Clinton's pictures are all over the place with girls with black bars across the face like they were a before picture. Right. I could be happy, gleeful almost about that. But it's not right to condemn them because you don't know if they actually did anything wrong other than pose for a picture. Famous people posing people all the time for pictures. You don't know. And just because they post doesn't mean they did anything wrong with that person. They may not have known what was going on. You don't know. So, so I think we have to take all of this with a grain of salt. You can disagree with me. 8009-2266-8080-0922-6680 or drop me Attack Me in a note on X at Mary Walter Radio. Coming up, Todd Blanche is the guy who's been sent out to hit the hit the show. So he was on Sunday's, NBC's Sunday yesterday on NBC's Meet the Press with Chris Kristen Welker. And we'll show tell you what he had to say on this whole thing with the Epstein files coming up. So he's out there running cover for the administration. That's next on the Rob Carson Show. Poor little Democrats.
Are you guys okay today that I came in to check on you? Every time Trump does something good, you guys spaz out.
Would you guys shut up and let him work? I gotta tell you, Rob's music kind of runs contrary to his 70s disco decorating tastes. Do you know what I mean? Kind of a disconnect for me. Just saying. That's it. All right, so let's go to Todd Blanche. He was Donald Trump's personal lawyer. You would see him when Trump had to go see sit in Engeron's Judge Engoron's courtroom and he'd be standing behind him all stone faced, looking, trying to fluff himself up to me, you know, look himself, make himself look big. So he was on Meet the Press yesterday on NBC with Kristen Welker. And he, he, she's asking him now, this is the first question because she's really pressing him about whether everything is going to be released because they just can't believe that everything is going to be released. Here's Todd Blanche. Is any information about President Trump redacted in any of the files that have or will be released?
Todd Blanche
No, not unless it's supposed to be redacted under the law, which means victim information or any sort of privilege like attorney client privilege. But I have no reason to believe that the lawyers that were working on this case were talking about President Trump because he had nothing to do with the Epstein files. He had nothing to do with the horrific crimes that Mr. Epstein committed. And so I don't expect there will be anything redacted. But the short answer is we are not redacting information around President Trump, around any other individual involved with, with Mr. Epstein. And that narrative, which is not based on fact at all, is completely false.
Mary Walter
Completely false. They just can't believe it. And I think part of it is because we know that Democrats wouldn't release everything. Like, I'm pretty sure Democrats would not release everything. That's just me. But I think that they're, they're afraid that Republicans may play the game like them. And by now they should know that Republicans aren't going to play the game like them because Republicans never do play the game like them, which is why Democrats win a lot and Republicans don't win a lot. All right, quickly, we'll get this last cutting cut for this is her pressing him even more. Can you guarantee, Are you sure? Kristen Welker's like, really, really, she's trying to break Todd Blanche and he ain't breaking, just doubling down. Are you sure? Here's Todd Blanche. Can you guarantee that every mention and every photo of President Trump in the Epstein files will be released?
Todd Blanche
Yes. Yes. I mean, I've said it three, four times now. We've said it before and President Trump has said it repeatedly since before he was elected as and since he was elected. All summer long, he said the same thing. I have nothing to hide. And so of course that's the case. But let me just make sure everybody understands something. To the extent that he is, quote, in the Epstein files, it's not because he had anything to do with the horrific crimes, full stop. But, yes, if President Trump is mentioned, if there's photographs that we have of President Trump or anybody else, they, of course, will be released with the exception of any victims or survivors that we've identified, which we will either not release that photograph if it's just a photograph of a survivor, or if we do release the photograph because there's other individuals in the picture, the survivor's face or her entire body in some cases will be redacted.
Mary Walter
All right. And listen, we're not going to know till it's all out whether they do that or not, Right? And I think, I think even after it's all out that the left is going to scream that you didn't release everything. I don't know. Again, you can disagree with me, but I think that nothing big is going to come out. I don't think anything big isn't going to come out about anybody. I just don't. Because I think while Republicans aren't smart enough to release the bombshells in the beginning, you know, and make Democrats say, stop it, I don't think that's going to happen. But I just don't think that there's. I don't know. I would like to know the names of the perpetrators of. Some of these people broke the law. Some of these men broke the law with these young girls, fine. But you know, what if they didn't know they were underage? There's a whole lot of questions here that give me pause. You hear stories from guys who get in a relationship with someone who says, no, I'm 18 and has a fake ID, and she'll look, look, look, I'm 18, 19 years old. Here's my ID even look. And they're like, oh, you know, all right. And then they get dinged for having sex with an underage girl, only to find out, well, she showed him an ID that was fake. Like, how is this on him? You can only do so much. So I, and I'm not saying that happened. I don't know, but I think there's a lot of, well, you knows, in there. There's a lot of things that could happen. So if you want to jump in, 800-922-6680. There are pictures, as I said, of Bill Clinton in there and with Epstein, they're wearing matching shirts, coordinating shirts, interacting with a dancer sitting with a redacted woman on his lap on what looks like an airplane and someone who appears to be Michael Jackson. He's also seen Bill Clinton's Also seen it sitting at dinner next to Mick Jagger alongside Maxwell and Epstein. There's a lot of famous people in this, so I think we have to be careful, not try to protect anybody. Just think we need to be careful. Coming up, I want to talk to you about what happened in New York State and the results of a little experiment there. And you might be surprised. Pleasantly so. Pleasantly surprised. That's coming up on the Rob Carson Show. It's the most wonderful time of the.
Nicki Minaj
Year.
Brian
With the kids, Jingle bell and.
Mary Walter
Everyone telling you be of good cheer. Oh, it's the most wonderful time of the year. I mean, I like Michael Buble, as I said earlier. Hence, I think this. Oh, it's Harry Connick. Oh, I stand corrected. Okay, I do like Harry Connick too. But this is the first time I think I've ever heard a Christmas song with a bongo in the beginning of it. Did you catch the bongo in the beginning? I'm like, oh, we're doing the Ricky Ricardo thing here. Remember Ricky Ricardo and his bongos? Or it was very like 19, like a little 19 6. I get it was jazz. I get it. I'm not stupid. No, don't yell at me. Don't write me notes. I don't know if I dug that at all. Like, I'm a big purist when it comes to my Christmas carols and Christmas movies. I like the original. I've never seen the remake of the Grinch with Jim Carrey. Never saw it. It's a different story. So, no, I haven't seen it. I like the original with Boris Karloff and the song and little Cindy Lou who. I like the original. I don't like the new one. That's. But again, I'm a purist. Alright, so let's go to New York, shall we? New York State Governor Kathy Hochul. This could actually be something that she championed that actually is good. New York State banned phones in public schools from the first bell to the last bell. And it started in September. So you're only a couple of months in. They call it the great phone lockup. But within weeks, teachers began to notice something. And I'm curious, I want to get your opinions. I'm going to tell you this, but in the meantime, I want to give you a chance to call in. How do you feel about the kids having to lock up their phones? Like, no cell phones from the time the first bell rings to the time the last bell rings? No cell phones. 800-922-6680. They're put in a Pouch. Like some schools have pouches that you have to put them in that lock. Some schools have like a locker that you have to put them. They have different ways of doing it. One high school, a senior bought a pouch unlocking magnet on Amazon and then was charging classmates a dollar per jailbreak. Hilarious. I didn't go for long, but so. So I want to know how you feel about it. How do you feel about the kids not having the phones in the classrooms? And I think parents are more upset about it than the kids. And I'll tell you why coming up. But I think parents are more upset about it than the kids because the parents like, oh my gosh, I have to be in touch with my child at all times. Again, I'm Gen X. I was raised feral and I understand that baby boomers were raised more feral than we were. But my parents had no clue where we are. Never like they just trusted us. And I grew up in New Jersey when it was rural. There was 500 acres of woods behind my parents house. We would go into those woods and we never came home to eat. My mother had no clue what we had for lunch. She just assumed that we ate at someone's house or we ate the berries that we knew weren't going to kill us. They were like wild blackberries. We would eat. We drank the water out of somebody's hose. Right? Right. And we would go ice skating. We disappear. There was a pond, we would go ice skating. My mother just be like okay, be home, you know, before dark. We're like okay. And we were smart enough to watch this guy make sure we're home before dark. And we'd skate on a pond that the quote unquote big kids tested. They were like 15, the big kids who tested it and they're the ones who made the bonfire. My mother would send us off with a bag of marshmallows for the bonfire in the woods that the 15 year olds were making. And nobody knew where we were. But now parents are in touch with their kids at all times. They know where their kids are playing. They know with whom their kids are playing because they make play dates for them. Kids just aren't allowed to just go and just disappear and use their imagination and probably break a bone every now and then. Happens, especially if you have boys, happens, you know, hurt. They have to learn how to get out of jams, you know, we had to learn how to think and we had to learn sense of direction and we had to notice the sun setting and how to get home based on where the sun. It was a different world. So I think parents are more upset about this than kids. And I'm just curious how you feel about it. 800-922-6680 or shoot me a. Tag me in a. A tweet. That's the word. A tweet on X at Mary Walter Radio. Okay, so the teachers are saying there is now a pleasant buzz in the lunchroom. There is chatter in the hallways and a whole bunch of new hobbies popping up just about everywhere that do not involve cell phones because kids don't know how to talk to each other. If you tell them, here, call, call, call the pizzeria, order a pie. They don't know how to do it. They'll get. I'll just get on the app or I'll get online and I'll do it. They don't know how to talk to people and order, apply, you know, or go to call customer service. Good luck. They don't know how to do any of that. They much prefer voiceless, faceless communications. So now they're having to learn it. They said. At a lot of the schools, teachers have made cards or board games, sports equipment available during free time. There's a coach who is also a teacher at the Math, Engineering and Science Academy Charter school in Bushwick. And that coach hands out volleyballs every lunch period. He said, a lot more kids are playing this year than we're playing last year. He said, there's no net. It's just open space. They form their own circles of 10 or 12 kids, and they hit it up to each other. There's an equal number of girls and boys. A ninth grader added at a. I guess that would be freshman in high school. Right. Is in a friend group that congregates in the foyer to stack. Okay, play tiles. I don't know what that is. And compete at. Sorry. Remember. Sorry, Sorry. Okay. Milton Bradley and other tabletop games during lunch. And this kid said, I'd say it makes us closer. Honestly, half the people I'm playing board games with, I didn't know it all before this. In another school, it's Domino's because they said Domino's is a staple of staple Dominican game. And the school has a high number of Dominican kids of Dominican descent. People get passionate. You have to slam that first piece down on the table. At Brooklyn Technical High School, the name of the game is poker. The kids bet with hair ties. A junior there says about a half a dozen games go on during free periods. The kids just get together and they're starting to organize, which is great. This is all the stuff. Because when you have nothing but apps on your phone and games and things like that, the rules are put out for you. This is how you do it. You know, that's how it is. So I love this. Do you love that? I love this. 800-922-6680 Would you be comfortable with your kids or your grandkids having to go phone free in school? And again, I think the parents, I think the kids probably hated this. They, they moaned, they, they hated it. And then once they get into it, like I said, it's like what, three months in and they're meeting new kids, they're having a great time, they're loving it. Other students have discovered what they're calling vintage technology like game boys and MP3 players. One of the sophomore at a school in Queens said he bought a Walkman on Amazon last year, a CD Walkman which was I don't think worked as well as, as the tape recorder Walkman because the cassette Walkman because if you bounced it around too much, it skipped. And since the phone band started, he has started packing his dad's old CDs, the Doors, Weezer and he says he takes him to school. He said my favorite one is probably no Doubt's Tragic Kingdom. I like the vocals and he shares earbuds at lunch and swaps recommendations with friends. He said one of his friends has gotten him into Queens. It's great. And honestly, I think a lot of today's music, I know I sound like I'm 10,000 years old, but I think there's a reason why 70s rock is an 80s music is still like a thing because you can play it in the car with your kids because there's not a lot of swearing in it and it's not super graphic. And so I think that a lot of kids grew up on that music, that 70s, 80s, maybe into the 90s music that we all grew up on. So that's what you play for your kids. And so they love this stuff. So I'm curious. 800-922-6680. What do you think? One guy, one seventh grader in Williamsburg, his mother said he is a different kid than he was in his phone carrying days. He was forced into the rapid learning and uses usage of technology. During COVID he had to attend home from school via zoom. And she said now his phone is no longer clutched by his side to run to after dinner or before bed. There have even been a couple of days where he's Left his phone home accidentally after school. He noticed kids gathering around chessboards during lunch. So he signed up for the chess club after school. A junior at another high school said that, you know, because junior is really hard and you're studying, you got to do papers and apply to college and all that kind of stuff. But she said she it became hard to do homework during classes because you never phone with her. But she started printing out her study guides, and she said she found that reviewing it on paper works better because I don't get distracted by notifications on her phone. And she said she and her friends have developed a free period ritual they do during their free period to relieve stress. They just sketch. They just sketch and don't do schoolwork. And that's how they do it. So if you want to jump in. 800-922-6680. Wrapping it up. Coming up on the Rob Carson Show. Oh, no bongos. Mary Walter in for Rob Carson. All right, talking about New York cell phone ban. New York state bell to bell. Kids can't use your cell phones. They have unsanctioned cell phone use is prohibited. And they store them differently. Each school district decides how they want to do it from kindergarten through senior in high school, they are banned and three months in. And the kids seem to be pretty happy with it. I'm sure there are some kids who are very unhappy with it, but there are kids overall seem to be learning some new skills like how to socialize. Let's go to Nathan in New Hampshire disagrees with me. And that's great. Nathan, you're on the Rob Carson Show. Welcome.
Brian
Hey, how's it going?
Mary Walter
I'm doing good. Go ahead.
Brian
You know, as a parent, I think just whatever happens to good old consequences for your actions. And, you know, hearing that we're taking kids property from them as a, as a solution. If kids run in the hallway, we're not taking their shoes. Right. There's consequences for your actions. So if a mass shooter comes in the building, how is my child supposed to contact me?
Mary Walter
Well, they actually took this into consideration and this was discussed. And the feeling was is that, yes, it's hard. You want a communication with your child, but there's also the fear that phone going off can give away a child's location if they're hiding. Also, text noises can also give away a child's location. And it can also a student can inadvertently give out location information in the midst of it and give out the wrong information because of the chaos. So SWAT team, according to Syracuse Police Chief Cecil he said that his SWAT teams are beginning to understand the new band and are training with it in mind several times a month. So they're doing practice drills to help students understand how we keep them safe in those spaces. And the less we focus on a distraction like a phone, the safer the students can. The more concentrated the kids are going to be on being safe. They're not going to stop to call their parents and, you know, in a panic instead of doing what they're supposed to do in the event of a shooting. So that's the. That's the logic.
Brian
I guess my second question, secondary question would be, what? Whatever happened to good old consequences? Why does that not work?
Mary Walter
Well, you know, I've seen many, plenty of videos of teachers being assaulted, attacked, punched, knocked down because they took a kid's phone. You know, I've seen. I can countless. One teacher got knocked out is brain damage because her head hit the floor, because this kid came up behind her and punched her in the back of the head, and she went flying. And. And he's a kid, so nothing happens to him.
Brian
Right, Right.
Mary Walter
So listen, it's an experiment, right now, it seems to be going well. And listen, what do we do? If there was. Listen, I was in school, kids would call them bomb scares, people. Somebody call them bomb scare because they don't want to go to school. Our parents had no clue.
Brian
Yeah, right.
Mary Walter
And then when it was all over, we're like, hey, guess what happened at school today? And my mom's like, oh, so was there a bomber? Like, no, there was no bomb, mom, because we're here. And that was the end of it. They took us out of the school, and that was it. But it's a good question, Nathan. And I think, like I said, I think it upsets parents more than kids just for that reason. All right. Merry Christmas, Nathan. Thank you so much for joining me here on the Rob Carson Show. Yeah, I think. Think specifically for that reason. And I was anticipating that, which is why I looked it up. But I get it. I get it, because you want to know that your kid's okay, and now we have the ability to do so. We forget how our parents, you know, had no clue. Like, our parents had no idea. Again, there'd be a bomb scare in school and we'd all be, you know, you got to go like a fire drill out the doors and this and that, and the police come and. And all this stuff, and we're sitting on the lawn, you know, clothes close enough that if the building blew up, we probably would have Been damaged, but you know, technically out of the school. And my parents didn't know till you went home and you told them that was it. There was like no phone call to my parents or anything along those lines. I won't be like, anything happened at school today? Or like, yeah, it's really cool. There's a bomb scare. She's like, oh, okay, what happened? And they're like, that was it. And I'm not saying, I'm not trying to downplay the threat of a shooter. I get that. I understand that. That that's much more likely to happen. I understand that. But I also do see the downside of having a phone with. For a kid, you know, with God forbid their parent calls them, go, are you okay? And the phone goes off. And now the shooter knows where they are. If they had been hiding. So I can see both sides of it. We'll have to see how this little experiment goes. Wrap it up. Coming up on the Rob Carson Show. I was just told that this is Rob Carson's favorite. My favorite is, you know, Leonard Cohen's Alleluia. That's song. It was taken and rewritten by a group called Cloverton and you can find it on YouTube. And I'm shocked that it hasn't been more widely played. I don't know if, like they have some kind of copyright on it or something, I don't know. But it's beautiful. And they rewrote it to tell the story of Christmas. There was new room at the inn. You know, they came to Bethlehem. There was no room in the inn. And they wrote it to Leonard Cohen's Alleluia, which I happen to just think is one of the most beautiful songs. I don't get. I don't get the lyrics to it. She tied you to the kitchen chair. She cut your hair. Like, I. I don't get the lyrics. Supposedly there's deep meaning behind them. I don't know, it sounds to me like, you know, it was written on a really bad acid trip. But the Alleluia with the Christmas lyrics is absolutely one of my favorite. That one and Bing Crosby and David Bowie doing the Little Drummer Boy. That to me, those two are just my all time favorites. Anyway. All right, so here's something. People love these driverless cars. Like I. These way. I think they're called Waymo. Waymo. I will not get in a driverless car. It's not happening. I'm sorry. I've seen too many stories where it just like kept going around the block and around the block and around the block, and you can't get out. You can't get out or where it. This is what happened. This is the story. Yes. So someone told me that they took away MO when they were out west, and they gave them. You drop a pin in your location where you want to go on. When. When you say, this is where I want to go, I want to go to 56, you know, main Street. And so you drop the pin there. But if there's. If it's like a store and there's a car parked there in front, it won't pull up behind that car. It'll. It'll. It'll just keep going around and around and around until it can park exactly where you drop the pin. So I'm like, that's ridiculous. So. And imagine like, no, drop me off here. I'll just get out here. How many times have you said that to an Uber driver? When there's been traffic, I'm like, just. Especially in, like, Manhattan. Like, just drop me off here. It's fine. Well, there was a massive power outage in large parts of San Francisco on Saturday. It knocked out electricity to about 130,000 homes and businesses. They're big on the driverless cars out there, but because there were blackouts, there were no traffic lights. And these cars can see the yellow, the green, the red. So, like, they know when to stop. So because they couldn't see it, they didn't know what to do at the intersection where if you have a human, you're going to look both ways and go, okay, the lights out. I'm going to look both ways and then proceed safely. They didn't do it. There were autonomous vehicles stopped everywhere, causing huge traffic jams everywhere. I'm so glad we don't have those here. I'm Mary Walter. I'm back in with you tomorrow. Thank you, Brian. Enjoy the rest of your week. You're off. And thank you so much to Ken. See you guys tomorrow on the Rob Carson Show.
