Federal agents have spent months searching for allegations against the governor's wife. Federal agents contacted more than a dozen people associated with Newsoms The Newsoms. After former Chief of staff Dana Williamson was was indicted in 2025 in connection with the corruption scheme that stemmed from before she worked for the governor. She was offered leniency in exchange for information about Newsom had none. A whistleblower has come forth about this apparent grift where he was doing behest payments. He would go to companies and businesses and say, hey, if you give 100,000 or however many dollars to my wife's charity, that does not nothing, then something good might happen to you. Behested payments are technically legal in California because of course they are, but they might not be the way Gavin Newsom is doing them. A great example of this from the Washington Free Beacon, February 2024, Newsom behested $99,000 from the Central Valley Community foundation to his wife's California Partners project. Nine days later, Newsom awarded a $14 million no bid contract to the Central Valley Community Foundation.

The very next day, Gavin gets greased, CVS gets a stock bump. And the only downside is Californians just have to pay, you know, higher out of pocket costs for pharmaceutical drugs.

And money that was illegally taken from Becerra's campaign account, funneled through another consulting firm run by Gavin Newsom's former chief of staff and into the pocket of Becerra's chief of staff himself. Another story is that there's a separate investigation into tax payments involving the Newsoms that's based on whistleblowers from within California. But all the serious reporters in Sacramento are saying that the origin of this is within California. Nothing to do with President Trump.

It's incredible, Rob. It's literally legalized corruption. It's astonishing. But that is the law. And this is the kind of thing you get when a party has been in power for 16 years and thinks it can get away with anything. So a politician can phone a business that they regulate. In this case, you've seen examples like PG and E, one of the big utilities in Northern California. The governor phones them up and says, I'd like you to give some money to this organization that I think is a good cause, happens to be, in this case, one run by his wife, and then she's paid from that organization. It's completely outrageous. And there are many other examples of Gavin Newsom and other politicians in California carrying out this kind of legalized corruption.

And even CNN did a report on it last night, which was pretty, pretty cool. I won't play that report because I don't have time to do it. Right. But I did mention this. I did mention this. You know, it's Pride Month. I don't know if it's Pride Month. Yeah, it's Pride Month. Everybody knows it's bloody Pride Month. Everybody's got Pride Month. Oh, my God. They did a hot dog night at the stadium because of Pride Night. I didn't even know. I don't even know. But it's kind of ridiculous. And ridiculous. You could say that the city of Annapolis, Maryland, just put out an emergency preparedness guide only for LGBTQIA plus people. They claim that lgbtq, whatever the hell, are more likely to be affected by a natural disaster. Democrat appointed Kevin Simmons is the director. I'm gonna look at this. This. You idiots in Annapolis. My God. What the hell is wrong with you? Emergency preparedness guide for LGBTQ RSTU community. Stay connected. Create a network of people who can help you during a disaster or when a storm blows in, I guess. I don't even know. Establish a buddy system for mutual check ins. Well, yeah, this is totally different than being straight. Ask your healthcare provider to get you an emergency supply of retroviral or hormonal medications. Because, you know, you wouldn't want to revert to your original sex during a storm. You'd be like, oh, look, I'm a girl. And then, oh, my God, I can't believe this storm. It would be weird. It would be just so weird. And then, you know, if you were a guy playing for a woman's team, then all of a sudden, you know, you grow a mustache.

We shall, we shall see. We shall see, brother. There's so much happening right now. You got this memorandum of understanding with Iran, the possibility of a millennial peace. I mean, all of these countries coming together to make sure that this happens. It's crazy what it's doing to crude prices. What's it going to do to gold prices, do you suppose?

Look, I think the world has been waiting to see what happens. And there was big movements to cash which strengthened the dollar and pushed the, the price of gold down. Now that it appears we have a resolution on the horizon or here, I think it frees the markets up to start moving. And I think ultimately gold prices go up. People have to remember gold was skyrocketing before anything happened in Iran. And that was on the back of structural issues. Debt, deficit, those haven't gone away. And I think now there's some clarity, we'll start to see gold moving again. And it's happening already, to be clear.
Rob Carson
Well, it's obviously finite and not as plentiful as say for instance, crude oil. You just don't load up ships with gold. You've got the existing, you know, the existing supply and that which is, you know, brought up and we, it's really hard to keep up with demand, honestly when it comes to gold. And we had a sell off back in January. It's given people a little bit of breathing room, brought the price down to 4,500, which by the way, if you would have said 10 years ago $4,500, you would have went what the heck are you talking about? But it's down from earlier this year.
Philip Patrick
It was 5,500 earlier this year. And honestly, if you said 4,500 two years ago, I was expecting aggressive upside in gold, but maybe not the pace. But listen, it's tied in directly to the pace of spending, debt, borrowing costs. Those things are very closely related. And like I said, President Trump has been dealing with a lot of issues that's a big one that still yet to be tackled. And look at the will be the long term.

Yeah, well, look at the debt we have. The American dollar is worth less. I think that only portends good things for precious metals. Kevin Wash, the Federal Reserve, I guess they're talking about lowering interest rates today. I'm not sure exactly what happened there. What do you, what does that mean, do you suppose, for the, for the country and the Federal Reserve.
Philip Patrick
Listen, he's got a very tough job. Kevin Walsh Obviously, there's a desire to drive rates down. If you look at the Fed's dual mandate, which is maximum employment and steady prices, there isn't a rationale for them to lower rates yet. In fact, many say there's a rationale to raise slightly. I don't think that will happen. What they're looking at now is different metrics, right? So he's talking. And there is, by the way, a reasonable case for looking at what, what they term trimmed mean inflation, which basically strips out extremely volatile things like oil prices today. So they're trying to find a way to lower rates. My concern is, you know, Americans don't live in the trim mean, right? We live in the real world. And if gasoline prices are elevated, grocery, electric bills, all of that, you know, even if they use another metric to say, hey, we can lower rates, if investors don't buy it, borrowing rates are going to go up. So I'm interested to see what happens with Kevin Walsh. I don't envy his position today. It's a tough position to be in, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I'm just saying Federal Reserve leaves interest rates unchanged signal support for a rate hike this year. We don't need a rate hike. What are you talking about? We don't need a bloody rate hike. You know, I got to tell you, I got friends who have mortgages at 2, 9. And when you look at the real estate prices around Washington, D.C. paying 5% is ridiculous. Is ridiculous.

Listen, I agree with you, but mortgage rates are dictated by borrowing rates, and borrowing rates are dictated by supply and demand. The Fed have lowered rates five times in two years. Mortgage rates and borrowing rates are going up regardless. And that was kind of the point that I was trying to make. Investors need to look at the decisions the Fed make, and they need to believe in them. If they don't, regardless of what the Fed do, borrowing rates will go up. So that's why I say I don't envy Kevin Walsh. He's got a tough job. He's got executive, executive pressure to lower, but he has market pressure to do the right thing.

I think that the economy is going to blow up. It's going to go skyrocketing. You've already got the return of manufacturing. You're building factories. Factories are able to write off 100% of their capital investments this year. You've got amazing things happening with no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security. It's freeing up some money. I think people kind of hunkered down a little bit with regard to the Iran conflict and inflation going up a bit. I think that this is going to really cause people to relax, begin to spend again and to invest again. What do you think?

Look, I think you're right. I absolutely do. And I think President Trump and the team have done an incredible job. And you've mentioned a few of those things, boosting manufacturing, we've got tariff revenue coming in. But the one thing I'm always focused on is debt and deficit. Right. That for me and I, I sound like a broken record. But if we don't get that under control, none of this matters. Growth is the most realistic way to tackle the problem. But we are going to need significant, really significant growth for it to outpace debt. And that's the big race. Right?

So I worry about it. I worry about it because we're $40 trillion. I don't know how the hell we pay it up off. I don't even know.

I don't have the answers. But until somebody has the answers, gold's going to keep going up and I think the dollar is going to keep sliding until somebody has the answer to that question.

If you believe that in Chicago a bunch of races would burn a cross and to send a message to black people. What an idiotic thing. Block Club Chicago reports that Michael, Reverend Michael Fliggs of St. Sabina Church offered a reward because there was this leftist who burned across and put a red hat on it to kind of blame it on maga. Racism has always been a part of America's DNA, and this week it was raised its bloody. It raised its head boldly and loudly. No, it didn't. You're just thinking the worst of America because you're a racist yourself. The bold rise of racism must be condemned by every race faith community in Chicago. And as was done with the swastika treated as a hate crime. Brandon Johnson said that the investigation remains ongoing. Like many Chicagoans across our city, we are deeply disturbed upon seeing the images which have emerged following this incident. We don't care that the murder rate black on Black crime, is 10 times the national average. We could give a rat's behind about that. But hate has no place in our community. Every Chicagoan deserves to feel safe, protected and respected. Unless you're in the inner city and it involves, you know, a bunch of kids killing each other. Several members of the council's Black Caucus learned about the incident Wednesday morning. When asked about it by the Block Club, Alderman Greg Mitchell was initially speechless when the reporter showed him the burning cross. Here's the problem. It was put there by an Asian man, Merlin Liu. Merlin Liu. He thought he would create another fake hate crime like. Like Jussie Smollett blaming it on Trump supporters when it really was just a couple of guy bodybuilders that he used to do videos with. You know, whatever that. And. And they faked the hate crime. They went to Home Depot or, I don't know, Ace Hardware and got a rope and I don't know what the. Anyway, you know, you know, it was a fake hate crime. Here is this punk being interviewed. This, this punk, this Merlin Lou, and now he realizes he's in a lot of hot water. He's under investigation for a federal hate crime.
