You are about to hear the most interesting, informative, thought provoking and funny show in America on air and on the World Wide web. This is the Rob Carson Show.
Rob Carson
And by the grace of gratitude, it's finally Friday, hour number three of the show. And we got a lot of stuff to get to.
Co-host/Guest
We do.
Rob Carson
I do actually. Oh my goodness. I'm a little, a little slap happy this weekend. Just, you know, big, big movie into Washington D.C. into the heart of D.C. and it's so fun, you know, I got to pinch myself sometimes. I, I drive by the Washington Monument on the way to work every day and it's something else. I'm gonna post a video of this morning when I drove in and I just, I never stopped looking at it with awe. It's something else. It really is just something else. It's so, so crazy to be here. And you know what else I noticed on the way in is I noticed the excited people who are here as tourists, who are patriotic and love to be here. That's who I notice more than anybody. Not the other commuters and whatnot. The people walking around with a sense of awe and their jaws agape. Can't, not, not able to believe they're even here. It's something else. It really is. It really is something else. I'll never stop. I'll never lose my sense about being here. So. And I'll do my level best to share the experience with you before we dive into a bunch of stuff. You know, I haven't done one of these in a while. We have a what A trigger warning update. Trigger warning update.
Christian Toto
Here it is.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Trigger warning. Trigger warning. If you are easily offended, please be advised.
Jim Gossett
Yes.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Trigger warning. Trigger warning. If you are easy.
Rob Carson
Do you know who that is? That's Redneck MacGyver. That's, that's Ken. That's Redneck MacGyver right there. He did that. He does that stuff. He's good at that stuff. You know what else he did? He also did this. We love to win.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Winning, winning. So much winning. It's lots of winning, Lots of winning,
Rob Carson
lots of winning, lots of winning, lots
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
of winning, lots of winning. It's oh, so good.
Rob Carson
Yeah, that's Redneck MacGyver right there, Ken. Redneck MacGyver. And by the way, the reason why I call him Redneck MacGyver is because he got an E bike just like me. But he figured out how to turn the governor off so it goes 45 miles an hour. And he told me he did that. He said the only complaint he had was when he was riding his mountain bike, the cigarette, the ashes from his cigar would get in his face. Redneck MacGyver. There you go. Now you heard about this? Have you heard about it? Because this is just kind of stupid. United Airlines gonna let passengers avoid Trump International, switch to Miami or Fort Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Lauderdale for free. This is just a complete. I mean, what an idiotic move by an airline that you. That adults would make this decision. United Airlines preparing for customers who may object to flying into Ronald Reagan Internet Donald Trump Airport reservation agents have been authorized to move those passengers to Fort Lauderdale or Miami without charging more. What a stupid thing. And first of all, if you're that stupid freaking petty, you know, do I want to fly into Harry Reid friggin International in Vegas? No, but it's kind of like the only airport there. What a stupid move by United Airlines. United Airlines giving reservation agents unusual flexibility to accommodate customers who can no longer want to fly to West Palm beach after it was renamed to Donald Trump. And if you, I mean, you are mentally friggin ill. If you can't fly into that airport, you, you are freaking mentally ill. According to an internal memo shared with Live and let's fly. Which I mean, that's a thing that I read all the time. I don't know what it is. United is in the process of updating its systems to rename West Palm Beach Airport to Donald Trump International. Most surprising guidance concerns customers who object to the airport's new name. If a customer. This is from the, this is the. The agents are supposed to say this. If a customer does not want to fly to the airport, use your empowerment to offer acceptable alternatives such as Fort Lauderdale Airport or Miami International. Here's what I suggest. If you fly out of Reagan national. Don't fly United. If you fly out of Reagan national, don't fly United. Screw United Airlines for this, honestly. Reagan National, Trump International, whatever, DJT Airlines, whatever the hell it is, the airport. Don't fly United if you really want to do that. United. You can bite me. There you go. I'm not gonna fly United out of, out of Reagan National. You know, you don't deserve to fly out of Reagan National. Thank you very much. Reagan national is something else. You've been a Reagan National. You ever see the scene in wizard of Oz when you, when they, when they walk in and they get into. And they're walking down that giant hallway and you see off way down in the distance, the wizards lair down there? And, and they. That's what Reagan national, the big terminal looks like. It looks kind of like that. It does. Right there, that main terminal. It looks like the wizard of Oz. It's kind of weird. You ought to go there sometimes. They got some good restaurants over there too, by the way. They have a bins chili bowl there. It's something else. Victor Davis Hansen, I want to share some. Victor Davis Hansen. I think he's fascinating, fascinating orator, brilliant man. And he was talking about the, the, the. You know, I've been saying that literally the last 30 years particularly is what I've noticed is the leftist march across the country in this idiotic leftist revolution started on campus and has moved on. But Victor Davis Hansen says, of course, this has been going on for at least 50 years and, and it has since the 60s. And we're kind of repeating the 60s with another generation of idiots. And here is Victor Davis Hanson talking about the progressive revolution and how we are. Are you ready for this? And this is, of course, of course, we are the counter revolutionaries, whether we
Victor Davis Hanson
realize it or not. We've been in a progressive revolutionary cycle for about 50 years. And by that I mean there has been the effort of most of the Democratic Party and now the radical elements to accelerate that efforts as emblemized by the Democratic Socialists to take control of government, expand it, redistribute income so that many people in blue state especially are paying over 10% of their income in addition to 38% of their federal tax. It's not very difficult to pay 50% of your.
Rob Carson
You want to talk about affordability, Think about how affordable things would be if you could keep the 50% of your income that you give to the stinking government. Can you imagine, you probably could have retired by now, depending on your age, if you didn't have to pay 50% of your income to local, state and
Victor Davis Hanson
federal government income or more for the taxpayer who's salaried without much write offs. They don't have confidence that you the people will buy into the progressive project. And so they want to import a demographic that is poor and needy on the idea that that's what they did
Rob Carson
with Joe Biden's presidency. Twenty million of them, open southern border. That's why they want get rid of the border.
Victor Davis Hanson
They will be constituents that will trade their votes for subsidies. And we saw that with the Somali community in Minnesota and we've seen it with other communities here in California.
Rob Carson
This is why they load them up, man. You come from the meth lab trailer park of the world, which is Somalia. You come here and get a free government housing and you know, a monthly debit card and free daycare and free whatever care. Hell yeah. I mean this is living large, man. Thank you, Democrat Party. I'm going to vote for you forever. Forever. That's what it's all about. Here's Donald, or here is VDH explaining the madness of the Democrat Socialists.
Victor Davis Hanson
We never imagined that there were going to be more than two genders or sexes. We never imagined that they would try to normalize biological men taking over women's sports.
Rob Carson
This is all about upsetting civilized society, distracting us, confounding us, angering us, getting us off balance. That's what all of this nonsense has been around. That's what I've called it, nonsense. And of course they censored us so we couldn't oppose any of it for a number of years.
Victor Davis Hanson
But those days are over dressing among young teenage girls. We never imagined that. We never imagined that prosecutors would let out career felons who had committed violent acts the same day they were arrested. We didn't know we were going to empty the prisons because we felt that punishment, penal punishment, was too mean. We never really felt that. Our only real democratic country and an ally in the Middle East, Israel, we would try to disassociate ourselves and we would try to romanticize terrorists like Hamas. What I'm getting at, this was the Progressive Project. Yes, it was anti American, it was anti Western and it glorified other modes of civilization, so to speak, socialism, communism, anarchism. And it was very critical of the very society who had enriched most Americans.
Rob Carson
Yeah. And it's going to fail. It's going to fail. There's a reason why Donald Trump is the President of the United states. In the 250th anniversary of our birth, there's a reason why the Democrat Social of America have picked this year to make their move and they're going to fail. They're going to fail colossally because we're not going to live in their darkness. It's not going to happen. And here is Victor Davis Hanson talking about why Donald Trump is the deliverer from this Marxist communist revolution.
Victor Davis Hanson
And then came Donald Trump and he was not, he's surely not a revolutionary. We were in the middle of a revolutionary, but he was not a trimmer either. He was a true counter revolutionary. Yes, the first term he was not familiar with Washington. He made appointments with people who did not agree with him. Not just they did not agree with his methodology, but they didn't agree with his counter revolutionary agenda. But it was still in places working. And what was the result? The result was Covid and the COVID lockdown and it was aborted the second time he came around.
Rob Carson
Yeah, that's what they did. That's what they did when he was the, the first, the first term. Remember summer 2020. What happened? Covid release shutdown of the economy to kill Trump's economy. Summer of 2020, all of PSYOP. They just needed someone to start it with. And George Floyd was that Jussie Smollett was not, you know, Mike Brown was not. George Floyd came along, Democrats let the country burn. Didn't say a thing about it. Said it was mostly peaceful, all by design, but guess what? It's coming back and biting them right square in the butt.
Victor Davis Hanson
He tried to finish the counter revolution. So he pretty much demolished the subsidies for green energy and re emphasized oil and gas production and we became the greatest producer of oil and gas in the history of civilization.
Rob Carson
This is why the Deep State and Democrat party are dying like movie vampires, screeching and clawing and doing all sorts of crazy stupid crap like doing no Kings protests and you know, calling Elon Musk a Nazi for about a month there and all that. That's, that's the reason he sort of
Victor Davis Hanson
said we're not going to regulate AI and robotics, cryptocurrency, genetic engineering, drone. We're not going to legislate them out of business. We're not going to antitrust and complete investigations of all these people. We're going to promote it. We're going to promote these new innovations and new technologies. And lo and behold, we're ahead of the Chinese and almost all of them now.
Rob Carson
Yeah, and almost $20 trillion of investment coming into our country. The factories are being built and manufacturing is coming back and The Democrat Party said it would never happen, and it is, and we're roaring back better than we could have ever imagined. All of the academics who spent so much money on their worthless degrees and people who build stuff are making a comeback. People who work hard, people who have calluses on their hands. They are going to be the winners because of this, and America is going to be great again. All right, let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson show. Hey, guys, it's Carson for Relief factor. When it comes to supplements, two things matter. That it works and that you can trust it. I trust Relief Factor. Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Relentlessly slowing the bread of the stupid every day. It's the ROB Carson show.
Rob Carson
It is. Oh, I can't wait for this. Must see TV next week. Anthony Fauci, Senate grilling next week. Oh, my goodness, I cannot wait, wait to see Anthony Fauci grilled and served up slated at the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental affairs committee on Wednesday, July 29. Republican lawmakers have sought to question him, the man who bought and paid for Covid. So if you have a relative who died of COVID he's to blame. If you have someone in your life who died of COVID Anthony Fauci is to blame for it. He his agency paid for Covid to be created in a lab in China. There's no doubt about it. If you if your business was ruined, if your children's education was ruined to some degree, like my kids, Anthony Fauci is responsible for it. He is. So I can't wait to watch the he is. He is the. He is the. He's a monster. And yes, I know the paper was upside down. Pat Carr on Rumble all right, let's talk about Elon Musk was doing a. An interview with the Economist and Economist Editor in Chief Zanny Minton Beddoes. Her name is Zanny Minton Beddoes. Okay, sure. So she's ZMB. Zumba. Zumba. Fire exchange. Fire exchange occurred during a 90 minute interview recorded in a Tesla factory in Texas. And she accused Musk of supporting far right ideas. And the thing is, anything really normal in the last 10 years has become far right. And he was not going to have anything, any of this nonsense.
Zanny Minton Beddoes
You support not just the populist right, but the far right, in fact, very fringe parties in some countries.
Elon Musk
No, I support the normal people.
Zanny Minton Beddoes
Okay.
Elon Musk
What you call the far right falsely,
Zanny Minton Beddoes
you think is the normal person. Okay, yes.
Elon Musk
Literally, you could go back 10 or 15 years.
Rob Carson
What's far left? Far left wants to get rid of the Senate. Far left wants open borders. Far left wants to get rid of the police. Far left wants to get rid of prisons. Far left wants children to go through transgender surgery.
Elon Musk
And these, these, these policies were completely normal. In fact, you, you. One of the, one of the tricks I think is funny, I think that was quite funny, is to like, take a speech from Obama and Hillary and then go to someone and say, who's sort of, you know, on the. Sort of, what I call the lunatic left, and say, what do you think of the speech by Trump? Like, oh, wow, he's the worst person ever. Actually, that was a speech by Obama. Or actually, that was a speech by Hillary.
Rob Carson
Yeah, she's at a loss for words.
Zanny Minton Beddoes
No, I agree that the center of gravity in this country has shifted. Certainly the Democratic Party shifted to the left, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people like Rupert Lowe.
Rob Carson
Fringe.
Elon Musk
Right, Please. It's actually just normal people. It's just normal people. It's just normal people.
Rob Carson
And yeah, people want Voter IV.
Elon Musk
The. And. And here are the principles.
Rob Carson
People want less regulation. People who are happy that crime is down.
Elon Musk
And tell me which of these sound terrible, that we should have secure borders, that we should have safe cities, that we should have sensible spending. Which of those three are far right fringe? And I would like to just admonish you and the media for the absurd characterization of the far right. It is false and misleading nonsense. Yes, please keep this part in.
Zanny Minton Beddoes
We'll keep all of this in.
Rob Carson
Yes, I'm kind of sick and damn tired of it. Kind of sick of being tired of it. Plumbing subcont contractor forced to shut down and lay off 25 union workers after being owed $4 million by Barack Obama for his library. Chicago plumbing contract report years of work in the President Barack Obama library has suspended operations laid off 25 union workers after being left with nearly $4 million in the hole just weeks after the star studded grand opening of the Barack Obama monument to himself. And this is the interesting thing about it. This thing was way, way, way over budget. 400 they were promised a $470 million taxpayer safety net. The endowment has $1 million in it. Costs on the project balloon from original estimate of 350 million to $850 million. And they're stiffing the contractors. Absolutely stiffen the contractors. President Obama, he's building his library in Chicago. It's a disaster.
Jim Gossett
Donald says it's a major eyesore.
Rob Carson
Jim Gossett as Obama but you can
Jim Gossett
bet I won't forget who my library's for. It's all about me it's all about me My massive ego makes me hum
Rob Carson
I am not as beautiful Folks are
Jim Gossett
afraid that they'll be displaced.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Oh my God.
Jim Gossett
Afraid the places they live will soon
Rob Carson

Jim Gossett
It's all about me it's all about me A self absorbed man I'm my own biggest fan. It's all about me it's all about me.
Rob Carson
Another timeless classic from the great Jim Gossett as Obama on the Rob Carson Show. Coming up on the other side of the break, we got, we got Christian, Toto, Hollywood and toto, you know, because conservatives watch movies and stream TV and stuff. Rob Carson
A little Rob Zombie for you. It's Friday. One of our unusual suspects, a man I've known for a good number of years, Christian Toto, Hollywood. Ian Toto joins us on the Newsmax hotline. How you doing today, sir?
Christian Toto
I'm great. Great.
Rob Carson
So my daughter, you ever, you ever see that, you heard that analogy about when a cat owner, the, the cat brings a dead bird in and lays it at your feet and, and you're, you know, you, you realize it was, it was, it was meant to impress you. And, and you know, all of that and, and you kind of go, okay, that's neat. My, my daughter kind of did that. She said, I couldn't get tickets to the Odyssey this week, so next Friday we're going at 7 o'. Clock. And I'm like, oh, that's neat. You know, when my kids were little, I had a scale of movies that I'd have to go see. There were, there were the movies that were good, like the Toy Story movies. There were the movies that you prayed for sleep. Okay, right in the middle. And then there were the ones that you prayed for death. And I, and there were some movies that I prayed for death. I'm hoping that the Odyssey is not going to be one of those.
Christian Toto
I don't think so.
Rob Carson
Okay, good.
Christian Toto
People have a wide variety of opinions on this movie.
Rob Carson
I know, I know.
Christian Toto
Sure. Not going to deny that. But even though I had some pretty big qualms about it, little casting here, a little pacing there. Yeah, it's a real presentation. I mean, it's larger than life. You know, director Christopher Nolan is working on a level that very few directors can work on. Visually, it's impressive. The acting is mostly very solid. There are some action sequences that'll take your breath away. And so, yeah, it's flawed and there are issues. And we can, you know, argue about its fidelity to the source material and about the casting decisions. Absolutely. But, you know, the fact that we're talking about movies again, the fact that we're Debating this. I really like that, you know, that's important.
Rob Carson
Yes. Well, you know, I mean, a lot of the times conservatives, we. There's a narrative about, you know, Elliot, what's her name? The dude who. Girl used to be a dude who used to be a girl, whatever, you know, and all of that. And, and I, and I understand that. And, and you know, I, I understand it. It's a choice they made. Whatever. Doesn't mean that the movie might not be entertaining or worth seeing. I know. I'm, I'm, I'm a zealot, for God's sake, for saying that. I'm gonna give it a shot. We will see what happens. We will see if it's a good or bad. My son is a giant movie aficionado. I wanted him to go to film school, but his mom wanted to go to accounting school anyway, so. So he's always talk and I always like to give him a little bit of crap. So he's telling, oh, dad, this, this is the Odyssey is so good. And I said, will my son. I said, where does Homer Simpson make his appearance? And it's like, do, do.
Christian Toto
Well, I was going to give. You should have had a spoiler alert with that one because, you know, now people are expecting it.
Rob Carson
Yes, exactly. So. So Elon Musk is offering to fund a $100 million Mel Gibson version of the Odyssey to defy Christopher Nolan's Woke adaptation. You know, if somebody was gonna make a movie that was true to the storyline, I'm thinking Gibson would be number one on the list.
Christian Toto
I, you know, I agree on paper. It's an interesting premise for sure. And Gibson's super talented. At the same time, you know, Mel Gibson's an artist and maybe this story doesn't speak to him. He's got bigger.
Rob Carson
Exactly.
Christian Toto
You know, he's doing the sequels to Passion of Christ. You know, he's very methodical, he's very thoughtful, he's very author driven. And he's not just going to take a big check from someone. They all do that. Listen, I think Elon Musk has his heart in the right place often. I think he's a tactic centric sometimes, but I think he'd be better served if he looked at Hollywood and said, you know, there are some stories that aren't being told. I don't know why, or maybe I do. Maybe I could fund those filmmakers. You know, he could sort of help them. When you've got something that should be out there that should be explored. Maybe a movie about Hunter Biden, maybe A movie about the Biden. You know, whatever happened the last four years when we had a guy who was literally, you know, maybe that's the way he could, you know, spend his money. You know, I don't know if this was a cause and effect, but I believe there was some sort of overlap. But when Elon Musk saw that the Babylon Bee was banned from Twitter for having an opinion on certain problematic issues, I think that lit a fuse in him. And he said, you know, I'm going to buy that platform and give it back to the free speech crowd.
Rob Carson
Yeah.
Christian Toto
And he did.
Rob Carson
I'm going to tell you, not perfect, But Elon Musk. Elon Musk saved free speech. He did, bro. I mean, there was nothing more frustrating to me. And it was. It was. It was such a tragic moment in our history that the media became incurious and didn't care that half of the country was censored on everything. Couldn't say anything about the 2020 election. Covid couldn't say anything about DEI. Couldn't say anything about Black Lives Matter. Couldn't say anything about it. It was dripp.
Relief Factor Advertiser
Dreadful.
Rob Carson
It was. It was. I gotta tell you, I will never forget it. How about a movie on that? How about a movie on what they did to us during that dark, dark time in our history? I would love to see that.
Christian Toto
I'd see it, too. It might be a big hit. It wouldn't. It wouldn't get any good reviews. It wouldn't get any Oscar nominations, that's for sure. No matter how good it might be. But, yeah, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about. So if this sparks that kind of a situation. Listen, I don't think he's going to make an AI version of the Odyssey. And if he does, it's going to look much, much, much worse than Nolan's version, because no one is a human, a very talented guy and an artistic genius, and AI just is not going to level up to that. And I think it'd be silly, but I think. I think he's hinting at something sort of a, hey, we need competition. We need other ideas in the marketplace. And that's. I think that's a healthier impulse.
Rob Carson
I am looking forward to the sequel to the Passion of the Christ. I can't wait for the trailer. Jesus is back and he's ticked off.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah.
Rob Carson
Can you imagine Jesus, the Passion of the Christ? He's like, hold on a second. Hold on. Since I left 2,000 years ago, they're transgenderizing children.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Oh, My.
Rob Carson
Oh, my father.
Christian Toto
I would line up for that movie.
Rob Carson
Oh, my God. Yeah, that'll be, that'll be. I want to get one of those. I'm gonna get one of those Elon Musk robots eventually, though. No, seriously, you know this as well as I do because we're Gen Xers in our old age. That's what. That's. Who's going to be taking care of us. We're going to have robots. We're going to have robots taking care of us. We are. It's just going to happen. Mine's going to be hot and it's going to be French made outfit for sure.
Christian Toto
I want one now.
Rob Carson
I want one just like. What was that movie? The. The Machina, what was it? Ex Machina. I want a hot robot. Like, I want a hot robot like that.
Christian Toto
They might be on backorder. They might be in demand.
Rob Carson
I think you're probably right. Pixar lays off over 100 Bay Area workers using Mrs. Incredible letterhead. Listen to how awful this is. 108 people laid off at Pixar and they decide to use a document that included an image of Mrs. Incredible Elastigirl from the Pixar movie the Incredibles at the top of the heading. Congratulations, you're fired with Elastigirl. What the hell are they thinking?
Christian Toto
Would you like some salt with your wound?
Rob Carson
I swear to God, this is so funny.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Now. This is.
Rob Carson
In spite of the fact that Toy Story 5 made a billion dollars, sources say the wrap cuts may be related to the underperformance of Hoppers, which I didn't even know, I didn't even know existed. What's Hoppers?
Christian Toto
Well, that. That's part of the problem. It's an animated film. But also, look at Moana is seriously under. Oh, that one's gonna lose bucket loads of money. And other films in recent years have lost Disney a bunch of money. So for Every Toy Story 5, which is, you know, making big, big box good for them, it's like, it's a solid movie. I had no problem with that. They take a lot of hits. And also I almost think that they're kind of paving the way for the AI future where a lot of the animation work. And I hate to say this, I know, and people are going to lose their jobs, but I certainly see that they say, well, we can do that with that, with AI and we don't need all this overhead. It's the times that I feel so.
Rob Carson
It's ridiculous.
Jim Gossett
Yeah.
Rob Carson
And I think the follow up to Moana for Gen Z should see marijuana and they could do the live action of that one. It would get. It would be huge. It would be huge. And by the way, the concessions would go through the ceiling. I mean you'd sell so much popcorn. We got some more to cover with Christian Toto hollywoodand dodo.com. let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson Show.
Christian Toto
You'll be an all star yet. Just remember the five Ds of dodgeball. Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.
Rob Carson
That is from Dodgeball, an underdog story. One of the the greatest sports movies of all time. A Gen X sports movie. I'll just say that. And the reason why I bring that up is because there is, there's a movie out called the Dink. Pickleball finally gets its own sports comedy to talk about. That is Christian Toto. I wonder if this is good because it sounds kind of fun.
Christian Toto
It is fun. And you know, listen, I don't think it's going to be replacing Dodgeball or any of those great classic sports comedies anytime soon. But you know, as a streaming original, it's on Apple TV this weekend. It ain't bad. Jake Johnson is star. Mary Steenbergen's a co star. Oh, she's ageless. I love her. She's a great personality. I just like.
Rob Carson
Oh, I know, I know.
Christian Toto
It's the kind of movie, we can tell it wants to go super wacky but its heart isn't quite in it. So it's got some of that and then it's got a bit of a tender side that the two main characters are. They've got a bit of an age gap between them, but there's a little bit of flirtation there which I thought was actually really well handled. So listen, I've been started playing pickleball recently. I'm of a certain age. It's fun and it's social and it's kind of goofy and you don't exactly feel like an athlete when you're playing it, which is one of the things that this movie leans into. But I think the most fun is that you've got Andy Roddick here playing a quasi villain and John McEnroe shows up late and he is very funny.
Rob Carson
Really?
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Yeah.
Rob Carson
Well, there's a. In the, above the parking garage, the apartment complex that I, that I live at, they have a pickleball court. And I don't know, dude, I, I don't know. I, you know, because listen, dude, I, I've had to, I've had to buy into these things. Like, I, I, I, I hate to admit it. I had a minivan for a while, okay? You know, so, you know, I went through that. I went through having a minivan. I had two minivans, for God's sake. And, and now I'm gonna buy into playing pickleball. I just, I don't know if I'm ready for that.
Co-host/Guest
I don't know.
Christian Toto
You know, I think you're man enough to play pickleball. That's the sign of true masculinity in 2026, if you can play pickleball. Listen, I played recently. I showed up, one of my fellow pickleball players hurt his calf within eight seconds, and two other people said, yeah, I've got a bum shoulder. I can't play. So it isn't for the faint of heart, I tell you.
Rob Carson
Oh, yeah, certainly. I'm sure there are a lot of torn ACLs out there on the pickleball court. Dear God, I lost my uncle. Yeah, I tripped over my beer. You have another, another story on hollywoodandtoto.com Hollywood and notocon. Yet another huge sign that Woke is on the run. I love this. And by the way, you know, it's called the Dink. Pickleball finally gets its own sports comedy. Is that in reference to the nationality of the star of the movie? Because it sounds politically incorrect.
Christian Toto
It's, I think it's a kind of shot in the game of pickleball. It's not exactly a smash. It's not exactly.
Rob Carson
I didn't know it was like a word because I've heard the. That's, that's one of those words your dad used, you know, pollocks and dinks. You know, I don't even know what a dink is. I don't even want to think is. I always thought a dink was what your doctor wanted to see when you go in for that annual visit. Let's. This is really descending. All right. Yet another woke is on the run. Tell me about the woke on the run thing.
Christian Toto
Yeah. So the Venice Film Festival is about to kick off, and they determined as it, I think about 20 or so films that made the final cut to the competition, and only one was directed by a woman. Now, in the past, that would be a big problem, you know, film festival, so male, all these things. And listen, I don't dislike female directors. I wish everyone has the chance to kind of make their movies. But the guy who's curating the festival said, listen, that was the only one we saw that happened to be A female director that was meeting the criteria of quality that we want in this festival. So he didn't bow down. He said, you know, and if we included more female directors, it'd be humiliating for them. They wouldn't feel like they deserved it. They didn't. You didn't, they didn't make the cut. They kind of got on like, you know, it's like one of those participation trophy things that were really politically incorrect. Basically. There weren't enough good films from women directors and that can happen. And also the fact that it'd be, you'd be, you know, kind of talking down to them. They deserve better. They deserve to know if they made a great movie. And that's perfectly fine.
Rob Carson
I, I do believe that this, this woke experiment is dying. I was actually kind of surprised that it has made such a, I won't say it's a comeback. I think it said it's dying throws, but it's going violently with the Democrat socialists of America, you know, and so I thought it was. People were just laughing out loud about it. But there's still a lot of people who are still down with it and eventually it's going to die a slow death. So I'm glad to see that. I did see this though. Barry Worst on your, on your Hollywood and Toto site, the Nolan masterpiece that deserves more. Love the Prestige with Hugh Jackman. I've seen that movie Atlanta least a dozen times. It's a fantastic movie and it gets so bizarre and I mean, and the ending is like, it just leaves you slack jawed. It's a brilliant movie.
Ryan Reynolds
It is.
Christian Toto
And when people talk about Nolan's stuff, they mentioned the Batman film, Oppenheimer, let's not sleep on that one. And it's, listen, he's still a relatively young guy. He's not 80 or 70, but he's still making movies that are consequential. But that was 20 years ago and he was, you know, bringing it back then. So yeah, if you haven't seen the Prestige, oh my gosh, check it out now it is.
Rob Carson
And it came out. There was another movie with Ed Norton that came out that involved kind of a similar theme of a musician, a magician on stage. They came out at the same time. They were both marvelous movies, by the way. Both marvelous movies. But the Prestige is just fantastic. Christian Toto, always great to have you on. Tell everybody where you can listen to your podcast.
Christian Toto
Oh, see you just go to Spotify itunes, wherever you want to find your best shows. It is the Hollywood in Toto podcast.

Thanks, my friend. I appreciate you. Have a great weekend. Okay. All right, let's take it. Let's take a break and call. Let's take a break and come back. This is the Rob Carson show. So I was watching Mary Walters timeline on social media.
Ryan Reynolds
And.
Rob Carson
And she. Hold on. I gotta figure out what's going on here. Got something playing in the background. I want something playing in the background. I wanted you to hear something very, very cool by a young comedian. Let's see if I can do this real quick. I apologize again. I run my own, my own audio. A guy, his name is Josh Johnson. Let me double check and make sure we've got things work. Yeah, Josh Johnson. And he was talking about, you know, I don't know if you know this, there's this cyclospore or whatever the hell is Taco Bell lettuce that makes you have explosive diarrhea. And this is just brilliant stuff from this young comedian.

The produce is gonna kill us.
Rob Carson
This is great.
Co-host/Guest
It's never a recall on the candy. The candy.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
No,
Co-host/Guest
There's never a recall on like the double blasted Gushers. Never.
Rob Carson
It's fine.
Co-host/Guest
A recall. The ultimate Choco Tacos, like. Oh, yeah, no, no. This is the produce right now that is tearing us up.
Rob Carson
That's why you need to stay away from vegetables. This bad is so bad that the

news, the nose, you know the news where you get your news. The news came out, said, hey, everybody over here eating well. Everybody here eating right. Eating your fruits and vegetables, watch out, because there's a parasite and it gives you, and I quote, explosive diarrhea.
Rob Carson (Show Announcer)
Yeah.
Co-host/Guest
They didn't say upset stomach. They didn't say bowel issues.
Rob Carson
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Co-host/Guest
Went straight to top of the list. Top. Number one.
Rob Carson
Number one.
Co-host/Guest
They didn't even do the thing that our drug commercials do at the end where they're like, they said. Loud and proud. Explosive diarrhea.
Rob Carson
Yeah, I never had that. But I'll tell you what, been pretty close. I'll tell you that. Do you ever notice that the more you, the closer you get to your destination of a bathroom, the more you got to go. There's somehow a direct line between your head and your, your rear end. I think that's what happens with Democrats. I do. There's a direct line between the two and I think it's because the Democrats heads are there. Anyway, that's gonna do it for the show this week. Thank you for joining me. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. This has been an ordeal. But I am in the Newsmax building and in the heart of Washington, D.C. with you. Please watch my TV show this weekend, Rob Carson's what in the World on Newsmax, if you would, three o' clock in the afternoon on Saturday. I'm jockeying for a late night show on Saturday night. I'm hoping that'll happen eventually. We'll see. We'll see what the powers that be had to say. And then of course, Sunday night at 8:30 following Dr. Michael Savage. Donald Trump says that show makes me the funniest man on television. It does really have a glorious weekend. God bless you. America has found it. Our president who's doing a great job, our military that's kicking butt, our first responders. And until Monday, which just happens to be, you know, fortunately two days off away me do not catch this stupid. I'll see you then. I love you guys.
