All right, I brought us some fun facts for you guys to, you know, kick around a little bit. You know, Hal likes to take these into the office and I imagine you like in your little kitchenette area there when you're pouring your coffee. You know, Hal look over at his co worker and say, hey, have you ever heard of the four second rule? And then your, your coworker would lean in and go, hm, wow. What is the four second rule? What is it, Rod? It's a, it's an Internet term. It's the amount of time that the average Internet user will wait for a page to load before leaving and going on to another site. Not to be confused with the five second rule. And I'm just telling you right now, if you've ever worked in a restaurant, you have served food that has Been on the floor. You have served food. No, I mean, I had a whole hunk of ham just right there.
Fun Fact Narrator
Like.
Host

Grainger Announcer
No, he sewed the flag.
Host
The salsa guy. That's a call back to the Paul Newman, Ronald Reagan. He was an actor and as a matter of fact, when he was an actor, he was married to an actress named Jane WYMAN. In like 1940. Ronald Reagan was the first U.S. president who had ever had a divorce.
Fun Fact Narrator
That is funny.
Host
So they got, they were married about eight years and then he went on to marry Nancy Reagan.
Fun Fact Narrator
Right.
Host
President Trump is only the second president to ever be in office that is, that has had a divorce.
Grainger Announcer
It's very interesting to me.
Host

The tallest cliff on earth is a. Who's breathing super heavy. Oh, now they're not breathing. Okay, now someone looking at me. Oh, it's the guy without the headphones. I'm like, somebody is breathing. I didn't hear it.
Fun Fact Narrator
You didn't hear it.
Host
See, that's how I know my hearing's still good. All right, where was I? The tallest cliff on Earth is a 4,100 foot drop off of Mount Fish 4 in Northern Canada. If you, if you were to drop a bowling ball off the top, it would take just about 20 seconds for that bowling ball to hit the ground. At that point, the ball would be humming along at about 150 miles an hour. That's neat. Mount four.

This episode of "The Rod Ryan Show" centers around the ever-popular "Fun Facts of The Day" segment, featuring Rod and the crew as they share quirky, sometimes wild pieces of trivia meant to entertain and provoke a few laughs. With their trademark blend of sarcastic banter and genuine amusement, the hosts serve up interesting tidbits designed to boost your random knowledge—and maybe make you look a little smarter in front of your friends.
"It's an Internet term. It's the amount of time that the average Internet user will wait for a page to load before leaving and going on to another site. Not to be confused with the five second rule."
[01:58] In a hilarious aside, Rod claims that if you've ever eaten in a restaurant, you've almost definitely eaten food that's been on the floor.
He recounts his own service industry experience: "I had a whole hunk of ham just right there."
This launches a brief round-table confession and mutual mock disgust, highlighting the realities of restaurant kitchens.
Quote (Rod, 02:35):
"Just brush it off a second… You're good."
Quote (Lady Luck, Grainger Announcer, 02:37):
"Good lord."
"That's gross."
"Ronald Reagan was the first U.S. president who had ever had a divorce."
"President Trump is only the second president to ever be in office that is, that has had a divorce."
"Wild, right? You glad you got up early today to join us?"
[04:00] Rod introduces a geography fun fact about the tallest cliff on Earth: Mount Thor (referred to as "Mount Fish 4" on-air, a playful mispronunciation).
Quote (Rod, 04:01):

The delivery is peppered with classic Rod Ryan Show distractions—a brief detour about heavy breathing in the studio (“Who’s breathing super heavy?”)— before wrapping the segment.

In this lively, tongue-in-cheek segment of "The Rod Ryan Show," Rod and crew deliver a stream of bizarre but true tidbits: from the limits of our Internet patience (“four second rule”), to the not-so-sanitary secrets behind restaurant meals, to surprising presidential facts and the record-setting heights of Mount Thor in Canada. The conversation is peppered with signature Rod Ryan humor, casual ribbing among the hosts, and off-mic giggles, offering a dose of oddball knowledge perfect for sharing around the coffee machine—or, as Rod suggests, for impressing your buddies. Whether you’re in it for the trivia or the laughs, this episode’s “Fun Facts of The Day” delivers a dose of quirky enlightenment with plenty of personality.
