How's it going? Good. Yesterday marks the 19th day of the Iran conflict and the world's largest liquefied natural gas terminal. It's in Qatar. It was hit by Iran. Major international energy companies like Exxon, Shell, Total Energies are investors in this facility. And now five western nations, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy and the UK have issued a joint statement calling for immediate de escalation. Obviously, we know that gas prices are skyrocketing. Well, farmers are now speaking out because fertilizer is comes from the Middle east and it is going to just trickle down from there. An organizer for Houston's annual Cesar Chavez march confirms that, yes, this year's event has been canceled. There's a lot of events around the country that have been canceled following a report accusing him of assaulting minors. He is known as one of the most inspirational labor leaders of the 20th century. In Houston, we have a road named after him. Right.

I think my kid gets school off because of him.

We'll see where this goes from here. Viral update. Alex, you're going to love this one. Punch the monkey has a girlfriend. It was just a few weeks ago, the Internet. I did question her intentions. She saw that he learned how to wave the cameras and she's like, wow, he's my man. We fell in love with him at the zoo in Japan. He was bullied, abandoned by his mother. And then he was carrying around that IKEA stuffed monkey and everyone's like, oh, he's so cute.

Well, now Mumu Chan is her name. She also fell in love with him. They've been seen, like, making out at the zoo.

I. I'm gonna have to agree with Alex. I think she's caught up in the fame.

So maybe he keeps the stuffed animal around just in case things don't work out with.

I'll give him your advice. Val Kilmer is gonna be in a new movie. And you're like, wait a minute. He's going to appear in an upcoming movie called as Deep as the Grave. Thanks to the magic of AI. The director says it's what Val wanted. Val's family confirms Val was totally on board with it. This is a year after he passed away. So the director wrote this part specifically for Val. And when they were filming Originally back in 2020, Val was already having a rough time medically, but he wanted to do this movie. His daughter's even speaking out, saying he was always optimistic about using new technology as a tool. And so it's happening now.

What can you do? Who knows? Remember back it was not that long ago when Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails told us they wouldn't be touring anymore on Monday, he chose to clarify.

Exactly what he said. He said his words were misconstructed. He was simply saying they had no future dates booked or planned. The tour was ending, not that the band was done done. Good news for fans, I guess. Those are Houston's headlines.

When does everything get rolling?

Well yeah, in college hoops today. The first round of the tournament starts at 11:15am Some notable games including that 11:15 game. TCU is going to take on Ohio State to start the day off. Then the other big games here are at 6:25. Texas will take on BYU at 6:35. A&M is going to play St. Mary's in at 9:10 to wrap up the evening. It'll be the second seeded U of H Cougars taking on Idaho. You can watch all of the games today and tonight on cbs, tnt, TBS and True tv. Now to some bad basketball. The Rockets continued to suck last night. They lost The Lakers again 124 to 116. They've now lost three of their last four. They're done down at spring training. Astros fell to the Cardinals yesterday four to one. But at least that game doesn't mean anything because it's preseason. They're going to play the Mets tonight in Jupiter, Florida. First pitch is at 505 and we are just a week away from opening day everybody. That is what's going on in sports.

I was. I was representing the Marine Corps. I'm no longer in.

Yeah, I just got back from. From a deployment overseas, and I just wanted to call and let you know that I've been listening for, like, over 20 years. I've listened to you on six different deployments all over the world.

It's just really nice to have y' all when you're away from home, to be able to just listen to. Listen to the radio station and bring you back. You know what I mean?

I can't tell you how happy that makes me. I think everybody. Anybody that knows me, even in the slightest bit, you know that this phone call is making me super, super happy. I've told this story once before. Before the Internet was around. A friend of mine was deployed, and I used to send him CDs of the show. I used to send him CDs of them. I used to burn copies of the show, and we would send him CDs. And then he. You could mail stuff for free over there where wherever he was, I think he was in Iraq. And he would send them to all the people that were from New Orleans so that they could listen to the show before pre Internet, before, the guys were listening because they were a little homesick and things like that. I'm telling you, you. You've made me so happy this morning. Number one, thank you for doing what you did. Thank you for all the years you've been listening, dude. Yesterday marks the 19th day of the Iran conflict and the world's largest liquefied natural gas terminal in Qatar was hit by Iran. All of the energy companies, yeah, ExxonMobil, Shell, they're all investors in that facility. And now five of the big western nations. So Canada, France, Germany, Italy and the UK all issued a statement calling for immediate de escalation. And now, beyond gas prices skyrocketing, farmers are speaking out because apparently the Middle east is the top producer of fertilizer. And with those prices skyrocketing, it's going to trickle down more costs for us. I'm not sure how we've gone this long without talking about hockey this morning because the headline Hockey is returning to Houston is definitely trending across local media.

[Rod Ryan]

Got a lot of emails on this. There's some excited people out there. That's good.

[Mo]

Yeah. The North American Hockey League announced yesterday in a statement that the board of Governors approved the relocation of the North Iowa Bulls to the Houston Metro. This is happening for the 2026, 2027 season.

[Rod Ryan]

That should be an easy transfer too, of the name Houston Bulls.

[Alex]

Yeah.

[Rod Ryan]

Now is this on the level of where the Arrows were?

[Alex]

Not at all, no. It's the nahl and that is for people that didn't make the Canadian Hockey League or the ushl. This is like people that are trying to get other opportunities. I think they have like host families and stuff like that.

So we had that when I lived in Oregon.

Yeah, I don't know what the pay is or anything like that. I did look up like notable people that have played in there. So Connor Hellebuck was the goalie for the gold medal winning US team. He did that briefly. And then Mike Madonna, Brian Rafalski also played in the the hl.

First pitches at 5:05 and we are just a week away from opening day where the Astros will open up at home a against the Angels. And that is what's going on in sports.

Think about, like the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. The whole song tells the story, right? Or Cats in the Cradle. This elderly couple. The singer saw a story about an elderly couple. One had dementia. The other one was coming off a brain surgery. They got in the car and just started driving. They wanted to get somewhere and they never came home.

So it's a sad story. But then it's also like, hey, did they go out doing what they wanted to do? But they just drive wherever they. The rapper had a jury side with him in court yesterday after he was sued by two cops for making a music video using surveillance footage of them searching his home and not finding anything. But they said that him making a music video, making fun of them searching his home and not finding anything, even though they thought they were gonna find something and were not really cool with him the whole time. They were like, it was humiliating. They got definitely defamation of character. It looked bad to us. And the jury's like, no, it's surveillance footage. It's just what happened. This is what. He didn't doctor anything.

His cameras, his home, you know, they're very lo fi. I mean, it's Afro man. It's because I got high guy and he's writing these silly songs about them searching his home.

This is new to me, Alex and I heard this yesterday. The band's name is Return to Dust. And I don't want to tell you what I think it sounds like because I just want you to. I want you to tell me if you like it or not, and then you can tell me who you think it sounds like or anything like that. But they're a new band. They've only been around a couple of years. They put out a demo and then they actually, they. They got a. They got a studio album out now. Now it's called Return to Dust. They've been on tour with seven. Dust liked him enough, and they took them out with them. And as I was just. That's all I know about the band. That's it. They do have an album out. I saw the drummer. I'm looking at the band and I'm like, okay, there's a guitar player. Blah, blah, blah. They seem young just from the picture that I saw. And Then I noticed the name of the drummer and it said London Hut Hudson. And I went, that's interesting. I think I've heard that name before. London Hudson. And I said, I think that that might be Saul Hudson's son. Now I named my daughter London. Not after this, but I had heard the name before. London Hudson. London Hudson. Saul Hudson. Who's Saul Hudson? Slash from Guns N Roses. This is his son on drums. What? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I don't know. I mean I don't think the band is. Is like pushing that. They're not pushing him into the front. They're like, hey, slash his kids in this band.

They want to get out there on their own. Yeah. You know what I mean? They want you got to have a great song. And I think that's what they're looking for here. That's just me doing a little digging. When I heard the harmonies, I was getting just a little bit of Alice in Chains harmony there, and that's. I like the little breakdowns. I like the dynamics of the song. That little bass breakdown in the there. I like the attitude of the sound of the singer. He's singing. They may have been in town too, opening up for Wolfgang Van Halen for Mammoth. So. And then we heard the highly suspect story. So they've been. The kids are putting in the work.

Thank you, Rod. Yesterday marked the 19th day of the Iran conflict and the world's largest liquefied natural gas terminal in Qatar was hit by Iran. Yesterday, major international energy companies, Exxon, Mobile, Shell, they're all investors in this facility that was bombed. And now five western nations, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy and the UK all issuing a joint statement calling for immediate de escalation. Okay, so we know that gas prices are skyrocketing. Farmers are now speaking out, that the Middle east is the top producer of fertilizer. So the prices for that are also skyrocketing and that trickles down to us as well. An organizer for Houston's annual Cesar Chavez march confirms that this year's event has been canceled. In fact, a lot of Chavez related events have been canceled nationwide because there was a report accusing him of assaulting minors. He is said to be one of the most inspirational labor leaders of the 20th century. We have a local road named after him here in the Houston area, don't we?

His daughters come out from Sense saying, dad was into these emerging technologies. He was optimistic about using them as a tool, and now they're going forward with it.

Yesterday marked the 19th day of the Iran conflict. The world's largest liquefied natural gas terminal in Qatar was hit by Iran yesterday. Major energy companies, I'm talking like ExxonMobil, Shell, they're all investors in that facility. And now five Western nations, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and the UK have issued a joint statement calling for immediate de escalation of this whole thing beyond what we know. Gas prices skyrocketing farmers are now speaking out. Apparently the Middle east is a top producer of fertilizer and when fertilizer prices skyrocket, so do things that we eat every day. We kind of touched on hockey a little bit this morning. Hockey is returning to the Houston area. It is definitely headlining because there was announcement by the North American Hockey League yesterday. According to their statement, they announced. Announced the board of governors approved the relocation of the North Iowa Bulls to our Houston metro area for the 2026, 2027 season.

You can watch all of the games on cbs, tnt, TBS and True tv. In the NBA. Rockets continue to be bad. Last night they lost the Lakers again, 124, 116. They have lost three of their last four, and I believe they're now down to the fifth seed in the Western Conference. Down at spring training, the Astros fell to the Cardinals yesterday four to one. They're going to play the Mets tonight. First pitch is at 505. And we're just a week away from opening day. That's going to be pretty awesome. That's what's going on in sports.

How is it different than not boiling them, like eating them raw?

Well, you know what I'm saying? Because they've been cooked.

So they're like, it doesn't mushy crispy.

It doesn't take them back to that freeze dried thing that you buy. They've been cooked and then boom, and they're edible. And then so what I have for you, and I don't post a lot of recipes and I don't know that I would do it. I want someone to do it. Air Fried Pasta salad is on the food blog page today.

He just like loads up. You ever see anybody load up an air fryer, like with just with raw eggs and stuff? It's like, you get me to watch
