Terms apply. Available@pocket hose.com terms all right, Governor Ron DeSantis, I think everyone watching this already knows that I am probably the happiest Florida man and also happiest man to ever flee California. So we don't have to do too much on that. But let's dive into exactly what's going on here. It seems to me this is going to spread throughout the country. I've watched a couple of your speeches so far in the last few days. We are just not going to tolerate this nonsen in Florida. And I'd love to just hear your general philosophy on this and how you work not only with the state government but also the federal government as it pertains to ICE deportations, but also dealing with these riots where they are intentionally going out of their way to use all of our freedoms against us. I know that's a broad one. I'll hand it to you and then we'll go from there.
Ron DeSantis (1:53)
Well, in terms of the unrest, Florida's policy is very simple. You have every right to exercise your First Amendment rights to protest and demonstrate. The minute you cross that line, you are going to be met with serious pushback and you will be held accountable. We do not tolerate rioting. We do not tolerate civil unrest. We do not tolerate looting. We do not tolerate attacks on law enforcement. And so I know they're planning stuff for all over the country. They did. They tried to do a little protest in Florida, and they actually just held signs, which is fine, but that's as far as it goes here. I think the problem in places like California is the authorities at both the local and state level, they're effectively siding with the people that are causing the unrest. And part of it is because California, for example, I mean, it's the Shangri La of sanctuary states. They give you driver's licenses if you're an illegal. You get in state tuition, they pay for your healthcare, they. They will try to stymie ICE and protect you from having immigration laws enforced. And so they've been doing this over a number of years, and I think have developed a sense of entitlement that somehow federal laws don't apply to them because they don't like them. So you've had the mayor, the governor, empower that element, not just now, but for many years. And what President Trump's doing and Tom Homan and folks in the administration, they're just doing what their oath of office requires them to do, but which is to faithfully enforce the law. I mean, we've seen the southern border, the change there. There wasn't any changes in laws that happened between Biden and Trump. 47. It was just simply President Trump took the duty seriously to actually enforce the laws and defend our sovereignty. He's doing that now. And they believe in California, in Southern California and many of these other enclaves in other states, even, they just don't believe that these laws apply to them. They believe they should be able to opt out. And so that's the root of all of this. And obviously, you have the political dynamic where I think the governor there just wants to be contrary to Donald Trump because he thinks that that helps him in the eyes of these Democrat primary voters. And it very well might, because they're not exactly playing with a full deck of cards as we've seen on all these different issues.
