people deserve to live a dignified life. Gremlins. When they threw the gremlin in the pool, they multiplied these people in the pool. They would be clean, which would be nice. What's going on, guys? I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin report. It is July 7, 2026, and we just made a few last second changes. There were some laughs in the studio. I think we got some good things for you. I suspect you know the theme of today's program. The Nazi rapist turned out to be a Nazi rapist. Who knew? Yeah, the dam is breaking on this Graham Platner guy. We're gonna get into it. We're gonna show you plenty of videos of just the ridiculous way the Democrats have been covering for him for weeks. This other massive story broke out. What was that three weeks ago about him in the New York Times. And everyone dismissed it. And they all backed him up because the woman that claimed that she was accosted by him at that time happened to be a Repub. This time it's a Democrat. And now the knives are out for this guy. I would like to set up today's show, though, by making a point that I think is worth making, which is why I'm going to make it, which is why did they stick with this guy at all? What was so great about this guy? Like, if you optically, if you just look at the guy, you know, looks a little messy. I don't know, maybe they're going for, he's an everyman. His buzzer doesn't work properly. Like, was he a great orator? Did he have great. Now, he had standard progressive 101 ideas, right? So he toed the line on every idiotic lefty policy, I'll give him that. But there's a gajillion people you could get that would do that. Had the guy ever built anything, did he have a track record, did he have a good resume or anything else? He had none of those things. So what is going to be interesting about the future for this Graham Platner guy is that it's going to be very similar to Eric Swalwell, right? And Eric Swalwell just a couple months ago, living large, trying to become governor of Cali. And it was just so awesome, obvious that he was a scumbag. One way or another, story breaks, he's gone and he'll never be heard from again in a political sense. Right. Cause he was just nothing. And that's basically what this guy is. He's just nothing. He gave them what they want and then they're just done with him because you're just a replaceable part buddy. So here we go. Let's dive into what has happened as of yesterday afternoon. This from Politico. A woman who dated Maine U.S. senate candidate Graham Platner says he forced her to have sex with him nearly five years ago despite her repeat repeated objections, an allegation Platner denies. The woman, 41 year old Maine resident named Jenny Racakot, detailed the alleged incident to Politico in three interviews over the past two weeks. Politico also spoke with the man Racakot dated and confided in the years after the alleged incident and reviewed documents, including emails between Racakot and her therapist and messages between Racakot and the acquaintance whom she warned against getting involved with Platner years before he ran for office. Rakakot said she had an on and off relationship with Plattner, who is now the Democrat Senate nominee for Maine for more than two years before he entered her rural Maine home uninvited one night in late 21, deeply intoxicated and forced himself on her while she repeatedly told him to stop. She said she cut off contact with him after telling him the encounter was non consensual. Okay, we'll have a bit more from her, some video from her too. But again, it is worth noting that when this story was breaking yesterday, nobody online and I was on my little phone there with the social media and all the buttons, nobody was surprised. Everybody was like, yeah, here we go. It's pretty obvious there have been all of these stories about him. Again, the New York Times did a story 3, 4 weeks ago about him. There's all these things about him being on Kik, which is basically an underage messaging app, if I understand that correctly. There was the Nazi tattoo. Like there was just so much stuff here. So nobody again, they're all the knives are out, the rats are jumping from the ship and all that, but nobody is surprised. Which sort of makes you think why were they sticking with this guy? If he had been some, let's say he looked the part, at least you could say Gavin Newsom, he's such a slime bag and everything, but he looks the part. His suits fit, slicked back hair. You know, I suppose you could argue maybe he's a decent speaker or whatever. Like it's all fake to me. But, like, you get it. There's something roughly there. This guy, it was just nothing. It was as if they pulled him off the street, said, you're going to be senator, and then all went all in on him. So there's something very weird about just that part in and of itself. But now let's get back to the specifics of the story. Here is Jenny Racakat describing how Platner entered her home while drunk and ignored her requests to stop.
B
He sent a message back indicating that he would come over. And I said, no, don't come over. Like, I'm not in the mood. Don't come over. Like, half an hour later, I heard a noise outside my door. And then he. He came in. He just came into my house. It was unlocked. I live in an area where you don't usually have to lock your doors. He had kind of, like, jumped on top of me and indicated that he had intentions that were sexual in nature. And I remember just at first being like, hey, I'm not into this. Like, don't. I'm not in the mood. We looked at him, and I remember this very specific look in his eyes, and I could smell alcohol. And I was like, this is different. He is heavily intoxicated. Like, and that blank stare was kind of like a photographic memory.
A
Okay, so that's her story. And you got it. Door is unlocked. She tells him not to come over. He comes over on top of her, heavily intoxicated, wants to have sex. She's not into it. All right, here's a little bit more. You were still saying, don't do this, or I'm not into this.
B
I remember specifically him, like, grabbing at my chest, and I hit his hand, and I said, don't touch me. And I remember that during the altercation,
A
specifically, he kept going.
B
Yeah. And it was this weird mix of, like, coming in and out of. I don't think consciousness is a word, but, like, coming to and kind of falling back into that drunken I don't know what I'm doing state. And. Yeah, and he just. He would apologize in those moments and then go back to doing what he was doing.
A
So he was aware that he was doing something wrong?
B
Yeah.
A
And saying, sorry.
B
I feel like he was in moments.
A
Is there any way that he thought this was consensual or. No, just because.
B
I don't believe that you can think that that scenario is consensual.
A
Okay, now, I want to make a point here. You might argue. One might argue, well, why didn't she come out with this years ago. Why didn't she go to the police? Why is this like, you can ask all the questions about timing. You might also say, well, that's just her word against his. Now, there are some supporting documents, as I referenced in the political argument texts and emails to the therapist and the former boyfriend, or the boyfriend after this and everything else. But, you know, basically you've got just more what this strikes me as. It's just more. There was a pile of stinky poop, and now more stinky poop has been put on top of it and it finally hit the stink poop limit. And the Democrats are like, we can't take any more of this stinky poop. We love our stinky poop. Everything we do is stinky and poopy. But this is just a bit much. Here's one more. Rape is a real thing. If you're so worried about it to buy Kevlar underwear, you'd think you might not get blacked out up around people
B
you aren't comfortable with. Right.
A
What did you think when you saw that?
B
I thought, here's a man who was drunk and who by dictionary definition raped me and he's blaming drunk women. So I just felt like that was a very odd take to have on that.
A
Okay. Also sort of interesting, blaming women. You know, again, these are all the me too people. The lefties. Even though there's been all this stank around him. The lefties were all the believe all women. The lefties were all the me too. Right. That wasn't us. Right. Like you have to believe some women who are credible and who offer evidence of something. Right. Then you'd believe somebody. But the idea of believe all women is completely nonsensical. The phrase in and of itself should have been dismissed immediately. But that would be like saying believe all men. It's literally meaningless. No, you believe people based on their credibility, based on their evidence, based on their history, et cetera, et cetera. Not just believe somebody because their genitals are a certain way that it's so dim. But it's dim like everything else the left offers up. Anyway, this story finally breaks and then within about two hours, Platner jumped in front of the camera and. Well, he didn't step down, actually, but he did offer this. I wanted to directly address the troubling, serious and false allegations against me. Any accusation of non consensual behavior is categorically false. So regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting, but mindful the political reality it will inflict, we are taking the Time to reflect on the best path forward for the state that I love, the people that I love, the movement I belong to, and the goal of defeating Susan Collins. Okay, now here is where it starts going sideways for me because again, I'll grant his word versus her word. I will go as. Even though I don't really believe that I tend to believe now there's a series of women, right? But let's say give the devil his due. You can do that. Well, then why Graham Platner, after months and months of running, when people have been calling you a Nazi because of your Nazi tattoo and saying all these things about you, why is this suddenly the thing that's making you reflect and think about going forward and having to question the political realities and everything? Unless, you know, they finally got you this time. And by the way, let's not forget that there were a series of interviews, one particular one that he did with that New York Times lady a couple weeks ago where she was like, should your supporters be worried if there's anything else coming? And he's like, no, there's nothing else coming. Like, you're busted, bro. You're busted, bro. And by the way, Donald Trump called it out a couple weeks ago. What this guy really is. I think it's another one if you look, I actually think the one in Maine is worse because he's just an outright pig. He's like a pig. I watched him a couple of times. He's like a pig. That's what he reminds me of. You know, I come up with good names for people. I don't want to stick him with that one. Although I think pigs would be very upset about it. That's true. Yeah, the pigs would be upset. But again, as you watch that video and you see the video of Platner giving that little speech, just on the side of it, it's like, again, there was nothing magical about this guy. That is what to me is so nuts about how they all went in on this. I get it. They want power at any cost. So it doesn't, ah, you raped a couple women. Ah, you had a 20 year Nazi tattoo. You've never really, really accomplished much of anything. Okay, fine, we're doing this cuz we're on the quest for power and we really want to take out Susan Collins and get the Senate back and we want to impeach Trump and we want to flip America into a communist system. And yeah, I get all that. You want to do all that. You're really bent on doing all that stuff. That's just fine. But how is it out of all of the people of Maine, this is the guy you came up with, right? Like there's something so ridiculous. Like, is this because they were just trying to pretend that the Democrats are for the people? We'll find a guy, a man for the people. He doesn't iron his shirt, he's kind of half shaven, his hair is always a mess, confused about his tattoos. Let's run with it. Anyway, the point of all of this is it's all very confusing because you have to be vetted. When you run for anything, you are vetted. And these days especially think about what vetting was like 50 years ago, pre Internet. What was vetting like? You know, they probably had to have a private investigator, ask a few of your ex girlfriends some things. They would maybe talk to your wife, talk to some college roommates. Like that would be the extent of vet. This is before emails and everything else. Then email, social media, pictures, selfie, blah, blah, blah. That all comes out. Think about the level of vetting that has to occur now because of all the apps and all the things that people could be caught doing on the record, right? Nefarious or otherwise. Just things that could be used against you. So this idea somehow that the Democrats didn't vet this properly and they just stepped into this is also kind of nuts. But a lot of Democrats are basically saying he wasn't vetted properly. Here's Scott Jennings on that. The only thing I disagree with is when she said that he hadn't been vetted. No, he had been vetted. All of the things that have been stated, it was all out in the public. And people like Ro Khanna, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Tim Walls, the Bulwark pod, Save America. All these people came together to overlook it all, to explain it all, to rationalize it all. He was vetted. People knew all these things. And a whole bunch of Democrats in Maine showed up and voted for him anyway. And a bunch of donors from around the country sent him money. Anyway, I agree with Alyssa's question. What changed? Why are you bailing on Graham Platner now? You already signed off on Nazi tattoo, a self described communist, somebody who's had rape fantasies, somebody who has been on a social media platform known as a playground for predators. And on and on and on and on and on. And the difference between this accuser and the previous one is simply this. She's a liberal. Yeah. So that's the key. The previous woman that the story in the New York Times was around, as I said, earlier, she was a Republican. She was known in D.C. circles, and she was a Republican. So she was dismissed. She was. You know, they could basically very easily be like, the Dems could be like, you know what? Yeah, it was in the New York Times, but it was a Republican ish woman. So let's just forget it. Now. This woman is not. So it has a little more stickiness to it. But again, what I think is super interesting right now is that they all bailed at once and that these guys are centralized. They're getting their marching orders from somebody. I don't know if it's Bernie. I don't know if it's Hasan Piker. I don't know if it's the devil himself. But they. So the fact that within an hour, everybody who was backing this guy to the tilt when we all knew this was coming, like, are you watching this? Is anyone watching this right now? My God. My God, Dave. I can't believe that the guy with the Nazi tattoo with the history of the alcoholism and the doing the stuff to the women. I can't believe that this guy did this. I just can't imagine that you would be in that. I know you aren't, because you watch this program, and you're bright. We'll have more on their hypocrisy and dumbfoundedness in a moment. But first, Angel Studios. As America celebrates its 250th birthday, angel is offering a great deal right now. You can become a premium Angel Guild member for just $15 a month. All right, so now I want to dive into some of the optics around all of this, because over the last couple weeks, we've played you a bunch of videos of all of these people defending this guy. And again, why? Like, I get it, you want power. But when they started thinking, you would think that somebody a month ago would have been like, this is thing. This thing's starting to stink, man. Can we get anybody? Is there anybody else that lives in Maine that we can get? There's got to be some other people there. Anyway, here is Ro Khanna, a guy who is just shredded every bit of credibility he has. Although his children own. His two children under 10 own three golf courses in Ohio. So he has no credibility. He has a couple golf courses. Here he is just a couple weeks ago saying that he still supports Graham Platner. My view is that even according to the New York Times piece, they said there was no harm, no injury, there was toxicity and there was verbal intimidation, which I condemn. But Graham has made it clear that there was no evidence of violence. That, to me, is a red line.
B
Are you confident all the damaging info is out?
A
That's what he says. My sense is, before the primary, a lot of this has come out. Oh, and suddenly more comes out. But again, Roe, why were you banking on this guy other than you were going, this is our guy and we're going to roll as hard as we can with him. And then, boom, it has blown up. It has blown up. But it's not just that. Here's Roe a couple of weeks ago on Twitter with a picture of. Is that Graham Platner right there? That is Roe speaking at the Graham Platner event. That's not Platner right there. He says, sometimes I think we are broken right now. As a country to heal, we need to find a way to have grace. If Graham Platner and all of you can find a way to build that redemption through his campaign, this transformation, may it maybe it can show a way for this country to redeem himself. They were basically trying to make this guy Jesus. You're not going to find your redemption through politics and Graham Platner in the Democrat Party. Look that way up. You might find some redemption if you're looking for it. And you're going to need some redemption. Because finally, even Roe sold out. Pathetic. Roe has now turned on Graham Platner here on Twitter. I've been very clear that sexual assault or violence against women is a red line. These allegations are very serious and credible. Graham Platner should drop out of the race. I am withdrawing my endorsement now. Again, extraordinary, considering there were credible allegations in the New York Times weeks ago. Of course, weeks ago. This is what Elizabeth Warren was saying about Graham.
B
I am here because Washington needs fighters, and Graham Platner is the fighter we need. You bet.
A
I said to myself, that's my kind of man. Oh, he's the fire we need. That's my kind of man. Again, has he ever done anything? No, he's just one of us. One of us. He also, let's not forget, it came out a few weeks ago that had Someone broke into his house, he would rape them. Remember this line? He said this a lot. If anybody ever broke into here, I would rape them, said 40 year old Lindsey Fifeld, who dated the main candidate from 2013 to 2015. He was like, I would rape them to show them that I'm dominant. She told the New York Times. So that's very interesting. If a man broke into his house, he would gay rape them to show them who's boss. And that's Elizabeth Warren's kind of man. Do we have a video that surmised all of that?
B
Hey, stop that.
A
Get lost. Show it again.
B
Hey, stop that.
A
Get lost. So that was, you know, AI, it takes time to make these things happen. That was Graham Platner raping a man who had broke into his house to show dominance and then I guess, punching Elizabeth Warren. That was what we had asked for because she's his kind of man. And, you know, he likes to show women who. One more time. Show me that one more time. That's good. That's good stuff.
B
Hey, stop that.
A
Get lost. Send me that one for the personal file, would you? Okay, here's John Fetterman, one of the few sane Democrats, explaining that everyone involved in this ridiculously obvious mess should apologize. But honestly, I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing this kind of predator more than anyone, he helped him elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman that she claimed that he raped her. So I don't know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people. So regardless, now, when the entire Democratic Democratic Party in Maine has called him to leave, and now also, as far as I know, whether it's Schumer, Gillibrand and other leadership in the DS and other people have all called them, had to go. He's a dead man walking. I don't know why he's trying to pretend that he's not done to even those Pod Save America people that pushed that dirt bag, you know, and they dismissed those things in the New York Times article. Maybe they ought to apologize to the women that clearly they didn't believe or they dismissed that. Isn't that the point? Right? Like, I expect Bernie to be terrible. Bernie, it's just like, oh, you're for the rebel. I can't do the thing because of my shoulder. I'll try it. I'll try it. Oh, you're for the revolution. Come join me. Oh, that's tough. Okay. But that Bernie, in some sense, it's like, yeah, he's trying to burn down the party. He wants to turn America into a socialist communist state. He's just doing 101. And you're going to take a bunch of awful, evil people along the ride with you. So you're gonna take platinum, you're gonna take Hasan Piker, you're gonna take all of these terrible people. So Bernie's not gonna apologize to anybody about this. But his broader point, let's say it doesn't matter. These Pod Save America douchebags, these are the guys that have some podcasts that they were all Barack Obama speechwriters and they're just lefty ding dongs. It's not about them specifically as much as all of you guys. All of you guys who told us to believe all women and then for months have been running cover for this guy, and then suddenly all, all at once, you decided to bail on him. Here is Jon Favreau, one of the Pod Save America hosts. And apparently I went to the same high school as this guy. I'm a few years older than him. He wrote Graham Platter. This is a couple weeks ago. Graham Platter isn't just our best and only chance to beat Susan Collins. He's a good, decent man who's struggled and grown and is always trying to do better. I hope everyone with reservations takes a little time to get to know the real life version of him, not what the algorithm throws in our faces. Clearly that's what so many people in Maine have done from all different walks of life and from political persuasions. Flash forward to yesterday and Mr. Favreau has had a change of heart. Platner needs to drop out asap. These are awful credible allegations set on the pod after the also credible June New York Times story that his biggest problem going forward would be credibility. It's now abundantly clear that he hasn't just been honest about his past and can't be trusted at as a candidate for office. Saving grace is that the party can find a replacement by the 27th, as long as he drops out by the 13th, which I very much assume he will. Now, we're getting to the inner part of the onion here. So platner has till July 13. What is that, six days from now to drop out? And if he drops out, then they can replace him. If he does not drop out by then, they cannot replace him. So what I really think is going on here is they've been looking at some internal numbers and the numbers have not been looking good for this guy. Right. Collins actually was starting to rise a bit. You damn well know if the numbers were going Great. If this guy was winning right now, 55, 45, there is no way in high health, all they care about is power. There is no way they would all be throwing him under the bus. But it is very clear somehow this allegation, all the other allegations, well, you know, we just love him and forgiveness is important and find your redemption in him. And he's wondering, and I love him and you know, believe all women except those women. And da da da da du. Now they have realized that this guy was going to lose. So now Platner, ironically has a huge amount of. Think of the power that this guy has right now, right? He could just say, you know what, you guys all threw me under the bus here. Screw you, I'm staying in. Let's see what happens. And I'll burn the thing down. That would actually be a fun version of all of this. Or he, I don't know what, you know, politics is about cutting deals. It's about closed doors. What do you get? So he may be sitting with people right now. He may be pulling Schumer and the rest of these AOC and the whole wackadoodle convention of clown car lunatics. He may be pulling all of them aside and going, all right, well, looks this thing pretty much stinks, but you guys can't force me out, so what am I going to get if I leave? And I suspect that's what's happening here. And I don't know what that means. I don't know if that means cash. I don't know if that means. I have no idea what that means. But there is no doubt that is what's happening. That's what politics is. But now I want to show you one other thing because I saw this this morning and the original woman who was in the New York Times article when they built that entire article, her name was Lindsay Fifeld. I referenced her earlier and she put this up on Twitter. And I think this gives also a little context to why this did not break further until just now. She wrote. I actually understand why Democrat leaders didn't take our stories seriously when the Times reported them in June, but are taking them seriously now. It was by design. The line most shared from the piece was the claim that the Times could not corroborate my story despite talking to two of my friends. I gave them the contact information for five friends they called the two who I clarified would not know about the abuse, but would be able to affirm our relationship. Timeline, timeline, events, etc. They simply did not call the other three I also gave them the names of all of my former roommates who remembered him stalking our row house, which was about five houses down from his, and waiting for me to return. I gave them screenshots of messages between these roommates and I discussing it. I gave them the names of the other men I dated who might have remembered him following us around the hill and showing up on my stoop after we walked home from daytime to confront us. I gave them emails to my landlord urgently ending my lease and moving to an apartment across town, and diary entries talking about it all time marked. I told them that during the premarital counseling I had spoken to my ex fiance about the abuse because I had to explain to him why I reacted with such terror anytime he lost his temper. They said, oh no, we don't need to bother him or my priest. Besides, I had written about it in my diary in detail. They reassured. As the weeks dragged on, I stopped trying to give them evidence because the amount I had already given them seemed to overwhelm them and I thought it meant they clearly had more than enough to verify my every claim. My friends might not have known the details of the abuse, but they affirmed that yes, I had told them that he was being abusive long before he ran for Senate. Besides, they assured my part in their reporting would be small. I thought my details would only serve to affirm Jenny and the other anonymous woman. Jenny and I, having never met or spoke or spoken, both shared these reporters terrifyingly similar details of intimate partner violence, coercive control and cycles of abuse. Love bombing. The third unnamed woman in the story did as well. But tell me again how they could not corroborate that is quite damning by Lindsay right there, who the entire story was built around. So they went out of their way not to contact certain people that she said you should contact. The thing about having to move across town and having evidence that the landlord knew about it while she was writing about what was going on in her diary, like there's stuff there. But it was everyone, all the very same people who are now throwing Platner under the bus. All the Dems, they were all going, well, it said, could not corroborate. Could not corroborate. So someone at the New York Times. You know what? You want an ending of this story? No one ever pays the price. How about whoever wrote the story? Who wrote the story? The original Fifeld Platner story in the New York Times a month ago. That person, and it's probably a couple people that got the byline, they should all be fired. They should all be fired because they purposely crafted a story rather than told the truth. We'll get their names in just a second, but let's jump ahead here because it's all of these people, you have to understand. All they want is power. They don't have any principal. What's the name? Katie. Katie. Katie Gluck and Lisa Lure. Katie Gluck and Lisa Lure or something like they should be fired. Fire them. From the New York Times today. Oh, you guys had more. It turns out that Platner did a whole bunch of other awful stuff. You guys didn't follow every lead. You decided there were three other roommates you didn't want to contact and you only contacted the two who actually couldn't fully corroborate everything. Fired, fired, fired. That's not cancel culture. That's basic accountability in the profession known as journalism. Okay? But it's all of these guys. So here's another one of these people. This is Molly Zhang, fast. She's another one of these left wing activists and Democrat political consultant Rick Wilson, who I think used to be a Republican and now he's one of these pathetic Democrat ding dongs. Listen to them talk about Lindsey Fifeld, the original accuser, and then it will be juxtaposed with something more up to date. If you were a Republican strategist or
B
Mitch McConnell, what would you do with
A
a Grand Platinum or situation at this moment, I would use a cutout person who is deeply involved with a whole bunch of right wing causes and I would get her to the New York Times. I would try to tell it in a way that did not pay attention to the fact that she works for the Independent Women's Forum and the Heritage Foundation. I know the person that's making the accusations. She is a right wing activist and operator. It's the kind of person I would have used when I was still doing that kind of work.
B
I'm baffled that the vet and the
A
vetting process for this candidate, number one. I mean, this is just, you know,
B
the fact that they're just constant, you know, allegations, I think really is a
A
sign that there just was not proper vetting here. Okay, so she, Molly, John Fast, she's an MSNBC person or Ms. Now person, Rick Wilson. That's the type of person I would have used. Like what a scumbag. You are everything that's wrong with all of this. You're a political operative who will destroy people in your quest for power. So you're a terrible person. But you just dismissed Think about what they said there. Well, she worked at Heritage. She worked at Heritage, so obviously she can't be telling the truth. And then you flash forward and then that's Molly Zhang fast yesterday. Why didn't they vet prospect? You guys were running cover for him, you ridiculous lunatics. Abby Philipp over on CNN actually made sense on this one. I'm shocked and appalled.
B
And it's been interesting to see some of those people who dragged this woman who was in the Lindsey Fiffield, who was in the New York Times story. They called it uncorroborated claims. Another person basically said that she was essentially a plant of the Republican Party. And now those people have changed their tune. But I also think, like, is there an apology that needs to be had here and some soul searching that needs to be had here? Is it enough to just say, well, this woman I believe, I didn't believe the last one. And Lindsey Fifield pointed out to Ruben Gallego, mine weren't sufficiently troubling or serious for you after that first allegation, it is fair to ask what's up with people who have to look at the partisan identification next to your name before they decide whether or not they're going to listen to you.
A
Well, I'll be damned. Abby Philipp, that was a complete cohesive thought and statement from you. You summed up what I've been trying to say here. What is the difference between this new thing and all the rest of it? What would have been enough for you people? But that's why I'm saying clearly this has something to do with internal polling and or that more horrible stuff is going to come out about this guy. But you people have shown that you have no principles. I want to show you just this tweet from this loser. It's another one of these just like lefty online people. But this is what is going on with these types. This guy, Kyle Kalinsky, who used to work at the Young Turks, Platner could have sexted my mom and I'd still vote for him. Now it's a throwaway. I don't really care about this guy as much as that, I think gets to the heart of all of this. These guys will have no principles on their way to attain power. Nothing. Oh, that guy sent a cockshot to my mom. Okay, he's got my vote. Like what? But they literally mean it. And again, the crazy part about Platner is not that he was some dynamic, extraordinary candidate who gave an incredible speech and had a great track record. He was nothing. He was is I Suppose as average as anything and the fact that he now can destroy the entire party and essence because he could basically say, the hell with you, I'm gonna still run and I'm here, here we go with my insurgency and I'm gonna damn the rape victims and screw you, Bernie and take that Ro Khanna. It's all kind of beautiful, but let's put Democrat lunacy aside for just a second. We'll talk about Mars Men. And then we got some great news coming out of the administration. If you've been feeling more tired, stressed, or just not yourself lately, it might not be random. High cortisol, your body's stress hormone, can affect your energy, sleep, focus and overall drive. That's where Mars Men comes in. It's designed to support healthy testosterone production while helping your body manage cortisol levels naturally. No synthetic hormones or stimulants, just a clean formula that's made in the USA and third party tested for a limited time. Our viewers get 50% off for life, free shipping and three free gifts@ Mengotomars.com that's Mengotomars.com all right, so we've spent a lot of time on just genetics, generic progressive double standard, ding dong lunacy. Well, at the same time, Trump is trying to do a whole bunch of good things. And this Trump Accounts thing that we got a little more info on yesterday and they basically fully launched it now at the White House. There's some spectacular things coming out of this for the future, particularly if you have kids. Listen to this. Eligibility and contributions, Trump. This is according to Gemini Trump accounts are tax advantaged Investment accounts for US citizens under 18. Officially launched by the US government. Children born between 2025 and 2028 are eligible to receive a $1,000 seed deposit and accounts allow for up to $5,000 in annual contributions. The $1,000 benefit children born between 1-1-25 and 12-31-28 who are US citizens with a valid Social Security number are eligible for a $1,000 federal seed deposit. Philanthropic in addition to government funds, some accounts are eligible for extra deposits from private charities, such as a 250 gift for children and qualifying zip codes funded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. Contribution limits. Parents, guardians and employers can make annual contributions of up to $5,000 combined limit. Think how great that is, right? The world is changing fast. The idea that you're going to have to have a standard, say, college fund the way you used to maybe 20 years ago to get that four year degree and that's going to get you the job. Like that world does not exist anymore. And by the way, it probably didn't even exist 20 years ago. And that's why lesbian underwater basket weaving is not going to get you necessarily the best job, although you'll make a fine barista. Here is Donald Trump pointing out that this gets everybody involved. This is what a true partnership between the government and private, private enterprise and private citizens is all about. Millions and millions of dollars into the accounts of poor children, financially poor children. And the parents can't even believe what's happening. So it's an amazing thing. But parents, loved ones, churches, and generous companies and individuals will be able to contribute funds to these accounts to grow throughout the child's life. And again, if we have a good market like we do now, they're going to become actually very rich. They'll have hundreds of thousands of dollars. Think of that. Think of it. A child that has no money can have hundreds of thousands of dollars at a very, very young age. Accounts could grow to be worth numbers that nobody ever thought even possible. Okay, so check out some of these numbers. This is the image from the Trump accounts website. So at age 55, if you contribute nothing a year, meaning you got seeded the thousand, but you contributed nothing a year. Well, as time goes on, that will turn into 243,000. By the time you're 55, these children are basically newborns to 3 years old right now, if you contribute, and again, this can be your mom, it can be your grandparents, it can be your employer. $250 a year. Well, then when you're 55, you will have almost $900,000. And then look at this one. If you contribute $5,000 a year, and by the way, it can be partial. So it could be that your parents put in a little bit, your grandparents put a little bit, your employer puts a little bit, or whatever it is. But you do that every year. 5,000 a year. Starting now to when you are 50, you will have $13 million. Now, of course, you have to adjust for inflation and all those things, but this is the government working with private citizens and a foundation, the Michael Bay and Optimus prime is going to college, everybody, the Michael Dell Foundation. If anyone owes America something, Michael Bay owes us a couple million for those disastrous movies. But anyway, this is a beautiful thing about what the partnership is all about. Here's Scott Bessant with a bit more. So we'll get going. And good morning. Good morning. I am grateful to be with you on this historic occasion. The American dream belongs to every child. And today we are equipping the next generation with the right to claim their rightful share of it. Through Trump accounts, our president is creating an ownership economy, an ownership economy where all citizens become shareholders. 38% of American families do not have any exposure to our great equity markets. But with Trump accounts, over time, we can get that number to zero. Already, 6 million American children have signed up, 86% of them with families earning less than $200,000. So ring the bell, Mr. President. Yeah, this is just good, guys. This is just good. I just encouraged several of the people in the studio to start having kids real quick, because this thing is from kids born 25 to 28. So you got a little bit of a window right here. But then think about that. If you, let's say you make a decent salary, you don't have to be rolling in dough or anything else, but you make a decent salary. You have a kid born between 25 and 28 and you say, you know what? I make 100 grand, let's say, and I'm going to make a little more every year going forward. Well, $5,000 thrown into that account. And maybe you get your parents to throw in a little bit. 5,000 is the total. Right. So you throw in 4,000 and you get, and you say to your parents, hey, could you put 1,000 in every year for the grand, you know, for the next 20 years, whatever it is. And that will really start adding up again by the time they would retire at 55. If you did it the entire way, what was that, 13 million? I think you could make it on 13 mil. Alright, let's put a pin in that and talk about something on the cultural side of everything. Because, you know, Christopher Nolan, who's, you know, probably, is it fair to say he's the best modern director of all time? If you took, if you took the Batman movies, if you took interview stellar, if you took Inception, what else has he done? He did all the Batman, Inception. He did Oppenheimer. I didn't love Oppenheimer. He did Dunkirk, which was great. Yeah, I mean, he. In terms of maybe not the best living director, if you look at, you know, Scorsese and some of those other guys. But like, in terms of modern movies, he's just done so many hits one after the other, as you probably know. He's coming out with the Odyssey. It's coming out in about two weeks, I think, on July 18, if I'm not mistaken. And there's all sorts of stuff. There's a lot of controversy around it. Relative to woke and casting and some weird stuff. And I think this is going to be a big cultural story over the summer, so let's just dive in. Helen of Troy is the daughter of. Oh, no, wait, Phoenix, you got to go. We'll do that after. Sorry. So first I want to show you. Here is Helen of Troy in Greek mythology on the left there. And here is Helen Troy in Christopher Nolan's the Odyssey. And that is. Her name is Lupita Nyong'. Okay, now, well, that's just fine, so. Or just fine or it's not. But you can already see where the controversy is, right? So let me just give you a little bit of background on the mythology behind Helen of Troy. Helen of Troy is the daughter of Zeus. We all know Zeus with the lightning. And Leda, according to the myth, she was taken with the Trojan prince, Paris, an event that sparked the Trojan War, one of the central stories of Greek mythology. Helen became the enduring symbol of extraordinary beauty, desire, and the devastating consequences that can arise from both. So, okay, put up that image again. Look, it's mythology, right? So it's not literal, but if you look at the picture on the left, that would generally be in line with what maybe a beautiful Greek woman of thousands and thousands of years ago out of Greek mythology might look like in the. You have Lupita Nyuengo. Okay, that's fine. Go with me here. Here is Lupita Nyong' o being asked a bit about Homer and her adventure in this thing.
B
I'd be like, so, Homer, how do you feel about this screen time given to these women, considering how little you spent with them? Oh, okay.
A
And then do you lean forward and look at him like that?
B
Yes, like, hmm. Remember us?
A
Okay, so now I think you get why this is gonna be a big controversy, right? Like, let's put aside for a second the race component of it, right? Like, I'm gonna go out on a limb here. We'll have more on this in a second. That the ancient Greek mythology story was not about a black woman. But okay, he decided to cast a black woman. That. That's one part of it. And we would all like things to be colorblind and whatever. And, okay, fine, that's one part. But then she's also not upset that there wasn't enough female representation, as she's going on the press tour about all this, that the original story just wasn't focused on women enough. And it's like, lady, you are making millions of dollars to promote a movie. How about, don't undermine the source of the whole thing in the first place. But we've seen this so many times before. They drag everything into their modern political lens and then it turns people against it. It actually ends up so that the box office will not get the receipts that it is supposed to. Here is Lupita Nyong' o complaining that Homer's Iliad and Odyssey were actually just written from the male perspective. And is there anything worse than that?
B
When you read the Iliad and the Odyssey, very little time is spent in the perspective of the women. Right, right. It's very. It's told from a very masculine side of things. But this film takes a lot of. Takes time to really consider things from the female perspective.
A
Who cares? I'm gonna go out on a limb. And I used to love Greek mythology when I was a kid, man. Did you guys ever see the original Clash of the Titans with Harry Hamlin and get me a couple images of the original Clash of the Titans. And they did like claymation for a lot of the characters. And what's her name was in it comes from your. Oh, no, you're not a Harry, You're a Harry Potter guy. The lady, she was the wizard and she was in Downton Abbey. Professor McGrather Flaffer. Anyway, I love Greek mythology. There's so much love about it as a kid. What a great way. You know, it's such a great way. I think for. Look at that. That is the Kraken at the end going and grabbing. And then he takes. Harry Hamlin's flying on Pegasus and he takes. Get me Medusa's head. Get me one more of Medusa's head. And he turned the Kraken into stone. It's such a wonderful movie. They did a remake of it about 10 years ago or so that wasn't nearly as good, but. And it's just like peak Hollywood special effects and all that brilliant stuff. But what a brilliant way. You can go back to me if you like. What a brilliant way to tell ancient truths. Right. What is the point of religion or what is the point of any of these things? It's like. Well, the point is you tell stories. Stories, whether they're biblical stories or Greek mythology. And if the stories are engaging enough, through an engaging story, you can learn an eternal truth. And so there was something about Greek mythology that I always loved because it was like all these crazy creatures that were probably not real. Right. That Medusa was so damn good. Yeah. Like, these were things that most people, maybe kids believe it for a little bit. But I think the Average person walking around Greece in Athens right now is not thinking that these were all literal things, but the stories told you something true, that Hades was the God of war. And what does that mean? Et cetera, et cetera, and Poseidon was the God of water. But okay, but then they come to our modern times. You do a story, you. Then you're cast in something that is already a little bit curious because she was probably. Helen of Troy was probably not a black woman. And then you're doing a press tour and wokeifying the whole thing that we made it a little more womenly, but it. But that's not how it was. Here's a little bit more from Lupita.
B
The most iconic character I played is Helena Troy, and she's known for her beauty. Yeah, but my big question is, who's the woman behind the beauty? You know, because when you. When that's all you're known for, that must be burdensome.
A
Yeah, yeah, that's kind of like it's. That must be frustrating for her, amongst
B
many, many things going on than just beauty, right? Absolutely.
A
Yeah, maybe. But that would be another story, lady. This story is about Helen of Troy's beauty. You're doing a press tour. Undermining. Again. Undermining. It would be like, what would it be? It would be like it's 1977 and Star wars comes out and Mark Hamill is like, you know that force thing sounds kind of ridiculous, doesn't it? It's just so silly. Like what am I to going to put on mask and be able to figure out where things are? That's nuts. Laser swords. What are you crazy? Over on the View, here's noted racist Sunny Hostin, upset that some people think that Helen of Troy can't be black.
B
This idea was also explored in a book called Black Athena. I think people should read it. Which argues that classical Greek culture is heavily indebted to Afro Asiatic and near Eastern roots. I actually taught Greek mythology to 8th graders and so I covered this fun fact. So people that are saying that Helen of Troy could not possibly be played by a black woman don't know history, but what is it?
A
Holy sheep shit. That woman taught 8th graders Greek mythology so she knows what she's talking about. I mean, my lord. Look, is it possible that the. Again, it's a fictitious story, but is it possible that there were some black people in ancient Greece? It's just there isn't real evidence. And actually the book she's talking about, Black Athena, has been completely mocked and debunked by Historians for being inaccurate. And you can Google that yourself. I don't know of any black people that lived in ancient Greece. I just don't. But okay, Lady Phoenix, come with me. It's just. It's just nutty. So, okay, how can we tile. It's a little. The show had a certain rhythm to it. We changed it with this Odyssey thing here. But we wanted to show you that Sunny clip because then she came out with a real doozy. She's very nervous around American flags.
B
And I said this on this show many, many years ago because this is my 10th year on the show. And I said, there are times when I walk into a community and I see American flags all over the community and I suddenly feel unsafe because there is a section of this country that has co opted the American flag and they equate being an American or an American flag with white supremacy.
A
I love the people who applaud that. I go into a community with an American flag and I feel unsafe. And someone's like, yes, yes. You go, girl. Fierce. You got this. No, you don't. No, you don't. There is no place in America. Well, I believe that maybe you do. I believe in. Because you are. Something's wrong with you mentally. I believe that you might walk to any town, usa, and they'd have a bunch of American flags and they'd have some sparklers and people with coke bottle glasses with red, white and blue on them. And you might be freaking out, but that's because you're a brain dead racist yourself. There is no place where there would be a whole bunch of, you know, where there's a whole bunch of American flags, usually at Trump rallies. And those people aren't racing. And just as a throwaway, since we're kind of smacking around Sunny right now, here she is in 2014 when she almost killed her kid.
B
Cause I did write an opinion piece on CNN. I left my daughter when she was 14 months old in the back of our car. And I was with my husband. And it was a hot July day and literally, Anderson, my husband left her in the car. I left her in the car. We went to get a shopping cart. We took the shopping cart, but passed the car, went into Home Depot. I went into the garden center and it was only after about five minutes that my husband came to me and said, oh, my God. We left Paloma in the car and she was fine. But I will tell you, I'm still ashamed about it. I'm embarrassed. I'm horrified.
A
That's a total throwaway. It's quite gratuitous. I don't really need to comment it, other than you guys want a paloma for lunch? Maybe we'll make a couple palomas around here with a little copal. Copal. Little grapefruit juice, some lime. We'll do it. Okay. But when it comes to this thing around American flags and everything else, like, the idea that there's this set of people that are triggered by this or upset by this or think that the American flag means anything other than love for the country is so absurd. But look what's going on over in Cali. Here in San Marcos, an HOA is ordering people to take down their American flags because it's scary to some of these people. Residents say this debate with the HOA began two years ago. In part of an email explaining the policy In October of 2024, a board member identifies flying an American flag as essentially a political affiliative view.
B
I think that they. They don't like looking at my American flag.
A
The Ambiance Owners association wrote. These restrictions are not meant as an inconvenience or an invasion of freedom, but rather as a means of maintaining harmony, continuity, and property value. 35 years that flag has been on that corner.
B
I should not have to argue about my freedoms to display the symbol of freedom in America.
A
No matter the outcome of the board meeting showdown, Cook says you'll see her flag waving over this Fourth of July holiday. All right, look, it's just a stand. It's like a anecdotal story or whatever. And hoas can do whatever they want to do. That's the point. You pay in, and then there are rules that you have to abide by. Your lawn has to be this big. You can only put in, you know, native plants. There's a series of things, but the idea that this is going on in America, that people are upset that the American flag is being displayed, is just rather absurd. And I would say it's a symptom of a condition that is much deeper than that. So I think what we have to get to is consistent with something that I've been trying to just make a serious point on, because it's the only thing that's going to save the country is that, yes, there are lunatics, there are socialists, there are communists, there are Nazi rapists, and, you know, old socialist windbags who love them. Yes, those people all exist. But then there's the rest of us, and most of us want to put some of this stuff aside and kind of. You don't even have to love your neighbor. How about you just leave your neighbor alone? Wouldn't that be good enough? So I thought we could throw to this. This is from July 4th. They had Anderson and what's his name, Andy Cohen on cnn. And they brought Chappelle, Dave Chappelle on. And they talked a little bit about what. What it's like to be an American, why you are proud to be an American, and how do you view our country today? Boy, that's a loaded question. Now I see why Trump gets mad at y' all all the time. Why would you ask me that? I don't agree with everything that our government does.
B
But.
A
But the one thing that I really consistently believe and that I love about being an American is my countrymen. If I'm overseas or around the world, anytime I see an American over there, we just give each other the fight club look. Because we live in a madness that only we really understand what it's all about. And I have faith in my countrymen, no matter how crazy, all of this will make it feel that the sun will rise and that I feel like I'm part of a very incredible community. So God bless my countrymen and let us make this country absolutely great. Isn't that funny? At the end there, he almost said, make America great again. And that's the point. That's the point that Dave Chappelle is probably not that different than Donald Trump. If you love people, then you'll love Americans. And we, most of us, can set some of the stuff aside and let go of. Just stop making everything about race or genital or skin color. You know, if a rapist with the Nazi tattoos in your party say, no, no, that's too much. If we could just do those basic things, I really do think everything would be okay. I thoroughly enjoyed today's show. Can we get that AI video one more time? I'm sure we're demonetized anyway. Let's throw to that one more time, because that's a banger. Look at this thing. There he is.
B
Hey, stop that.

Get lost. Graham Potter, ladies and gentlemen, Post Game Show, 30 seconds. Rubinreport.locals.com it.
Host: Dave Rubin
Main Theme:
This episode centers on the spectacular political implosion of Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner following new sexual assault allegations. Dave Rubin explores the Democratic Party’s handling of the scandal, accusations of hypocrisy, and the dynamics of political power. The episode also analyzes media and public reactions, with commentary on the Trump administration’s new "Trump Accounts" program and the cultural controversy surrounding Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
Rubin opens with the collapse of Graham Platner’s Senate campaign amid sexual misconduct allegations, dissecting why Democrats initially backed the candidate despite mounting red flags and how party support evaporated after the latest accusation—from a fellow Democrat. He criticizes perceived double standards in progressive politics and the media, arguing "belief in all women" only extends so far as it is politically expedient. Later, he highlights the Trump administration’s "Trump Accounts" savings program for children and touches on the "woke" debate involving the casting of Helen of Troy in Nolan’s forthcoming film The Odyssey.
