I don't know if the glue that they are putting your eyelashes on is seeping into your brain, but you are an idiot. You just beheaded that guy. You're supposed to give head, not behead. Remember January 6th? That was the day that I had just switched over. I'd been doing eggs with olive oil and I switched back to real butter that morning. And then I was watching TV and people were freaking out because a few people with a Lego set or something showed up at the Capitol. Anyway, let's talk about boner pills for a minute and then we'll move on the other side. Sydney Sweeney, Bathwater. That's pretty good. All right, people, how you doing? I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin Report. It is October 14, 2025, and today is our last day in studio for just a little bit. Because that's right, today I get on a plane and then another plane and I somehow end up in Australia on Thursday. That's right. It's basically a two day adventure. When you take the all the flight time, six hours to San Francisco, 14 hours to Melbourne, you lose 15 hours time warp. But yes, then we will be in Melbourne, in Sydney and in Brisbane. There are the dates right there and there are some tickets still available. Dave rubin.com/events I've got some other little dinner situations and some other little things that'll be happening on the fly there. So stay tuned if you are down under, very excited to get going. And I have a feeling that we are gonna knock it out of the park on today's program. Everybody's ready to go. We're gonna hop on a plane. You people are all in storage in the back, which is very depressing for you. But they'll be taking good care of me up front, which is nice, so that I'm ready to perform my duties once we get there. However, I think you know what the show is about today. It's mostly about peace because there is a chance for peace. Not an automatic peace, not a Pollyannish peace, but a chance for peace. And it's because almost exclusively Donald Trump thought about the world a little bit differently. So we're going to get into what Donald Trump was doing differently. We're going to get into some of the people that were only doing things the old conventional way that never worked. But I thought a great way to frame today's show was a video that I saw yesterday afternoon going viral. And this is I love these videos. You guys know, I love these throwback videos, especially when they can sort of like shine A light on something that's deeply important today. And I particularly love these videos. When you see Donald Trump in you, it's usually in the 80s when he was loved by everybody in mainstream media. He would go on all these talk shows, people would beg him to run for president and all of these things, and he would say basic truths. And what you realize is the Donald Trump of 1986 is virtually the same man as Donald Trump of 2025. Although, you know, the hair's a little bit different, the skin's a little more orange, the affect has changed. He's a little gruffer now because there's a real softness to him back then. But if you listen to the heart and message of what he's saying, it's the exact same same thing. So, oh, wait, are we doing the. We're doing. We're not doing the throwback. We're doing the. Revenge is the success. Okay, so let's do it a little bit differently, actually. We're going to mix this up for you. Let's go back first to January of 2024. This is a clip we've shown you many times. Donald Trump talking about what his greatest success would be. I don't care about the revenge thing. I know they usually, usually use the word revenge. Will there be revenge? My revenge will be successful. All right, Robert Kerr. Okay, so that's Donald Trump, obviously, a year ago. And I loved that line. We've played it many times like that he wasn't out for vindictiveness and take out his opponents and all of those things, even though he says things about people and they were trying to jail him and all of that, that success, American success, if he can right the ship, that will be revenge. So now I want to throw back all the way back to 1985, and this is Donald Trump talking about somebody was going to have to save the United States, otherwise we would be doomed. Said that you could do a better job at negotiating an arms control agreement with the Soviets than some of these professionals who've been trying to do it for years. I didn't say me, Mike. I said somebody has to do it. If it were me, that'd be fine. I could do it. Somebody has to help this country. And if they don't, the country and the world are in big trouble. Because within a short period of time, as sure as we're sitting here, there's not gonna be a country and there's not gonna be a world. I mean, is he the same guy or what that he says somebody has to do it. He did not want to have to run for president. It's obvious. We've shown you plenty of those other interviews. When he's on Phil Donahue and he's on Oprah and all of those things, and they're like, please run for president. He's like, well, I don't really want to. I have other things to do. I'm a businessman, blah, blah, blah. But if nobody fixes it, right, Somebody, somebody. Could somebody jump in? And over the years, he saw basically nobody jump in. He saw a series of people who look at everything, at the conventional ways, everything through the conventional lens, let's say, and everything would then get worse. Donald Trump has come in and he realized, kind of like Homer Simpson, I'm somebody. Like me, right? Like, I'm somebody. Let me do it. I have to do it, because there is nobody else. And in a way, that's not to sound too over the top here, but that's kind of what an actual hero is. Not the guy who wants to be the hero, the guy who kind of has to be because he has no other choice. So, okay, let's put a pin in that. And now let's get to what's happening over the last couple days. So we just showed you Donald Trump a year ago. Revenge will be my success. Then we showed you Donald Trump 40 years ago saying, somebody's got to do it. Well, now let's show you Donald Trump, you yesterday as the guy who actually did it. Here he is in Charm El Sheikh, Egypt, signing the Gaza peace plan. Okay? This took 3,000 years to get to this point. Can you believe it? And it's gonna hold up, too. It's going to hold up. Now, the optics of that are super interesting because the people behind him, many of those Middle Eastern leaders, those are people who really, over the last, well, you could probably say 70 plus years, have used the Palestinians as a pawn, right? You have the king of Jordan there. If you want to talk about an apartheid nation, he's the Hashemite king of Jordan, which has a majority Palestinian population. He is actually in charge of an apartheid nation. Figure out. You can Google it. Black September, how many Palestinians his dad killed. And I think it was. What was it? September of 1972, if I'm not mistaken. But all of these people have used the Palestinians as pawns in their quest basically to destroy Israel. What has happened now in the last two years is they finally realize, man, we threw everything at them. We fired endless rockets from the north in this little place the size of New Jersey, they had to evacuate 300,000 people, but that didn't destroy them. We raped and killed their wives and children, and we kidnapped their people. And then we had the Houthis shoot rockets in, and the Syrians were shooting rockets every now and again, and the Egyptians closed the door to the Palestinians. All of these things happened, right? Car rammings, suicide bombs, Intifada, all of it, for all of these years. And those freaking little pesky Jews are still there. So they've all now because Donald Trump decided to lead. Somebody had to do it. Donald Trump, 1985, somebody had to lead the world. These guys are now sitting there as he signs a deal which basically says, no more of this bullshit, except that they're there, and then prosperity can reign throughout the neighborhood. So, okay, so there's some obviously very, very good things happening right now. And you saw all the videos of the hostages coming home and all of the rest of it. Now, I want to jump to a guy that did everything conventionally. He was thought of as hope and change. He was thought of as he's riding into the Oval Office on a unicorn on a rainbow, and he's going to make everything better. But actually, he ushered in a huge amount of the problems that we now see in the country, from wokeism and identity politics to all how to how crazy Iran got over the years because we got in that ridiculous nuclear deal which Donald Trump got us out of, then the Biden administration gave Iran all the money back and all those things, which obviously is deeply connected. I'm of course talking about Barack Obama. Here he is. Here's his tweet about what Donald Trump just did. And I think you will note that there's two words missing. At least after two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight, that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families, and that vital aid can start reaching those inside Gaza whose lives have been shattered. More than that, though, it now falls on Israelis and Palestinians, with the support of the US and the entire world community, to begin the hard task of rebuilding Gaza and to commit to a process that by recognizing the common humanity and basic rights of both peoples, can achieve a lasting peace. So that got 70, as you can see, 70. 73 million views on Twitter. But he did forget two words. One starts with a D, one starts with T. That's right. Donald Trump did not mention. Donald Trump did not mention the fact that Joe Biden and all of the Obama people that were around Joe Biden, they ran their administration, the Biden administration ran Middle east policy exactly as Obama would have, which was basically constantly putting pressure in the screws, turning the screws on Israel. The second Trump came in, they did it differently. Peace through strength, saying, hey, you guys, Hamas, let the hostages out or you're screwed. And then we get to peace. So not only is Obama not giving him credit there, he's also not taking a moment to be like, he could have been like, you know, I tried some things there, and actually, Donald Trump tried it a little bit differently, and that is pretty good. But, okay, he choked out a little bit of something. But then he went on Marc Maron's podcast yesterday, literally yesterday, to the backdrop of what's going on here with the Middle east, and listen to him talking about Donald Trump. I mean, what was unusual for me was obviously a lot of what I represented, a lot of what Michelle and I had tried to project, the values, our thinking about America. My successor seemed to represent the opposite. Right? Not seemed, did. Yeah. And so I think there was a lot of anger, a lot of sadness, some fear among a big chunk of the country. I have to say, it's interesting. I mean, just if you did, like a little body language thing there, I mean, the cross legs and the crossed arms, he just kind of comes off as nothing. Now it is almost unimaginable, if we could go back those 15 years or so to remember what it was like when Obama first came around. It captured the imagination of everybody. Now, some people saw through it. Let's say John McCain probably was one of them that saw through it, and plenty of Republicans saw through it, too. But it captured the entire cultural apparatus and hope and change, and it's an election on Facebook and all those things, we forget about that. That guy was basically the God of politics. There's only one guy, but he was the God of politics. And now he's kind of nothing. He represents all of the old stuff that's kind of going away there. It's interesting what he says is there, that Donald Trump represented the reverse of his and Michelle's values. But what were your values? Were your values, America First, Were your values to protect our border, to protect our culture, to not engage in WOKE nonsense and DEI and all those things? I mean, a lot of that. We weren't even calling it woke at the time. We weren't even calling it dei. Right. We were just starting to talk about identity politics. But you pushed all of that stuff. Donald Trump coming in and reversing that is because he got us back to meritocracy. He got us back to basic law and order and everything else. So, yeah, you might want to think about some of the things that you did. And as a matter of fact, that when you talk about the values that you represent, let's not forget that. I think, if I'm not mistaken, so I'm sure someone will fact check me on this. I think right before, was it a few days before he was elected? Maybe it was a few days after. We could check on this. Michelle Obama herself said the first time that she was proud to be an American was when Barack Obama was elected. So it must have. It was obviously after he got elected. We'll get the date on that. It doesn't really matter, but it's like, really, lady? That was the first time. And you guys have profited pretty well off of all of that because you're worth millions and millions and millions of dollars and you got a massive deal with Netflix produce movies and all of those things right now. And Donald, so you don't worry, you cashed out and Donald Trump's fixing the freaking country. Scott Jennings made the rounds on CNN yesterday. We're not even gonna play Scott and the retards for this one. He's on a different show. I wanna give these people the credit that they deserve, but here he is calling out Obama and the Democrats who refuse to credit Trump. Just credit the freaking guy, you idiots. He's been the most hyper political and hyper partisan post president we've ever had. He's still acting that way. They're not over the fact that Donald Trump won the national popular vote last year. And they keep warning about the same things that they were warning and fussing about during the campaign to which the American people then responded to. I think Donald Trump is executing every part of his agenda in almost exactly the way that he promised he was going to, up to and including enforcing laws in the United States that have been on the books for a very, very long time, that his predecessor chose simply not to execute. You throw that on top of the fact that he's having this extraordinary success on the world stage. And I just think Democrats from Obama on down are having a heck of a time understanding where they went wrong and how Donald Trump has captivated a nation and now the entire world. You know, speaking of body language, you see Obama sitting in the chair kind of crunched over like this, that you could do a great thing on body language on those shows. Could you see the side eye. Like Blanche Devereaux herself would be proud of the side eye that they are giving him there because all he does is just tell them the truth and they're just not used to it. So they're all just side eyeing. This is cnn. You're not supposed to tell the truth, man. But they have no rebuttal. To their credit, they do sit there and shut up while they listen to him. And of course, everything that he said there was right. And speaking of right, I was actually right. It was back in what'd you tell me? February of 2008. So Barack Obama had been president for a month when Michelle Obama came out and said that for the first time ever, she was proud of her country. I mean, really, really think about that. So you were never proud of your country until, oh, it happened to work out that your husband became president. But you weren't proud when he was a state senator. You weren't proud when he was a community organizer or anything else. Somewhat ridiculous. Now, let's also try another version of this, which is that a man who was president, or at least who pretended to be president, who occasionally sat at a desk and ate ice cream and was very confused about stuff and who they, they were running, he could be president right now. Had the whole thing gone a different way. Joe Biden, well, they had somebody write a tweet for him about the Middle east peace deal. And Joe Biden, or the man who wrote the tweet or whoever was in charge of this whole operation does deserve a little bit of credit because this is what Barack Obama should have said. I am deeply grateful and relieved that this day has come for the last 20 living hostages who have been through unimaginable hel and are finally reunited with their families and loved ones. And for the civilians in Gaza who have experienced immeasurable loss and will finally get their chance to rebuild their lives, the road to this deal was not easy. My administration worked relentlessly to bring the hostages home, get relief to Palestinian civilians, and end the war. I commend President Trump and his team for their work to get a renewed ceasefire deal over the finish line. Now, with the backing of the United States and the world, the Middle east is on a path to peace that I hope endures and a future for Israelis and Palestinians alike with equal measures of peace, dignity and safety. Look, I think he's giving his own administration a little bit too much credit. And again, he didn't write this. And God only knows where he is at the moment and everything else, but the overall tone there. You say President Trump, you make it clear that it was his policies that brought it there. You offer the hope of future peace. It's all kind of there with that. And that's what the message should be. But I would say that's indicative of what's going on with the Democrat Party because Joe Biden's not going to be around much longer and he certainly has no juice politically anymore. So he's a vestige of something that doesn't exist in the party anymore. I think Barack Obama barely exists in the party anymore because he may not even be radical enough for the direction that they're going, but he can't even choke out something somewhat true. Anyway, let's jump back because there were a bunch of press conferences, Sharm el Sheikh and elsewhere now with Trump talking about what has transpired here. And remember, he not only brought in a bunch of the Middle east leaders, they brought in all the leaders from Europe. You know, obviously Keir Starmer was there and Meloni was there, and what's, you know, the Islamist leader of Turkey was there. All the guys were there. And here's Trump saying that there will never be a World War Three. We're going to make sure that the Middle east is going to be a safe and secure place. It's a very important place in the world. Means so much. There were so many people who said the Middle east, and this is been going for many, many decades. I've read it many times that World War III will begin in the Middle East. It's not going to happen. That's not going to happen. There was a time that you would have thought it could have, but it's not going to happen. There won't be World War iii, hopefully at all. But it's not going to start in the Middle East. We're not going to have a World War iii. If we're smart, it'll never be a World War iii. Together we've achieved what everybody said was impossible. At long last, we have peace in the Middle East. And it's a very simple expression, peace in the Middle East. And we've heard it for many years, but nobody thought it could ever get there. And now we're there. We have a woman, a young woman who's, I'm not allowed to say it because usually it's the end of your political career if you say it. She's a beautiful young woman. Now, if you use the word beautiful in the United States about a woman, that's the end of your political career. But I'll take my chances. Words. There she. There she is. You don't mind being called beautiful, right? Because you are. Thank you very much for coming. We appreciate it. Great and enduring peace. I want to just end by saying, God bless you all, God bless the Middle East, God bless your countries, and God bless you. Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you. Thank you very much. You know, they got back on the plane and Melania was like, who do you think is beautiful? Okay, Putting aside that he obviously has a crush on Meloni over there. Look, peace. We can all whittle around like the word peace. And what does it mean? Even if it just is a cold peace going forward, like, you don't all have to love each other. I think there's going to be an incredible bunch of opportunities, particularly with Saudi Arabia and some of the other Gulf states. But stop this ridiculous game of thinking you are going to wipe Israel off the map, where you're going to endlessly, you moron losers are going to meet at the UN every week like the Legion of Doom from Super Friends, and you're only gonna focus on Israel and nothing else. Like, just get over that. And then, in essence, there will be peace. It doesn't mean that Palestinians and Israelis are going to be dancing together all the time, although there are plenty of Israeli Arabs, Muslims who dance with Israeli Jews all the time because they are actual democratic nation. And there are 2 million Israeli Arabs who live there. I don't expect any Jews to be suddenly living in Gaza. So it's so peaceful. You know, we can all. We can all dance around the word. What does it actually mean? But the point is, the fighting is over right now. And really what Trump has shown is if you want to fight now, meaning if you want to just keep lobbing rockets and keep doing all this crazy shit, the United States will not be with you. As a matter of fact, we will be against you. And that is what American leadership is all about. Here is video of Shabazz Sharif, who is the Prime Minister of Pakistan, talking about, had Trump not gotten involved, what was it about three months ago when there was some fighting between India and Pakistan, that that could have been a nuclear war. But the guy over here, he cleaned it up. Suffice it to say, had it not been for this gentleman, not only, who knows, India and Pakistan are both nuclear powers, had he not intervened along with his wonderful team during those four days, the war could have escalated to a level who would have lived to tell what happened? And similarly, here in this part of the world, In Middle East, Mr. President, your valuable contribution along with President Sisi, I think history will remember in golden words. I wouldn't say more. Accept. God bless you. God give you long life to serve like this for all time to come. Thank you very much. Thank you. Very kind. Why don't you all just pause for a moment? Let's try to think how this thing gone the other way. There was a man with dementia that they pretended was president who they were running. That man could have ended up president again right now. Now, he also has cancer at the moment and probably would have stepped down the second he got sworn in. But they realized that thing wasn't working and then they had a woman who couped him, who was completely unqualified. Imagine if she was president right now, that crazy woman with that incessant cackle who said she studied the maps of Rafah and don't go in. As I pointed out yesterday, Ben Netanyahu said, we're going in. And that's where they killed Sinwar, who was the leader of Hamas and got some of the hostages out. Do you think that the prime minister of Pakistan would be standing at a peace summit, thanking him for not dragging that part of the world into a nuclear war? Do you think any of this would be happening? The answer is obviously no. So this is a great opportunity for someone like Barack Obama or maybe for someone like your cousin or your aunt to be like, you know what? Things are a little bit better. Not, yeah, the border, okay, the border's a little bit better. The crime's a little bit down. The economy seems to be shaken out. Like, there's some good stuff here. But also peace in the Middle east, that was what everybody would have wanted 10 years ago before everything went completely insane. We all would have been on board of that. And if it wasn't for Donald Trump, there is just, it is just so patently obvious that we would not be in this situation. And by the way, now there may be future opportunity for even more peace. Here's Trump talking about how there's an Iranian peace deal in the offing, if they are ready for it. And why would they maybe be ready for it? Well, because Israel basically took control of their airspace in 12 days. America jumped in with, what was it, three bombs, four bombs last day. Now, the regime is kind of teetering right like this. They know the people are ready for an uprising. They've had it with the ayatollah and they've had it with the mullahs. And maybe they will come around to peace themselves. When you start realizing oh, exporting terrorism across the world and having an authoritarian control of your people isn't quite working. And having all these women in beekeeper customs, also not great. Then you might come around to peace. Just now you were talking about a possible Iran peace deal. You said, we are ready when you are. Is that the ultimate goal with today's signing, to get enough? Not Iran, but I think Iran will come along. They've been battered and bruised and, you know, they need some help. They have big sanctions, as you know, tremendous sanctions. I'd love to take the sanctions off when they're ready to talk, but they can't really survive with those sanctions. Those sanctions are very, very tough. But at some point they're going to say, we want the sanctions off. We're going to end up with peace. I think Iran is going to be fine. Now think how fundamentally different this is than what Barack Obama and then Joe Biden did. They lifted the sanctions on Iran. They gave money back to Iran. And remember that they said it was non fungible at first, which ultimately meant it was fungible. And then Iran could use that money to, to quite literally pay Hamas to do what they did on October 7th. Now they realize it's all drying up. Now they see a new Middle east and they're going, oh shit, Israel's not going anywhere. And all these other countries are coming around and they're going to expand the Abraham Accords and we're really on the outs. Exporting terrorism doesn't work anymore. None of this is really working anymore. And there you have a guy who's known to make deals, the art of the deal. You have a guy who's going, well, I'd prefer to work out a deal with them. So all they have to do now is come to the table. It is unbelievably extraordinary what's happening right now. That's not over the top. Oh my God, we live in Shangri La. That's just reality. And now it will be up to all of the leaders of all of these countries and the people in these countries to take a chance on peace, take a chance on a better world. Right? Like, stop with the hate. And God only knows how good it could be. On the other side. We will get to some of our own media coverage of Donald Trump and how it was slightly different when Joe Biden and other Democrats did things in just a second. But first, Tax Network usa. All right, so obviously Donald Trump is dislodging the sort of corrosive way the world has looked not only at the Middle east, but virtually everything for God knows how long. Right. There were just things that we were doing wrong across the board, whether it was our trade deals getting screwed, that we pay more money into NATO, what, everything we were doing with the Middle East. Like, the list goes on and on, and Donald Trump is basically breaking that calcified machine. Now, one of the people that have been, has been absolutely part of that calcified machine forever is Tom Friedman of the New York Times. I thought this was an interesting little piece. This is back in May of 21, and here is Jake Tapper, surprise, surprise, and Tom Friedman talking about how Biden perhaps should get a Nobel Prize because he brokered a little ceasefire when there was some fighting there a couple of years back. You say that you think the Israel Hamas cease fire could be President Biden's opportunity for a Nobel Peace Prize. You write to Biden, quote, you may be interested in China, but the Middle east is still interested in you. You deftly helped to engineer the cease fire from the sidelines. Do you want to do you dare to dive into the middle of this new Kissingerian moment? Unquote. Give us your estimate on whether or not you think Biden will lean into this diplomatic victory and try to make peace between Israel and the Palestinians a priority. Yeah. Well, he didn't make peace a priority. Right. He did all of the things that allowed Iran to fund Hamas, and they were talking about Nobel Prizes for him there. Like, these people have gotten everything backwards on top of the fact that Jake Tapper then years later wrote a book about a scandal that he helped cover up. Tom Freeman. Well, let's jump over now a little more from CNN. So this is in May of 2025. This is a little edit. You'll see Dana Bash and John King talking about how Donald Trump doesn't understand the Middle east conflict. And then it will be juxtaposed with a video from yesterday where one of the Israeli hostages. This is a man who lived in a tunnel being fed breadcrumbs underground for two years. How he talks about how once Trump was elected, the Hamas guys realized their time was coming to a close. The premise of this whole conversation was an expectation that Donald Trump himself sat in the campaign, which is, I'm going to fix all of this. And a lot of people believed it. It turns out. Even the Hamas terrorists apparently, who were holding hostages. Hostages? Yeah, they wanted. Who terrorists were afraid of. Trump. Yeah, they wanted Kamala to, to be chosen. You talked politics with them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They wanted Kamala to be elected. The war is definitely not over. And not all hostages are out. Not all hostages are out. And again, another thing that Donald Trump said would end, but the rest of the world is saying, Donald Trump cannot be trusted on these issues. Where America used to lead, there is American leadership here. It's Netanyahu. Do whatever you want. It's not, how do we end this? Where's an American president to try to figure this out? Well, he just wants Gaza emptied so they can build hotels. Well, I think it's the same idea. What we were talking about with Ukraine is that he didn't understand why it wasn't being done before he was there. Then he got into office and realized, wow, this is really, really hard. And now he's turned his attention elsewhere. Do you realize how ridiculous these people are? First off, Dana Bash and John King there, they used to be married. So you're watching a divorced couple. What is that on cnn, on mainstream media, where they have these either married or divorced people? It's like Joe Scarborough sitting with that ice cold bitch that he's married to. Like, it's like, what is going on there? They're no longer married. But you see back in May of 2025, Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing and he just wants to empty God's own. He just wants to let Netanyahu do what he wants, blah, blah, blah. And actually, there was a plan the entire time. Just like there was a plan that took out Iran in 12 days without an American boot on the ground. There was a plan and Donald Trump saying, hey, we're gonna turn the Whole thing into Las Vegas of the Middle East. It was part of the psychological warfare. There was a psychological aspect to it, there was a military aspect to it. And you guys just don't know what you're talking about. And, and that's fine. That's fine. You work at cnn. That's just fine. But maybe on a day like today, I assume Dana Bash and or John King are on television today. Maybe you wanna have a moment. I would do it. And I'm not even a journalist. I would. If I got everything wrong over the last however many years, I would be like, boy, you know, I really did get that one wrong. And I guess Donald Trump did know what he's doing. But you never do that, do you? Because that's part of how it works when you get those gigs. Let's jump over to Washington Post. There's a columnist by the name of Shadi Hamid. He's one of these sort of Islamist adjacent types that works at the Washington Post. And here he is talking about how Israel shouldn't kill the low level Hamas members and they should get amnesty because they're kind of into, they're in the government and maybe they can kind of be good guys at some point. How do you disarm Hamas? And that is not yet quite clear how that's to be worked out. But also it's good that in the 20 point plan there is a path for Hamas members who commit to peaceful coexistence and give up their arms to get amnesty or get safe passage outside of Gaza. Because at the end of the day there are still going to be, there still will be a significant Hamas presence. So you can't just pretend they don't exist and you can't eradicate every single member of Hamas. Nor should you. That would just. And that didn't even happen. Not that I like this comparison too much, but when we say nor should you, your case for that is what I mean. You can't, you shouldn't kill like low level members of Hamas people who were not implicated in October 7th. Hamas is a popular movement and there has to be some way to bring in the low level members into the political process because you don't want them to play spoiler. Look, I mean, why is CNN bringing on like a PR guy for a jihadist organization? Why is he out? Don't kill low level members of Hamas. We have to figure out a way to integrate these guys. No, you don't. Like, we will see what happens on the other side. And actually, as a matter of fact, in the 20 point plan. They have to lay down their weapons now. They most likely won't. And there's plenty of videos going around right now of them. They're assassinating all sorts of Gazans right now who they're accusing of working with Israel and everything else. But they're basically trying to accumulate power. Again, these are not good people. But it's interesting to me that CNN brings on a basic, I mean, he's basically a paid PR agent for a jihadi group. That's interesting. I will give Brianna Keller credit there. She actually asked the right question. Basically. She was like, well, what are you talking about? And okay, well, whatever. Now let's jump because some interesting things are happening. This was going viral yesterday. This is all the way back in January of 2025. Over on the View, Alyssa Farah, who as you know, she's the pet Republican, she says one same thing a week. They pat her on the head, they give her a cookie and then they usually belittle her for the rest of the week. Here she is in January of 25 saying that if Trump gets the hostages out, she will wear a MAGA hat on the show. I my point, when I say I'm not going to be apocalyptic. It's not changing a tune. It's not making every single thing a five alarm fire. If he does good, if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show and say thank you for doing it. She'll knock it right off my head. But like we, you have to be able to cheer for wins when they happen and then call out relentlessly the wrongdo. Now, unfortunately, she did not wear a hat. She just didn't. I guess she didn't want to be hit by Sunny Hostn because she's so pleasant. But she did say that Donald Trump deserves credit. This is yesterday. I think everyone should be able to celebrate it. And listen, whether you like Trump or not, I think he, I think Steve Wycoff and I think Jared Kushner do deserve credit for this deal. They actually personally met with Hamas. I used to be of the mind. We don't negotiate with terrorists. But sometimes the only way to get peace is to sit down with some of the most evil people and try to come up with what we can do to end the bloodshed. So thank God. I pray that this peace holds. Yeah, that's right. That's right. Congratulations. It's just so interesting the way they have to so guiltily everything has to be, I don't love Trump and don't worry, I don't love Trump and these people. And it's like, man, you guys are doing everything wrong. Now, Sunny Hasan, you may have noticed she was dressed as if she was going to a funeral because I think she is a Hamas supporter. She has been awful throughout this, the entire time. She is one of the most racist, wackadoodle, lefty people on television. But here she is saying that she's been praying for peace. I think we've, I think, I think we've said it all. It's just as a faithful person, it has been my daily prayer that there be peace there, and I remain a faithful person that this truly is the dawn of peace in the Middle East. I truly hope that this is what this will be, a lasting, lasting peace there. And also it's good to be able to say to people, remember the Palestinians are separate from Hamas. Remember they were not able to vote. They could not do anything. They had no rights in their country. So it's good that we have all been able to say, oh, okay, that's the difference here. They're all so stupid. First off, Sonny, what you might want to recognize there if you've been praying for peace is that Donald Trump did everything against what you and Biden and all the people you love were pushing for. So peace, to whatever extent there is peace right now is because Donald Trump did not listen to people like you. That's number one. And then Whoopi, Whoopi half, well, the Ozempic, she's a little less Jabba the Hut these days. She's a little more predator. But whatever it is, Whoopi, the Gazans did vote for Hamas in 2006. And then you know what happened when they won the election? They killed all of the opposition leaders, literally throwing them off rooftops, the Fatah guys. And then they have never had elections again in 19 years. Also, it was plenty hundreds of regular Gazans who burst through that fence and worked with Hamas. There is no regular Gazan out there that's running around screaming how much they hate Hamas because Hamas would kill them. Now, it doesn't mean that every single person that lives there is evil and is a supporter, like a, like a card carrying supporter of Hamas. But pretending that they have nothing to do with it is just ridiculous. And it just, once again, it's like, why someone at ABC News should be watching that show and be like, well, Whoopi just said they didn't vote for it, but they did vote for it. And then you'd Come back from commercial and just make a very simple correction. Whoopi would say, I've been smoking a little too much of the funny stuff and I don't know what I'm saying. Also on abc, there's a quote, unquote comedian named Jimmy Kimmel. And here he choked out that Donald Trump's not terrible. What a day for Donald Trump. You know what? He finally did something positive today, and I want to give him credit for it because I know he's not the type to take credit for himself. Trump was in Israel and Egypt today to celebrate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. All 20 Israeli hostages are home after 738 days. Almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees have been released. And while we're only in the first phase of what will undoubtedly be a long and tricky process, the fact is the bombing has stopped, the hostages have been released, and Trump deserves some of the praise for that. And so I know it sounds crazy to say, but good work on that one. President Trump. Now maybe you can not invade Portland. Just an idea. It's just terrible. It's just terrible. Listen, if you watch that show and you laugh at any of that, don't watch the Rubin Report. I can't have you here. There's no. We don't have the technology to be able to hear people through the computer, so to know if they're laughing at Jimmy Kimmel clips. We're working on that kind of thing. Okay. Once we get that installed, we'll know if you're laughing. And if you're laughing, you're not going to be allowed to watch your show anywhere. Let's talk about crypto.com for a second and then we will get to the Democrat Party because it is in decline, thanks to some of the people we've just shown you, and they just don't know what to do. Cryptocurrency isn't just the future. It's already reshaping the world of finance. And one of the leading companies in that transformation is crypto.com, the trusted platform used by millions around the globe. Recently, Crypto.com partnered with Trump Media and Yorkville Acquisition Corporation in a major $6.4 billion initiative built around CRO. Crypto.com's native token. CRO powers fast, low fee, decentralized finance, stalking rewards and real world benefits like cash back on everyday spending. This collaboration underscores how far digital assets have come and how platforms like crypto.com are helping bring cryptocurrency into the mainstream economy. All right, so whether it's the ridiculous people on the View or their late night comics, there's just like a whole machine that launders the lies, gets everything wrong, maybe occasionally begrudgingly gives credit when Donald Trump creates peace in the Middle east, et cetera, et cetera, but they just don't know what to do. The party is completely out of control and it is getting worse. So Gavin Newsom, who also is a podcaster, very exciting for some reason has not had me on the show. We keep asking, can we bump that email up to the Newsom people? We will bump up the email to get me on the Gavin Newsom program because he doesn't have bigger problems. He had Chris Murphy on. Chris Murphy is senator from Connecticut. He is just, he comes across as if he should be just like this moderate of average nothing guy, but he is just another one of these awful radicals. And here they are talking about how terrible Democrats are and how nobody likes them. You feel like our party is in better shape or worse shape? Are we finding our voice? Is this shutdown, in a perverse sense, helpful in terms of just organizing that voice and a clarity of what's at stake? All right, well, I'm going to turn that question back around on you, too, but, I mean, the polling would not tell you that I. Our party is in good shape today. We are historically unpopular. And part of that is just people expressing their frustration about Trump's lawlessness through their indictment of the opposition that they would hope could have arrested more of it. But, yeah, he's giving us an opportunity. He has been exposed as a fake populist. He is simply operationalizing government to steal from poor people, cut their health care to enrich himself. And so that really commands us to try to figure out why we've lost so many votes amongst poor people in this country. Because they're now questioning whether this guy is actually righteous, whether this guy actually is looking out for them. But they're not ready to vote for Democrats. Yeah, because you guys, like the giant robotic made in Spaceballs, both suck and blow. That is the problem. Note, you couldn't say anything positive about yourself. You basically made up nonsense about Trump. Trump has not cut health care for poor people. Google it yourself. Can people pause a live video? Is that a thing? Can I be Paul? That's Justin does a lot of that. He freezes me and then I can't move till he touches me. That's what's happening over here. But you see the point. Google it yourself. Has Donald Trump cut health care for poor people? He hasn't. Are they trying to stop illegals from getting health care? Yes. And yet if you are an illegal and you're driving around with the Mexican hat with the song and the whole thing and you're hit by a car, you can still show up to the emergency room. But these two guys, they have nothing to say that is positive about their own party. Everything that they want to say is scary about Donald Trump. Scary Donald Trump who closed the border. Scary Donald Trump who's kicking out the illegals. Scary Donald Trump who's making sure you can go to the theater in Chicago without getting raped. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, peace in the Middle east, et cetera, et cetera. But then of course, the other thing they do is they have to make you think not only is Donald Trump coming to get you, but everyone who works with Donald Trump is evil. And that's why they're wearing masks. Immigrants have rights and we have the right to stand up and push back. And that's what we're doing here today. This is a disgrace. This is an outrage rage what we have allowed to happen in this country. And I could not be more proud of this legislature. I'll be signing a bill, the first in the nation, saying, enough ice unmask. What are you afraid of? What are you afraid of? All right, we'll get to ice unmasking for a second. But the sign language guy there, huge head on that guy that was like, remember in NBA Jam, you could put in a code and then you'd get a huge big head like, what's going on over there? But Gavin Newsom. So mask. You don't want these people to mask. Now, you have no problem with antifa masks. You have no problem when there are people who literally dress up like Hamas members and harass people in Los Angeles and everything else. And as I have pointed out many times, there is a reason these people antifa. The ice people mask. The reason they mask is not to protect themselves. It's to protect their families. This is Superhero 101. Here is a three second clip that will explain it from Spider Man. Peter Parker wears the mask to protect those he loves from the dangers his enemies pose. Yeah, that's it. It wasn't Peter Parker protecting himself. It's not the ICE agent protecting himself. The ICE agent, usually a big guy, got a gun, knows how to fight. It's that he does not want his family harassed. He does not want his family to be doxxed and someone go after his kid at school and everything else. So again, Newsom, instead of pointing everything at the good guys who are just doing their job and trying to make our cities and our country safer, how about if you don't like masks? And it's so ironic, this man who doesn't like masks, who masked up his population in Cali for years under Covid while he was eating at literally the most expensive restaurant in all of California. Not dry laundry. What they're called French Laundry. Thank you. Give me some pictures of French Laundry. We'll put them up at the end of the show. While he was sitting with lobbyists, no less. It's like, why don't you want Antifa and Hamas unmasked? You only want the good guys. On our Actual Friends podcast that I now do with Jillian Michaels and Dr. Drew and sometimes Russell Brand joins us. And of course, my good friend Sage Steele. We have a rotating. I love doing this show. We do it once a week. If you haven't subscribed, it's called Actual Friends. You can find it on rumble and YouTube and everywhere else. We had Gillian on this week and she's still at least part time in la and she does not like Gavin. You think I don't like Gavin Newsom? She also does not like Mr. Newsome. Forget the protests. What about the riots? You're out there looting, setting cars on fire, destroying property in your mask. Like protesting. This is. This is actually a crime. What these guys are doing in some cases in some of these cities, attacking law enforcement, that is a crime. Destroying property, that is a crime. Looting crime. And they're allowed to wear these masks. But our law enforcement, that is getting doxed and having their lives threatened and having their family's lives threatened, which is very real and I've now experienced it on some very small level. You've got scumbags, I'm sorry, Like Gavin Newsom acting like he is some sort of hero, doing this to these guys, putting their lives at risk and their families lives at risk, despite the fact that they are literally just enforcing federal law. It is their job. They don't even make the law. And if you don't like the law, do something about it. It's that simple. The Democrats a great job brainwashing millions of people and twisting the narrative to get to the point where we are today. Like, it breaks my heart. So people get it. People get it. That's the point. Look, I get, I get that there's just a certain Amount of blue pilled people. There's a certain amount of people who just, they seem to like being abused. They seem to like being lied to. They seem to just like swallowing whatever shit the machine gives them on any given day. But I think more and more people are waking up like, Gavin Newsom. You are not the good guy in this situation. Do you think that the average. Do you honestly, Gavin, do you honestly think that the average guy who gets a job at ICE that he's this bad guy who really is racist and hates brown people and he wants to round up immigrants? Or is he trying to do something? Is he giving back to his country? Is he doing a duty for his country, which is that we are the United States, States of America, and the people who are here in the United States of America should be citizens of the United States of America. And of course, you know, in that clip we showed you of Gavin right there with the big head guy, Gavin says immigrants. They're taking away the health care of immigrants and they're going after immigrants. He never says illegal immigrants. Because these people don't make a distinction. Because for years, and it's now been proven, the Democrats don't want a distinction between legal and illegal. Because the only thing that will keep their grift going as more and more people wake up as to what the Democrat Party is, the only thing that will keep them going is if they import people, get them on the government dole, and then they say, hey, we're the Democrats. We're the ones paying you to live. Stick with us. They are literally importing new voters. I do not think that is a conspiracy at all. But at the end of the day, in an age where people can get new information and hopefully slog through the lunacy of the Internet to get something true, people are waking up. And then they start realizing the Democrats ultimately end up being their own worst enemies with these ridiculous policies. So watch this clip. This is CNN reporting that the latest round of federal layoffs has decimated the special ed office within the Department of Education and a few other things. But they never tell you, like, has anything bad happened? It's always, people got fired, we cut the funding, but they never. There's never any end result. Okay, is anything bad happening? I was about to. I'll tell you what I was gonna say. I'll tell you what I was gonna say. Play the clip. Mass layoffs include the Departments of Commerce, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Homeland Security, and the Treasury Department. Multiple sources at the Department of Education Tell CNN the latest round of mass layoffs have decimated the office that handles special education programs serving millions of children, youth and adults with disabilities nationwide. And a bipartisan policy center review says nearly 1.4 million other federal workers are either furloughed or working without pay. All right, just for the record, what I was going to say. Was that funny or what? I mean, that was funny. I just. Trust me. Let me just skate on this one. It's not what we're saying on air, but always, this is what they do. 1.4 million people furloughed. The 4,000 people got laid. Okay, fine. But everything seems to be working. We're still in the midst. How many days into the government shutdown are we? We're like 10, 12 days in six months. I don't even know anymore. Nobody cares. Everything's fine. You can all go away. You don't have to go home. You can't stay here. We don't care. People are ridiculous. And as they get more ridiculous and as people realize that we don't need them, we don't need you, Chuck Schumer. What do you have to do? You have to scare the hell out of us. Here's Chuck Schumer toning down the rhetoric. It is just such a hallmark of tyrannical, autocratic dictatorship societies that the. They use the prosecutorial department as a political weapon. It is a disgrace. And every American. I don't care if you're Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, moderate. People should be forcefully rising up against this, speaking out against it. Chuck, I am happy you've been taking my notes and you're wearing your glasses at normal length, at normal levels again. But you guys are the ones that use the prosecutor. Prosecutor prosec. You guys did that shit, okay? The prosecutorial prosecutor. You guys tried to put Trump in jail for nothing. So now you're upset that you've lost power. And I know he's an authoritarian. It's just endless scary nonsense. And of course, what's the ultimate of all the scary nonsense? They must convince you that not only is he grabbing black and brown people off the street streets and all this terrible stuff, but you will die. You will die. Here's Kamala Harris on your death. Misinformation and lies at the highest level of government. It's criminal. And people will die because of what they're doing. I can't laugh about that. I'm sorry. Well said. I'm make a joke about that. Let's still circumcision. Okay, so it's a weird one. Anyway, I actually didn't catch what the joke there was, but. Okay, so Kamala, people are going to die, right? Like, that's it. That's. That's the. At the end of the road of your. Is that's all you got left? Like, you could freak people out. They're coming to get you. They're jumping out of cars. They're grabbing you with masks from this guy, that guy. But at the end, what's the scariest thing? Usually, it's death, right? Although Seinfeld says that, you know, what's the joke? People's number one fear is public speaking. Their number two fear is death, which means that if you were at a funeral, you'd rather be in the coffin than giving the eulogy. That's pretty funny. But the point is that all they've got now is that death is coming for you. Well, we did a little Googling. We're all over this Google today. Do people Google anymore? I don't know what you use there. ChatGPT. Remember Covid? It was this thing with people were coughing occasionally. Under Donald Trump, 400,000 people died of COVID That's a lot of people. But under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, 650,000 people died of COVID So when it comes to death, lady, you're number one. But this is. It's across the party right now, right? So whether it's Gavin Newsom and Dan Goldman, these nothings, or if it's the genuine wackadoodle like AOC Bernie, Socialist Mondami, the jihadist, like, it's just a crazy party everywhere. And then every. Every one of the Democrats who should just kind of be sane, they. They can't do it. They cannot do it. Mark Kelly, senator, Democratic senator from Arizona. The man went to space. He's an astronaut. This is a bright guy. Like, this is a guy who could have been the head of a party who's, like, a decent human being, but he does not even know what to do amongst the crazies in his party. So here he is talking to Kristen Welker, and, yeah, he's down for Kamala, 28, because, I don't know. Insert fart sound. Do you think that Kamala Harris would be a strong candidate in 2028? Candidate? Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. I mean, she was the nominee last time. I think she would encourage her to run. I think she would be incredibly strong. I mean, again, like, a body language and eye contact thing. Like, dude, why can't you just say no? Why can't you say you Know what? Actually she was a horrible candidate. She doesn't really stand for anything. We have a huge problem in our own party. We're all trying to figure it out. I'm not really a socialist or a radical. I'd like to push against that. You might. I don't know if you have real political aspirations outside of being a senator at this point, but people have talked about it. With your name, it's like, why not have some balls? I know. Cause a dude with balls would freak these people out. Let's take a break. I need some water or something. Keep doing the show when I get back. Gold has officially gone mainstream. We're almost at the end, guys. Let's go back to where we started. Where did we start today's show, dom. Donald Trump 2024. I don't care about the revenge thing. I know they usually use the word revenge. Will there be revenge? My revenge will be success. All right. Robert Kerr. Yeah. Because we all want success. Well, not we all. Most of us in America, the large swath of us in America that have some differences and whatever. The way it always worked was that if the things were going good in the country, if the economy was chugging along and you didn't have endless crime and craziness and if you had, I don't know, peace in the Middle east, we'd all feel pretty good and we'd let go of some of the hate and it would all be good. Unfortunately, the liberals decided to be illiberal. However, there are one or two who are not. And Bill Maher, of course, is the main one. He had William H. Macy, great actor William H. Macy on the Club Random podcast and here they are talking about how, yeah, Trump's done some things right and maybe he's not our guy, but it's pretty, pretty good. I always say this. You cannot ever deny success. You just have to give your respect, even if it's not your thing, have the humility to give it up for enormous success on any level. I agree. Trump, not my choice, didn't vote for him, but. But a lot of people did. And he's. I can't deny the success. I can't either. Yeah, and he's the president. And he's the president. Look, I don't know anything about William H. Macy's politics. I don't really care. He doesn't strike me as a Trump guy particularly. But yeah, it's good someone did something good. The country's getting better, things are getting safer, we're getting closer to peace in the Middle East. Like, oh, I mean, Joseph's telling me he sounds like he's an NPR listening liberal, I think. Oh, I did watch a little bit of the clip where he talked about something like that. So it's like, this is not a Trump guy, but yeah, you should want American success. You don't need to do what Obama does, which is not really, admit it when good things are happening. But all of that aside, something much more important happened on that episode of Club Random. Watch this. Oh, I love it. Oh, now that's mine. I know. Actually, that's Dave Rubin. Does he know? It's very smooth. It's very smooth. So Bill Maher, you get it about liberalism and you get it about great tequila drink Copal. The best part of that is that William H. Macy is a whiskey drinker and he created a new whiskey. So I've got my. Everyone's got to drink these. You guys have your own. You don't have a beer. You don't have a little craft brew or something. You're working on it. But he has a new whiskey out and Bill's talking about how much he loves Copal and how great it is and it's smooth and blah, blah, blah. And then William H. Macy pours him a shot of his whiskey and Bill drinks it. And you can see, he's like. And William H. Macy goes, well, that's not the face I wanted, brought a little smile to my face. So let's end with this because it's where we started and it's true and it's right. And there is one man we should all be thanking today. Go said that you could do a better job at negotiating an arms control agreement with the Soviets than some of these professionals who've been trying to do it for years. I didn't say me, Mike. I said somebody has to do it. If it were me, that'd be fine. I could do it some. Somebody has to help this country. And if they don't, the country and the world are in big trouble. Because within a short period of time, as sure as we're sitting here, there's not gonna be a country and there's not gonna be a world. Oh, we've got a country, and we've got a world that's tilting more towards peace. And there was a guy, and that is literally the Homer Simpson meme. I'm a guy like me, right? Like, at the end of the day, Donald Trump wanted to somebody to do it, and nobody did it. So he did it. And he deserves all the credit. I don't think. I think he's getting hopefully past the point where this is about credit. I actually don't think it is. I think it's about something else. Yeah. Does he want the Nobel? There's still all that little stuff. But I think what he really realizes is he became the person he was supposed to be. By the way, here are some images. We have some images of French Laundry. So Gavin Newsom during COVID It's still worth pointing out. So he was locking everybody down, and he went to dinner at French Laundry, which is up in the, you know, wine country up there. It is $435 per person. And supposedly they spent, I think, $12,000 just on wine that night while he was locking people down. So he had people in masks while he was unmasked for surf and turf. It's twelve hundred dollars per person. That is a lot of cash. All right, guys, so that's our last episode in studio till I think. I think we're back on the 29th or so, something like that. We have a bunch of live events there. We're going to be shooting shows, by the way, so stay tuned. We will be shooting Rubin Report direct episode, direct message episodes while we're in Australia on the fly. They might be literally on the beach. They might be in hotels. We're figuring all of that out, so stay tuned. And we'll have. We're I'm going to do a ton of press there and all sorts of stuff. So we're not disappearing Channel ain't going anywhere but very excited to go down under. We're going to do an abbreviated postgame show because then I got got to get to the airport. Rubinreport.locals.com thanks for watching. See you on the other side.
Podcast: The Rubin Report
Host: Dave Rubin
Episode: Obama Can’t Hide His Bitterness at Trump After Middle East Peace Deal
Date: October 14, 2025
Dave Rubin discusses the historic Middle East peace deal signed by Donald Trump, juxtaposing it with the responses (or lack thereof) from Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and other Democratic figures. Rubin criticizes the mainstream and progressive establishment for their reluctance to give Trump credit, explores why the peace deal is significant, and highlights both the domestic and global political implications.
Rubin on Trump’s Approach:
Looks at Trump’s public statements over four decades, showing continuity in his focus on American leadership and peace (05:25–10:30).
Heroism Motif:
Rubin aligns Trump’s efforts with a reluctant hero narrative:
“That’s kind of what an actual hero is. Not the guy who wants to be the hero, the guy who kind of has to be because he has no other choice.” (09:50)
Historic Nature of the Deal:
Trump signs the deal in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, ending a conflict that “took 3,000 years to get to this point” (13:00).
Hostages Released, Pathways to Prosperity:
Videos of hostages returning home reinforce the gravity and impact of the agreement.
Obama’s Reaction (Tweet Analysis):
Rubin reads Obama’s tweet verbatim (20:40), highlighting the conspicuous absence of Trump’s name:
“He did forget two words. One starts with a D, one starts with a T.”
Strongly criticizes Obama for failing to offer even grudging respect.
Obama on Marc Maron’s Podcast:
Cuts are played where Obama discusses Trump “represent[ing] the opposite” of the Obama family’s values (23:55). Rubin counters:
“But what were your values?”
Argues that Trump’s presidency reversed the “woke” and “DEI” policies attributed to Obama’s tenure.
Biden’s Tweet:
Slightly more crediting, actually names Trump:
“I commend President Trump and his team for their work to get a renewed ceasefire deal over the finish line… Now, with the backing of the United States and the world, the Middle east is on a path to peace…” (31:35) Rubin doubts Biden wrote it, sees it as indicative of Biden’s fading relevance within the party.
Scott Jennings on CNN:
Calls out Obama and Democrats for partisan refusal to credit Trump:
"He's been the most hyper-political and hyper-partisan post-president we've ever had..." (34:10)
"Whether you like Trump or not... Steve Wycoff and Jared Kushner do deserve credit for this deal."
“...good work on that one, President Trump. Now maybe you can not invade Portland...” (01:06:12)
Rubin mocks the begrudging tone, noting the comedic establishment’s inability to handle genuine Trump accomplishments.

Prospects of Iranian Peace:
Trump hints Iran is under pressure from sanctions; open to removing them if Iran negotiates in good faith (01:14:53):
“I’d love to take the sanctions off when they’re ready to talk, but they can’t really survive with those sanctions. Those sanctions are very, very tough…”
Rubin:
“There you have a guy who’s known to make deals, the art of the deal... Now they just have to come to the table.”
Gavin Newsom & Chris Murphy (Sen. from Connecticut) on Party Woes:
"The polling would not tell you that our party is in good shape today. We are historically unpopular..." (01:21:22)
Masking Policy Rows & ICE:
“Misinformation and lies at the highest level of government. It’s criminal. And people will die because of what they’re doing...” (01:31:30)
Bill Maher & William H. Macy (Club Random Podcast):
“You just have to give your respect, even if it’s not your thing, have the humility to give it up for enormous success on any level.” (01:39:30)
“Trump, not my choice, didn’t vote for him but...I can’t deny the success.”
Rubin’s Final Take:
Rubin on Trump’s Reluctant Heroism:
“That’s kind of what an actual hero is. Not the guy who wants to be the hero, the guy who kind of has to be because he has no other choice.” (09:50)
On Obama’s Reluctance:
“He did forget two words. One starts with a D, one starts with a T.” (20:40)
Scott Jennings on Democrat Reaction:

Bill Maher on Respect:
“You just have to give your respect, even if it’s not your thing, have the humility to give it up for enormous success on any level.” (01:39:30)
Dave Rubin’s episode is a sweeping, sometimes combative but articulate takedown of the left’s response to a historic world event. It covers Trump’s approach to peace, the reluctance of his detractors to offer credit, the dysfunction within the Democratic Party, and the general state of modern American discourse. The tone is irreverent, biting, and pointed, but the through-line is clear: Leadership and results matter more than political tribalism.
If you missed the episode, this summary encapsulates both the details and the energy: it’s a blend of historical context, current events, political critique, and cultural commentary—a showcase of Rubin’s signature style.
