I'm just going to be buying dinner for good people for the rest of the year. That's the Rubin Report policy. Hello, I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin Report. It's June 12, 2025. We are live streaming on Rumble, YouTube and locals. Share. Subscribe. Tap that notification bell. And as I said, we are on the quest for the 3 million YouTube subscribers. We want to crack that 750 on on rumble. And in the last two days over 10,000 of you have subscribed. You have clicked the button. All you had to do is that. And I'm very appreciative of it. So the not subscribed portion of you watching it went from I think it was at 7, 77% yesterday is now at around 65%. So that is very exciting. We are doing the Lord's work. That's what people say. Also want to give a shout out to my neighbor Jeff's wife. I was walking Clyde this morning and then suddenly a car drove by me and I heard my own voice. And Jeff's wife. I can't remember your name. God bless you. You've been here to parties. I'm blanking on your name. You're a lovely woman and you have great tastes in podcasts. She was listening to the Ruben Report while she was driving down the street. Much appreciated. The theme today is that Democrats are lunatics, terrorists, morons, psychopaths, jihadists, and other and other assorted adjectives. You can pick your own. And basically, then there's the rest of us, and we just have to decide if we're going to defend this country or not. And I think we are going to. We're going to reference my interview, which we put up last night with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. And if you want to see just the stark difference. What's the line I always tell you about DeSantis that he says that I love, which is decline is a choice. It does not have to be this way. California has made their choice over and over and over again, right? They took a guy who was the mayor of San Francisco and destroyed that city. They elected him governor. They reelected him. They had him survive a recall. They're getting everything they asked for. They brought in Karen Bass. They had chances to bring in competent people. They didn't. And they are reaping what they have sowed. Florida is doing completely the reverse. And I would say that dichotomy or that contrast is exactly what America has to choose right now. There are plenty of people here who are really, really bad. And it's not just the illegals. There are an awful lot of people who want to destroy the most beautiful experiment in human history. And that's what America is. And there are way more of us. But we've got to start organizing. We've got to start being serious. I think all of us have to level up, which is why yesterday at the end of the show, I even said, Trump right now has to level up as good as he has been. This can't be just, okay, we're gonna go in for a couple days and then retreat or we're gonna just tweet about things and everything else. This needs to be a sustained effort to end this now, or we are gonna have a summer of love, a repeat of the summer of Love that is going to make that love look pale in comparison to what will be on the horizon. So let's just dive right in because Trump has done a bang up job so far, and it's partly because he did the Thing that I was originally worried about a couple which is surround himself. Could he surround himself with good people? Well, Caroline Levitt, White House spokesperson, has been spectacular and here she is, she's just getting dumb ass question after dumb ass question from quote unquote journalists sitting there in the White House press office. And here she is basically just listing out a couple examples of the people who we've kicked out of the country and arrested. And no, they're not just lovely grandmothers and abuelas who are doing nice things.
Caroline Levitt
Go just take a look at some of the illegal monsters who were taken off the streets in Los Angeles in recent days. A Vietnamese national, a known gang member with a conviction for second degree murder. A Mexican national with convictions for child molestation who was armed with a dangerous weapon and had previous arrests for robbery and domestic violence. A Filipino national with convictions of rape, assault, burglary and theft. A Mexican national convicted of statutory rape, narcotics violations and hit and run. A Nicaraguan national with convictions for domestic violence in hit and run in a previous assault arrest for willful cruelty to a child. And an illegal alien from Mexico who was arrested after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement officers during the Paramount riots on Saturday. He is now being charged with attempted murder. Law abiding American citizens do not want these public safety threats living in their communities, no matter what Democrats like Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom may claim. And let this be an unequivocal message to left wing radicals in other parts of the country who are thinking about copycatting the violence in an effort to stop this administration's mass deportation efforts. You will not succeed.
Dave Rubin
Child molesters, murderers, other assorted illegals doing bad things. Do you want them in your community? Probably not. Do the Democrats who are pushing this want this in their community? Probably not. But they often, like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass have armed security, like all the Hollywood celebrities that live up in the Hill that have armed security and huge fences and walls. Because I'm starting to think that felt fences and walls actually do work. But they don't mind that you're surrounded. You, the peons are surrounded by this chaos. Remember several clips we showed you yesterday of CNN and MSNBC 13 analysts saying, oh no, no, it's just happening in downtown. That was what Rachel Maddow and Lawrence o' Donnell. It's just downtown la. Those are just office buildings because I guess it's okay in places that are sparsely populated. It's just people just work there. They don't live there, even though some people do actually live there. And I'm pretty sure if you own a little mom and pop store down there, you don't want that thing burned down just because a lot of people don't live there, or I guess the wrong type of people do live there or something like that. So we are doing the cleanup job thanks to the ineptitude of what the democrats ushered in. 10 to 20. We simply still do not know the numbers. And that's part of the problem. 10 to 20 million illegals, right, over the course of four plus years on top of now. What I think is, and I'm just gonna say it and say it and say it, I think we have a much bigger homegrown problem now than even the illegal problem. We have no idea how many of those protesters out there because they're all masked up like jihadis are illegals and Chinese nationals and Ms. 13 gang members and all the rest of it. But we have also no idea how many of them have been radicalized right here at home thanks to generations of education that taught them America was evil and that this was a colonialist state and that it was systemically racist and broke their brains in a million other ways. It was algorithmically fed to them through TikTok to think all of the wrong things. And now we have a toxic stew on our hands. And that's why I'm talking about the level up thing that literally all of us have to do. I mean it in our personal lives and our public lives. I mean it for our public officials and everything else. Let's go to a couple other questions being asked of Caroline Levitt. And she's just good. It's just nice to play a video of someone who. Someone who's competent at their job. It's a miracle. Can you clarify what kind of protest President Trump does support or find acceptable?
Caroline Levitt
The President absolutely supports peaceful protests. He supports the First Amendment. He supports the right of Americans to make their voices heard. He does not support violence of any kind. He does not support assaulting law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their job. It's very clear for the President what he supports and what he does not. Unfortunately for Democrats, that line has not been made clear. And they've allowed this unrest and this violence to continue. And the President has had to step in. One question.
Dave Rubin
So if there were peaceful protests on.
Caroline Levitt
Saturday for the military parade, President Trump would allow that? Of course the President supports peaceful protests. What a stupid question, Raquel. But he realizes they can't actually arrest people unless he invokes the insurrection act, which, I mean, seemingly was not something that was in Secretary Noem's memo, a clear distinction she did not make there. Ms. Again, you're trying to conflate a letter that was sent to the Department, Department of Homeland Security, to the President's legal authority. The President understands the legal authority that he invoked, and that's the current situation right now when it comes to federalizing the National Guard. What is the specific criteria that the President is using for when he's deciding to do that and in which state? The President was asked and answered this yesterday. He wants to see an end to the chaos and the violence. He doesn't want to see law enforcement officers being attacked. He wants to see peace. He wants law abiding Californians to be able to bring their kids to school and to be able to go to work without seeing this violence in the streets. That's what the President's hoping for and that's why he's taken this action.
Dave Rubin
You're saying the majority have not been peaceful. The majority have been.
Caroline Levitt
I just read for you the arrest numbers. We've arrested nearly 400 illegal aliens alone. Just illegal aliens who have been arrested in these riots since June 6th, since they began.
Dave Rubin
We've had hundreds of people on the streets.
Caroline Levitt
Yeah, and we've had hundreds of people who have assaulted law enforcement officers. Are you saying that that's not, that's appropriate behavior? Are you saying.
Dave Rubin
I'm not saying that at all. I'm just trying to figure out the.
Caroline Levitt
Democrat, the Democrat governor and the Democrat mayor of Los Angeles have failed their citizens.
Dave Rubin
She really is great. You know, Connor, you know what? I'm going to pull an audible right now. You told me you've got the image. I want to put up an image right now. We've been saying we were going to do this for a while. These are the top 10 Trump peeps. Now, Connor put this together. We did not discuss it beforehand. So these were Conor's choices at the moment. He's got Tom Homan at number one, Caroline Levitt, number two, Eli number three, et cetera, et cetera. We will rejigger the order of this thing as these people continue to do good things. And if they have a misstep, we, we'll move it. But number one, Conor is a big Tom Homan fan. What can I tell you? Look, these people are not journalists that are sitting there. These are the very same people who sat in the White House press office for four years and didn't ask the right questions about who the hell the President was. Didn't ask the right questions about why the border was open, lied to you about bipartisan bills, lied to you about COVID all of the stuff. Suddenly they're very concerned that the president actually cares about the law and the Constitution. Right? They didn't care. And again, they never care about the people who are being murdered. They don't never care about the mayhem or any of the rest of it. It is just so abs. It's so obvious. It's so obvious. Phoenix said to me right before the show today, he's like, you know, Dave, they're basically writing our show. We don't have to try that much. These people are so deep in the muck and the mire, they are so lost in their lies and bullshit that all they have to do is just continue being themselves and we'll keep exposing them. And it will be the continued ascendancy of the alt media and the continued desce of the mainstream media. But unfortunately it still does have a certain energy around it. So, okay, so you've got the bad journalists, you've got the competent people that are in the government right now that are doing the right thing. And also, just remember one thing as it pertains to the violence, the implication is that if somehow Donald Trump didn't send in the National Guard of the troops, that all of these people that you're seeing who are masked, who are throwing rocks over everything, that they wouldn't have been violent. Right? They suddenly decided to destroy Zara and Gold Gym and everything else because they saw police there. Otherwise they weren't going to loot the stores and steal the T TVs and burn things down. It's complete and utter nonsense. If a cops. Oh my God, there's a cop over there. I guess this is the great time for me to burst into that store and steal the vcr. It's just brain damaged drivel which is a perfect segue for late night quote unquote comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who's probably worth around $50 million and lives in the Los Angeles area, although his area is not quite affected by these things. So he doesn't want you to see what you can see.
Jimmy Kimmel
Los Angeles have been gathering to demonstrate, with very few exceptions, peacefully demonstrate to voice their opposition to this disgusting and unnecessary abuse of power instigated by our mentally ill president who is dead set on exacerbating this. He actually wants conflict, who is intentionally inflaming and lying to make it seem like there's a war going on here. He wants there to be a war going on here and he doesn't care who gets hurt in it. There's a riot outside. We have more so called unrest here when one of our teams wins a championship. But that's not what you're seeing on TV. Someone sets a fire in a garbage can, 12 camera crews go running toward it. Trump wants it to seem like anarchy. So he goes around our governor and he calls in 4,000 troops from the National Guard and 700 active duty Marines. You know, when we had the wildfires that devastated big chunks of our city, he did absolutely nothing. Now that we're in the middle of a non emergency, send in the National Guard.
Dave Rubin
You guys know my feelings. It's not good to have hatred in your heart. But I don't know what else I can feel for this guy at this point. Interestingly, Jimmy Kimmel. No, it's not that they're lighting a fire in a garbage can and then 12 reporters. It's that they're throwing rocks over overpasses. It's that they're looting and all the other stuff. And we've shown you all the images. You guys get that. But I guess it isn't happening in your area. You did just buy a $9 million plot of land in Hermosa beach and you're building a house that I'm sure you're putting about 10 million into. So it's probably about a 30 to 40 million dollars house by the time we're all done. And I suspect if it gets to Hermosa beach and they start burning down the very expensive hill that you live on, you'll suddenly be like, I guess Donald Trump's not. Where's Donald Trump? I need help. Because guess what, motherfucker Gavin Newsom ain't gonna help you. Here's CNN's Ashley Allison also. I've never heard of this woman before, but they just have a rotate, you know, they just have. It's such a rotating cast of losers. It's not just Scott and the retards. That's one version of it. He's not in this. It's also just the CNN rotating cast of irrelevant losers saying nonsense. Guess that's a little wordy for a title. But here's someone named Ashley Allison, and she also is telling you she was just in la, she didn't see shit.
Ashley Allison
But I know, I know our time. I know you live in a. I literally left Los Angeles Sunday night. What is happening in Los Angeles and the way it is being depicted is not accurate. We're talking about a square mile out of a 500 square mile city, most people are not experiencing it the way we are showing it on television. And I think we have to be very careful because there are not riots in the street. There are some bad actors and they need to be held accountable. But we have to be careful with the language you use because if we say riots, we, we cause unnecessary fear. And the real fear is when military people start flooding our streets unnecessarily.
Dave Rubin
Ashley. Allison, you are a retard. We've already announced that it's a little early to do it because today's Thursday and we announce our douchebag of the week on Fridays. It's already Gavin Newsom, obviously. But if there, if we do a runner up or a maybe there could be a secondary, smaller reward. It's you, lady. What are you talking about? And even if, even if you are right, it's just a one mile area where they're doing this. Well, you know what if a giant roadway, the 405 or the 101 or whatever, goes through that and you're just driving. I'm going to Disneyland with my kids. And then someone throws a boulder into the window of your car, that's going to ruin your day. Okay, so you people are all mentally ill. And I suspect once again, when it comes to your doorstep, you guys are going to be the first ones begging for help. Here's Chuck Schumer, a man who's starting to look more and more like a turtle, and he's completely unable to ask a very, very simple question as to whether these protests are peaceful or not. Senator, what do Democrats mean when they say that the LA protests are peaceful? Senator, Senator, what do Democrats mean when they say the LA protests are peaceful? Thank you. Do you consider burning private property peaceful? I mean, what, what, Like, I get it. Schumer's awful. They're all terrible. Fine. The thing with this, okay, I guess he's got a little osteoporosis or something. The low glasses. And why not just turn to the reporter and say, you know what? Some people are being violent and we'd prefer they don't. We respect their right to protest. You could literally say the exact same that Caroline Levitt just said. We respect their right to protest. Peaceful protest is fine. We want to defend people's right to free speech, blah, blah, blah. But you know, again, the, the burning of the city, not so great. But she can't even do that. Let's go back to late night, quote unquote, comedy. Stephen Colbert. Remember, this is the dancing Buffoon who put on the most ridiculous. If you took the all of the craziest shit that happened during COVID Colbert dancing around in that 10 minute number to get you injected with some shit that he had no idea what it was, but he's still got a job that pays him an awful lot of Money. He had MSNBC 13's Nicole Wallace on and this woman, look at her, she is snorting Ozempic and going after Trump.
Nicole Wallace
This is actually really important at a policy lever place. The people that tapped Robert Mueller to investigate Trump's ties to Russia were normal Republicans. There are none of them there. And if you talk to former senior military officials, what's different about Stephen Miller running the ICE raids and running basically a siege of Los Angeles is that there is no Mark Milley, there is no Mark Esper, there is no Jim Mattis. And that's the big difference and that's the danger.
Dave Rubin
There's nobody to push back. When the President says why can't you just shoot him? Like shoot him in the legs or something like that. Correct. As Esper has.
Nicole Wallace
And Millie and others.
Dave Rubin
Exactly. More than 700 Marines and 2,000 National Guard troops have been sent there to deal with it. We've seen Trump stretch his presidential powers over the last five months. Is this different?
Nicole Wallace
It feels different. It feels different to. Can we swear here?
Dave Rubin
Sure.
Nicole Wallace
Around with the military, it feels really different. And he wanted to the first time, but people like Mark Milley and Mark, people stopped him. And it feels really different to use the military as pawns out loud and as a public tactic. That feels all right.
Dave Rubin
Colbert, you know, you shoot that show in the what was once the great Ed Sullivan building that David Letterman had for about three decades. You've ruined the name of the Late Show. Letterman created it right after leaving. He wanted the Tonight show, he got the Late Show. You've ruined that. So you've ruined your legacy of comedy. We all get it. You're a partisan hack and everything else, but you are in midtown New York City. What are you about about 55th in Broadway and again, when they destroy New York City, 55th and Broadway, that's midtown. That's not where a lot of people live, but a lot of people do work there. And according to Nicole Wallace's colleagues, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence o' Donnell, they might just burn the whole area down, but tough shit, man, because you know, not a lot of you, you work there, but not a lot of people work there. I'm sure you don't live there, though. You probably don't live there and everything. Nicole Wallace. It's just like, you are awful human beings. And as. As for shooting people in the leg, well, first of all, I don't. I don't know that anyone's been shot. Have we seen anyone be shot yet? I don't think I've seen anyone be shot. But you should be allowed to shoot protesters in legs who are threatening people with violence and doing violent acts and attacking police officers. What else? At some point, what do you do if people are ransacking stores and taking over roadways and everything else, how, for how long does it last that you just put a bunch of people in gear and just. They get out there and they're like, guys, please move. Could you just please move? At some point, you do have to get them off the streets. And if that includes shooting people in the legs, then you probably have to do it. So again, these people, they are encouraging the worst behaviors because they're lying about the people that are trying to do good. Here's a little bit more from Nicole Wallace. She's a little triggered. She is triggered. Triggered.
Nicole Wallace
Let me. I have very mixed feelings about showing this to both of you. It is news, but it is news from the Trump administration. It's a post from the Department of Homeland Security that they put on acts advertising a tip line with a poster that reads, quote, help your country and yourself report all foreign invaders. This is your taxpayer dollars, regardless of who you voted for. If you pay taxes, your taxes are paying for. This ad being disseminated on Elon Musk's platform X that says, quote, help your country and yourself report all foreign invaders. Gerald, did Vladimir Putin write that?
Dave Rubin
He might very well have. What do we do? What do we do? Because what do I do with the hatred? What do I do with it? I'm gonna, you know, I go off the grid in August. I'm gonna talk to a. Some sort of holistic specialist to expunge myself. I'll do the, like a heat. You go into a room and it's really hot and you have a Mexican guy yelling at you. It helps you sweat it out. No. So first off, the sleight of hand of what she did there, it's on Elon Musk's X. So do you see? It's Elon Musk. He's a Nazi. X. Free speech. That's bad, right? And you can see they don't. She. They posted it there. And you can see why they want these things censored. Help your country report foreign invaders. That seems Pretty good. I'm pretty sure they're doing that in Hungary. I'm pretty sure they wish they would have done that in the UK I'm pretty sure they wish they would have done that in Ireland and France and elsewhere. Yes. And by the way, once again, Donald Trump ran on this. He told you what he was doing. He gave Gavin Newsom and the other blue state governors plenty of time, months actually, to clean up the operations. He gave the city mayors plenty of time to do something. They didn't help your country. Who, who's part of the country? Who's legally part of the country? Is it the citizens or is it the illegal invaders? I'm for the citizens for some reason. She's for the illegal invaders. Dr. Phil, we're going to jump over to Jake Tapper. God bless Jake Tapper. What a lucky guy. He puts out the book, he gets crushed by everybody for being a fraud and a liar. Again, I've said I'd like to talk to him in some bizarre sense. And as I said, when I was in Israel, I was just feeling like the spirit of peace and okay, fine, but he's got his show back. He doesn't have to talk about the book anymore. He brought on Dr. Phil yesterday and Dr. Phil, I know him fairly well. The guy is very apolitical. He did not get into any of this to do politics. He got into all of this to help. It was a sort of Jordan Peterson esque thing. Right? To help people straighten out their own lives and deal with their own crap so that they could flourish to the best of kids extent that they possibly could. He's become political and now he's doing speeches with Trump because sanity is now on the Republican side. Here he is just basically laying out just obvious nonsense. Obvious sense, I should say. Sorry, obvious sense on cnn. I was trying to say cnn, that makes me think nonsense. Here we go. And then this is obviously an ongoing story. I'm not sure if you've had a chance to talk to Mayor Bass or Governor Newsom to get their sense of the overall safety implications as these protests continue.
Dr. Phil
Well, one thing I am bothered about is, listen, I've known Karen Bash for a long time and I think she is a very nice person. I know her well and I think her heart's in the right place. These are two elected officials that took an oath to support the Constitution and to enforce the laws, but yet they don't seem initially at least to be doing that. I think both of them seem to be coming around now, but they weren't doing that initially. And if they're not going to put their heart into this, how do you do it? Listen, Jake, nobody questions the humanity of most of the people that have come across the border. Most of the people, at least in my experience and what I've seen are not criminals. They're not dangerous, vicious, violent criminals.
Pete Hegseth
They're not.
Dr. Phil
They are moms and dads. The Hispanic population historically is very family oriented. They're very church oriented. They're very family oriented. Nobody questions the humanity of most of the people that have come across the border. That doesn't make them immune from the law. The law is not optional. It's not a suggestion. You either enforce it or you don't.
Dave Rubin
And that's the Trump line from literally 10 years ago. Now 2015. You either have a country or you don't. It doesn't matter if these are nice people. It doesn't matter if a huge percentage of them are lovely church going folk. That's fine. But you either have a way that they can get in legally or you just don't have a country at all. Then we just are Mexico. So do you want to be Mexico? And by the way, it's not just about Mexicans, obviously, because there are tons of Chinese nationals that are coming through and Venezuelans and El Salvadorians, et cetera, et cetera. So I also would say that Dr. Phil is doing something because he's a good man that we all need to stop doing. Because you hear people doing this all the time. Even Trump does it when it comes to I like Newsom or the way Dr. Phil said she has a good heart. Like that may be true. Like, is she the, Is she Satan himself, like Gavin Newsom? Maybe Karen Bass isn't. Maybe she isn't. But A, the road to hell is paved with good intentions and B, it's a moot point. It's a moot point if you've been to a dinner with someone and they're. I've, I've been around this too, guys. You see people that are pretty awful and then you meet them and you're like, oh, well, they aren't. I met their wife. And they're actually, the wife's kind of okay. So I guess. And it's like, no, it does not matter if Karen Bass is a perfectly fine person in the privacy of her own home. Actually, in some sense it makes it worse. Oh, she's a perfectly fine person in the privacy of her own home. She doesn't mind when other people's homes are getting burned. Down. Let's jump to Seattle, where here's police. Police Chief Barnes, and he's announcing that he will not cooperate with ice.
Richard Karn
It is my job to support the rights of our community. Let me be clear. The Seattle Police Department does not engage in and immigration enforcement activities. We do not inquire into or collect information about an individual's immigration or citizenship status unless it is directly connected to a state or local criminal investigation. Our officers are here to serve everyone, regardless of their immigration status.
Dave Rubin
Ladies and gentlemen, get out of Seattle if you live there. It is one of the cities that is going to collapse. Portland will collapse. New York City, especially if they elect. And I think it's going to happen this Hamas guy, in a week from now, or he'll win the primary, and then we'll see what happens. Like, you must leave these cities. It is his job. It's not his job. Well, he says it's his job to support the rights of protesters. That's not exactly what your job is. You should support the rights of protesters to defend, to be able to speak freely. But we checked. Grok, what is the. What is the job of a police chief? Police chiefs lead and manage law enforcement operations, set policies, ensure public safety, and oversee department resources and community relations. Do you think that guy's doing any of that as they are burning down Seattle? And Connor, as a former Seattleite. Is that what they call you people? Would you like to click play on a video of them burning down Seattle? Okay. Does it seem like he's protecting the rights of the citizens right now as he lets that mayhem go on? So they're exploding things. They have four shooting fireworks. They're burning things in the middle of the street yelling Allahu Akbar. How do you think it's going for the regular Seattle guy? You know, I rescued you from that place and I pay you. It really doesn't make sense. You should be paying me. This video is absolutely incredible. So this one. This might be the video of the entire thing so far. So this is absolutely incredible. This is New York City. I think this is the Upper West. I'm not sure. It looks like a very familiar corner to me. But if you want the perfect example of how out of control these lefty Marxist lunatics are, here is a they. They are taking over the streets, which now is illegal. And we'll have more on how we deal with that in Florida in just a moment. They're taking over the streets illegally, right? So they're stopping ambulances, people that are trying to go to work. Whatever it is you're doing. It's your right to do it. It's two white lefties stopping. And here's just a young black woman just trying to go to work. And just watch how these people operate. But you can.
Nicole Wallace
If you could just move off the wind.
Dave Rubin
How is it the people protest? If there's enough, there's nothing.
Zoran Mamdani
How do y' all, as white people.
Dave Rubin
Feel about stopping a black woman from going to work? Oh, no, not work. I care so much. So you don't care about stopping black people from going to work? Look at this line that you guys are causing. I'm not causing no problems. I'm not trying to.
Ashley Allison
We're just trying to be.
Dave Rubin
All right, so first off, I said I would buy the guy dinner who tackled that lunatic in the cold open. I will gladly. If anyone knows her, I will gladly buy her and her family dinner like you deserve it. All that woman wants to do is go to work. And then you have the supposed diverse, tolerant lefties and that guy. The guy looks like a demon. And the woman, like, they become sort of soulless. There's something about it, the dismissing it. You don't care. Look, I don't care about skin color, but you guys are the ones that are supposed to care about diversity and all that. You don't care that you're stopping a black woman as she's talking about her child and her need to go to work. You don't give a fuck because you think that you should rule the world. Imagine what these people would do to us if they had power. And speaking of that, there is a New York City mayoral election, and there is a guy by the name of Zoran Mamdami. He is a Hamas supporter. He is. He is a communist, and he's running for mayor, and he may just win. And here he is with. To the backdrop of everything that's happening right now. Do you think we should have less policing on the street or more? Well, here you won't be surprised by his answer. So are you. Do you think that we have to almost do without policing in certain areas, which are labeled to be high crimes, to have alternative bodies do the policing in a more compassionate, more merciful, more social, you know, assisting and helping more than arresting and putting in jail?
Chuck Schumer
I absolutely think that what we need to do is give support and funding to institutions that are trained to deal with these kinds of issues. As you said, if you're having an argument with someone and there's a risk of it escalating, who is better positioned to de. Escalate it someone who is well known in the community or someone who has been trained specifically in de escalation or a stranger who has a gun. And we see so many situations where encounters with police, the police arrive and all of a sudden the tension rises, even astronomically to what it was prior.
Dave Rubin
I want to be very, very clear with my words right now. If that man wins and becomes mayor of New York City, if you are Jewish, leave the city. He is a Hamas supporter. He is a terror supporter. He does not want policing. There will be pogroms, people will be killed. And by the way, it's not just Jews. It will. It always starts with Jews, but it never ends with Jews. If you are a freedom loving person, he is going to demolish that city. He wants to freeze rents. He wants giant government control over everything. He supports terrorist groups. Like, it is bad. But now, because we just went a little dark there, let's go the other way for a second. I had Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on yesterday, and if you haven't seen it yet, it's about a 20 minute interview. We dive into just all of the, just obvious and stark differences between the free flourishing state of Florida and the communist shithole that California has become and the difference between his leadership style and the leadership style of Gavin Newsom. I want to show you one clip of it right now because I mentioned on the show yesterday that I don't. We showed you a video in Chicago of a guy driving his car through a protest. And all these people, they're jumping in front. It's like, I don't know what the legal ramifications of that. I certainly don't know what they are in Chicago. Like, if you're just driving somewhere, imagine you have your kids in your car and you're just going home and a mob of people who are wearing Hamas scarves and screaming and chanting and have Molotov cocktails, like, are you supposed to stop? What are you supposed to do with them? Well, the guy in the Chicago video, he drove through it and hopefully he won't pay any price for that. Well, here in Florida, we don't take that shit. And yes, here's DeSantis on what you should do if they are illegally taking over the roads and you got to get home. And we also have a policy that if you're driving on one of those streets and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety. And so if you drive off and you hit one of these people, that's their fault for impinging on you. You don't have to sit there and just be a sitting duck and let the mob grab you out of your car and drag you through the streets. You have a right to defend yourself in Florida. If you have 20 minutes, guys, I really highly recommend you watch the whole thing because decline is a choice. And it is so obvious that we are doing the right things here. And that doesn't mean that bad things won't happen. Because they would love to put some blood in the water around Florida because if Florida started looking weird or weak, then it would be like, oh, we can take out everybody but Florida. We have the proper policing. We talked about that, how he works with the feds, how he's working with ICE and everything else. But really think about that in just a functioning society, if we are going to function in any way whatsoever. If you're just trying to go about your day and there's a group of people, he's not saying drive into a peaceful protest that's in a park, but he's saying if they take over the roadways and they're not letting you home, you have no idea what these people are going to do. And you got to go and thank God for that. Now, of course, the mainstream media saw that video and they started going crazy. Check this out from Newsweek. This is from a quote unquote journalist by the name of Sophie Clark. Ron DeSantis says Floridians have right to hit protesters with cars. Now. That's kind of right. He said that if they're illegally taking over the roadways, they write it so that it makes it seem like they're. You're just allowed to plow your car into random protesters, which obviously isn't true. But then the best part of this is Brian Griffin, who's his DeSantis's comms guy, who's a great guy, they emailed him at 6am and they. And they wrote this and he posted this on his Twitter from this again, quote, unquote. Journalist Sophie Clark. I'm hoping Governor DeSantis or someone from his team can elaborate on the comments given yesterday to Dave Rubin saying it's okay for people to hit protesters with cars. My questions are as follows. How would hitting a protester with a car now differ from James Alex Field Jr's guilty verdict for killing Heather Heyer in 2017. 2017. Are the protests happening on closed streets? What de escalation techniques can people employ before taking this measure? What other advice do you have for people who find themselves stuck at the protest. They sent that email at about 6am they ran the story at about 7am which is just. That's like a classic version of what they do. They don't even wait for you to respond. I don't know if the DeSantis people were going to respond, but it's just patently absurd. He didn't, obviously he didn't mean you just drive your car into peaceful protesters again in the park or somewhere where they're allowed to protest. It was on the road. That's exactly what my question was about. That's number one. Number two, that they have the temerity, the gall to ask what other. What other de escalation things should you do? Sure, you've got two kids in the back in car seats and they're crying and they're really upset and they're hungry and they want to go home. And also, you know, they've got some masked lunatic with the Molotov cocktail doing it. What other. What could you. Sir, sir, could you. Would you just please, could we de escalate and we shouldn't have a police officer to go to the earlier clip. A police officer, the gun. We have a community. Well, would you just stop threatening the one year old with the mollusc. Fucking motherfuckers. Tax Network usa. I was like a car careening towards a group of Hamas supporters. But let's calm down right now because we're going to show you a video of Pete Hegseth. Unfortunately, he's being. They're going after him. But here's Pete Hegseth explaining why the National Guard are doing what they're doing and how absolutely incompetent the previous administration was when it came to dealing with this in our 2020 BLM Summer of Love. Specifically, Tim Walls in Minnesota.
Zoran Mamdani
Thank you for the question. You are right. We are both originally from Minnesota, which is why I recall 2020 quite well when Governor Waltz abandoned a police precinct and allowed it to be burned to the ground and also allowed five days of chaos to occur inside the streets of Minneapolis. The police precinct, ma' am, was abandoned and burned to the ground. And because of that, the National Guard was eventually, far too late, mobilized. And President Trump recognizes a situation like that, improperly handled by a governor, like it was by Governor Waltz, if it gets out of control, is a bad situation for the citizens of any location. So in Los Angeles, we believe that ice, which is a federal law enforcement agency, has the right to safely conduct operations in any state and any jurisdiction in the country, especially after 21 million illegals have crossed our border. Under the previous administration, ICE ought to be able to do its job, whether it's Minneapolis or Los Angeles.
Dave Rubin
Again, competency. What did I say about him? The guy it's got, he's got the track record, but also he just knows how to speak. And he was a TV personality and it's clean and clear and everything else. Interestingly, he said 21 million illegals. Now, I haven't heard that officially anywhere else. You know, I always say, I tend. For a while I was saying 10 to 14, then everybody started saying it was somewhere 10 to 20. But 21 million, okay, again, do those numbers, 10% of them, that's 2.1 million people. That could be pretty bad. And then out of those people, you're like, we can extrapolate that. We've done the math before. I've got an abacus back there and it does not look good. There is this woman who is the perfect avatar for everything that the progressives are. She's this purple haired harpy lunatic who looks like a character out of the Dark Crystal. Her name is Rosa Delorio. And here she is just ranting and raving. She doesn't like Pete Hegseth very much. He's a competent person trying to make sure that the country is safe. She's a hysterical. What do they call him? Skeksis. Skeksis. I think in Dark Crystal, she's a Skeksis challenges.
Zoran Mamdani
Our department under the previous administration squandered.
Dave Rubin
A lot of that. Please, I don't. I want it. I want your plan. I've had difficulties with the prior administration and I don't mind calling them out what is your plan for the future and what your plan is, then we may reconsider what you need to do to go forward. Give us the details, Congresswoman, we have.
Zoran Mamdani
The details and we will provide them.
Caroline Levitt
Let's have them.
Dave Rubin
I'm not going to overanalyze this, but like, lady, imagine if you worked with someone like that. Everyone, everyone that works in an office, there's always like this one crazy person. They probably work in hr and they've got the crazy hair and all the jewelry, and it's like nobody behaves like that. Adults don't behave like that. But these are not adults. They're Democrats in Congress and they're generally psychotic lunatics. Here's another one of them, Linda Sanchez. Here she is going after Besant because she's a woman. And you got to shut up when a woman's talking because she got boobs and a vagina and all the woman stuff. In fact, we've already seen that prices are rising on many everyday goods. Congress. Congresswoman, please don't interrupt. We had. The time is mine. The time is mine. Please don't interrupt me. I will ask you questions and I will grant you an opportunity to answer them, but please don't interrupt me during my time. With pleasure. Okay, I know I'm a woman, but please try to limit yourself to answering my questions. No, I'm sorry, but we get talked over all the time and I. And I don't want that to happen at this. Shut up, bitch. I let you talk. See, I waited. I wanted to say it when we were rolling the clip. But enough, enough of these people, like, do you get it at this point? Like, I love the fact that everyone growing there, like Scott Besson, the guy's been. He's not only been so hyper competent and decent and he's doing all the publicity and he's laying out things calmly, but he's just like, you see the guy I think we're interviewing soon, he's just like this mild manner person. Yes, it was because you're a lady. It's pathetic. No one's buying any of that stuff anyway. I want to connect this to some of the other good things that are happening right now because there was the big Trump Elon blowout and I referenced this yesterday. But it is scaling back because we need all the good guys on board right now. Right now we are fighting a big monster that is amorphous and seemingly has a lot of energy, at least in certain parts of the country. Elon Musk tweeted this. I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far. And subsequently he did delete some of those tweets. And here's Donald Trump. Donald Trump, not a guy known for, you know, taking the foot off the pedal when things are escalating. Well, he's de escalating as well. But, you know, it is what it is that happens. Things like that happen. I don't blame him for anything that I was a little disappointed. Could you reconcile? Could you reconcile with him, do you think? Could you forgive him? I guess I could.
Richard Karn
But you know, we have to straighten out the country.
Dave Rubin
That's good Trump right there. Hopefully they will reconcile. Hopefully they'll be working together again and again. We just need more and more good people together right now because in case it hasn't been illustrated on today's program, we are fighting a bunch of crazy lunatics. We got a couple questions for you from rubinreport.locals.com in just a moment. But first, Bear Bar. Think your protein bar is healthy? Think again. One comparison found a fast food burger was actually healthier than some so called healthy protein bars. That's why I'm all about Bear Bar. Just read the label. Beef, protein, tallow, honey and salt. That's it. No fillers, no additives, no garbage. Just clean ingredients that fuel your body and actually taste incredible. Each bear Bar delivers 20 grams of clean grass fed beef protein. And no, it doesn't taste like beef. The texture is light and fluffy, not dense and heavy like most bars. It's naturally sweet and easy on your stomach. Bear Bar got it right. A high quality protein bar without the junk. Try it for yourself. I've got you a 15% off coupon and free shipping. Just use code reuben@getbearbars.get b a r e bars.com all right, we got some rubenreport.locals.com community Q&A questions. I have to do this real quick because I'm shooting actual Friends podcast right after this. And then I'm on Fox this afternoon, a bunch of other stuff. So here we go. Glenn says, my feeling is that the people who are paying these idiots to riot are secretly hoping for another Kent State situation so they can blame it on President Trump. What are your thoughts? We pulled up some information about Kent State just so I could get it all completely clearly. So of course every, everyone remembers a lot of these images and yes, you can see exactly sort of what is going on here. They want the escalation, right? The way the media is framing this again is that Everything was just fine. All of these masked people who were looting the stores and everything else, they weren't, they were just going to peacefully protest. They weren't going to take over the streets. They're just nice, kind, decent people. And it's only because those mean troops and National Guardsmen showed up and everything else that they all went completely apoplectic. So, yes, they want more and that's why I'm saying Trump has to do this very carefully because they want more escalation. They use the good actions of the government to restore law and order as an, as an, in an inflament, I guess you could say, right, as fuel on the flame to do more bad things, then Trump has to bring in more people. So it's like that's why you gotta kind of put out the fire immediately. But yes, they do want an escalation. Olaf says jam or jelly on a peanut butter sandwich. And what flavor? My personal favorite is apricot pineapple jam. Homemade, of course. That sounds actually, actually completely delicious. You know, I'm really, I'm on the, I'm doing the carnivore thing so tight right now. I'm at my lowest weight in probably four years, something like that. So I'm feeling good. However, there is a decent amount of peanut butter eaten around here. The kids love, love, love peanut butter. We go to the store and we put the peanuts in and we press the button and do it so you get it as fresh and natural as possible. If I do have the occasional peanut butter and jelly sandwich, traditional, old school, just grape jelly, like, just give me some Concord grape jelly. I know it's not good for you. I know it's loaded with sugar, but you gotta live. And if you're gonna live, you may as well live with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Lynn says, what do you think about ABC firing Terry Moran? It seems they just wanted to avoid another lawsuit. Granted, we have the First Amendment. One thing, if I posted something like that, but I'm not a journalist representing a national network that is just supposed to report the news. Do you think this will send a message to the rest of the Trump hating media before they think or write or say anything? So we didn't even cover this. But Terry Moran, who's been one of the chief ABC news people, I mean, this guy has done presidential debates, interviewed Trump many times. He' particularly good journalist. He was fired. Let me read the tweet that he put up and you tell me, does this, should this guy, does he strike you as a nonpartisan Journalist or not, he wrote. The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism. Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulse of the Trumpist movement and translate them, translates them into policy. But that's not what's interesting about Miller. It's not brains, it's bile. Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. He is a world class hater. You can see this just by looking at him, because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate. Trump is a world class hater, but his hatred only is a means to an end. And that end is his own glorification. That's his spiritual nourishment. Do you think that guy should be a journalist at abc? Even ABC said no. So I don't know that they feared necessarily that Trump was going to sue them over that. Probably not, because, you know, he's been in the lawsuit with, what is it, NBC over the. Or maybe it was abc, I'm not even sure. But that was over selectively edited video. That's a little bit easier in terms of a legal operation. Terry Moran can say whatever he wants, but if you're going to have even the patina of respectability or neutrality or bipartisanship. That was like a completely psychotic thing to say. Again, I say all sorts of crazy things on the show, but I'm not a journalist. I'm telling you what I think and I don't pretend to think anything else. So, yes, he's fired, he's gone, and we should never hear of him again. So say us all, Margaret says, how do you handle pool safety with your kids as the weather heats up? Are they interested in swimming? Yeah, actually, it's a great question. We're right in the thick of this right now because obviously it's Florida, we have a pool, there's water everywhere. The kids are now two and a half. So they are in the midst right now of, of a two week intense training five days a week. They've got their swim coach, we're out there with them. And you know, we had them on the swimmies for a while, but that, that's good at the beginning because you can at least get in the pool with them. But then it gives them obviously that false sense of security. So we've been working with them. The trainer is absolutely great. He's been doing this for 30 years and he's wonderful. And they're already, they're going underwater a little bit real quick, like we're working on that. And, you know, we also do have a giant glass thing around the pool, which, of course, if you have kids and you have a pool, you really should do that. We've all seen those horrible stories, so thank you for asking the questions. And, yeah, I hope they'll be swimming underwater pretty soon. All right, let's talk about book profits and then a couple more questions. Could you use some extra cash? Of course. Who couldn't? You might be sitting on a gold mine right now and you didn't even know it. What is it? Used books. I'm not talking about writing or reading them. I'm talking about selling used books online for profit. It's simple. It works. And people are making serious income with it. You don't need a ton of it, time, money, or tech skills. You don't even need to own or handle the books. Everything is done online, on your schedule from anywhere. There's a free training starting today that shows you exactly how it works. Just go to bookprofits.comreuben to watch. That's bookprofits.com rubin all right, couple more questions. Let me see if I can get this out in time. Hey, Dave, this is Darcyte. I think that Trump would not have won if Musk did not buy Twitter and allow for much freer space for public discussion. I think it opened the eyes of a lot of podcasters and influencers. What do you think? I know Trump credits TikTok. Oh, absolutely. I mean, I don't know that anyone's talked about that more than me. Right. Like the X purchasing of Twitter, releasing the Twitter files showing what was under the hood. And I literally went there myself. You guys know, I sat there with engineers and then later with Elon and I. The entire thing was built to censor and shadow band the previous administration. Jen Psaki admitted they pressure social media companies and they flagged posts. That was her words that we flagged posts for social media companies to deal with. Jim Jordan released a document showing that I was one of the people that the government worked with previous Twitter administration to silence and delete my tweets and then temporarily suspend me. So had he not, I mean, think about what's going on right now, right now. If you were only watching CNN and MSNBC and mainstream media, what would you think is happening in la? You would. You would think that basically nothing's happening in la, it's just fine. You watch Colbert, right? Like, that's what you would think. But thank God we have this thing. To whatever extent the Internet is still free and we don't know, you know, we only got the Twitter files. We have no idea what's going on the YouTube side of things and how they manipulate the algorithm or what the high hell is going on with Tick tock and how, how they are radicalizing a generation or maybe two generations of kids or anything else. But at least we have a couple. And I would put Rumble really at the top of that too. We have a couple places that are respectful of free speech and allowing our ability to translate reality without distorting it. Without that funhouse mirror that mainstream media has become. Heidi seven says. Hey Dave, when did sanctuary cities start? I'm wondering if they didn't start during Obama. I believe he is the architect of all of this unrest. What say you? So I do we did a little research on this question because I thought it was a great question. I don't know. I didn't know to how actually when they start. Exactly. But yes, I do think that Obama has been an architect in some sense. But listen to this. According to Grok, the first formal sanctuary city policy emerged in San Francisco. Surprise, surprise. And the city passed a resolution declaring itself a city of refuge. This was followed by the 1989 Sanctuary Ordinance which prohibited city employees from using municipal funds or resources to assist federal immigration enforcement unless required by law. Other cities like Los Angeles adopted similar policies around the same time, with Los Angeles issuing Special Order 40 in 1979, which limited police cooperation with federal immigration authorities. Though it wasn't explicitly called a sanctuary policy until later. By the 1990s and 2000s, the term sanctuary city became more widely used with cities like New York City, 1989 executive order Chicago 85 and Seattle adopting policies to limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. These policies varied, but generally aimed to protect undocumented immigrants by restricting local law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status or sharing information with federal authorities like ice. So I did not know it has been going on as long as 1985 in a place like San Francisco. I'm not particularly surprised. But that really shows you how long we have been up against this thing. How many people in almost 40 years, basically. 40 years, huh? How many people in 40 years have come to these places, been protected using public services, have done criminal things, but then not been deported? Because that's exactly what the laws were saying. If you're arrested for something else or you get in trouble, we will not work with the feds, we will not work with ICE to deport you. And we have had an unbelievably toxic stew brewing for decades. And here we are. As for your question of Obama, yeah, he then put it on steroids and the rest of it. But we, we have a lot of work to do and again, I would Recommend Watch the 20 minute interview with DeSantis. It does not have to be this way. Decline is a choice I think. Two more Tony says we're coming up quick on off the Grid August. Are we going to have a meet up in Florida this year and we can get it and can we get a date as soon as possible? Yes, we will have a locals meet up. We decided yesterday it will be the last week of August. It will likely be. Sorry, last week of July. Caught myself there. I'm almost off the grid mentally. It'll be the last week of July and we will likely do it at a place that will be selling my tequila will be out for pre sale next week. Officially out on June 26th. If you're in locals, you're going to get the first access to it. You're also going to get 25% off the first batch. That's the only discount we're giving. And I'm so psyched that we are finally ready to get this to you. It took longer than anticipated, but very, very excited. You know, we should, we should wrap now. I know there's a couple other questions. I'll try to get to them in the locals community myself. What's that? Oh, and it's Elizabeth's birthday and locals. Happy birthday Elizabeth. Appreciate you and all your support over the years and I hope to see you at the next next Locals meetup. All right, thanks for watching everybody. We'll see you next time. All of this is why the aliens.

Podcast Summary: The Rubin Report – "Press Gasps When Told Trump’s Brutal Plan for Sanctuary Cities" Release Date: June 12, 2025
In the June 12, 2025 episode of The Rubin Report, host Dave Rubin delves into the controversial topic of sanctuary cities and former President Donald Trump's proposed plans to address them. The episode, titled "Press Gasps When Told Trump’s Brutal Plan for Sanctuary Cities," features a heated discussion on immigration policies, media portrayal of protests, and the broader implications for American society.
Dave Rubin opens the episode by categorizing Democrats as "lunatics, terrorists, morons, psychopaths, jihadists," emphasizing a stark division between Democratic policies and those of conservatives. He references his recent interview with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to highlight the contrasting approaches between Florida and California.
Impact of Policies: Rubin asserts that California’s repeated choices to protect sanctuary policies have led to its current state of decline, whereas Florida's opposite approach is fostering growth and stability.
Quote:
"Decline is a choice. It does not have to be this way." ([03:02])
Rubin criticizes Democratic leaders like Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom for their handling of immigration and public safety, suggesting their policies contribute to chaos and violence in cities like Los Angeles.
Immigration Enforcement: Highlighting remarks from White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt, Rubin underscores the administration's efforts to deport dangerous individuals, countering Democratic narratives that often downplay such threats.
Quote:
"Law abiding American citizens do not want these public safety threats living in their communities." ([04:56])
The host vehemently attacks mainstream media outlets, accusing them of downplaying the severity of protests and riots in major cities. Rubin argues that networks like CNN and MSNBC misrepresent the reality on the ground, portraying violent acts as isolated incidents rather than widespread issues.
Misleading Narratives: Rubin points out instances where media analysts claim that unrest is confined to specific areas, dismissing the broader impact on everyday citizens.
Quote:
"They have like a 30 to 40 million dollars house by the time we're all done." ([12:50])
Advocating for robust law enforcement responses, Rubin discusses the deployment of National Guard and active-duty Marines to maintain order. He defends these measures as necessary to prevent further decline and violence.
Right to Self-Defense: Rubin references Governor DeSantis’s stance, supporting the right of citizens to defend themselves against violent protesters, including the controversial suggestion of using vehicles to disperse mobs.
Quote:
"You have a right to defend yourself in Florida." ([27:50])
Throughout the episode, Rubin plays clips from various public figures and commentators who align with his viewpoints or critique Democratic policies.
Jimmy Kimmel's Critique: Kimmel is featured criticizing President Trump for allegedly inflaming conflicts to create a perception of anarchy, which Rubin counters by highlighting the actual violent acts occurring.
"Trump wants it to seem like anarchy." ([12:50])
Nicole Wallace's Insights: Wallace discusses the use of military force in protests, emphasizing the difference from previous administrations and highlighting concerns about executive overreach.
"It feels really different to use the military as pawns out loud and as a public tactic." ([18:12])
Rubin engages with his audience through questions submitted via ruberreport.locals.com, addressing topics ranging from media firing decisions to personal anecdotes.
Kent State Comparison: A listener named Glenn draws parallels between current protests and the Kent State shootings, prompting Rubin to discuss media portrayals and the intentional escalation of conflicts.
Healthy Choices: Another listener, Tony, inquires about pool safety for children, leading Rubin to share personal strategies to ensure his kids' safety while enjoying the Florida weather.
Quote:
"We have a pool, there's water everywhere. The kids are now two and a half." ([43:00])
As the episode wraps up, Rubin emphasizes the need for unity among "good people" to combat what he perceives as increasing chaos fueled by Democratic policies and media bias. He promotes upcoming interviews and community meetups, encouraging listeners to stay engaged and proactive in their local communities.
Call to Action: Rubin urges his audience to support measures that enforce immigration laws and maintain public safety, positioning these actions as essential for America's continued prosperity.
Quote:
