Previously on the Reuben is a new tea party, but it's on steroids. Can you imagine going to lunch with this guy? Half an hour of pomegranates, half this, half lemonade, half iced tea. You're not gonna put anything right. We need it, you know, supporting women and children affected by gender based violence. That's a serious country. These are serious. All right, what's going on, everybody? I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin report. It is July 15, 2026. Wow. Guys, we got 15 days left on the grid and then we disappear for August. We had a meeting this morning with the team and they all said, dave, can we just phone it in until August? Do we really have to really work hard and put out good content and do all that? Can we just start cash out right now? And I said, no, now is the time to bring it more than ever. And that's what we intend on doing. Don't forget, first look every morning, guys, about 10 minutes of simple news. If you just have 10 minutes while you're drinking your coffee or you're walking your dog, it's in Your podcast feed, YouTube feed, rumble feed, et cetera, et cetera. And let's just dive in. The show's a little all over the place today. It's just a whole bunch of stuff, but I think you're gonna enjoy it. We got a lot of spots where we can do some silly things. But I wanna start with Chamath Pa. We show clips of him all the time. He's one of the hosts of the all in podcast. He's a big tech guy, and he went on cnbc. Should I do the. You know what? I'm gonna do this first. So, as you know, it was my 50th birthday a couple weeks ago, and David Sacks, who is now our crypto and AI czar, but also one of the all in hosts, he sent me. He knows I'm a tequila guy. He sent me their tequila. The besties. All In Tequila. Look at this freaking thing. It's an extra anejo aged for five years. So copal. Obviously, my Tequila. Tequila is a reposado aged three months. These are very, very different things. But look at this. The box literally lights up. I mean, it really is one of the most beautiful packages I've ever seen. And this bottle is just. I mean, tell me this isn't the most incredible. I'm not selling tequila for them or anything else. It's quite exquisite too. The flavor is really something else, you know, age for five years. It's a totally different thing than Copal. But look at this box. But anyway, it's $1,500 a pop, so thank you to David Sachs and appreciate work you guys are doing over there. But okay, let's dive in. So Chamath was on cnbc and they basically got into it about a whole bunch of things about Trump, about the economy, which, by the way, right now, guys, there are a lot of good signs about the media and everything else. So here they are, first getting into it about the media, how they've lied about Trump and how it has. Well, for lack of a better word, how it has deranged so many people. The reality is that most of us were lied to by the media about President Trump. And if you just go back to the source material, you should take away two things. One, he didn't say half the things he said. And two, why did these other people just fabricate what they wanted to say so that they could essentially assassinate his character? I admitted where, you know, the way that I met him was, I admitted on the pod, which, you know, has millions of viewers, and I said, I got it totally wrong. Because I went and I watched Charlottesville and you know, the first person to call me, who is who President Trump, and I got to know him and I put the phone down, I called my wife and I said, we got it totally, totally wrong. We were lied to. You said I was 100% right on climate change. You're 100% right on climate change. What about Trump? Oh, my. You're 100% right on Trump. He's fantastic. Great person, unbelievable person, very smart, on top of it, open minded, great president. Great president so far. All right, so there's a couple of things there. First off, you guys know I like when you can see sort of the origin of story of somebody when you see that, oh, something happened, they have a wake up moment. So what Chamath is saying right there is, man, he realized that he was kind of Trump deranged. He was accepting the lies, believing that Trump said things as he said that he didn't say. And then he also questioned. So why did these people fabricate things around Trump that became the massive narrative? And of course, he mentions Charlottesville and very fine people on both sides there. So you know what I'm showing you right now, But Charlottesville happened. It's important to note that it happened in August of 2017, nine years ago. Now, you remember this. The Jews will not replace us. We now know that the Southern Poverty Law center there is an investigation by the feds into this to figure out how much the Southern Poverty Law center was paying for that group to be there. That's a bit of a sidebar because the point is that Donald Trump then after it, the lie is that Donald Trump said there's very fine people on both sides of this. Of course they cut out, as you know, the white supremacist part. And for years that lie ran. And I've said this many times, but I think one of the most, the proudest moments of my career, one of them is that I think I was the first guy to finally debunk it on mainstream media. December of 23. Well, that is where a lot of what were the good people on both sides at Charlottesville? I don't know. Did I hear that or did I make that up that Trump said there are good people on both sides? He didn't say that. He did not. Well, he said it. But a sentence later he said, I'm not talking about the white supremacists and the neo Nazis. Yeah, it's like, you know, it was badly phrased. I think we could. I don't need to make this about Bill. It wasn't badly phrased. Trump said something and they just completely missed the second part of the sentence. But the point is that when they ran with a lie like that, why is it that if you were watching this show for years, we were debunking it immediately and I certainly wasn't the only person to be doing it. But why is it that these lies can just go and go and go throughout the system and still despite the fact that the mainstream media is so untrusted, despite the fact that people are tuning out, despite the fact that young people don't buy cable anymore and often don't even have a television anymore and everything else that so much of this still exists? So they continued on cnbc. And here's Chamath saying how you basically need to be an adult human here and get past some of the crap around Trump. Cuz most of it's complete nonsense. Now. Can I just say something else? You're allowed to disagree with the guy, you're allowed to maybe dislike the guy, but as an adult living human being that's responsible for taking care of your family, you have to get past the tds, see where he's right, see where he's wrong. But the TDS thing, that's stopping people from making a savings account for their children, right. That can give them free money. Let's get by it. It is insane. Yeah. You do have to get by it. And, you know, I did not, as you probably remember, I did not vote for Trump the first time around in 2016. I voted for Gary Johnson, the libertarian, and the day after. And yes, I should be judged accordingly. And he didn't know where Aleppo was and he was smoking too much weed and okay, nobody's perfect. Fine. You can find a video that I did the day after the election when Trump won. And we didn't. We had just moved into our new house, we were building our studio. We didn't even have a studio. And I was stealing Internet from the neighbors so that I could do a little livestream. Day after the election, and I'm sitting in the backyard, you can hear construction in the background because we're building the studio out. And what I said, as someone who did not vote for Trump, was that the issue now was, you've got to see what he does. You can, you can be hysterical, you can be yelling at people and calling everyone a Nazi and a racist. You can do all that stuff, but that is not productive or anything else. Most likely, Trump is gonna do some things that you actually will agree with and some things that you won't agree with. But if you keep calling him a Nazi, if you keep doing this, it's not what you do to him, it's what you do to yourself. Because it's very hard to call someone Hitler and his supporters Nazis. And then a year later, you're like, but, you know, the economy did turn around and there's some other good things happening. And, oh, Hitler's not so bad. And it was. And thus that sort of framing is what became Trump Derangement syndrome. These people went so deep into it that they gave themself no out, they painted themself into a corner. But the fact is, right now, well, first off, thank God Trump won the first time, he probably won the second time. Uh, oh, and he definitely won the third time. And things actually are going well right now. And I think one of the problems that the Republicans seem to be happening is because so many of us are stuck with doom scrolling and everyone else, everything else, everyone thinks things are terrible, but they are not. There's a ton of good economic news coming out. Here's more from Chamath. Not my opinion. No, no, no. I'm just saying you can make a numerical comparison. Imagine if we were sitting here and we'd have to first declare 19 pronouns, and we'd have to talk about, you know, the dei, like, I'm here because I'm like a Sri Lankan immigrant that grew up on welfare. I have to tell you, my whole sob story. Where we were going was not a place that was oriented around productivity. It was around, it was around theater. I'm not disagreeing with that. But that's a different topic. So I'm saying you have some valid points about where GDP could be or could not be. You should thank the lucky stars that that's what we're debating right now. I led a little too much with that clip. So. But in essence, he's saying we're orienting around nonsense, right? Like all of the woke stuff was coming in. Kamala was going to usher it all in. It didn't matter if it was Kamala, if it was Biden or anything else. But now we can get to the key part of all of this, which is that the economy is turning around right now. The fruits of the big beautiful bill are starting to grow. We are seeing them. Check this out from CNBC's Rick Santelli. Above 4.6% on the 10 year now, Rick. Yeah, above 4.6%. Here we go. This is our June release of the consumer Price Index. Expecting a headline number to be negative, negative 1.10of a percent. This is four times more negative, minus 4.10of a percent. That would be the biggest negative drop that we've seen since 4, 20 since basically Covid timing which really affected of course all of the inflation data points. So that goes back home. Basically six year low. And if we look at the CPI month over month on the core, also under expectations, comes in@goose egg00 will be the smallest amount. It would equal Jan of 21. To find a smaller change or a more negative change or minus one. 10 of a percent. That's May of 2020. And if we look at the year over year numbers, year over year headline, 3.5, 310 less than expected, much less than the 4.2 in the rearview mirror. That would be the lightest since March of this year when it was 3.3. Okay. So if you're not a numbers guy and you're not, you know, I'm not a fan of watching a lot of those shows and it's every day they're throwing this number, throwing that number. It went up, it went the bumper sticker version of that. Inflation is dropping 0.4% per month and that's the fastest since COVID So good things are happening. When inflation goes down, you get more liquidity in the economy. Right? People start spending a little bit more. You might start borrowing a Little bit more. Hopefully the banks are willing to loan a little bit more. It just starts making things move. So this is a great sign, particularly as we're heading into the dog days of the summer, which will then lead us to the midterms. There are other good things happening. I thought this was interesting. This is Wisconsin Representative Van Orden on Fox Business talking about how there is a new Fed chair in town, Kevin Walsh, and things are going to be a little bit different than they've been for the last couple of years. What do you make of Chairman of War Fed Chair Wash saying Biden's historic record inflation is never going to happen again. It's going to be thick of the past. He means no more Fed money printing to support US Spending. Plus the markets are predicting no more Fed rate hikes this month. What do you make of Kevin Warsh's statement there? I think he knows what he's talking about. And it's finally good to have a Fed chair that has not politicized and weapon weaponized that office because they didn't like Donald Trump. This should have happened a long time ago. Making sure that everything is stable with these interest rates. As you said, we have the largest CPI drop in since 2020, which is fantastic. Yeah. So this is something, guys. We have a new Fedger. No more printing money. We won't just imagine, we won't just magically make more money appear. You remember when Biden was president or whoever was really president, Auto Penner or whatever. And what did they do? The Inflation Reduction act. And they printed money, thus causing inflation to rise during the Inflation Reduction Act. So no more printing money. No more rates hikes. Right. We are stabilizing the economy right now. This is good stuff. Acknowledge it and know it and perhaps things will continue to get better. Let's talk about CHAPTER for a moment and then we'll do more on the other side. If you or someone you love is on Medicare, this is worth paying attention to. Guys, Medicare can be confusing and a ton of people end up on the wrong plan without even realizing it. That's where CHAPTER comes in. There are independent Medicare advisors who compare every plan available, not just the ones that pay them the most. They look at your doctors, your prescriptions, your healthcare needs and they help you find the plan that is right for you. And if you're already on the best plan, they'll tell you. If not, they'll help you switch. The call is completely free, takes less than 20 minutes. And seniors who work with Chapter save an average of $1,100 a year. My mother in law is working with them, although I'm not supposed to tell anyone. She's a senior, so who knew? Call Chapter today at 332-867-0207 or visit askchapter.org rubin Once again, that's 332-867-0207 or visit AskChapter. Okay, so let's continue. We're going to throw you one more of Chamath because then. So they're talking about the economy, they're talking about, you know, the media lying and people weighing up, waking up and everything else. And then they get into the Iran war. Where are things at? Take a look. On the broad based things that he did, I think that he has been way more right than wrong. Where'd he land on the war? Can you just say one more thing? The war in Iran, the most important thing that got me to see his point of view is he was completely binary on there cannot be nuclear war. Buffett would also say the same thing he and Munger used to say in their letters. There's only one risk for humanity, nuclear war. And so when you have a madman country that is attempting to destabilize the ability for all of us just to live our lives, I think he was pulled into a situation he didn't want to be in because he believes strongly in no nuclear weapons. I support that because I think everybody is forgetting the chaos that that kind of thing can create in the world. Yeah, I like the way he framed that. Also that Trump is right about the broad based things like you're never going to agree with the president on everything all the time. I largely agree with Trump on most certainly the big things. But your judgment in the end should be like, is this person directionally right and is this ultimately good for the country? And also that you'd contra that to what the other side might be doing. And it seems to me that if you have any lukewarm feelings about America, that you would basically be looking at Trump right now going, he's trying, he's trying to do the right thing. And as it pertains to the Iran war, he also had a 40 year track record of saying he was never gonna let them get a bomb. And then as Chamath points out, the only real existential threat to the world is not what Bernie Sanders or AOC will tell you, which is that climate change is gonna end this thing in 20 is nuclear war. So you might want to take the largest state sponsor of terror who ultimately just months ago was firing rockets at 12 or 13 different countries in their neighborhood. And we are the last remaining superpower, whether you like it or not. We are the last force for good and moral order in the world, whether you like it or not. I happen to like it. It doesn't mean we should do everything all the time, but I'd rather it be us. It's going to fall on someone. So it's like, okay, it can be us that leads the world or it could be chinarussia. Like, which do you think is better? And unfortunately, I think there's a lotmany Democrats and a certain version of the woke, Right. People think that actually China and Russia running the world would be better. But the basic point for those of you that have friends who are sort of on the fence right now, still don't know what to do, what am I going to do in the midterms? Can I ever vote for Trump? Is like, what do you think the other side would be doing right now? What do you think would be happening to our economy as they try to socialize? And what do you think would be happening, as we said, to our enemies? No wars, we're scaling back everything. Do you think they'd be like, boy, those guys are great. Or they might go, oh, they're afraid of war and this is a good time to create war. These are basic things. I think Trump just has a basic understanding of fundamental human behavior and reality. Here is Trump being interviewed by Trey Inkst over on Fox about this sort of on again, off again, up, down, hot, cold, dry, wet. What else did we say? Loose, tight, hard, soft war. How the Iranians have been behaving. Do you have any regrets about lifting the naval blockade or giving the sanctions waivers? No, no, I gave them a chance. I wanted to give them a chance at making a deal. You know, we had a deal two days ago, it was done, and then all of a sudden they couldn't do it. They didn't like something about the deal. They couldn't do it. And they shot first. And that was a big mistake that they shot first. Cuz we have been knocking the hell out of them. That was my bad. We'll get to the Trey Yanks interview in just a second. That was just at a press conference. But again, this is Trump just saying, look, I'm trying with these guys. 10 times we've agreed on things. Every time we agree on things, they sign something, they walk out of the meeting, they say they didn't do it. Like there's just a, a complete layer of inconsistency here. And, you know, if you go back to our videos from months ago, like, one of the things that I was worried about, and I'm sure they talk about it at the State Department is, you know, once you've taken out the leadership and Ayatollah's gone, you've taken out the military guys and everything else, can you even trust whoever. Can you trust anyone in the first place? Could you trust anybody had you not killed the Ayatollah and everybody? Would you be able to trust the leaders of an apocalyptic regime that's stated goal is the destruction of the big state in the United States? But now you're working with third, fourth, fourth layer people, fourth tier people. Do they even have the ability to honor anything? Who the hell knows what's going on? But at this point, Trump's each day gets a little closer to basically being like, well, as he said, they're scum. They're scummy, scum. Do you know what scum is? It's scum. That's what he said. And it's like he's each day inching closer to just saying, I can't work with these guys. I'm Donald Trump here to negotiate, and these people just simply don't want to do it. Thus, we end up with this from U.S. central Command for the third straight day. At 3pm today, U.S. central Command forces began launching additional rounds of strikes against Iran to continue degrading Iranian capabilities used to attack the commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes are taking place as American forces prepare to resume the naval blockade against Iranian ports and coastal areas. The blockade goes into effect at 4pm so look again, that's exactly what Trump said, right? We're going to open this thing up. If they mess around, we'll just start the blockade again. It seems like that is happening as I pointed out yesterday, or as I questioned yesterday, I should say, in that we've taken out so much of their military hardware. The question is, how are they able to do anything to control the Strait of Hormuz at any level? You probably don't need much in terms of sending a drone over or a rocket or whatever to keep people. These are human beings on these ships and to just strike the fear of God in them so that you can basically freeze. It's not that you have to shoot and blow up every boat that goes through. You can create a situation where there'll just be enough boats that are like, you know, we can't really do this because it's too risky anyway. Here's Trump now with Trey Inkst. A bit more on the Iranian quest for a nuclear weapon, but the overriding point of how he simply cannot trust these people anymore. Was there a specific piece of intelligence that made you decide to launch this operation? Well, specific in the sense that it's just never stopped and they're going to go forward and they wanted a nuclear weapon. We knew they wanted a nuclear weapon. If they have a nuclear weapon, Israel wouldn't be here. Look, they said they didn't want a nuclear weapon. They say that everything they say is a lie. They lie. I've never seen anything like it. They also come out and they'll tell you, we never discussed nuclear. And we're in a room for five hours, that's all we discussed. And they walk out and say nuclear was not discussed. Everything was discussed. Right. And we know from the negotiations that they were enriching uranium at higher levels than you would need for civilian use. And they had hidden some of these reactors and there was all sorts of stuff. So. But again, his broader point, putting aside the nuke thing, which even the Europeans secretly were like, trump, could you take care of this thing? Because once they realized that Iran had longer ballistic missiles, suddenly they were going, oh, it's not just pesky. Israel and a couple Arab countries who don't care about that might get hit. They could hit Paris. So that's one part of it. But the broader part is, and this is why the Democrats just suck so bad. You know, putting aside Iran for a second, it's like, man, you guys, whether it was immigration or economy or literally any topic, Donald Trump would have negotiated with you on anything from day one, ten plus years ago when he took office, there was no topic that Donald Trump would have said is off limits. Like, that's how I'm going to do it and I'm not going to talk to anybody about it. You know, you would have had the most amenable Republican president and you probably still do even now. But you guys just exist to try to take him out. And in some sense that's what Iran's doing too. Right. Iran is operating sort of in the same way as the Democrats. I mean, at least Iran shows up to meetings and negotiates and then lies about it. The Democrats don't even show up to meetings. But whether you're Iran or the Democrats, man, this is as good as it's gonna get you. Ding dong. Well, well, that's not quite right. If the Democrats take office, as I said, they'll probably build the nuclear bomb for the Iranian regime and send it over there. But in terms of being able to work with someone for an honorable deal that everyone could walk away and feel somewhat good at or at least equally bad about, Trump was the guy here, is Trump saying what he will do now if these guys who he now says he fully does not trust do not come around one more time. Time. You anticipate that the strikes were seen this week against Iran will expand. Are you considering hitting energy targets or other locations inside of Iran? I'll save the energy targets for last. But ultimately we'll hit energy targets. Yeah, but we're going to hit them very hard tonight. We're going to hit them very hard tomorrow night, we're going to hit them very hard the night after. And then next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants, next week comes the bridges. We're going to knock out all their power plants, we're going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate. All right, so that's pretty, pretty specific. Now again, is that Trump saying civilization will die tonight. And then magically they did come to the table and at least we got that 20 day memorandum of understanding and it calmed down for a little bit. So is he throwing out another one of those? And Trump, Trump obviously understands that you can't keep going with the crazy rhetoric and never act. You can't go with crazy rhetoric every day and then just randomly blow up a couple things. So here he's being much more specific. He had the bridges, the power plants, like next week we'll do it. It's so weird how war is fought in the modern times. If you think about it. It's like I'm basically a play by play guy for war and then I could have a color kebab. Did you see that? Tonight we're going to do this. And, and the stats on the drop bomb drops are about in 350 and it's just kind of nuts. But in any event, he is basically saying here it is, next week we're doing it. And I would imagine that somebody might come back and say something to him. I'm just getting this one on the fly they're putting in front of me. So I'm reading it as I'm seeing it for the first time. This from the Kobisi letter breaking. President Trump says Iran called him a while ago and they want to make a deal. The US Stock market extends its rally to a new high of the day. So that's nice to see on the economic side again. Okay, so they want to make a deal again. Trump keeps saying they keep making deals and then they literally walk out of the room and they say they didn't agree to what they just signed on to. So I don't know what that means any more than you do. I suppose we shall see. But I thought a nice way to tie this whole segment together was this, you know, Whitney Cummings, who's comic, I just saw her at the Bill Maher Kennedy center thing. She 10 plus years ago. So when Donald Trump, right before he was running for president, they did a Comedy Central roast of Donald Trump. And Whitney is certainly not a conservative. I don't think she's a Trump supporter in any way. She's just kind of like a Hollywood lefty liberal. But here she goes on a podcast and watch how she talks about how Trump's reaction to the roast and turning it on. The people in that room is so consistent with the man we've now come to know. Watch. So they kept telling us, you know, he's gonna run for president. Like there's this fact sheet and we're like, okay, we're talking about his college. He's had like a steak business. He had, you know, he's had every sort of apprentice. All that. All of it. Yeah. And so we're going all these other ways, the hotels and the ba da da. And we're ignoring the president thing. We're just like, that's a stunt. It's silly. Like, what are you talking about? It's hilarious. Then he gets up there and, you know, I'm like, great, he's gonna call me a whore. He's gonna call everyone, you know, whatever. And he gets up and he goes, you know, this is what's wrong with America. All these Hollywood elites beating up on a self made man. And we're like, but he was dead ass. And he kind of, that was like his first step, trying to be like, in being like likable. And it was genius. And people started blaming us for like, you made him likable. You made him seem like an underdog. Like, the roast was like his first sort of like step. And then afterwards, you know, you customarily go up and say like, thank you for being such a good sport. And I went hard and he was kind of like. And I truly kind of felt bad. And I went up to him and he pulled me in and he just went, that was great television. So there's a couple of things there. Like the great Television part doesn't surprise me. He doesn't take this stuff personally, but that at his own roast he pointed out to all of these idiots, it's so consistent for so many years that he has been the one fighting the machine. Obviously the 40 year consistency on the Iran thing and everything else. And the point that he can be railed against, they can say the nastiest things about him. And then often he brings these people in. Let's not forget what he was calling him, little Marco. And Rubio was going after him like crazy 10 years ago. And now he's the freaking all star of the administration. And there's a million examples of that. Those of you of a certain age, the host there, I don't know her name, but she said dead ass. And what that means, you might be a little confused. Dead ass means like yo. Really? Right. That's pretty good. Yeah. And then we were going through a few others for these, for the audience here that might be older than, I don't know, 12, there's a couple other phrases. No cap. Do you guys know what that is? No cap is like can't do anymore. No cap. I did everything I could do, right? No, it means like it's real, it's not a lie. Oh, sorry. Well, shit. Oh, cap is a lie. And no cap means not a lie. Give me one or two more. What else did we have today? Type shit is like, it's like, that's cool. We used to say cool. You guys say type and one more, one more. On God, on God, on God. Oh, on God. Like I swear to God. And what was the one that Joey was doing with the fingers? Clock it. You know about this one? Clock it. Like if someone says something like, yo, you want to go? What are the kids doing these days? You want to go get a hamburger at the burger joint? Yo cock it. Like, I'm gonna take note of that. I'm getting older by the second. Let's talk about gold to celebrate freedom every Fourth of July. And as America celebrates its 250th birthday, here's a question. What does financial freedom actually look like? For many Americans, it means protecting their savings from inflation, global uncertainty and the declining value of the US dollar. That's why so many people are turning to physical gold. And with monetary gold, you can even hold gold in a tax advantaged retirement account. For more than 26 years, monetary gold has helped Americans invest in physical gold and silver, earning five star ratings from both the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs. All right, let me see if I can do this right. This whole segment we're about to do is totally bananas. That's my phrase from back in the day. No, cap. Like, I'm not messing around with you guys on this. So there was one of these Senate hearings. I cannot believe they still do these things. They bring these people out, and they are such utter circuses. So they did another. We're still doing the trans thing. We're still doing the gender thing. It's still happening. I cannot believe it's still happening. We're showing you a couple of clips here, and each one is more insane than the other. First, we will show you University of California, San Francisco Chancellor Dr. Sam Hawgood talking about the pediatric trans program that they have over there. What? We have transgender programs for both pediatrics and adults. We do not do surgery under the age of 18, and we abide by federal and state law as well as the recommendations of 35 professional associations in North America. Well, then you are ignoring the hhs. You are ignoring the uk you have ignoring Finland, ignoring Sweden, ignoring. We. It's not a program that I am an expert in. Okay, but this is this. Your transgender clinic does continue to give puberty blockers and rock sex hormones to children. Correct? Correct. Yes, we do give wrong sex hormones. The fact that he even said that like that, like. So think about this. So, first off, what is transpediatrics? That sounds completely insane. I don't know what they could possibly even mean by that. But then he goes on to say, we don't do the operation. So we're not just going to chop up genitals over here. What do you think, we're monsters? We just drug them with the wrong sex hormones? Do we? Correct. Like what. What is going on here? Here is Representative Mary Miller asking the Chancellor if I guess. I guess, in essence, if chicks with dicks can give birth or something like that. Dr. Haygood, UCSF's classroom guide titled Framework for Gender and Sexual Concepts in Teaching, advises against using the term pregnant women. Instead, it says to use pregnant people who are pregnant people compared to pregnant women. Just curious. So that is a part of a curriculum to help our students who are facing a wide diversity of patients. Of course, the vast majority of pregnancies are in women. And I have absolutely no problem with using the word pregnant women. I use it myself. Has a non biological woman ever had a baby? A transgender person can. That's not a biological woman. The vast majority of pregnancies are from women. My God. Give this man an award. Get this guy the Nobel Peace Prize. My God, that is just incredible. And then he just can't answer the question. You just can't answer it. No. Only women can give birth. That's not bigoted. You're not being a dick. No pun intended when you say it. It's just true. Women have vaginas. Thank you for watching. That's it. That's it. And it's okay continued with these people. I told you, each clip's gonna get stupider than the next. So here is Representative Summer Lee explaining that Republicans want black patients to die in the highest hospital. Diverse workforce and admissions to medical schools creates a better, better system for this country. Thank you for that answer. And it does beg the question, do Republicans want black patients to die? Do we want women to die? Do we want trans kids to die? Because we know that a cultural competent education, that cultural competency and diversity in our education system, our medical system, cultural competency and diversity saves lives. You just put a bunch of words together and said it. That's all you did there, lady. You did not do anything other than that. Because. No, you know what saves lives? Competent doctors. People who are qualified to do certain procedures, people who are experts in their field. And if those people are colorblind, they'll operate on everyone, which is part of the Hippocratic oath. And that's the way it's always been. And what you and that other guy were saying, Dr. Roger Mitchell, who's the president of Howard University Hospital, what you two are both saying is, no, we want wokeness back in the system. We want diversity in our hospitals. And there's nothing wrong with a black podiatrist or a. Give me a good one here. Or a Latino phlebotomist. But you shouldn't get that gig in phlebotomy. Just I'm not sure a phlebotomy is a blood doctor. What is a phlebotomistology? A phlebotomist is a gi. No, no, no. What is a phlebotomist? I don't know. I just completely. It is a doctor. You're a doctor of the blood. Yeah, yeah. You're a blood. You're a blood guy. So you don't want your transfusion phlebotomist to just get the gig because they speak Spanish. Do you know how to put the needle in the arm? It continues with more stupid. I am incredibly disappointed that as academic deans, you could not immediately answer the question about teaching colonialism and health care. Teaching colonialism directly addresses the systemic roots of health care inequities. It exposes how historic power structures dictate who receives quality care. It's important for future doctors to have that education to recognize how that historically historic legacy promotes biases and negatively impairs outcomes. That's why you teach colonialism in health care. Can we take that clip and do the Billy Madison? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And we're all dumber for having heard it. I mean, thank you for reading that off the paper, lady. But colonialism in health care? What are you talking about? Although it is true, you know, when I hurt my shoulder a month ago, I went to the hospital and I walked in and they were like, we got a white guy. Everybody send him that way. And I walked in and they were like, throwing cash at me and they were giving me massages and everything else. And I was like, no, no, no. I want to be treated like everybody else. Please, please, please. And they were like, no, you're white. You get everything. Dude, they gave me every freaking drug you could imagine. They had people coming in just saying nice things to me for hours. It was extraordinary. Later, when I left, I snuck into where they send the colored people, as they call them. And my God, it was literally. It wasn't even. You push the door open. It's one of those hospital. Well, you don't even push the door. You press the button, the hospital door opens and you literally just fall into a bottomless pit. That's it. That's what they're doing to these people. Let's talk about ICE and what's going on over there. Because again, they don't care about Americans. They lie about absolutely everything. We're going out in style. I'm telling you guys. The next two weeks are just going to be nuts. No, Cap, they just lie about everything. But there is a little, let's say, mishegas around ICE at the moment. Listen to this from CBS. U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been instructed to immediately suspend most vehicle stops during enforcement operations nationwide, except in cases involving serious criminal targets. Following fatal shootings in Texas and Maine over the last week, multiple law enforcement sources told told CBS News Tuesday morning the directive applies to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, the division responsible for civil immigration arrests and removals but not Homeland Security investigations, which primarily handles criminal investigations, according to sources. It's a temporary pause while Enforcement and Removal operations officers receive additional training on vehicle stop tactics, the source said. So look, from day one, as it came to everything with ice, some of the stuff is messy, right? You have people who. Well, first off, you go into areas where you have protesters throwing things at you. You don't know if people are armed. You have people, literally, as Renee Goode tried to drive her car into an officer. You have professional agitators, you have media there trying to make everything bad. So occasionally there's gonna be some broken eggs. That is just a fact. There is no perfect system. It's why it runs very thin with me when I see certain people, usually the sort of guilty, not insane liberal type, but like, the can't get there on Trump type, when they're like, well, I'm for the deportations and the closed borders. I don't like how he's doing it. It's like, all right, you tell me how we can magically do something that'll be airtight and flawless and perfect. You can't. This involves human beings. So ICE is now getting banged up a little bit. And I just wanted to read, before we show you the next clip, some of the qualifications to. To be an ICE officer, you have to be a US Citizen. Hot damn. I don't know how you can prove that. You have to have a valid driver's license. You have to be eligible to carry a firearm. You have to pass a background investigation. You have to pass a drug test and have a medical exam. You have to pass a physical test. You have to be at least 18 years old. And males born after 1959 must be registered with Selective Service. You don't have to have gone to college. So I just want to give you these. There are certain qualifications to be ice. They're not just grabbing anybody and being like, take a gun and go shoot some brown people. Here is Tom Homan on this temporary pause decision was made by the Secretary along with leadership at ice. But look, it's not a policy change. It's a temporary pause. Look, we had the last couple of shootings. ICE leadership, along with dhs, believes they want to look at these last couple incidents. And look, is there something that could have been done better? Is there any training that can be improved or. Or it's simply ICE doing a job, and bad things happen when people don't comply with law enforcement officers. So I think it's going to be a short pause. And I'm confident that ICE is well trained and vehicle stops and you're going to see us keep moving forward, guys. That's competency right there. That's him saying the buck stops with me. Sounds like some weird stuff might have happened. He didn't fully acknowledge that they've done anything wrong. But okay, there were two, at least two shootings that are to be looked into. So we're going to look at it, see if anything was wrong. Maybe something was and we can adjust and maybe something wasn't and we'll move forward. But he's not kicking the can down the road. He's saying this is what we are going to do. So again, this is what you want, but will he get any credit for this? So they're going to do a temporary pause. Trump will do a temporary pause. And it's like you think one Democrat's going to be like, you know, thanks Trump, thanks Republicans. We've been screaming about this thing and you guys are gonna look into it. So thanks a lot. No, they will get no thanks for it. Which is why in some sense you could argue Trump should never play ball with these people at all. Here's a bit more from Fox talking about what's been going on at the traffic stops themselves because that seems to be where most of the consternation is. And then Homan commenting on that. Let me challenge you a little bit, Tom, because in the more than 20 plus ice ride alongs that I've been fortunate to go along along with and document and show our viewers a report on, the majority of them were done through traffic stops because so that our audience understands when ICE agents go out to make a targeted arrest of a criminal illegal alien, largely in sanctuary cities, they have to make an at large arrest. That's not a challenge grip. I just said there are options. In addition to stopping a vehicle, there's an option when he walks out of the house, make the arrest. Now while you identify him before he gets in a 2 ton vehicle, there are options. You wait until he gets to the destination, make arrest. I'm not saying this is a mainstay of what we do, vehicle stops, but the temporary pause is a decision made just to make sure everything's good. Again, this is what you would want out of your, he's not an elected official. This is what you would want of the head of these agencies that if something is going wrong or if there is something to learn to look at, to adjust, that you would like them to acknowledge it. And that's exactly what he's doing. But as I said once again, he'll get no credit for that. And no matter what they do. Because the thing is, they could do every reformation that the Democrats reportedly want. They could like, there's nothing that they could offer the Democrats that the Democrats would say, okay, this is good because the Democrats want. Want. I don't think it's a crazy thing to say at this point that the Democrats actually do want open borders to flood with illegals. And the Democrats do want illegals in all of our cities so that they can keep winning elections. And that's why they demonize ice. It's not that they think these people are inherently so horrible and they're not. And it's not the most fun job in the world and you can get doxed and everything else. It's that they just don't want illegals taken out of the country. So here is representative. He's just another, you know, Rokhan is like my number one awful congressman right now. And then there's obviously the Hamas people like Rashida and Ilhan. But Ted Lieu doesn't get enough credit as a horrible human being. He's from Cali. Here is Ted Lieu who's he used to be best friends with a meth, meth addict who was a big fundraiser for him who had a bunch of black kids coming and doing meth and one died in his house or something. Check. We'll get that story correct. But anyway, here's Ted Lieu and he doesn't like ice. And ICE agents are not trained the way police officers are trained. ICE agents are not real police officers. They get significantly less training. They do not wear body cameras, they wear masks. And they are an out of control rogue agency. Okay. It's interesting that the implication there is that, oh, if we train them like police officers, we'd be for that. Well, Ted Lieu, of course, has supported bills that would defund the police. Surprise, surprise. So this is what they do with everything. Everything is just moving, moving the goalposts. Right? Are you telling. Okay, so now you're suddenly for the police. Ted Lieu, why were you supporting bills that would defund the police? If you just want ICE to be equipped and trained the same way the police are. But again, they want. Ted Lieu does not care about the people of his district. He is a standard pansy Democrat who wants as many illegals here to get them on the dole so they can vote without IDs so that they can attain power, period. But they are all terrible. Let's continue with another one. It's Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego. And here he is. And they have to make this about race. The illegal thing has nothing to do with race. I wouldn't care if it was a Latino coming over or it was a guy from Senegal or even Norway. If you illegally come here, you've got to go. But you can see how they do the pandering. Go. Senator, I'm not sure if you were able to hear an eyewitness to the most recent shooting say, they're killing our people. I think that's how a lot of people are metabolizing this moment, especially if they come from immigrant communities, from Latino communities. Your reaction to these back to back deaths at the hands of ice. Look, just from a personal perspective, in talking to FOUND members and hearing and listening and reading what they're saying on WhatsApp channels, Latinos aren't looking at this as an immigrant versus illegal immigrant situation. They're looking at this as a Latino situation. No, look, okay, I'll pretend that he, or let's grant him that. That's what his people are saying. Okay? I know a lot of Latinos down here in Miami. You want me to open up my basketball chat right now? I got Louis. I got Louis, too. I got Pablo. Okay? And you know what? They're all Republicans and they came here legally and they don't want this illegal nonsense. But you can see what the Democrats want. They desperately want Latinos to suddenly think the Trump administration is racist against them. Ironically, they don't seem to care about the Latinos who live in those border communities who are being overrun. And then there's gang violence and everything else. So it's just standard, standard nonsense. But when you see this Ruben Gallego guy, let's not forget this guy was best friends with Eric Swalwell. So he's not necessarily the best, best judge of character. And also he thought that the Nazi guy was very authentic. This guy is an authentic man, you know, he's not anti Semitic, you know, and more importantly, you know, not more importantly, but just as important is that he's going to win this election and we need to win elections. We cannot go another four, five, six years, you know, trying to get the Senate back. Like, we need to consistently win because whoever's going to be president in 2028, we need to hand them the House. Do you get it? It's always about power with these guys. So, yes, as if he really knows Platner anyway. Right? Like he's the senator from Arizona. He probably met the upstart guy from Maine one time. But he put his ass on the line for him like Ro Khanna and all these other guys. But in essence, what he said there was, I think this guy has a chance to win, so I'm gonna back him because what do we want? We want power. That is all we want. But again, he's not a great judge of character because everyone knew how many times on this show was I talking about Eric Swalwell banging a Chinese spy named Fang Fang? And there was so much dirt around Swalwell. This guy was his best friend. You said when you first heard these rumors a few weeks ago, that's when you called him. Then you said you've heard these rumors for years. So which one is it, Senator? So I heard rumors of him being flirty. And that wasn't an issue enough for you to not trust him to watch your kids or be close with him? Because, you know, you hear this and then when you're close to somebody and you know his wife, you see this, you see that relationship, you know that like it maybe just isn't true. Have you asked him about it prior to this few weeks? I asked him about it a few weeks ago when it, when it started coming up online. Yes. Yeah. Again, supposedly his best friend. I knew his wife and I thought he was just flirty. Like, these people are just all terrible. And it continues with this guy from the New York Post DOJ investigating Senator Ruben Gallego after records revealed he blew campaign cash on super bowl tickets and Disney trips. Surprise, surprise. Of course, much of this now to kind of wrap us to where we started is around how the media lies about all of these things. So whether it's them lying about, say, very fine people and pushing a hoax on us or the Hunter Biden laptop or Russia, Russia, Russia, you know, all the big ones. Jessie Smollett. They lie about narrative stories, but one of the ways they do subtleize is just how they change language in very Orwellian terms. Right. So they make you think things because they leave out words or they change words or they change the meaning of words. Here's White House spokesman Stephen Miller on how they've shifted to undocumented migrant, which sounds very nice and uppity as opposed to what these people are, which are illegal aliens. Online, security Secretary Kristi Noem posted a stunning allegation saying that an undocumented migrant sent a letter threatening to kill the president, promising to self deport after the assassination. CNN reporting shows that investigators believe the migrant was set up. It was a victim of a setup. What is the administration going to do now? And this is an undocumented immigrant. I do want to note that. I want to clarify what you mean. So we're talking about the same thing. Are you saying this immigrant was here illegally? Yes, but I am. And that's why I said that. I clarified that. You said it does that undocumented. And I wasn't clear what that means. I'm assuming they have a fake id. I'm assuming they have a fake security number that's neither here nor therefore in their home country. Steven, I want. I want this to be, and call me naive, a good faith discussion about what's happening right now. But when we use language that's designed to obscure the truth, that's not good faith. Yeah. So that clip, as you can tell, was from a few months ago, but that's how you deal with this. Call them out in real time. What do I say? I love when Ted Cruz went on the View and he but busted out the papers. Call out their BS to their face. What was that clip from a few days ago when. Who was the woman? It doesn't even matter who it was, but she turns to Anna Navarro and she's like, do you know any of the names of the young girls who have been the young American girls who've been killed by illegals? And Anna's like, yes, I do. She's like, okay, what are they? And Anna's like, oh, well, I don't want to talk about that call out there. I should know that girl's name because that was Caroline Sunshine. Yeah, she did a great job. No, thank you. Thank you for that. That's what you have to do with these people and call out their nonsense. Right? When a CNN anchor says undocumented immigrant. Well, what are you talking about? You mean an illegal who came into this country? And guess what happens when they come into this country? They often do horrible things. Do you remember this story from a couple months ago? We're going to show you some video as I read the tweet. Illegal immigrant who killed three people after plowing his truck into multiple vehicles in South California, Southern California. Sentences. Sentenced to just five years in prison. Indian Jashaprit Singh, who was under the influence of drugs when he crashed, entered the country during the Biden administration. He made no attempt to swerve or stop the truck when he plowed into multiple cars on the 10 Freeway. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy previously said the accident could have been avoided. It would have never happened if Gavin Newsom had followed our new rules. California broke the law. And now three people are dead and two are hospitalized. These people deserve justice. Duffy said Singh pleaded guilty last month and has since been sentenced to just five years in prison. Connor, leave that up. So that guy right there illegally enters the country, he's on drugs, somehow gets a job because Newsom allowed illegals to get jobs as truckers. He's high on the job, kills three Americans, and now he's only going to jail for five years. First off, the guy. And we're going to have to spend our tax dollars to keep him in one of our jails. How about we send him to the temple of Doom back in India, let him deal with Kali Ma and the guy who rips the heart out. Can we get a picture of that guy? Kali Ma. Kali Ma. Let him deal with that. That was in India. That would be something. I'm pretty sure that was a documentary. Not mistaken. While Yugi gets that. The judge who did this sentencing, of course, was a democrat appointed judge. There she is. Katrina West. What in God's name are you doing? What are you people doing? He killed three people while he was high. Whoever hired him should probably go to jail. Gavin Newsom should be sued into oblivion. Do we have Kalima? Kalima. Remember, he takes the heart out and that's what should happen to the guy. And then they dump him in the fire pit. Have I become radicalized or I'm just saying it how it is in Sacramento, which is the capital of dystopian California, while they have, you know, drugs everywhere and crime and urban decay and everything else, they've decided that the most important thing is to sift through the citizens trash to make sure they're recycling before you roll out your bins, just know your garbage. Mixed recycling and organic waste containers could be inspect. Yeah, we won't be touching any of the contents. Just giving a visual. The city of Sacramento will have crews checking containers across the city to track if residents are sorting properly. We conducted the same reviews last June and we found high contamination levels of, you know, issues like plastic bags and the recycling garbage and the organics. Hey, Jessa. David over there. That was that woman's name. It's like, lady, I'm not for masks, but for this gig, get yourself a mask, put on some gloves, for God's sakes. Like, okay, this is what you people want to do. You want to see? I would love if someone just starts sifting through my garbage out there. You put a poop diaper. We got a lot of them around here. You put a poop Diaper in recycling. You're gonna. But. So that's just another Democrat run backwards. Never eye on the ball. Punish people for putting diapers in recycling bins. But it's not just the Democrats that suck. Some of the Republicans suck. Tom Trump Tillis, who is a senator, has voted against the SAVE Act. Trump can't even get all the Republicans on board this thing. My friend Sara Gonzalez, who was on the show a week or so ago, formerly of the Blaze, she's just great. She went to the Capitol and look, she just gets in his face and basically is saying, what the f are you doing? Senator, you've received almost $700,000 from the illegal labor lobby. Is that why you voted against. Against the Save America Act? Can you tell me who the illegal labor lobbyists? Yes, it's contractors, general contractors, hospitality companies, industries, construction companies and industries. You know about the Save. Which, which Save America act are you talking about? The one that you voted against, sir. Okay. And so you're asking me if I voted. I was against it. Because you're receiving almost $700,000 from these lobbyists. Do you have any remark, any idea what a remarkably silly question that is? I think it's a pretty important one. I think your constituents want to know why you're betraying them. Math. You know what my election cycle, the total all in election cycle cost was in 2020. It's $300 million. Do you honestly believe that I would make a policy decision based on that? I don't know why you're betraying your constituents. I'm independent, okay? I mean, Tom from North Carolina first off that his election cost $300 million. That just is also telling you just like how broken the system is. That's fine, but. All right, like, are you. Does that $700,000 move you? I'm not even implying that it does. Sarah does a nice job there, for sure. But why would you not? It's so low level. How many times have we shown you the numbers on this? Something like 97% of Republicans are for the SAVE act and even. And what were the numbers we saw something like 70% of Democrats are for IDs. So what is it? What is going on, Tom? Who got to you? What is happening? Why don't you want people to have IDs to vote? Anyway, good work, Sarah. All right, we got one more thing for you. Remember about a week ago we showed you a clip where Sunny Hostin, the most racist woman on television, she claimed that sometimes she goes to communities where they have American flags and it makes her nervous, and she thinks that they're racist and they're going to come get her. It's a complete and utter lie. Right? Like, where I wish somebody on that panel would have been like, sonny, which community did you go to? Was it in Seaside, New Jersey? Was it in Miami, Florida? Was it in. It doesn't matter. Like, where did you go? You saw some American flags. You thought, my God, they're coming to get me. It's complete and utter nonsense. Well, anyway, as if bludgeoning you people with the View isn't enough, we could put the warning up on this one, even though it's not actually the View. After the View, they do a podcast and they get one of these guys that just needs some testosterone, and he asks her about her freaking out over American flag communities. All right, let's talk about something serious or more serious. Okay. Something you said last week on the show got a lot of attention. What else is new? But it was about the American flag. And this is something that you've said before, more than once. But a couple years ago, you talked about it. I've said it many times, but it seems to get people. They get very animated. See, that's what I was gonna say. What's interesting is that this is not a new conversation amongst the black community. In the black community, it's something that we talk about. It's just a lie. She's also starting to look like Michael Jackson, you know, and if you guys don't think Michael Jackson. If you don't think America is great, think about it. In what other country could a little black boy become an old white woman? You know what I'm saying? But what. It's just. So you're telling me black people. I just can't imagine that, like, someone find me a black person. Put it in the comments. If you are a black person who walked somewhere and saw an American flag and thought that that meant they were coming for you, please illustrate that to me. I just don't believe it. Because if you felt that that was true, you would leave. And nobody leaves. However, they do threaten a lot of us. I thought this was quite interesting. You know, you don't hear much from the Supreme Court justices when they're not giving, you know, their written arguments and when the court's not in session and when they're not doing things as it relates to the judiciary. But there was a hearing on Capitol Hill where they brought in Amy Coney Barrett and Elena Kagan. So they brought in one of the conservatives and one of the liberals on growing threats around their lives and their safety as we've entered this very strange political environment, particularly post the assassination of Charlie Kirk, but also the attempts on Trump, et cetera. And here is Amy Coney Barrett talking about some of the things that she has had to deal with. So I thought I would just share a little bit about how the threats have affected me and my family personally. They have required me to my children to think about and see things that children should not have to see or think about. One example is when threats to my life were particularly intense. A few years ago, around the time of the Dobbs leak. My security detail sent me home with a bulletproof vest and I carried it into my house, put it into my bedroom, dropped it down on a table, turned around and my 12 year old son was standing in the doorway of my bedroom and he wanted to know what it was and why I had it. And I didn't know how to respond because maybe I lack imagination, but I didn't expect that performing this service was going to put me in the position of explaining to my children what a bulletproof vest was and why I had to wear one. Yeah, and here we are. You can agree with her decisions, not agree with her decisions. I'm sure. I don't remember exactly how she voted on all the decisions from, you know, a week and a half ago, but there were some decisions that I didn't agree with with the Supreme Court, like on birthright citizenship. I don't agree with what they did, but I don't ratchet up the fear mongering around them to gin up people to try to kill them. But if you constantly. Well, first off, if you subtly say that violence is okay, as we've pointed out, many Democrats now say they can understand why people shot Charlie Kirk, you can understand why someone might take out Donald Trump, et cetera, et cetera. You can understand why someone might kill the United Healthcare CEO in the middle of time square. Well, there's that, there's the constant like oh, if the fascists are here and it's the Trump court and everything else. Ironically, the Trump court doesn't even go in Trump's direction all the time. Again, see the decisions of last week. But this is the situation that we are now in and I don't know how we get out of this thing because and this is not a two way street thing. This is not because of the Republicans or right leaning people. This is because the Democrats have burned down every norm. Again, what did I say 50 minutes ago? The Democrats had every opportunity to sit down with Trump and negotiate everything. We could be in the mostit's almost unthinkable actually, but we could be in the craziest bipartisan agreement situation that has ever happened in America right now because Trump would have done it. He would have compromised on things that he held very deep, maybe even border related things to get deals done. They just will not give an inch. And now the bigger problem is that as they didn't give an inch, they also let the radicals in and the socialists are taking over. And here's former White House spokesman under George W. Bush. Ari George W. Bush Ari Fleischer Abat I've got news for the Democrats. They need to wake up and smell the coffee. The socialist arising in the United States is going to get the kiss of death for many Democrats throughout the country. They are not there to work with the Democrats. They are there to take over from the Democrats. And it's about time the Democrats stood up to the growing socialist movement and stood up for principles. Sean, like you just walked through things they should object to that once made them a great party that was competitive. This is terrible for the Democrats. Yeah, well I would only add to that. I hope you're right. I hope it's terrible for the Democrats. I hope as the radicals have won these primaries that when we get to the general election in November that Republicans win because people are like, oh, we don't want to be a communist nation. I hope that's right. I don't know that it's terrible. We will have to see what happens. But again, the silver lining on all of this is I don't think what they are offering us is where most Americans are at. And we just have to keep shining a light on that to make sure that it is exposed at the highest possible levels. I think I did everything I could do on the program today. I thank you for watching. We got postgame show in 30 seconds. Rubinreport.locals.com Goodbye.

A hard-hitting exploration of “red-pilling” moments—why prominent tech figures and others have shifted their political views, the media’s role in distorting truth (particularly around Trump), current economic recovery, U.S.-Iran standoff, free speech, “wokeness” in institutions, border/immigration policy drama, and the broader impact of tone and language in American political life.
Chamath Palihapitiya, on CNBC, described how consuming mainstream media led to him believing fabricated narratives about Trump – specifically referencing the “very fine people on both sides” Charlottesville hoax.
Chamath (clip):
"The reality is that most of us were lied to by the media about President Trump. … I put the phone down. I called my wife and said, we got it totally, totally wrong. We were lied to." ([06:36])
Dave elaborates on the significance: Many undergo formative “aha” experiences forcing them to reassess core beliefs long shaped by media misinformation. Rubin claims pride in being among the first to mainstream-debunk the Charlottesville myth.
Discussion on why these falsehoods persist:
"Why is it that these lies can just go and go and go, even as young people don’t watch cable anymore?" ([13:10])
Chamath and CNBC hosts urge adults to move past irrational hatred (“TDS”) and evaluate political figures on results, not reflexive animosity.
Dave shares his own journey—didn’t vote for Trump in 2016, but stressed giving new presidents a chance and avoiding hysterical rhetoric.
Rubin:
"It’s very hard to call someone Hitler and his supporters Nazis, and then a year later admit the economy did turn around. … People painted themselves into a corner." ([18:10])
Emphasis on moving beyond binary thinking: Trump gets credit for current economic upswing; media and tribal thinking keep many from acknowledging good news.
Chamath and CNBC’s Rick Santelli review latest data:
Santelli (clip):
"CPI month-over-month… will be the smallest amount since Jan ‘21… Headline inflation is now at a 6-year low." ([25:05])
Rubin:
"Inflation is dropping. … When inflation goes down, the economy gets more liquidity—good things are happening." ([27:30])
Delving into U.S.-Iran relations:
Chamath (clip):
"He [Trump] believes strongly in no nuclear weapons. … The only real risk for humanity is nuclear war." ([31:16])
Dave frames this as an example of moral clarity and U.S. leadership:
"We are the last remaining superpower, whether you like it or not. … I’d rather it be us." ([33:42])
Trump threatens infrastructure strikes (power plants, bridges) if Iran doesn’t negotiate—a display of transparency and negotiation by pressure, not blind aggression.
Media’s orchestration of language manipulates public perception:
Stephen Miller (clip):
"When we use language designed to obscure the truth, that’s not good faith." ([1:56:40])
Dave:
"Call out their BS to their face."
"They lie about narrative stories … but one of the ways they do subtler lies is changing language in Orwellian terms." ([1:57:30])
Coverage of Senate hearings and “woke” policies:
Dave Rubin:
"No, you know what saves lives? Competent doctors. … If those people are colorblind, they’ll operate on everyone." ([1:13:25])
"[On gender medicine] We don’t chop up genitals, we just drug them with the wrong sex hormones. What is going on here?"
"No matter what [ICE] do, Democrats will move the goalposts." ([1:32:46])
"At his own roast, he pointed out to all of these idiots … that he’s been fighting the machine." ([1:00:56])
Supreme Court Justices (Amy Coney Barrett) testify about threats, bulletproof vests, and emotional toll on families.
Dave lays blame for growing acceptance of political violence at the feet of Democrats, their rhetoric, and “burning down every norm.”
"We could be in the craziest bipartisan era ever, but they just will not give an inch … the radicals are taking over."
"This isn’t both sides. … This is because the Democrats have burned down every norm." ([2:10:45])
Former Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer warns Democrats risk being overtaken by their radical wing—Dave hopes American voters will reject far-left socialism.
Chamath (Red-Pill):
"We got it totally, totally wrong. We were lied to." ([06:36])
Dave Rubin:
"One of the proudest moments in my career is debunking the ‘very fine people’ lie." ([11:25])
Rubin on TDS:
"It’s not what you do to him, it’s what you do to yourself. You paint yourself into a corner." ([18:50])
CNBC’s Rick Santelli:
"This is our June release of CPI … the biggest negative drop since basically COVID." ([25:05])
Chamath:
"[Trump] was completely binary on there cannot be nuclear war. … That got me to see his point of view." ([31:16])
Dave Rubin (ICE):
"No matter what they do, the Democrats will never give them credit." ([1:32:46])
Stephen Miller:
"When you use language to obscure the truth, that’s not good faith." ([1:56:40])
Amy Coney Barrett (on threats):
"My security detail sent me home with a bulletproof vest … I had to explain to my 12-year-old son what it was and why I needed it." ([2:08:12])
Ari Fleischer:
"The socialists are not there to work with the Democrats. They are there to take over." ([2:13:35])
This episode delivers a fast-paced, often biting breakdown of media misrepresentations, the process of “red-pilling” in American elites, and why that process matters in a political era marked by polarization. With illustrative quotes, real-time data, and clips from politicians and media, Rubin builds a case for seeing past “narrative management” and focusing on the pragmatic consequences of policy—on the economy, security, and civic life. If you want a blend of current events, culture-war hot buttons, political scandal, and savage humor, this episode is Rubin at full throttle.
