terms visit lowe's dot what a conversation after that first episode with sean hannity i'm sure you get why i decided to split this thing up into two parts and trust me the second part is as good as the first where we go places that i never could have imagined listen when sean hannity teaches you how to defend yourself how to fight you pay attention maybe my favorite part of this entire show is when sean's better half calls him while we're taping and he picks up the phone yes then ainsley and i had the best conversation part two of my sit down with sean hannity right she's tricking
Sean Hannity
me she's making me say stuff i've never said before i've told you more than i've told anybody publicly this has not worked for me you know i want to know more about your story tell me more about no no this
Sage Steele
is about you what happened to this
Sean Hannity
interview best interview ever take your thumb stick it in their eye have you ever killed somebody if you come down
Sage Steele
that's not answer sunshine hi ainsley look
Ainsley Earhardt
i know we don't serve a queen but our language did come from brit language is important do you see the
Sage Steele
smile on his face do you see that confidence you're running for president aren't
Sean Hannity
you you really want me to answer that
Sage Steele
kids do want structure they're not going to ask for structure at that age they're not going to ask for rules and accountability but they want it they they they i think beg for it without verbally saying it they need
Sean Hannity
to be loved and one of the biggest mistakes parents make is they want to be liked and they want to be their children their kids friend when they're too young yeah now i can say my son's twenty seven my daughter's twenty four now we can be friends
Sage Steele
are you are you friends with them
Sean Hannity
very close very close i love them with all my heart i don't want to give them anything what do you mean i i do i think god created everybody to serve i go through this whole lecture with them number first rule is don't make me a grandfather i don't want and they're like what are you what are you talking about they're not married so they're like i'm like that means one more person in my life i have to worry about one more person i'm responsible for because that's how my mind thinks and you know i am the person that solves problems doesn't matter what it is who it is i will get in there i'm going to fix it and then i have to think okay college tuition okay i got to think about private school i got to think about coaches i got to think about tutors i got that's how my mind works if somebody in my life if you're in my life and i am the person that will take care of you come hell or high water so we talk about that i was going to tell
Sage Steele
you something else friends friends with them
Sean Hannity
you can't be friends with them and however as they get older you know i don't want to give them too much yes and what because i think that god the word education is interesting because i i did in high school that high school where i got in trouble was a seminary and it was an all boys high school and there's only one hundred students in every class and i did study latin and theology and we did go to mass every day and actually in retrospect i didn't pay attention then however it had a deep profound impact it laid a great foundation and it gave me a conscience which actually was what got me out of that bartending life in the end it was interesting how my conscience bothered me i can't be living like this i just didn't feel good about myself or even like myself at that point in my life and so i think that god the word education from latin means to bring forth from within yeah well that's predicated on this idea that god put it in you and that i think with sunlight and nourishment that person you were meant to be comes out it flourishes and you were meant you're not in this world to be served you you have to serve other people whatever you do you're serving somebody and what i say to my kids sometimes is just think about you going to a restaurant you walk in all of a sudden somebody greets you and says hello they welcome you they escort you to your table and somebody else comes and they fill your water glasses and then somebody will come by and they'll take a drink water and then they'll go to the bar and that person will make the drinks for the for your table being served the whole night long okay then a waiter will come by and say what would you like for your appetizer and then he brings it to the chef and then the chef will cook it and then the guy will bring it out and serve it to you and then somebody will come and pick up the dishes refill your water you know get you another drink of your you know coke or whatever or martini whatever you're drinking and then the dishwasher will clean up your mess and then they'll do it all over again then you get your entree then you get your dessert and all those people served you that night yes okay my kids are not kings and queens i was not raised that way i think you have to find your purpose and i don't think you could be happy or gratified or satisfied just being served all the time i think whatever talent god gave you you have a talent of communication whatever talent god gave you you share it with other people you know that's why i don't like trust fund kids or people that become doesn't mean i don't want to give it to them or give them stuff and doesn't mean i don't give them stuff it means that i have certain rules that you have to live by behavior basic stuff nothing complicated and the second thing is that you've got to work you have got to work i don't care what you do and both my kids have found their own way at this point in their lives i think probably they'll change at different points i'm in business one business with my son he runs two of his own businesses my daughter is kind of in her own business in a weird way and she stayed in the tennis world a little bit longer but i think she might transition out of that at some point she's been asking to work for me lately i'm like i'm the worst boss in the world right stepho no the worst boss in
Sage Steele
the world no because you're so because you're kind and you're like ah you
Sean Hannity
want to know how my management style oh yes yeah i have one person i deal with on radio one on tv and they manage the staff i don't want to get involved i buy everybody on radio lunch every day i buy everybody on tv dinner every night and that's my way of being nice and i try to give everyone a christmas bonus that works for me so that's the amount of contact i have and my attitude is this is your opportunity what you do with it then
Sage Steele
is up to you and that's the same message that has to go to our children it's so beautiful when they start to figure it out and they realize you know yeah i could have asked mom or dad for that but they held firm and said no you go earn it and then it's theirs they don't have to come back and they can tell people no no i did this because i think people assume a lot sean hannity's kid could have afforded to give them whatever they dreamt of and and you said okay yeah i can help you out here or there but you go do it it's
Sean Hannity
priceless now it's kind of different like my son's gotten into golf he's always been a pretty good athlete in his life and i just happen to be a member of a club that has a golf course and he will ask dad can i go i'm like yeah go ahead i don't care just use it whenever you want and i say the same thing to my daughter little stuff like that i don't feel like i'm giving them important things when my daughter got a car ainsley did not like this story when i first told it to her when i explained it to her she had a different perspective i said to my daughter okay tell me what car you want and we went to breakfast and i said when we go to breakfast on saturday you can tell me what car you picked
Sage Steele
and she's how old at this point
Sean Hannity
she had just turned seventeen she just was about to get her license okay and she had picked a i don't want to say a bad thing about a car company she picked a particular model that was somewhat somewhat inexpensive and then i said okay and then i said now let's google insurance industry safety rating for that particular model least safe midsize suv on the market that's what now the insurance industry is the one to look at because they base their rates on it yes okay then i put insurance industry safest mid size suv what popped up mercedes benz and i said how do you like that car he goes i like that she goes but dad i think you know people people are going to think that i'm rich if i have this car they're going to think that you know i come from a rich family i said i promise you the ship probably has sailed about that people probably know that i have a little bit of money
Sage Steele
yes
Sean Hannity
and i said and then i said to her i said what if i got you the other car that's not as safe and i knew it wasn't as safe and i didn't spend the extra ten grand it was about ten thousand more dollars and then let's say most young drivers have accidents and what if you had an accident and i'm in the hospital and i'm looking over at my daughter and i'm thinking maybe if i spent the extra ten grand which i could easily afford she would be in better shape yeah yeah i don't want to live with that so when we ended up getting that ainsley was like well i got a pinto or some ridiculous car and i'm like well i don't i had i had more options than maybe your parents had at the time and her parents are great i knew her mom she passed away and her dad and i i think i talk to her dad more than she does wow isn't that funny yeah we have a great relationship funny story about when i had to ask the question i'll tell you about that anyway so guess what happened one month into my daughter's new car she hit a deer hit a deer car got wrecked really satan perfectly fine know what the worst part of the story know what she called dad they just
Sage Steele
shot the deer oh goodness put it out of its misery is what they did that was nice i'm like yes
Sean Hannity
okay that's not my number one question
Sage Steele
are you okay are you okay yes
Sean Hannity
so it's a little a little bit
Sage Steele
of irony and it's a fine line you know here's the key i think the fact that she was like dad that's not necessary i'm okay with this yeah i think that is the best part of the story because she could have started there she started here that means she had some perspective she wasn't trying to go spend your money she was appreciative she's like no i'm good here that's a lot dad and didn't want to be perceived as a spoiled brat or something like i i love
Sean Hannity
that it also became another narrative though i'm like really do you really care what other people think about you true true that and then i said to her if i cared what people think about me i couldn't do my job half the country hates me yep pretty much i mean you know but the
Sage Steele
other half likes me summer is finally here and if you want to actually feel confident less bloated and energized it starts with your gut i thought being bloated every day was just normal and it's not once i fixed my gut everything changed my digestion my skin my hair and the one thing that made the biggest difference is cowboy colostrum i started taking cowboy boy colostrum yes for my gut but the results i didn't expect are the ones that shocked me the most my hair is noticeably thicker and bigger fuller my skin is clearer and i'm not bloated after every meal anymore colostrum supports gut health and when your gut is right everything else follows digestion bloating skin clarity hair growth all of it this isn't just my experience though cowboy ran a clinical study and the numbers back it up eighty three percent of participants reported improved gut health seventy nine percent experienced less bloating and inflammation seventy percent two percent saw improved digestion and sixty two percent saw fuller thicker hair so for a limited time our listeners get up to twenty five percent off their entire order just head to cowboycolostrum dot com sage and use code sage at checkout that's twenty five percent off when you use the code sage at cowboycolostrum dot com sage new
Sean Hannity
york became untenable for me it really did it became i felt i was putting people in danger i would walk into places restaurants and you can read a room and when you saw what i would see there was utter disdain on people's faces is that why you left new york one of the many reasons but it became a problem i felt like i was putting other people in jeopardy just hanging out with me
Sage Steele
when did that turn trump trump was
Sean Hannity
fifteen sixteen it was bad before but i was very early for trump and but the greatest decision i made to leave oh yeah i'm gone three years now do you miss it no no why not not even you know what
Sage Steele
i never lived there but certainly espn was close to new york i was in a lot yep i missed the old new york i missed ten years ago fifteen years ago new york that's what i miss this new york no i understand why you would never consider going back but it was different you
Sean Hannity
know i it's funny because the only two you're the only the third person that ever asked me like i had a really gorgeous house in long island long island three people now have asked me if i miss new york you ainsley and my daughter asked if i missed the house like it's a stupid house suddenly you know you know the memories are with me you're with me wherever i am is where i have to be happy am i boring this must be is this getting boring oh
Sage Steele
my gosh this is you're absolutely not this is this is fascinating let's talk
Sean Hannity
about you again let's go back absolutely
Sage Steele
not once again what did the family say when you set them out because you're from new york and i think
Sean Hannity
it was hardest on ainsley but she didn't know i had a whole plan to make it work i think through everything i'm like boom boom boom boom
Sage Steele
how often do you see each other
Sean Hannity
well as often as we did in new york put it that way because of because i lived in long island she lived in the city oh i had been out of fox news headquarters for years before COVID oh i didn't know that nobody knew that you were doing it from home i did radio and tv from home oh my gosh until i did the podcast recently and i built a studio as you know you've been there it's beautiful isn't it cool yeah where's the pool table i
Sage Steele
know my nashville studio we're in a great hotel in palm beach by the
Sean Hannity
way white elephant this is like the honeymoon suite you all oh just wait
Sage Steele
till serious i'm kidding i'm kidding no
Sean Hannity
stop what am i supposed to stop
Sage Steele
the honeymoon suite well am i wrong
Sean Hannity
he said it's going to be a honeymoon night he said why are you blushing over there by the way you have a nice little balcony it's great
Sage Steele
i know why you live in palm beach it's beautiful it's stunning there's really nowhere else like it you are you know but when your address is palm beach you're really bougie like you can't
Sean Hannity
go back now no i can't and
Sage Steele
you're like and i don't want to
Sean Hannity
well i love my view i see god every day the ocean that's it and the most beautiful sunrises beautiful full moons beautiful ocean views i mean i can't get enough of it i feel
Sage Steele
like you'd be a great grandpa no
Sean Hannity
i have to worry about sending the kid to college private schools no your
Sage Steele
kids do they're the parent okay but
Sean Hannity
why will i feel the responsibility i'm going to be thinking that way so
Sage Steele
then everyone else don't do it because it would well do you want to
Sean Hannity
be you want to be a grandma
Sage Steele
oh this is an interesting topic how do you feel about that he's ready today i'm like dude we just got married can we have can we tell them to wait we need our time and by the way the oldest one isn't even twenty four yet so like no one's near you not all of them my younger two do not my oldest does and his two do right
Sean Hannity
now as well on your two do they're younger than mine my two kids live very close to me that's a blessing no i manipulated the shit out of it well not really once they got down here and once they saw what life down here would be like
Sage Steele
oh it's a game changer i could
Sean Hannity
not get them to move if i gave them a million dollars let's put
Sage Steele
it that way they get it this this does completely change you it does i let me ask you this though because i am a little selfish with my husband because part of me well a huge part of me feels like gosh i had to wait fifty two years to find my soulmate and so i kind of i kind of i kind of want it to be just us for a while i do that's not selfish that's normal so and that's why he's like hey the kids they can live with us i'm like no no one can live with us no
Sean Hannity
you said okay to living with them
Sage Steele
he's he's so much softer than me in that way i'm like no no and no and this is our get a job get a job leave me alone like you're getting your education paid for get a job and wow i know i just plus i know how proud i was of myself for getting the job and not having my parents contribute anything because they couldn't for the most part but also was a pride thing but selfish wanted to live with
Sean Hannity
you guys you would say no i
Sage Steele
would strongly encourage them not to really yeah i also i mean it's not that it's not for lack of love
Sean Hannity
i'm sure you don't have a little
Sage Steele
house we actually we actually are renovating a house in nashville now that is not a big house it's not i want it that way we both have had the big house life same here
Sean Hannity
i don't want a big house here
Sage Steele
it's too much to take care of but i also i want i like it's in the city and it's street parking i love nashville and i've never been able to i have actually never lived in a city but selfishly yes we never like if i hadn't been if i were younger i would have loved to have had another child i can't do it at this age there's just no way you actually could yeah no thank you whoa i mean can you picture fifty three years old let's not let's not well i mean and
Sean Hannity
there are certain things called like science behind ivf i love it i know
Sage Steele
but you know there's some there's a a religious part to that that is somewhat controversial right to me but i'm like yeah and i'm fine with it too but at fifty three there's i've been there done that the last time it's been twenty years since i had
Sean Hannity
a kid i'll tell you there's a word you may not like it but
Sage Steele
it works surrogate okay you're saying you don't want a grandchild and you're telling me to go have another baby at fifty three like a grandchild that you
Sean Hannity
can i didn't quite look at it that way no i guess that would be called check and mate i've just been checkmated by your beautiful bride i just do you want more kids not for us i mean it would be great but i think it would be awesome to have grandkids and you like the grandkid idea i think it'd be fun again we have a lot we're doing and how old are your kids
Sage Steele
seventeen seventeen so they're seventeen twenty twenty seventeen twenty twenty twenty two twenty four okay no get a job leave me alone i got you we'll go to dinner a couple times a week and again if there's something then yes but for the most part when you got
Sean Hannity
to go do it vacations do you like to take i try not to
Sage Steele
no we did no we did we did last year to make sure all the kids liked each other before we got married not that they had a choice getting married it was pretty good yeah there were some moments but it was pretty good we went to another country we took the moment we went to costa rica and it was it was cool it was cool it was memorable for sure but it was like i mean this whole thing happened forget it this is not about me point being he's really good at this okay i'm going to segue to something because you mentioned this earlier this is a
Sean Hannity
can i ask another question about this
Sage Steele
you have five seconds
Sean Hannity
do you guys
Sage Steele
ever fight argue we argue argue like
Sean Hannity
what do you argue over well where's
Sage Steele
my wine can i have a glass of wine we argue the thing that we argue about the most yeah and it's not even often okay i'm a
Sean Hannity
night owl guilty same here see we're not bad people you're not a night owl what time do you go to
Sage Steele
bed he gets mad ten ten kennedy's still on the air at ten yeah
Sean Hannity
ten o' clock i'm gonna sleep with you sean see he should be sitting here we need like a roundtable me
Sage Steele
we can do that another time actually with ainsley yes both i have some questions for ainsley oh do i come
Sean Hannity
here and i'll tell you how she'd answer what question would you ask her what would you want to ask her
Sage Steele
i get really sappy what would you ask i would get really sappy and i'd say when did you know sean was the one because i do think
Sean Hannity
that we have not told our story you know that we've not not really like told the the whole story the details none of it because we're both very private no i'm not opening that door i already told you enough about my incorrigible childhood when did when did
Sage Steele
you know ainsley was the one
Sean Hannity
it's a great question it's the it's the strangest thing i had a lot of issues for a lot of years kept it to myself i didn't really share very few people knew my sisters knew my doctor like maybe two of my best friends and i just kept it private oddly enough i mean i was friends with her and her husband and i used to get rangers tickets and billy joel tickets and concert tickets and we're all friends and it was nothing you know nefarious ever never thought because i really do believe in my christian faith and all of that long story and ends ends and then it was just one day i just opened the door and confided to her in the middle of me telling the story which i really kept private for such a long time i see her crying
Sage Steele
and
Sean Hannity
she you know and i looked up and i'm like you know and it just it just kind of we became best friends why was she crying because she realized it was a lot
Sage Steele
she knew what she knew when it comes to investing are you just focused on what you're buying or have you thought about where you're holding it because that's where a lot of people get it wrong most investors don't fully understand the power of tax advantaged accounts they're trading crypto or other assets in standard accounts and every time they make a move they could be creating a taxable event that means over time you're not just building gains you're giving a portion of them away and if you're a long term investor it can be even more frustrating you sit on an asset for years it grows and when you finally sell a big chunk goes to taxes the solution is itrust capital itrust capital lets you buy and sell crypto as well as physical gold and silver all inside a self directed ira so you can actively manage your portfolio without triggering capital gains taxes on every trade you can open a new ira with itrust capital or rollover an old four hundred one k or existing ira that means taking retirement money that's been sitting in the same traditional system and actually putting it to work you'll have more control more flexibility and access to more alternative assets and you'll get to keep more of what you make because you won't create a taxable event every time you make a trade inside the account use my link in the description below to create an account with one thousand dollars of funds and and get a one hundred dollars funding bonus go to itrustcapital dot com go sagesteal to learn more
Sean Hannity
i am so grateful for all of my life good times bad doesn't matter i just am i hold no resentment left in my life i am done intramural fighting by the way all the people in the podcast space f you sick of this person you know and they're all yelling i'm like man you get you're all giving me a headache i know you know spreading conspiracy theories i am not in that space if they want to be there you enjoy it right it's all yours it's not what i'm doing and i have no intention ever go down that road but
Sage Steele
that but that journey i am so with you the journey to get to today the journey to get to that moment with ainsley when when you knew and sometimes i think especially after difficult parts of our journey and we all have them by the way no matter what you know personally professionally you needed all of that to get to the moment where you knew she was the
Sean Hannity
one you needed just i don't know i mean i just never i never thought anything as wonderful would happen or that i ever deserved it deserved no i don't think i do i told you my book would be called an undeserved life that's part of it and
Sage Steele
i understand that the appreciation especially just something as simple as financial freedom when you look at your parents and how much they struggled and how hard they had to work but it's different that's one thing it's different to think that you don't deserve love true love in a relationship in a marriage
Sean Hannity
i'm a work in progress aren't we all yeah i mean what you're saying is very deep and profound and i know you're right i don't know i mean i'm just wired in that hunter gatherer mode so much that like i will tell you one of the one of the great gifts she's given me is i remember she asked me one time so have you ever traveled you know where have you traveled to and i'm like yeah i have i've been in really cool places and it's like where singapore vietnam helsinki iraq israel and that was my list that was my travel list and she put it together she goes well wait a minute that's all work related every one of those trips you're talking about and potential spam there we go and she goes no no where did you travel for like fun i'm like well i usually go to florida for vacation i had a place on the west coast in florida and she couldn't believe it and then like she opened up this other horizon to me and i i don't have a lot of vacation time but i take it and i'm really glad i did it all although it was hard to get me to do it hard to get me to break out and commit to a week ahead of time that i'm definitely going to take off what if news breaks i'm not used to what
Sage Steele
was it about her that allowed you
Sean Hannity
to say she's right as long as i'm with her it doesn't matter where is it is doesn't matter
Sage Steele
don't you
Sean Hannity
you know you're tricking me i'm not
Sage Steele
tricking you i'm trying she's tricking me
Sean Hannity
she's making me say stuff i've never said before this is not good i'm
Sage Steele
not tricking you i am i am it hurts me a little bit why that you feel like you don't deserve
Sean Hannity
that i never really thought i just never had it before and i can say having it now and having not had it before i'm just grateful because you know i guess a lot of people i'm never lonely because i'm always busy but then when somebody else adds so much to your life it just is that much greater you may think you know mcdonald's drinks but you don't know them like this from fruity refreshers like the strawberry watermelon refresher and the
Sage Steele
mango pineapple refresher with popping boba to crafted sodas like the sprite berry blast
Sean Hannity
with berry flavored sprite topped with cold foam who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire six all new drinks
Sage Steele
are here try them all now at mcdonald's refreshers contain caffeine you know like
Sean Hannity
when i'm done i'm gonna tell her sage was horrible sage just you know sucked it all out of me got me to tell more stories than i thought i'd ever tell no she loves you and but you have to do this i'm just giving you an honest feeling i'm not good at like really opening up i am i am buttoned
Sage Steele
down pretty tight i so respect it i think it's a beautiful thing though
Sean Hannity
because i've told you more than i've told anybody publicly right here in this
Sage Steele
interview that means a lot to me no that means that means a lot to me and i feel like i can identify with a lot of what you're saying too which is why i am curious and why i wanted to dig deeper because i'm nodding because i i get it and i and i've been there nothing exactly the same of course i've been there and there is something really difficult about when you've been through some stuff when what when you've been through some tough times and in a relationship and then what do we all do human nature is to protect one hundred to close off and to say i'm not going to risk it again and i didn't even do it consciously and so what i didn't realize is that i was i was scared and closed off to receiving it again because i knew it wasn't what i dreamt of before obviously and a couple of things in the middle and you go okay maybe this just isn't for me and then when it starts to come your way you go oh oh wait that means i have to open up and risk it again were you did you feel that too yes okay
Sean Hannity
i'll give you another piece of the puzzle that worked for us the relationship was not i mean obviously she's a stunningly beautiful woman right i mean of course i would fall in love with that every day of the week but it was really the deeper connection was we we didn't go there but we talked and we prayed and i told her stuff like that i'd never told anybody in my entire life that i kept in and her reaction to my life was just i was kind of surprised at her reaction because she just thinks i led a crazy life and i think i lived the greatest life ever you know and it was so different than hers and then i would hear her stories i mean she grew up wanting to be she had a plan i had no plan my plan was you know to pay my next rent payment my plan was to survive especially in those years in my early twenties i had no money i was living paycheck to paycheck i didn't have my parents to rely on i literally dropped out of school because i ran out of money and you know she had way more she had southern values which i am way more of a southerner than i am a new yorker in any way shape manner or form and then i had we just had these incredible conversations that went hard and deep and held nothing back and i felt like really somebody for the first time actually knew me understood me cared and that that's what did it it wasn't just the beauty which is obvious it was just deeper than that and then she was such a good christian i mean then we just started doing a bible study to get a real bible study not a bible study not a bible study i know yeah interesting interesting you know there's two things that i think angie's like oh my word she won't say oh my god she's so good she won't say oh i had a sign oh my word i
Sage Steele
had a sign in my office that said back in connecticut said i love jesus but i cuss a little and i yeah i mean you got me to cuss within five minutes and it was awful so i'm gonna you believe
Sean Hannity
that she turns on that you know
Sage Steele
so you know what the key word is the key word is trust and it's funny it's like i could trust my friends my co workers but who could i trust in that way where i i was i wasn't afraid that if i was really honest that they would run away but you guys have
Sean Hannity
that i saw that from the day i met you guys and saw you together remember i kept saying oh how soon was it after you met after we all met did i say when are you guys getting married ten minutes maybe less right and then you went to the bathroom and then i got my answer it was awesome and then
Sage Steele
he started digging and asking a lot of questions i does that make you
Sean Hannity
mad that he told me ahead of
Sage Steele
you it's kind of cool that he
Sean Hannity
told sean hannity it was very cool
Sage Steele
he told me kind of amazing i
Sean Hannity
don't know what the sean hannity part
Sage Steele
is but it was cool everybody else does i you know how hard it
Sean Hannity
was not to make that phone call
Sage Steele
you don't even have my number oh
Sean Hannity
my staff has a phone number i
Sage Steele
don't have a computer that computer in your hand right there i know i
Sean Hannity
write my monologue every night for two
Sage Steele
okay what time is it i need to check okay because you have a show to write i can't be responsible
Sean Hannity
for you okay i got plenty of
Sage Steele
time okay well there's a few more things i want to get to super super important to me because the faith aspect that you're sharing i gave you
Sean Hannity
way more than i've ever given anybody just so you know i'm laying that out there but
Sage Steele
i don't know if you if i can properly express because sometimes i have trouble with words dave knows sometimes i just can't i'm like i can't find my words help me it just means a lot that you trusted me enough to to share that part and i and and i you
Sean Hannity
guys are you both know you're friends right i can't when we all we already talked about hanging out i know oh it's gonna be great i just
Sage Steele
saw your backyard so i really want to come hang out with your dog please one hundred take the dog on walks whatever it takes to come over i it just when this is what i have felt too since before i left espn when i started to give my opinions not even about controversial things but when when i would let go of my wall and that guard i would have up and be vulnerable not only was it therapeutic for me others would comment and say oh my gosh she's going through that too but still going to work every day because she loves her job and needs her job but loves it and smiles genuinely even though we're going through it so when people realize they're not alone with something to me it's worth revealing it's worth saying even things that my kids cringe or things that i'm afraid of i shouldn't say that or i'm going to hurt someone's feelings ex husband like all these things and certainly irrespectful but that is the most beautiful part of it is that when people can see that as badass as sean hannity is every single day and they they rely on you for things he's still human and he still had pain and fear and that's beautiful to me that's why i wanted to do this show the fear
Sean Hannity
from day one i know i refuse to be a fear of wall i tell people don't be fearful if there's
Sage Steele
one thing dads teach us it's to not cut corners not in work not in life and not in what you put on the table so this father's day don't go halfway give him american meat that meets his standards good ranchers partners with local farmers and ranchers to deliver one hundred percent american meat straight to your door it is pasture raised has no antibiotics and no added hormones and for father's day they make gifting and crafts incredibly easy you can schedule the delivery for a day that you know your dad will be home you can add a custom gift message and get free express shipping every order is backed by their satisfaction guarantee so there's no stress about shipping perishable food for a limited time when you purchase any father's day gift box from good ranchers they're going to throw in free wagyu burgers for dad to enjoy i've had those trust me they're phenomenal just head to goodranchers dot com comma pick out any father's day gift box and the free wagyu burgers will be automatically applied at checkout because dad deserves a gift that's a cut above the rest goodranchers dot com american meat delivered but isn't there some fear in not sharing excuse me fear and sharing which is why
Sean Hannity
you don't i don't you know it's a good question and i probably should analyze it a little bit more first of all there's parts i can't tell sure all right a and second secondly i always like to think of my kids and what they're going to hear not to be perfectly honest they don't i don't think they watch my show
Sage Steele
my kids do not watch my show
Sean Hannity
your kids are not going to would you want them in the public eye
Sage Steele
you mean to do a job like this i would i mean i say no but i also know that if they chose it they could handle it because they have felt it so i would have the confidence in them yes to do it and they know that
Sean Hannity
i'm glad my kids did not choose
Sage Steele
it yeah i mean i'm glad too my son is trying to do media production and behind the scenes and has nothing to do with me nothing nothing
Sean Hannity
it's beautiful it would be cool if
Sage Steele
you work together and there's potential for that but he is very sensitive about that and does not want anything given and i love that about him i
Sean Hannity
think once a week you should add another show oh i'm about to with
Sage Steele
my daughter first i love that can i okay i'm gonna tell you now but i'm gonna need your help when it happens her name is quinn and the show is gonna be called quinn
Sean Hannity
who's the older daughter younger daughter not the one you yelled at not that
Sage Steele
one she wants to she's like stay away from me with your camera the older one is hysterical and it's gonna be called quinn and her mom wow and we switched chairs and so she hosts and we've done three we just haven't put it out yet i can't wait absolutely hysterical and talking not talking about politics or anything controversial but you know that demographic with moms that demographic with twenty something girls conversations you know what could i have done better as a mom at what age should you let her drink is it waiting till she's twenty one like those kind of conversations and she is the funniest person probably that i've ever met can do the best impressions impersonations i can't think that will get her canceled i'm like don't do that one yeah don't do
Sean Hannity
that you of all people are telling her to zip it really no it is it is right come on it
Sage Steele
is why she should listen to me because i know how to get canceled
Sean Hannity
you know what the best thing ainsley says to young women says to women know your worth oh yes you know i say it a little differently in my way you teach people in life how to treat you correct i'm not taking from anybody now that old school new york guy never left the guy that could fight in a bar never left he needs to remain oh yeah you know i i'm not a martial artist i am but i am a situational street fighter and i've trained for fifteen years sticks blades firearms you name any situation i train for it whatever it may be have you ever killed
Sage Steele
somebody with your knives and no sage
Sean Hannity
i never have killed anybody no believe it or not i think i think one of the best lines somebody was getting in my grill a little bit and i stepped back and when you step back you always put your hands
Sage Steele
up on purpose protect your face well
Sean Hannity
in case something goes down they're already up yeah so you just keep them up and so i step back and i said look at me do not make me hurt you i will hurt you i will blind you i'll rake your jaw and i will knock you out it's usually like this see this like a quick like that then you could do a ear box that'll disorient them grab the back of their head pull it in like that head bottom i tell women all the time they always say oh just kick them no you take your thumbs you stick it in their eye socket and you rip that eyeball out not to win a fight to get away if you're feeling

innerbalance dot com i don't want i tell you don't have to win a fight if you got a guy and you stick your thumbs in those eyes and here's the other thing and my sensei says this to people that he trains to if you're a christian you believe in jesus okay if somebody's ever trying to put you in a car oh yeah die right there go see jesus that day fight to the bitter and you get in that car ninety nine of the time you are not coming home it's over take your thumbs stick it in their eyes and rip the eyeballs out of their head have you ever done that i haven't had
Sage Steele
to have you karate chopped
Sean Hannity
i put one little move on somebody that was being very aggressive once have you ear clapped just just i train and we do it i train four i mean
Sage Steele
when you're back in new york it's not happening here but have you had butted like have you had a real
Sean Hannity
fight i had to kind of hit somebody once but it was quick and it was over and then i like picked them up and i'm like i told you i told you don't make me hit you you know one more thing you do it other things most people can't throw a punch how do you throw a punch show me how
Sage Steele
to punch roll totally like you can't she can't punch because here's no like i have long arms and it just takes a while to get there
Sean Hannity
by
Sage Steele
the time i get there they will
Sean Hannity
have you know but the problem is straight like that oh no that's what
Sage Steele
i do to you right or you
Sean Hannity
like very good or if i parry it away you can do i teach people like younger people because most people you punch like that it's going to hurt the average person's wrist right i really if you teach a young person how to throw a hammer punch like if i do an eye poke earbud rake it across your jaw i'll rip it right off it right off its hinge go right to your brain knock you right down on the rock you know but i train for that every day like for example we do blaze sticks firearms you put a firearm like act like you're pointing a firearm in front of me okay yes boom i train to do that every day i just broke your finger stripped the gun if i move fast enough back tap it racket four over three whoa put it over my forehead like your finger okay okay i'll go up break your finger i'm not trying to hurt her
Sage Steele
did you hear the pop
Sean Hannity
it's not a pop it's a crack your knuckle
Sage Steele
crack crack okay we're gonna do it
Sean Hannity
again you go like up back jam you with it strip it step back
Sage Steele
tap it right that's like two seconds
Sean Hannity
right if you put it at my back you know first thing is i'll i'll come like this i'll come in with an elbow you showed you said you had long arms they're like okay if you first of all you got to throw a punch throw it straight but not like one of the strong one of the an uppercut's great but this is better oh my gosh you know if you come down like that around somebody it's over well because this
Sage Steele
is weak this but this is good
Sean Hannity
but most people don't know how to look at my fingers they're all broken
Sage Steele
i feel like you've been in a
Sean Hannity
lot of fights no well i hit the heavy bag bare fisted is that like oh yeah that's i've broken every finger multiple times no it was too
Sage Steele
ugly no it's really impressive it's really impressive i think it's impressive but it looks like an nfl players you want
Sean Hannity
to hit with your knuckle like that but you should practice like go to a gym and you know but now
Sage Steele
i got a man is he with you all the time pretty much
Sean Hannity
is that are you a fighting machine
Sage Steele
you know he served in iraq you know he's been to war i do so i feel very safe and by the way i'm five eleven almost six foot with hair probably six one depends on the day there is something about being with a man who's six four it means a lot for someone like me and i have a father my dad i have five my dad was six six six seven he's now about six three my brother chad is almost six eight seven and my brother's almost six eight another brother's six five so i come from you know feeling protected more
Sean Hannity
children tall athletes could have it's too
Sage Steele
late this thing called menopause it's all jacks yep okay wait i need to see terrible segue but i need first of all the fact that i almost got my eyes gouged out here like best interview best interview ever i saw that you six years ago seven years ago you left the catholic faith you saw what is that true that you left catholicism i did well no it
Sean Hannity
was actually it's been a while but let me preface it by saying because i know where you're going with this oh my gosh that all those comments
Sage Steele
that's not that's not that's not answer
Sean Hannity
you really want me all right
Sage Steele
did
Sean Hannity
you hang up on her no she didn't pick up wow i don't know if she teasing you or what but
Sage Steele
ainsley was falling okay i'm not i'm not going the way you think mainly because i'm catholic too and i've also struggled and so i'm genuinely i went
Sean Hannity
to catholic school for twelve years and you know i studied latin i studied theology it was a seminary in high school it was actually academically a really good school the moral foundation that i wouldn't have the moral foundation i had but for the church for all of that i'm grateful i think the mass is beautiful you know communion last supper you know do this in memory of me you know he took he took bread he broke the bread gave it to his disciples and said take this eat this is my body given up for you cup a cup of my blood the new the everlasting come i believe all that and it's a very beautiful experience unfortunately i did learn too much and the first twelve hundred years of the church priests were allowed to marry i don't know why they got rid of that and i think then they reduced the pool of potential candidates it got very hard when my kids were young and you'd have somebody saying mass and they couldn't understand three words the guy was saying and not able to relate to them yeah i don't like how they handled their scandal sure but putting that aside and you know when i got in when i made comments about the pope not having the moral clarity to understand that radical islamists are evil because they'll strap bombs on their own children with a promise of seventy two virgins in heaven and that their faith is teaching them that
Sage Steele
imagine being a young woman who's just found out she's pregnant and everything feels uncertain you don't know where to turn who to trust or even fully understand what's happening in your own body and meanwhile you're hearing voices telling you it's just a clump of cells but deep down you know that's not the whole story and here's the reality when a woman is given the chance to see an ultrasound to actually see her baby to hear that heartbeat it can change everything that moment brings clarity it brings truth and it often gives her the confidence to choose life that is why preborn exists when you help provide an ultrasound through preborn you're not just giving a medical service you're giving a woman the chance to see to understand and to make an informed life changing decision in fact when a woman sees that ultrasound she's twice as likely to choose life and here's something else that matters one hundred percent of your donation goes directly to providing those ultrasounds administrative costs are covered separately so your gift goes exactly where it's needed the most it's tangible twenty eight dollars sponsors one ultrasound and for those who feel called to give at a higher level fifteen thousand dollars can fund an entire ultrasound machine helping save lives for years to come so if this is in your heart i encourage you to act today dial pound two hundred and fifty and say baby or visit preborn dot com sage to give securely that is preborn dot com

sage sunshine
Ainsley Earhardt

Ainsley Earhardt
so amazing hi anley tell her how
Sean Hannity
much we talked about her special i'll be right back you guys talk oh
Sage Steele
my gosh you are so kind he's getting up to to pee real quick because i i made him talk about talk about way too much because he's like so special and kind and makes me get emotional and tried to gouge my eyes out a second ago showing me his self defense moves i know
Ainsley Earhardt
did he do that on you oh
Sage Steele
my gosh listen the fact that i haven't been able to spend any time with you barely on tv annoys me so he has promised and i have witnesses here that we're going to try to fix that oh my gosh sorry
Ainsley Earhardt
i just took a bite of my
Sean Hannity
food this is dangerous by the way honey all of this is being recorded you can tell her what i said tell her everything i said you tell
Sage Steele
her whatever you want we said a lot well we're currently at the white elephant hotel in palm beach we're in
Sean Hannity
a hotel room honey where are you
Sage Steele
nashville yeah but it's also fort lauderdale i just am not here nearly as much so we flew in from nashville today and then drove up here her
Sean Hannity
husband's here stephanie's here my security's here this guy this camera dude is here
Sage Steele
and we have just talked talked about so many special things and including your faith together and how and how that
Sean Hannity
really was the and how special she
Sage Steele
is to me yeah i know and of course how stunningly beautiful yes so
Ainsley Earhardt
i just you're fake are you are
Sean Hannity
you a christian she if we're at a dinner party she will always turn it on the other person no one
Sage Steele
hundred percent we're at but we are we are recording we are recording you're
Sean Hannity
recording right now sunshine what do i if somebody attacks you what do i tell you to go for no more
Ainsley Earhardt
importantly i want to know about sage and make sure she's going to heaven
Sean Hannity
oh my word you i know you're
Ainsley Earhardt
a christian and love you we have
Sage Steele
to hang out i would love to and i am a christian but we were i was just asking sean about catholicism because i was raised catholic as well and still we were in italy last month and went to mass their easter sunday mass it was beautiful every almost every and i have a lot of questions and dave and i were that's how we really bonded over the phone we lived in different states and faith was the number one most important thing when we decided to move forward like there's right and i also think that's an age thing i think that's a wisdom thing i think that's being going through tough times with you know prior relationships marriages whatever guys i think
Ainsley Earhardt
a lot of guys will hook a christian woman and then they change when they're so i love that your husband and sean they never did like we were i've had different relationships where some of them are really strong christians and
Sean Hannity
they've talked i have to hear about
Ainsley Earhardt
old boyfriends but what i've found with sean is he is true he's real he loves the lord like we will watch sermons we watch he said you
Sage Steele
started with it with the bible study
Ainsley Earhardt
we did we did and i will say he grew up catholic and i was the one who led him to christ by the grace of god not me i shouldn't i'm not taking credit
Sage Steele
right but just that time he asked
Sean Hannity
me if i'm going to heaven i said it's up to god no you're
Ainsley Earhardt
going to heaven i said because the bible says if you believe it in your heart and your mind your soul your spirit you are going to heaven do you believe that jesus christ is the son of god i said yes yes do you believe you're going to heaven and he said i don't know
Sean Hannity
i don't that's up to god it's
Ainsley Earhardt
so arrogant for me to think that i'm going to go to heaven i mean i'm a sinner and i said no but that that's what the bible teaches us because i grew up in the episcopal church which is a lot a lot like the catholic church where you're not really sure if you're going to have it it's true yeah you feel you feel you feel really arrogant saying that like who am i to say i'm going to heaven but if you go to the baptist church or the non denominational churches they'll teach you if you accept jesus then you're going to heaven oh i love it hayden my daughter just got home so cute i love it you are adorable out of control she just she just bought a new backpack from lululemon hi hayden can you say hi to sage this is my friend hi hayden really cool she's going to middle school next year sage do you have children i do
Sage Steele
i do they're all old though they're twenty four twenty two twenty and i know i know i thought you were
Ainsley Earhardt
my you're you look like you're younger
Sage Steele
than me you are you are having another child honey no i'm fifty three and that those days are my it's all shriveled up sean it's not happening that whatever was inside of me menopause has taken it all it's over and then sean goes oh you could have you could do surrogate i'm like stop it right now stop it we don't we're not having this conversation imagine going
Ainsley Earhardt
back to diapers no no i'm on
Sage Steele
i want to be on my honeymoon forever we've been married for seven months eight months sean i need him to come and inspect my new wallpaper if

Ainsley Earhardt

kidding no he did not i wouldn't have let him i swear no i
Sean Hannity
did not i no i mean just telling them how wonderful you are and how lucky and blessed i am the happier my life that's a summary oh
Sage Steele
it is you don't have to thank
Sean Hannity
me for telling the truth and she puts up with my cursing a little bit she knows the new york side
Sage Steele
of me yeah i mean there's some
Sean Hannity
things you can't change that's why i was saying what do i tell you
Ainsley Earhardt
to do because honestly i'd rather have his faith really is genuine it is
Sean Hannity
yeah i already told her about nearly getting kicked out of high school or my poor mom going i talked about
Ainsley Earhardt
hitchhiking he said gd on air which sage knows is like sean you cannot
Sean Hannity
say that i said it in huntsville
Sage Steele
alabama oh nowhere i can't say anywhere especially in huntsville okay
Sean Hannity
i grew up every other word was the f word just for the record gd's aren't the worst oh i learned i learned in huntsville i never said it again
Ainsley Earhardt

Sean Hannity
didn't know i didn't know i really
Sage Steele
didn't he really i know now thank god for ainsley no thank god for
Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity

Ainsley Earhardt
up for instance like my daughter everyone says when they have to go to the bathroom she says can i say i've got to go and i can't even say it she says this is
Sean Hannity
all on camera just so you're aware
Ainsley Earhardt
i'll tell you what she says she says mom all the girls in my class say can i go pee i said no you're not allowed to say that i said that i grew up in the south my mother never said the he said may i go to the ladies room may i go may i go tinkle may i go tt like we we say may i my
Sean Hannity
twenty four year old daughter's going to the bathroom i'll say one or two
Sage Steele

Sean Hannity
we gotta go we love you sweetheart okay love you take care of your
Ainsley Earhardt
voice don't say pee say may i
Sean Hannity
go to the ladies what do you say you won't say omg what do
Ainsley Earhardt
you say oh my gosh oh my
Sean Hannity
gosh that's not what you say usually say in some goodness no you always say oh oh my word that's what
Sage Steele
she says that's south carolina oh yeah
Ainsley Earhardt
big time in vain no and you
Sean Hannity
can't butcher the king's english no and you can't talk street talking new york like i grew up look i know
Ainsley Earhardt
we don't serve a queen but our language did come from britain and from the uk so you can't murder the king's english they can't do that honestly think education and language is important we're
Sean Hannity
dying laughing here all right love you sunshine i'll see you later sunshine thank
Ainsley Earhardt
you i love you bye sage bye
Sage Steele
wow she is precious she's awesome she's the best precious yeah i love every moment of that no one's gonna watch this we did warn her three times we were recording we did oh yeah
Sean Hannity
we did it was all legal she
Sage Steele
got it it was all legal okay
Sean Hannity
oh you have another question last topic
Sage Steele
before i end on the fun part
Sean Hannity
to answer i'm very grateful to the church however she is right in that story she told inasmuch as i was raised catholic and she said well do you know you're going to heaven and i'm like well that's up to god i don't get that to do choose that i don't deserve to go i know that part and i really believe nobody deserves to go and she's she said well that's the whole point you know jesus you know came to earth was born of the virgin mary became man suffered died was buried to reconcile us to the father and you know then john three sixteen right you know for whoever loves the lord right how was john three sixteen go help me out for for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son whoever believes in him shall have everlasting life and then on the cross this day you'll be with me in paradise my my favorite phrase i say it at the end of every tv show let not your heart be troubled the biblical quote goes on to say in my father's house are many mansions and i go to prepare a place for you so that where i am ye shall also be it's a beautiful
Sage Steele
phrase beautiful and i've always loved that you've ended your show with that well
Sean Hannity
i'm saying it to the audience a lot of people actually comment on that
Sage Steele
well and also because you're going at it quite often during your show and to end on that i think is perfect and necessary do you see the smile on his face do you see
Sean Hannity
that confidence there's a lot of confidence behind that statement you're running for president
Sage Steele
aren't you no
Sean Hannity
you could be the president you run oh heck no you guys run as a team i want
Sage Steele
to end on word association with some familiar names oh no it's fun it's fun and so you know what that you know what that rule means it's
Sean Hannity
fun means it's fun for her oh
Sage Steele
this is so fun i can't wait but you know what that means word association like the rule is what i
Sean Hannity
have no idea one word one word
Sage Steele
to describe this person not a word
Sean Hannity
with an explanation i know impossible this
Sage Steele
is a challenge for you okay all right one word one word to describe each person gavin newsom loser roger goodell pc alexander barkov
Sean Hannity

Sage Steele
realize the difference that you've made in the lives of so many people by being true to yourself you really want
Sean Hannity
me to answer that you're not gonna
Sage Steele
you're so humble i know that you're gonna say oh i'm just you have made such a difference i have watched you from the moment i started to care which was really when i became a mom that's when everything changes and you educated me gave me some courage and i'm humbled by that made me because you're very made me say okay i'm a loser if i'm not true to myself but you have taught me and millions of people that so i love that you're grateful know how grateful we are and how grateful i am
Sean Hannity
i look i love spending time i'm so happy you know this this business we're in is not a zero sum game my success or failure is not predicated on other people's success or failure i actually want more successful people you know you're going to be a success because i think heart wins out and people read hearts radio is a warmer medium than tv because they only hear the real person and you can't fake it for three hours a day you cannot you can't fake it on this either and i'm just very grateful for your friendship i have never spent any real time ever thinking about any impact that i've had i don't i i just want to do the best shows i can do every day with the notion that if you build it they will come and i just leave it
Sage Steele
you've built it you have built it and provided opportunities for so many along the way that's the part that i hope that you ken in your quiet moments yeah won't happen can we do it for him let's continue to do it for him all right god bless you cut no

This episode is marked by warmth, vulnerability, humor, and honesty—a rare, unguarded look at one of America’s most visible media figures. Hannity, usually seen as combative and guarded, lets down his walls to share philosophies on family, faith, love, and self-protection, while Sage guides the conversation with compassion and candor. The surprise inclusion of Ainsley Earhardt elevates the dynamic, offering further insight into Hannity’s spiritual journey and the anchoring effect of genuine partnership and faith. The tone remains conversational, occasionally playful, but always sincere.
