Our guest today is Dr. Joe Arboleda-Velasquez. His work focuses on CADASIL (cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy), the most common inherited small-vessel disease (SVD) of the brain, and, more generally, on ischemic stroke. He is working towards the development of new and effective therapies to help patients suffering from CADASIL and vascular dementia.
