In this episode of The Scoop, multimedia reporter Dara Alitoro interviewed students Dakota Tooley (‘26), Claire Desrosiers (‘28), Juliet Chiu (‘31), ninth-grade Dean of Culture, Community and Belonging, Stephanie Ferri and Director of Facilities and Operations, Pamela Connor to learn more about Color Wars and how the Archer community celebrates it. They discussed their opinions on the relay race, tug-of-war and mural making, which took place during Color Wars.

In this episode of the scoop, multimedia reporters Allison O’Boyle and Elisabetta Silveri summarized and dissected the meeting on Tues. March 17 with speaker Lena Jones. Jones is a 2020 Archer Alum, who spoke about global volunteerism and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals issued in 2015, by the United Nations. They shared three easy everyday goals, to help listeners live a more sustainable life.

In this episode of The Scoop, multimedia reporter Christina Williams interviewed students Sophie Salehi (‘28), Arianna Aram (‘30) and Zoe Eyraud (‘28) along with history teacher Nicholas Graham to gain a better understanding of what exactly is happening within the strike on Iran. They investigated the history behind the US and Iran’s relationship, as well as what the future may hold for the two countries.

In this episode of The Scoop, multimedia reporter Phoebe Casparian (‘27) and co-outreach editor Shae Killam (‘27) explored the behind-the-scenes process of writing, clothing and producing the Upper School play, “Love, Loss, and What I Wore.” They interviewed Archer’s costume designer, Johnnyangel Paneda, who works diligently backstage to clothe the cast in era-appropriate costumes. They also interviewed Quinn Evans-Agard (‘26) about the writing process of the second act, and Gaia Bhavsar (‘27) about the meaning behind clothing items on a backstage rack.

In this episode of The Scoop, multimedia reporter Izzie Erickson (‘28) interviewed sophomores Josie Le Blanc and Bonnie Van Hoytema, along with two guardians of kids at the park, Jaida and Validea. They investigate the importance of parks and how these community spaces encourage stronger social skills for kids, while also improving residents mental health.

For the final day of Scholastic Journalism Week, Multimedia reporter Izzie Erickson ('28) sits down with News Editor Phoebe Measer ('27) and Co-Editor-in-Chief Emily Paschall ('26) to form a deeper understanding of how journalists cover an event in a punctual manner, while also upholding a standard of accuracy and reliability.

In this episode of The Scoop, Co-Editor-in-Chief Oona Seppala interviewed Oracle Features Editor Lola Thomas (‘26), Head of Scholastic Journalism Kristen Taylor and journalist Chace Beech (‘12) about how pressure shapes journalists at every stage of their careers. They explore how working under public scrutiny, navigating ethical dilemmas and balancing speed with accuracy ultimately sharpens a journalist’s skills and their sense of responsibility and purpose.
